After the Show 03/30: Jodi's Beach Vacation Request

Murphy and Jodi are planning a family vacation to the beach. Jodi is really looking forward to it, but she has one request. Something she does NOT want to do while she is there.

Thanks for hanging out with us a little bit longer
after the show is something exclusively exclusively you get for being
a Murviy, Sam and Jody podcast subscriber. And so Jody
and I are going to take a little uh spring vacation.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
It's a spring vacation.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
Round Eastern long weekend every week. I want to go
out of town with the girls. Wanted to go to
the beach, you know, which is really one of those
We've always had to balance it out because Jody's a
redhead and fair skin burns easily, so the beach is
not really Jody's favorite.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
Trip to take.

Speaker 3 (00:27):
It's so bad from now, I like, I love the
relaxation of the beach, but I just don't I do
early morning or evening, which is fine because everybody else
is down there, you know, sweating and burning up and
sun burning all in and I'm reading inside.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Early morning and evening's best fishing time too. Yeah, there
you go. We'll get you a poll, Jody.

Speaker 3 (00:48):
So I really do like it, but actually this time
I'm very excited about going.

Speaker 4 (00:52):
I do need a getaway.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
I need to stop life, stop this train, stop the
roller coaster, and just I'm so I'm excited about it.
But I did make one request, and that is, and
I'm sure a lot of moms feel this way. I
need to not have to take care of everybody for
a couple of days we first get there. I don't

(01:14):
want to because the beach is also as soon as
you get there, Mom's got to go to the store.
Mom comes home and puts everything away and plans all
the meals so people have things to eat. And I
really I don't want to do heavy cooking this time.
So if you're okay with sandwiches and little you know,
meat trays, hot dogs, yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
I want everything to be a break for you. Absolutely.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
In other words, I always cook at the beach, and
over the last summer.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
To do that to this lot, just the shorter vacations
will bounce. We'll go eat out and we'll we will
have sandwiches and keep it simple.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
Murphy's got his Domino's app on the phone.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
And you know, that's an easy request. I thought it
was going to be more about the sun and all that. Now, well,
I love actually going down getting the umbrellas and the
chairs I'll rent because I'm I'm over hauling stuff to
the beach too. That's my things a daddy, I'm gonna
rent chairs. It's worth the money in the time. Now
just do it, you know what I'm saying. That way

(02:06):
Jodi can walk down, sit under the umbrella and she's done.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
Fall asleep under the umbrella and accidentally burn like part
of my leg because I fell asleep and try to.

Speaker 4 (02:14):
Not do that. But yeah, we figured it out. You
figure it out over time.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
But I just feel like that vacation for me, if
I have to go straight to the store and straight
to planning, it feels like not a vacation.

Speaker 4 (02:26):
So peanut butter and jelly shame.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
I'm on board with it. As long as we get
to go take a break, I'm good.
