Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is the after the show podcast. Something different we
do we hang out Longer extra for you today we've
been doing. We did the show from a hotel room.
This is a first, guys.
Speaker 2 (00:12):
Well, yeah, the three heard the eighteen wheelers outside.
Speaker 3 (00:14):
Listen by the three of us are still I mean,
we're in a hotel room together this morning.
Speaker 1 (00:19):
Yeah, because we had a conference to go to.
Speaker 3 (00:22):
And by the way, we did not sleep in the
same hotel room last night. Sam's all those hilarious conveniently
next door. Yeah, we didn't even realize that when we
booked it. It's like, wow, this is classic. Sam's right
next door. Actually they got the room and I had
to sleep in the car.
Speaker 1 (00:35):
Run anyway, Sam forgot to tell you this. Last night
late Murphy and I were both hungry, really hungry, but
already like in I was in like yoga pants and
a tank, like we're not going down well food.
Speaker 3 (00:50):
And the reason for that, I mean is, you know, Sam,
this is a this is a basically a radio conference
that we're and so the schedule was packed and everything
was back to back, and you're on a schedule like that,
you have a tendency like not to eat really like
I haven't.
Speaker 1 (01:03):
We were had a mixer all night, you know, cocktails
and what there was a few little food things brought around.
Speaker 3 (01:11):
Well, it's funny. I love the way that Jodi says
cocktails because you know, Sam and I did not partake
in such cocktails.
Speaker 2 (01:17):
It a little chicken caesadillas are pretty good. Yeah, they were.
Didn't care for the macaroni and cheese fritters, I know.
Speaker 3 (01:23):
Anyway, Now, everything I had I enjoyed. I had, and
there was the occasional trunk of cheese in it, but
it was good.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
I had a couple of little bites or something, but
I had a drink or two. But we get back
to the room last night and we were both hungry
and so we ordered room service. We share it. We
split a burger so Hotel Burger room service seventy five dollars.
Speaker 3 (01:45):
Anyway, I was surprised, actually it was fairly reasonable.
Speaker 1 (01:48):
As soon as it showed up on that tray with
the little ketchup bottles and all that, I thought immediately Phoebe,
our Phoebe would love rooms service. And I was like,
from the next time that we travel with the kids,
we have got to have room service brought in because
I just know her. Knowing her, knowing them, they would
(02:09):
think that was cool. Yeah, you know, and they've never
had room service in a hotel, I know it.
Speaker 3 (02:15):
Yeah, I guess we should do that one. Are you
thinking it was cute because of the small catch And he's.
Speaker 1 (02:19):
Gonna want to keep the ketchup bottle?
Speaker 2 (02:21):
You know she is.
Speaker 1 (02:21):
She loves little little stuff like that, and I think
that's kind of cool. But it's just something that I guess,
you know, I think of them and all things, and
I realized that she would love that.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
You know. It's funny because I got the munchies to
last night.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
Yea.
Speaker 4 (02:34):
So I was actually in bed and bout an hour
after up now, just like rolling around, and finally I
just put clothes on and went down to the little
gift shop. Yeah, bought a bag of mix. The lady
was closing up, and it was like, can I get
in quick and get so I got a bag of mix.
Speaker 2 (02:51):
At least something to chew on.
Speaker 1 (02:56):
You could have come over and had a burger with us.
We didn't know you had the munchies. It was one
of those things that when we ordered it, we were
raving us by the time it showed up. Though I
was in bed and I was like, I could have
checked it. It was like, oh, why did we order this?
Speaker 3 (03:11):
Yeah, and this schedule is weird because, as you know me,
we're waking up early. And that's the thing that's even
funnier about this is because the three of us are
getting together kind of room in this hotel before anybody's awake,
you know what I mean, because we start so early
at what we do, and then because we're checking out today.
I don't know if any of you, either of you
have these kind of like packing quirks, but sort of
(03:31):
a murphysm.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
What I do.
Speaker 3 (03:33):
I keep everything contained to the luggage so that can
pick up and go when needed, you.
Speaker 1 (03:37):
Know what I mean, a lot more stuff than we do,
but because it's because of all this equipment stuff.
Speaker 4 (03:42):
But yeah, I guess. So I'm a prepper a day ahead.
So my clothes, you know, iron them the night before
and then since we are leaving today, I packed the
night before.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:52):
Yeah, see me too, with the exception of two things.
Right now, I'm packing ready to go.
Speaker 1 (03:55):
How about you, Jody, I'm going to pack in a
few minutes. Right For the point, I'm not so uptight.
