Speaker 1 (00:05):
We want to make a little extra pocket change for
this weekend. I do, well, look no further than Paramount
Sports leastly did tell you.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
See Jackson, Lee's week had just been kind of you know,
hovering around five hundred, and then we get rid of
Softy last Friday and Lee comes on and what do
you do?
Speaker 3 (00:28):
Lee?
Speaker 4 (00:30):
Four and one, almost the perfect five, and I.
Speaker 2 (00:33):
Got I got good news for you again, my friends South,
he's gone again. Oh yes, you nailed USC over Penn
States with the points you uh, you nailed unfortunately Iowa,
(00:54):
which was an easy cover over you dub much easier
than I was thinking it was going to be. You
nailed Green Bay minus the five over Arizona, and you
nailed by like four five touchdowns Detroit minus three against
the cream buff Dallas Cowboys.
Speaker 3 (01:09):
So you are.
Speaker 2 (01:10):
Nineteen fifteen and one on the air with us this week,
and it is time to extend that winning percentage out
and we start with, you know, one of the biggest,
if not the biggest college football game of the year
thus far in a while. Bama Georgia was huge a
couple of weeks ago, but number one Texas and Georgia
is pretty big as well.
Speaker 3 (01:29):
Texas giving four against the Dogs. Who do you like?
Speaker 4 (01:33):
Well, you know, I think that Texas might be the
most talented team I may define two and a half.
So sometimes it's not how good you are, it's when
you team play a team and how you match up. Texas,
I thought we know more about them. You know, had
Michigan on the schedule. Well turns out Michigan one hundred
and thirty first pass offense. Then they play Oklahoma. This
(01:56):
might be the worst Oklahoma team I've seen the two techas.
Their offense is brutal, the defense is, oh, I mean
above average, but I mean you just can't do it
with defense. You gotta have special teams and also some
kind of offense. So their average total get this is
down almost eighteen points as far as you know combining
(02:17):
the two teams. So it just kind of shows you
what happened to their offense and the rest of the
schools they played dickerds. I mean these are like directional schools. Now,
Georgia did lose to Alabama, but going there and playing
the team down to the wire, having a lead with
two minutes to go, nothing to be ashamed about. And
they're a game and I know what the top tier
(02:40):
game they can play is was against Clemson. I mean
they won thirty four to three. They held Clemson to
one hundred and eighty eight total yards, and since that game,
Clemson's piled up anywhere between four hundred and five and
seven hundred and twelve yards. I think their backs are
against the wall. They're not going to be intimidated. Go
into Texas here, do you think this game looks like
(03:01):
the passing of the torch from the two time college
football champion Georgia to Texas? Don't take debait here, Georgia
thirty to twenty fourth grade?
Speaker 3 (03:09):
Right, all right?
Speaker 2 (03:10):
Well, this next game was one that Softy picked on
fact or fiction. He liked the purdon't boiler Makers, plus
the twenty seven at home against the Duckies.
Speaker 3 (03:21):
I kind of agreed with them.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
You know, Oregon coming off the huge win and at home.
Now they're going on the road. Kind of a sleepy
atmosphere at Purdue.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
Who do you like.
Speaker 4 (03:32):
So that win? I mean storming the field. We have
not seen that type of game from Gabriel. I mean
maybe maybe going back to central forward to day, I
didn't see anything like that when he played at Oklahoma,
so give him credit. They played up to a very
high level. But they're still one to three against the
(03:53):
spread lang points this season against unranked opponents. They're traveling
on on a short week here in four touchdowns, coming
off that huge monumental win, and Purdue might still be
undervalued here or off that string of prior blowout defeats.
I think this is dog or don't play the game
(04:14):
at all. And they did cover last week and took
the game right down to the wire. They might have
found the quarterback here and Ryan Brown who threw for
almost three hundred yards and ran for over one hundred yards,
so at least they got a quarterback that can eat
the clock out move the chains here. They're not the
spoiler makers, but Purdue covers forty to twenty one.
Speaker 3 (04:34):
All right, forty to twenty one, so it's at least
somewhat of a game. We move on to the NFL.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
The Rams getting a bit healthier, you know, still banged up,
but getting a bit healthier. They are six point favorites
against the hapless Vegas Raiders.
Speaker 4 (04:49):
Wow, Raiders, I mean bad state here. They entered this game.
I mean you would think that they would have something
to show but not much. Los Angeles entered its by
last week just one and four. Now, what did they
do last year? They were three and six when they
went into their by and then they made a run
(05:11):
seven to one down the stretch, which we all remember.
Raiders are an absolute mess. Antonio pierced their head coach.
Who did you read some of the stuff that went
on in the show cause penalty had for five years?
No scary. I mean during COVID he and Jadeen Daniel's
mother for part of the time she helped him. They
(05:31):
were basically crisscrossing the United States looking for players not
supposed to contact anyone had a five year show cause. Well,
at least he's honest about the state of the team.
Here's what he said, quote unquote. He said that we're
not coaching well enough, we're not playing well enough, and
we're not detailing well enough. Sean McVay gives the Rams
(05:56):
I think a huge monumental coaching edge here. Matt Stafford
monster quarterback edge. I mean An O'Connell and Gardner Minshew.
These guys are pretty much perennial backups. And Vegas is
surrendered thirty two, thirty four and thirty six points and
three in the last four games. Raiders have just two
(06:16):
takeaways on the season. Are you kidding me? Rams Big
thirty four ten?
Speaker 1 (06:20):
All right?
Speaker 3 (06:21):
Love it, all right?
Speaker 2 (06:21):
This next one was my factor fiction pick. Earlier in
the week, I took the forty nine Ers.
Speaker 3 (06:27):
Minus point against Kansas City. Do you agree with me?
Speaker 4 (06:32):
Well, I think that San Francisco a lot of people
will play them because of the revenge factor. You guys
had it when you played Michigan. But how about this
Andy Reid coming out of a buy twenty one and three.
I know, how about Patrick Mahomes as an underdog only
thirteen three and one since he became the starting quarterback.
(06:53):
They may not get the most takeaways. I do believe
that Kansas City has the best defense. Now it looks
like they're going to get the they're backup running back
for this game. But I think Kansas City defense is
what stands out. Also, they're special teams. Kansas City thirty
to twenty.
Speaker 3 (07:08):
Yeah, it's very dangerous to go against Andy Reid back.
There's no question and there's no guess about that.
Speaker 2 (07:14):
All right, Atlanta Ian just took the Hawks plus the
points Atlanta minus three at home against Seattle. What do
you like?
Speaker 4 (07:23):
That's the urgency here for the Hawks after those three
losses in a row, falling no, no, no shamefalling the
lines in the forty nine Ers Giants game, frustrating, they
just got dominated. It was not good. Seattle has some
extra time game playing here playing last Thursday. Atlanta, on
the other hand, fat and maybe happy following those three
(07:44):
win versus all three NFC South Division victories. A lot
of teams after playing a couple uh uh, you know,
regular foes that are big and like I said, in
the Inner Division, they come out flat that next game here.
So so Kirk Cousins is a huge upgrade here, but
they'll be without their I think their best safe safety here,
(08:05):
Micah Abernathy. That's who they're going to go after here.
I think DK Metcalf's gonna have a big game here,
maybe even Tyler Lockett two wrong team Seattle outright thirty
one twenty eight.
Speaker 3 (08:17):
That'd be a big win for the Hawks, no question
about it.
Speaker 2 (08:19):
And your free play at Paramount Sports was actually the
game I just picked. You can't give it out on
the air, but maybe you can text me wink wink
nod not or something like that.
Speaker 3 (08:27):
Tell me why I was I was right or not?
Speaker 2 (08:29):
Indiana Kurt Signetti has got him undefeated minus six and
a half against Nebraska.
Speaker 3 (08:36):
How do we get the free play of the week.
Speaker 4 (08:38):
All they need to do is call eight hundred four
hundred nine seven four to one. First five callers, we
are going to give in that game for free. I
have a real strong opinion on one side of that game.
So anyone wants to get the game called eight hundred
four hundred nine to seven, four to one. And how
about this last weekend we had the five for fifty
(08:59):
five college football in the NFL and it included a
forty to fifty unit max wager. Both days we went
four to one both days. Just like on the show,
we are going to finish out the month strong. We
call it not October. October fourteen days of selections here
comes out to like fourteen to fifteen bucks a day,
(09:20):
one hundred and ninety seven dollars. It was three to
ninety seven lowered two hundred dollars for every one. So
they can hop on board one hundred ninety seven dollars
through Halloween. Just one place, Paramount sports dot Com.
Speaker 3 (09:31):
Thanks man, we'll talk to you next week.
Speaker 4 (09:33):
Sounds good.
Speaker 3 (09:34):
Dick Tick care as oer man Lee Sterling will bring
you back in the fall.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
Let's have a Ryan Grub discussion after Top of our
Headlines on ninety three point three KJRFM
