Speaker 1 (00:01):
We love hearing from you, so keep it coming. Facebook, Instagram,
you can email us at Murphy Samanjody dot com shared
a picture of my packing cubes, which I have started
using for the first time just recently on our business
trip guys, and I can't wait to use one vacation
next week.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
What made you decide to get those?
Speaker 1 (00:20):
I put them on a wish list last Christmas time,
and my cousin Candace bought them for me because I
thought they were cool. I thought, so, what a cool idea,
Because in a suitcase I've always had, it's like there's
too much stuff here to look at. There's too much stuff.
Speaker 2 (00:33):
Well, if you're packing a big suitcase and you don't
use dividers, it's just going to be a big lump.
Speaker 1 (00:37):
It's going to be a big bunch of will and
Nelly stuff, even if you roll it up tight like Sam,
and you know, make it all crazy. So I didn't know.
I a was skeptical actually, and now I'm in love
with it. Did you see the picture? Sam? All I
do is one container is pants, the other one is tops,
and the third one is delicates under things. I don't
(00:59):
go super's crazy, you know, I don't divide by color
or day. You can do it anyway you want.
Speaker 3 (01:04):
You can put a whole day's outfit in one you.
Speaker 1 (01:07):
Can, That's what I'm saying. You can do the day thing,
and it just makes it easier when you open it up.
It's like Lah Casey says regarding packing cubes, such a
game change. Or we just use some for a cruise
and I'll never go back to my old packing ways.
Christy says, my husband is the one who's obsessed with
these things. H haha, Elaine, I love mine. They really
do give you more space. Took mine to Scotland last
(01:30):
year and again for carry on for short haul flights.
Speaker 2 (01:33):
See what I'm interested in is what I was because
I was reading about them, and I actually have bought
some by the way that are on the way of course, yeah,
I know time for our vacation. Mur they should be
here by in time for our vacation.
Speaker 3 (01:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:44):
If not, I have extras.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
The it's the compression part of it, yeah, but what
it would actually squeezes down actually, and of course it's
gonna make your suitcase more heavy, but it squeezes down
and because of the compression, you can actually fit more
in yourself.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
I have some for some reason, like all my tops
in one little square cube. It's definitely more space saving.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
Yeah, I'm curious. You know what I think this comes
from though, being a you know, the whole kid thing
camping and having camping gear and things that you that's
why it's exciting to me. It's another thing.
Speaker 1 (02:14):
That's another thing for me.
Speaker 2 (02:15):
It's it's practical.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
It's that it just seems together, which makes me feel
more together. Does that make sense, Yes, Leslie. I used
them for the first time earlier this month for a
week trip, and I love them. Ronda said, I just
got packing cubes for my trip in a few weeks.
I'll let you know how it goes. And Sam is
still you're still not a fan.
Speaker 3 (02:32):
I don't meet him.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
No room for improvement.
Speaker 4 (02:35):
H Coming up with Murphy, Sam and Jody.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
Jody has three things to know today coming up at
six fifty.
Speaker 1 (02:42):
Coming up next though, Susan has to keep the wow
for today. Got an email from Lisa here and I'm
so grateful for it. Murphy, I'll get right into it.
Regarding the issue with shaving your dog Sparky, did we
agree he was shaved too closely? He was really messed
up psychologic at.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
Least a week. He was how Sam loves it, but yeah,
it's horrible.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
It wasn't funny.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
Yeah, he took up smoking.
Speaker 5 (03:10):
Regarding he's not behind the shed smoking.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
Regarding the issue with saving your dark dog, Sparky. It's
called breezy butt. No joke, although it sounds hilarious. They
don't like not having hair in those areas where the
hair used to be. It totally freaks them out. Yes,
I've heard that too, and the vet tag when I
brought into the vet shed. Yeah, you definitely hurt his feelings.
(03:33):
You emasculated him, is what she said.
Speaker 2 (03:35):
What's interesting about it. I get that you know that
it you know it freaks them out too, But I
can tell you it freaks us out. When you see him.
Speaker 1 (03:45):
It looks like that. There. He's a long hair Chihuahua.
So basically he's just a hair with eyes.
Speaker 5 (03:50):
Coming or going.
Speaker 3 (03:51):
Huh.
Speaker 1 (03:51):
Anyway, he's back to.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
The he was about to whistle.
Speaker 6 (03:57):
That's called breezy butt, Murphy butt.
Speaker 1 (04:00):
Thank you, Lisa, I mean it, okay. Moving on to
Susan's keep the Wow. Keep the Wow is my motto.
It's just a reminder for yourself talk, to be about
the times you've wowed yourself and forget about your mistakes.
You know, it's about self talk and sharing with us
your wows. Susan said this. I started drinking only water
(04:21):
for the summer, started on June first. I already feel better.
I feel it. It's not as hard as I thought
it would be. But I do miss coffee. I may
work coffee back in for the mornings only, but wow,
keep the wow.
Speaker 2 (04:35):
Yeah. Remember one of our former bosses did that. I
don't Chris, Yeah, Alli drank was water. He'd stop drinking
coffee and.
Speaker 1 (04:41):
All that, and then, yeah, you know, I can see
it doing that.
Speaker 2 (04:43):
I can do almost all that coffee. Can't give that up,
but water.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
I cannot give coffee up. But I could cut coffee
out by a certain time in the morning and then
only drink water for the rest of the day while
dreaming about my coffee when I go to bed. Have
you ever had that thought?
Speaker 6 (04:57):
Likely you get rid of coffee, But I'm gonna have
to drink a coke and stay. I mean so that
defeats the purpose. I gotta have flavor every now and then.
Speaker 1 (05:04):
Yeah, yeah, yes, anyway, Wow, we are impressed, Susan, thank
you for sharing it with us. Keep it coming anytime,
Murphy Samon Jody dot Com.
Speaker 2 (05:12):
Coming up next, Jody has your Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 1 (05:14):
It's a scary movie coming at Christmas, and it's a
vampire you know.
Speaker 4 (05:19):
Trending now. Jody's Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
Brought to you by Total Wine and More.
Speaker 1 (05:23):
There is a scary and I mean really scary vampire movie.
These are not, you know, vampires that you want to date.
Twice super scary that's coming out Christmas. I'm thinking horror
movie at Christmas. But it's scary. It's going to seem
and feel a lot like Bram Stoker's Dracula, but scarier.
Bill scars Guard plays Count Dracula or Nosferatu.
Speaker 3 (05:48):
To me, I hear counting the umpire.
Speaker 1 (05:58):
Wait for it, that's Willem Dafoe. No, Bill Scarsguard is
Count Dracula or.
Speaker 3 (06:06):
Is he the clown from it?
Speaker 1 (06:08):
Or is he he's it? Okay, he's the clown from it.
He is not Alexander.
Speaker 3 (06:13):
Who is also a vampire.
Speaker 1 (06:14):
Yeah, in True Blood he sure was vampire.
Speaker 5 (06:17):
Eric.
Speaker 1 (06:17):
I'm getting distracted, guys, because I looked it up. Because
it's like if this. If he's playing Dracula, why are
we not calling him Dracula? Nos Faratu is this old
Romanian word that is used as a synonym for vampire. Vampire.
Speaker 2 (06:31):
Okay, and if you watch this.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
It's super It's more scary, but also very stylized like
bram Stoker's Dracula, which is so fantastic. Big cast here
the young lady Lily Rose Depp. Maybe you've heard of her,
yes nos Faratu in theater's Christmas.
Speaker 4 (06:48):
Coming up with Murphy Samon Jody.
Speaker 6 (06:50):
How to protect your dogs and maybe even the cats
on July fourth.
Speaker 1 (06:56):
How to protect your pets on the fourth of July.
And you know what I mean, what I worry about
Murphy for our pack is that we won't be home.
We're gonna be on vacation and our girls are baby sitting.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
They're watching so they won't be all alone.
Speaker 1 (07:11):
Well unless our girls go out for Fourth of July,
and forget that. The dogs will be scared because in
the neighborhood there will be fireworks. Likely. It doesn't mean
it's like a huge show, but it's random. Yeah, and
then when somebody gets them, let's just say you know
so and so your neighbor buys a pack of fireworks
on the third and can't wait. It starts early. It
usually lasts about three days. It's like, I got to
(07:34):
blow these up because I'm paid for them. I've heard Murphy.
I paid good money for these.
Speaker 5 (07:39):
I'm gonna use.
Speaker 1 (07:41):
Them up anyway. It's not it's been a long time ago,
but you did that. So but you know this is
near and dear to my heart because they most most animals,
dogs especially get very freaked out at fireworks. They get
just like just like all that, all the shaking. So
what can you do, they say, No, Number one, create
a special room in your home that is just for
(08:03):
them where they can hide and feel safe. Give them
a crate, give them heidy places, let them under the bed,
you know. And for that room, you could always not
sound proof it, but you could always be playing something calm.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
Yeah for them, classical music.
Speaker 1 (08:18):
Yeah, and crank that up a little bit. It'll help,
hopefully kind of drown it out. The other thing is
thundershirt or put your shirt. Don't you put your shirt
sam on on your dog, Gus.
Speaker 6 (08:29):
It's one of the kids shirts, okay, sotal fit Gus.
I put that on the fourth of July.
Speaker 1 (08:33):
And the end of the year, and does he does
it seem to help?
Speaker 3 (08:35):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (08:36):
He Actually it's funny because now when I get it out,
he goes, is the shirt?
Speaker 1 (08:40):
Yeah, oh he likes wearing it. That's what that means. Ye,
that's sweet baby. Okay. The other thing is if you
have a really serious you can tell that there's anxiety
going on in a pet, you could talk to your
vet now, like get a jump on it and get
some help, some medication help just for the one day. Yeah,
you know, I'm not talking about putting them on something forever.
(09:01):
You have a piece of advice that I came across
online that I don't understand or agree with, is that
leading up to in the days leading up to you
could sort of get them used to the sounds of it,
like play the sounds of fireworks or thunderstorms to get
them used to it. I'm thinking that that's not.
Speaker 3 (09:17):
Going to get them used to that.
Speaker 2 (09:18):
Total doesn't work.
Speaker 1 (09:20):
No, they would be anxious to Good luck. Coming up next.
Three things to Know Today.
Speaker 6 (09:28):
Three things to Know Today brought to you by doctor
Marty natures Blaine.
Speaker 1 (09:31):
Number one, the TSA broke screening records this past weekend
last Sunday, and it wasn't even a holiday, so they
screened just under three million passengers in one day on Sunday.
Because travel is just bonkers this summer.
Speaker 3 (09:48):
And I should get to the airport earlier.
Speaker 1 (09:50):
It's expected to be even bigger this coming weekend, right before,
you know, the big Fourth of July. Well, you're not
the only one. I know. Three million are expected for
the July fourth weekend, so be ready. Number two, there
is a Ford F one fifty recall, and I know
that there are millions of those trucks on the road,
so I wanted to let this info out. For twenty
(10:12):
fourteen f one fifties, you need to reach out to
the dealership or whatever because there's a transmission problem that
can suddenly downshift all the way to first, which is
of course not cool if you're on the freeway, and
they just need to change this censor, and so they
won't charge you for it, of course. For twenty fourteen
f one fifties, and number three, there's a Harvard study
(10:34):
that shows successful people share one common trait and it
has nothing to do with the kind of family you're
born into. It has nothing to do with making your
bed in the morning. You are flexible throughout your entire
work life, meaning you can embrace change, the meaning roll
with it, baby, for success.
Speaker 4 (10:53):
You're in the note three things to know Today.
Speaker 6 (10:57):
I just received an emergency finance a text from my
daughter Mattie.
Speaker 2 (11:02):
Oh, I'm yeah. This isn't a scam, is it?
Speaker 5 (11:05):
No?
Speaker 3 (11:05):
No? No, it is from her.
Speaker 2 (11:06):
Okay.
Speaker 6 (11:07):
Usually when I get these, it's from her Parker. They're
looking for ten bucks for taco bell or something real
quick until they get paid or.
Speaker 1 (11:14):
Yes, we're familiar with those.
Speaker 6 (11:16):
This is an emergency text. Okay, Dad, can you vendo
me sixty dollars for a pair of shoes? I'll pay
you back. I swear.
Speaker 3 (11:26):
See, I've never heard that one before, and I'm going
to get paid back.
Speaker 1 (11:29):
It sounds like, oh, it sounds like, well, not really
an emergency, but.
Speaker 6 (11:34):
Probably a Facebook marketplace emergency.
Speaker 5 (11:38):
Well do y'all get those? Not good?
Speaker 1 (11:42):
Shout out to Maddie for being specific with you and
for the throwing in us. I'll pay you back. Yeah,
I means she really wants it.
Speaker 5 (11:49):
Now.
Speaker 6 (11:49):
I probably would have said no, but it's like, I'll
pay you back, I swear. Okay, I'm going to give her.
I'm going to give her a chance to pay me back.
Speaker 2 (11:58):
Yeah, yeah, take a chance. You know, you never know
what's the worst it will happen. You'll be out sixty
bucks and she'll have a new pair of shoes.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
You're not going to mess with her and say, can
I see these shoes?
Speaker 6 (12:07):
I sent her a whole line of shoe emojis.
Speaker 2 (12:11):
You know, if Taylor, if he get into a jam,
I guess you know we do that. It's more with
like medical type stuff or whatever. But they those kinds
of things, their clothes, their shoes, that's there.
Speaker 1 (12:20):
Maybe Yeah, Yeah, although I think that they would hit
us up differently. Like if it was for shoes, they
would come to me because they know that I have
shoe empathy.
Speaker 3 (12:31):
If you value shoes more.
Speaker 1 (12:33):
But if they were having a car issue, it would
be Dad. It'd be because he'd be like, yes, absolutely,
we got to get those tires. You know, they just
they and they know, to their credit, they know how
to work you. Yeah, so you've venmote her already, didn't you.
Speaker 6 (12:48):
Yeah, Because it's it's an investment, and I hope to
see my return on my investment.
Speaker 1 (12:53):
I'm curious to see how quickly. She'll pay you back.
Speaker 3 (12:55):
Yeah, me too.
Speaker 2 (12:56):
If you got to charge a little interest, you know,
and it's oh wait, see.
Speaker 5 (12:59):
Now that's it.
Speaker 3 (13:00):
That's true.
Speaker 6 (13:00):
It's a lifeless it's a learning, a teaching moment.
Speaker 2 (13:03):
Right, would you.
Speaker 1 (13:04):
Charge our daughters an interest?
Speaker 2 (13:07):
It depends on how long they borrow the money for.
I don't know, you owe me sixty one dollars.
Speaker 4 (13:13):
Coming up with Murphy, Sam and Jody.
Speaker 2 (13:15):
Jody has three Things to Know Today, Coming up at
seven fifty.
Speaker 1 (13:18):
Coming up next, Sam has music News.
Speaker 6 (13:20):

Speaker 1 (14:09):
They could play for six hours straight.
Speaker 6 (14:11):
Yeah, because it's like Sizz is the headliner Sunday, but
I don't see her on here yet, So check the
check the BBC website. They're going to have the full
listing of who they will be showing live.
Speaker 1 (14:21):
You know why this is also awesome. It's not like
you can't find old YouTube videos of Glastonbury, but just
to it's it's you want to see what a festival
like that is like and you've never been. Yeah, check
it out. It's a fun mentally that.
Speaker 6 (14:34):
Yeah, here's a unique one. Will Smith's gonna drop a
new song on us this weekend Sunday at the BET Awards,
which will be on be et. He hasn't even put
a little hint or a snippet of the song out yet,
so I don't know what it's gonna be, don't know
how he's gonna be received.
Speaker 1 (14:51):
I'm wondering how he will be received with all the
controversy that has what he's dealt with in the last
year or two thanks to his actions.
Speaker 6 (14:59):
But we'll sometimes the artist separated from the person. Yeah,
Taraji p Henson is the host. Nice and Usher is
getting a lifetime achievement of War.
Speaker 1 (15:08):
Correct, he is.
Speaker 3 (15:10):
A little too late. Huh.
Speaker 6 (15:12):
That'll be on Sunday. Oh, it's kind of cool that
we have the class of twenty twenty five Hollywood Walk
of Fame for next year. Prints is on it.
Speaker 1 (15:24):
It is going to be purple.
Speaker 6 (15:25):
I'm surprised he never had a star already for Reck,
depeche Mode, Green Day, the Isley Brothers. Also Keith Urban
getting one.
Speaker 1 (15:34):
Yes, we need to be watching that ceremony.
Speaker 6 (15:37):
War is getting win and also taking you back to
the eighties the B fifty two.
Speaker 1 (15:43):
Well, that's fun. Something to look out for. Coming up
next to your Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 4 (15:53):
The latest Buzz Jody's Hollywood.
Speaker 6 (15:55):
Outsider, brought to you by Total Wine and More.
Speaker 1 (15:58):
You may have seen the headline yesterday about Matthew Perry
and multiple people possibly to be charged in his death.
So this investigation is nearing its end and that the
word is that multiple people could be charged. It's also
been ruled. Maybe you knew this already too, that his
(16:19):
ketamine od his overdose was determined to be accidental. But
who's looking into this? Police departments, the DEA, and even
the US Postal Inspector was involved.
Speaker 3 (16:30):
The people that helped get that drug to him, a
ketamine to him.
Speaker 1 (16:35):
Right, I mean, you don't get that on your own,
not for such a long period of time, And so
there are other people involved. And so an insider says, Look,
they they're looking into who supplied it, and the investigation
has led them to speak with an unnamed female celebrity
multiple times. Wow, that doesn't mean that that's it sounds bad.
(16:56):
Doesn't mean an unnamed female celebrity supplied it. It means
she was close to him and knew about his comings
and goings.
Speaker 6 (17:04):
And doesn't mean an unnamed female celebrity from friends.
Speaker 1 (17:08):
No, of course not. See, I didn't even think that.
US Attorney's office said they will ultimately decide whether charges
are pressed. But to me, if they're looking at multiple people,
there could be charges in the.
Speaker 4 (17:20):
Future coming up with Murphy, Sam and.
Speaker 5 (17:22):
Jody, what to do on a solo vacation?
Speaker 1 (17:25):
Your ideas on the way good ones? Sam you did
such a beautiful after the show podcasts with us the
other day about vacation coming up. You're going on another
solo trip. You're going to the Boston area.
Speaker 3 (17:37):
Yes, I am.
Speaker 1 (17:38):
And you said that you know you wanted to finally
in your life not over schedule.
Speaker 6 (17:44):
Yeah, because I'm a planner, and I tend to plan
every single minute of a vacation, and then a vacation's
over and it's like I didn't relax.
Speaker 2 (17:51):
And even when you don't have anybody tugging on you,
if you overschedule it, then you look up and it's done.
Speaker 1 (17:56):
I think a lot of us can relate to that.
We've been there. Regarding your so trip, Tony says, what
a place for a foodie, I am envious.
Speaker 6 (18:04):
Part of the reason I'm going there right is because
of the pizzas in New Haven and how I've never
heard of that before.
Speaker 2 (18:10):
Now I really didn't know. Of course, you're pizza guys,
you would know that, but I've never I didn't know it.
Speaker 1 (18:15):
The food do too.
Speaker 2 (18:16):
I didn't realize it was the epicenter of American pizza.
Speaker 1 (18:19):
Tamara says, Sam, Yes, Boston is a great city to visit.
My family and I had a list of places to see,
didn't get to all of them because we realized that
we just wanted to enjoy where we went, not rush
off to the next place, just like you enjoy your trip.
Can't wait to hear what a good time you've had,
Stephanie says, eat all the things. Okay, anyway, I can't
(18:42):
wait to hear about it. Since you are the food
dude that's coming from a nuts.
Speaker 6 (18:46):
You know what, I'm not a big fan of lobster rolls,
but it's like there, you got to try one and
lost country. Yeah, and some clam chowder.
Speaker 1 (18:54):
Let's go back to packing cubes. Speaking of summer travel,
Heather says, my best friend is obsessed with these too.
I got my daughter a set for Christmas. She thought
it was a waste of time and space until she
used them for spring break. Now she loves them. Then
she bought me a set. Ah, Heather, I feel you.
When I first unziped that bag, and the first time
I used them was recently, I thought this is added
(19:18):
work for me, But now it makes everything so much
more simple.
Speaker 6 (19:21):
I just said, that's that's my back, is my thinking
added work.
Speaker 3 (19:26):
It's not that when I'm already an organized person.
Speaker 1 (19:28):
I think if you use them once, you would understand
it's hard for us to describe.
Speaker 2 (19:32):
I bet I can put my under word faster in
the dresser than you can.
Speaker 1 (19:35):
Oh, Sandra says. I use these, especially when cruising. Once
I get to my cabin, I drop each cube and
a drawer, put the suitcase in the closet, and I'm
off to the pool. In minutes. That's there, you go.
Speaker 2 (19:47):
I'm so excited to be, you know, getting.
Speaker 6 (19:50):
To get organized, not looking forward to vacation.
Speaker 5 (19:52):
He just wants the cube.
Speaker 1 (19:53):
Keep it coming any time. You can send us your
messages on Facebook or Instagram.
Speaker 4 (19:57):
Up next, Jody's three things to Note Today. Here's three
things to.
Speaker 6 (20:03):
Know Today, brought to you by Doctor Marty Nature's Blend.
Speaker 1 (20:06):
Number one. The Empire State Building is the top attraction
in the world according to trip Advisor. It is Iconica
ranked number one traveler's choice. You know, once in a
Lifetime are some of the reviews like once in a
Lifetime gets written in tons of other.
Speaker 3 (20:22):
Reviews can go to the top.
Speaker 1 (20:24):
We did. It's there's so much history, it's beautiful, and
then you could there's no rushing, you could stay as
long as you want. Fantastic. Number two Hooter has closed
more than forty locations recently. Did you hear about this? Abruptly?
Forty four to be exact, in fourteen different states. Why
these locations were just underperforming? The statement from the company is,
(20:48):
you know, it's just market conditions. However, no, they're rolling
out frozen brand menu items. I know the food dude
told us all about that. So at least they're changing
with the changing times and their business. And number three
three Snoop Dog tried to break the record for the
two hundred meter dash laid bed. He wasn't really close,
I mean fifteen seconds off, but he said, look for
(21:10):
a fifty two year old, that's not bad.
Speaker 3 (21:12):
I was during the Olympic trial.
Speaker 1 (21:13):
He was hanging out with the US Olympic Track and
Field team during their trials over the weekend when he
ran with them. He's getting ready for his role as
guest commentator at the upcoming twenty twenty four Olympics in Paris.
Speaker 4 (21:25):
You're in the note three things to know today.
Speaker 1 (21:30):
You've been a couple for a very long time, and
you have children together and a family together. There is
the couple first, and then the children family roller coaster
and then you wake up one day and it's just
the two of you again, which is where Murphy and
I are.
Speaker 2 (21:44):
Yeah, how do you feel about that?
Speaker 1 (21:47):
Do you know how I feel about it?
Speaker 2 (21:48):
It's great.
Speaker 1 (21:49):
Actually, it's been very nice. And I will say this,
So we have our vacation coming up. I know you're
going on a solo Sam vacation again. So Murphy and
I are going on a just Murphy and I vacation
and it's bittersweet because of our girls not coming with us.
But here's the backstory. Here's what you don't know. Sam.
So in the months leading up in the spring, when
(22:09):
all this was we were leading up to this, all
we heard was that, you know, Taylor might be going
out of state yea, and what's going on in her life.
And then Phoebe was like, I'm going on two beach
vacations this summer, and wo we heard a lot of that,
and so we really did not think that that we
were going to do a family vacation this summer, the
(22:29):
four of us. It was not going to happen. So
Murphy and I decided to schedule something we've always wanted
to do, especially Murphy, and that is we're going to
do the Keys, the Florida Keys.
Speaker 2 (22:37):
Yeah, and you know it. Well, we still talked about
doing something with the family between Christmas and New Year's
on a smaller scale. But I feel a little bit
guilty about this.
Speaker 1 (22:47):
Well here's why. Here's why you feel guilty because every
time we've mentioned it to the girls, they're like, well,
y'all are going into And we finally had to just
say to one of them the other night, wait, we
kept hearing about all of your trips. How to finally
just say, look, we couldn't schedule with you because we
didn't think you were going to be available. Meanwhile, our
life carries on, and it reminds me of something that
(23:08):
I was told a long time ago, Murphy. We've all
heard this. When you are a couple and you have children,
you need to remember that you're still a couple. Before
they were all of you, there was just us. And
I think that's where we are and I'm not gonna I.
Speaker 2 (23:22):
Think it's really that's to make it a break at
point for some relationships, too empty nest and they go, ohs.
Speaker 1 (23:28):
Who are we now? And I don't think that we
have that issue, really, No, we have the working together
married issue. We don't have the kids versus us.
Speaker 2 (23:39):
But it's weird and it's a tough one to let
go of because again, it's just deep.
Speaker 1 (23:43):
It's always so fun. What's the four of us?
Speaker 2 (23:45):
Right? Yeah, you want it to be a family vacation.
Speaker 1 (23:47):
However, I am super duper looking forward to it, super duper.
Speaker 6 (23:52):
Meanwhile, the girls, Hey, Taylor and Phoebe, are you listening?
Speaker 1 (23:55):
They know, they know that there was us before them,
and I think they actually like battle.
Speaker 2 (24:00):
Bilby House, sitting watching dogs and playing a very important
role while we're gone.
Speaker 1 (24:04):
They don't want to hear that, but okay, we will
send post costs.
Speaker 5 (24:07):
We wish you were here.
Speaker 4 (24:10):
Coming up with Murphy Salmon, Jody.
Speaker 2 (24:12):
Jody has another Hollywood outsider.
Speaker 1 (24:13):
But next, Sam is the food dude.
Speaker 6 (24:15):
Let you know how Star Kissed is going to help
you out with Taco Tuesday.
Speaker 4 (24:20):
Sam's always up on the new eats. He's the food dude.
Speaker 1 (24:24):
Brought to you by t Mobile.
Speaker 3 (24:25):
Star kiss means what type of food?
Speaker 2 (24:28):
Yeah? Tuna?
Speaker 6 (24:29):
Right, well not anymore, sorry, Charlie. Yeah, Charlie the tuna.
Starkiss has these sick creations now called beef creations. They're
actually selling beef in a packet.
Speaker 1 (24:42):
I think they have salmon also, Sam, they have chicken,
and they have a couple others.
Speaker 6 (24:47):
It's the first time I've seen beeff. They have a
sloppy Joe, a sweet barbecue, and a taco style all
they're all ground meat and sauced inside.
Speaker 1 (24:56):
They're all cooked and you eat them hot or cold.
Speaker 6 (25:00):
I don't know how you eat these, but for Taco Tuesday,
you can just take it out the pack and put
it on a shell. You don't have to get all
the sauces and the meat and all that.
Speaker 1 (25:07):
It's ready to go. It seems like it would be
good camping food. Just send the little packs or bring
it to work lunch.
Speaker 3 (25:13):
You have to heat it up though, cold ground beef.
Speaker 2 (25:15):
Yeah, I'm sure that's probably what they would want you
to do.
Speaker 1 (25:18):
I hope you what you want with it.
Speaker 2 (25:19):
I guess you know my mom, that was the way
that she would make chicken salad with star kissed you know,
canned chicken. It was you know, she was a hard
working mom. She didn't have much time to do things.
Speaker 6 (25:28):
So there are a lot of great recipes with canned chicken.
I'm if you don't know it's canned when you put
it in exact right. Hey, speaking of chicken, Pilgrims has
got some new chicken nuggets for us, loaded chicken nuggets,
chicken pot pie and cheesy holapanos inside you bite into
a chicken pot pie or that's different.
Speaker 1 (25:50):
Chicken pot pie sounds delicious.
Speaker 2 (25:52):
Yeah, chicken pot pie bites. Yeah, talk about derailed me
from a diet plant.
Speaker 6 (25:57):
And they also have many nuggets now, different flavors as
buttery and original, not even like a little popcorn chicken.
There pills very toaster strewed all they are bringing back
for a limited time Mega icing. Now, if you don't
know what mega icing is, you know what the toaster
strewl is. You put them in the toaster, they come out,
you squeeze the icing on it.
Speaker 1 (26:14):
I never had had them until about a year or
two ago. When you brought one in, you.
Speaker 3 (26:18):
Ate one and didn't like them.
Speaker 1 (26:19):
It's okay.
Speaker 6 (26:20):
Yeah, Well they only give you enough icing to barely
cover it. And so they came out squeezing for deer life. Yeah,
they came out with mega icing so you could load
it up. And it's only a temporary thing. It's only
in the Strawberry and the straw Strawberry and cream cheese packets.
Speaker 1 (26:33):
So okay, you like mega icing, add more sugar.
Speaker 6 (26:36):
And Murphy just for you brought back at This is
one of those DUIs of flavors from Lays from twenty
thirteen that brought it.
Speaker 3 (26:43):
Back for this year. It's the cheesy garlic bread.
Speaker 4 (26:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (26:46):
I loved that one.
Speaker 1 (26:47):
Yeah, you must have beaten them all. Murph coming up
next to your Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 4 (26:55):
The latest buzz Jody's Hollywood.
Speaker 1 (26:58):
Outsider brought to you by Total Wine and got some
news about the Harry Potter series that is coming. It's
going to move from Max to HBO. I'm going to
get to what's the what I'm going to get to
that because I had to look into it because I
keep seeing this. So the Harry Potter series will be
on HBO, which is under the umbrella of Max. You
want to know the truth about it. Also, the it
(27:19):
prequel called Welcome to Darry moving from Max to HBO,
It's like, okay.
Speaker 4 (27:24):
Let's float too.
Speaker 1 (27:28):
Frantic, super scary. Yeah. Max is if you look it up,
the enhanced service that replaced HBO. Max is the streaming
home of HBO. But it also has all of its
other stuff.
Speaker 3 (27:40):
I don't know if you noticed.
Speaker 6 (27:40):
Back when you watch certain shows or series and Max,
it comes up HBO and it's like, wait, thought that
went away?
Speaker 3 (27:47):
Well, that's why.
Speaker 1 (27:48):
Somebody made a decision in a boardroom at HBO too.
Let's let's call it HBO Max. And then they changed
their minds, so let's just call it all Max. So
guess what the public to us, it's HBO Max. It
is for the longest time, long ago, it was HBO.
Speaker 3 (28:03):
Ah, I know is I know where the app is
on my rocust?
Speaker 1 (28:05):
Moving on for now, you do, moving on to Hulu,
bringing us a Barbara Walters documentary. Of course, she passed
away in twenty twenty two. She was the first female
host of Today's Show, first female anchor on Network News.
They're going to share a lot of archival footage and
even unaired work from Barbara Walters. Will get it sometime
next year. If you were in a bookstore, a used bookstore,
(28:31):
and you had the option of two of the same book,
one that had no one had ever touched or opened
or read, or you had the option of one that
had been well loved and annotated, in which one would
you pick.
Speaker 2 (28:44):
I'd picked the well, the well loved one, honestly.
Speaker 1 (28:46):
Okay, So they picked the one without the annotate, the
brand new Okay, Well, I mean.
Speaker 2 (28:51):
That's that's what I say, that backwards. That's what I meant,
not the one that written in that.
Speaker 1 (28:54):
Oh you're changing your answer based on In that case,
I'm going to go with the annotated version.
Speaker 2 (28:59):
I'd buy it if it has the person's name in
the front, but if it's marked with highlighters and all that,
that's what I meant to say. Then that's not what
I want.
Speaker 1 (29:06):
Okay, Well, let me clarify you both would want a
clean copy. No one's ever touched.
Speaker 2 (29:11):
Yes, yes, except a name is Okay.
Speaker 1 (29:14):
Here's what's up. You know, I love used books. I
like to buy. I love to buy a book for
two bucks and read it and then i'll even if
it's in good condition, sell it back or whatever. I'm
reading a book I've always wanted to read. It's highly
recommend It's called Prodigal Summer by Barbara Kingsolver. She's an
incredible author. I know you know her name. She is
so gifted with storytelling. And this one was written in
(29:36):
like two thousand and one. It's an old book, okay,
twenty years more than twenty years old, and the only
copy I could find of it was very well loved
and annotated in and I thought I didn't want to
read that, like somebody's writing in there, And now it's fantastic.
They definitely annotated in this book while in some sort
of class.
Speaker 6 (29:57):
Oh okay, so I'm learning more an expertise here, I am.
Speaker 2 (30:00):
I was wondering, because why would you annotate a fiction
book of fiction?
Speaker 1 (30:04):
You know, a lot of students have to.
Speaker 2 (30:06):
Well in a classroom setting. I get that, but if
you're a casual reader, you probably.
Speaker 1 (30:10):
Don't like there are these beautiful paragraphs where out to
the side it says foreshadowing, or it says here's the connection,
you know, And it's just I'm loving it so much.
With the annates, I already would love the novel anyway.
I'm really enjoying it. But I don't think I'm going
to give this one back, because you know, with a
favorite book, one that I really enjoy, I will read
it again one day and I'm keeping the annotated version.
Speaker 6 (30:33):
But you just said foreshadowing they wrote? Is that not
getting things away to you?
Speaker 1 (30:37):
I don't care. I don't care.
Speaker 2 (30:40):
It's more special to at some point, but I would
need that because I'm not. Part of the reason I
don't read fiction is that I don't really absorb it. Well, yeah,
I know that sounds stupid, but an annotation would help
me understand. Oh, that's what they mean.
Speaker 1 (30:53):
Maybe i'll loan it to you next Merph
