Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to the Murphy Salmon Jody Daily Show Podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Join the conversation anytime we like having you along. Eight
seven seven three one zero four ms J.

Speaker 1 (00:12):
I think chat GPT and I are going to have
to break up at least for a little while. Why
you're going to have to break you break it off
for a little bit so lately, and I don't know
if there's a change on their end, meaning whoever it
is on the other end of chat GPT, by it is,
I'm running into more and more incorrect answers.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
From why you were You're the number one person that
I'm that we all know who uses it for everything.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
Well and realize because I am mister excess, I use Rock,
I used chat GPT, and I used co pilot. I've
played a little with Jim and I or whatever. But
I mean, because I'm comparing them all to me, there
are new technologies. See what they're different. I'll even feed
one's answers to the other to see if it agrees
or disagrees.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
That sounds like Rock.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
No, it's actually it will actually you know, say, you
know this is good information from chat GBT, but here's
what it missed, which is my point actually, so there
was I was doing some research for just without getting
too technical, if you have an iPad, this is the
problem with iOS stuff and why I'm an Android person

(01:20):
is big. Yeah, because on an iPad, which I love
the iPad, but you can't rearrange your home screen in
any sort of easy way whatsoever. It is not. It
is not as drop it in boxes and organize it
as easy as it is on an Android. It just isn't.
And so there was a I'd heard somebody mentioning a

(01:41):
piece of software, so I put it in chat GPT
and asked it for alternatives and said, yes, get this,
download this, try this, and this will allow you to
redo the screen. So I went through the entire process
and I realized one of my golden rules of AI
is make sure it's using the most current information. You
always tell it, make sure it's the current information. And
I did that, and it still went and referenced something

(02:03):
old and it missed a very important thing. It's like, oh, yeah,
this actually won't work on a Windows machine, but you
recommended it to me as working and I specifically asked
for it. And when I put it into crock, it's
I mean, groc was a much more thorough answer, and
it said, no, this is not capable of doing this.

Speaker 4 (02:19):
So yeah, a little quality control.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
Yeah, but it's happened to me a couple of times
in a row now with just so, I'm just I'm
putting it out there as a public service. You really
should do it for any of them. They're all prone
to errors. It's not that one's necessarily better than the other.
If you're going to use AI, always remember that it
can't it can't get everything right off it. Do you
wind up talent chat GPT, yeah, anything, yes, And it answered,

(02:43):
but that's you're correct. You didn't need me after all.
I'm like, okay, we're breaking up, all right.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
Coming up at six point fifty three Things to notice
stout your day. Coming up next though, Sam is the
food dude.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
Yeah, why some groceries are rolling back their prices to
nineteen nineties.

Speaker 5 (03:01):
Sam's always up on the new eats. He's the food.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
Dude, brought you by International Animal Rescue.

Speaker 3 (03:06):
Are you tired of paying high prices at the grocery store? Yes, yes,
it's not an infomercial. The folks at instacart say, hey,
we hear you. So this summer we're rolling back prices
to nineteen ninety nine.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
Really are they doing that?

Speaker 3 (03:22):
If you shop with Instacart and this is not on everything.
They ran the numbers and they said, basically nineteen ninety
nine prices on the things they want to roll back,
they're going to cut your forty seven percent off, so
basically half price. But it's only on certain snack items
kool Aid, Caprice suns, Otter Pops, Bagel Bites, hot Pockets,
all the healthy ninety stock, Yeah, Hot Posce. If you

(03:46):
order through Instacart, they're going to drop forty seven percent
off on those items.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
So that means those things are twice as expensive today
as they were in nineteen ninety nine.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
Yeah, yes, have a nineteen ninet nine party.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
Baga Bites and yeah, Caprice Sons. Frank's Red Hot has
a new seasoning coating for us. Now this is I
look this up. It's basically bread crumbs. The contents. It's
bread crumbs that are seasoned to taste like Frank's Red Hot,
and then it's got garlic and other stuff in It's
great picture as chicken it looks like, but I mean,
you can do anything that you season with bread crumbs.

Speaker 4 (04:22):
Yeah, that's great. That's a good idea.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
And that's not the only thing the You know the
crispy fried onion you put on the green beans at Thanksgiving.

Speaker 4 (04:29):
I'll put that on salads.

Speaker 6 (04:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (04:30):
They got a flavor of that one too in the
bread crumbs and stubs barbecue sauce. They even have a
flavor of that if you want to use how they
got barbecue sauce into bread crumbs.

Speaker 4 (04:40):
But hey, it sounds good.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
It's the same way they got it in the shaken bake.

Speaker 3 (04:44):
Yeah. The only thing missing here is the bag because
this sounds just like yeah right, King's Hawaiians a new
role forest limited time roll Ube coconut rolls. It's gonna
have a coconut flavor to it. Nice, and they're using
those purple sweet potatoes Ube sweet potatoes. You can only
don't look for this in the story. You can only
order this off the King's Hawaiian website. So I'm testing,

(05:06):
we're suggesting using this for like pulled pork, I mean
pulled pork coconut Hello and over at Costco if you're
a chicken and waffle fan in the deli section, they
are selling chicken and waffles. It's all together, you get
like three or four chicken strips, a few little waffles,
and maple syrup sauce.

Speaker 4 (05:24):
You never know waffles. Thank you food dude.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
Coming up next, your Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 5 (05:31):
The latest Buzz Jody's Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
Brought to you by Private Team Miss.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
Some rumors swirling around Hollywood that the Jimmy Fallon may
be leaving the Tonight Show before his contract ends.

Speaker 4 (05:45):
Why, because.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
This late night format is not surviving well in a
TikTok YouTube world.

Speaker 4 (05:57):
Everyone in that game struggles.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
Yeah, you wait till the next day and watch it.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
On YouTube, right, even if your favorite person in the world,
even if you know Denzel Washington is going to be
sitting there with Jimmy.

Speaker 4 (06:09):
Yeah, you can sleep and you watch it the next day.

Speaker 1 (06:12):
The appointment TV is just not yeah like it used
to be.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
Yeah, So, Jimmy Fallon's contract goes through twenty twenty eight,
but they're saying that he might leave anyway ahead of
time because he's exploring possibilities for his future, because he
still wants to entertain He's still Jimmy, right, And all
of those shows have really suffered since COVID when they
had to stop and they were doing stuff from home, doing.

Speaker 4 (06:34):
The best they could.

Speaker 3 (06:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (06:35):
Crazy, it's just a rumor, but I wanted to put
it out there.

Speaker 3 (06:38):
I think I'll see a time where they'll go away
late night TV.

Speaker 4 (06:43):
I didn't want to ask question.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
I hope not, but they'll have to be something on
but it may not be that format, correct sir.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
Coming up, Jony is giving me an early Father's Day gift,
and this may be one that you could take and
use for yourself.

Speaker 2 (06:57):
Father's Day is this Sunday, And since Dad's can be
hard to buy for, you also have to think of
the experience. What would he like to do on Father's
Day weekend that maybe only you can suggest and offer him? Murphy,
do you want to tell everybody about your early Father's
Day present?

Speaker 1 (07:16):
Well, yeah, Jody actually came up with a great idea
and it's very simple. My brother and my sister and
their families, we're just going to get together on Saturday.
It's easier to do the get together right on a
day that is not Father's Day, and so we'll get
together at the house.

Speaker 4 (07:30):
We're actually hosting them.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
Yeah, Jody's agreed to do the I say agreed to.
She came up with it, the cooking and everything. It's
my gift.

Speaker 4 (07:37):
Well, the truth of.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
The matter is you and your brother and sister and
their families, you all love it when you get together.
You especially you are happiest I feel like when you
get to be with them. And yet you guys don't
schedule these things, and so to me it's obvious that
that would be the best thing I could get of you.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
Sure I could get you.

Speaker 2 (08:01):
Some cologne or some new slides, or would you like
a new shirt. That's not going to make you as
happy as the experience of these few hours of them
coming up.

Speaker 3 (08:10):
Because Marpha, since his father's day, get to pick the meal.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
Yes, actually we haven't talked about that yet. Now, your
your brother's wife, sister in law offered, Christy offered to
bring dessert up.

Speaker 4 (08:24):
Okay, sorry, yeah, I get confused.

Speaker 2 (08:26):
And then your sister Jackie offered to bring drinks and
coffee fixings. So I'm like, awesome, All I have to
do is the food now. So the question is you
need to think about it and let me know what
you'd like me to prepare and or pick up.

Speaker 3 (08:41):
Oh options there, I know pretty good.

Speaker 1 (08:43):
I wanted to be as simple for you as possible.

Speaker 4 (08:46):
Pick up.

Speaker 1 (08:47):
What time does it get together?

Speaker 4 (08:49):
Six ish?

Speaker 2 (08:50):
I said, come for six pm Saturday night and stay
as long as you want Saturday night.

Speaker 1 (08:54):
I mean to me, I would be fine with like
those pistolettes and you know, little sandwich and cheese. People
can make whatever they want. It's light, fair, it's easy
to socialize over that. Yeah, right, can be done.

Speaker 4 (09:06):
Okay, that's fine with me. Not hot food anyway.

Speaker 2 (09:09):
The idea is, if you can't think of something to
get him by him, don't provide some sort of experience.

Speaker 4 (09:17):
Maybe he wants to go fishing, and maybe he wants
to go bowling. Maybe he wants to be left alone
all the week.

Speaker 1 (09:23):
Our surprised him. Take him to his favorite restaurant.

Speaker 2 (09:26):
All right? Coming up next, Three things to Know Today.

Speaker 4 (09:31):
Here's three things to Know Today, brought to you by
State Farm.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
Number one, It turns out dads don't want fishing gear
or a new tie for Father's Day. Turns out most
dads want to spend time with their kids and grandkids
if they have them on their special day, or maybe
with their own father or father figure. Isn't that lovely?
I mean, sure, you can cook him something, or you

(09:55):
can take him somewhere, but the word is Dad, sincerely,
just want the time and it to be a lit
little bit well all about him.

Speaker 3 (10:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
Number two, there's a rare strawberry moon visible this week.
Summer officially starts June twenty first, and so the earth
is sort of wrapping up, giving us our last full moon.
It's called a strawberry moon. Sometimes it can appear sort
of reddish or orange, but it's not called that for
the color reasons. It's called that for the start of
the strawberry harvest season. This is the lowest moon we've

(10:26):
had since like two thousand and six. It's going to
be at its brightest Wednesday, around three point.

Speaker 4 (10:31):
Thirty in the morning. It was bright this morning, I know,
strawberry moon.

Speaker 2 (10:34):
And number three, the iconic and super private star sly
Stone has died after a battle with lung disease. He
was eighty two years old, and he didn't make a
big fuss about being sick. In fact, he was so
private you never heard from him for decades.

Speaker 4 (10:50):
He was one of the most.

Speaker 2 (10:52):
Influential musicians though in the early pop funk era, and
he was the front man for sly and the Family.

Speaker 5 (10:59):
Stone are in the note three things to know Today.

Speaker 2 (11:05):
The way that you are sleeping could be affecting. It
could be making you look older. And as soon as
I read that headline, I thought, I know, I know
where this is going. Really, yes, a long time ago,
I'm gonna get to the current research and the way
you should sleep if you want to look as young
as possible and refreshed as possible.

Speaker 4 (11:23):
Bless her soul.

Speaker 2 (11:24):
My aunt Evelyn used to say this, Jody, you need
to sleep on your back so that you're you know,
you're just laying back and gravity.

Speaker 4 (11:31):
Can you know? It helps with wrinkles and all this.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
She was actually such a beautiful woman too. She's passed
on now, but she was so beautiful. I always I
couldn't take my eyes off of her when we would
visit them beautiful skin, these beautiful green eyes. Well, anyways,
it was something that I remember her saying once a
long time ago. It's true, when we sleep, that's when
you you repair. Your cellular repair happens, you know, And

(11:56):
if you sleep, if you end up on your side
or your stomach, which I do, I will go to
sleep on my back.

Speaker 4 (12:02):
Going, let's get the good vibes. Let's get the good
you know, gravity.

Speaker 2 (12:06):
And I end up in a weird position, don't I murph?

Speaker 1 (12:09):
Yeah? But same to hear, I couldn't if I nap,
I can stay on my back. Yeah, but for a
night's sleep. Even if I told myself stay on your
back all night, it's not going to happen, you.

Speaker 2 (12:20):
Know, Murphy, you end up on your side and I
had on my side and or stomach in a weird
like arms in a strange What about you sam.

Speaker 3 (12:28):
On a sofa taking a nap on my back? Great,
don't move, I just in bed. I want I have
to sleep on my side.

Speaker 2 (12:34):
It's almost like you end up sleeping in relation to
what you're sleeping on or in. If you're in the bed,
you got all kinds of room, you might get all
kinds of crazy.

Speaker 4 (12:44):
But if you have a sofa, you just your body
knows it.

Speaker 1 (12:47):
Anyway, Maybe if we got twin beds, Jody, we'd both sleep.

Speaker 3 (12:50):
On the back.

Speaker 2 (12:51):
Okay, Ricky, you don't want that. No sleep lines happen,
and sometimes they can become permanent, like your cheeks and
your jaws and your chest.

Speaker 4 (13:04):
Those areas.

Speaker 2 (13:05):
They get you over the think about how much you
sleep in your life. The consequences of those you know
you're force You're forcing your face to compress. It weakens,
collagen and lasting, all those sexy terms that mean you.

Speaker 4 (13:22):
Have plump, younger looking skin. Whatever. We're all aging.

Speaker 2 (13:25):
It's natural you're going to age. But the way that
you sleep, if you could sleep on your back every
night and not deviate from that, it is better for
the compression of your skin, the parts of your skin
that you care about.

Speaker 4 (13:38):
Face.

Speaker 3 (13:38):
I wear a seapap mask too, so I guess that
probably does something.

Speaker 4 (13:43):
It helps you breathe.

Speaker 1 (13:44):
Yeah, yeah, it probably extends your life.

Speaker 3 (13:46):
You look older, but you can breathe.

Speaker 1 (13:48):
My grandma used to call those angel marks when you'd
wake up on the Coming up in seven fifty Jeni
has three things to know today.

Speaker 2 (13:55):
Coming to you next though, Maria eight seven seven three
one zero four ms j.

Speaker 4 (14:02):
Join us anytime.

Speaker 2 (14:03):
Lots of ways to do that Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok,
you can even email to Murphysamon Jody dot com.

Speaker 1 (14:10):
How are you Maria?

Speaker 6 (14:12):
Awesome? First of all, you guys do an amazing job.

Speaker 4 (14:15):
Thank you.

Speaker 6 (14:16):
Second of all, I had an amazing father. He was military,
tught me right from wrong. But the biggest thing was.
I was a single bomb raising four boys whoa doing
both mom and dad, and I was there when they
got bullied, I kicked but when they had issues, caught
them right from wrong. And now there's three veterans and

(14:36):
the cops. And I think I did a great job
both as bomb and dad.

Speaker 3 (14:40):
And I like to give yeah, you did.

Speaker 6 (14:42):
Kudos to all those single women who have to be
both parents at the same time.

Speaker 2 (14:48):
Yes, probably difficult in ways you can't even pinpoint because
you have to be in your masculine energy so often,
you know, but you're a woman. You're probably you know,
at war with yourself during it. You did an incredible job. Yep.

Speaker 6 (15:02):
In fact, they said boot camp was easier than being
at home.

Speaker 1 (15:05):
Oh wow.

Speaker 4 (15:07):
Now let me say this.

Speaker 2 (15:08):
Now that they have, you've you know, grown them into
great men. How do you take care of you now?
If your life is not about everybody else?

Speaker 6 (15:17):
Now, sod enough. I take care of myself by taking
care of veterans all over the United States, by sending
letters and care packages. And that's what fulfills me more
than anything.

Speaker 4 (15:29):
Yeah, you have a servant's heart.

Speaker 6 (15:32):
Yes, I wear my heart on my sleeve. So if
there's someone in need I take care of them first.
What goes around comes around.

Speaker 2 (15:38):
Yeah, you're awesome, Maria, thank you for this happy Father's Day.

Speaker 3 (15:43):
Thank you.

Speaker 6 (15:44):
Yes, but like I said, give kiddos to all those
women who have to be broke mom and dad. But again,
like I said, I was blessed with a wonderful father
who taught us everything we needed to know and we
were lucky enough to see the world through his eyes.

Speaker 1 (16:00):
Thank you.

Speaker 6 (16:00):
It's a wonderful show. I love listening to you guys
all the time.

Speaker 4 (16:03):
Thank you. You go get them today, Maria. I know
you will yea too.

Speaker 2 (16:09):
Eight seven seven three one zero four msj to shout
out your father or yourself because Father's Day is this
week and we do want to hear about it.

Speaker 1 (16:18):
Coming up next, Jody has your Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 5 (16:22):
Jody's Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 3 (16:23):
Brought to you by Primate Tea Miss.

Speaker 2 (16:24):
Here's one of the biggest legal cases to ever hit
Hollywood and hasn't even gone to trial yet. But a
big drama alert is that a judge yesterday tossed out
the Justin Baldoni big four hundred million dollar countersuit against
Blake Lively.

Speaker 4 (16:39):
You know they worked together. It ends with us Lily.

Speaker 2 (16:45):
Man talk about two people who should have never worked together.
So the countersuit was filed against Blake, Lively and Ryan Reynolds.
He had filed he claimed defamation after she filed a
sexual harassment claim against him, and the judge said, no,
we're tossing that his suit out.

Speaker 3 (17:05):
I'm assuming he's going to peel that though.

Speaker 2 (17:07):
He still has some time to go in by the
end of this month, like June twenty third is his date,
so he's probably meeting with attorneys all week now, Blake said,
and her attorneys have said in the last twenty four
hours this is total vindication. Now they're going to go
after him for legal fees because they've had to fight
this anyway. The original, you know, sexual harassment case against

(17:30):
him is still headed to trial.

Speaker 3 (17:32):
So her part is still going on.

Speaker 4 (17:33):
Her her part is still going on. His has been tossed.

Speaker 2 (17:36):
He's probably going to come back with something, of course,
you know, he can still fight. He had also filed
suit against The New York Times.

Speaker 3 (17:42):
Yeah, oh, that was thrown out too.

Speaker 4 (17:44):
That was also thrown out yesterday.

Speaker 5 (17:46):
Coming up with Murphy Salmon, Jody.

Speaker 3 (17:47):
Yeah, money's tight this summer. We still have the most
affordable family vacations for you.
