this year. They could have spread it out more evenly,
they did it. This is a complete rebuilding year. Sean
Payton loves bonicks who's had a rough time in the
state of Washington. I understand that, so there's there's not

on bow Nick so far?

Well, he's twenty four years old and he's married. And
if you saw the BMW Championship on TV, that's Castle Pines,
which is a very fufu shishi area of suburban Denver.
Yea well, bo Nix and his wife bought a four
million dollar mansion out there somewhat close to that golf course.
The reason I bring that up is this is a

guy who wasn't looking for the night life. Trust me,
if you live up in Castle Pines, you're a multi
millionaire and you must love entertaining at your home because
there's nothing else to do up there. So this is
not a guy looking to trip the light fantastic or
you know, set the world on fire with that. He's
kind of like twenty four going on forty. He's the

son of a quarterback, son of a coach. In a
very flattering way to me, He's a quarterback robot. And
although Russ is like a weird robot, he's not a
Russ doesn't process anything, you know that right, Russ does
not process coaches information. Russ, while he was in Seattle,

was a great athlete and just sort of scrambled around
and Pete Carroll win and get away with it for
a decade plus, probably driving him nuts. But Sean Payton
hated it. Sean Peyton is all about the process, all
about diagnosing things, and boon Nick's is extraordinary at that,
really really good at his sixty one starts in college safety. Man,

a lot of college quarterbacks would be better off if
they spent a little bit more time getting that kind
of experience. So there's a lot of things that blid
being a rookie. Okay, for example, Zak Wilson's on this team,
and they kept three quarterbacks, including Zach Wilson. Zach Wilson
is the same age as Bo Knids and has thirty
four starts, and he's like ptsde brother after being out

there in New York, he has damaged freaking goods. This
summer was like the rehab of Zach Wilson and keep
the bombs in the closet, you know, look out. So
everything was Zach was way different though, is more mature
than that, which sounds nuts, and I think he's ready
for the gig. It'll be it won't be anything spectacular,

but if you need that ball one two and a half,
throw the ball. He's that guy and his accuracy has
been phenomenal. He was like that all camp, he was
like that in preseason, and I'm not exactly sure why
it wouldn't continue. I mean, we'll see on Sunday, but dude,
this is a developmental year for the Broncos. The pressure's

Brissette over Drake may in New England because the Patriots

a rookie right to the Wolves is smart out of him. Denver,

I think has a little bit of a softer road
right Pittsburgh, Tampa Raiders, Chargers New Orleans. So I think
starting him over Stidham is the right call because they
don't have a murderer's row the way the Patriots do.

is why would you le Broncos actually have a really
high paid offensive line. They do. They've got a lot
invested in the two tackles in McGlinchey, well you know,

to Quinn Minors, who's their right guard. Ben Powers got

a big free agencyal left guard. They got a new
center that's kind of the new piece of the puzzle.
But there's a lot of money in that. And Bonix
didn't you know, he did not take a sack in

they'll run, They'll run the ball first of all, they'll
try to overpower you. They'll run a lot of play
action and then the bonus can move enough. Softee, yeah,

There's so many positive fis and Boulder is an amazing
city if you've never been here. Everything is positive. However,
there's a lot of us that are very unsure if

walks in here and wins this game.

everybody realizes that, and it was the best they could
do under the circumstance. Russ was never the plan ever, Yeah,

I mean he was the fallback option out of total
desperations because the Denver Broncos picked Bradley Shubb over Josh
Allen in twenty eighteen and have been paying for it
ever since.
Speaker 1 (11:34):
Well, there's a couple of familiar names. Luke Wattenberg is
a former Husky. Cody Barton's a former Seahawk obviously, so
a couple of names that we know on that roster.
But I got to ask you, d mac Darren McKee

close to eight thirty, so getting kind of close to

But give me a take on how people in Denver

are reacting to the circus that has Dion Sanders and
up and Boulder, and if they start to lose, how
much longer will they put up with his show if
he's not winning games.

First of all, you suck at times, though, but look

Speaker 1 (12:11):
Second, I'm sorry, is it seven fifteen out there now?
I don't really worry about anything that's happening in the
mountains or the woods.
Speaker 3 (12:20):
Prime is something else. Brother. I don't know if he
knows how to manage a game or coach, but he
does know how to recruit. He does know how to
draw attention to things. So there's a lot of really
positive things in terms of attention to the University of Colorado.
Enrollment's up, diversity minority enrollment is up, which is really
(12:42):
really good. The games are sold out, which is great.
There's so many positive fis and Boulder is an amazing
city if you've never been here. Everything is positive. However,
there's a lot of us that are very unsure if
he knows what's actually happening to manage a game, and
Shadur Sanders all the busy to do last week and
(13:06):
was basically kneel on the ball and they win the game. Instead,
shoulders hucking up like fifty yard bonds so that he
could get near five hundred yards and five hundred touchdowns.
Pasco's incomplete and it's like, oh, I guess we're gonna
give North Dakota State the ball back for no reason,
and that if you missed it, that game ended with

a completed hail Mary where the dude was tackled at
the four yard line like they were four yards away
from pulling off a huge upset and boulder. And we
had a lot of games like that. Never mind the blowouts.
You know what Oregon did to them, what Washington State
(13:48):
did to the bus last year was humiliating. So that's
all on Prime's watch too. But he's a man. Prime
is a big deal. He's a really really big deal,
And at the end of the day, he's not on
any kind of hot seat. He can have the job
at See You, seriously, dude, because he brings so many
other things that are positive to the university. He's on
(14:12):
zero hot seat. I don't care what his record is.
He can have that job at See You for the
rest of his life. He's on zero hot.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
Seat, right, you really care about winning down there? I
guess then, well, hey.
Speaker 1 (14:23):
Listen, I mean honestly, if he goes three and nine,
you're telling me the seat doesn't get a little warm.
Speaker 3 (14:29):
Zero hot seat wow zero wow. Right, it's a weird eight.
Speaker 2 (14:34):
That's kind of lame, to be honest with you.
Speaker 3 (14:36):
Man. Well, that's where you did. Welcome to where they did. Bro,
They've been a ridiculous afterthought in the Pac twelve. Yeah,
I mean they did finish last in the pack twelve.
