It's Murphy, Sam and Jody after the show podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
Yeah, hanging out a little bit longer. I didn't get
to tell you this Sam yet. But okay, So our
daughter Taylor, mine and Murphy's daughter oldest, sixteen year old. Yeah,
she has her first job at a movie theater.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (00:14):
Very exciting.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Yes, well, I mean she works on weekends only right
now and in the summer she's going to pick up
some more hours.

Speaker 4 (00:21):
And she handles the box she calls it.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
Tickets, oh, the box office.

Speaker 4 (00:25):
Yeah, or concessions. It's so cute.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
When she calls me at the end of her shift,
it's like, hey, it's almost time to come get me.
She'd be like, yeah, I'm just taking out the trash,
and I'm like, wow, you do that other places. But anyway,
I'm like, okay, awesome. Well, one of the perks not
just the popcorns. She can have popcorn while she's there
as much as she wants. The other perk is that
for I think once a week she can go and

bring a friend to see anything as long as there's
a ticket available.

Speaker 4 (00:54):
It's not sold out tickets.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
And the first person she brought was her one of
her best friends, Carly I went to see a horror
movie a couple of weeks ago, and do you know,
I didn't expect to ever be honored with this, but
she asked me the other night if I would like
to go see Infinity War with her. I'm like, yeah,
but my happiness is that she asked me instead of.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
I'm not about the movie. It's about you know, it's.

Speaker 4 (01:17):
About my god. You want me to go with you?

Speaker 2 (01:19):
No? She did.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
She actually did say the family. It would be me,
Jody and Phoebe and Taylor.

Speaker 4 (01:25):
Yes, but you guys want to go.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
Yeah. Phoebe is just not into that. Okay, Well that
takes one of us out.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
And I was so excited and then she's like, yeah,
it's three D though, and it's late. It's a late
ticket off she got. She reserved late tickets one week night.
And it's like, oh, Taylor.

Speaker 3 (01:42):
See Sam, I don't know if you know this, but
Jody has a three D thing.

Speaker 5 (01:46):
Yeah I know, yeah, but see Joe I share. Yeah,
it gives some of those give me headaches too. It's
cool to go, oh wow, an hour and a half
into that, you're like running your eyes.

Speaker 4 (01:57):
And it's more than a two hour movie.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
Yeah, and I I just don't want to waste my
viewing of it with the potential that I could be
getting sick.

Speaker 4 (02:06):
You know, the virtual reality rides.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
I can't deal. I'd rather really do the ride. I'd
rather really fly through the air than for you to
trick my body into thinking I'm flying through the air.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
So you're very honored and you're tickled that she invited you,
but you turned her down.

Speaker 4 (02:20):
And it's too late. Well, I didn't want to turn
her down.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
I was going to suck it up and take a
dramamine or something and go see it because I want
to see the movie. But she misplaced the ticket too.
From the time that she was so she misplaced the tickets,
she was just like, it's okay, mom, don't worry about it.
I'll just call them wet. I'm not coming this time,
but I'm some hope. I'm hoping she'll schedule us one
for this week early enough in the evening.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
So did you give her you give her all these stipulations, just.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
The two earlier because it's a school night for her
and a work night for us.

Speaker 1 (02:53):
And then three D.

Speaker 4 (02:54):
She knows about the no three D for me. But anyway, I'm.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
Literally tickled that she wanted to do. I mean to
I want to see Infinity War. I am about I
love Marvel the whole universe.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
I mean, obviously that's the biggest, biggest movie so far
this year other than the other Marvel you know what
I mean. Yeah, you've got Black Panther, and now you've
got the Infinity Wars and there's big ones of the year.

Speaker 4 (03:17):
Isn't there another one coming later this year?

Speaker 1 (03:19):
Is it probably a Man and the Wasp.

Speaker 4 (03:22):
Yeah, Yeah, that one's gonna be fun.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
And I guess the next really big movie and she's
gonna see because the crowds were different for Infinity War
than anything she'd seen before. Her next big one will
be Memorial Day weekend when.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
Solo hans Han Solo.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
Star Wars story. That'll be a big weekend. She won't
go to get off that weekend. In other words, like,
you're gonna have to work this weekend. We need to anyway,
it's a mom thing. Mother's Day weekend's coming up. She
already gave me us to me the gift of inviting us,
because I didn't expect to rate to get that invite.

Speaker 4 (03:52):
Probably, what do you mean, I just.

Speaker 3 (03:54):
Didn't cool enough to get the invite.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
She's sixteen years old. I know I'm not the first.
First and she wants to spend time with you.

Speaker 1 (04:02):
Know what was the reason she invited you? Just because it's.

Speaker 4 (04:06):
Any war she wants to see and she knows. I
love it too. Okay, little early Mother's day for me.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
I think it's sweet.
