Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to the Murphy, Sam and Jody Daily Show podcast.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
Murphy, we need your help. I hope it's nice to
be needed. I need your help, and you've been so
busy lately. I did ask you, and then you weren't around,
and then I asked Sam a few minutes ago, and
he couldn't help me.
Speaker 1 (00:18):
So what is it.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
I have a necklace that's really tangled at the top,
and you're the master necklace untangler. I don't know how
you do it.
Speaker 3 (00:28):
You know what?
Speaker 1 (00:29):
That is one of actually my favorite superpowers, if you
want to call it that, because I do that for Jody.
I do it for a daughter's tailor and Phoebe.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
Even tiny little chains which Sam saw he was He
walked out with a tool and I gave him a
little paper clip. I'm like, yeah, not paper clip, safety pin.
I was like, use this.
Speaker 1 (00:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (00:47):
I came out with pointing those pliers and she gave
me a safety pin.
Speaker 2 (00:51):
It could help. Murphy will get this.
Speaker 3 (00:53):
I need to ask. Kind of didn't wind up like this,
do you know?
Speaker 1 (00:57):
Do you need to ask?
Speaker 2 (00:58):
I don't know. I took it off and probably slipped
it into a little bag or something. But I need
this one today right now.
Speaker 1 (01:06):
They're just so delicate, Jody, You know what I mean.
It's that I don't even know. I mean, for me,
something like this would break and fall off my neck
without me even realizing it. I know it's delicate, but
but yeah, it's it's you kind of have to finesse
it and let gravity do some of.
Speaker 2 (01:22):
The work for you, don't. I can't even you understand.
The knot is on top of itself. I can't tell
which part needs to be pulled and which can't.
Speaker 3 (01:29):
I can't think I taken it into a jewelry store. No,
but I do.
Speaker 2 (01:33):
That when I'm married to Murphy, and he can get
out any knot. He is the ultimate not getter outer.
Speaker 1 (01:40):
Yeah, it's so great, you know. I mean, although the
pressure of trying to do this.
Speaker 2 (01:44):
Well what I'm trying to pressure you, However, the reason
that I needed it yesterday.
Speaker 1 (01:51):
Yesterday, because oh, you don't need it now.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
I need it now.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
I'll put it.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
I needed it yesterday. I sold this one.
Speaker 3 (01:58):
I just get it.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
I'm supposed to ship it. I need to ship it today,
and I don't want to send it with a knot
in it. It's one that I don't wear anymore. It
was in the little baggie. So I decided to I
do that with my closet, with some of my things.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
I must you just sell it for does it matter? Curious?
Speaker 2 (02:16):
Forty dollars?
Speaker 3 (02:17):
Good deal.
Speaker 1 (02:19):
Well, I'm gonna tell you. Jody is onto something here.
A lot of this jewelry that she buys, she buys,
and she sells and she wear it, keeps funding her
jewelry purchases. That way, it's and buying on the used market.
It's a smart way to get really.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
Nice that will turn into a handbag for me in
a month or so, as soon as Murphy gets the
not out.
Speaker 1 (02:38):
Yeah, coming up at six point fifty, Jody has three
things to know today. And next, Sam is the food Dude.
Speaker 3 (02:43):
They got a new lunchable out, and this one looks
like an uncrustable.
Speaker 4 (02:49):
Sam's always up on the new eats. He's the food.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
Dude, brought to you by International Animal Rescue.
Speaker 3 (02:55):
We got a new lunchable to talk about because this
one kind of looks like an uncrustable. It's a peeb
and Jay lunchable. And instead of being round the breakfast
are the sandwiches or triangles.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
Okay, got the.
Speaker 3 (03:07):
Crimped edges, just like an uncrustable.
Speaker 2 (03:09):
But it's not an uncrustable. It's unlunchable. I'm sorry, not unlunchable.
It's lunchable's version.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
Can I have an unlunchable?
Speaker 2 (03:17):
It's okay, lunchable version.
Speaker 3 (03:19):
There's a little twist to it too. You don't have
to thaw these out. It even says it right there,
no thaw because inside it's only peanut butter. They give
you the little dip cup of grape jelly or strawberry jelly.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
Just like a lunchable that would have with its other.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
Stuff seconds ago.
Speaker 1 (03:37):
Yeah, I know that's cool. I love that I do.
And you know what if they're gonna do it with that, well,
I guess you couldn't do it with meat.
Speaker 2 (03:43):
Never mind, especially not for you, Murphy.
Speaker 3 (03:45):
That's called a hot pocket Murphy. While back we let
you know that Cheese It is going to be launching
frozen pizzas. These are frozen pizzas in the crust as
a cheese at flavor, not an actual cheese it but
she's at flavor in the frost. There are or they
are square well. They are now landing in grocery stores
all over the country. So if you see one, grab it,
(04:07):
We're gonna grab it. Pepperoni, Italian four cheese, and also
the cheddar Jack Supreme. Uh my, my favorite sounds like
that one because it's got pepperoni, sausage, green and red peppers, olives, onions,
cheddar and monterey jack.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
But it's cheese at Pizzas, not cheezaserve.
Speaker 3 (04:23):
No, there's no taco bell.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
You're right, pizzas whatever.
Speaker 3 (04:30):
They didn't ask us, how about cheese it pizza? Okay?
Two new kind of taco kits at Old El Paso
is selling a Beeria taco kit, which has the seasoning
that you just add your own meat to, obviously, and
then the breakfast taco kit, which it's got chili sauce,
green chili sauce, queso sauce, and six tortillas. It says
(04:52):
just add eggs. But I mean, that's not a breakfast taco.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
No, it's well, it's a start. They're they're giving you
a suggestion in a is what they're doing, because you
could do that already with everything else that you.
Speaker 3 (05:03):
Called breakfast taco helper And speaking of tacos or this
is actually a burrito genius idea, Bennie Hannah. They're now
selling hibachi burritos. Yeah, you get your protein and your
fried rice. It's all rowed up in a burrito. That
sounds like a great deal.
Speaker 1 (05:19):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
All right, coming up next to your Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 4 (05:24):
The Latest Buzz Jody's Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 1 (05:27):
Brought to you by Primate Team mist When it comes.
Speaker 2 (05:29):
To Hollywood, it's true, you can bring back almost anything
you would think it would be. Hey, that's too old.
Nobody's gonna know it or want it. But I want
to draw your attention to the nineteen ninety eight classic,
much loved witch's sort of movie starring Sandra Bullock and
Nicole Kidman called Practical Magic. If you never saw this,
(05:56):
now's the time you have to see it. I mean
to me, it was just this charming as Beetlejuice or
anything like that. It's these sisters the original film, and
they were raised by their odd, weird witch ants in
a very small town and they've dealt with a lot
of prejudice and difficulty because they're witches, and they had
a spell cast on them that kept them from finding
(06:17):
love and all this, and it's really cute. Soccer Channing
is in that movie.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
Oh this goes way back nineteen ninety eight.
Speaker 2 (06:24):
Oh wow movie. So anyway, Practical Magic two is happening.
We'll get it next year in theaters. And guess who's back,
Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman.
Speaker 3 (06:34):
Okay, you can.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
It's proof that you can almost. It doesn't matter how
old a franchise is. If there's interest, we get Remember
we're getting the Naked Gun reloaded or whatever in August.
Speaker 4 (06:45):
Coming up with Murphy Salmon, Jody something you may.
Speaker 1 (06:48):
Want to consider. Put it in your backyard if you
have a bird problem.
Speaker 2 (06:53):
Macy's for a mom. We'd love for you to win
one hundred and twenty five dollars for your mom to
spend at Macy's in any department she wants to even online,

Speaker 1 (07:08):
And if you're not following us on Facebook, at or
Instagram yet, and go ahead and do that so that
you can get signed up.
Speaker 3 (07:12):
Oh yeah, and if you're trying to search for it,
it's panned at the top, so easy to find.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
Jody had a pretty peaceful podcast the other day after
the show. After the show podcast where you were talking
about nature and how you know you when you go
on your walks, it's more of about health. It's really
you love to kind of soak in nature and it's
peaceful and fun.
Speaker 2 (07:28):
One of the reasons for walking. It's not all about exercise.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
And so one of the things you love most of
the owls. In case you missed that podcast, you can
go back and listen to it. But one of my
favorite owls is actually not a live owl. It's a
plastic owl. It's a decoy. Yeah, but what's crazy about this?
So here's how we use this plastic decoy you. Oh, yeah,
I have it, and it serves a great purpose and
(07:51):
it works. But my mother, when she was still alive,
she just loved it as a decoration. She didn't she
have like up in there living had.
Speaker 2 (08:01):
It in the living room on top of their TV cabinet,
and I remember walking in going, oh, those are the
owls that really most people put outside for a purpose.
But I knew better than to say anything my mom.
Speaker 1 (08:14):
I know if my mom wanted it to be decoration.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
Rock that boat. That's the boat you didn't rock.
Speaker 1 (08:18):
You can tell it's supposed to be outside. Because it
has a plug in the bottom, you know, to put
sand in the whatever to weigh it down. So anyway,
my parents have both passed on now, and we cleaned
the house so that the owl came to our house.
I asked Jody if she wanted the owl, and yeah,
I do so, but I did find you know, it's
sat outside for a long time. But I started having
issues with birds that were building in the gutter in
(08:39):
one corner of the house. I'm like, well, let me
just put the owl right here, and that's why you
did it. And yeah, that's why. So two things, two
things have happened. Now the birds did not build an
s there this year. It actually did work, and all
the dogs of Pete on it multiple times.
Speaker 2 (08:58):
On the ground and spark the owl is bigger than
our little Sparky, but he loves to raise his leg
on the owl right big man on campus.
Speaker 1 (09:06):
But you know, it's pretty you would think. I mean,
I never knew if the decoy would really work as
it actually works.
Speaker 2 (09:12):
Coming up next. Three things to Know Today.
Speaker 4 (09:17):
Three Things to Know Today.
Speaker 3 (09:18):
Brought to you by a State farm.
Speaker 2 (09:20):
Number one, For the first time in fifteen years, Disney
is opening a new theme Park. Oh where Disneyland Abu Dhabi.
It'll be the seventh global theme park they have and
the first one in the Middle East. So why all
the exects say it's right near one third of the
world's population. It's you know, over one hundred and twenty
(09:42):
million travelers passed through there Abu Dhabi and Dubai, so
why not have them stop in for some Mickey Mouse
and such. Number two Today is World Red Cross Day,
held annually on the birthday of the founder. It was
founded in eighteen twenty eight. By the way, now this
organization serves one hundred and eighty nine countries and territories.
(10:02):
Considered one of the most recognizable symbols of our time,
of our lives, Red Cross and.
Speaker 3 (10:07):
Usually the first ones on the ground are one of
the first ones on the ground for all disasters.
Speaker 2 (10:11):
Correct. Number three. The man who crashed into Jennifer Aniston's
gate while she was at home at her you know,
Beverly Hills home has been charged with felony, stalking and vandalism.
Apparently he had been stalking her for a long time,
sending messages unwanted social media and voicemails since two thousand
(10:32):
and three.
Speaker 3 (10:32):
Then they think they're married or something.
Speaker 2 (10:34):
He called her his bride in some of his post. Anyway,
she was at home when it happened. She's unharmed because
she has like a whole crew protecting her. He could
serve up to three years in prison if convicted.
Speaker 4 (10:45):
You're in the note three things to know today.
Speaker 2 (10:50):
You know there's a paper conclave live stream cam that
you can watch.
Speaker 1 (10:55):
Now even when they're voting in secret.
Speaker 2 (10:58):
Yeah they're voting.
Speaker 3 (10:58):
It's not outside.
Speaker 2 (10:59):
Oh yeah you're not. Yeah, they're sealed off. That's why
you get the smoke. That's what the smoke is for,
you know, the black smoke, meaning, hey, we voted, but
we didn't agree. You know, nobody, nobody got two thirds
of the vote, so back we go. But you're the
thing about this, this tradition, Yeah you don't know that too.
(11:21):
I'm just describing it pretty one. But here's what's up.
You think it sounds very you know, hit Sistine Chapel
and all of this, And you look at the the cam.
Uh and Sam had to show me. I'm like, what
am I looking for? And he showed me the pipe.
It's like it's just a shot of the pipe. So
once a day, you'll get smoke.
Speaker 3 (11:39):
Yeah, it's like a chimney pipe with a little cap on,
black pipes on the roof. I remember seeing that from
the lat when they like to Francis. Yeah, it was
like you'd see a little smoke start to come out
and people would start cheering because it's white. Oh wait, wait, no,
it's it's black. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (11:54):
Yeah. But the rest of the time it's just there.
You'll see a bird fly by or whatnot.
Speaker 1 (11:59):
Yeah, and you hope it's money. Doesn't make the mistake
of just throwing something in there to get warm, you
know what I mean, warm their hands is like, wait,
you're not supposed to be burning anything right now.
Speaker 2 (12:06):
These cardinals and bishops know what they're doing. By the way,
they were all chosen by Pope Frances guys to be voting. Sorry, yeah,
you can watch that anyway, right.
Speaker 3 (12:16):
Jody showed me that and I was like, oh, well,
that's cool because I just saw this week that you
can live stream the Earth from space. The International Space
Station has a high death camera on it. Okay, point
it at Earth twenty four to seven really, so if
you if you look it up, it's on the NASA website.
You can find the link NASA dot Gov two hundred
and fifty miles above the planet, and it's just you know,
it's moving based on where the space station is at
(12:38):
any point in time.
Speaker 1 (12:40):
Does it zoom in on anything.
Speaker 3 (12:41):
No, it does, It does nothing.
Speaker 2 (12:42):
The same.
Speaker 3 (12:45):
To be flying over us, you could look and say, oh,
look there we are. Okay.
Speaker 2 (12:49):
So you just check it periodically.
Speaker 3 (12:51):
Yeah, and it doesn't work twenty four to seven because
of blackout times and they change different feed systems at NASA,
so there is a little I'm.
Speaker 2 (12:59):
Sure there's some people thing that's so spoked.
Speaker 3 (13:04):
That's right. I forgot the moon, right.
Speaker 2 (13:08):
I didn't say that. I'm just saying any pause in
a cam. I sometimes just for kicks, watch the rattlesnake cam.
There's one in undisclosed location and it's like hundreds of
snakes and mamas and their shedding and then they're having babies.
And it stops for fifteen minutes a day. I don't
know why. It must be a technical thing.
Speaker 1 (13:27):
Probably take it out to recharge it and put it
back in.
Speaker 2 (13:29):
Man, there you go.
Speaker 3 (13:30):
Can I rewind the tape? Coming up?
Speaker 1 (13:33):
But seven fifty Jody has three things to know today?
Speaker 2 (13:36):
Coming up next though, the joy of rebinging a very
old fave TV show. One of the coolest things about
having an old show. And I say old, I don't
mean decades old, but an old show that you can
get on streaming that you're rewatching or rebinging. And I'm
experiencing it now. And if you've had this, I do
(13:56):
want to hear from you about it. And I asked
our youngest am I so, our oldest Taylor to come
in the room with me the other day, Murphy and
see if she could figure it out. So I'm rebinging
Gray's Anatomy Number one because I like having something to watch.
And there's twenty seasons, and I think I only saw
four or five seasons back in the day when it
first started, and then life got busy. We had two
(14:18):
small children. I couldn't be watching TV.
Speaker 1 (14:21):
So for twenty years, does anything look out a date
on the show to you?
Speaker 2 (14:25):
No, no, yet, I haven't thought of that.
Speaker 3 (14:28):
But they updated the facilities at the hospital. It just
seems in twenty years, you know, you'd get the latest tech.
Speaker 2 (14:34):
I'm in the very beginning still. I'm actually watching stuff
that I sort of remember, so I remember some of
season four, but it's where I kind of fell off.
But there was a doctor introduced. Her name in the
show is doctor Han.
Speaker 4 (14:47):
He has kids, they're four and five. Do you know
how long he's been waiting for this?
Speaker 3 (14:52):
He's a good person.
Speaker 2 (14:53):
I remember the first time, the first episode she was
in back in the first time I watched it, Murphy,
I was like, oh, you know who that is? And
every time she comes on, she's somebody else to me
from a movie from the nineties. And so I called Taylor.
I know Taylor knows this movie and loves this movie.
And I called Taylor and I said, come watch this and
tell me where do you know her from? And she
got confused. She was assuming because I asked her. She
(15:16):
thought it was a Game of Thrones person. I'm like, no, no, no, no.
So the girl who the lady who plays doctor Han
in Grey's Anatomy in those early seasons. You also know
her from this iconic scary movie from the nineties.
Speaker 4 (15:31):
Mister, my family will pay cash.
Speaker 2 (15:32):
Whatever ransom you're asking for, they'll pay it.
Speaker 3 (15:36):
Oh it rubs the motion on its skin or else
it gets the hose again.
Speaker 2 (15:42):
Girl who was kidnapped in Silence of the Lambs and
in the well. Wow, And I knew that from the
first moment I saw her. But it's so crazy. And
this happens when you watch an old show. You see
people who are they're not. They've made it yet to
where you know them as a household name yet, but
you see them pop up. The girl who played Peggy
(16:02):
and mad Men was also a patient in an episode
a few days ago.
Speaker 1 (16:09):
Peggy.
Speaker 2 (16:11):
Yeah, so dumb but so real.
Speaker 3 (16:13):
All right?
Speaker 2 (16:14):
Coming up next to your Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 4 (16:18):
The latest Buns Jody's Hollywood.
Speaker 3 (16:21):
Outsider, brought to you by Private Miss Well.
Speaker 2 (16:23):
The Dutton family saga looks like it's going to continue.
We're going to get another sequel or spin off show.
Speaker 3 (16:30):
From besides The Rip Rippin' Beth one, which is tentatively
titled Dutton Ranch.
Speaker 2 (16:36):
That one's coming, in fact, rumored to be on Paramount
Plus by the end of this year, meaning keep them
there and keep filming.
Speaker 1 (16:42):
Yay.
Speaker 2 (16:44):
But there's another show coming called Why Like the Big Yellowstone,
Why Marshals, which will follow the character Casey Dutton as
he joins the elite US Marshall's unit. This is Luke
Grimes reprising his role and it looks like it's gonna
jump in the middle of Sunday Nights mid season at CBS.
(17:05):
SO CBS and Paramount having that relationship. So, I mean
the Yellowstone World until we all as consumers have had
enough of it. It's coming.
Speaker 3 (17:15):
That's like five or six shows.
Speaker 2 (17:16):
There, and some of them are not in the Yellowstone universe.
This one is all right. Moving on to an older
movie that had a lot of love. Ten Things I
Hate about You.
Speaker 4 (17:25):
I hate the way You're always right.
Speaker 2 (17:27):
I hate it when you lie Julius Styles and Heath Ledger.
It's being reworked now by the original writer as a
trilogy of three films, Ten Things I Hate About Dating,
Ten Things I Hate About Marriage, and Ten Things I
Hate About Kids. And Heath Ledger has passed on, of course,
but Julia Styles is welcome to be a part of it.
Speaker 3 (17:46):
If she wants coming up next to me, you're going
to hear from you.
Speaker 2 (17:49):
Yeah, some questions Sam about your mom's bridesmaid's dress for
the weekend that's
Speaker 1 (17:54):
Coming up In part two of today's Murphy Salmon Jody Podcast,
