it's a saucy way to do it without all the

because I had a guy describe a sandwich to me
the other day that I read about that I've been
hungry forever since. We may want to add this actually
to the game day grub.

Have we ever made it?

No, we've never made it. It's extremely high in fat,
it's extremely bad for you, which of course means it's
probably gonna taste great. Yeah, but it's an Anthony Bourdin
five ingredient sandwich recipe.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
Whoa, and it's.

Done with mortadella. Do you know what mortadella is?
Speaker 2 (00:53):
You are the one that told me what this is.
Speaker 3 (00:55):
So mortadella is like upscale fancy baloney, but it's marbled,
and so it's higher fat, but it's a little more
silky and it's extremely flavorful. If you've ever had, you know,
mortidella winds up being a lot of Italian style sandwiches.
This is a grilled mortodella sandwich that just sounds over
the top. The five five ingredients mortadella. Anthony Boordain uses
(01:17):
provolone cheese. He discovered this one in Brazil. It used
some slightly different ingredients, but he uses provolone and then
recommends a sour dough or a kaiser roll to put
it on, Dijon mustard you can use regular if you
want to. Dijon is a notch up, and then whatever
mayo that you want. And the mortadella is really the
centerpiece of this, because you heat up your grill and

you put two small piles of mortadella, probably two to
three slices each in two different piles, and you start
to let that crisp a little bit around the edges,
not overcooked, but kind of the way you know any
meat would do in the skillet like that, and then
you put provolone on top of that and allow that
to melt while everything continues to crisp. Once that's done,
and you can tell by looking at it when it's

smarty and done a little bit bron Chris. You stack
it on the bread that you've already dressed with the
mayo and the dijon. Okay, well, I'm sorry, back up
a step. You have to actually take those guyser roles,
he says, and put it in that grease.

Of course, that's your secret.

You just removed the mortadella and the pan from and
then brown nose. Then you put your mayo Dijon and
those piles. It sounds off the charts. It sounds hard stopping.

It's not regular mustard, won't do You do need something
with that extra spark, and that's what Dijon offers.

We've had dogs that we've had around for weeks before
we just you know, decided on a name. Murphy, a
lot of times we would we rescue and the dog
knows their name, already had a shelter.

Know, have a pet that doesn't know its name, like
the Beard and Dragons, you know, you can take your
time and you can name them as a family. And
I bring it up because our oldest Taylor still working
out a doggy daycare and she sends us pictures all
the time, and she's always telling us about all the
dogs and she knows them all by name. You know,
she loves it when Bach is there. He's her one

of her favorite dogs, you know, things like that. And
that's a cute name for a dog, Bach, it's his name.
And so she was spitting out and I just want
to give you guys some ideas from doggy daycare of
the greatest names in these rooms.

the room. We told you about Axel. Axel's a big bulldog. Yeah,

have been chosen as emergency shelters. The NFL has worked

Stadium in Tampa. We're all chosen because they are close
to roadways, hospitals, and they're all compliant to become a shelter.

No, we've never made it. It's extremely high in fat,
it's extremely bad for you, which of course means it's
probably gonna taste great. Yeah, but it's an Anthony Bourdin
five ingredient sandwich recipe.

Whoa, and it's.
Speaker 3 (00:50):
Done with mortadella. Do you know what mortadella is?
Speaker 2 (00:53):
You are the one that told me what this is.
Speaker 3 (00:55):
So mortadella is like upscale fancy baloney, but it's marbled,
and so it's higher fat, but it's a little more
silky and it's extremely flavorful. If you've ever had, you know,
mortidella winds up being a lot of Italian style sandwiches.
This is a grilled mortodella sandwich that just sounds over
the top. The five five ingredients mortadella. Anthony Boordain uses
(01:17):
provolone cheese. He discovered this one in Brazil. It used
some slightly different ingredients, but he uses provolone and then
recommends a sour dough or a kaiser roll to put
it on, Dijon mustard you can use regular if you
want to. Dijon is a notch up, and then whatever
mayo that you want. And the mortadella is really the
centerpiece of this, because you heat up your grill and

you put two small piles of mortadella, probably two to
three slices each in two different piles, and you start
to let that crisp a little bit around the edges,
not overcooked, but kind of the way you know any
meat would do in the skillet like that, and then
you put provolone on top of that and allow that
to melt while everything continues to crisp. Once that's done,
and you can tell by looking at it when it's
(01:59):
smarty and done a little bit bron Chris. You stack
it on the bread that you've already dressed with the
mayo and the dijon. Okay, well, I'm sorry, back up
a step. You have to actually take those guyser roles,
he says, and put it in that grease.

Of course, that's your secret.
Speaker 3 (02:14):
You just removed the mortadella and the pan from and
then brown nose. Then you put your mayo Dijon and
those piles. It sounds off the charts. It sounds hard stopping.

It's not regular mustard, won't do You do need something
with that extra spark, and that's what Dijon offers.

she loves it when Bach is there. He's her one

of her favorite dogs, you know, things like that. And
that's a cute name for a dog, Bach, it's his name.

You know, they brought back the big giant cheese it
for the crunch rap. But here's what's really cool. They're
also offering an a la cartman. You you can order
the big cheese it by itself for just a dollar.

have Yellowstone, and then they have a new episode of
that show Tracker that they launched right after a Super
Bowl recent Yeah, so they're calling this season five b
you know, the second half of the final season and
the one that's not supposed to have Kevin Costner at all,
and we're not supposed to care.

last night, and it's as big and bad as it

a lot of flooding. And the advisory is to stay
out of the flood waters.

we're getting a brand new album from Nickelback. It's their
first ever live album called Nickelback Live from Nashville. They

recorded it during on their tour last year.

So okay, well that's cool. That's better than an album
called Nickelback sounds like all the rest.

Proof that you need to spend as much time as
you can, even that they're busy with your growing adult children.
When your children get older and you see them less
and less because life and they get busy. Maybe kids
don't even realize this, but I will find any excuse
to spend time with my kids, with Taylor and Phoebe now,

and I actually love it so much because you get
to see them begin to, you know, do their things
their own way and the little adulting things. But you
also realize they still need you in many ways. You
have these conversations. I have a couple of examples So Phoebe,
our youngest, she's had some car trouble re and I
had to pick her up and bring her to the
car place. And we were in the lobby in the

waiting room waiting for her car to be done the
other day, and we were just sitting there together and
just talking. And once we kind of finished one subject,
we got quiet and she was looking around the waiting room. Now,
you guys know what waiting rooms sometimes look like at
a auto repair place. You know what I'm saying.

Well, yeah, they usually have cool things in there, like
quicker state lamps, and there's tires, and there's like.
Speaker 4 (25:31):
A dozen magazines you judge Judy on the TV.
Speaker 1 (25:34):
Right, you know, Field and stream magazines and paneling, and
it's just the way it looks does not matter, and
you know there's not it's not designer, right.
Speaker 2 (25:47):
And everything got really quiet.

Very very clean.

So anyway, so Phoebe, we.

Got quiet for a second and she was looking around
and I didn't say anything. She said, you know, this
lobby could be cuter, said, but the coke machine is
a nice touch. And she just cracked me up with
that because I wasn't going to say anything about it.
But knowing her mind and me, you know, we're just
like that, like you could so spruce this up, but
it's not a girl's thing.

Anyway, the other thing that I'm doing with Taylor, who's
our oldest she is living at home now, anything to
spend time with her. And she came to me one
day a few weeks ago and says, Mom, I would
kind of like to know what this Game of Thrones
thing's all about.

And I'm like, I'll watch it with you again.
Speaker 3 (26:34):
Yeah. I thought I was, you know, free of the
medieval sounds coming from the family room. So now I
once again all I'm hearing is Okay.

I'm happy to report that she loves it because I
want her to love it.

I want to bond with her on this.

But Sam, I want to tell you, in the first
few episodes, she was like, Ned Stark is my favorite
character who and for all the Game of Thrones fans,
you'll know how precious that is.

social media ask you for money. In fact, Brad Pitt
has no social media accounts. If you see a Brad
Pitt account, it's somewhat it's a fan driven account or

it was scammers.

Never thought of that.

Brad Pitt has no real social media He doesn't want to,
he doesn't need to. But his people have released a
statement about these fake scams.

It's awful that scammers take advantage of fans strong connection
with celebrities. And this is an important reminder who not
respond and to unsolicited online outreach, especially from actors who
have met who have no social media presence. So it
is a big lesson for anybody careful who you think

kind of the vibe you get through the whole thing.
Even though she's a comedian and she's telling jokes.

they are, it must mean something serious, right, But check engine,
that's vague.

It's there, and I shouldn't have to guess from an

Is low, exactly. And you know, we shared part of
the trailer where she's talking about raising chickens. Now she's
got a whole good five or ten minutes on the chickens,
and it's just hilarious.

You know, chickens.

I bet that's funny because I kind of well, we
had chickens when I was a little girl.
Speaker 2 (29:50):
So yeahh I need to watch this.

Yeah. And she also talks about loving animals, all animals
in general, and helping animals out.
Speaker 6 (29:56):
I rescued a pigeon one time. I saw one legged
pigeon on the street near where I lived, and I
took it home. And I didn't know how to take
care of it. I mean, you know, never had a pigeon,
So I just threw gum and trash down jert, thinking
that's what it eats, you know, because I've never seen it.
Speaker 4 (30:15):
I don't know, no one just had me dying on
the floor.
Speaker 2 (30:17):
I mean, well, she also grew up in New Orleans.
Speaker 4 (30:20):
Yeah, and she does like a couple of minutes on
pigeons too, about how stupid they are.
Speaker 1 (30:24):
Does she really go there, like we were told about
kind of being kicked out of Hollywood and so she canceled.
Speaker 4 (30:29):
She goes there, but she doesn't get into specifics like
this person said this, and that's not true, and this
is not true. And she just talks about in general
about how you know, she how hard it is thought
she was a kind person, and they have been misconstrued.

Yeah.

The first I heard about it, I came across a
headline that said, how Ellen DeGeneres became the most hated
person in America. Now I didn't see the other names
on the ballot, but it's a horrible thing to say
about somebody. And to make it worse, there was no trophy,
no awards, banquet, nothing.

It's definitely definitely worth a watch.
