Speaker 1 (00:03):
You know, it's tough to wake up in a bad
mood this time of the year, just saying, I know.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
It's never fun to wake up in a bad mood.
Speaker 1 (00:09):
And I know it, you know, I mean it's Look,
the holidays are very different for everybody, and I get that.
I know some years are tougher than others. But there's
just something special about it. There's just a natural energy
to me about this time of year.
Speaker 2 (00:17):
Oh yeah, I love and so promise.
Speaker 1 (00:19):
Yeah, and so here we are. We've got, you know,
a gift to day idea for you. We've got the
Twelve Dips of Christmas in which we do every year.
Speaker 3 (00:25):
And yeah, and you know who's on the list this
year is producer Bailey, who is normally with us so
so early in the morning and then he has to
head off to.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
Class, right, but he doesn't have class today. Okay, we're
just talking about schooling.
Speaker 4 (00:36):
I like me, who doesn't have class any day.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
He has class later.
Speaker 3 (00:40):
So he's gonna give us his dip in the Twelve
Dips of Christmas coming up this hour. And it's a
sweet one and it's one that he's made before. Oh
so cool.
Speaker 2 (00:48):
I love that I slept on the couch again last night.
Speaker 1 (00:53):
Yeah, you know what. Enough's enough, Sam, I fold her.
You go sleep in the other room, Jody, in time
for the holidays.
Speaker 2 (00:58):
You didn't even realize that I had out of the bedroom.
Speaker 1 (01:01):
But I wish you would go to the doctor today. No,
I had. It's funny. I appreciate the fact that you
I started coughing, but I never heard it.
Speaker 3 (01:08):
Well, good because I worry about waking you up when
I can't stop coughing at night, and that's ridiculous. And
plus I need to prop myself up more when I'm coughing.
Something about laying down flat makes it worse as I'm
trying to get over this thing I've got. And so
I slept on the couch about ten minutes before I
was supposed to get up. I heard you creep into
the kitchen and then you came back and on the road, well,
(01:29):
use tiptoed whatever.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
Yeah, well I did that because I was I had
a low blood blood sager.
Speaker 2 (01:33):
I could tell. And then when you came back through
you kissed.
Speaker 3 (01:36):
Me on the head. Well I did I had been asleep.
That would have scared me to death. But I'm hoping
not to have to sleep on the couch this night
the coffin.
Speaker 4 (01:45):
Is it constant or do you ever actually get to sleep?
Speaker 3 (01:48):
I do get to sleep eventually, but I don't want
to wake him up. I don't want to wake you up, Murphy.
Speaker 1 (01:52):
But I promise you I've not heard that. I would
rather you be comfortable.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
It was comfortable, and that couch is cozy.
Speaker 1 (01:57):
Okay, Yeah, although I could get used to king size
bad to myself, you know.
Speaker 3 (02:01):
Yeah, yes, that's the plus you said you didn't even notice. Okay,
pretty ser Bailey's dip in the twelve Dips of Christmas
coming up? Plus coming up next our new little weird
binge at the house.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
Maybe you can help us with it, Sam.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
Okay, and you can keep up with all the holiday
fun at Murphy Salmon Jody dot com. There's a ton
of it there and anything you missed on the Murphy
Salmon Jody podcast.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (02:27):
You know, Murphy and I usually we usually have a
binge enjoined together.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
Especially around the holiday season. Is where we've kind of
started them in the past. It's been breaking bad two
years ago or last year was mad Men? That was
last year.
Speaker 3 (02:39):
I don't know if it was, but I know last
year at Christmas time when I started binging Thrones and
became obsessed. I spent I don't know several months binging
that whole day.
Speaker 4 (02:50):
We finished that one recently too.
Speaker 3 (02:52):
Yes, because the new season was out in the summer
and so I it was so good.
Speaker 1 (02:56):
Sam, you spent last Christmas binging the Why can't I
remember that? What's the show?
Speaker 5 (02:59):
Them?
Speaker 1 (03:00):
You cry?
Speaker 4 (03:00):
Oh? This is us, this is us. Yeah, yeah, you're
not as cry worthy this season, thank goodness.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
Oh well, then you should be able to watch it
without worry.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
Well that cry.
Speaker 2 (03:09):
Okay, we don't.
Speaker 3 (03:11):
Have a current venge right now, and I was telling
you last night it's like, Murph, we need to watch something.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
Let's try something.
Speaker 3 (03:17):
So we go online and I'm like, okay, well, how
about something funny that people seem to love and I've
never watched and we love Steve Carrell, So let's give
the Office a try.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
Did you hear the.
Speaker 6 (03:27):
Stanleys have an affair?
Speaker 5 (03:29):
I did from you.
Speaker 4 (03:30):
You's got to stop telling people we've never seen that.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
We didn't think it was funny, Bailey, David, either of
you guys into the office.
Speaker 2 (03:39):
Yes, I love the EV, Jim and Pam.
Speaker 7 (03:42):
That's the main reason why Steve Carol actually does kind
of aggravate me a bit. Okay, okay, but you learn
to love him, like as much as he drives you insane,
he's he's great.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
So it's a situation where it's the pilot episode. It's
just not litting up.
Speaker 7 (03:53):
The more you watch, the more attached you get to
the characters, and by the end, like you you work
there in the office, lift them.
Speaker 1 (03:59):
Okay, well we'll give it a chance, because Jody and
I found it's the typical thing. First episode didn't laugh.
Speaker 3 (04:05):
I never laughed out loud once, and if I don't
do that once, I don't think it's a comedy anyway.
So what I did was, like, Murphy, would you like
to try to watch the Netflix original show with me?
Speaker 2 (04:16):
The Crown? It would help if we could decide here
and now on your name.
Speaker 6 (04:21):
My name, yes, ma'am, and that is the name you
will take as queen. Let's not over complicate matters unnecessarily.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
My name is Elizabeth. Oh see, I've started watching this.
Speaker 3 (04:31):
I'm like six episodes in, and I think it's beautiful
and lovely and fascinating.
Speaker 1 (04:36):
I mean, I do like it. I'm interested.
Speaker 2 (04:37):
It's not your kind of show that it's.
Speaker 1 (04:39):
Not in comedy, but I mean, I'm willing to stick
with it. The guy from mad Men is the King.
Speaker 2 (04:44):
It's really beautiful. It's more chick I know that.
Speaker 4 (04:48):
Tell me on that one.
Speaker 2 (04:48):
I'm not asking you.
Speaker 3 (04:49):
I'm just saying it's probably up to you Murphy Office
or The Crown, two completely different shows.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
Or maybe if you want to help us out with
a new bench fin missing, let us know on our
Facebook page.
Speaker 3 (04:59):
Coming up with Murphy's Salmon Joey Producer Bailey in the
house for real, Are you ready to do this? I
think I am, okay, gonna give us your dip in
the twelve Dips of Christmas and we've never done one
with cookie dough and this one is with cookie dough.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
That's all right, coming up later and we want to
hear from you. Those holiday traditions are specific. It's so
special to your family. At eight seven seven three one
oh for MSJA.
Speaker 8 (05:27):
Get the Twelve Dips of Christmas at Murphysalmonjodi dot com.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
Sounds like Frank Sinatra singing about our twelve dips.
Speaker 1 (05:33):
I think it is oh cool.
Speaker 3 (05:35):
Okay, So today's dip is from producer Bailey and you
don't get to stay with us very often, so I'm
so glad you're with us this morning for a little while.
Speaker 2 (05:44):
This is the first year you've ever done twelve dips
with us.
Speaker 3 (05:46):
Yeah, that's true, and I'm super excited about what you
have contributed because we've never had a cookie dough dip.
Speaker 4 (05:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (05:53):
I figured I figured going going the sweet route would
be a little bit of an outside curve there.
Speaker 1 (05:58):
So me and Sam or savory salty.
Speaker 2 (06:01):
All right, but you you you knock this down.
Speaker 4 (06:04):
I got to hear it.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
Okay, So you've made this before?
Speaker 4 (06:07):
Yes, I did.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
Where'd you get the recipe? Like, what's the story?
Speaker 6 (06:09):
Okay, So my parents gave this to me for actually
this Christmas season, just to have something to make, Okay, And.
Speaker 2 (06:17):
Did you know it was going to make the twelve dips?
Speaker 3 (06:19):
Well she does now, okay, So is it actual cookie
dough with other stuff?
Speaker 9 (06:25):
No?
Speaker 6 (06:25):
Okay, So that's the that's the interesting thing. It's not
actually cookie dough. It's more like you're putting together a
whole bunch of ingredients to make something that resembles cookie dough.
Speaker 2 (06:33):
So it's like, so it doesn't have raw eggs. Wondering
which is beautiful.
Speaker 1 (06:37):
Yeah it's yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:40):
So what's in it?
Speaker 6 (06:41):
Okay, so it's got not to name all the things,
but it's got cream cheese and butter and chocolate chips
and you know, uh, cream cheese. Yeah, it's got brown
sugar in it, which is like a lot of yeah extract.
Speaker 4 (06:53):
So it resembles a cookie dough.
Speaker 1 (06:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:56):
I love that a sweet So what what would you
serve it with?
Speaker 6 (07:00):
Put it on gram crackers and but I'm sure any
sort of sweet kind of I don't.
Speaker 1 (07:05):
Know, you can like dip an oreo in it and
going overload? No, yeah, it probably me too sweet?
Speaker 3 (07:10):
Oh yeah, call okay, so producer Bailey's cookie dough dip.
Speaker 2 (07:15):
This is good because we've never had one like this ever. Yeah,
and also yours.
Speaker 6 (07:18):
I was just thinking it might even be a good idea.
If you wanted to modify it. You could probably put
some peppermint oil in there.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
M Oh wow, who's.
Speaker 1 (07:27):
A shop a little Christmas twist?
Speaker 2 (07:29):
That is a good idea.
Speaker 4 (07:30):
And you brought this today?
Speaker 6 (07:31):
Yeah, yeah, it's in the fridge waiting.
Speaker 3 (07:34):
Okay, all right, check out all the twelve dips of
Christmas Sweet and Savoryone's there at Murphy Salmon Jody dot com.
Thank you, Bailey, coming up next with Murphy's Salmon Jody.
Speaker 1 (07:44):
Sam's got today's Gift to Day idea.
Speaker 4 (07:46):
Actually, it's a handful of gifts too. These are unusual
gifts to make somebody in the last laugh for sure.
Speaker 2 (07:51):
Oh the weird ones making your list.
Speaker 8 (07:58):
Check here twice Gift Today Ideas at Murphysamon Joey dot com.
Speaker 3 (08:03):
Right, Sam, you're up bring the odds usual.
Speaker 4 (08:06):
I mean, if you're used to giving the traditional gifts
for somebody this Christmas, this is for somebody that has
a good sense of humor or they're you're just looking
for something quirky, okay, kind of like at the White
Elephant parties.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
You know it's air.
Speaker 4 (08:17):
Yeah, and they would appreciate it.
Speaker 1 (08:18):
Sometimes those make good stocking stuffers too.
Speaker 4 (08:21):
And looking at all of these, I would appreciate any
of these. I'll save the best one for last, though.
Speaker 2 (08:25):
Is it Star Wars?
Speaker 4 (08:26):
No, it's not. I showed it to producer David and
he wants one. Now I don't care for him. The
Magic wand salt and pepper shaker. Now it's you got
a white one and a black one. It's got a
wand and at the end of it is a star
and so when you fill it up, the stars where
it's the holes are so you can shake the wind
and that's where your salt and pepper come out. Just
don't throw anybody's eye.
Speaker 1 (08:47):
Well, are something that fun, you're likely to oversalt? Yeah,
you know, because you're gonna use it for everything.
Speaker 4 (08:53):
Okay, don't give that one to the kids. The animal
claw of EMTs I like traditional love admits, but they
have paws, you know, the nails on them so that they.
Speaker 3 (09:01):
Look like I'm not into the quirky stuff for my
kitchen or whatnot, but that I would do.
Speaker 4 (09:09):
Yeah, we have, and I think we've done this one
in the past. It's the bicycle pizza cutter. You know
how pizza cutters have the metal wheel handle, one metal
wheel in the handle. Well, this is two metal wheels
like bicycle wheels, and the whole apparatus looks like it's
a bicycle. So you grab it by the seat.
Speaker 2 (09:25):
And you push it and E put Barbie on top
of it.
Speaker 4 (09:29):
Yeah, but she'd probably fall off or not if.
Speaker 3 (09:31):
You hold it fall and we're gonna go bicycle pizza cutter.
We need to bring Barbie.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
It sounds like an Instagram story to me.
Speaker 4 (09:38):
And by the way, none of these are super expensive.
I mean we're talking fifty dollars their last now here's
the best one. Awesome, awesome, awesome. You know what a
glue gun is, right for your craft products? A hot
glue gun. Yeah, this is the hot glue cheese gun.
So wait, you put like cheese sticks in it. You
put a cheese stick in it. And let's say you're
making nachos, so you got all your stuff on an
(09:59):
individual not you grab your hot glue cheese gun. One
nacho down, two nachos down, and you can individually make
your own nacho.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
That's what producer David wants.
Speaker 4 (10:09):
Yeah, yes it is. I showed him the picture of
this and he's like, oh my god, I need that.
Speaker 2 (10:14):
Okay, so, but cheese sticks in it, like you say, so.
Speaker 4 (10:17):
If you're making like a big old platter of nachos,
you're still using to take forever, you know, velvita. But
if you're doing each little one or you want to
make something funny.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
Not to be Debbie Downer, but is it easy to clean?
Speaker 4 (10:27):
Ooh no, wonder probably not.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
No, it's not you he me know what David wants
for Christmas.
Speaker 4 (10:32):
That's right. We got links for all of these uh
at Murphy Salmon Jodi dot com.
Speaker 10 (10:36):
Thank you for bringing or text us eight seven seven
three one oh four ms.
Speaker 2 (10:41):
Jay.
Speaker 3 (10:42):
More of your traditions, what you specifically look forward to
with your family. You know, you're the only one family
in the world doing this for Christmas. Michael, You're next.
No matter what changes during the holidays, which one thing
you look forward to is your traditions, the things that
you look for to doing every year. It's what makes
the holiday special, truly, you know, it's not the other stuff,
(11:04):
it's what you do specifically with your family. So we
want to hear about those. Eight seven seven three one
zero four, Ms J.
Speaker 1 (11:12):
Michael, it's yours.
Speaker 11 (11:14):
My wife and I we started this tradition a couple
of years ago, which heart side of the family's been
known it for a long time, but we took it
to my family too. Whenever we wake up on Christmas
morning at our different family and houses, we start out
kind of early and we make a big breakfast and
then we do a special recipe that her mom came
up with for a version of kicky buns or some
(11:35):
people on guests call it monkey bread. Yes, and we
really enjoy that. We all get together and go in
the kitchen and all kitchen a little bit. So it's
really fun.
Speaker 2 (11:46):
Yeah, because you do.
Speaker 3 (11:47):
It all together and that's rare, Like families don't necessarily
get in the kitchen together except during the holidays.
Speaker 11 (11:53):
It's one time that we're all together and we can,
you know, just just really enjoy it. And nobody's working,
so we all have a day or two to just relax. Yeah,
you know, catch up.
Speaker 3 (12:03):
How do you guys make your monkey bread like from
scratch or do you use dough that's already made?
Speaker 10 (12:09):
No?
Speaker 11 (12:09):
Will you make everything that we do for Christmas? And
thanks given, we make some scratch. Wow, that's for cranberry salt.
Speaker 2 (12:16):
Oh yeah, that has to be in the can.
Speaker 11 (12:19):
We don't believe in anything, but can granberry salt me too.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
I'm in love with it. Thank you, Michael. That's a
good one.
Speaker 1 (12:27):
Yeah, we appreciate the call. You know, my grandmother used
to make a breakfast roll that's not really the it's
not quite as sweet as what monkey bread would be,
the sticky buns and all that kind of stuff, right,
but that was a family tradition. I had to think
why because when Michael was talking about the family getting
together for breakfast, always remember my grandmother, you know, she
was always up before everybody else, cooking everything.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
Christmas rolls.
Speaker 1 (12:46):
Yeah, she called them Christmas rolls because that was the morning.
Every other day we were spending the night, she would
be cooking breakfast. But Christmas morning it was all about
getting to the presence quickly. So the Christmas rolls were
always sitting there and ready, you haven't made those yet, Jody,
to make them, but I don't.
Speaker 4 (13:01):
Have the get on it.
Speaker 3 (13:02):
Wait, I don't have the recipe, and I feel like,
also if she makes them, I don't she needs.
Speaker 2 (13:07):
I don't want to take that.
Speaker 1 (13:08):
That's her thing. But I'm glad that somebody's keeping that
tradition alive because that really was my grandmother's thing. If
you don't keep them alive, then they yeah away.
Speaker 3 (13:15):
And sometimes you got to learn and did she leave
up specific recipe or does your sister have to kind
of work it?
Speaker 1 (13:21):
That's in the cookbook Very Good. It's actually called breakfast role.
She would make them for vacations and all that, but
we called them Christmas roles just because that's what we
associated with Mary.
Speaker 4 (13:29):
Maybe you can pick up your grandma's ginger snap recipe.
Speaker 1 (13:33):
You know what. That's a good idea because.
Speaker 2 (13:34):
They're not too crunchy, they're chewy like you like.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
Yeah, I could be the ginger snap King at Christmas King?
Speaker 2 (13:39):
Wow, not just man King? Did you get that coming up? Hollywood?
Speaker 3 (13:45):
It's the happiest story ever from with Harry planning his
royal wedding.
Speaker 2 (13:51):
Judy's Hollywood outside.
Speaker 3 (13:53):
Certain stories just make me smile, and here's one that
does make me smile. I don't know if it does
it for you guys, but it's Harry has asked his
big brother to be his best man. And I guess no.
I mean when William married Kate Middleton, of course Harry
was the best man. Do you remember watching that wedding.
(14:13):
We watched it here, Remember we were at the station
and I was completely distracted.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
It was so beautiful and cool.
Speaker 3 (14:20):
Okay, So, and Harry has several close guy friends, but
there's absolutely nobody else to ask. William, you know, takes
the top spot there. William has been very.
Speaker 4 (14:29):
Bachelor, probably kind of figure for Harry.
Speaker 2 (14:33):
It's Harry.
Speaker 3 (14:34):
Yeah, actually, I think he has done so much partying
and he's so happy right now. I can't imagine him
doing a Vegas style bachelor party. But you're not the
first person to make that joke in the media, so
way to go for that. We've been told that William's children,
(14:55):
Charlotte and George will likely be a part of the
ceremonial to know that, and there's no word on who
Megan Markele has requested yet as bridesmaids, but she'll have
to bring some bridesmaids to match Harry's friends.
Speaker 2 (15:07):
Her whole life changes.
Speaker 4 (15:09):
You imagine that.
Speaker 9 (15:12):
From the US.
Speaker 4 (15:12):
Yeah, it's like we get to stand with the princess.
Speaker 3 (15:15):
Yeah, they have to even just to be a bridesmaid
of Megan Markele. Your life has to change for this
because there's so much scrutiny and you'll be under security.
It's not like being in a wedding party of someone else,
of the girl you went to high school with. It's
just not Which is what will happen to Megan Markell.
Her whole life will change in that she loses She
(15:35):
gains royalty and Harry and happiness hopefully in a life
of service, but she loses privacy really for the rest
of her life.
Speaker 4 (15:46):
And she believes this.
Speaker 2 (15:47):
British citizens, She certainly does.
Speaker 3 (15:49):
And it's almost public property, you know, her life at
least anyway. That sounds harsh to say, but that's what
they say across the pond. I want to tell you
this too. I've got some Star Trek news that's odd.
I'll have you scratching your head. Hey, you know JJ
Abrams is set to do another Star Trek movie.
Speaker 4 (16:06):
Those movies pretty good.
Speaker 3 (16:08):
Everybody loves that. Guess who's gonna work with him? Filmmaker
Quentin Tarantino. That you have plans to bring sit in
a writer's room and do the next one together. Quentin
approach JJ Abrams about this instead. I have ideas. Here's
what I want, Oh that it'll be cool. We just
don't want to make it full fiction. E don't want
to go there with it all right, Coming up in
(16:29):
your next Hollywood Outsider this morning around seven fifty five,
why the Queen biopic has been shut down for now?
Speaker 2 (16:37):
Murphy, Sam and Jody your Hollywood cider.
Speaker 1 (16:44):
Getting you all set for the holiday season at Murphy
Salmon Jody dot Com. Twelve Dips of Christmas. That's their
gifted Eday idea that's there.
Speaker 3 (16:51):
Next week we're gonna launch Make It, Take It. And
you know what, if you want to send us what
you make and take for gifts, like from your kitchen
or even spa stuff, you can make it and take that,
send them to us at Murphy Salmon Jody dot com. Okay,
a lot of goodies for you. Fun Fun producer David
walked in here today and you know, I had that
little moment of why did you shave your beard?
Speaker 2 (17:12):
Your beard is your power?
Speaker 11 (17:14):
Gee?
Speaker 2 (17:14):
Thanks well.
Speaker 1 (17:16):
Jody always reacts that way when there's a facial hair change.
The very first time that I shaved the mustache before
I grew the you know, the Leo, the Leonardo DiCaprio
look that I have.
Speaker 3 (17:26):
Today that I love that you call it that.
Speaker 1 (17:29):
Anyway, I feel better callow that. But anyway, first time
I shaved a mustache and I walked out in the
living room, Jody screamed literally because I looked different, a
different person. So just so that you know, when somebody
walks in and you usually are rocking the beard mustache,
I wasn't here whenever you walked in for her to scream.
Speaker 2 (17:44):
Well, she just kind of what did you do to do?
I'm like geez, sorry, I must know it's okay, idious
right now? You look fine. I went I was supposed
to just trim up my beard.
Speaker 7 (17:54):
It was like Friday afternoon, and then I just the
guard just wasn't set up right, I guess. And when
I just pushed it against my face, the guard just
went straight down and so it's got really close.
Speaker 2 (18:06):
You have to do it then, yeah, it's all I'm not.
Speaker 7 (18:09):
Yeah, I just messed up. So I was like, well,
I guess I'm shaving the rest of the beard.
Speaker 2 (18:12):
Well, the good news for you. Do you like the
beer yourself? You like it better?
Speaker 7 (18:16):
My face actually does steel colder like it's feel the
breeze on it. Facial Well, you can grow it in
like a day.
Speaker 2 (18:22):
I'm not worried about it. It's so funny.
Speaker 3 (18:24):
We need to take a picture of you every day
this week and show where you you are by Friday. Right,
let's start today is November. Beard took you all all
November to grow that.
Speaker 4 (18:36):
I actually did trim it so it does look more
uh clean, But the leo look, look, that's the thing.
A beard is kind of like hair on top of
your head. Either you're going to grow it or you
better trim it because that in between look looks you
don't look kept.
Speaker 2 (18:51):
If you don't trim it, it's like you don't care, right.
Speaker 1 (18:54):
And so that's why I have to do that mine
every day, the same thing using the guard like you know,
David said guard.
Speaker 2 (18:59):
It's called the guard little dot.
Speaker 4 (19:01):
You put on the razor so you can get.
Speaker 2 (19:02):
A different I see, okay, I didn't.
Speaker 4 (19:04):
One of them, says Leo.
Speaker 10 (19:06):
Right right cool or text us eight seven seven three
one oh four msj are.
Speaker 2 (19:13):
You coming up? Your email?
Speaker 3 (19:14):
Answered in our producer's mail bag. So what do we
have on the way David?
Speaker 7 (19:17):
Yes, I have more suggestions of my fooiler dilemma and
what I should do with all the money that my
dad wants to give me for it.
Speaker 2 (19:23):
Oh that's cool.
Speaker 3 (19:23):
I'm also coming up next more of your favorite Christmas
traditions that you do with your family, specific to your family.
Speaker 2 (19:30):
Whitney, You're next.
Speaker 1 (19:34):
So you don't ever really miss a thing when you
subscribe to the Murphy, Sam and Jody podcast. Earlier today,
Sam gave us our gift today idea for Today, which
really cool because it's ideas right. It's a gift for
you know, somebody who's got a sense of humor, quarky,
it's weird, odd gifts, you know, dogging suffers and some
just some cool ideas. If you want to go that path,
check it out at Murphy Salmon Jody dot com.
Speaker 2 (19:54):
You want to go weird.
Speaker 4 (19:55):
Oh yeah, I like them all.
Speaker 2 (19:57):
I know you do.
Speaker 3 (19:58):
Maybe we'll get you some of those actually already have
your guests. I'm realper excited.
Speaker 4 (20:02):
With the elements with the claws. You know what that
I'm with, David. I want the hot glue cheese gone
of course.
Speaker 3 (20:07):
Okay eight seven seven three one zero four six seven five.
Let us know what's specific. We're loving hearing about your traditions.
What specifically do you do in your family that you're
looking forward to?
Speaker 1 (20:19):
Whitney, You've got one.
Speaker 9 (20:21):
Yeah, So I started doing a Christmas East ten for
my son, similar to a Christy's Box, except the tin
is from my mother's tin collection when they used to
sell the candy in the individual Christmas tin. Yeah, and
so now he has Christmas pajamas and a Christmas movie
and stuff animal every year and the vintage Christmas tin.
Speaker 3 (20:44):
That's so cool? And does he put the jammies on
and then watch the movie.
Speaker 9 (20:49):
Well, we try that. But he's little. He's a copper
thus far, so usually there for Christmas.
Speaker 5 (20:54):
Morning when we're getting up.
Speaker 9 (20:55):
Right, kind of just cutey pajamas for the fixture.
Speaker 2 (20:58):
That's so cute, it's so storybook, you know.
Speaker 9 (21:02):
Yes, that's what i'd heard about the Christmas boxes people do.
And I said, how can I put a personal touch
on it?
Speaker 1 (21:08):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (21:09):
Very good? When Whitney, I love it. I love it?
Speaker 9 (21:12):
Well, thank you. I'm so excited to talk to you all.
I listen every morning. I enjoy your positive show every morning.
Speaker 11 (21:18):
For that.
Speaker 2 (21:19):
Can I ask you what movie you're putting in this year?
Speaker 9 (21:21):
Well, we're really pushing Polar Express.
Speaker 5 (21:23):
We're trying all in love with Coolar Express.
Speaker 9 (21:26):
Thus far, it's than anything Mickey Mouse Club House.
Speaker 2 (21:29):
Sure, Color Express. He's a little young. It might take
a little while for Parlor Express, but it'll happen, right,
it'll happen.
Speaker 9 (21:35):
That's what we're going for.
Speaker 2 (21:36):
YEA, well, cool, Thank you Whitney.
Speaker 3 (21:38):
All right, thank you.
Speaker 9 (21:39):
Having a merry Christmas.
Speaker 1 (21:40):
And you know, Polar Express was one of those that
our girls. I think Taylor was a little afraid of
it first because the animation is a little friend Tom.
Thanks Look when you get used to it.
Speaker 4 (21:48):
Well, yeah, coming why to the North Pole?
Speaker 2 (21:56):
But I'm always said come to the North Pole?
Speaker 7 (21:59):
All right.
Speaker 1 (21:59):
Love to hear from you eight seven seven three one
oh four MSJ.
Speaker 3 (22:02):
Reach out any time I comeing up next to your
email answered in our Producer's mail Bag.
Speaker 7 (22:06):
What's on the way, David, Yes, thanks to Jackie who
listens to the show and wrote in a great idea
that I think I'm going to take for what I'm
going to do with all the money I'm going to
get for selling my fooler.
Speaker 3 (22:15):
All right, Well, I'm hearing from you. Jump in anytime
and continue to tell us about your traditions eight seven
seven three one zero four MSJ. Or get us online
the Producer's mail.
Speaker 2 (22:27):
Bag, David.
Speaker 3 (22:28):
I know from our Facebook page you have some suggestions
of what you can do with this money. Your dad
is assistent on buying back a four wheeler from you
that he gave you years ago.
Speaker 1 (22:38):
Yeah, which is weird.
Speaker 7 (22:39):
It was weird because I didn't feel right taking the
money because like you already gave this as a gift
the fooler to me. So, but they're trying to buy
something back you've already bought. Has it already happened. He
gave you money and you gave him before. Wheel are
it is? It is happening, It's done. Okay, it's basically
just confirmed. He's like, it's like it's gonna Okay, that's
what's going to happen. But now I don't know what
to do with the money. So I've been asking around,
and we've got a bunch of great suggestions. Like somebody
(23:00):
wrote in saying that, you know, I should take him
on a trip or something, which is great, but he's
very stubborn, doesn't like to fly or anything, so that probably.
Speaker 2 (23:07):
Will really not your kind of trip. Then yeah, yeah, we.
Speaker 7 (23:10):
Had some other ones. Oh, I said I should donate
to his favorite charity, which I loved idea. I like
that idea because he's also, like I said, he's very
stubborn and he does not want to receive a gift himself.
But Jackie this morning wrote into the producer's mill bag
and she started suggesting that I do a you know,
start a college fund for my niece Olivia, and that
way that would actually be perfect because, like I said,
my dad doesn't like getting guests for himself. So I'm like,
(23:32):
you know what I'm gonna take your money and put
it's good use and that's for it. So I think
that's a really good one. Even had the charity one,
So those are my favorite. That is a good one
and that way. The charity one is great for him.
Speaker 3 (23:44):
The college fund one is great for Olivia's parents, your
sister and brother in law, and him because he's in
on that. Yeah, he's on the ground floor of that
without even realizing it.
Speaker 4 (23:54):
I guess if you Olivia doesn't go to college in
seventeen years, reverts back to you, right, guess.
Speaker 1 (24:02):
It is in the giving.
Speaker 7 (24:05):
Okay, And Jody Jerry needs your help when biting his
wife for Christmas gifts. Okay, he says. First of all,
you guys are the best. Thank you, Jerry, He says,
my wife really wants a new scent for Christmas, and
I heard you'll talking about perfumes and smells on the
show before. Can you please help me out and give
me any suggestions you might have.
Speaker 3 (24:22):
If you really want to get her a new scent,
go pick out something that you like, but make sure
it's with the whatever side Note that please go back
and exchange it. Get a gift receipt if you don't
love it. You go exchange it if you really want
her to open a new fragrance day of But when
you give a fragrance to a woman, here's my favorite thing.
Don't just give the fragrance, give like the lotion with
(24:44):
it too. Like I like that the gift set I
kind of did. Have you never told me that, Joe?
Speaker 11 (24:49):
Do you?
Speaker 2 (24:49):
Oh that's okay.
Speaker 3 (24:50):
I'm just saying you can if you want to up
at more than one bottle. There are like bubble bats
and lotions and those are fabu.
Speaker 1 (24:56):
Thus all right, Love to hear from you anytime eight
seven seven three one oh four Jay, or you can
reach out to us on Facebook.
Speaker 2 (25:02):
Oh yeah, Sam has music.
Speaker 4 (25:04):
News a scary holiday for Kelly Clarkson and her family.
Speaker 2 (25:07):
The other day, Sam's got music News.
Speaker 4 (25:12):
Kind of a scary Christmas. Their holiday season right now
for Kelly Clarkson and her family.
Speaker 1 (25:17):
What's going on?
Speaker 4 (25:19):
She's been robbed? Really yeah. The family was away doing
something and somebody broke into their house and all she says,
they ransacked the whole house. Now they have a obviously,
since I guess when you reach that level, you have
a whole closed close circuit TV system in the house. Yeah,
so she has the video of the people breaking into
the house and they destroyed her kid's room, like the
real room and the closet and everything, and their other
(25:40):
rooms in the house have been destroyed. They don't know
who it is. They've turned the video over to the cops,
so hopefully, you know, they can find out who this is.
And she said she's been robbed before, but this one
kind of really stresses her out because it involved her
kids in the kid's room.
Speaker 3 (25:55):
She also said one of the things that I read,
which was cool, she said what was taking was stuff
that didn't matter now material stuff, so it didn't matter
to him. What matters that they weren't there for it.
Speaker 4 (26:04):
So we'll have to see if that comes about and
I find the people. Also to Ed Sheeran and Beyonce
are working together now now you know Ed Sheeron, I
think you like this song too, Jody. It's called Perfect.
He got into Beyonce, got in touch with him over
the summer when he was about to put his album
out and said, hey, I love that song Perfect. Can
we collaborate on it? And he's like, well sure. The
(26:24):
problem he had with was trying to get back in
touch with Beyonce because he tells us this little inside information.
She changes out her email every other week and phone
number and phone number yeah so oh.
Speaker 1 (26:35):
Really so that people can't get ahold of it.
Speaker 4 (26:38):
It took him a while. It took him from May
to September to finally nail her down. She came in
the studio, laid down her vocals, and she said she
knocked it all out in one take. Here's Perfect with
Ed Sheeran and Beyonce.
Speaker 5 (26:49):
Heay, cue.
Speaker 2 (27:04):
The gorgeous song with or with that? Like you know
do it?
Speaker 3 (27:07):
I didn't think of that. But when Beyonce calls you
and says can we sing together? I guess you say.
Speaker 1 (27:11):
Yeah, I probably do yes.
Speaker 4 (27:12):
I guess when Beyonce calls you, you answer the phone
because you're never going to track her down, right, I'm
done for doing anybody that trains it changes things out
like that?
Speaker 1 (27:20):
Baby? Did you just get jay Z's number hold on
to it to communicate through you thought.
Speaker 4 (27:26):
Find chance of doing that?
Speaker 2 (27:27):
Murphy right, that's even more tough.
Speaker 4 (27:29):
Probably anyway, you can check out Perfect with Beyonce, but
with just Ed Shearon or the Beyonce Ed Sheeron version
of Perfect it's all over the place right now.
Speaker 10 (27:37):
Murphy Music News coming up.
Speaker 3 (27:40):
More of your favorite Christmas traditions, the things that you
specifically do in your family. This is what Christmas really is,
This is what you actually look forward to. What do
you realize it or not?
Speaker 10 (27:49):
So?
Speaker 3 (27:49):
Eight seven seven three one zero four ms J Denise,
You're up next.
Speaker 2 (27:57):
Every single day between now and Christmas.
Speaker 3 (27:58):
Another gift today, I do, and sometimes it's more than one,
like what Sam did earlier, like a bunch of weird,
odd gifts.
Speaker 1 (28:04):
I love that though. See these are the kind of
gifts that Sam should be suggesting. They're kind of like whimsical,
you know, for people that you know that we'll get
a kick out of it. Like the oven mits with
the clause at the end.
Speaker 9 (28:13):
Ah.
Speaker 1 (28:13):
Yeah, look I mean that to me. That's me because
I would wait for one of the kids to walk
in with their phone to take a video feeder.
Speaker 9 (28:19):
Ah.
Speaker 2 (28:20):
One of my friends gave me a wonder Woman apron one.
Speaker 4 (28:23):
See that's the kind of thing.
Speaker 3 (28:25):
Dudy gave me that a hot I love that apron too, Yes,
you do, as long as you're wearing something under it.
Speaker 1 (28:30):
You haven't worn that one in a while.
Speaker 2 (28:32):
I haven't felt like wonder woman in a while.
Speaker 1 (28:33):
Maybe it's time to break it out.
Speaker 2 (28:35):
Maybe it is okay, so go.
Speaker 3 (28:36):
Online to get those ideas of gift today and jump
in anytime. Eight seven seven three one zero four msj.
Speaker 1 (28:43):
Yeah, we love to hear from you. What's going on, Denise.
Speaker 5 (28:46):
I wanted to share a little bit of my Christmas tradition. Okay,
my daughter is twenty four, and about twenty years ago
we started watching How the Grit Sole Christmas? Yeah person
with Jim Carrey. Yeah, and we also found a version
of It's called who Villopoly. It's like Monopoly, but it's
(29:07):
based around who's So it's been something we've done. And Jody,
your your little moment a moment ago when you were
thinking about how tough it might be when your girls
grow up. Well that kind of got me because this
is the last Christmas I'll get to spend with my
little girl for a few years. Yeah, she's married and
(29:29):
her husband's in the military, so this will be the
last Christmas I get to have her at home for
a while. So there's some bitter sweet going on, And
of course I'm glad we have that little tradition that
we all enjoy but I know I'm gonna miss her,
no kidding.
Speaker 2 (29:42):
Have you done it yet? Have you played?
Speaker 5 (29:46):
Actually, our game night is this Friday, and you're having
about nine people over so we can all see who
can buy up the most presents in Christmas trees.
Speaker 2 (29:56):
And do you play first and and watch the movie
or vice versa.
Speaker 5 (30:02):
Well, we make it a game night sometime during the holidays,
but every Christmas Eve is when we watch the movie Nice.
Speaker 2 (30:08):
I love it, enjoy it.
Speaker 3 (30:10):
I'm sorry that things are changing, and I guess that's
very much part of it, you know.
Speaker 5 (30:14):
Yeah, it is. They grow up and they do, they
do go away sometimes.
Speaker 2 (30:18):
Yeah, I'm lucky.
Speaker 5 (30:19):
I want her to come back.
Speaker 2 (30:19):
I know she's got to.
Speaker 3 (30:20):
Live her life, but she'll come back. You know, she'll
come back, Yes, ma'am.
Speaker 2 (30:24):
Thank you, Denise, I know.
Speaker 5 (30:25):
Do y'all have a great day. I enjoyed the show
very much.
Speaker 1 (30:28):
Thank you, Denise. We appreciate the phone call. Love hearing
from me anytime at eight seven seven three one oh
four MSG.
Speaker 2 (30:33):
Coming out Hollywood.
Speaker 3 (30:37):
Why a biopick that we all really want to see
has been put on hold again?
Speaker 2 (30:41):
That's next.
Speaker 8 (30:44):
Jody's Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 3 (30:46):
You know, I know, we've been looking forward to this
Queen bio pick that has been in the works for years. Yeah,
but it finally got underway filming this year.
Speaker 4 (30:56):
Right, they finally found their at lead actor and Freddie Mercer.
Speaker 3 (31:00):
It's actor Raymie mallick. I hope I said his name correctly.
He was on the road, mister Robot, and he looks
and he's been from what we've seen like little previews,
it looks incredible and it's a biopic.
Speaker 2 (31:12):
I really want to see.
Speaker 4 (31:15):
Well, it's being run I guess kind of overseen by
the band, so you know it's going to be legit
right and authentic.
Speaker 3 (31:20):
So the director, Brian Singer, though, has been fired, so
the production has been halted for now, and he is
pretty upset about.
Speaker 2 (31:29):
And his name is Brian Singer.
Speaker 3 (31:31):
He's saying that, look, he had to take some time
off to deal with some pressing family matters and to
care for an aging parent. But he says the studio
was unwilling to accommodate commodate me and terminated my services.
Now everybody else on the set they're singing a different
song basically, even the lead actor. Rami said that Brian
Singer was difficult to work with, and he you know,
(31:52):
would leave them waiting for him for hours on the set,
and so it's a SE's not a good partying.
Speaker 4 (31:57):
That's the stuff I've heard. He's difficult with everybody. He
didn't he didn't show up for a number of right
days without even telling people. Look, I got to take
care of family business.
Speaker 3 (32:06):
Right And the studio is every studio. Anytime a project
like this is made, there's a time frame. You know,
money is being lost every moment that you're not filming
sort of a thing. So they're under a time crunch
right now to complete it before complete filming before Christmas.
Speaker 2 (32:21):
And now they don't have a director.
Speaker 3 (32:22):
So what they're doing right now is figuring out and
calling and looking out for a director.
Speaker 2 (32:27):
Hey, Ron Howard should be avain.
Speaker 4 (32:30):
You finish off the Jones movie.
Speaker 2 (32:32):
Yeah, so look for that.
Speaker 3 (32:34):
Look for that to be hopefully wrapped up soon because
I really want to see that movie next year. Another
weird thing in entertainment you'll get to see next year
is Netflix House of Cards. They're doing the eight episode
final season without Kevin Spacey. Yeah, okay, well he had
been let go of course. When I was flipping around
Netflix the other day. I was kind of even surprised
(32:54):
to see the show still there, but I guess for
fans of the show, it's still there, right, and they're
gonna wrap it up. Robin I will headline the show. Obviously,
They've got some other stories they need to tie up,
and so they are gonna start filming right after the
holidays at the first of the year to wrap that
up and then it will be done all right. Coming
up in your next Hollywood outside of This Morning, It's
a Happy Story. At eight thirty, Prince Harry makes some big,
(33:17):
big decisions about his wedding day.
Speaker 8 (33:19):
Murphy, Sam, and Jody, you are a Hollywood eler.
Speaker 1 (33:25):
You get stuck for an idea anytime during the holiday season,
just bookmark Murphy Salmon Jody dot com. We got the
twelve Dips of Christmas, perfect for parties. Jody's gonna do
making or take it next week, which is right where
you can make it.
Speaker 2 (33:36):
Make it taken?
Speaker 1 (33:37):
Or what did I say?
Speaker 3 (33:38):
You make it at home and then you take it
to how good it is? You said make it or
take it?
Speaker 11 (33:44):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (33:44):
Okay, I got it, So it's really keep it or
take it after you make it? Yeah, I don't know.
I'm confused.
Speaker 11 (33:49):
Now.
Speaker 1 (33:49):
Hey, okay, so I talk of that yesterday I did.
Sam has another gift idea, gift to day idea coming up.
Speaker 2 (33:55):
Yes, you know, we're having a party at the house.
Speaker 4 (33:58):
Oh, I did not know.
Speaker 2 (33:59):
It's a family party.
Speaker 3 (34:00):
Sam family gathering in they's family. If you want to come,
you are invited. It is fine by me. I would,
in fact, everybody want to love close myself. In fact,
when we get together with big groups of people, people
always ask us about you, How Sam Where Sam?
Speaker 2 (34:16):
He's so funny kind.
Speaker 4 (34:18):
Of a deal.
Speaker 1 (34:20):
Yeah, that's right.
Speaker 3 (34:21):
So anyway, this party is not this coming weekend but
next weekend. And I think I don't have a head
count yet because your cousin Katie has helped me put
it all together. But I think it's a lot twenty
between twenty twenty five people, possibly.
Speaker 1 (34:33):
If other families run into this. This is my extended family,
and so since my grandmother passed, it was just all
on my father's side. So it's a family that's kind
of like spread out all over the place. Although we're
almost in the same basic geographic area. Everybody's lives are
busy right out, so it's very, very difficult to pull
everybody together.
Speaker 4 (34:53):
And look, we did it last yearbody he talks to
each other, except.
Speaker 3 (34:57):
Last year for the first time at your cousin Katie's house.
So we I want to do it again. It's the
cousin get together. We did the whole We did the
whole invitation with a picture of Heidi the grandmother on
the invitation.
Speaker 2 (35:07):
It's very cute. So I like, we're hosting everybody at
our house.
Speaker 3 (35:11):
I'm making a main dish and then everybody's supposed to
bring their favorite Heidi recipe, like Murphy's probably gonna make
her cheese straws.
Speaker 2 (35:17):
She was the cook.
Speaker 3 (35:19):
But I'm doing a big red sauce that day. But
I am planning ahead. I did a red sauce this
weekend without meat, just the sauce, and I froze it.
I'm gonna do another one this weekend and freeze it. Wow,
And then the day before I'll make a third one,
and then the day of we'll do all the meat
and put it in the sauce boom.
Speaker 1 (35:39):
Give it away. All your culinary secrets, there are you,
Jodie planning?
Speaker 4 (35:42):
It's a lot.
Speaker 3 (35:44):
It's a lot of red gravy and it's good and
it freezes beautifully anyway, So I'm super ready. And it
takes you a long time of hosting parties to understand
these tricks, you know.
Speaker 1 (35:54):
I'm glad you've got it together because you know me.
Speaker 2 (35:56):
You're in charge of the coffee.
Speaker 1 (35:57):
You left it up to me, it would be delivered
and paid for it, right, Yes.
Speaker 2 (36:01):
Coming up with Murphy, Sam and Jody.
Speaker 3 (36:02):
All Right, more Gift Today ideas from Sam this time
these are the odd fun funnier yet Yes, coming up
next though your email answered in our producer's mail bag, right, David.
Speaker 7 (36:11):
Well Jody last week when you came back from your
two day sickness relief, Yeah, you had a lot to
say about the whole matt Lower situation, and you know
women in the workforce and how things would be done.
Speaker 2 (36:20):
And we have a lot of great comments that you
should hear.
Speaker 1 (36:25):
But you get a chance share your holiday traditions with us,
you know, the ones that are unique and very special
to your family, the ones you look forward to the most.
On our Facebook page, or you can call us at
eight seven seven three one oh four msj.
Speaker 2 (36:36):
We love to hear from you. Let's jump in now
to our Facebook page.
Speaker 8 (36:39):
It's shine for the producer's nailed.
Speaker 2 (36:41):
David, what's in your bag right now?
Speaker 7 (36:43):
Well, Jody, last week when you came back to work
from the after you're sick, there's a lot that was
going on, you know, the whole Matt Lower situation.
Speaker 2 (36:49):
Yeah, it works.
Speaker 7 (36:50):
The day it happened, I was so you definitely had to,
you know, and after the show podcast you had a
lot to say, and it was one of my favorite
podcasts that we ever had. In my opinion, it was
just really good everything that you had to say about it,
and a lot of our listeners that you know, subscribe
to our podcast, they well, I.
Speaker 3 (37:04):
Think one of the main things we had talked about
was that Murphy and Sam during all these you know,
allegations and things that have come out about a lot
of famous people in the workplace, you guys have been
surprised and disappointed. I've been disappointed, but not as surprised
maybe as a woman in the workplace.
Speaker 4 (37:20):
There's certain people when it comes out about them, it's like, yeah,
they were kind of shifty. But other people, when it
comes out that they did something or it's alleged, you
go really because their public persona, they don't portray themselves
that way publicly, of course.
Speaker 2 (37:35):
So what are we having in the mail bag?
Speaker 7 (37:36):
Well, TD says times are changing and women are finding
it their stronger voice. It only takes one person to
speak up. It's like when you raise your hand in
class or in church. You don't want to be the
first to do it, but when one goes up, they
all go up.
Speaker 2 (37:51):
Yeah, it's strengthen numbers for sure. With a lot of
these allegations.
Speaker 3 (37:53):
And the thing about it is, and you're gonna you
know an NBC has launched an investigation into all of
the Matt Lower allegations. You're gonna you watch, You're gonna
find out everybody on that set and knew at least
some things, knew at least that there was that behavior.
Speaker 2 (38:08):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (38:09):
You know he was there for twenty years. He didn't
just start doing this at the Sochi Olympics.
Speaker 2 (38:15):
You know, it's not likely, No, it's not likely.
Speaker 7 (38:18):
And Gay says kudos to the whistleblowers for they are
paving a nicer road to travel on for the present
and future female employees. Sexual harassment in or away from
the job site needs to end.
Speaker 3 (38:29):
Now makes me feel better about like with all this
light you know, on this issue for our girls growing
up going into the workforce in a handful of years,
that things should be better for them, should.
Speaker 1 (38:42):
Be So in case you missed it, you can subscribe

Speaker 4 (39:21):
I mean, if you're used to giving the traditional gifts
for somebody this Christmas, this is for somebody that has
a good sense of humor or they're you're just looking
for something quirky, okay, kind of like at the White
Elephant parties.
Speaker 2 (39:30):
You know it's a quirky person.
Speaker 4 (39:32):
Yeah, and they would appreciate.
Speaker 1 (39:33):
It sometimes those make good stocking stuffers.
Speaker 4 (39:35):
Too, And looking at all of these, I would appreciate
any of these. I'll save the best one for last though.
Speaker 2 (39:40):
Is it Star Wars.
Speaker 4 (39:41):
No, it's not nice. I showed it to producer David
and he wants one. Now I do care for him.
The magic wand Salt and Pepper shaker. Now it's you
got a white one and a black one. It's got
a wand and at the end of it as a star.
And so when you fill it up the stars where
it's the holes are so you can shake the wind
and that's where your salt and pepper come out. Just
don't throw in anybody's eye.
Speaker 1 (40:02):
Well, are something that fun you're likely to oversalt? Yeah,
you know, because you're gonna have use it for everything. Okay,
don't give that one to the kids.
Speaker 4 (40:10):
The animal claw of in mits traditional myths, but they
have paws, you know, the nails on them.
Speaker 11 (40:16):
So they look like.
Speaker 3 (40:18):
I'm not I'm not into the quirky stuff for my
kitchen or whatnot, but that I would do.
Speaker 4 (40:23):
Yeah, we have, and I think we've done this one
in the past. It's the bicycle pizza cutter. Do you
know how pizza cutters have the metal wheel, yeah, and
they handle one metal wheel in the handle. Well, this
is two metal wheels, like bicycle wheels, and the whole
apparatus looks like it's a bicycle. So you grab it
by the seat and you push it.
Speaker 2 (40:40):
And can you put Barbie on top of it?
Speaker 4 (40:44):
Yeah, but she'd probably fall off or not if.
Speaker 3 (40:46):
You hold it fall and we're gonna go bicycle pizza cutter.
We need to bring Barbie.
Speaker 1 (40:51):
It sounds like an Instagram story to me.
Speaker 4 (40:53):
And by the way, none of these are super expensive.
I mean you're talking fifty dollars their last Now here's
the best one. Awesome, awesome, awesome. You know what a
glue gun is right for your craft products? A hot
glue gun. Yeah, this is the hot glue cheese gun.
So wait, you put like cheese sticks in it. You
put a cheese stick in it. And let's say you're
making nachos. So you got all your stuff on an
(41:14):
individual nacho. You grab your hot glue cheese gun. One
nacho down, two nachos down, and you can individually make
your own nacho.
Speaker 2 (41:22):
This is what producer David wants.
Speaker 4 (41:24):
Yeah. I showed him the picture of this and he's like,
oh my god, I need that.
Speaker 2 (41:29):
Okay, so you put cheese sticks in it.
Speaker 4 (41:31):
Like so, if you're making like a big old platter
of nachos, you're still using forever, you know, Velveta. But
if you're doing each little one, or you want to
make something funny.
Speaker 1 (41:39):
Not to be Debbie Downer, but is it easy to clean?
Speaker 2 (41:42):
Ooh no, probably not. No, it's not. You know what
David wants for Christmas? That's right coming out Hollywood. You
love this news.
Speaker 3 (41:51):
From across the pond, Prince Harry makes some wedding plans.
Speaker 1 (41:58):
If you were to pick one place where you're going
to get in a weird, odd, or sometimes uncomfortable conversation,
where is it going to be?
Speaker 4 (42:04):
The bathrooms?
Speaker 1 (42:05):
Okay, yes, that's true, that's not what I was thinking. Yes,
you're you're correct about that. That would be an odd place.
But on elevators, I mean, and when you get on
an elevator, just because you know, it's total strangers, different missions.
You never know where I don't know, and I do
like to strike up conversation in an elevator.
Speaker 2 (42:22):
I don't always have to.
Speaker 3 (42:23):
I'm fine with a little silence, but if someone strikes
it with me, I'm definitely on.
Speaker 1 (42:27):
But well, the other day, this is the first time
this has ever happened to me riding on an elevator.
I get in, you know, usually if you get in first,
she looks in the courtesy of a where you had it, I'll,
you know, punch the button for you, and so the
guy will the guy that gets on behind me. You know,
I said, where you're at it, He's like, wherever you're going? Fine?
Following me? Yeah, like weird, Yeah, well that's kind of weird.
(42:48):
It made me a little bit uncomfortable. It's like, okay,
why would you be going wherever I'm going? You know,
I'm like, yeah, so seriously, is there like a floor
that you want to go? No, wherever you're going, it's fine.
I'm like, okay, So, you know, I faced him the
whole time, but I realized when I finally looked at
his shirt he was he was wearing a maintenance shirt.
And the building has new managements.
Speaker 3 (43:09):
Like elevator maintenance. That would have made me wonder should
I be on this elevator?
Speaker 1 (43:13):
It was an elevator maintenance. Although I've had that same
thought before too. When you get on the when you
get on with the otis guy. What's wrong with this?
Speaker 2 (43:20):
Then let's see.
Speaker 3 (43:24):
We'll add this to music to your Music News today, Sam,
this is a crazy entertainment story that I'm bummed about. Okay,
we know that there is has been a Queen biopic
in the works for a long time, and this year
they finally got down to business filming it.
Speaker 4 (43:40):
Well, they finally found their actor, Ramon Maylek from.
Speaker 3 (43:44):
Mister Robot to play Freddie Mercury. And we know they've
recreated like the scenes from Live Aid and he looks
like Freddy and he's a great actor.
Speaker 2 (43:52):
So I'm super excited about that.
Speaker 4 (43:53):
Have you seen the videos of these scenes from Live Aid?
Speaker 2 (43:56):
Yes, you showed them to me, Sam. It's unblievable.
Speaker 3 (43:58):
And we know the band, the remaining members of the
band Queen are the ones who are kind of steering
this project, so it's going to be so authentic. I'm
super excited about it. But here's the glitch. They were
supposed to be done filming by Christmas. The director though,
has been fired. His name is Brian Singer, and he's saying, look,
he's blaming the studio. He's saying they're being callous. I
(44:20):
asked for some time off to deal with some pressing
health concerns for one of my parents, and the studio
is not willing to accommodate me and terminated me instead.
Now it's he said, they said, because the studio and
even some of the actors on the set, including Raymy Malik,
says that he's difficult to work with and he'll frequently
just not show up, be completely absent without notice. And
(44:42):
that's hundreds of people on the set of a movie
waiting for one person. So the fact remains, they still
have to get this. They want to still get it
filmed and done before the end of the year director,
so they can then you know, edit and bring us
this movie, the Queen biopic.
Speaker 2 (44:58):
I'm ready for it, no matter who to exit.
Speaker 1 (45:03):
