I bring it up because and man, shout out to Phoebe,
our youngest child, because over the years she learned to
hide her candy bucket from us. Smart she did, like
so after Halloween and then they would go back to
school the next day or whatnot. And I was in
the afternoon, right before picking the up up in carpool.
I would you know, check out their buckets? I mean
every parent does that. Heads up, kids, your parents check

up with some very old candy as she discovered in
the spring. Anyway, I bring it back up because when
Halloween candy is a part of the house, maybe it's
been in the house already, maybe it's only going to

be there tonight when you bring it in. If you
have pets, you have to be really careful because they're
not supposed to have candy.

Little dogs cannot have chocolate. Big dogs, no.

Dog, right, no dog can. Jody and I saw that
firsthand with our little long haired Chola that got into
some Christmas fudge a few years ago.

It's not a good story from a cautionary tale because
he survived.

That's a great story though, But you remember how fascist

would eat the paper too.

So my mom's stepson to her marriage passed away at
the age of sixteen in a motorcycle accident, and he
has always lived in the house. When my son was little,
he was upstairs in the hallway playing with his cars,
and he was talking to someone and Lise said, Jordan,

who are you talking to? And he said, oh, just
my friend Brian, and that was the boy's name that died.

We were asleep one.

Night in the bed and Brian was a very angry
spirit and all the bedroom doors started slamming, and I
thought my sister was doing it. So I was like, Heather,
quit slamming the doors. You're going to wake Jordan up.
My mom yacht upstairs, Debbie, who are you talking to?
And I said, Heather, she won't quit slaming the doors.
And my mom said, honey, Heather's at work. So Brian

was upstairs slamming the doors. And when they finally when
my mom finally moved out of the house, and years
later they tore the house down. My uncle was in
there checking things out, and a huge black mask followed
him up the stairs and when he realized it and
turned around, the black masks blew right back down the stairs. Ooh,

I've never experienced anything where there were slamming doors and.

put together with all of these stories that we've heard
is that whoever the person was in life, they're the
same sort of spirit.

I live in Kintilmat, Florida. Yeah, yeah, it's kind of
there's it's a haunted area where there were a lot
of Native Americans, and over the years, I've taken a
lot of pictures and videos and stuff of things moving
around our neighborhood. And we went to disney World in
twenty eighteen, and because I kind of turned this into a,
I guess, a part time hobby, I decided to try

to find something on the Haunted Mansion ride because I
kind of figured maybe there would be something there, and
my wife would seemed wow way the internet, thinking maybe
there would be something there, but there was nothing, but
when we got out on the main street right before
the fireworks, and I'd get this tingling sensation. That's the
only way I can explain it in my head, if
there's something like this paranormal. And I took a photo

and started looking at it later, and in the background
of the photo on the castle, I could see what
looked like the images of the Disney family. And I
took it to the city hall there and they looked
at it and said they've never seen anything like it,
and they have a copy of it.

Wow, like the Disney as in Walt Disney and his family.
Speaker 9 (12:41):
Yes, it's you have to see it to believe it.

fam ghosts in the afterlife, I'd be standing on top

It has Walt and just below him was his daughter
Diane looking up at him. And down below that is
Lilyan and she's a lot shorter. I didn't know this
but I kind of learned. I knew what Walt, Yeah

she pointed this out. I think that is what the

like fish out of water for her. You know, she's

was less than two years of my eighty three year life.
And she says they lacked color and context. She thought

Have a ghost story for you. I'm a nurse and
I work in long term care, and I worked at
a facility where the property had been donated by a
very famous family. I can't say the name, but I'll
call them the Smith family. On the property, the Smith
family's family plot was in the woods behind the facility,

maybe half a mile away. I was in the building
one night and at the nurses station. There were cameras
that showed the hallways, and I look in the south
hallway camera because I see movement, and there's a man
in a trench coat with a fedora. He came out
of the room on the front side of the building,
which was a woman's room, stood in the hallway, and

then moved into the room on the back side of
the hallway, which again was a woman's room. There was
a bed alarm because that resident tended to try to
get up and her alarm went off. So I ran
down there to see what was going on, and the
woman was sound asleep in bed. There was no movement
from anyone. There was no man, and it was probably

fifteen degrees colder than the entire rest of the building.

Oh weird.

And when I said something about it, everyone said, oh,
you saw mister Smith. He visits frequently. And sure enough,
over my five or six years that I worked there,
I saw mister Smith multiple times, and he always just
walked through the south end hallway checking things out, and

If the Los Angeles DA has any say in it.

decades for murdering their parents, and they've had all this
strong support recently say hey, they acted out of self

resentencing is scheduled for early December.

a VICTI I can't tell you how many times I've
been held up in my dreams victim.

And I hate that for you because sometimes that's when
you're having those ghosts sounds.

I'm trying to get away from things Yeah, it's so horrible.

Okay, Number five being trapped, Number four being lost, feeling lost.
Number three people dream of death. Number two being chased, Yeah,
is a common nightmare.

I had that one too, you know, and then kind
of go along with the crime thing.

The ghost ones.
Speaker 6 (23:25):
That's I'm usually chased by a ghost or chased by
some kind of demon, and I wind up trying to
fly off a cliff.

Oh that's horrible. Oh you fly off a cliff. Okay.

The number one thing that most people all report dreaming
of is falling. Falling, and they do say that one
reason that sleep experts who study this and spend their
lives studying this, they say that they also conclude that
as you fall start to fall asleep, your muscles relax
and your brain interprets that as a fall, and then
you start dreaming your brain working along with your body
(23:54):
and you're falling.

That's weird.
Speaker 4 (23:56):
The only times that I've had falling dreams. That always
wakes me up. Yeah, it's weird.

Women, they say, though, who are having a bad dream
are most likely to be dreaming about a loved one dying.
They report research like what was the worst roam you emotional, Well,
it's emotional. For men report the worst dreams they've ever had,
They're more likely to dream about technology fails.

Really, I mean that's a real life nightmare for me.

Something not working right.

Also, bugs crawling on you high on the list too,

ghost story. So we bought an older home built in
nineteen thirty five, and we moved in. We got settled.
I love to dangle my leg over the side of

the bed and swing it. The first night in the room,
something stopped my leg mid swing. I looked over the edge,
nothing there, so I didn't think anything of it, and
again dangled my leg over the edge again, and my
leg was stopped mid swing. It didn't frighten me, but
I didn't do it again. Then my friend came over

the next week and I made her try it, and
something stopped her leg too.

It did freak her out.
Speaker 2 (26:05):
We also have a black figure that stands in our
hallway and it freaks my husband out. He tells me
not to tell him when it's there, and he won't
even go to the bathroom at night if he sees him.

So what's stopping everyone's legs?

A ghost?

Okay? I mean I just didn't know, did you. I

were discussing this, the most common one among men and
women being falling.

I believe I didn't guess that because it seems purely logical.

That's okay. I wouldn't have guessed that. I was looking
at the actual list. Is how I knew the top three,
but following being the number one for men and women,
and the sleep experts saying it's because you whatever you uh,
your body starts to shut down and your brain thinks, oh,
you must be falling.

I do have dreams where I have them having to
go to the bathroom, and I when I wake up,
I actually have to go, So I'm assuming that that's
what I'm thinking.

My favorite is when there's music playing in the house
and it works its way into your dream.
Speaker 3 (29:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (29:37):
I love that.

Yeah, I take a nap with music playing and it
works its way into your dream.

So fascinating.

But what the reason I bring it back up is
because it's so interesting to me. Murphy, you don't enjoy
true crime. I'm glad that you don't, because I don't
want you to have ghost dreams, since whenever you have them,
it's a horrible sound.

Well you say ghost, it's a ghost sound I make,
but it's not really.

The dream itself is usually someone's chasing being chased.
Speaker 4 (30:05):
You know, somebody's plowing through a window trying to get
to me, or you know, yeah something.

So because of that, I don't want you to watch
the Zodiac Killer documentary with me or whatever. But I
can watch those things. In fact, I just you know,
wrapped up the Zodiac one.
Speaker 1 (30:20):
Like and go right to sleep.

On my walks lately, I've been listening to all kinds
of true crime and just letting it pick for me
and listen to all these horrible things.
Speaker 6 (30:31):
Are you while you're listening to those on your walk?
Are you always checking over your shoulder?
Speaker 2 (30:34):
I mean yeah, I mean yes, it makes you more alert,
and it kind of can put things into your mind.
Speaker 4 (30:41):
Yeah, I mean, I really do think what you wind
up doing an hour before bed is probably what you're
going to take to bed with you. So like watching
Game of Thrones, that's violent the only couple of times
I watched Game of Thrones with Jody. I did the
dreams wind up being prediculous? First I had trouble going
to sleep, and then I wound up you know, a
thousand years ago.

It wasn't a Kalisi dream, was it.
Speaker 4 (31:00):
I hope for those you know, despite you know, come
out the fire, Come out the fire. I mean, despite
you know, rewinding that over and over and then.

Pausing it, you know, all right, so in case you

Women more likely to dream about someone that they loved
and lost, if you know, considering a nightmare.

And then men tech failure

Ends with a candy bucket hopefully maybe it's a paper bag.
I mean we used to carry those in the country,
paper bag for our candy.

I see a lot of Walmart bags now.

Oh yeah. And then of course the pumpkins, the plastic pumpkins,
whatever you fill up your candy bucket with.

I want to say, I guess any kid that went
to get a happy meal in McDonald's has the boo bucket?

Who else was doing boo buckets? Duncan, duncan? They were
munchkin buckets. Oh that's fifty munchkins.

And then Wendy's was doing boo bags boo bags, right.

I bring it up because and man, shout out to Phoebe,
our youngest child, because over the years she learned to
hide her candy bucket from us. Smart she did, like
so after Halloween and then they would go back to
school the next day or whatnot. And I was in
the afternoon, right before picking the up up in carpool.
I would you know, check out their buckets? I mean
every parent does that. Heads up, kids, your parents check

out your buckets when you're not at home.

Well, parents should check out the buckets anyway, safety right.

Under the guise of safety.

Anyway, Phoebe would get to where she would hide hers,
I mean literally, and then one year she hid it
so well she forgot where it was and she ended
up with some very old candy as she discovered in
the spring. Anyway, I bring it back up because when
Halloween candy is a part of the house, maybe it's
been in the house already, maybe it's only going to

be there tonight when you bring it in. If you
have pets, you have to be really careful because they're
not supposed to have candy.

Little dogs cannot have chocolate. Big dogs, no.
Speaker 4 (01:46):
Dog, right, no dog can. Jody and I saw that
firsthand with our little long haired Chola that got into
some Christmas fudge a few years ago.

Actually, what's funny about that.

It's not a good story from a cautionary tale because
he survived.
Speaker 4 (02:00):
That's a great story though, But you remember how fascist
heart was raising, with how weird that was. He was
not in good I.

Didn't think he was going to make it to the vats.

But you know the I know he did. When our
girls were younger, they would do the candy sort on
the floor, compare everything, switch swap and all that kind
of stuff.

Case, you've got to be really careful of get pets.
I mean, I'm assuming cats can't have candy either, right,
and probably don't care.

No, cats are not supposed to have it either. It's
not good for their systems. And we had a cat
when I was growing up who loved Hershey kisses and
would eat the paper too.

Yeah, okay, probably ended up the vet with that one too.
Of course it lived.

He was lucky coming up at six point fifty. Jody

So my mom's stepson to her marriage passed away at
the age of sixteen in a motorcycle accident, and he
has always lived in the house. When my son was little,
he was upstairs in the hallway playing with his cars,
and he was talking to someone and Lise said, Jordan,

who are you talking to? And he said, oh, just
my friend Brian, and that was the boy's name that died.
Speaker 5 (03:26):
Well.

We were asleep one.
Speaker 7 (03:28):
Night in the bed and Brian was a very angry
spirit and all the bedroom doors started slamming, and I
thought my sister was doing it. So I was like, Heather,
quit slamming the doors. You're going to wake Jordan up.
My mom yacht upstairs, Debbie, who are you talking to?
And I said, Heather, she won't quit slaming the doors.
And my mom said, honey, Heather's at work. So Brian

was upstairs slamming the doors. And when they finally when
my mom finally moved out of the house, and years
later they tore the house down. My uncle was in
there checking things out, and a huge black mask followed
him up the stairs and when he realized it and
turned around, the black masks blew right back down the stairs. Ooh,

so it's for real, have a great day, Thank you,
my man.

I've never experienced anything where there were slamming doors and.

No, but just because we haven't experienced doesn't.

The thing about it is what we can kind of
put together with all of these stories that we've heard
is that whoever the person was in life, they're the
same sort of spirit.

Like Brian might have been angry in life.

Yeah, or you know.

And when it's children, it's children, it's ghost or spirits
that are playing.

all these stories that they've been rolling in all month,

of Native Americans, and over the years, I've taken a
lot of pictures and videos and stuff of things moving
around our neighborhood. And we went to disney World in
twenty eighteen, and because I kind of turned this into a,
I guess, a part time hobby, I decided to try
(12:02):
to find something on the Haunted Mansion ride because I
kind of figured maybe there would be something there, and
my wife would seemed wow way the internet, thinking maybe
there would be something there, but there was nothing, but
when we got out on the main street right before
the fireworks, and I'd get this tingling sensation. That's the
only way I can explain it in my head, if
there's something like this paranormal. And I took a photo
(12:24):
and started looking at it later, and in the background
of the photo on the castle, I could see what
looked like the images of the Disney family. And I
took it to the city hall there and they looked
at it and said they've never seen anything like it,
and they have a copy of it.
Speaker 4 (12:37):
Wow, like the Disney as in Walt Disney and his family.
Speaker 9 (12:41):
Yes, it's you have to see it to believe it.
If you want to see it, I'd be happy to

Well, guess what if you are Walt Disney and the
fam ghosts in the afterlife, I'd be standing on top
of the castle too, just watching everything, wouldn't you.

Well it was it was literally seconds before the fire
went off. Rushing to get the photo and h pretty amazing.
It has Walt and just below him was his daughter
Diane looking up at him. And down below that is
Lilyan and she's a lot shorter. I didn't know this
but I kind of learned. I knew what Walt, Yeah
he did.

called Martha, and it's about the life and career and
work of Martha Stewart. I'm strict, and I'm demanding, and
I'm all those good things that make a successful person.

That's a great trade for a man.

So the thing is it really goes there.

I always thought, you know, and I still believe that
it's true that really successful people are hard to work for.
And this is all about her life in her career.
One of the things that they note here is that
she was the original influencer.

Before social media.

She was you know, she was just everywhere and people
couldn't get enough of her. So the word is. It's
called Martha. You can watch it now, but she has,
of course criticized it. She's pretty disappointed in the focus
of it because apparently she said they focused too much
on her prison time.

Well that's part of it.

All know about her, Well, it's part of it, and
she pointed this out. I think that is what the
audience really wanted to know more of, because it was
like fish out of water for her. You know, she's
in her home telling you how to handle daisies, and
the next thing she's locked up. So she said this
was less than two years of my eighty three year life.
And she says they lacked color and context. She thought

it was produced a bit lazy. That's who she is, right,
everything has to be perfect with Martha. Anyway, it's streaming
on Netflix.

Have a ghost story for you. I'm a nurse and
I work in long term care, and I worked at
a facility where the property had been donated by a
very famous family. I can't say the name, but I'll
call them the Smith family. On the property, the Smith
family's family plot was in the woods behind the facility,
(18:50):
maybe half a mile away. I was in the building
one night and at the nurses station. There were cameras
that showed the hallways, and I look in the south
hallway camera because I see movement, and there's a man
in a trench coat with a fedora. He came out
of the room on the front side of the building,
which was a woman's room, stood in the hallway, and
(19:11):
then moved into the room on the back side of
the hallway, which again was a woman's room. There was
a bed alarm because that resident tended to try to
get up and her alarm went off. So I ran
down there to see what was going on, and the
woman was sound asleep in bed. There was no movement
from anyone. There was no man, and it was probably
(19:32):
fifteen degrees colder than the entire rest of the building.
Speaker 3 (19:35):
Oh weird.
Speaker 8 (19:36):
And when I said something about it, everyone said, oh,
you saw mister Smith. He visits frequently. And sure enough,
over my five or six years that I worked there,
I saw mister Smith multiple times, and he always just
walked through the south end hallway checking things out, and
then he'd be gone. Thanks guys, have a happy Halloween.

If the Los Angeles DA has any say in it.

Lyle and Eric Menindez have been in prison for three
decades for murdering their parents, and they've had all this
strong support recently say hey, they acted out of self
defense and they're serving life sentences without the possibility of parole.
But the DA has asked the governor to look at
this and grant them clemency. If he doesn't act, their
resentencing is scheduled for early December.

Number two, The World Series wrapped up last night.

number three, it's Halloween, So let's tell you about the

most haunted house in America, which is apparently the White House.
A lot of visitors and first ladies and even presidents
say they feel the presence of presidential ghost. The number
one being Abe Lincoln. He haunts the White House. Even
Winston Churchill said, Hey, I saw him once, he was
a visitor to the White House.

that men and women have are more likely to have

a VICTI I can't tell you how many times I've
been held up in my dreams victim.

And I hate that for you because sometimes that's when
you're having those ghosts sounds.

I'm trying to get away from things Yeah, it's so horrible.

Okay, Number five being trapped, Number four being lost, feeling lost.
Number three people dream of death. Number two being chased, Yeah,
is a common nightmare.
Speaker 4 (23:21):
I had that one too, you know, and then kind
of go along with the crime thing.
Speaker 3 (23:24):
The ghost ones.
Speaker 6 (23:25):
That's I'm usually chased by a ghost or chased by
some kind of demon, and I wind up trying to
fly off a cliff.
Speaker 1 (23:31):
Oh that's horrible. Oh you fly off a cliff. Okay.
Speaker 2 (23:34):
The number one thing that most people all report dreaming
of is falling. Falling, and they do say that one
reason that sleep experts who study this and spend their
lives studying this, they say that they also conclude that
as you fall start to fall asleep, your muscles relax
and your brain interprets that as a fall, and then
you start dreaming your brain working along with your body
(23:54):
and you're falling.
Speaker 3 (23:55):
That's weird.
Speaker 4 (23:56):
The only times that I've had falling dreams. That always
wakes me up. Yeah, it's weird.
Speaker 2 (24:04):
Women, they say, though, who are having a bad dream
are most likely to be dreaming about a loved one dying.
They report research like what was the worst roam you emotional, Well,
it's emotional. For men report the worst dreams they've ever had,
They're more likely to dream about technology fails.
Speaker 4 (24:22):
Really, I mean that's a real life nightmare for me.
Speaker 1 (24:27):
Something not working right.
Speaker 2 (24:29):
Also, bugs crawling on you high on the list too,
And when you're having bad dreams. I'll wrap with this.

Work, I get work my work dreams with my most
frequent dream.

ghost story. So we bought an older home built in
nineteen thirty five, and we moved in. We got settled.
I love to dangle my leg over the side of

the bed and swing it. The first night in the room,
something stopped my leg mid swing. I looked over the edge,
nothing there, so I didn't think anything of it, and
again dangled my leg over the edge again, and my
leg was stopped mid swing. It didn't frighten me, but
I didn't do it again. Then my friend came over
(25:59):
the next week and I made her try it, and
something stopped her leg too.
Speaker 1 (26:04):
It did freak her out.
Speaker 2 (26:05):
We also have a black figure that stands in our
hallway and it freaks my husband out. He tells me
not to tell him when it's there, and he won't
even go to the bathroom at night if he sees him.
Speaker 4 (26:17):
So what's stopping everyone's legs?
Speaker 1 (26:19):
A ghost?
Speaker 7 (26:20):
Mr?
Speaker 4 (26:20):
Okay? I mean I just didn't know, did you. I
didn't know if the problem was solved. I mean I
knew that it.

I mean, for a couple of weeks real life ghost
stories and Jackie, I just don't.

to me, if you're letting your leg hang off the bed,
you're kind of asking for it.

Nobody does that.

In fact, sticking your leg out from under the covers
is about cool It's about body temperature.

were discussing this, the most common one among men and
women being falling.

That's okay. I wouldn't have guessed that. I was looking
at the actual list. Is how I knew the top three,
but following being the number one for men and women,
and the sleep experts saying it's because you whatever you uh,
your body starts to shut down and your brain thinks, oh,
you must be falling.

I do have dreams where I have them having to
go to the bathroom, and I when I wake up,
I actually have to go, So I'm assuming that that's
what I'm thinking.

My favorite is when there's music playing in the house
and it works its way into your dream.
Speaker 3 (29:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (29:37):
I love that.

Yeah, I take a nap with music playing and it
works its way into your dream.

So fascinating.

But what the reason I bring it back up is
because it's so interesting to me. Murphy, you don't enjoy
true crime. I'm glad that you don't, because I don't
want you to have ghost dreams, since whenever you have them,
it's a horrible sound.

Well you say ghost, it's a ghost sound I make,
but it's not really.
Speaker 3 (30:02):
The dream itself is usually someone's chasing being chased.
Speaker 4 (30:05):
You know, somebody's plowing through a window trying to get
to me, or you know, yeah something.

So because of that, I don't want you to watch
the Zodiac Killer documentary with me or whatever. But I
can watch those things. In fact, I just you know,
wrapped up the Zodiac one.
Speaker 1 (30:20):
Like and go right to sleep.
Speaker 2 (30:22):
On my walks lately, I've been listening to all kinds
of true crime and just letting it pick for me
and listen to all these horrible things.
Speaker 6 (30:31):
Are you while you're listening to those on your walk?
Are you always checking over your shoulder?
Speaker 2 (30:34):
I mean yeah, I mean yes, it makes you more alert,
and it kind of can put things into your mind.
Speaker 4 (30:41):
Yeah, I mean, I really do think what you wind
up doing an hour before bed is probably what you're
going to take to bed with you. So like watching
Game of Thrones, that's violent the only couple of times
I watched Game of Thrones with Jody. I did the
dreams wind up being prediculous? First I had trouble going
to sleep, and then I wound up you know, a
thousand years ago.

It wasn't a Kalisi dream, was it.
Speaker 4 (31:00):
I hope for those you know, despite you know, come
out the fire, Come out the fire. I mean, despite
you know, rewinding that over and over and then.
