Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is the after the show podcast, a special little
thing you get by subscribing, and you don't hear this
anywhere else, so special stuff. And O Murphy's back on
the phone with us.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
Well, yeah, I mean sometimes you got to make do
with what you got for a podcast, right, you gotta
do what you gotta do.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
Okay, So what's up producer David? All right, do you
do you guys believe in karma? Absolutely? Go around the
table and see absolutely.

Speaker 4 (00:30):
I would say I do because it has gotten me
in the past, and there are things that I've seen
it get people that I was like, mm hmm, you
know you shouldn't said that that's get you.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
Yeah, what about you is?

Speaker 2 (00:44):
I think it kind of doubles as guilty conscience. May
look it could be karma, but I don't know that.
It's a great mystery. I just kind of think that,
you know, sometimes if we know what we put out there,
we actually may get back. I guess that's the.

Speaker 5 (00:59):
Think.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
So yeah, and trying to figure it out verbally, you
kind of laid the definition down.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
Well why do you ask the reason?

Speaker 5 (01:06):
Well, something happened last night and it's not like a tragic,
dramatic story, but I mean it's something that I'm like, wow, Karma,
Me and a group of friends went out to bowl.
We went bowling. I've been bowling in a long time. True, well, man,
that's the thing, Like it's been a long time. And
so I didn't do great. I didn't do bad. I
got a few strikes and a few spares. But then
there's I have no consistency. I'll go and then strike

(01:29):
and then like that's the average average bowler. Yeah, I
have my moments. But anyway, so we're bowling, and first, oh,
we didn't pay just for a game. It was really cool.
You pay and you get the whole thing, for the
whole lane for an hour. So it's like bowl as
much as you can. And so, like I said, I'm
not doing that great. And so I'm in last, and
that was my goals. Like I just don't want to
be in last. I don't want to be in last, right.

(01:51):
And the guy that's was in first place, he's just
talking all this mess the whole time, just keeps on pick.
He's a friend and someone actually used to cheer with
when I was in and I haven't seen him in
a long time. And so we're talking some ball we're
catching up, and it's it's all fun and games. But
it gets to a point I'm like, look, I'm like,
you get you're kind of pushing it a little bit.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
I know you're winning. Blah blah blah.

Speaker 5 (02:13):
Well it finally gets to the point where I didn't
come in last, and that was my goal. When it
gets down to the very end, he goes and he's
fighting for first place. He wants to win. He's been
talking all this message econd place. I know I'm in,
I'm next second to last, okay, out of four people.
And so he goes to bowl and for to for
the win. He goes and as soon as he ReBs,

(02:34):
swings his arm back and goes for it, he rips
his pants and the ball goes flying straight to the gutter.
He like slips. He didn't like fall in his face.
And it wasn't a little rip. It was his pants
are all leg like like all the way boo. No,

(02:56):
thankfully he had on underwear. But it's just like I
just looked, and so he in the wind.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
He just turns around.

Speaker 5 (03:01):
I just pointed, I said, karma, And so I didn't
come in last. I was excited about that, but i'mought
it was funny.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
You know. You know it's funny is that karma. Karma
isn't always bad though, when we when people start talking
about karma and things are gonna happen. But you said
this good karma too, right, good things out there and
good things can come back too, So I think it's
you know, it's both sides.

Speaker 3 (03:23):
It is.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
So back to the split pants. How did he walk
out of there? We split pants thing has never happened
to me that I'm aware of.

Speaker 5 (03:32):
He was embarrassed, but it got to the point it's
like there's nothing you can do about it, like are
you gonna leave or just hang out with your friends?

Speaker 3 (03:38):
And he was cool.

Speaker 5 (03:39):
He ended up hanging out with sorry, and so he
kept playing. But he tried to go again, and the
more he'd bowl, the more they'd rip. So he ended
up just going granny shots. You know, Yeah, he just
kind of granny shot. And so the last game we
were all just basically being silly and not really being
competitive and just having fun with it.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
But it was interesting interesting experiences. Have you ever ripped
your pants?

Speaker 4 (04:03):
Man, I've never ripped my pants, not like that, I
mean skinning the knee and popping a hole in it
is one thing. But I've never done that, Murphy.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
I don't think you have, have you?

Speaker 2 (04:13):
Yeah? Actually I did one time. It was unfortunately where
it ripped wasn't obvious to everybody, but it was one
of those trying to save my back, I squatted down
to pick up something and of course created a rip
instead of I saved my back, but I ripped my pants.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
What about you, I have, David.

Speaker 5 (04:27):
Yeah, jumping into a car one time, and it just
I had to stretch my legs up real high because
it was like a high It was a lifted up
truck and so when I lifted my leg as highs,
they could go and you know there it is.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
Missed any part of the show.
