This is the after the show podcast today, and today
it's a Game of Thrones after you watched the last
episode podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
And we should let you know, by the way, there
are spoilers in here, even as a guy who doesn't
watch the show, Sam, just a warning, there's spoilers.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
That episode last night was called the Spoils of War
from season seven, so producer Davids and you're not the
only ones who watch it, Murphy, Sam, I'm really sorry.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
Well, I did spend more time with it than I
normally would last night, trying to help Jody out because
she was about twenty minutes late for the start of it.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
Sam. Oh and yeah, yeah.

Speaker 4 (00:33):
Bye, yah oh wait, I didn't read anything when I
text you did that.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
I've put my phone in the corner.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (00:38):
I was surprised whenever I watched I was like, why
isn't Jody texted me yet? And I waited a warm
he waited like ten minutes. I watched them behind the
episode and they'll like, Okay, surely she's seen it by now.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
Now. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
That's what's funny about it, David, is that you know
she made sure that she's shut off the outside world untilorry.
You have to say.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
What's funny is that when I heard my text go
off and I was still watching the show, I suspected
it was you. I was like, Ooh, this is gonna
get good if he's texting me already.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
Sammy cracked me up.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
It was like a technological marvel there when Jody realized
actually she could time shift this again.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
You know what I mean, she started at the beginning
minutes later.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Anyway, So look, what a show this Game of Thrones.
If you don't understand the hype, it's because it really
takes you on a ride. There are big moments that
you could never predict. I could have never predicted that
ending last night, and I think I'm all up in it,
reading the books and all that. What a show. Okay,
So I want to go back though, to the beginning

(01:33):
of the show. You mean, like the very beginning the
last showy Brand has been driving me crazy.

Speaker 4 (01:42):
I was about to say, he is aggravating me. Okay,
I just just speak. There's everyone.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
He's like a motionless But the problem is he's overwhelmed.
He knows everything. You know that if you read the
fan theories and you dig deep, he's overwhelmed because he
if he were full of emotion, he would explode. Yeah,
he knows everything, but he's so confusing.

Speaker 4 (02:01):
Not everyone knows what he's been through, and they're just
he's speaking in all these weird.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
Weird thing It's like, just spit it out. Did you
catch that he did something nasty to little Finger? He
nailed little Finger like it's hard to explain, but a
long time ago. Little Finger is the one who set
all this.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
Just so you know, little Finger is not a rapper throne.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
I got an awesome character, a bad character. Reminds me
of my father. But anyway, he he's the one that
set all this into Metion and brand basically by saying
chaos as a ladder said, I know what you did basically,
and I'm giving Aria this. I'm giving Aria this dagger
because she's a stone cold kill up.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
That's what happened.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
Let me tell you though, last night, what happened with
Danaris that needed to happen. Her standing in rooms and
making proclamations.

Speaker 4 (02:51):
And building this up for seven seasons and finally we're
getting some act.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
Let me let me bring you, let me bring you
into it. Sam.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
Yeah, Well, first off, if you were to watch the series,
things Denarius would get you hooked.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
She's awesome.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
Murphy's in love with her. She's a beautiful girl who
is the mother of dragons.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
Dragon lady.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
Yeah, she finally rode her dragon into a battle like
she's ridden the dragon before, and that was awesome. I
had goosebumps. But she rode it into battle as she
showed those armies what she's made of, and it was
so awesome. I literally fell off the bed.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
Does she have a bridle or something? I mean, how
do you hold onto a dragon?

Speaker 1 (03:28):
You know, I don't know how she holds on. But
they the dragons protect her. She's their mothers. They're not
going to buck her off, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
Right, God, it's it's.

Speaker 4 (03:36):
So exciting but so stressful because with that show, anytime
something great happens, I'm like tragedies soon to strike afterwards.
The more excited to get, the more stressed out I am.
And I'm lily. I was like sweating in my bed
to rip the blankets off, like freaking out me and
oh it's crazy.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Let me tell you this. This is the other thing.
Once the show is over. I was doing this in
the bedroom. Oh yeah, and I leave the room and
Taylor and Phoebe and they're looking at me like, oh god,
mom's watching Game of Thrones again. And Murphy you start
to ask me questions. I started to try to explain
it to him about what happened at the end with
Jamie and that dagger and Tyrian watching and it made

(04:13):
no sense.

Speaker 3 (04:13):
Of course, Hitler.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
I wanted to be the good husband and you know,
show interest in Yeah, He's like, what's going on?

Speaker 1 (04:19):
And I'm like, you know, Jamie Lanister is Tyrian's older brother. Remember,
I started to tell him and I'm like, what am
I doing? It? Must just make up a song.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
Yeah, oh yeah, she's the hot blind with the dragons.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
Yeah, she's the mother of dragons. It was. It was,
to me the David, the best episode they've ever given us. Absolutely.
What's funny is I was aggravated going into it because
I had heard that it was only fifty minutes long.
Uh huh, yeah, you up for it totally. There is
an episode this season, by the way, that's ninety minutes

long and ninety minutes long. You know what I'm gonna
do when I get home today, rewatch it. I'm gonna
and rewatch it again.
