Speaker 1 (00:02):
You know what today is.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
That's right Monday. Oh yeah, I loved that too.
Speaker 1 (00:08):
Murphy's Bird.
Speaker 2 (00:11):
And SAME's favorite little birthday.
Speaker 1 (00:15):
That's happy, it's happy. So did you enjoy your birthday weekend?
I did give you enough love.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (00:22):
I just excellent.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
The family part is the fun. That's really, that's all
I wanted. You know, nothing, We don't have to do
anything fancy.
Speaker 1 (00:28):
Well, we're doing some something else today. Oh you're having
lunch with me and our girls.
Speaker 3 (00:33):
Ooh nice.
Speaker 2 (00:34):
Really that's cool lunch. Wanting to do that during the
week usually, you know.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
I know, there's a lot of school and so we're
definitely doing that.
Speaker 3 (00:42):
And you were little, and uh it was your birthday.
Did somebody always ask you how does it feel to
be a year older?
Speaker 1 (00:49):
Yes, my uncle Terry always asked me that question as
a kid.
Speaker 3 (00:53):
I was like wow, yeah. Then as I grew up,
it's like says yesterday.
Speaker 2 (00:57):
Well in the favorite line for somebody who's is how
does it feel to be a year younger?
Speaker 1 (01:03):
That thing, you know, I mean to ask is a
funny line about that. What is it that he says?
Speaker 2 (01:09):
When he turned eighty, he said, I don't feel a
day over seventy nine. So yeah, the uh but I
forgot to tell you, Jody, this is really sweet. Last
week your papa called and left a message on my
phone and he said, yeah, he said, Murphy. He said,
I'm so sorry that I missed your birthday. I just
want to let you know I was thinking about he
(01:29):
I guess he got off by a week or whatever
because he did hard. He didn't miss it. But it's
and I'll play the message for you.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
It's just a yeah. He is so sweet. And you know,
after my grandmother died, she was the one that did
that for the fan. Fact, she she made sure we
had get togethers for birthdays, right. But as soon as
she passed, I mean I remember the very next month
he was like, I'm trying to be on it. I
need to know everybody's birthday. And he means great grandchildren too. Yeah,
and yeah, it's very much.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
A family tree with a lot of branches.
Speaker 1 (01:59):
And to a call from Paupaw early your special Marph.
Speaker 3 (02:02):
I want to let you know this too today Murphy,
since it's your birthday. One of the magazines I take
it home, the Journal of Food Research. Yes, they did
a study on blowing out birthday candles. A bacteria study
and they found that you have fifteen percent more bacteria
on a cake once somebody blows the candles out.
Speaker 1 (02:17):
Don't tell him that it's.
Speaker 3 (02:19):
Not deadly bacteria. It's okay, that's good. It's just like
kissing or anything else.
Speaker 1 (02:23):
Well, you're the one that blows your candles out, then
you're the one whose bacteria it is.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
Well, but everybody's getting to slice the cake, is what
seems so. But you know it, I mean, I don't
think we need scientists ruining, ruining birthday parties everywhere because
of a little bacteria.
Speaker 1 (02:36):
Or germophobes letting it ruin it for you, all right?
Coming up, we do have a good thing this morning.
That's the sweetest thing. Again an old couple. I'm telling you,
they're married for seventy years, and the older couples, they
get it right.
Speaker 4 (02:47):
Coming up your Hollywood.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
Send update on that Jennifer Aniston TV show. She is
coming back to television.
Speaker 5 (02:57):
Judy's Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
Meg Ryan and John Mellencamp are back together again.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
Meg Ryan, isn't that one that we didn't We were
surprised to find that they were together in the first place.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
Actually they've been together for quite a long time on
the d L and then they part ways and then
get back together. And then they part ways and they
get back together, and according to John Mellencamp, is because
he is so grumpy. He doesn't blame her. He even
told Howard Stern once, remember she hates me to death.
This is the quote. I think it's because I'm a child.
I throw fits, I gripe, I complain, I'm moody. Every
(03:31):
bad thing a fella can be. That's me.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
Have you ever seen an interview with him? I mean,
it's the truth.
Speaker 1 (03:37):
He is just yea, he is, except he always has
a cigarette too.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
Yeah. Well, or did he quit after the heart attack.
He had a heart attack a few years ago.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
I had to quit. But this picture I saw the
other day of them, he had a cigarette in his hand.
I don't know, but they were spotted in New York
the other day together getting fro yo, looking pretty happy
and I like me camp getting fresh.
Speaker 3 (04:00):
Probably against his will.
Speaker 1 (04:02):
Anyway, I think that's just kind of funny and sweet
people that keep finding themselves back together again. It's either
super unhealthy or it's real love and they are trying
to work through all the other problems. You know what
I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
Yeah, I agree with you when you look at decades
of relationships like Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, they've been
together forever, and.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
That there's no breaking up there. Though, yeah, there's no
breaking up there. How could you? You couldn't. All right,
let's move on to this news that we found out
on Friday. I was so excited to me. This is
a big deal. Jennifer Aniston is coming back to TV's
and this is the first time she's had an actual
TV show since Friends, and it's with Reese Witherspoon. And
(04:42):
remember they work together on Friends for a couple of episodes.
When Reese came back, asked her sister in high.
Speaker 4 (04:49):
School, Oh stop you stop?
Speaker 5 (04:52):
No, stop?
Speaker 6 (04:55):
Okay?
Speaker 5 (04:55):
Well, and I sit here and then you'll both stop it.
Speaker 1 (04:59):
Murphy. This this is a part that Sam never got
to because he never finished Friends. He doesn't know about her,
about the sister that came back. Those are great storyline anyway,
So Reese Wetherspoon and Jennifer Aniston working together. It is
going to be supposedly an HBO drama about two morning
TV show host meaning the girls maybe their competitors, maybe
their friends. I don't know yet, but it's supposed to
(05:20):
be a drama.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
I think that'll be fun. It's gonna be tough to
not seeius Rachel, but that's always the case, even though
the show's been over what Friends ended thirteen years ago.
That's hard.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
I can see her as something other than Rachel, especially
in drama. You just want her to be Rachel forever.
Speaker 3 (05:33):
Hope it succeeds, since her movie career didn't ever.
Speaker 1 (05:35):
Okay, Okay, okay, she's done.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
Okay.
Speaker 5 (05:38):
Up to date with Judy's Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 1 (05:41):
Coming up next, David, what's in your Producer's mailbag?
Speaker 7 (05:43):
Kristin wants to thank you guys on spreading awareness on
something that's commonly misunderstood.
Speaker 2 (05:48):
Okay, coming up, Joondie's going to start the week with
a really sweet, good thing story that's coming up in
just about twenty minutes, So if you need a little smile,
that's on the way.
Speaker 1 (05:59):
It's about a couple it's been married for seventy years
and something sweet they're doing again. Another elderly couple.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
Just say, somebody's been married seventy years.
Speaker 1 (06:06):
Man, it's a lot of time. Yeah, all right, We
love hearing from you. Jump in anytime eight seven seven
three one zero four MSJ or reach out on Facebook
or Instagram.
Speaker 4 (06:16):
It's shine for the producers.
Speaker 1 (06:17):
Nailed down David, What's in your bag today?
Speaker 7 (06:20):
Kristen says, Hi, guys, Hi, I listen to you all
the time. I missed the broadcast about type one diabetes.
However I heard a little recap of it on the
podcast Nice. My son was diagnosed in March and is
doing great. His friends are always looking out for him
and am asking him if he feels okay. Sweet. The
(06:40):
hardest part, though, is trying to explain to adults why
a seven year old can't have a cupcake at a
birthday party. Yeah, other than having T one D, he
is perfect. He's a perfect little boy, just trying to
have a normal life. There are so many known athletes
and public figures who have type one diabetes. However it's
still commonly misunderstood. So thank you guys, Thank you Murphy
(07:01):
for spreading awareness on this issue.
Speaker 2 (07:04):
That's really sweet, christ and thank you for the note.
I like to calling it T one dmons so cooler
than it really is. Yeah, And it's interesting because when
I when I started hearing about celebrities or had it.
Why that helped me? I don't know. When I like
Bret Michaels lead singer a poison, when I find out
like serious rock and roller dude also starts.
Speaker 1 (07:21):
To have something in common with him.
Speaker 2 (07:23):
Yeah, it made me feel like like a big time
dude at that point.
Speaker 3 (07:25):
If I ever run into and we can talk about it, you.
Speaker 1 (07:27):
Know why why Murphy? Because anything that makes you feel
like you're not alone in something everybody needs, that everybody.
Speaker 2 (07:36):
Needs, well, you know it's weird. I mean, it's it's
funny that we're getting this mail bag this morning because
I literally had a problem with my infusion set where
these needles and these things aren't cheap. But you know,
I mean when you've had it a while, it's tough
to find a place to stick it where it actually works,
it doesn't hurt, and all this kind of stuff. And
I had to go through three of those this morning.
Very It's just after twenty years, you're like, oh my god,
(07:57):
you know, but then you realize, Okay, it's what I've got.
I'm able to manage it. Thank good us for good
health care and move on.
Speaker 1 (08:03):
Yeah, And you know, we talked to other moms over
the years, Kristen that you know, he's a kid now
your son, So there's so much that you you are
in your driving the train with him. But slowly but surely,
it'll be hard for you as a transition, not as
just as a parent, but as a parent of a
kid with type one diabetes to watch him take it
over completely right, whole different journey, I guess.
Speaker 2 (08:24):
Look, they're making advances every day.
Speaker 1 (08:25):
Yeah, thank you for reaching out. We love hearing from
you on Facebook or Instagram. Get us there anytime.
Speaker 4 (08:30):
Yeah, Sam has music news.
Speaker 3 (08:32):
I'll let you know which country artist says you will
never ever hear anything political at their concerts.
Speaker 2 (08:40):
If you're about to hop online, create a little dating
profile and you know, do online dating. There are a
few mistakes you want to avoid, so the biggest profile
mistakes are going to help you out with those.
Speaker 4 (08:49):
After seven o'clock, Sam's gotten music news.
Speaker 3 (08:52):
Miranda Lambert is saying that she is a one hundred
percent believer in the fact that she never wants to
use her platform for anything other than music, specifically politics. Yes,
she says, don't ever come to our show expecting to
sit hear her. Get up there, and preach her opinions.
All she wants to do is get up there. Man,
you paid your ticket price for the music, and she
wants to give you the music you came for.
Speaker 1 (09:12):
I'm gonna send her some flowers for that or whatever
she'd like, a beer or whatever.
Speaker 2 (09:17):
Most artists don't, you know what I mean. I know
that there's some and I think it's probably more common
with younger artists because when you're at that age. Remember
when we were on in college, it was the same thing.
You know, free speech alley and standing up. It's really important.
And I think once you're an established artist, you realize
everybody's really there for the music.
Speaker 1 (09:31):
Just that it's just that you know everybody. You can
go anywhere online or anywhere in the world and get
that twenty four to seven. I think people are looking
for an escape from it in their entertainments. Yeah, I mean,
I guess the Stephen Colberts would disagree, But she.
Speaker 3 (09:46):
Also said something pretty smart to it. It's so divided
you can't win anyway.
Speaker 1 (09:49):
It's true.
Speaker 3 (09:50):
Yeah, it's true.
Speaker 1 (09:51):
Preacher, watch how people walk out.
Speaker 3 (09:53):
Okay, here's something cool. You guys got to go see
Paul McCartney, a couple weeks ago to in vacation.
Speaker 1 (09:57):
It was awesome.
Speaker 3 (09:58):
He actually sat in and record some stuff. Ringo Stars
got a new album coming out soon called Give More Love,
so Paul visited Ringo. They did a couple of songs together.
Joe Walsh from The Eagles is actually on this too, so.
Speaker 2 (10:11):
I love Joe Walsh.
Speaker 3 (10:12):
Judy, it's Ringo's song called We're on the Road Again.
Speaker 7 (10:17):
Last year.
Speaker 1 (10:19):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (10:24):
You know Ringo is older than Paul, right, I mean,
Ringo's like in his late seventies now, I think that
does he not? He does? You know? It's funny, Sam,
When we were at the concert, we were secretly hoping
that Ringo would like show up on stage. I guess
any fan right would think that. Taylor and Phoebe our
daughter said the same thing. We were kind of open
(10:45):
Ringo would come out. It's like, yeah, everybody's been thinking that.
Speaker 3 (10:50):
Yeah, and it's only happened, what maybe five times or something.
Also this week, it might be a late birthday present
for you, Murphy, but the thirtieth anniversary Mariema Bastard Edition
five CD, two DVD box set of def Leopard's Hysteria
is out this Friday.
Speaker 2 (11:06):
Awesome man, what a cool band from the eighties.
Speaker 3 (11:11):
And album got all kinds of rarities and remixes and
different takes and all that kind of stuff, and some
booklets and all that comes out Friday. If you're looking
for another birthday gift for Murphy Jody.
Speaker 1 (11:21):
Thank you, Sam, Murphy, Sam and Jody Music News coming
up next. I've got the Good Thing story and it's
a couple that's been married for seventy years and it's
something sweet that when friral, that he is doing for her.
Speaker 2 (11:36):
So Jody always loves to find the good, happy news
and I love that too, because goodness nose, there's enough
bad stuff around. So we'll start Monday off a little positivity.
Speaker 4 (11:45):
Jody's good Thing, Yeah, we need it.
Speaker 1 (11:49):
And I came across this story what over the weekend
and it was so cute. It's this viral story of
this couple, Murphy. It made me think of you because
I know you and I have these plans to be
this old couple. We have had that from the jump
when we were first together dating. You don't know this story, Sam,
I've never told this story. We were going into a
restaurant together for lunch and this elderly couple was leaving
(12:10):
and he was helping her step down the step, and
they were just sweet and we just looked at each
other like, Okay, we want that. That's what the plan is.
You know, this is forever.
Speaker 2 (12:19):
Is that going to be us?
Speaker 1 (12:20):
That's the plan. Can you remember where we were when
we saw that?
Speaker 5 (12:23):
Right?
Speaker 1 (12:24):
You remember that? I know you do?
Speaker 2 (12:25):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (12:27):
Remember? Yeah.
Speaker 2 (12:28):
It's funny to hit us both at the same time.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
Which is really okay. So there's this elderly man and
his wife. They've been together for seventy years, by the way,
and his wife, her name is Nellie. She's in the
hospital with like a kidney infection, and his name is Sam.
And he is gently combing her hair and talking to
her while she's lying in this hospital bed and their
son was videoing it.
Speaker 3 (12:50):
You have to run comb my hair.
Speaker 6 (12:53):
And I never comed New York before, Nellie. This is
the first time for this. You know, you're looking better
giving me. I'm looking better with it. I'm not putting
her hair better, yea.
Speaker 1 (13:07):
So he's just combing her hair and he's it's really
sweet because he's very careful and he's going, you know,
all around the head to get all of it, not
just the front or whatever. And he's saying, I've never
done this before. It's a first. You've combed my hair before,
but I've never done this for you. It is so sweet.
Speaker 2 (13:25):
That's sweet, you know, Joa, you've never combed my hair.
Speaker 1 (13:28):
Well, it is your birthday today, right Anyway, I just
love that. That made me think of my grandparents. You know,
my grandmother used to always calm and do my grandfather's hair.
Speaker 2 (13:40):
Yeah, that's.
Speaker 1 (13:42):
You know maybe. And then of course he even made
comments about that after she passed away, about having to
learn how to do his own hair and stuff, and
you know, so I just love them. I love that.
Their son posted the video, shared it on Facebook and
Twitter and wrote, this is how you carry out your
wedding vows after being married for over seventy years. Coming
out Hollywood, why Angelina Jolie is having to defend herself
(14:07):
this morning against claims that she exploited Cambodian children.
Speaker 5 (14:11):
That's next, Jody's Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 1 (14:16):
You know, Angelina Joey's been in the news a lot lately,
speaking out for the first time, you know, after her
divorce from Brad Pitt and everything that they'd been through
and her having that problem with Bell's palsy. She's spoken
out a lot lately. I want to say, she's on
the cover of Vanity Fair for this month. Well, she's
also now having to defend herself against claims that she
exploited Cambodian orphans while they were casting for her new
(14:39):
Netflix movie First they killed my father, exploit exploiting them?
Can you imagine her doing that all the sun sets
on her sixteenth birthday? No, I can't imagine this, Sar.
I remember, like the first time I read this headline,
I'm thinking, no way would she have done this? You know,
it's been whatever. The claim is that her directors would
(15:02):
they have all these children from all over the place,
orphanages and circuses just all over this country, and they
would be talking to them to try to interview them,
and they would give them money and then take it
away from them really, which seems very explosive. Rights then
she goes on to explain that the directors would do that,
(15:24):
give them money, talk to them about what they would
like to use it for, and then take it away
from them to get his or her reaction, and that
this has all been taken out of context. It was
part of the audition process, and it was a part.
It was a pretend exercise, improv is what it was,
to see how they would behave.
Speaker 2 (15:41):
The story manufactured by the popular.
Speaker 1 (15:44):
She said she would have been outraged if it would
have happened the way it sounds like it happened. I
happened to believe that of her end of story. Yeah,
don't you think. Okay, let's talk about the weekend box office.
I was so excited for Scharlis Teraron to have this
new movie that's been hyped so much, and she looked
so awesome, and I thought, oh female James.
Speaker 3 (16:02):
Bond Atomic Blonde.
Speaker 1 (16:04):
The Atomic Blonde movie felt well. It debuted at number
four this weekend.
Speaker 3 (16:08):
Really know so many people are looking forward to that.
Speaker 1 (16:11):
I know, fell behind Girl's Trip, fell behind the Emoji
Movie and number one again this weekend. Oh, Harry Styles
can act Dunkirk.
Speaker 5 (16:19):
The enemy tanks have stopped, right, my waste, precious tanks
when they can pick us off from the airline.
Speaker 3 (16:25):
Number one, find Emoji movie.
Speaker 2 (16:27):
Yeah, I was gonna say, I Understandunkirk, but.
Speaker 1 (16:30):
Go on with the world. Don't we want to see
Charlie like this? I really really do Okay. Coming up
in your next Hollywood Outsider this morning at seven fifty five,
George Clooney is super protective of those twins, and rightly so,
because people are scaling his walls to try to take
pictures of his twins.
Speaker 5 (16:47):
Up to date with Judy's Hollywood Outsider, got.
Speaker 3 (16:50):
The food Dude coming up just after seven.
Speaker 6 (16:52):
I am.
Speaker 3 (16:53):
I love this when Taco bell has invented a new
food and of course one of their crazy names for it.
It's on the way.
Speaker 1 (17:01):
Coming up later this hour. Pro dating profile mistakes that
men make, but we won't stop there. Then dating profile
mistakes women make. It's funny they're different types of mistakes
because men and women are different creatures.
Speaker 3 (17:12):
I wonder if that's any of those mistakes with my profile, we'll.
Speaker 1 (17:15):
Actually figure it out. I wrote your profile for.
Speaker 3 (17:18):
I wrote it, and I just added some pictures.
Speaker 1 (17:20):
So yeah, and we helped you pick the picture. Sam too.
Speaker 2 (17:23):
Yeah yeah, Well, happy Monday. You know you could look
at it as being the end of the month or
the first day of a brand new week.
Speaker 1 (17:30):
And happy birthday, Murphy.
Speaker 3 (17:31):
Yeah you.
Speaker 5 (17:33):
Sam always finds the new eats geez food This.
Speaker 3 (17:38):
When Taco Bells created another food and you.
Speaker 1 (17:41):
Know how to talk to the ingredients they have in
the kitchen.
Speaker 3 (17:44):
And you know, I was joking with producer David. It's
like they have ten ingredients and they can make it
five thousand things with them. Yes, and of course whatever, Yes,
whenever they create a new food, they have to create
a name for it. This is uh, it's a burrito
that has beef, cheddar cheese, Chipotle and crispy potatoes. No,
it's called a beef beefy potato rito.
Speaker 1 (18:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (18:07):
Hey, it only sets back a buckets on the dollar menu.
Speaker 2 (18:10):
Okay, yeah, and I would trip over that every time.
Speaker 1 (18:13):
Order that, right, How can you remember this? I believe
in keeping menu simple.
Speaker 2 (18:17):
Yeah, it's my thought, you know, I'm telling you it's
it's interesting to me because it's cool that they're constantly
trying to reinvent cool things for their menu, and Taco
Bell's been consistent about the whole you know. It's kind
of like I don't know zany out there, right.
Speaker 3 (18:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (18:32):
But the one that jumps out at me that I
love that stuck the whole time is the Dorito's Locos taco.
Speaker 3 (18:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (18:37):
Yeah, they went with that, putting.
Speaker 2 (18:38):
Dorito's Nacho cheese on the outside of a taco shell.
Is sheer didn't.
Speaker 3 (18:44):
That wasn't just taking stuff in the back and making
something new.
Speaker 1 (18:47):
They invented something that was a collaboration.
Speaker 2 (18:50):
I wonder if that started with, dude, you dropped the
taco shell and the cheese.
Speaker 3 (18:53):
Oh man, come taste it.
Speaker 4 (18:55):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (18:55):
And Murphy, I know you're a big Coke zero fan.
I don't know if you heard the news at the
end of last week that coke as a reformulated Coke
zero and they're now they're now calling it coke zero sugar, oh,
meaning zero sugar. Okay, so it's still gonna have no sugar,
no you know, calories, but they tweak the formula to
make it taste more even more like real coke.
Speaker 1 (19:17):
Okay, good, because I think it's good, I don't need
to call I will never call it coke zero sugar, though,
because I've been calling it coke zero since.
Speaker 2 (19:24):
Well, you know, unless I'm ordering it from a really
good looking waitress. You know, coke zero sugar.
Speaker 1 (19:30):
That's the truth.
Speaker 4 (19:31):
If you can eat it, zims found it.
Speaker 1 (19:34):
Geez food dude, all right. Coming up next, Crystal wants
to weigh in on birthdays that land on holidays eight
seven seven three one oh four ms J. Happy birthday, Mirph.
You know it was really hard for me not to
give you your birthday present yesterday when your family was
over for cake and all that. But you know I
(19:54):
wanted to wait till the actual birthday today.
Speaker 4 (19:57):
It's your birth.
Speaker 2 (19:59):
Well, that's sweet, thank you. Look you know me, I'm
not in the rush for that kind of thing. I
like that. I like this surprise.
Speaker 1 (20:04):
Wait all week if you want, but I've already got
to wrap. The girls have fun gag presence. Oh really
gag but useful.
Speaker 2 (20:13):
H I love that they've they've always had an awesome
sense of humor that they love. They love to make
fun of the things that they know. It's really I
do that are goofy and.
Speaker 1 (20:21):
Yeah the private joke all right? Eight seven seven three
one zero four ms J. To join us anytime. What's
going on, Crystal?
Speaker 8 (20:29):
Well, I was listening to you guys comment about birthdays,
and I'm glad somebody I don't recall which one commented
finally about how they felt hard for those who had
birthdays on holidays. Yeah, because my birthdays on Christmas Day, yea,
never never got to spend it with friends, and that's it.
You got one day of the year birthday and Christmas
(20:50):
where everybody else I felt, you know, the people who
had birthdays in the summertime. Awesome. Ye, thanks every right.
Speaker 1 (20:56):
You had a whole day dedicated to you.
Speaker 8 (20:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (20:59):
Do you have jip out of the gifts too? You
only got the one that was good for both.
Speaker 8 (21:03):
I know, but when you're younger, my parents give us,
give me two presents. But then my younger brothers never
understood that, were very jealous and felt bad about that.
Speaker 1 (21:13):
Oh well, I didn't want your birthday.
Speaker 8 (21:15):
Didn't want the two persons. But I say what, my
husband and my kids never forget my birthday.
Speaker 1 (21:22):
Yeah hahaha. You know one of my dear friends, her
birthday is on Christmas also, And the thing about it is,
this is weird, but I think because of social media
now and when her birth everybody's on. Everybody's online on
social media sharing all their love and blessings on Christmas
morning and great pictures. I always remember it and see
(21:44):
her birthday and I give her extra love because I
know it's on Christmas. You know what I'm saying. There
You go, well, did you ever get cakes with like
green and red all the time.
Speaker 8 (21:53):
Oh the green and red cake.
Speaker 1 (21:56):
I'm sorry.
Speaker 3 (21:57):
Well, the good news was that a it. The good
news was they decorated the house just for your birthday.
Speaker 1 (22:03):
They did, Crystal.
Speaker 3 (22:07):
Got a tree and lights and everything.
Speaker 1 (22:08):
You get a whole season leading up to your day.
Speaker 8 (22:12):
Absolutely, well, thanks you guys. I enjoy your show.
Speaker 1 (22:15):
Thank you, Cristal.
Speaker 2 (22:16):
We appreciate the call.
Speaker 4 (22:18):
Coming up next with Murphy's Sam and Jody.
Speaker 1 (22:20):
Speaking of name days, that's what they call on Game
of Thrones, by the way, your name day.
Speaker 2 (22:24):
Oh birthday is a name day. Yeah, it is nice.
Speaker 3 (22:29):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (22:30):
We did have Murphy's birthday weekend, except that the most
important person who was supposed to come over, uh huh,
almost didn't because of a Jody Oops. I'll tell you
about that next. We made it a birthday weekend for Murphy.
Did you feel it? You felt the love all weekend?
Speaker 2 (22:46):
I absolutely did. Yeah, I know you thank you and
you know, and the thing wasn't it wasn't over the top.
You know, Sam, I know you're thinking hats and horns
and party favors. Yeah, it was not like that.
Speaker 1 (22:55):
All week thought you were having We were having hats
and horns without you.
Speaker 3 (22:57):
Sam, that's later on today, right.
Speaker 2 (23:00):
Well, it's funny because I remember my grandmother always saying,
you know, on her birthdays. I look, I just I
just want my family around me. I really don't, you know,
want anything else. And I remember thinking to myself, bring
on the presence. Right, But but you know, and now
I understand exactly really what she means. And so having
Jody and Taylor and Phoebe, just having the girls around,
(23:22):
and I get to visit with my dad and my
sister and her family. Unfortunately my brother couldn't make it,
but it's just a small, simple, little family gathering. Awesome.
Speaker 1 (23:31):
Unfortunately your dad almost didn't make it either. I made
a big oops with this situation. You had this sweet
little just an intimate family, immediate family get together, Murphy's
imediate family, and.
Speaker 2 (23:43):
Jody had a smartphone issue, sam.
Speaker 1 (23:46):
Oh, Murphy's dad, Dane has a couple of phone numbers. Yeah,
one is a cell phone number and one is a
home phone number. Still, and I made the oops inviting
him via the home phone number text, which you know
can't happen. And so about an hour.
Speaker 3 (24:03):
It usually pops back at you, doesn't it.
Speaker 1 (24:05):
It didn't pop back when I sent the messages out
last week asking everybody to come, and I, you know,
just busy crazy. So the morning of I'm thinking I
haven't heard back from Dane. He didn't know about it.
I like that. I was panicking and I didn't didn't
tell you though, Murphy. I couldn't. I couldn't bring myself
to tell you. But he's so sweet. He's like, oh,
I'm good, I'm gonna put some clothes on. You know
(24:27):
I love birthdays. So he was the sweetest ever.
Speaker 3 (24:32):
Issue, Yes can you not list it as home?
Speaker 1 (24:34):
And yes, I can now. It's something I never corrected anyway,
and I've corrected it with him. He and I have
been texting back and forth last night.
Speaker 3 (24:44):
Has he been using the home phone to do that?
Speaker 2 (24:46):
No? Smartphone?
Speaker 1 (24:49):
You had more surprises on the way for you today, Murphy,
at work and at home. How do you like that
that we're blowing it up big?
Speaker 4 (24:55):
Coming up with Murphy, Sam Joy.
Speaker 1 (24:57):
Even though you say you're out of the game, sound
coming up now? Profile dating profile mistakes that men and
women make will start with the men. I don't know
if you made any of these on your awesome profile?
Speaker 3 (25:08):
Okay, do that?
Speaker 7 (25:08):
Next?
Speaker 1 (25:11):
Coming up today? In the after the show podcast, something
you only get when you subscribe to the Murphy, Sam
and Jody podcast. Something I always tell myself end up
telling myself when working out because I started a new
workout thing recently and I just realized that because it
always goes into my brain. We'll get to that after
the show. Not really, not so much. Okay, you guys
(25:35):
ready for profile mistakes that men make. We'll start with
the men and then ladies will be next. I mean,
I'm sorry dating profile. When you say profile, I think that. Okay, So,
and you have to tell me if you how you
did this, Sam, how well you did about this? Number
one for men using an unappealing user name. Men do
this sometimes, and it's, according to match dot com, a mistake.
(25:58):
Don't put hangover twelve as you use your name.
Speaker 3 (26:02):
Or anything suggestive or anything like that or immature. I
saw that when I was online from some of the
women that have a name, and it would be like, okay,
that's number one right there, forget it by.
Speaker 1 (26:11):
Because of your name. Isn't that crazy?
Speaker 2 (26:14):
And I guess you wouldn't use ripped and sexy that
kind of thing, and.
Speaker 1 (26:17):
That's actually no. Actually I have to admit, okay, that's
actually a no no. Also, posting a resume instead of
a profile. You may be proud of your accomplishments and women,
you know, potential women do want to know about that
and see that for the date. Yeah, it makes it
seem like that's all you're about.
Speaker 6 (26:36):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (26:37):
Well, and if you do that and you talk about
your case history of you know, going way back in
the past, that might get a little awkward and weird too.
Speaker 1 (26:42):
It's difficult. It's a difficult thing to do. I've never
done one for myself. Obviously, I've not been single, you know,
in Forever Murph, but when we did, when I worked
with Sam on his It's a hard thing to write
about yourself, especially you should get a friend or someone
who really knows you to help you with it.
Speaker 3 (26:59):
A millionaire, I haven't had time for a dating life.
Speaker 1 (27:02):
Another mistake that a man men make on their dating
profiles sounding too picky about your match or what you
would want for potential Do you have a space for that,
like what you're looking for?
Speaker 3 (27:14):
Some of them do, because if they have algorithms that
help match you up or make it more likely find
that person.
Speaker 1 (27:20):
So did you do any of that Yeah.
Speaker 3 (27:21):
But the thing is you don't put you don't put
a million of them because then you really look. Yeah,
you put a couple of them.
Speaker 1 (27:27):
Yeah, you know.
Speaker 3 (27:28):
Your picture too is another one that I read. You
put normal pictures. Don't put you know Joe ripped?
Speaker 1 (27:34):
Oh no, another rule that a mistake that meant, don't
put even if you are ripped. No topless photos, no,
you know, no shirt photos for men.
Speaker 2 (27:43):
No workout type photos.
Speaker 3 (27:45):
That right, another tough day at the office.
Speaker 1 (27:49):
Okay, coming up next, dating profile mistakes that women make.
They're a little different guys. Okay, before we get to profiles,
dating profile mistakes that women make. I do want to clarify.
I was saying for men, one of the mistakes that
men make on their dating profiles its topless pictures. I
meant shirtless, right, it sounds a little different.
Speaker 2 (28:11):
You mean if you're trying to say, you know, working
out and I'm gonna love Yeah, exactly right.
Speaker 1 (28:15):
Yeah, you know if you are, it'll show through your shirt.
Speaker 2 (28:17):
Jody, I always assume the positive when it comes to you.
What do you mean, No, I'm just saying I'm assume
an honest mistake. Oh okay, super intentional is what I mean.
Speaker 1 (28:26):
Okay, good, thank you. I'm glad. Are you ready for
the mistakes that women make on their dating profiles?
Speaker 3 (28:31):
One of them, don't post topless pictures, Sam, Okay.
Speaker 1 (28:36):
No, I mean we're not going to touch that. Okay.
Number one, let's talk about the picture. Make it a
good picture of you, a real picture of you, though,
don't overfilter it. Apparently a lot of women do that.
Speaker 6 (28:48):
Look.
Speaker 1 (28:48):
I love a filter too, I love the colors. But
did you see a lot of that online?
Speaker 4 (28:52):
Sam?
Speaker 3 (28:52):
I did, and I think I saw a lot of
pictures where, you know, it was obviously I'm posing for
it this, Yeah, it's not because like the pictures I
put on, there were pictures I just grabbed from my
Facebook page of me, you know, sitting here having a
beer and me sitting here doing that right, just what
you were doing, not looking at the camera and a gaze,
twisting your neck with duck lips.
Speaker 6 (29:12):
You know.
Speaker 2 (29:13):
Yeah, anything that's obviously over photoshop. It probably could. It
looks plastic, almost animated, right, right.
Speaker 1 (29:19):
A good picture of yourself and you get to pick that,
but make sure it's as real as possible, and maybe
you'll be if you get the date, you'll be a
delightful surprise.
Speaker 3 (29:26):
And don't post one of those pictures where you can
see they obviously crop somebody else out, Yeah, because it
leaves you wondering was that a friend or is.
Speaker 1 (29:33):
That the X and the other thing. For women on
dating profiles, don't make your laundry list of things that
you're looking for in a date too long and intimidating,
because guys don't. He'll think he can't live up to
all the things you're looking for. Pick your two or
three top things you're looking for, and then get to
know somebody, right, Yeah, because I mean, you would be
(29:55):
intimidated by a laundry list, wouldn't you.
Speaker 3 (29:57):
Sound too much stuff you can't satisfy everyone.
Speaker 1 (29:59):
Great, And the old one is don't make your language
to romantic and fantasy and looking for soul matey stuff.
Just be I'm ready to get to know somebody.
Speaker 2 (30:10):
Supposedly some guy just sweep me off my feet.
Speaker 1 (30:13):
The ultimate romantic stuff apparently has a turn off on you.
Speaker 6 (30:16):
You're right.
Speaker 3 (30:16):
There was a lot of those that were like, I'm
looking for the man in my dreams, the person I
can spend the rest of my life with, and it's like,
hold on know you.
Speaker 2 (30:24):
I think that where it goes for guys as well,
though seriously, you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (30:28):
Women are more likely to write like that though, right,
So get these online. We've got links for you at
Murphy Samon Jody dot com.
Speaker 4 (30:34):
Coming out your Hollywood.
Speaker 1 (30:37):
You'd let you know who's been taking pictures of Georgia
and the Mal Clooney's twins without permission and what's going
to happen to them because of that? It's next.
Speaker 5 (30:49):
Jody's Hollywood Outside if.
Speaker 1 (30:51):
There's an Italian magazine that's been sending their photographers to
scale the fence and climb up high and take pictures
of Georgie Andamal Clooney's twins and they have see it's right?
Are you crazy?
Speaker 2 (31:07):
Doesn't he like live on a villa that overlooks the water,
It would be rock You have.
Speaker 1 (31:11):
To really work hard to get pictures of these babies,
and apparently it's happening. George Clooney says that last week
photographers scaled the wall and took pictures of the their
infants inside their home and.
Speaker 2 (31:24):
Maybe it's time to put up some curtains.
Speaker 1 (31:27):
Here's the word from George. Make no mistake the photographers
the agency and the magazine will be prosecuted to the
full extent of the law. The safety of our children
demands it. They were published though these photographs on Fridays,
the children are at home.
Speaker 3 (31:44):
George an Italian magazine.
Speaker 1 (31:45):
Yes, you want to go grab it today.
Speaker 3 (31:49):
I'll swing by the newsstand.
Speaker 1 (31:51):
I love them together as a couple, and I love
that he's a you know, they're having a they have
a family now. But I don't need to see those
babies until he's ready to show those babies. And they
have no shown the world those babies. Nobody's seen him,
and that's fine. I do their remember their names, though,
do you? Samm Ella Good and Alexander and Ella than
(32:13):
Me born in June. Anyway, they've not released any photographs
or details about them. These people, these Papi Papa Rozzi,
have scaled the walls to try to get their pictures,
and George is fighting mad about it. And I will
tell you remember that Amaal Clooney is a human rights lawyer.
I mean, good luck.
Speaker 2 (32:31):
As long as there's a magazine willing to pay a
premium for those photos, somebody's gonna get out their rope,
climb the rocks and take a picture.
Speaker 3 (32:38):
Mm hm see with a drone though.
Speaker 1 (32:41):
I guess so that's you know, he wants to jump
on this and take care of this now before they
get older, because he doesn't want his life to be
bananas like this. You know, this is probably the point
where he's little a little bit regretting his celebrity, except
that he lives in a villa because of his celebrity.
Speaker 3 (32:59):
Joy, Yeah, not reably not and like that he could
go to the castle in England or the manor or
whatever they live in.
Speaker 1 (33:04):
This is very true. This is very true, all right.
Coming up in your next Hollywood Outsider this morning at
eight thirty White, it's not a happy morning for Charlie's
there on and what big movie is going to take
over this week?
Speaker 5 (33:15):
Murphy, Sam and Jody you are Hollywood Coming up next.
Speaker 2 (33:19):
I got a phone call from Jody's grandfather. Yeah, it
was a really sweet call, but he apologized for something
he did not do. That's next. So Jody, I got
a voicemail here I wanted to share with you because
you know, today is my birthday. And thank you by the.
Speaker 3 (33:35):
Way, come on, everybody saying for the room, happy.
Speaker 2 (33:41):
In the presence in a really great week, and I
got to spend time with family. But I didn't get
to tell you that. I got a phone call from
your grandfather, a voicemail, and he was he missed. I
think he confused todays because he actually thought he missed
my birthday. So he was actually calling to apologize and
wish me a happy birthday. But I wanted to play
it for you because it is so sweet. Hold, he's
(34:03):
going to be eighty eight. Eighty eight, he can be
eighty eight September. Wow, yeah, in a month or so.
And so he called, and he left me the voicemail.
There are two things I want you in. Number one,
how sweet it really is. Number two, he sounds like
Johnny Cash. Johnny Cash to me. Here's the voicemail.
Speaker 4 (34:20):
Hey, this is I'm sorry I missed coding you on
your birthday, but I hope you had a good one.
Speaker 1 (34:27):
I see it down soon.
Speaker 2 (34:29):
Okay, Well, isn't that sweet?
Speaker 1 (34:33):
Does sound like Johnny Gash? I never thought of that
because he always sounds like my pop alternate.
Speaker 2 (34:37):
Yeah, yeah, but he didn't miss my birthday. But you know,
he keeps his he keeps his phone in his pocket,
sam in his shirt pocket so he can reach anybody, anytime, anywhere.
He's connected. I mean even at eighty eight, he says
connected everybody right, Jody.
Speaker 1 (34:50):
When I call him, he doesn't just answer, he answers, hey, Jody,
okay baby, because he knows it's me, because he sees it.
Speaker 3 (34:58):
Does he have a smartphone or a flip?
Speaker 2 (35:00):
It's a smartphone.
Speaker 1 (35:01):
It's a smartphone. I want to say it was a
flip until recently, and he just switched to a different
one from a flip. But you know it, really it
is special that he does that and took that over
from my grandmother. My grandmother was the birthday queen and
our family and got us together for every birthday. But
he has made it a point for every kid, every
in law, every grandkid, great grandchildren. It just it hurts
(35:21):
me that he feels bad that he thinks he misses it,
because even if he did miss it, he still called you.
Speaker 2 (35:28):
Yeah, you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (35:30):
He still took time out of his day and called you,
you know, let him know that he didn't miss it.
Maybe we should call him back today and let him
know he didn't miss it.
Speaker 2 (35:38):
That's a good idea, I really I should do that.
Speaker 1 (35:40):
He'll be happy to hear that.
Speaker 2 (35:41):
Yeah, right, I shouldn't try to text him, right, I
should call?
Speaker 3 (35:44):
Yeah, I would go.
Speaker 4 (35:45):
Yeah, coming up, Jody finds the good news today. Joey's
good today.
Speaker 6 (35:49):
All right.
Speaker 1 (35:50):
This is a sweet couple. They've been together for seventy
years and it's a really sweet viral video for something
that he is doing for her. To share them with
you next.
Speaker 2 (36:01):
So Jody always loves to find the good happiness and
I love that too, because goodness nose, there's enough bad
stuff around. So we'll start Monday off a little positivity.
Speaker 1 (36:10):
D's yeah, we need it. And I came across this
story what over the weekend and it was so cute.
It's this viral story of this couple, Murphy. It made
me think of you because I know you and I
have these plans to be this old couple. We have
had that from the jump when we were first together dating.
You don't know this story, Sam, I've never told this story.
We were going into a restaurant together for lunch and
(36:33):
this elderly couple was leaving and he was helping her
step down the step and they were just sweet and
we just looked at each other like, Okay, we want
that that's what the plan is. Yeah, you know this
is forever?
Speaker 2 (36:44):
Is that going to be us?
Speaker 1 (36:45):
That's the plan?
Speaker 4 (36:46):
Road.
Speaker 1 (36:47):
Can you remember where we were when we saw that, right?
You remember that? I know you do?
Speaker 2 (36:51):
Yeah? Remember everything. Yeah, it's funny to hit us both
at the same time.
Speaker 1 (36:55):
Which is really okay. So there's this elderly man and
his wife. They've been together for seventy years, by the way,
and his wife, her name is Nellie. She's in the
hospital with like a kidney infection, and his name is
Sam and he is gently combing her hair and talking
to her while she's lying in this hospital bed, and
their son was videoing it.
Speaker 6 (37:15):
You have to rub comb my hair and I never
combed you or before, Nellie. This is the first time
for this. You know, you're looking better garving me. I'm
looking better with it. I'm not fitting her hair better.
Speaker 4 (37:31):
Yeahs.
Speaker 1 (37:32):
So he's just combing her hair and he's it's really
sweet because he's very careful and he's going, you know,
all around the head to get all of it, not
just the front or whatever. And he's saying, I've never
done this before. It's a first. You've combed my hair before,
but I've never done this for you. It is so sweet.
Speaker 2 (37:50):
It's sweet, you know, Joa, you've never combed my hair.
Speaker 1 (37:53):
Well it is your birthday today anyway. I just love that.
It made me think of my grandparents. You know, my
grandmother used to always calm and do my grandfather's hair.
Speaker 2 (38:05):
Yeah, that's a generational thing, you know.
Speaker 1 (38:08):
Maybe. And then of course he even made comments about
that for she passed away, about having to learn how
to do his own hair and stuff, and you know,
so I just love them. I love that. Their son
posted the video, shared it on Facebook and Twitter and wrote,
this is how you carry out your wedding vows after
being married for over seventy years.
Speaker 4 (38:27):
Coming up next with Murphy.
Speaker 5 (38:28):
Sam and Joe.
Speaker 1 (38:29):
What we did yesterday for Murphy instead of birthday cake? Man,
it was on that's next Murphy's birthday. Well it's today finally,
And we had a whole weekend tried to spoil him.
Rotten you feel spoiled?
Speaker 2 (38:45):
I do, But so that sounds fancier than it was.
I mean, Saturday, it was just kind of a normal day.
Yesterday was fun because the family came over and say that.
Speaker 1 (38:52):
But Saturday night was awesome sauce we had this awesome meal.
Oh yeah, we had this great family conversation around the table.
We have this big round table and we had this
great dinner and just hanging out. You know, it's hard
to explain that. I know it sounds very boring, but
we we just talked for a long long time. Our
(39:12):
kids even asked us about you. Sam me, yeah, forces
but wondering Lord.
Speaker 2 (39:19):
Yeah, great table conversation.
Speaker 3 (39:21):
So we changed Sam Ben divorced.
Speaker 2 (39:26):
It was a great time visiting, just hanging out. Yes,
but I messed the steaks up. Juddie bought some steaks
and it had a little problem with the grill, so
we decided to go inside and use one of her
little things that we got from you know, that paper
cheft style thing with it sits on drill. Yeah, and
and so and so I googled a great recipe and
they were great, but I wound up overcooking them because
(39:47):
I'm not I'm used to do it on the grill,
not inside like that. And the girls were so sweet
because they're like, Daddy, come on, there's still it's it's
still steak and you did. Okay, just enjoy the meal.
But you know what I'm saying, Sam is a guy.
You overdo the meat, just kind.
Speaker 1 (39:59):
Of like it's like, leave it alone the rest of
the night it go. I'll tell you this. Also the
next day when we had your family over, we didn't
want to do a typical birthday cake. You didn't know
about this planning me and the girls, but we didn't
want to do a typical birthday cake. Phoebe wanted to
do like ice cream floats, and then Taylor was like,
(40:19):
I don't think Daddy cares about ice cream floats that much.
I said, wait, I know what he cares about. So
we made a pan of brownies on Sunday yesterday, and
then I cut them all up into pieces and we
put them into dessert bowls and we put a scoop
of vanilla ice cream on top of the warm brownie
and served it with a little bit of hot syrup drizzled.
It was on, Babe. Can I tell you something else
(40:43):
I learned about today? You know, I have a friend
who's very close to Producer Bailey. Producer Bailey's new to us,
and he's new to the family, and he's not the
most talkative person. Today is his birthday too.
Speaker 2 (40:57):
Oh we should have birthday you.
Speaker 1 (40:59):
Share the same birthday twenty one today, just lightly so
it's a big birthday celebration here today coming out. Okay,
not the greatest weekend for Atomic Blonde, Charlie Starn was
hoping so. And also the big movie that plans and
is set to take over this.
Speaker 5 (41:19):
Week Jody's Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 1 (41:24):
Surprises from the box office this weekend. You know, Charlie
Starn had this big movie coming out called Atomic Blonde,
which was like the female James Bond. It debuted at
number four this weekend, behind Girls Trip, behind Emoji movie.
I mean, really, what's going on? And number one again
this weekend, the Christopher Nolan World War two movie Dunkirk.
Speaker 3 (41:48):
Right, my waste precious tanks when they can pick us
off from the airplane.
Speaker 1 (41:51):
That's that's the number one again. Harry Styles acting debut.
I will tell you, I expect a shake up at
the box office this coming weekend. And this weekend debuts
in some theaters on Thursday, and everybody's waited for it.
The Stephen King The Dark Tower movie.
Speaker 6 (42:05):
You Can't Stop What's coming.
Speaker 4 (42:07):
Death always wins.
Speaker 1 (42:11):
That's Matthew McConaughey, by the way, telling you the death
always wins. That one is expected to blow up.
Speaker 5 (42:17):

come from?
Speaker 4 (42:39):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 7 (42:40):
This message comes from Bev and she wrote straight to
our website. On the producer's mail bag, Bev, she says,
I listen to your show every morning going to work.
Murphy and Jody are so positive. Sorry Sam, she didn't
say you.
Speaker 2 (42:53):
Yeah, Sam, Yeah.
Speaker 7 (42:56):
I finally found your website. You guys don't look like
I am agin but better.
Speaker 2 (43:02):
Oh well, that's really sweet, thank you.
Speaker 1 (43:04):
That's thank you for that. You know, you never look
like someone imagines you look, and so you always worry
that I feel like saying I'm sorry.
Speaker 2 (43:14):
Well, think about it. And that's not even just in
what we do. Have you ever had people that you've
worked with in the same company in different cities or whatever,
right and before social media, you talk to them on
the phone and when you finally met him, in person,
it's like, Wow, I don't hear your look like that.
Speaker 3 (43:26):
Yeah, you were that fine.
Speaker 1 (43:30):
Anyway, Well, thank you for saying that, bab. We appreciate
you and I jump in anytime on our Facebook page,
Instagram or Murphy Samonjody dot.
Speaker 5 (43:38):
Com, Sam's Gotten Music News.
Speaker 3 (43:43):
Miranda Lambert is saying that she is a one hundred
percent believer in the fact that she never wants to
use her platform for anything other than music, specifically politics. Yes,
she says, don't ever come to our show expecting to
hear her get up there and preach her opinions. All
she wants to do is get up there. You paid
your ticket price for the music, and she wants to
give you the music you came for.
Speaker 1 (44:03):
I'm going to send her some flowers for that or
whatever she'd like, a beer or whatever.
Speaker 2 (44:08):
Most artists don't, you know what I mean. I know
that there's some and I think it's probably more common
with younger artists because when you're at that age. Remember
when we were on in college, it was the same thing.
You know, free speech, alley and standing up. It's really important.
And I think once you're an established artist, you realize
everybody's really there for the music.
Speaker 1 (44:22):
Yeah, just that. It's just that, you know, everybody, you
can go anywhere online or anywhere in the world and
get that twenty four to seven. I think people are
looking for an escape from it in their entertainments. Yeah,
I mean, I guess the Stephen Colberts would disagree, but she.
Speaker 3 (44:37):
Also said something pretty smart to it. It's so divided
you can't win anyway.
Speaker 1 (44:40):
It's true.
Speaker 3 (44:41):
Yeah, it's true, Preacher to.
Speaker 1 (44:42):
Watch how people walk out. Okay, here's something cool.
Speaker 3 (44:45):
You guys got to go see Paul McCartney a couple
of weeks ago during vacation.
Speaker 1 (44:48):
It was awesome.
Speaker 3 (44:49):
He actually sat in and recorded some stuff. Ringo Stars
got a new album coming out soon called Give More Love,
so Paul visited Ringo. They did a couple songs together.
Joe Walsh from The Eagles is actually on this too, so.
Speaker 2 (45:02):
I love Joe Walls. Judy.
Speaker 3 (45:04):
It's Ringo's song called We're on the Road Again.
Speaker 8 (45:08):
Control last year.
Speaker 1 (45:10):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (45:15):
You know Ringo is older than Paul, right, I mean,
Ringo's like in his late seventies. Now, I think that's
import does he not? He does? You know? It's funny. Sam.
When we were at the concert. We were secretly hoping
that Ringo would like show up on stage. I guess
any fan right would think that. But Taylor and Phoebe,
our daughter, said the same thing. We were kind of
(45:36):
open Ringo would come out. It's like, yeah, everybody's been
thinking that.
Speaker 3 (45:41):
Yeah, and it's only happened, what maybe five times or something.
Also this week, it might be a late birthday present
for you, Murphy, but the thirtieth anniversary Remastered Edition five CD,
two DVD box set of def Leppard's Hysteria is out
this Friday.
Speaker 2 (45:57):
Awesome, man, what a cool band from the eighties.
Speaker 3 (46:02):
And album got all kinds of rarities and remixes and
different takes and all that kind of stuff, and some
booklets and all that comes out Friday. If you're looking
for another birthday gift for Murphy Jody.
Speaker 1 (46:12):
Thank you, Sam, Murphy, Sam and Jody Music News.
Speaker 2 (46:19):

Jody podcast, easy to do online. You can even do

Speaker 3 (46:32):
Yes, you want to explain how the after the show
podcast works. We hang out.
Speaker 1 (46:36):
After the show, another little cup of coffee, another conversation.
You never know where it's going to go. So today
I want to tell you guys about my new workout.
Murphy knows about it that I've been doing.
Speaker 2 (46:46):
Yeah, I'm impressed you're sticking to this one too. I
don't mean that negatively, you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (46:50):
It's just I know, Oh, it's fine. I start and
stop them all my life. I always will. But what
I always end up telling myself during a workout routine.
I think maybe producer day David can. He'll understand. He's
a workaholic. Workout anyway, you're my goals. But we'll do
that coming up.
