Speaker 1 (00:56):
Oh, you can always do claws with a dollar sign.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
A like. That's my note. My album drops on the
twenty fourth and it's going to be Santa Rap.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
Yeah, yes, okay, seriously, how is missus Claws?

Speaker 2 (01:12):
She is wonderful. She's the most perfect wife I could
ever have imagined.

Speaker 4 (01:16):
That felt journey.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
Yes, I know it's nice. I mean, having a good
relationship is a really really great gift. When you've got
an operation to run like mine, or when you're trying
to be on radio show, an.

Speaker 1 (01:28):
Operation to run like this is in charge, baby.

Speaker 4 (01:33):
And that's not one hundred percent through. Don't do that.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
Don't do that.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
Okay, So how about all the elves and are you
bringing ELFs this time?

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (01:41):
In fact elf in the battle Elvish. I told him
about how the elves are doing this year.

Speaker 4 (01:49):
Everybody's our colt.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
We're living in a lot of elves from other souls
to runk on the technologs and stuff. You know. Sometimes
it's a little bit of a language. Bow.

Speaker 4 (02:01):
This is Santa easy to work for.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
It's a good boss.

Speaker 5 (02:04):
It's a good boss.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
I gotta tell you. It's a heck of a party.

Speaker 4 (02:07):
He gives us good benefits.

Speaker 5 (02:09):
You see my teeth thirty.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
Yeah, are white tears. It needs I got dental.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
I got full medical. I mean you know, my bones
are very tiny. It's a specialist.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
To work on.

Speaker 5 (02:21):
Yes, okay, office, I need to know are you and
the guys gonna have everything done in time for Christmas?
Or you're all gonna come up short?

Speaker 3 (02:28):
Give me way to going.

Speaker 5 (02:35):
Don't be fooled by the curly films at the end
of my shoes.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
Come sit by me.

Speaker 4 (02:39):
It's okay, Santa.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
You may want to defend elsa.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Hoof is sit down, Peace on Earth, good will towards
some more.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
Santa and Elphis coming up next.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
And you know what, Santa is here and kids, It's okay.
Can you miss any of it? Life is busy this
time of the year. You can download the Murphy, Him
and Jody podcast. Sign up on iTunes. Santa, he was
here this past Wednesday. We'll be here every Friday during December,
which is awesome. So we don't want you to miss
a minute with Santa. And We're glad you're here.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
I'm glad to be here always. You all are looking great.

Speaker 5 (03:14):
Thank you, Thank you yourself.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
You always look so warm and jolly.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
Well. I have the formal suit on today, I know.
Thank you for that try on well, I had to
get it fitted every year. You know, I gamed about
half a pound.

Speaker 4 (03:28):
Oh, I couldn't sell them cheat.

Speaker 5 (03:31):
Days of course, you know what what do you eat
for cheat days?

Speaker 2 (03:35):
I eat healthy. I eat raw vegetables and carrots, and
the rest of the days I eat cookies.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
And I want the Santa Plan Yeah, I'm Santa. You
know Santa Sam does like you do the Naughty Ice List.
He picks out different celebrities and has questions for you. Yeah,
and a few of those, we'll sure. Let's go Taylor Swift. Oh,
she's had a year this year, you know, losing what
one boyfriend?

Speaker 5 (03:59):
She lost too.

Speaker 4 (04:00):
There's so much more about her. Why do you go there?

Speaker 5 (04:02):
I don't know. I'm just asking. I'm just giving Santa
some she wrote a hundred songs background.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
Well, I you know, I think Taylor Swift's on the
Nice List, and I wish I could bring her somebody
who stick around for a while and give us some stability.

Speaker 4 (04:17):
They're intimidated. Well, you know, we're for Taylor.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
But that's her best song material, is what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
I hope she doesn't blame Santa for those breakups, so
she'll end up writing a song about me.

Speaker 5 (04:29):
They got a new show out right now, Snoop Dogg
and Martha Martha Stewart, a cooking show. Believe it or not,
is how do they rate on the list?

Speaker 2 (04:36):
I saw one episode of that really nothing personal to them,
but I think that show rates a naughty.

Speaker 4 (04:45):
I don't know that they go to gather.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
That is the strangest chemistry I've ever seen in my life.

Speaker 4 (04:51):
He knows a little bit about chemistry.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
It's like Santa writing in his sleigh with Vladimir Putin.
It doesn't really match.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
It won't happen. That'd be a great picture.

Speaker 5 (05:00):
Yeah, of course Putin would have his shirt off. What
about you, Santa, No.

Speaker 2 (05:03):
I don't do the share listening. That's very unpleasant.

Speaker 3 (05:07):
Okay, more with Santa on the way, we also let's
go there, Let's go there. Let's talk about how you
do it every Christmas Eve, because the kids always want
to know, how do you do so much in.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
One way to get done in one night? Coming clear,
so excited, and you are so lucky in case you're
just joining Santa Claus is here.

Speaker 3 (05:30):
Thank you for misiting with us and for bringing Elphis
your number one elf is.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
Quite there, reific.

Speaker 5 (05:39):
I don't want to get into a little skirmish with him.
A little skirmish, and that was purely accidental.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
Elpis purely.

Speaker 5 (05:47):
Stepped off, was totally accidental. Hey, Santa, what do you
call a kid who doesn't believe in? Santa? No, I
don't know a rebel without a clause.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
Sam's got plenty of that.

Speaker 3 (05:59):
One of the questions I love to ask you every year.
I love your explanation of it, and I feel like
sometimes our hearts need it, Santa. The kids always want
to know, and I love to hear you explain how
you do so much in one night.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
Well, you know, Santa is timeless, so time doesn't mean
the same thing to Santa as it does to everybody else.

Speaker 3 (06:21):
But it doesn't mean the same thing to Murphy either.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
But Murphy does less in one night than the rest
of it. That's a little different, okay. But Santa can
do all of those things because time almost stands still
when I'm bringing everybody something to make them feel special,
and remember what this time of year is about.

Speaker 3 (06:44):
Right.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
And also, Santa can get into any house, any apartment.
You don't have to have a chimney, you don't have
to have a space for me to get in. I
can get in anywhere that a child is waiting for
me to come and bring them something special.

Speaker 4 (07:00):
Ah.

Speaker 3 (07:01):
That's what I needed to hear and what I wanted
to hear, and so many children wonder about. That's the
part of the magic. My final question about that night
and your journey. Do the children really need to be
asleep for you?

Speaker 2 (07:11):
Yes, No, that's very, very important because.

Speaker 4 (07:15):
It's so hard to fall asleep on Christmas Eve.

Speaker 2 (07:17):
Well, you know when children sleep, a lot of times
they they have magical dreams. That's one of the best
things about being a child is zoom you dream.

Speaker 4 (07:25):
I mean that they dream that they hear you.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
Yes, and Santa is part of their dream. So a
child needs to be sleeping and dreaming for Santa to
show up at their house.

Speaker 3 (07:35):
No pressure, but yes, thank you. That's that's the answer
that we always thought thought. Are you going to stick
around for a little bit longer while a fish?

Speaker 1 (07:43):
With that?

Speaker 5 (07:45):
Santa? I need you to I guess do side on
an argument Murphy and I are having about a Christmas
movie this year? No, we did do that, coming up next.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
All right, kids, get mom and dad to subscribe to
the Murphy, Sam and Jody podcast and iTunes. That way
you don't miss Santa. And actually you can hear every
time Santa has visited us so far this season just
by becoming a subscriber. Easy to do. You know what
we ought to get Santa to Jonas for after the
show too.

Speaker 4 (08:10):
Would you like to do that.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
Yes, so I'm in if I can keep drinking this
cold cold.

Speaker 3 (08:15):
Absolutely, and you and Elves, well, Elphis the only one
you brought.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
Yes, well, elfis you doing it? Okay?

Speaker 1 (08:21):
Over there?

Speaker 3 (08:22):
Yeah, I like to.

Speaker 5 (08:23):
See Yeah, yeah, joined the club getting line behind my
three ex wife.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
Huh okay, Look, we want you to help us with
the question that Sam has asked this season. I said yes,
Murphy said no. Is Love actually a Christmas movie?

Speaker 2 (08:41):
M Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world,
I think about the arrivals, gated, he throw airport, general
opinions starting to make out that we live in a
world of hatred and greed.

Speaker 1 (08:51):
But I don't see that.

Speaker 4 (08:53):
Santa. Have you ever seen this?

Speaker 2 (08:54):
Of course, Missus Claudes and I get together and watch
it every.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
Year Sam and this shows his non grnch side early fashion.

Speaker 4 (09:04):
It's his go to movie. He watches it a lot.

Speaker 1 (09:06):
Multiple times throughout the year.

Speaker 5 (09:08):
Yeah, year around.

Speaker 2 (09:08):
Here's the problem with Love actually is people remember it
as a very sweet Christmas movie, or they remember seeing
it on television where it's been edited right, So they
gather the kids around and they started and forget that
it's got some parts that are definitely not for kids.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
That is right, Santa. And see that's the reason I
say yes in spirit it's a Christmas movie. But you
have to be careful by saying it is a Christmas
movie because that are definitely not.

Speaker 2 (09:36):
Family for not a family movie in the Little One,
although it is a very heartwarming, wonderful movie for adults.

Speaker 1 (09:43):
You know, it's funny. It's not like Christmas Vacation where
you can kind of go across cursewatch because there are
scenes that you don't want little kids to see.

Speaker 2 (09:50):
How say you stick to it's a wonderful life?

Speaker 5 (09:54):
They said, it's not okay for little ones, So you
keep Elvis in the gang away from it?

Speaker 2 (09:58):
No eas Efish, you have ID don't you gotta run here?

Speaker 5 (10:04):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (10:04):
See Erfis has his ID card. Sam, I mean Erfice
is actually one hundred and twenty seven years old. Oh
my goodness.

Speaker 1 (10:11):
Get the feeling. If he ran fast enough, the guy
wouldn't cart him.

Speaker 2 (10:17):
There are you going there?

Speaker 4 (10:20):
What do you have to say about that?

Speaker 3 (10:20):
Alf? Okay, more with Santa and Elphis. If he wants
to come out of the bag again on the way
Franta's bag, Well, I'm half in the bag right now
with this Coco.

Speaker 4 (10:36):
It's going up next.

Speaker 1 (10:41):
And we have Santa. We love Santa. Satday is here
every Friday through the holiday season, So thank you for
being here.

Speaker 4 (10:46):
Thank you for clearing the calendar.

Speaker 2 (10:49):
Yes, every Friday, I've got it clear for you. Let
me check. Let me check the old s phone here.

Speaker 3 (10:56):
Missus Claus told me that you agree to do this
because we're the family friendly show.

Speaker 2 (10:59):
Yeah, that's right. Everybody can listen together. Santa loves that, right, San.
I have a question for you because this is the
time of the year. Christmas is full of wonder and excitement,
but it's also it's a tough time for people that
have experienced loss in a third of the year. And
that's something that I can tell you personally losing my
mother in April, this is gonna be the first Christmas
without my mom. Emily lost her mother over a year ago.

(11:22):
So you've got a lot of the room here that
is experienced that. So what is your advice on the
best way to kind of get through that. Well, you know,
I'm sorry about the year you've had because that is
a very very tough loss, especially a parent or a
child or someone that you're very close to. But the
thing to remember is in that relationship with that person,

(11:44):
the love didn't end when you were separated, when you
traveled or lived in different places, the love went on.
And part of what was wonderful about coming together for
the holidays is remembering that reconnecting. So take this as
a time to reconnect in your heart and in your
mind and to remember that love continues. The relationship is

(12:06):
not over just because the person's in a different place now.

Speaker 4 (12:09):
I think that one of the ways that that happens
is with traditions. Keeping them alive honors that person.

Speaker 1 (12:16):
That's right, right, Yeah, I agree, And you know what,
I didn't think I was going to be in that place.
I feel like I'm in that place where I really
do want to celebrate that and remember remember the good parts.
I wouldn't have told you that three months ago, but
I feel that way. And you know what, that's probably
a better option to me plowing through a bottle of alcohol.

Speaker 2 (12:31):
It's a much better option. And I'll tell you that
I'm joking, Jody, of course, not no, no, no, I
just that's my fear.

Speaker 3 (12:41):
In the back of my mind, is that where you
that's where.

Speaker 1 (12:44):
I want to go back there. No, no, no, but I
do want to celebrate the memory Sannah.

Speaker 2 (12:47):
Every time your girls do something that was a tradition
taught to you by your mother, or or you cook
something special for the holiday that your mother taught you
or was her recipe. She lives on through you and
your girls and their children. And that's the magic of Christmas.

Speaker 3 (13:03):
Thank yous to answer always, thank you, Santa. Can we
do an email coming up?

Speaker 2 (13:08):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (13:09):
Okay, Santa, keep your email coming to Santa at Murphy
Sam and Jody dot com.

Speaker 1 (13:16):
It is the most wonderful time of the year, and
it's the most wonderful person of the year in the
room with a Santa Claus comes and visits every single
holiday season.

Speaker 2 (13:25):
That's right.

Speaker 1 (13:26):
There's always a chair warm for you here, Santa.

Speaker 2 (13:28):
A lot warmer. Now. I'll tell you how today is.

Speaker 3 (13:30):
Warm when you leave, and I always snuggle into it.
Didn't know that did just.

Speaker 2 (13:33):
Smells like cinnamon? Don't you die it? Does?

Speaker 1 (13:35):
You know what? I noticed that when you walked in
the room, Santa, you smell like cinnamon.

Speaker 4 (13:38):
Is that's your own signature? Sent Yes?

Speaker 2 (13:40):
No, I think that's I think that's the sort of
smell that I give off.

Speaker 4 (13:44):
Do you work alone?

Speaker 2 (13:45):
I don't.

Speaker 4 (13:46):
You don't have to know.

Speaker 2 (13:47):
It's just a natural smell.

Speaker 1 (13:49):
You know.

Speaker 5 (13:49):
I've been looking for a new smile from my car.
I just got a new car.

Speaker 2 (13:53):
Would you like me to sit in it for like?

Speaker 5 (13:57):
Y'all use any different sense in the.

Speaker 2 (13:58):
Yes play or I like smell?

Speaker 5 (14:02):
Yeah, so we'll give that a bath and body works
by chance? Or in the north pole I think you
can just wondering. I got some of my questions I
do need to ask to besides that very important question there,
you've talked to us about this before that. If there's
no chimney, it's okay because you can still get into
a house. Yeah, good questions, But you get into a
house another way. Have you ever tripped an alarm?

Speaker 2 (14:22):
Oh? You know I have, but Santa has the power
to disable it. Nice, it doesn't go off very long.
Don't you think you're so honest?

Speaker 1 (14:31):
Yes, well, he's got all the administrative passwords, right.

Speaker 2 (14:37):
But if Santa weren't so honest, he wouldn't have those powers.

Speaker 1 (14:40):
You know what, You're right?

Speaker 4 (14:42):
What about pets?

Speaker 3 (14:43):
I mean, I've got four dogs at our house right now,
three of my own and one foster.

Speaker 2 (14:46):
Dog Center loves pets, and pets love center and animals
love me, especially reindeer of course. Sorry, but pets are
never a problem, even if they are very feisty and
they don't like people coming into the house. Santa is
a stranger to no one.

Speaker 5 (15:04):
Well, we all know about Dasher, Dancer, Prancervix and comic Cuba,
Donner Blitz and Rudolph.

Speaker 2 (15:08):
Wow, that was quick.

Speaker 5 (15:10):
Is there like a second string? Has anybody ever been
sick Christmas?

Speaker 1 (15:12):
Even?

Speaker 2 (15:13):
Yes? You know, well that's how I put Rudolphin in
the first price, of course. But yes, we have some
backup reindeers. There's Chuck and uh really Louise.

Speaker 5 (15:24):
Yeah, that doesn't quite ring the song, doesn't.

Speaker 2 (15:28):
Part of the reason that we're writing a new song
to include the second string. But yes we've Chuck and Louise.
Are the two altered it?

Speaker 5 (15:34):
Do they really play reindeer games too?

Speaker 2 (15:36):
They do? Every year we have the Reindeer Game, then
we have the Summer Reindeer Games, and uh, and we
have the Winter Reindeer Game where there's like reindeer ice
dancing and you know, reindeer curling.

Speaker 1 (15:50):
Chuck and Louise and the second stringer to play in
those two. Yes, everybody gets to play.

Speaker 2 (15:54):
Everybody gets to play, but Chuck and Louise generally make
Bronze switches to.

Speaker 3 (16:00):
Santa. Stick around a little bit more. We're gonna visit
with you one more time this morning. For an email
to Santa. This one is from Maggie. It's on the
way from Murphy, Samon Jody dot com.

Speaker 1 (16:14):
And you know what, in case you are just catching it,
Santa is here this morning and missed it. We don't
let you miss anything. Santa wants everybody to be happy.
So you can subscribe to the Murphy, Sam and Jody
podcast on iTunes or Google Play or whatever podcast provider
you want to use, and that way, listen whatever you
want it make, and you can hear all of Santa's secrets.

Speaker 5 (16:31):
Let me call that the clause cast say that fast
five times than Santa.

Speaker 3 (16:38):
You know, I've loved you ever since I was eight
years old and I walked into my living room and
I saw that Strawberry shortcake house.

Speaker 2 (16:44):
I remember that.

Speaker 1 (16:46):
Wait, you didn't love Santa until you were.

Speaker 2 (16:47):
Eighty Jody, we're ages one through seven. What tough, Murphy.

Speaker 3 (16:54):
I'm sorry I said that wrong. Of course I loved
you but you had me at that. There's always a
year that stands out, and that was one for me.

Speaker 2 (17:04):
I remember that Strawberry Shortcake house. It also like a
strawberry and it smelled like strawberry. Remember hair, also happy.

Speaker 3 (17:11):
We have an email for you from Maggie to Murphy
Samon Jody dot com. You're ready, right, Yes, Maggie, I
would like a balance beam Matt's and a bar. I'm
a gymnast and right now we went through a flood
and my parents can't afford that. So that's why I'm
asking you and your elves if you can make that
kind of thing. If you're wondering where we are, we
just finished our house from the damage. I'm happy we're

(17:34):
going to have Christmas in it. Thank you so much,
Santa XO XO Maggie.

Speaker 2 (17:40):
Well, Maggie, first of all, I admire the fact that
you're so dedicated to gymnastics. I mean, that is really
something that takes a lot of focus and a lot
of effort. And I'm glad you and your family are
safe and going back into your homes. You know a
lot of people had different types of disasters that knocked
them out of their home this year. And there's no

(18:02):
gift like going back for the holidays and remembering what's
important and having everyone together. So let's work on that
balance beam. It's a little different than what Santa and
the Elves work only, so maybe I'll have to do
it in parts, but right, okay, and you stay focused
and dedicated and keep being the good girl that you are, Maggie,

(18:23):
and we'll work on the beam and the match.

Speaker 4 (18:25):
Thank you, Santa. I just want to say too to
all the kids.

Speaker 3 (18:28):
If you don't hear Santa answer your email directly, it
doesn't mean he doesn't read and see every email, because
while you're here, you're going to take all these with
you and you'll get them all.

Speaker 5 (18:37):
Yes, part of your match.

Speaker 2 (18:38):
Every time a child writes down their wish, no matter
how it is.

Speaker 1 (18:42):
Santa, No, thank you, and you're gonna be back next Friday. Yes, awesome.

Speaker 5 (18:47):
Tell Elvis, I'm sorry it was such a short visit
this time.

Speaker 1 (18:52):
You're a size to elfho right, we love you, Santa
and the kid. You can send your email to movies
Aim and Joey dot com and Santa will pay back.
We'll visit again next Friday.
