Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to the Murphy Salmon Jody Daily Show podcast.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
House noises that you're not supposed to ignore, according to
home experts, like noises you hear in your house.
Speaker 3 (00:12):
I mean like escaping gas.
Speaker 4 (00:14):
Well, yeah, we're going to get there.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
One of them on the list, Murphy, is something that
we sort of have. We have some sort of weird
noise in the family room bathroom. You know, it sounds
and you told me it sounded like Rudolph the Red
Nose reindeer, right, yeah, And now every time I get
to the bathroom and I'm thinking, yeah, it is Rudolph, Well.
Speaker 1 (00:35):
It's yeah, it's when you flush the toilet it goes.
Speaker 2 (00:39):
Yeah, well not that bad, right, But anyway, gurgling toilets
are you know, like sounds like that from the bathroom
can be an indication of like a backup.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
Oh I understand that I've heard that before.
Speaker 4 (00:53):
Hey well hey, that's not a good thing though.
Speaker 1 (00:55):
Ignore. But usually by the time you hear it and
realize what it is, it's too late.
Speaker 3 (00:58):
But you're standing in water.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
You mentioned that last year at this time because I
remember thinking, oh, well it is almost Christmas.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
This is so the problem is inside the I don't
even know what you call the contraption.
Speaker 3 (01:10):
The tank in the tank, flapper is your flapper rotten?
Speaker 1 (01:13):
No, the flappers. The flapper is fine, the float is not.
It's the float that's making noise. And so as it
goes up and shuts the water off.
Speaker 3 (01:22):
Yeah, that's just a little squeaky noise going on. We're
sure that's fine then, Yes, I guess you could probably
spray it with some WD four down.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
Maybe we should. It makes me nervous now anyway. Okay,
so that's one I know, happy sound, Okay.
Speaker 1 (01:34):
Yeah, but at some point it's pretty noisy.
Speaker 4 (01:37):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (01:37):
Say the number one thing noise to not ignore in
a home be.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
Heaving dog.
Speaker 3 (01:43):
Or cat.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
That's just the one that makes you jump up no
matter what you do. No, this is about your home.
Like rushing water sounds not just signals a leak, but
water could be rushing through your pipes and it could
be you know, if you hear water sounds anywhere, investigate
because it could be really expensive or really problem.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
Unless it's the ones you're used to. Like you can
know if somebody turns the tub on from the other
side of the house where the water comes through the
pipes and you know, yeah, you're on demand water if
you've got the hot water heater thing like that, you know,
I mean all of that you'll hear. Yeah, but yes,
anything that's unusual or different, yeah, yeah, like clin sounds. Okay, Yeah,
(02:26):
that's the kind of stuff I don't icknowledge again.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
Whistling or hissing noises near gas based appliances super dangerous.
Never ever ever let that go like we did with
the Rudolph toilet. No, don't let it go, okay, And
buzzing from lights, which is some of it's a little
bit normal, but some of it working to electricians.
Speaker 4 (02:45):
Don't play around with it. Don't play around with electricity.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
Coming up at six point fifty, Jody has three things
to know and coming up.
Speaker 2 (02:51):
Next digging into your comments and emails, including someone who
has a problem Sam with your two ingredient cheesecake. Follow
us on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. We read and see
every single comment that rolls in there. Sam, quick, bring
everybody up to speed on your treat for football season
or just life in general.
Speaker 3 (03:11):
The Oreo cheesecake.
Speaker 4 (03:12):
The two ingredients.
Speaker 3 (03:13):
Yeah, it's a pack of Oreos and a tub of
sour cream.
Speaker 4 (03:17):
A small tub and you just.
Speaker 3 (03:19):
Either it get you if you want to do it fancy,
get your spoon and you know, spread it on the cookie,
or you do like I do and just dip the cookie.
Speaker 1 (03:25):
And I don't think there's anything fancy about it.
Speaker 3 (03:29):
And you it tastes like a sort of tastes like
a an Oreo cheesecake.
Speaker 4 (03:33):
It really does tastes like a cheesecake.
Speaker 1 (03:35):
It's a novelty. I see that as one of those
who put on the table for somebody to go you're
not gonna believe. And that's pretty much.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
Which is what Sam did one and it's like all
right next, Kimberly commented, Oh, I would never be able
to do this.
Speaker 4 (03:48):
I can't imagine. Now.
Speaker 2 (03:49):
I do make some awesome homemade cheesecakes, lol, what she.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
Means probably better in the real deal. Actually, Sam makes
screen cheesecake too.
Speaker 2 (03:57):
You do, But what I'm saying some people cannot imagine
and eating sour cream just like that you.
Speaker 1 (04:04):
Think about it. It's when it's mixed into something you
don't realize it's sour cream.
Speaker 2 (04:08):
No, yeah, my mom doesn't like sour cream or ranch
dressing or anything that's sour creamy.
Speaker 4 (04:13):
What you do something about it.
Speaker 3 (04:15):
You put it on the oreo, and then when you
eat it, put the oreo on the bottom so that
your taste buds on your tongue hit the trick it
out sweet first before it hits the sour.
Speaker 2 (04:23):
Yeah, anyway, I just wanted to share that with you.
Kimberly said, no, thanks. Cute idea, but no thanks. Monica
sent this in to our Facebook messenger. I love all
the talk about CBE Radio's Murphy. When I was a kid,
it seemed like everyone had one in their car. My
handle was Rosebud Murphy.
Speaker 4 (04:43):
Do you have a handle? Love you guys?
Speaker 1 (04:46):
You know what?
Speaker 4 (04:47):
Do you have a handle?
Speaker 2 (04:48):
That?
Speaker 1 (04:48):
I actually don't remember if I had a handle?
Speaker 3 (04:50):
Okay, well, now you can make one.
Speaker 1 (04:52):
Right, I can make one up. What should I call myself?
Speaker 2 (04:55):
Don't ask me, Let me ask this when you come
up with your handle. Is it supposed to be something
true to you close to your name or is it
supposed to be cool?
Speaker 3 (05:07):
It's whatever you want?
Speaker 4 (05:08):
Okay?
Speaker 3 (05:09):
Yeah, you could call yourself red?
Speaker 4 (05:11):
Okay, Okay, and then.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
Yeah, actually that's good point. Sam.
Speaker 4 (05:14):
You think there's not another Red on a CV somewhere, you're.
Speaker 1 (05:17):
Probably yeah, right, exactly.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
Well, thank you, Monica and Kimberly love having you along.
Coming up next, your Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 4 (05:26):

Speaker 4 (05:44):

Speaker 2 (05:45):
But of course everybody's wondering about season three because we
were told this was the introduction of the Samuel L.
Jackson character. So stay with us because he is in
the end of the trailer.
Speaker 1 (05:56):

Speaker 1 (06:02):
Is that a ghost?
Speaker 3 (06:04):
Well, I betty, No, nobody's seen that come.
Speaker 2 (06:09):
So this character, Russell Lee Washington Junior, is the character's
name played by Samuel L.
Speaker 4 (06:17):
Jackson, makes his debut in the shows.
Speaker 2 (06:20):
It's It's Tulsa King season three, okay, and it's episode nine,
so you got to get through almost toward the end
of the season before he's even introduced. And then after
that the character, Samuel Jackson's character will get his own series,

Speaker 1 (06:38):
Oh that's the goal, okayo.

and peanut butter cinnamon roll.
Speaker 4 (07:22):
That's odd?
Speaker 1 (07:23):
Does that sounds good?
Speaker 4 (07:25):
Peanut butter cinnamon rolls? Do they exist?
Speaker 1 (07:28):
It sounds like a weird combo to me, two things
that kind of don't go together.
Speaker 3 (07:33):
Each of these packs is going to have a QR
code on it and you can vote for your favorite
one because whichever one winds up the favorite is going
to be kept on.
Speaker 2 (07:40):
Oh they're doing the lace thing. Sorry, eminems, are they
in the same company.
Speaker 3 (07:45):
Who knows these days, everybody's remember they did this a
few years ago. They had the coffee flavors.
Speaker 2 (07:50):
Correct, they had a great flavor a few years ago,
and it was like a Halipino flavor. Yeah, and they
were only around for a little while, I think, right
before the pandemic.
Speaker 4 (08:00):
And then no more.
Speaker 1 (08:01):
And yeah, I didn't remember that.
Speaker 2 (08:05):
I do.
Speaker 4 (08:05):
I feel like they had peanuts inside the ment ones.
Speaker 1 (08:08):
Get happy for me Christmas time almost almost the season.
We've got to getrough pumpkin spice first.
Speaker 3 (08:12):
Yeah, of course we got pumpkin spy, pumpkin pie Eminem's too.
Speaker 1 (08:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (08:17):
The freeze dried candies, We're goodn't We have more that
are coming. If you remember last year the freeze driede
skills that were out, you know they were crunchy. I
like those.
Speaker 4 (08:26):
Well, we can't eat those, Okay, they feel strange on
the teeth.
Speaker 3 (08:30):
We're getting more. Sweet Tarts is going to have a
freeze dried version. Lemonhead and also Spree sometime this month.
Looked for those in the store. Okay, good to know.
Speaker 4 (08:38):
I got a friend and free who loves spree candy.
Speaker 3 (08:41):
Amazing what you can do with some liquid nitrogen airheads.
Airheads were always fun when I worked at the concession
stand in high school. Yeah, because it was always the
little kids who only had a quarter that could come
up in the corner head.
Speaker 2 (08:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (08:54):
Well, they are expanding into drinks. They're turning airhead flavors
into soft drinks.
Speaker 2 (08:58):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (08:58):
The first four we're gonna get raspberry, strawberry, orange, and watermelon.
Speaker 4 (09:03):
Do they have that sourness too?
Speaker 3 (09:05):
Probably? And I'm wondering just how sweet these things are
going to be.
Speaker 4 (09:08):
Because aarheads were sweet and sour.
Speaker 3 (09:11):
And some new cereals coming our way from General Mills
cinnamon toast crunch, Mexican style hot chocolate flavor. Oh yeah,
caramelk corn checks.
Speaker 1 (09:21):
Oh actually, that sounds good.
Speaker 2 (09:24):
It'll make its way into checks mix this season. All right,
coming up next, Three things to Know Today.
Speaker 4 (09:32):
Here's three things to Know.
Speaker 3 (09:33):
Today, brought to you by T Mobile.
Speaker 4 (09:35):
Number one.
Speaker 2 (09:35):
The powerball jackpot for Saturday's drawing will be at least
one point seven billion, with a b third largest in
US history. The one time payout would be seven hundred
and seventy million dollars.
Speaker 3 (09:49):
This heads up. If I'm not here Monday, got it?
Speaker 2 (09:52):
History has proven though there's a cost to pay when
you win the lottery. It's called microwave wealth. It brings
I don't know why that's the term, but it brings
the worst in friends, family, even neighbors who feel like
they deserve a slice of your pie. Number two, someone
online apparently may have leaked the new iPhone.
Speaker 4 (10:10):
We don't think it's ai.
Speaker 2 (10:12):
Apple's biggest redesign ever, is what it looks like the
seventeen Promax. There was a picture taken of it on
the factory floor and it started circulating. Giant new camera
panel on the back. It makes it look more like
the Google Pixel phones. It just looks gigantic. But Apple's
not set to really unveil it until next week on Tuesday.
Speaker 4 (10:32):
And number three.
Speaker 2 (10:34):
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell dropped the hint this week on
The Today Show that Taylor Swift is in the running
for the halftime show at Super Bowl sixty. Say we'd
love to have her play. She's special, She's welcome anytime.
They asked, have you talked to her reps? And he
said maybe. And we know that Jay Z and Rock
Nations consult for the Super Bowl halftime and that announcement
(10:56):
is imminent.
Speaker 4 (10:57):
You're up to date.
Speaker 1 (10:58):
Three things to know today.
Speaker 2 (11:02):
If you always like to have a show that you're watching,
you always like to have a book you're reading. If
you always want something to sort of be escaping into.
Speaker 4 (11:12):
It's good for you. It's normal. Isn't that great? So binging? Like,
what are you binging now? Sam on TV?
Speaker 3 (11:18):
Yes, but I haven't started second part yet that Wednesday
on Netflix.
Speaker 4 (11:23):
Yes, that's fun, right, Yeah. I want to see what
happens and God guys in this, in this next, God
guys in and.
Speaker 3 (11:28):
I want to see what episode she's in, what she does.
Speaker 1 (11:31):
Yay, I to go there too. Yeah, I haven't yet, JOJH.
Speaker 4 (11:34):
No, Murphy keeps asking me to watch Wednesday.
Speaker 2 (11:36):
But I'm in the middle of I'm reading a really
good book right now, which is kind of consider binging.
I'll explain it, and still binging a little bit of
Gray's Anatomy. When I'm you know, feeling like being in
the hospital.
Speaker 1 (11:47):
I'm ready to boaz the superficial temporal artery.
Speaker 3 (11:50):
That's when I walk outside in search of happiness.
Speaker 2 (11:52):
The brain surgery. Anyway, So the word is new University study.
If you binge shows often, if you read in longside.
It lowers your stress level and it you tend to
be more creative because you keep thinking about the stories.
Speaker 4 (12:08):
When you go back into your into regular life, they're
kind of with you. To me, the better.
Speaker 2 (12:13):
It is like if you're reading a really good book
you hate for it to be over. You're replaying that
kind of stuff in your head. It's called retrospective imaginative involvement.
Speaker 3 (12:23):
It's a fantasy. Who's going to use that word next?
Speaker 4 (12:27):
It's a way of you replay it.
Speaker 2 (12:29):
It stays with you and it stimulates the part of
your brain responsible for coping and well being.
Speaker 1 (12:35):
It's interesting. It sounds like a really fancy excuse to
just sit and watch TV all day.
Speaker 2 (12:39):
No, it's for if you did it all day long,
that would be That's the difference. It's different kind of
binging that's unhealthy. It's like if you have something that
you did you sort of dip it becomes your thing once,
right exactly.
Speaker 1 (12:51):
I mean like we did that with friends or whatever.
When you sustain it over a period of time and
it's your thing, Yeah, because you enjoy it. If you
actually refer to it as your show, yeah, it's probably
one that you would love.
Speaker 2 (13:02):
I always thought it was just I want something to
look forward to. That's entertainment. I feel like my day
is not complete without that. It's a preference. You don't
always get to have that when your parent.
Speaker 3 (13:13):
You know, a lot of those shows you don't have
to think about, you can just watch.
Speaker 2 (13:16):
Right So you know, it is good for you to
have something to escape into and that you check the
box that binging counts, and that also means like reading
a good book.
Speaker 4 (13:26):
It doesn't have to be ready.
Speaker 2 (13:28):
You know the next episode plays and yeah, you know
five four another hour.
Speaker 1 (13:32):
Come on coming up at seven fifty has three things
to know today coming up next.
Speaker 2 (13:36):
That we're gonna get a jump on Grateful Friday from Sheila.
You can join us so many ways eight seven seven
three one zero four MSJ. We really do love hearing
from you. Tomorrow is Grateful Friday, and you can jump
in on gratefuls anytime, and it's a good way for
us to learn about your life, not just celebrate what
(13:58):
you're grateful for, but tell us the little stories of you.
And Sheila has done just that, So I want to
get a jump on grateful Friday. She sent this into
Murphy Samonjody dot com. We live in a small town.
This Friday, my son kicks off his senior year in football,
first game of the season, the first of many last
(14:19):
to come this year. Oh yeah, I'm so grateful to
get to be his mom, and also grateful for our
small town and the small school he attends. Nothing better
than Friday night lights on a cool fall evening. I
am truly going to try to slow down and enjoy
his last year of high school while also being excited
for his future. Listen to you guys each day on
(14:41):
the way to work as a special education teacher.
Speaker 4 (14:44):
That's from Sheila.
Speaker 1 (14:45):
Thank you, Sheila.
Speaker 2 (14:46):
See you gave us a little bit of your life
right there, And I think that's the right way to
look at it when you're faced with the last you know,
and you're sort of, you know.
Speaker 4 (14:58):
Dealing with that, even grieving that.
Speaker 2 (14:59):
As you say, as a parent, you also have to
celebrate the positives because if you're if your kid's here,
you only go on all but you're not little anymore.
All But you know, it's not that all the good
stuff is in the past. It's just you're going to
miss those things. But you got to focus on the
forward stuff too, right, that you're just as excited.
Speaker 1 (15:18):
That's try They call it bittersweet. Yeah, but you know
that Friday night feeling, and that's a real thing, especially
in the fall. I still get excited about that. It's like,
get so pumped up about football season and everything, and.
Speaker 2 (15:28):
If your kid is part of it, you know you're
going You're going to every single game. You're gonna sit
in those bleachers no matter what, because that is fleeting.
Speaker 3 (15:36):
Well, my daughter Maddie was on the cheer squad at
high school, right, I mean she wasn't on the field,
but it's like I went to every game.
Speaker 4 (15:42):
Yeah, it was.
Speaker 3 (15:43):
It was fun to get back in that high school
football mode.
Speaker 4 (15:46):
Yeah. Yeah, Friday night feeling is a real thing, whether
you're however you're a part of it.
Speaker 1 (15:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (15:51):
So this is what we mean by grateful Friday. Shout
out the little things about your life that you're grateful for.
This is a big thing though. So I hope he
has a great last year and looking forward to all
the first coming.
Speaker 4 (16:02):
Thank you, Sheila.
Speaker 1 (16:03):
Coming up next, Jody has another Hollywood Outsider trending Now.
Speaker 2 (16:09):
Jody's Hollywood Outsider brought to you by Alta James Gunn,

social media and a lot of people are very happy.
The next Superman project is coming. It's going to be
called Man of Tomorrow and it is part of the
Superman saga.
Speaker 3 (16:33):
Uh huh.
Speaker 2 (16:33):
So it does mean the same players, the same players.
He said it won't be a direct sequel. It might
go along with the Man of Tomorrow animated movie from
twenty twenty. You know, there's a lot of different Superman
stories floating around and that's where he's going to take
it from. So we're going to get it though, in
theaters July of twenty twenty seven.
Speaker 3 (16:51):
So when do the Avengers get back together?
Speaker 2 (16:53):
Hey, don't don't confuse things, don't push things. Here's some
other really cool news. Maybe you didn't realize that, but
over at Prime Video, a Laura Croft reboot has been
in the works for a while from creator Fleabag creator
Phoebe waller Bridge. She's involved to develop it and they
now have their Laura Croft actress Sophie Turner, who you
(17:17):
may well know as Sansa Stark from Games I. How
to do to survive. I can see it right, Oh, definitely,
Laura Croft. It's gonna be funny and edgy and new,
but the same sort of you know, globe trotting events
or you expect from Laura Croft.
Speaker 4 (17:32):
Tomb Raider coming up with Murphy, Sam and Jodi get.
Speaker 2 (17:34):
Into the bottom of why Sam drove an hour to
give a stranger some cash. Sam, I'm so proud of
you for your Facebook Marketplace win of recent.
Speaker 4 (17:45):
Yeah, bring everybody up to speed in case they missed it.
Speaker 3 (17:48):
Bought a moony pizza oven you off of Facebook Facebook Marketplace.
I've been watching it for like a month or so.
I've wanted an oony pizza oven for a while and
I saw I started watching Facebook Marketplace, A saw a
couple on there was too slow missed out. This one
came up. I sent him an email right away.
Speaker 4 (18:04):
You didn't send it the stock message is this available?
Speaker 1 (18:08):
This question was in ib right, new in box?
Speaker 3 (18:11):
Yeah, new in box?
Speaker 1 (18:12):
Oh no?
Speaker 3 (18:13):
Actually, what I do is I go see who it is?
I say, hey, his name was Jeff, Hey, Jeff, is
this still available? And is there any way we can
meet halfway down? Of so he knows it's not.
Speaker 4 (18:22):
About and work it. Oh not a bot.
Speaker 2 (18:25):
Very good, So happy for you. So look, I have
a couple of questions about your oonie. I know you
made pizza in it the other day with your wait
wait what was that your response?
Speaker 3 (18:35):
I haven't Matt mastered getting it off the peel into
the oven yet, so it was kind of a crumbly.
Speaker 4 (18:39):
Pizza that'll come in time.
Speaker 2 (18:41):
I want everybody to know that Sam's homemade pizza dough
recipe is on our website at Murphy samon Jody dot com.
Speaker 4 (18:48):
And you don't have to have an oonie to use this.
Speaker 3 (18:50):
You can use this in your Yeah, make it in your.
Speaker 4 (18:52):
Kitchen, your oven whatever. I don't.
Speaker 2 (18:55):
I don't worry, Murphy. I'm not trying to buy an oonie.
I don't need a pizza oven in the backyard.
Speaker 4 (19:00):
But I looked it up.
Speaker 2 (19:02):
You can make a lot in an oonie. You think pizza,
but you can do steaks in it and roasted vegetables
and bread and all kinds of things.
Speaker 3 (19:09):
Yeah, there's a cookbook.
Speaker 1 (19:10):
Oh, I guess, because it really is kind of like
a double broiler for lack of a better term. I mean,
I know the flame comes from the back, but you're
heating the full space and super hot, right, I mean an.
Speaker 3 (19:22):
Indoor nine and fifty. Whoa, but they recommended seven to
fifty for the pizza and I had it. I have
one of those little Murphy I got to use the
yeah little thermometer. Okay, thermometer. Gun.
Speaker 1 (19:32):
It goes that high.
Speaker 3 (19:34):
Yeah, I was hitting between seven forty and seven sixty.
Speaker 1 (19:37):
Wow.
Speaker 4 (19:38):
Perfect, it goes that high.
Speaker 1 (19:40):
I didn't know. I want to use it for air conditions.
Speaker 3 (19:42):
I pointed it at the side.
Speaker 1 (19:44):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (19:46):
I just feel like the cook that you are now
that you have this in your own backyard. Perfect.
Speaker 2 (19:50):
The pizza first, sure, yeah, because that was the point, right, Yeah,
but you can do a lot in that thing because
of what it can do, like the roasted vegetables and
bread and even baked stuff.
Speaker 3 (20:01):
Yeah yeah, okay maybe breads. Maybe I'm moving to breads,
right if.
Speaker 2 (20:05):
A cross can work in there, a really good bread,
yeah okay. So check out Sam's pizza dough recipe Oonie
or Not at Murphysamonjody dot com.
Speaker 4 (20:16):
Here's three things to Know today, brought.
Speaker 3 (20:18):
To you by t Mobile Number one.
Speaker 2 (20:20):
A big number of us, about half of us, are
overthinkers when it comes to daily decisions everything from what
to put in your lunch box to what kind of
toothpaste to buy. We spend an average of four minutes
deciding on grocery store purchases. They call it ale anxiety.
You overthink decisions like ketchup, and it's called decision fatigue. Yeah,
(20:43):
gotta get better at making the discipion.
Speaker 3 (20:45):
I don't overthink ketchup. It's Hines period.
Speaker 2 (20:47):
Number two, the Haunted House and Museum from the Conjuring
movie is available now for Overnight's Days.
Speaker 3 (20:54):
There's an evil here, something I felt.
Speaker 4 (20:58):
Before, no kidding.
Speaker 2 (20:59):
If it's the former home of the late Paranormal Investigators
ed Lorraine Warren.
Speaker 4 (21:04):
It became the Warren Occult Museum.
Speaker 2 (21:07):
Hundreds of haunted artifacts in this play in this place,
including the Annabelle dolls.
Speaker 3 (21:10):
Oh, this is the one that Matt Rife, comedian Matt
Rife just bought.
Speaker 4 (21:13):
Correct.
Speaker 2 (21:14):
Tickets on for Overnight's Days are going on sale tomorrow.
You have to sign a waiver, of course, a physical
liability waiver as well as a spiritual liability waiver to
go there.
Speaker 4 (21:23):
And number three.
Speaker 2 (21:24):
Tonight is the start of the regular NFL season, Cowboys
facing the defending champs the Philadelphia Eagles. Tomorrow we have
the Chiefs and the Chargers, and then a full slate
thirteen games on Sunday. And there's some new rules this season,
including both teams allow a chance to possess the ball
in overtime.
Speaker 3 (21:42):
You're up to date.
Speaker 4 (21:43):
Three things to know today, moms.
Speaker 2 (21:48):
There's something I want you to do before the holidays. Okay,
so I want you to clean out your closet wherever
you keep all of your wrapping paper stuff. I know
this does not interest you guys at all, maybe Sam,
But I.
Speaker 3 (22:04):
Have a wrapping paper Okay, good, I have a.
Speaker 2 (22:07):
Whole wrapping paper closet, understand, but I have everything ribbons
and it's every you know.
Speaker 4 (22:14):
I shopped for Christmas paper and after.
Speaker 1 (22:16):
I plugged my ears, whenever she starts to open that door,
stuff so full.
Speaker 2 (22:20):
I have so much stuff, cute boxes and just everything.
You could come and wrap all of your family's presents
at my house and have we'd have leftovers. I've got
ribbon of all kinds. Anyway, so it was sort of
a hot mess. And on Labor Day what I did
was open the closet and where he was like, I'll
be outside and I decided to just really clean it out.
(22:40):
I had the time and go through everything and throw
away stuff. Oh my gosh, I'm so glad I did this.
You know what story I'm about to tell.
Speaker 1 (22:47):
Yeah, this is why you don't throw stuff away sometimes.
Speaker 2 (22:51):
Okay, So backwards, go back, rewind to Christmas of last year.
It was the frenzy of opening present with the family
and whatnot, and the girls are there and hugging me
and leaving. And a week later, Taylor calls me and says, look,
I can't find that gift card that you gave me.
And it was a significant gift card that we gave
(23:11):
her for some personal items and she really wanted to take.
Phoebe had hers, and Phoebe used hers, and Taylor couldn't
find it. Months go by and I'm like, did you
find it? I cleaned out the rooms and do you
see where I'm going. Yeah, it was in the bottom
of a gift bag that had been a bunch of
paper had been shoved in the gift bag. In fact,
(23:31):
I'm lucky I didn't just take that bag and throw
it away because it was so It was not a
bag I was going to re use it was it
was so disheveled, is what I'm saying. It's not a
bag I would have saved. And at the bottom of it,
it's that gift card. It was a big gift card too,
boy was it. It's not the money though, that had
bothered me. I mean a little bit. It's like, man,
(23:53):
we're not going to get that back. But you know,
Taylor was upset with herself. You know, she sometimes struggled
with with the organization and she was like, man, there
was a feeling attached to it that bothered me.
Speaker 4 (24:05):
For her, she thought she had lost it.
Speaker 2 (24:07):
And the truth be told, I probably am the one
who picked up everything because I'm always picking up the.
Speaker 1 (24:13):
Jody Tornado Oh okay, okay, you thanks for that.
Speaker 3 (24:17):
Mark.
Speaker 2 (24:19):
Anyway, just look through your bags and boxes before you
throw them out before the holidays coming up.
Speaker 1 (24:24):
Jody has another Hollywood Outsider and next, Sam has Music News.
Speaker 3 (24:27):
Well Lady Gotga's News song from Wednesdays on Netflix. It
is out now and you get to hear it.
Speaker 2 (24:32):
Next Sam's Got Music News, brought to you by Primate
Team Missed Well.
Speaker 3 (24:39):
Season two, Part two of Wednesdays has dropped on us
this week. It dropped on Wednesday appropriately and yes, part
of this part of the season is that Lady Gaga
has her appearance in it. Now, Yes'm not gonna drop
any spoilers yet because I haven't seen season two part
two yet, so and you.
Speaker 4 (24:55):
Shouldn't drop spoilers anyway, even when you do.
Speaker 3 (24:57):
Apparently the producers wanted her to be like a ma
major part of this season two, but because of her
schedule and everything going on, she was only able to
give him a little bit. So at least we got
what we got. Plus, she dropped a new song that
she made just for Wednesday. It's called the Dead Dance.
You hear that thriller vibe?
Speaker 4 (25:19):
I love it?
Speaker 1 (25:20):
Yeah, you're right a little bit.
Speaker 4 (25:21):
That's going to be hard to stop. Yeah, saying they actually.
Speaker 3 (25:24):
Have a soundtrack for Wednesday, and that's going to be
on the soundtrack.
Speaker 4 (25:27):
With other things.
Speaker 3 (25:29):
More proof for you that Travis Kelcey thought of everything
when proposing to Taylor Swift. I found another little tidbit out.
Not only did he like, Okay, we're going to be
on camera, get out there and decorate the yard for
three hours, but he also thought, wait a second, she's
going to be on camera, so that means her hair
and makeup are going to be done the way she
likes it. Yeah, smart, Yeah, So it's like she's already
(25:49):
got hair and makeup done, perfect time to propose, and she.
Speaker 2 (25:51):
Was getting ready for dinner. That is impressive that he
thought of all of that. Their story is so crazy
because realize another thing, another back story about him is
that when he made that friendship bracelet and put that
out into the world that he wanted to date her,
he already had a spark about her.
Speaker 4 (26:08):
He was like, she belongs with me. Didn't mean to
quote a song there, but.
Speaker 3 (26:14):
And also, we have another music documentary to tell you about.
This one's coming out next year. Amazon MGM won the
bidding rights on this one. It's a documentary about Paul
McCartney's post Beatle years.
Speaker 4 (26:26):
And you ready for the title, Yeah, Man on the Run,
Oh yeah, oh yeah.
Speaker 3 (26:32):
It's going to drop on US February twenty fifth, and
it's going to be in select theaters as well. I
guess they wanted to be up for an Oscar consideration.
It's going to focus on his thirty year relationship with
his wife Linda, his time and wings, and he's also
got a partnership with Amazon now because of it. There's
going to be exclusive music and exclusive merchandise drops as well.
Speaker 4 (26:51):
Goodness.
Speaker 3 (26:52):
Yeah, so that'll be fun.
Speaker 4 (26:53):
This When you think you know everything about him, you
really don't write.
Speaker 3 (26:57):
By the way, he's eighty three.
Speaker 1 (26:59):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (27:00):
Oh one of the Beatles is eighty three.
Speaker 1 (27:01):
Come out next. Jody has another Hollywood.
Speaker 4 (27:03):
Outsider, Jody's Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 3 (27:07):
Brought to you by ALTA.
Speaker 2 (27:08):
If you love a period piece, ladies, I can't wait
to tell you about the new trailer that dropped this week,
with Margot Robbie and Jacob Alordi looking like the hottest
couple on the planet in the new take on the
classic Emily Bronte tail Weathering Heights.
Speaker 4 (27:25):
It's set to this Charlie XCX song.
Speaker 2 (27:28):
Everything is romantic, it's very steamy, okay, but it's classic.
It's the classic tales, all the clothing and correct, correct
time period, right, So just really cool to check out
the trailer and you know, Margot Robbie, Jacob Elordi Weathering
Heights in theaters. February thirteenth is when it drops. Twenty
(27:48):
twenty six. Moving on to some cool news for Yellowstone fans,
and I do mean Rippin' Beth fans. The Dutton Breath Off.
The Dutton Ranch is the show. The series expected to
debut sometime next year. We don't have a date yet,
but we know it's happening. They're filming already. Kelly Riley
is back, Cole Hauser is back, and that Binning was
(28:09):
announced last week. That's a big Hollywood star coming to
the show. And also it's been announced that actor director
creator Ed Harris is joining the Dutton Ranch.
Speaker 3 (28:20):
Oh wow.
Speaker 2 (28:20):
And he's somebody that everybody knows. Okay, think of an astronaut.
He was in the right stuff. He's in Apollo thirteen.
He's been in a hundred million movies. He's like an
old friend when you see his face, and apparently he
plays like an old friend in the Dutton Ranch.
Speaker 3 (28:37):
And when you see something every day, or you don't
notice it every day, when it's like something in your house,
correct there and you put it there. After a first
couple of times seeing it.
Speaker 1 (28:47):
They don't notice. It happens with boxes. Ever. Had that
happen with package It.
Speaker 4 (28:51):
Doesn't happen with boxes for me, Murphy. It happens with
boxes for you. When they're a boxes sitting by the door.
I see them every time I pass. It's true.
Speaker 3 (29:01):
Well, it happened to me with my cat Aboo, Sa.
Speaker 4 (29:05):
I mean, you don't see your cat any more now
I see him.
Speaker 3 (29:07):
He's there. But my daughter Maddie came over to have
dinner the other day, okay, and first thing she said
when she walked in the house is my god, look
how fat a boo is?
Speaker 1 (29:19):
Oh?
Speaker 3 (29:19):
And I was like what, And I swear it was
almost instantly.
Speaker 4 (29:23):
Oh, I saw it.
Speaker 3 (29:24):
Yeah, And I was like, I've never noticed it before,
because I guess with me, he gradually got fat.
Speaker 4 (29:30):
So has a Boo been emotionally eating since Gusta?
Speaker 3 (29:34):
I don't know, because she posts she took a picture
of his fatness and sent it to all, you know,
all my kids, and they're like, look how fat a
boo is? And Sammy replies, my oldest, Well, I noticed
that last time I was there, but I didn't want
to say anything.
Speaker 4 (29:48):
I was like, wait a second, how sensitive, sam.
Speaker 1 (29:52):
He's eating cat food? Is he eating more than he
used to? I don't know.
Speaker 4 (29:56):
Do you leave food out?
Speaker 3 (29:57):
Yeah? I pouted the food out in the evening at
four or five o'clock in the evening and it's there
until the next day, and if it's gone, it's gone.
And if it's not, I you know, I add to
it to make the same amount. So I have decided
he's not going to I'm not cutting him off, but
I'm gonna he's getting less food. I'm giving him about
half the food now, okay, since she.
Speaker 1 (30:16):
Put that out, But what you even't change anything?
Speaker 2 (30:19):
Right?
Speaker 3 (30:19):
So I don't think I did. I mean I could
understand where over time, maybe my hand's gotten a little heavier.
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (30:25):
It's possible that you're giving her more or oh him
him he uh, although if he remains bigger with less food,
you need to take him to the v Yes, there
could be something.
Speaker 1 (30:39):
Else going on.
Speaker 3 (30:41):
And it's also too sometimes he stays out all night
or stays out all day while I'm at work, So I.
Speaker 4 (30:46):
Mean he can going to the ice cream truck.
Speaker 1 (30:49):
Yeah. Are the neighbors feeding him by a cool or
is he feeding himself at the neighbors? Yeah? Right right,
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (30:57):
Right now, we're on half food. And if that doesn't work, then.
Speaker 1 (31:00):
Get you a little kitty cam put it around his
neck and see where he goes.
Speaker 3 (31:02):
Okay, that'll be fine,
