It's been very exciting. You know. We are a democratic
republic at the North Pole. Yeah, so that's the only
political poll I care about. Is the nod and the
elves have a very good union. You know, they be fits.
They can even I will even let them if they
want to get their ears done or something like that.

They did they pull anything like the long shoreman dire
this year?
Speaker 3 (01:14):
A No, they're the short shoremens, but they are they
did you know I I will say, Elvis, who you
know my elves and he did run against me.

He's a little little uh trying in those ways.

Well, he really enjoys eggnog a little too much, I
would say he. We used to grate nutmeg on our eggnog,
but nutmeg became very expensive to get up to the
North Pole, as you can imagine, so he started a

everyone up there the way.

like I do everyone, and Sam, I see that you
did some things around your birthday that were on your bucket.
I have a stocking list myself, but you have your

Yeah, bucket list. I step out of a perfectly good airplane, Yes,
I was for the first time. That was right. I
kind of got to feel what Santa feels like when
he's way up there in the air. Of course you
have a sleigh under you.

Well, but you know one year Donner had gastro and
testing rule problems and Sanda dropped like a rock.

Did you have a parachute?

I did not, but luckily I had my sack, Jody,
and I opened it up and lightly to the grould S.

Curious that you mentioned you have You don't have a
bucket list. You have a stocking list. What's not what's
like your stocking list?

Well, I would like to delegate on the twenty four.

Then, oh it's too gros Every year, yes, yes, everyone
in a while or something gets off of it. But
you know, people being people and time being time. It
comes back again and again. Mostly it's a bucket full

other and all of us acting like our best suits.

I like what they like whatever. It's just like the
gifts are custom made for every child. I feel a
sense of them when I get into the house and
I'm putting out their presents and it's my favorite thing
to do. And if they give me something that they
think is really special, then I feel how special that is.

I know there's nothing more incredible than a child on
Christmas Eve not waiting for you.

So it doesn't have to be something to eat necessarily,
any gift or whatever that they want to leave and.

but it's also full of loss at times, and you're
experiencing a difficult Christmas, what is your advice kids or adults.

Well, Christmas is really hard for people when they have
held on to traditions and people that they see all
the time, and for one reason or another they've lost
that tradition or they've lost those people, and Christmas can
be a painful reminder of that. Tonogss I would say,
you have to hold on to the good with gratitude

that you had, and you have to create no traditions,
traditions didn't drop.

Yes, So, whether it's going to a restaurant with people
you love, surrounding yourself with people who light up when
you walk in the room. There are a lot of
good things you can do to get out of the
Christmas slump if that's what you're feeling. But the biggest
thing is to start doing something new that makes you

feel good.

There's nothing There's no other time of the year that's
more steeped in tradition, no for us than Christmas, which
I think that's one reason. Is also about so much
about family and joy and all of that. Hopefully, Yeah,
but that's I think that's the reason that the absences
are felt. So the absence fills the.

Room, especially in the year of firsts.

At the Nono has been alive for a very, very
long time and has lost many people along the way.
But what I do is I hold their memories in
my heart and I continue going and continue celebrating Christmas

fueled by kids imagination and dream and that's what makes
the slay go and the reindeer fly and allows me
to have all that energy.

No, No, I take something called no zempic. It keeps
me very very jolly.

want for Christmas?

Oh? Sam, that's a good question. No one ever does
ask me that. I want all the wonderful treats and
things that kids leave me all over the world. That
is the joy of a gift to me. But also
I want everyone, as I always say, to be their
very best selves and be kind to each other. That's

what I want. And if we can do it for
a day, we can do it for more than a day.
So Christmas has a lot of meaning to me because
it's an example of what every day should be like.

Well it is up where I live, that's true. And

Yeah, Santa, I have a thought because you know you
you're always talking about how childlike things you know are
in the magine, the imagination and the magic of being
a child. But I was thinking about how important really
is to be like that as an adult too, right?
I mean, doesn't doesn't Christmas kind of make us feel
that way? Anyway? It brings us back to feeling our
own childhood again.

You know what Murphy would I think about? The North
Pole is surrounded by a Christmas tree forest, and all
saying you can't see the forest for the trees. People
have forgotten what that really means. It means that there's
a tree in front of you and you're wondering where
the forest is. Yes, joy in life is like that
you have a beautiful meal, but all you can think

about is how much it costs. You have beautiful people
all around you, but all you can think about is
how hard you're working to provide for them, and Christmas
really can be a time to worry about those things.
A lot of people are having trouble pure for gifts
and groceries and other things like that. But the key

is to try to focus on the joy that this
season provides, to be a kid again, to release your
cares for.
Speaker 1 (19:44):
Just a little why sometimes that it really is just
like playing like a kid. You know. I had that
over the summer, as Jody knows, getting on a jet ski.
Actually it was a sea doo whatever it yeah, and
it was fun. I hadn't played like that in a
long time.

Yes, you know, well I asked, I asked for a
snowdood last year. Unfortunately I asked one of the rein
deer and he missed.

Understood, Yeah, that's a different thing.

So what would your recommend recommendations be though? For an
adult who really needs to tap into that kid inside,
the child's heart inside.

They need to remember what makes them feel care free,
because that is the key to joy at Christmas.

Something to dig into, something to look for. You have
any what makes you feel care free?

You know, honestly, it's whenever I'm around my grandson Hollis,

testing rule problems and Sanda dropped like a rock.

I did not, but luckily I had my sack, Jody,

Curious that you mentioned you have You don't have a
bucket list. You have a stocking list. What's not what's

Well, I would like to delegate on the twenty four.

Then, oh it's too gros Every year, yes, yes, everyone
in a while or something gets off of it. But
you know, people being people and time being time. It

I like what they like whatever. It's just like the
gifts are custom made for every child. I feel a
sense of them when I get into the house and
I'm putting out their presents and it's my favorite thing
to do. And if they give me something that they
think is really special, then I feel how special that is.

I know there's nothing more incredible than a child on
Christmas Eve not waiting for you.

Christmas with loss, which life is full of wonderful, jolly love,
but it's also full of loss at times, and you're
experiencing a difficult Christmas, what is your advice kids or adults.
Speaker 3 (13:54):
Well, Christmas is really hard for people when they have
held on to traditions and people that they see all
the time, and for one reason or another they've lost
that tradition or they've lost those people, and Christmas can
be a painful reminder of that. Tonogss I would say,
you have to hold on to the good with gratitude
(14:16):
that you had, and you have to create no traditions,
traditions didn't drop.
Speaker 2 (14:21):

Yes, So, whether it's going to a restaurant with people
you love, surrounding yourself with people who light up when
you walk in the room. There are a lot of
good things you can do to get out of the
Christmas slump if that's what you're feeling. But the biggest
thing is to start doing something new that makes you

feel good.
Speaker 5 (14:45):
There's nothing There's no other time of the year that's
more steeped in tradition, no for us than Christmas, which
I think that's one reason. Is also about so much
about family and joy and all of that. Hopefully, Yeah,
but that's I think that's the reason that the absences
are felt. So the absence fills the.

Room, especially in the year of firsts.
Speaker 2 (15:04):
Yes, do you guys have have you had that? Sometimes? Yourself?

At the Nono has been alive for a very, very
long time and has lost many people along the way.
But what I do is I hold their memories in
my heart and I continue going and continue celebrating Christmas
in a joyful way for them for the memory.

fueled by kids imagination and dream and that's what makes
the slay go and the reindeer fly and allows me
to have all that energy.

No, No, I take something called no zempic. It keeps
me very very jolly.
Speaker 4 (17:20):
And yeah, you know, I'm sure no one has ever
asked you this. Maybe they have, But what do you
want for Christmas?
Speaker 3 (17:27):
Oh? Sam, that's a good question. No one ever does
ask me that. I want all the wonderful treats and
things that kids leave me all over the world. That
is the joy of a gift to me. But also
I want everyone, as I always say, to be their
very best selves and be kind to each other. That's

what I want. And if we can do it for
a day, we can do it for more than a day.
So Christmas has a lot of meaning to me because
it's an example of what every day should be like.

Well it is up where I live, that's true. And

Yeah, Santa, I have a thought because you know you
you're always talking about how childlike things you know are
in the magine, the imagination and the magic of being
a child. But I was thinking about how important really
is to be like that as an adult too, right?
I mean, doesn't doesn't Christmas kind of make us feel
that way? Anyway? It brings us back to feeling our
own childhood again.
Speaker 3 (18:54):
You know what Murphy would I think about? The North
Pole is surrounded by a Christmas tree forest, and all
saying you can't see the forest for the trees. People
have forgotten what that really means. It means that there's
a tree in front of you and you're wondering where
the forest is. Yes, joy in life is like that
you have a beautiful meal, but all you can think
(19:14):
about is how much it costs. You have beautiful people
all around you, but all you can think about is
how hard you're working to provide for them, and Christmas
really can be a time to worry about those things.
A lot of people are having trouble pure for gifts
and groceries and other things like that. But the key
(19:35):
is to try to focus on the joy that this
season provides, to be a kid again, to release your
cares for.
Speaker 1 (19:44):
Just a little why sometimes that it really is just
like playing like a kid. You know. I had that
over the summer, as Jody knows, getting on a jet ski.
Actually it was a sea doo whatever it yeah, and
it was fun. I hadn't played like that in a
long time.
Speaker 3 (19:59):
Yes, you know, well I asked, I asked for a
snowdood last year. Unfortunately I asked one of the rein
deer and he missed.
Speaker 1 (20:06):
Understood, Yeah, that's a different thing.
Speaker 5 (20:11):
So what would your recommend recommendations be though? For an
adult who really needs to tap into that kid inside,
the child's heart inside.
Speaker 3 (20:20):
They need to remember what makes them feel care free,
because that is the key to joy at Christmas.
Speaker 5 (20:29):
Something to dig into, something to look for. You have
any what makes you feel care free?

You know, honestly, it's whenever I'm around my grandson Hollis,
because it instantly I know. Jody likes to say I
