Speaker 1 (00:02):
Sam's Friday favorite.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
We're gonna have a little fun here to kick off Friday. Okay,
I found some more mashups for everybody online.

Speaker 3 (00:09):
You love these mashups?

Speaker 2 (00:10):
Oh yes, they are good.

Speaker 1 (00:12):
Back.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
First up, this is Donna Summer with a very special guest.

Speaker 3 (00:18):
You know the song hot Stuff.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
Yeah, it's hot Stuff, such a great song.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
All right, here's a singer, so it's Ozzy Osbourne. This works.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
Yeah, this is fabulous.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
Some of these people, they will just the pitch and
you can tell. But there are things that almost seem
to work.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
Well you have to know. Oh wait, yeah, you have
to know the music. And I don't know enough about
the composition of a song to know what would work. Yeah,
which Witch songs could blend, but they certainly do. Yeah,
how Ozzie feels.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
All I know how to do is find them on YouTube.
Here's a little hip hop fun for you. And this
one is going back a little ways too.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
Oh yeah, yes, and.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
Whoa buffalo?

Speaker 2 (01:12):
Yeah, never would have thought put that together.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
This is this needs to be dropping in the club.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
Get ready for the next one. This one. Every time
I hear it, I can't stop laughing. Brenda Lee taking
your getting ready for Christmas a little early here, okay,
but this this one is going to be so good.
Get ready for it.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
That's ad.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
Those are so different ends of the spectrum.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
That's funny.

Speaker 2 (01:56):
I know, Jody, you probably want a little Motley Cruz.
So we're gonna get some crew in here.

Speaker 3 (02:04):
We girls, girls.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
I'm ready.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
Oh, James Brown Brown that works.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
Yeah, these all work.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
And I know before we wrap things up, we got
to bring back the classic one with Ozzy and earth
Wind and Fire.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
Goodh See, the happiest ones are Ozzy. You know why
his voice is so special.

Speaker 3 (02:29):
Yeah, that's funny, man, These are good. That's fun Friday stuff, Sam,
Thank you. Jody's got three things to know coming up
at six fifty.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
Coming out next though, hearing from you about not only
your number of steps that you take daily, but your
watch and what it tells you about your body.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
Follow us on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
It is Grateful Friday. We're gonna get some grateful comments.
First though, Tracy just caught the tail end of a
convo on a podcast, your podcast about watches. The reason
and I like my Apple Watch, smart watches smart watch, right,
is what Tracy's saying. The reason I like my apple
is when I'm in a meeting, it's better to look
down at my watch rather than look at my phone. Also,

(03:11):
I got mine when I was working, giving thousands of
COVID shots each day and no time to look at
my phone. Oh, Tracy.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
Yeah, it took me a minute to get used to
smart watch again. But it makes a big difference because
in a meeting, if you look at your phone, actually,
I guess if you glance at your watch, you're also
signaling it's this thing over here, but you know, but
it's less intrusive than picking up your phone because people
are going to assume you're distracted.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
I think the trick, though, is to get it down
the quick look, as if looking at time. Because sometimes
if it's something important that Murphy gets, he looks at
his watch and he gets that serious look and he's
looking for thirty seconds, and I'm like, that's an email.
There's no way that you're studying detail time, but it's
twelve oh two.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
You can change. Yeah, well that's true. It takes me
a minute sometimes. Now, if you just you tweak your
note of a case so that it's really only the
really important things that get to your watch.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
I see don't forget the y on move too. I
don't even have it.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
I think you're being so clever with your distractions. Meanwhile,
everybody knows you're distracted, right beer, get syn this and
I didn't know it. Hey, I am, for one. I'm
thankful to wear an Apple Watch. Last year, my heartbeat
felt very off and the ECG function on my watch
caught an a FIB episode. Oh wow, I didn't know this.

(04:31):
I'm now on heart mads and get regular checkups.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
Okay, see that's good.

Speaker 1 (04:36):
You hear about you know, stories like that?

Speaker 2 (04:38):
All that?

Speaker 1 (04:39):
Yeah to me. I have a friend who loves to
track how well she slept and how many times she
woke up in the middle of the night and all
of that, and she has that every morning. I don't
think Hers is an Apple. I think Hers is an Android.
But still, well, you know, we.

Speaker 3 (04:52):
Talked about that before. I just don't sleep with mine.
But yeah, it can. It can find you know, apnea
type episodes. It does measure heartbeat, it measures steps. I
mean there's a ton of stuff.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
Yeah, I think the AVA thing has just recently received
an update from Apple. I'm not being even better at
like catching that. And you can like bring that to
your doctor supposedly. All right, keep it coming and we
love hearing from you. You can join us a lot
of ways also eight seven seven three one zero four
msj Coming.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
Up next, Jody has your Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
Jody's Hollywood Outsider, brought.

Speaker 3 (05:26):
To you by Loads.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
Rugrats is returning. I want everybody to know to the
big screen. Paramount is developing a live action CG hybrid feature.
So think of the main characters. They'll still be in
animated mode, but the rest of the world around them
will be real.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
Jelica is going to be there.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
Yes, are you so? Rug Rats They don't speak to me.
We didn't watch a bunch of rug Rats, Murphy and
I say that with our kids, and I didn't watch
it before either.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
Yeah, I watched it with Sammy and Will Right, I
don't know, I don't know who, but yeah, we used
to watch it a lot and you loved it. Oh yeah,
I enjoyed Rugrats.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
And it ran on Nickelodeon. It began in nineteen ninety
one and then ran for several seasons, and then in
the early two thousands there were movies, the Rugrats movie
rug Rats Paris, and.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
They had that weird one where they're all grown.

Speaker 1 (06:17):
Up, rugrats go wild right the wild Thornberry's all of that,
So it's getting new life. It means a lot to
a lot of people. If you grew up with it
as a kid, you're going to be first in line.
That one means nothing to me, Murphy. But if they
did a Bear in the Big Blue House, No, yeah,
I would be in the front.

Speaker 3 (06:34):
That would be a great reboot.

Speaker 1 (06:36):
I know. I don't understand what happened to it, because
a kid's show cannot go out of style. No, the
lessons are classic and timeless, aren't they.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
W Yeah, mister Rogers was on Forever Correct.

Speaker 3 (06:51):
Coming up next, Sam has music News.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
I'll let you know how Olivia Rodrigo is going to
take you along on her sold out Guts tour.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
Sam's got music News.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
Brought to you by All State Olivia Rodrigo in the
middle of it is sold out Guts tour right now.
Sold out means you can't get tickets. But Olivia to
the rescue here, she says. At the end of this month,
She's got a concert special. It's gonna be on Netflix
nice on October the twenty ninth. It is from the
Guts World Tour performance she did in LA back in August,
just a couple months ago, behind the scenes, looking you know,

(07:25):
on the stage performances. YadA, YadA, YadA. It's also gonna
include her opening acts, one of which is Chapel Roane.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
So that's very big.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
Get a bogo there on that.

Speaker 1 (07:34):
Very good.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
I got some extra dates added for two big concert
series that are coming up, the Eagles. They just keep
adding dates to the sphere in Vegas. Now they've added
four dates in February. One of those dates is Valentine's Day.
It's all I'm gonna say there, guys, pay attention.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
H cool.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
Tickets for those extra dates go on sale next Friday,
a week from today, and Oasis is adding more dates
to the US day. It's going to be the day
that they The only three US dates we had were
New Jersey, LA, and Chicago, so they've they've sold out
all of that stuff except Chicago. So they've added a
second date in New Jersey and a second date in LA.
Those tickets are on sale.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
Good day, what a comeback.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
I would love to go see that one. Yeah, I
would love to see that show. Well did Yeah, you
know what might as well, do it not getting any younger? Correct,
And you know, we have the Rock and Roll Hall
of Fame induction ceremony coming up in a couple of weeks,
and now the NFL is getting involved. They said, hey,
wait a second, we got a team in Cleveland, don't we. Yes, sometimes,

(08:37):
so well, we got a game that weekend. Cleveland Browns
are hosting the Cincinnati Bengals the same weekend.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
So they such a rivalry.

Speaker 2 (08:44):
Induction ceremonies on Saturday. So they're now calling the Sunday
game the next day the Hall of Fame Induction game,
the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Game. That's a
cool cool and I guess every year there's going to
be a.

Speaker 1 (08:55):
Clean that's a game that is one of those like
now those two.

Speaker 2 (09:00):
Here's the thing. They said, a lot of the folks
are going to be at the game from the ceremony. Yeah,
so I'm thinking, why don't we get one of them
to do the national anthem? And you know who would
do a great job. She's getting inducted this year now,
Dave Matthews, Ozzy. I don't think Ozzie should do to
the national anthem, but well.

Speaker 3 (09:20):
Unless she was lip Syncy.

Speaker 1 (09:22):
Yeah, well, she could do a great job. The question
is would she want to that. It's a lot of
pressure to get it right and you get one shot.

Speaker 2 (09:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
Well, and what she's eighty years old now, she doesn't
have to do it if she doesn't want.

Speaker 1 (09:33):
Absolutely not. Coming up next, Three Things to Know Today.
Three Things to Know Today.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
Brought to you by Verizon.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
Number one, the doc workers strike has been suspended as
of last night. They reached a tentative deal for a
new pay rate. They're going to get roughly fifty percent
more pay over the next six years. That's a good increase.
It's a temporary agreement. They're going to look at.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
It again in January.

Speaker 1 (10:00):
Make it to January, and of course union members have
to approve everything. The one thing not mentioned we don't
know anything about was their other The other thing that
they really were striking for was automation AI coming into
their lives and their job being No word on that.
Number two, Hurricane Helene. The numbers have reached a sad milestone.

(10:20):
It's the deadliest storm to hit the mainland of the
US since Hurricane Katrina. We've got at least two hundred
and fifty people have died due to this storm, and
it's likely going to it will continue those numbers to
go up because there are hundreds of people still missing.
More than half of those deaths were in North Carolina.

Speaker 2 (10:42):
Oh really?

Speaker 1 (10:42):
And number three, the LA District Attorney is going to
review evidence in the Menindez brothers case. They're opening it
back up. Oh, they don't think the trial was flawed.
But even Kim Kardashian kind involved and is advocating for
their release, saying they were condemned by the media before
they could be tried. So they're looking at maybe changing

(11:02):
the terms. And these men are now in their fifties.

Speaker 3 (11:05):
You're up to date.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
Three things to know today.

Speaker 2 (11:09):
Jody's top five entertainment stories of the week, brought.

Speaker 3 (11:12):
To you by t Mobile.

Speaker 1 (11:14):
Number five, John Wick is returning to theaters.

Speaker 2 (11:17):
I Lost Everything.

Speaker 1 (11:20):
That first movie is the only one returning, not the others,
not the sequels, in theaters again on November third and sixth,
for two nights only to celebrate the movie's tenth anniversary.

Speaker 2 (11:33):
As far as one is the best movie so.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
Well, A lot of people say, though in the world
of action movies, that it's just the best. Yeah, they
are the best movies in Yay Keanu. Number four, Shalen
Woodley is definitely making a Janis Joplin biopic. It's just
another word act for Shaleene Woodley. She's producing it, but
she's also starring in it as Janice. And apparently she's

(11:56):
learned that she can sing. She thought she could only
sing in the shower, and now she's learning on the
set that she can do it with the help of
songwriter Linda Perry. Linda Perry's on set advising her.

Speaker 3 (12:06):
Singing like Janice Joplin is tough, is very Usique vocals.

Speaker 1 (12:11):
But she said that this is going to be a
real and honest look at Janice's last days, so in
the days leading up to her death. Number three Travis Kelcey.
We got a peek at him as a game show
host this week because we got the trailer from Amazon
Prime of Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?

Speaker 2 (12:27):
Hello, everybody on Travis Kelcey and welcome to are You.

Speaker 1 (12:34):
So he gets good reviews here, but as a post
here's why they say. He really gets the crowd pumped up.
He sings, he even dances, and he explains everything that
by the way, on Amazon Prime October sixteenth, Number two.
This is sad big news though, that the doctor, one
of the doctors charged in connection with the death of

(12:55):
Matthew Perry, pled guilty this week to conspire to distribute ketamine.
This was in federal court. His sentencing will happen in April.
He's looking at ten years behind bars. At least he's
free on fifty thousand dollars bond. He had to surrender
his passport and his medical license. Before he was still practicing,

(13:16):
he just couldn't talk about it. He was still like
seeing patients, but now he cannot even see patients.

Speaker 3 (13:21):
Number one.

Speaker 1 (13:22):
Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix are at the box office
this weekend for Joker Too.

Speaker 2 (13:27):
I'm nobody. I haven't done anything with my life like
you have.

Speaker 1 (13:31):
On This is the follow up to Joker in twenty
nineteen that Joaquin won an Academy Award for. This is
a sequel. G God joins him and definitely has musical elements.
And the word is she helped him sing, although he's
been singing on screen for a long time.

Speaker 3 (13:47):
Uh oh yeah, like he did in the Johnny Cash but.

Speaker 1 (13:49):
I walked the line.

Speaker 3 (13:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (13:52):
Anyway, Joker Too is rated R and two hours and
eighteen minutes long.

Speaker 3 (13:56):
Jony's top five entertainment stories of the week coming up
next to It's Great Friday. Follow us on Instagram, Facebook.

Speaker 1 (14:04):
And YouTube. Love having you along there and on our
after the show podcast this week about loneliness and how
to deal with loneliness and not just the obvious things
of you know, make a connection, connect with your people
or just one person, you know, if you're really truly
feeling lonely, spend some time with someone that you feel
safe with, that you feel appreciated and seen and heard with.

(14:28):
But a lot of you know, comments about that. Terry,
I've been alone for a long time, but I'm not lonely.
I love that. Yeah, just because you're by yourself does
not mean you're lonely.

Speaker 3 (14:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (14:38):
I got to back that one up. Okay, Sam, Yeah,
I'm alone, but I'm not lonely.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
It's wonderful.

Speaker 2 (14:43):
Yeah, theraps like I've made a choice, That's what I am.

Speaker 3 (14:46):
I think that. Yeah, when we made that distinction, didn't
when we were talking about it, there's a different.

Speaker 1 (14:50):
People who are feeling actual loneliness.

Speaker 3 (14:52):
Being single and being lonely or that's not the same thing, right.

Speaker 1 (14:55):
This one's going to level you. Guys. You can be
in a relationship, you can be so people and feel lonely. Yeah,
because loneliness is about a lack of connection. It's not
about you know, one person or one hundred people.

Speaker 3 (15:10):
Right.

Speaker 1 (15:11):
Edgar said it's better to deal with loneliness than deal
with the wrong person. Yeah, I hear you in Phil,
you on that. Lindsay sent this in not just about
the podcast, but one of the shows this week. Great show.
I laughed so hard and Parker was cool.

Speaker 3 (15:26):
What a great kid, sam Son Parker came to visit.

Speaker 2 (15:29):
Yeah, he's laid back.

Speaker 1 (15:31):
He's fun and cool, and I haven't seen him since
he was a little kid. I've only ever heard stories.
I've only ever heard the legend of Parker since he
was little. Last time I saw him, he was.

Speaker 3 (15:40):
Yeah, we haven't seen him since then.

Speaker 2 (15:41):
One thing he told me after we were done is
that he since he's working now again and has money,
that means money gets spent. And he found a red
electric guitar with an AMP on the Facebook marketplace and
bought it. I asked him what kind of guitar it was.

Speaker 3 (15:57):
I read, Okay, that's okay, so play guitar.

Speaker 1 (16:01):
No.

Speaker 2 (16:02):
Uh well, whenever we used to go to a guitar
center because we'd go there a lot, Jackson would get
drum stuff, but Parker would pick up the guitars and
just start cling cling and play the keyboards and everything.
So it's like, hmmm, fantastic. So he's probably got a
little bug right now.

Speaker 1 (16:16):
Yeah, And whether it takes him somewhere or if he
plays it twice, it doesn't matter.

Speaker 2 (16:20):
Yeah, and he lives in a frat house, so it
really doesn't matter, do it.

Speaker 1 (16:23):
Oh, now, he just got on a level of fool
with the red guitar at a frat house. Keep it coming.
We love hearing from you on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.

Speaker 3 (16:31):
Coming up next, Jody has your Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 1 (16:35):
The latest Buzz Jody's Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
Brought to you by Lows.

Speaker 1 (16:39):
The Academy Awards. The Oscars need a host because Jimmy
Kimmel turned them down. Apparently a lot of people did so.
On their wish list co host this year, they would
like Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds. You know, they've had
a big year together with Deadpool and their chemistry is awesome.

Speaker 2 (16:57):
Oh yeah, you know how many people would watch if
those two.

Speaker 1 (17:00):
You and Ryan and Hugh Jackman has hosted the Tonys before.
We know he can sing ladies and Ryan Reynolds has
a beautiful voice. They could open with a musical number,
an original one. The word is it's the wish list.
They want them. They're knocking on their door. We have
no idea if they're even interested. Moving on, the Simone
Biles Rising Part two trailer has been released from Netflix.

(17:24):
I've worked twenty seven years for this. Since I am older,
my body is on a ticking time bomb, mat path
or something just pulled like all the way. That's footage
from Paris, the Paris Olympics. So remember this is a
four part docuseriies the first two parts, I think it
was a few months ago and I watched them as
soon as they landed. It was about her explaining all
the twisty things that happened to her in Tokyo and

(17:45):
then getting ready for Paris. So these last two episodes,
episodes three and four, are about her going to Paris
and being at Paris in those Olympics. So four part series.
You could watch the first two now in these last
two chapters. Dat you on Netflix Friday, October twenty.

Speaker 3 (18:02):
Fifth, coming up with Murphy Salm and Jody.

Speaker 2 (18:04):
There's something you can do every forty five minutes to
help you to improve your phone improve your focus.

Speaker 1 (18:10):
Yeah, something you can do every forty five minutes or
so during your work day, during a busy day that
would help improve your focus. Do you want to know it?

Speaker 3 (18:21):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (18:22):
Okay. I think this is important info because they did this,
especially with the whole you know, complications that we have
and different thoughts and feelings we have about kids and
their phones in schools. You know, they're allowed to have
When Taylor and Phoebe were in high school, they were
allowed to have their phones in their backpacks, but they
had to be turned off during class time, which we

(18:43):
thought fine, agreed what we did as parents. I know
that some people feel differently about it. Administration feels differently
about it. It's an issue, it's a thing. So the
University of Chicago did this test on students who had
been banned from their phones while at school, and they said, Okay,
you can have a technology break. You can have a
one minute technology break every forty five minutes or so,

(19:06):
and so they did and studied them for a while
and learned that they were able to focus better on
the school work, algebra, chemistry, whatever it was, knowing that
they could get to their phones for a little every
forty five minutes or so, they would you know, check
a little gossip or check messages from friends or whatever
they do social media, check in, and put it down

(19:28):
after a minute. So they got a technology break. Instead
of a recess to run outside, they got a technology break.

Speaker 3 (19:33):
Yeah, well that's interesting. So here's my question to you
on that. So let's take it out of the school environment,
put it in the work environment, and instead of it
being a phone, it's just a break. You're working for
forty five minutes and then you take a five minute
break to breathe, and then you get back to work.
It probably is more effective too. I don't know that
it has as much to do with the phone itself
as it does the break.

Speaker 1 (19:52):
Right, Yes, that's a good point, But I do think
for the students, the feeling, the knowing that in forty
five five minutes you're going to get to check Instagram
or check Snapchat or check instead of I gotta wait
till I get off out of school too. Y, Right,
So you focus on algebra for that thirty to forty
five minutes. To me, it's about social media or them

(20:13):
feeling disconnected for the whole day. Yeah, so maybe it's
you bringing it into the work conversation. And I know
I sort of said that to start. Yeah, I do
like the every forty five minutes. I'm a cheerleader for.

Speaker 3 (20:25):
That, for sure. I think anybody should be taking a
break because your brain just can't continue to go, go, go, go,
go go, right.

Speaker 2 (20:31):
Not combine those like take a break every forty five
minutes and take my phone with me.

Speaker 1 (20:36):
Yes, you can, of course, you can do whatever you
want you on your break.

Speaker 3 (20:40):
Coming up next, Jody has three things to Know Today.

Speaker 1 (20:45):
Here's three things to Know Today, brought to you by
Verizon Number one. Major retailers across the country are reporting
runs on toilet paper and paper towels and the wake
of the strike, the dock workers strike, which by the
way ended last night. Yeah and so and the other
news saying it again for those in the back eighty
five percent, And that's a lot of US paper, including

(21:07):
toilet paper and paper towels and napkins and facial tissue
supplied by US companies made in this country. So there's
no need for any panic fueled run on paper products.
You know, you don't want run out just because somebody
else panicked. Number two, the Hurricane Helen damage could lead
to an odd shortage and that's a shortage on IVY fluids.

(21:28):
Oh really Yeah, hospitals are taking steps now to conserve
IVY fluids because Baxter International says they're going to have
to close temporarily close their North Cove, North Carolina facility
because they're flooding because they were damaged. And Baxter provides
like sixty percent of the IVY fluids that go to
hospitals across this country, and so what they're having to

(21:48):
do is and they're going to ship some but just
not as much so across the country. You may see that.
It really affects everything. And number three, did you hear
that Eminem is going to be a grandpa? His daughter
Hayley announced that she's you know, having a baby, and
gen X can't believe it is about to be a grandpa.

(22:11):
By the way, he's made a come back lately. He
is fifty one years old. You're in the know. Three
things to know today when you live with someone, share
your life with someone, partner's spouse, whomever, kids, even you
can see a situation happening with them, and you can
choose to intervene or or choose to not, you know,

(22:31):
help someone out of a little little jam, you know.
And this happened with me and Murphy last night.

Speaker 2 (22:37):
I was remilling to choose to not help out, to
teach him a lesson or.

Speaker 1 (22:41):
Just no, no, no, no no. I know that's your moo sam.

Speaker 3 (22:45):
In life, I will teach this person, will.

Speaker 1 (22:48):
Do things or not do things to teach lessons. I'm
not doing that.

Speaker 3 (22:52):
That cup's going to sit there till the mold floats
out the top.

Speaker 2 (22:54):
I am not moving it.

Speaker 1 (22:56):
Yeah, no, not teach a lesson. I didn't want to
complicate the situation. So oh, we were all.

Speaker 3 (23:01):
Going to meet. Sometimes you try to help and you
only make things worse.

Speaker 1 (23:06):
Murphy left his he was leaving to go work out.
Taylor and I were going to meet to have dinner,
and Murphy was going to join us after his workout, right,
be like outside on the patio at this restaurant and whatnot.
So I am at the house getting ready, Murphy has
already left to go work out. I'm leaving, and I
noticed his phone on the on the kitchen counter, and
I'm like, oh, he needs that. He's going to realize

(23:29):
he doesn't have it, want to text me that he's
on the way and he can't find it. Blah blah blah.

Speaker 2 (23:33):
You didn't think let me call him and let him
know for a.

Speaker 1 (23:35):
Second out that let me text him? Well, yeah, So
I decided not to touch it, not to bring it
with me to the restaurant, although I guess I could have.

Speaker 3 (23:44):
You know, oh, that would have made it.

Speaker 1 (23:46):
That would have been bad, right because I thought it
through and I thought he's going to remember where it is.
He's going to come home for it. If he doesn't
find it, then he's going to search the whole house
and never meet us for dinner, right then, have.

Speaker 3 (23:58):
No ability to give you a call.

Speaker 1 (24:00):
I didn't touch it, but when I when I got
to the restaurant, I even checked why three sixty, I'm like, yeah,
still at home his phone. When I got to the restaurant,
I told Taylor she was meeting me there as well.
I'm like, hey, Dad, may or may not join because
we can't communicate with him, you know, he may or
may not show up. So we just didn't know. And
it was funny because after we ordered an appetizer, he

(24:22):
calls me, oh and guess what he said?

Speaker 3 (24:26):
My phone? Yeah, right, Look, it's a good thing you didn't,
because that's that's a perfect example of making a situation
worse by trying to help. I would have I would
have known. And it's so weird too, because I can't
use Life three sixty to find my phone because I
don't have my phone.

Speaker 1 (24:41):
You know.

Speaker 3 (24:42):
It's sort of like when the electricity is out and
you don't think and you go flip the switch, turn
the light on, but it's not gonna happen, And so
the only thing I wish that I had. I know.
You can do this like smart watches can have their
own little independent not phone number, but be tied to
your same cell service as your phone being used by itself. Yeah, yeah, exactly,
But they don't have that either, so that doesn't matter.

Speaker 1 (25:04):
Did you know exactly where you had left it or
did you have to search the house?

Speaker 3 (25:07):
No? I knew, I mean I did not know.

Speaker 1 (25:08):
What right?

Speaker 2 (25:09):
Did you make it to dinner?

Speaker 3 (25:10):
I made it to dinner?

Speaker 1 (25:11):
You did?

Speaker 3 (25:14):
If it's new and you can eat it. Sam's founding.
He's the food.

Speaker 1 (25:18):
Dude, brought to you by Chick fil A.

Speaker 2 (25:20):
Big news. We told you this couple of weeks ago.
It's now been confirmed by the little red haired lady
that being Wendy's not you, Jody. That's that Krabby Patty
is coming to Wendy's.

Speaker 1 (25:32):
But it's not crab meat. It's a hamburger. I just
need that clarified.

Speaker 2 (25:36):
I don't think of Krabby Patty on the cartoons a
crab meat. Well, I mean, he wouldn't serve crab meat.

Speaker 1 (25:42):
He's a crab, I know, and thank you for explaining
that to me. But in my whatever, my brain, if
we roll up at a restaurant and you see Krabby
Patty on the menu after you make a SpongeBob joke,
you're gonna think it's crab right exactly.

Speaker 3 (25:55):
I mean I get it. It's it's all the setting
of the show, right, Krabby Patty Sandwiches. But you know
Joe's crab You know they have seafood there. They probably
have a Krabby.

Speaker 1 (26:04):
Hey red lobster should Yeah?

Speaker 2 (26:06):

Speaker 3 (26:07):

have an extra piece of cheese and a special Krabby
Patty sauce. Top secret Krabby Krabby Patty sauce. Pineapple under
the Sea Frosty is a pineapple mango puree in a

(26:31):
frosty bring it, bring the mango. Yeah, So Burger Kink says, well, man,
they got that. Well, we got the Adams family and
that's cool. They're doing an Adams Family meal. There's a
Wednesday whopper which is on a purple bun. That's kind
of cool.

Speaker 3 (26:45):
That's cool.

Speaker 2 (26:46):
Gomez is Chuo fries, Mortishes, Coooky chocolate shake and things
rings which are the onion rings.

Speaker 1 (26:51):
That's cute. You know they're also doing that because the
McDonald's Happy Meals have the boo buckets right now. Yeah,
oh Runner October.

Speaker 2 (26:58):
Is there anything left for Halloween? Adam's family get them?

Speaker 1 (27:01):
Yea.

Speaker 2 (27:02):
By the way, that's acting out how it goes in
the boardroom. Yes, I got a metro fries or back
at Taco Bell for a limited time if you want
those excellent I forgot to mention this that it is
National Pizza Month. A lot of the folks that are
offering deals right now bogos or just discounts. California Pizza
Kitchen has two new pizzas, the Burnt Ends Barbecue Pizza,
which I bet is delicious. And I don't know why

(27:24):
they're putting this on the menu, but bacon and Brussels pizza.

Speaker 3 (27:27):
Hey, that sounds good.

Speaker 1 (27:29):
Actually, bacon works well in Brussels sprout.

Speaker 3 (27:31):
The saute or what do they call the Brussels sprout,
see the appetizers, those.

Speaker 1 (27:35):
Are Brussels sprout nasty?

Speaker 2 (27:36):
Well, no, I thought there.

Speaker 3 (27:37):
Was another term like a sawteate or a something. It's
just Brussels Sprout's yeah, really okay?

Speaker 2 (27:42):
And that today is National Cinnamon Roll Day. One dollar
mini bonds at cinnabon today.

Speaker 3 (27:48):
Thank you for food Dude.

Speaker 1 (27:51):
Trending Now Jody's Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 2 (27:53):
Brought to you by Low's.

Speaker 1 (27:55):
I mentioned again that this is a big weekend at
the box office because it's a big movie that's coming out.
It is a sequel Joker Foley Adeu starring Joaquin Phoenix
and Lady Gaga.

Speaker 2 (28:06):
I'm nobody. I haven't done anything with my life like
you have what?

Speaker 1 (28:12):
Okay? So Arthur Fleck is you know, in jail awaiting
his trial for his crimes as joker, dealing with a
dual identity, and then he stumbles upon true love and
also finds music that helps, you know, helps him.

Speaker 2 (28:28):
This is a musical it is.

Speaker 1 (28:29):
It has a big musical element. Reminder also that it's
rated R and it's two hours, eighteen minutes long. All right,
good news for you, Sam. You're gonna love this Saturday
Night Live in their fiftieth season. They've got some big
guest and musical guest as well. This weekend, the host
will be comic Nate Bergatzi. But Buddy wanted me to

(28:50):
watch his son. He watched my daughter one time, which
I learned is not a fair trade. I hand it
over a princess. He just throws a bobcat.

Speaker 2 (28:59):
Mah appearance last year was just like phenomenal, right.

Speaker 1 (29:04):
And so a lot of expectations for him. He's hosting
with musical guest cold Play. No and remember we're seeing
Michael chay and and weekend updates. It might be his
last time because there's word about him getting his own
late night show.

Speaker 3 (29:20):
Texter call us eight seven seven three one zero four M. S. J.

Speaker 1 (29:25):
Jump right in. It's Grateful Friday. We like hearing about
the things going on in your life, little and big
that you are grateful for. Certainly a lot of big
things to be grateful for, and those are the ones
we get the most. Chris sent this in. Hey everybody,
my three faves. Hey, Chris, this is a story. I'm
going to get to some grateful comments. This is a story.
We just added a new edition with pause to our

(29:45):
family haha, meaning a dog.

Speaker 3 (29:47):
Oh stop wait, oh no, no.

Speaker 1 (29:50):
No, a new family pet is what Chris means. We
were talking about dog names and ways to come up
with naming dogs. You said you had an ex who
had a cat named Kevin and you love them.

Speaker 2 (30:00):
Yeah, that's funny.

Speaker 1 (30:02):
Here, he said. As far as coming up with the name,
here's what we did. We let the dog pick her name.
We put three ideas on a separate piece of paper,
folded them and put a milk bone on top of
each name. Whichever milkbone she ate, that was her name.
She chose Olive, by the way.

Speaker 3 (30:20):
Ah, okay, that's cool.

Speaker 1 (30:22):
That's a cute idea for the kids to be involved
in that and the you know dog to pick their
own name.

Speaker 2 (30:26):
I'm just sinking that's funny if Chris kept the dog
to one bone or the dog ate all three.

Speaker 1 (30:31):
F Oh, no idea, but you can let us know, Chris. Okay.
Grateful Friday continues little things you're grateful for, Tammy says,
grateful for nature and my walks in the morning sun. Oh,
such a good way to start the day, you walk.
If you go walking early in the morning, you get
the symphony of birds singing. That's what's so cool. And
at night you get the bug sound. Yeah, yeah, they

(30:53):
sing too. Angela said, I'm grateful for my home, my health,
dirty dishes, my marriage, my husband and doggie. Sweet sweet
little list to be thankful for and sent this in
not ungrateful but another subject matter. Hey, listen to you
guys every day. Not sure if you noticed, but on
Facebook people are stockpiling toilet paper, paper towels because of

(31:15):
the of the dock workers on strike. People need to
know that this is not a repeat of COVID. All
of this stuff is going to be fine, but don't
If you hoard it, you'll raise prices. You know, prices
will go up.

Speaker 2 (31:29):
I'm not an expert, but isn't the toilet paper made
in the US.

Speaker 1 (31:33):
It is, that's what they're saying. That's the recommendation paper products,
even you know, milk, all that we consume here is
made here. So that's not going to be a problem.

Speaker 3 (31:41):
Yeah, I mean, I guess it could be distributed from
plants up and down major rivers and that sort of thing.

Speaker 1 (31:46):
That could be, so don't hoard it just yet. And
that's a word we're hearing a lot. Thank you, Ann.
