I hope you had a great weekend. You know. I
was kind of flashing back to Sam in Times Square
a week ago when the three of us were in
New York City, mainly because you know, the big screens
are everywhere, and the one screen that Jody pointed out, Sam,
look behind you, check it out. I was like a child,
and it was the big screen with the trailer of Solo.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
Solo, the movie which opens up this weekend.
Speaker 3 (00:24):
You look good, A little rough around the edges, it's
been good, heard about a job.
Speaker 4 (00:30):
Even think it was the actual trailer, it was just
a moving visual billboard with like one of those I
don't know what you call them, fighter jet thingy fighter yeah,
coming at and then one solo and all that. It
was exciting. Yeah, yeah, woodie, Yeah, that's the big week
for that.

Sam and I really, honestly, I'll just tell you I
have no desire to see this movie for me, you know,
I mean, they're just putting.
Speaker 4 (01:00):
Too many of these because I want.
Speaker 2 (01:04):
To have my own opinions on where Han Solo came
from based on the first three movies.
Speaker 4 (01:08):
And you don't want to mess with you don't want anymore.

Part is a pure thought of where he came from,
and I don't want somebody's interpretation of it, even if
it is Ron Howard's interpretation, right. But I have to
go see this movie because because I talked to my son, Parker,
who was at boarding school, which he is no longer
because he is now home for the summer, yay. And
the last time I talked to him last Thursday night,

he's like, you know that you have you heard of
this movie? I was like, yeah, I've heard of it.
He goes, it's coming out on Friday? Can we go?
And so we're not gonna go Friday because it's gonna
be insane, So we're gonna go Saturday. Good that he
wants to go see Solo.

So of course he does.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
I will live Vicarious three through him. I had my
childhood with the tickets and all that. Now and see
your sound like him? Well he started this, Well you
better buy tickets now, It's like Parker, but yeah, but
don't you usually buy tickets in advance. You don't just
show up and hope they're gonna have seats. It's like, Parker,
we can do it online. We'll do I'll do it
this week, you know, next week, and we'll get it done.

Yeah, it's story Star Wars fans.

didn't even know about this. This Thursday on ABC, they're
airing a two hour special. Barbara Walters and Diane Sawyer
did some special interviews for this. That's this two hour
deal called the Last Days of Michael Jackson's.

My first question was, how could this happen? You knew
there was a doctor there. How could Michael Jackson die?

as you would imagine, is very unusual.

when you know him as a child growing up in Gary, Indiana.

until his untimely death. And they are talking with family
members in this one, and they are talking with Janet
Jackson in this But they say there's gonna be some
stuff you've never seen before.

I mean, I believe it. I mean, yeah, it's just
one of those things. Do you really want to go
there or not?

night on ABC two hours, Last Days of Michael Jackson.

Speaking of TV, there is a new show coming with
Alicia Silverstone called American Woman. I know about it, saying, wow, man,
that brings back that song to me. Good thing it does,
because here's a little bit of Kelly Clarkson she's talking
about the show and also the song she recorded, the
theme song, which is the old American Woman.
Speaker 3 (04:53):
We wanted to create this moody kind of vibe, kind
of pretty much to that kind of seventies classic sound
of it too, though, because because you know, there's all
these kind of things we love, and we felt we
wanted to represent American woman in the whole lyric of
it and just the strength and the boldness and the
powerfulness that I feel like American women in Zoom.

Yeah, and it's got to be from the studio there.

Yes, the whole story is about a mom raising your
daughters in the seventies with the help of her girlfriends.

So it's a Papa, Murphy's bulldog to the vet and
boy did I come home with a long list of

I think you have about three oh wow moments, So
we will get to that first though, of Harry, we'll
get to it. I said, we'll get to you guys. Okay.
So the other day I took our bulldog, Papa to
the vet and we just recently adopted him. Murphy's always
wanted a bulldog.
Speaker 1 (06:10):
Papa is number four, No, he's number.
Speaker 4 (06:12):
Five, number five in the pack right now, and so
he came available through rescue, so we gave him a try,
and boy was he a different sort of dog to
get used to. And I actually have come a long
way with him and I love him. Wow, that's such
a character.
Speaker 1 (06:28):
I think we've learned that bulldogs, especially when they when
he was different, the only dog in the household that
he was in. So when he came into our pack,
his first thing is like, well, but I'm the bulldog.
I'm supposed to be in charge. And so finally it
sorted itself out where Champ clearly is alpha and Papa's
now comfortable with that and there's no more of the
weirdness that was going on at first with in.
Speaker 4 (06:46):
The dog's Champ is alpha, but in the whole palace
you are Murphy with him.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
I love the video you posted on our Facebook page.
It was a week ago with the suitcase.
Speaker 4 (06:56):
Yeah, that was hell.
Speaker 2 (06:57):
Lessel watched it so many times.
Speaker 4 (06:59):
I've never seen a role scase.
Speaker 2 (07:00):
Apparently, it was just so funny.
Speaker 4 (07:03):
He charged me the first time I put on my
Wonder Woman apron. Anyway, I had never fully vetted him.
He had been fully vetted before and taken to the
vet Oh yeah, I'm sorry taking him to the vat
you didn't check his back. I took him, and boy
did I learn a lot about him right away. Those
folds all over his face and skin. I've been cleaning
him out with baby wipes every once in a while.
(07:25):
They have to be clean now daily with medicated wipes
because they're a little infected because they're always closed.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
In you know, west, I even realize, and that's part
of a bulldog's you know.
Speaker 4 (07:35):
Right good. He had a little ear issue which we
have to take care of, but the big one came
at the end of the appointment, and I wish Murphy
could have been there. It's because he has a heart
murmur and he's only two. He has a heart murmur,
so we've got to take him.
Speaker 1 (07:48):
And we don't know how, you know, risky, dangerous. I mean,
it could be one of those where they listen to it,
they go, okay, no problem, medication here you go in
medication for the rest of his life. We don't know.
Speaker 4 (07:57):
We don't know, but he's only two, and so we're
taking him to a cardiologist. Now, I pet id cardiologist,
of course, at a vet's my cardiologist. Yeah. Oh, and
he loves the VAT. He loves to go for a ride.

My breakfast early one morning. The other days it was
regular cheerios and a cup of almond milk. It gives
it a nice little nutty. Miss Murphy eats him a
lot too.

Yeah, I honestly never would have thought to put anything
in almond milk as opposed to regular milk.
Speaker 4 (09:02):
Well, I drink almond milk lately instead of regular milk.

I think it's delicious.

It's kind of watery, but it works.

Yeah, I mean. Bridget says that she loves almond milk
and her series good stuff. But I wanted to highlight
what June says when you're asking about it. What are
people eating for breakfast? June says, right now, coffee and
chocolate chip cookies.

I would completely love that.

Murphy used to eat pop tarts and chocolate milk for
breakfast for years.

It was a breakfast champions for me years ago. It's
a long long time ago, right A couple of weeks.

and they're still the best.

marketing campaign of all time, though, because they're meant for
little babies as soon as they can start to chew
and eat solid food, and you got that cute little
plastic things and you.

morning here and making coffee. What's this? Uh, what's this
problem you're having with our vending machine. We can't have
you not eating.

Breakfast, right, okay, Well, every now and then I feel
the need to well, okay, my favorite thing in the
vending machine is the honey bun.
Speaker 4 (12:03):
I know you're gonna say that.
Speaker 1 (12:04):
Yeah, it's usually everybody's favorite. Yeah, and you know the
trick with the honey bun is, to me, it's kind
of like it's gonna like picking produce. Yeah, when it
starts to sweat, that's the time to buy.
Speaker 8 (12:13):
Yeah.

Well I don't know about that, right for the picking?
Speaker 8 (12:20):
Whoa okay, taking it.

Get I've never eaten the honey bon by the way,
really serious, you know, not even that much of a
donut person.

Well, like that that's different. Yeah, right, that's completely okay.
So why are you having problems with the honeymoon? Is

No, it's not sweating. It's just there's only there's only
two options for like, I get what would you call it?
It's not a pastry, but it's a It's just like, yeah,
there's only two options in there, and they're the first
ones to run out every time you get here.
Speaker 4 (13:00):
So early though, we you should have DIBs on the
honey buns.
Speaker 8 (13:04):
Well, yeah, I do, but only for a couple of days.

I was going to say, I suspect you may be
the only one buying.

I might be why don't you buy a box at
the grocery and bring them?
Speaker 8 (13:13):
Yeah, that would be the smart idea.

Or the other thing is I know the guy that
fills the machines is open to suggestions. Yeah, really, you
can always say, hey, look, I really like can you
put some more breakfast items down here in the bottom row?

Yeah, we're early morning people.

That's a good Yeah. What I was going to say
is there's a lot of candy in there. There's a
lot of different slots for a whole bunch of.

Yeah, he's very open. Just be careful when you're talking
to him, because when he's got the machine open, he's
pretty protective of the bucket of change.

Yeah, don't reach for anything.

make mistakes and then you'll ask for a honeymun and

I really would like to talk all about the royal
wedding all morning long, but since you guys won't let me.
There were other things that happened this weekend, like the
Billboard Music Awards, which Kelly Clarkson hosted, and she opened
by doing a medley of a lot of the hottest,
biggest songs. Oh God, take me to church, Kelly.

My favorite part was when she got to the Taylor
swift Look what You made Me do? Yes, Taylor is
in the She hadn't been at many Award shows this year.
But she was in the audience for this one and
she kind of played along with it, looking at her
fingernails and like, look what you.

That's a busy weekend for Taylor Swift because Taylor Swift
had two performances as the Rose Bowl this weekend.

I'll saund do you see everybody that was there?

Of course it's the Rose Bowl.

It's in La.

It is an La, so everybody. By the way, Seawan
Mendez showed up at a Taylor Swift concert this week
and then the other one, Selena Gomez showed up at
like on stage is what we're saying, and that's what happens.
But back to the Billboard Music Awards, hosted by Kelly
and by the way, Kelly Clarkson wins and and can
host anything now after that, she can host anything now.

Ed Sheerd and Kendrick Lamar were the big winners of
the night, taking home you know, like not I'm sorry,
six trophies each. And so Ed was not able to
be there, but he performed via satellite, so he was

in Dublin. He was in Dublin, and so it was
just huge. I mean, Janet Jackson won the Icon Award,
and it just one of those big, big big nights, right,
and I still cannot wait to tell you about what
with the royal wedding. Still cannot wait to get there.
I do want to say at the week at the
weekend box office, something finally knocked Infinity War off out

of the top spot.

rest of the day, you made your bed, So you

when I get out of bed, Come on, make your bed.

Right at the end. I've got one more thing to say,
and they will only take me a second. I've got
two words that I want you all to remember. They're

Speaking of Cloney, you know where he was Saturday at
the Royal Wedding. Okay, so I cannot wait to tell
you about the Royal Wedding some specifics you may not
have known. Did you watch Sam wat awesome, guys. The
Royal Wedding was so picture perfect. Disney could not have

put on a better wedding. And well that's one thing. Okay,
Saturday morning early is a special time for me because
it's one of the only days I get to sleep in,
and so you better believe it was a little hard.
But then again, I jumped right up early and turned
on the TV. And we have a big screen TV
in our bedroom. Sam and Murphy was like, what's going on?
Speaker 1 (19:53):
I was like, it scared me for a minute. I
thought my alarm was going off. It's like, it's Saturday
that way.
Speaker 4 (19:59):
I've warned. I said, look, I'm gonna keep it low,
but I'm definitely going to turn it on because I didn't.
I didn't want to get up and put a fascinator
on and have a party. I just wanted to watch
it from bed, which is what I did.

It was it was pretty beautiful.

We had a lot of Facebook friends who went to parties. Yeah,
very early morning brunches and that sort of.

I just did a pub girlfriends that got together with
fascinators on. I watched it in bed with Murph.

Did the Queen's dress wake up real early? Got that color?
Oh no, I was a little surprised that.
Speaker 1 (20:27):
Yeah, but say it worked.
Speaker 4 (20:29):
It was okay, she stuck out. It didn't work for me.
She's the queen. She always sticks out. I don't know,
but anyway, first of all, I just want to start
with when Harry and William were walking into the church.
My heart was in my throat watching them walk in
as brothers and thinking of thinking of Princess Diana, thinking
of Diana, like, look at your boys all grown up.
I think all mothers go there in your heart, you

think that, I think My favorite thing about the day. Honestly,
it was so perfect and pretty. But harry nerves were
just touching to me. He was so nervous. He kept
playing with his facial hair, which was awesome.
Speaker 1 (21:08):
Meghan looked more relaxed. It was she was more She
looked more comfortable.
Speaker 4 (21:12):
Maybe maybe that's sort of the dynamic of the relationship,
her calming him down. But that was just so lovely.
So how about we take you to the church here.
One of my favorite parts is when he does the
ring part of the ceremony.
Speaker 6 (21:23):
Meghan, I give you this ring, Meghan, I give you
this ring as a sign of our marriage, as a
sign of our marriage melting.

And her dress was so classic and classy and the Tierra.

was flipping around on Facebook in the setting section, trying
to look for something in particular. I came across something
in the general section called managing your account and your
Legacy contact. What's that? The legacy contact is? And we've

all known people who have passed away and left a
Facebook account behind, and then there's all that rigamarole with
how do you get into it? What are you going
to do to it?

Oh, you have to get somebody to manage it.

I don't know how new this feature is, but you
can go in there and assign somebody or ask ask
somebody like if you pass away, they're going to control
your account?

So what I did was I went in there, and
I chose my oldest son, Sammy. Oh good, okay. And
then after I, you know, did it like it? I
clicked it and it said Sammy's going to be notified.
It's like, oh wait, I'm doing this backwards. I need
to notify Sammy before he sees this, and you know
what's wrong with dad.

So maybe in Facebook they should actually put strongly considered
talking to this person before you click yes exactly.

If they want to manage your Facebook.

Give me the rundown before I hit submit. So anyway,
I didn text him and I said, look, Sammy, I
found this just noodling around and I put you in
there and said okay, and he said, yeah, that's that's fine. Inside.
What's coincident? He's coincidences. He said they had a friend
he and some of his friends had a mutual friend
who also had passed away and had done that and
they were like, oh wow, that's cool. And he said

another one of his friends when that happened, he sent
Sammy all of his names and passwords for all of
his gaming accounts, so somebody has them. I was like, well,
you know, that's not the same, but he said it
was fine, and he said, he's actually going to do
it too. Now I don't know who he's going to assign.
I guess you don't assign somebody older than you, but
he's Sammy said, as you could. Thanks for the notification,

The Royal wedding was my favorite thing I've ever gotten
up early for on a Saturday morning, and it was early,
of course. So I'm going to tell you guys some

saw that Oprah was there, that George Clooney, George and
Amal were there, David and Victoria Beckham, Elton John of course.
So after the wedding, Hau the Queen hosted a luncheon
of about six hundred guests. I'm thinking if you were

at the wedding, you were likely you just went over
to the luncheon that was at Windsor Castle. Elton John
performed a mini concert there where he did Tiny Dancer,
Your Song and Circle of Life Helloing. Yes, circle of
Life Wait, maybe it's one of Harry's favorites.

Yeah, I probably is.

Totally everybody wants to hear that. The evening party was
held at Frogmore House with two hundred of the couple's
closest friends and family members. So that was the real, right,
that was the real, more personal party. And you saw
when they when they changed, he was in a tucks
and she was in this gorgeous cream colored white dress. Yeah,

and she stepped out and then they got into a
convertible blue Jaguar. You guys saw that.

Harry that he drove it like James Bond. It's a
very I totally thought James Bond. I thought, go and

It was Sella McCartney, not really a dress person. But
when she came out wearing that and he had tucks

this is the real sort of reception that were You know,
there's not there's not a much a camera footage or
anything like that in appearance.

Harry gave a speech during that and he basically said
one of the things that one of the guests said
that he said was I can't wait to spend the
rest of my life with you guys. Going back to
the wedding, you saw her bouquet, you heard about her bouquet.
It was so simple. It was like, Wow, where did
this come from? It's ridiculous simple. Harry picked those flowers

from Princess Diana's garden that morning, Princess Diana's favorite flowers. Yes,
that's what they were Forget me not. And then later
in the day that bouquet, this is also a royal tradition,
was placed on the grave of the Unknown Warrior at
Westminster Abbey. Oh that was done on Sunday. I still

swoon Yeah, I'm still swooning. Want to watch like, want
to go in the theater and watch the whole thing
again wide awake?

a full lunch break. In fact, a lot of us
are doing thirty minutes or less to eat or run
and get.

Yeah, so you can get it all done, or so
that you worry about people thinking you're gone too long.
Isn't that horrible because taking a break only makes you better. Yeah,
but when you come back and most employers are not
aware of it. They they offer you up a full
lunch break and they expect you to take it, and
you just are not taking it. And that's the whole

thing about Americans in general. We we go on vacation,
but we can't relax because we still work while on vacation.
Also not a good habit. I remember now I can
say this. I remember when I first started working years ago.
I was working at a company where that you took
lunch breaks. And even if the boss went to lunch
and we all went to lunch, it was an even

longer lunch break. You know, it was a lunch. Wasn't
at least an hour every day? Wow? Yeah?

Like three martini lunch?
Speaker 4 (35:41):
No, I mean every once in a while it might
have been a one martini lunch if the client was
a Martini that's right when I worked in advertising. Yeah,
but anyway, we don't and we should. Yeah, not just
for you're supposed to slow down.

Well, you need to take that break. It might be

I completely agree, Like, don't look at your I went
to have a salad recently for lunch and I accidentally

But it was awesome.

My favorite part of the whole thing, I mean, start

the thing. My favorite part was Harry's emotion, Harry's vulnerability
and his nerves. I just not that I wanted him
to have a rough go of it. I didn't, but
I just thought that was so gorgeous. He seemed more

nervous than she, and you would expect it to be
the table's turn, you know what I mean, she's the
American girl being brought into this family. There's apparently a
lot of this just in the last year she's had
to learn. She didn't know all the ins and outs
of life in a palace and all the things.

It was really you're right, vulnerable is the best way

Americans in general have been more interested in this because
she's an American.

for that.

Sam and I really, honestly, I'll just tell you I
have no desire to see this movie for me, you know,
I mean, they're just putting.

To have my own opinions on where Han Solo came
from based on the first three movies.

And you don't want to mess with you don't want anymore.

it is Ron Howard's interpretation, right. But I have to
go see this movie because because I talked to my son, Parker,
who was at boarding school, which he is no longer

the last time I talked to him last Thursday night,

he's like, you know that you have you heard of
this movie? I was like, yeah, I've heard of it.
He goes, it's coming out on Friday? Can we go?
And so we're not gonna go Friday because it's gonna
be insane, So we're gonna go Saturday. Good that he
wants to go see Solo.

I will live Vicarious three through him. I had my
childhood with the tickets and all that. Now and see
your sound like him? Well he started this, Well you
better buy tickets now, It's like Parker, but yeah, but

we can do it online. We'll do I'll do it
this week, you know, next week, and we'll get it done.

I think you have about three oh wow moments, So
we will get to that first though, of Harry, we'll
get to it. I said, we'll get to you guys. Okay.
So the other day I took our bulldog, Papa to
the vet and we just recently adopted him. Murphy's always
wanted a bulldog.
Speaker 1 (06:10):
Papa is number four, No, he's number.
Speaker 4 (06:12):
Five, number five in the pack right now, and so
he came available through rescue, so we gave him a try,
and boy was he a different sort of dog to
get used to. And I actually have come a long
way with him and I love him. Wow, that's such
a character.
Speaker 1 (06:28):
I think we've learned that bulldogs, especially when they when
he was different, the only dog in the household that
he was in. So when he came into our pack,
his first thing is like, well, but I'm the bulldog.
I'm supposed to be in charge. And so finally it
sorted itself out where Champ clearly is alpha and Papa's
now comfortable with that and there's no more of the
weirdness that was going on at first with in.
Speaker 4 (06:46):
The dog's Champ is alpha, but in the whole palace
you are Murphy with him.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
I love the video you posted on our Facebook page.
It was a week ago with the suitcase.
Speaker 4 (06:56):
Yeah, that was hell.
Speaker 2 (06:57):
Lessel watched it so many times.
Speaker 4 (06:59):
I've never seen a role scase.
Speaker 2 (07:00):
Apparently, it was just so funny.
Speaker 4 (07:03):
He charged me the first time I put on my
Wonder Woman apron. Anyway, I had never fully vetted him.
He had been fully vetted before and taken to the
vet Oh yeah, I'm sorry taking him to the vat
you didn't check his back. I took him, and boy
did I learn a lot about him right away. Those
folds all over his face and skin. I've been cleaning
him out with baby wipes every once in a while.
(07:25):
They have to be clean now daily with medicated wipes
because they're a little infected because they're always closed.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
In you know, west, I even realize, and that's part
of a bulldog's you know.
Speaker 4 (07:35):
Right good. He had a little ear issue which we
have to take care of, but the big one came
at the end of the appointment, and I wish Murphy
could have been there. It's because he has a heart
murmur and he's only two. He has a heart murmur,
so we've got to take him.
Speaker 1 (07:48):
And we don't know how, you know, risky, dangerous. I mean,
it could be one of those where they listen to it,
they go, okay, no problem, medication here you go in
medication for the rest of his life. We don't know.
Speaker 4 (07:57):
We don't know, but he's only two, and so we're
taking him to a cardiologist. Now, I pet id cardiologist,
of course, at a vet's my cardiologist. Yeah. Oh, and
he loves the VAT. He loves to go for a ride.
Speaker 2 (08:10):
And loves the VAT Good.

it a nice little nutty. Miss Murphy eats him a
lot too.

Yeah, I honestly never would have thought to put anything
in almond milk as opposed to regular milk.

Well, I drink almond milk lately instead of regular milk.

It's kind of watery, but it works.

Yeah, I mean. Bridget says that she loves almond milk
and her series good stuff. But I wanted to highlight
what June says when you're asking about it. What are
people eating for breakfast? June says, right now, coffee and
chocolate chip cookies.

I would completely love that.

Murphy used to eat pop tarts and chocolate milk for
breakfast for years.

It was a breakfast champions for me years ago. It's

Breakfast, right, okay, Well, every now and then I feel
the need to well, okay, my favorite thing in the
vending machine is the honey bun.

Yeah, it's usually everybody's favorite. Yeah, and you know the
trick with the honey bun is, to me, it's kind
of like it's gonna like picking produce. Yeah, when it
starts to sweat, that's the time to buy.

Well I don't know about that, right for the picking?

Whoa okay, taking it.

Get I've never eaten the honey bon by the way,

No, it's not sweating. It's just there's only there's only
two options for like, I get what would you call it?
It's not a pastry, but it's a It's just like, yeah,
there's only two options in there, and they're the first
ones to run out every time you get here.

So early though, we you should have DIBs on the
honey buns.

Well, yeah, I do, but only for a couple of days.

I was going to say, I suspect you may be
the only one buying.

the grocery and bring them?

Yeah, that would be the smart idea.

Or the other thing is I know the guy that
fills the machines is open to suggestions. Yeah, really, you

is there's a lot of candy in there. There's a

Ed Sheerd and Kendrick Lamar were the big winners of
the night, taking home you know, like not I'm sorry,
six trophies each. And so Ed was not able to
be there, but he performed via satellite, so he was

in Dublin. He was in Dublin, and so it was
just huge. I mean, Janet Jackson won the Icon Award,
and it just one of those big, big big nights, right,
and I still cannot wait to tell you about what
with the royal wedding. Still cannot wait to get there.

And when we always get a couple of good quotes
and some philosophies that come out of these, there is one.
I believe it was a naval officer a few years ago,
and I love this one because it went around the
internet for a while and his main thing was always
the first thing in the morning, always make sure your
bed is made right. And then he went on too,
it's more than that. He went on to exp why

your bed needs to be made every morning right?

Well, and the reason for that is because at least
you've accomplished that. Even if anything else goes wrong the
rest of the day, you made your bed, So you
did accomplish something.

when I get out of bed, Come on, make your bed.

But the cool one that popped up in this graduation
season from Michael Keaton, the actor Mychael Keaton. I heard
about it and he gave his you know, wonderful address.
But whatever, whatever, what's sticking out And this is so funny.

because you remember he was a Batman at one time. Yes,
this is what he left the kids at Kent State University.
Right at the end. I've got one more thing to say,
and they will only take me a second. I've got
two words that I want you all to remember. They're

Speaking of Cloney, you know where he was Saturday at
the Royal Wedding. Okay, so I cannot wait to tell
you about the Royal Wedding some specifics you may not
have known. Did you watch Sam wat awesome, guys. The
Royal Wedding was so picture perfect. Disney could not have

put on a better wedding. And well that's one thing. Okay,
Saturday morning early is a special time for me because
it's one of the only days I get to sleep in,
and so you better believe it was a little hard.
But then again, I jumped right up early and turned
on the TV. And we have a big screen TV
in our bedroom. Sam and Murphy was like, what's going on?
Speaker 1 (19:53):
I was like, it scared me for a minute. I
thought my alarm was going off. It's like, it's Saturday
that way.
Speaker 4 (19:59):
I've warned. I said, look, I'm gonna keep it low,
but I'm definitely going to turn it on because I didn't.
I didn't want to get up and put a fascinator
on and have a party. I just wanted to watch
it from bed, which is what I did.
Speaker 1 (20:08):
It was it was pretty beautiful.

You know.
Speaker 1 (20:11):
We had a lot of Facebook friends who went to parties. Yeah,
very early morning brunches and that sort of.
Speaker 4 (20:16):
I just did a pub girlfriends that got together with
fascinators on. I watched it in bed with Murph.

Did the Queen's dress wake up real early? Got that color?
Oh no, I was a little surprised that.
Speaker 1 (20:27):
Yeah, but say it worked.
Speaker 4 (20:29):
It was okay, she stuck out. It didn't work for me.
She's the queen. She always sticks out. I don't know,
but anyway, first of all, I just want to start
with when Harry and William were walking into the church.
My heart was in my throat watching them walk in
as brothers and thinking of thinking of Princess Diana, thinking
of Diana, like, look at your boys all grown up.
I think all mothers go there in your heart, you
(20:52):
think that, I think My favorite thing about the day. Honestly,
it was so perfect and pretty. But harry nerves were
just touching to me. He was so nervous. He kept
playing with his facial hair, which was awesome.
Speaker 1 (21:08):
Meghan looked more relaxed. It was she was more She
looked more comfortable.
Speaker 4 (21:12):
Maybe maybe that's sort of the dynamic of the relationship,
her calming him down. But that was just so lovely.
So how about we take you to the church here.
One of my favorite parts is when he does the
ring part of the ceremony.
Speaker 6 (21:23):
Meghan, I give you this ring, Meghan, I give you
this ring as a sign of our marriage, as a
sign of our marriage melting.
Speaker 4 (21:32):
And her dress was so classic and classy and the Tierra.
I think she wanted the Tierra to really stand out more.
And by the way, the Queen, in a gesture of
I love you, I accept you completely said you pick
out of all these that belonged to Diana and her family,
you pick. So Meghan got to pick that one, all right.

Reverend Michael Curry is the one who stole the show though, Yeah,
you know what I mean.

He absolutely did.

I felt like I was in church myself.

fifty five, what Harry said to Megan in his personal
speech at the reception.

Yeah, before we get to that, I got to tell
you about something important that I passed down to my
son Sammy. Yes, Sam you know, you might find it
a little morbid.

Dough so you do realize what a week from today is,
right memorial? Oh yeah, of course, which mentally kind of
signals to me the beginning of somewhere. I know it
is not the official kickoff, but you know it's close enough,
with school getting out and that kind of stuff.

I'm going to get a Well, you might consider this
a little morbid. Okay, yeah, it's a feature I found
on Facebook Facebook that I did not know existed. I
was flipping around on Facebook in the setting section, trying
to look for something in particular. I came across something
in the general section called managing your account and your
Legacy contact. What's that? The legacy contact is? And we've
(23:00):
all known people who have passed away and left a
Facebook account behind, and then there's all that rigamarole with
how do you get into it? What are you going
to do to it?
Speaker 4 (23:08):
Oh, you have to get somebody to manage it.
Speaker 2 (23:11):
I don't know how new this feature is, but you
can go in there and assign somebody or ask ask
somebody like if you pass away, they're going to control
your account?
Speaker 4 (23:19):
Okay, go oh wow.
Speaker 2 (23:21):
So what I did was I went in there, and
I chose my oldest son, Sammy. Oh good, okay. And
then after I, you know, did it like it? I
clicked it and it said Sammy's going to be notified.
It's like, oh wait, I'm doing this backwards. I need
to notify Sammy before he sees this, and you know
what's wrong with dad.
Speaker 1 (23:40):
So maybe in Facebook they should actually put strongly considered
talking to this person before you click yes exactly.
Speaker 4 (23:46):
If they want to manage your Facebook.
Speaker 2 (23:47):
Give me the rundown before I hit submit. So anyway,
I didn text him and I said, look, Sammy, I
found this just noodling around and I put you in
there and said okay, and he said, yeah, that's that's fine. Inside.
What's coincident? He's coincidences. He said they had a friend
he and some of his friends had a mutual friend
who also had passed away and had done that and
they were like, oh wow, that's cool. And he said
(24:09):
another one of his friends when that happened, he sent
Sammy all of his names and passwords for all of
his gaming accounts, so somebody has them. I was like, well,
you know, that's not the same, but he said it
was fine, and he said, he's actually going to do
it too. Now I don't know who he's going to assign.
I guess you don't assign somebody older than you, but
he's Sammy said, as you could. Thanks for the notification,

but he's also going to assign his to somebody.

Feature has actually been around for a while. But you
know it makes sense that it's not one you would
have noticed.

No, and I don't spend a whole lot of time
in the general settings of Facebook anyway. What happens is
every time I get an update on my phone, it
resets almost all my preferences. Yeah, it doesn't reset the
privacy settings, but all the notifications drives me crazy because
they have to go back ahead and start from scratch again.

Yeah, this one's called it's on your general settings, on
your manage account, it's called legacy.

They are in the president at some point in the

TV scenes are actually the Patriots Tom Brady and that's cool.

Well, they probably just didn't the game that was just

I've never felt any episode of any TV show in

The Royal wedding was my favorite thing I've ever gotten
up early for on a Saturday morning, and it was early,
of course. So I'm going to tell you guys some
stuff that you may not have realized happened. You guys
saw that Oprah was there, that George Clooney, George and
Amal were there, David and Victoria Beckham, Elton John of course.
So after the wedding, Hau the Queen hosted a luncheon
of about six hundred guests. I'm thinking if you were

at the wedding, you were likely you just went over
to the luncheon that was at Windsor Castle. Elton John
performed a mini concert there where he did Tiny Dancer,
Your Song and Circle of Life Helloing. Yes, circle of
Life Wait, maybe it's one of Harry's favorites.

Yeah, I probably is.
Speaker 4 (31:39):
Totally everybody wants to hear that. The evening party was
held at Frogmore House with two hundred of the couple's
closest friends and family members. So that was the real, right,
that was the real, more personal party. And you saw
when they when they changed, he was in a tucks
and she was in this gorgeous cream colored white dress. Yeah,

and she stepped out and then they got into a
convertible blue Jaguar. You guys saw that.

Yeah, how cool is.

Harry that he drove it like James Bond. It's a
very I totally thought James Bond. I thought, go and
drive fast, but that would make can We got.

Back to the dress. It was fa blew me away.

Sella McCartney or something like that.

It was Sella McCartney, not really a dress person. But
when she came out wearing that and he had tucks
on like man perfect, he.

Looked like some sort of goddess. I don't know, I
know she looks gorgeous. But anyway, at this party, you understand,
this is the real sort of reception that were You know,
there's not there's not a much a camera footage or
anything like that in appearance.

Everybody's we up at that point no, you don't make it.
Speaker 4 (32:42):
Harry gave a speech during that and he basically said
one of the things that one of the guests said
that he said was I can't wait to spend the
rest of my life with you guys. Going back to
the wedding, you saw her bouquet, you heard about her bouquet.
It was so simple. It was like, Wow, where did
this come from? It's ridiculous simple. Harry picked those flowers

from Princess Diana's garden that morning, Princess Diana's favorite flowers. Yes,
that's what they were Forget me not. And then later
in the day that bouquet, this is also a royal tradition,
was placed on the grave of the Unknown Warrior at
Westminster Abbey. Oh that was done on Sunday. I still

swoon Yeah, I'm still swooning. Want to watch like, want
to go in the theater and watch the whole thing
again wide awake?

I don't know. Yeah, you got a lot of stuff
on your sandwich, Okay, anyway, most Americans do not take
a full lunch break. In fact, a lot of us
are doing thirty minutes or less to eat or run
and get.

Back to work, or eating at your desk.

Yeah, so you can get it all done, or so
that you worry about people thinking you're gone too long.
Isn't that horrible because taking a break only makes you better. Yeah,
but when you come back and most employers are not
aware of it. They they offer you up a full
lunch break and they expect you to take it, and
you just are not taking it. And that's the whole

thing about Americans in general. We we go on vacation,
but we can't relax because we still work while on vacation.
Also not a good habit. I remember now I can
say this. I remember when I first started working years ago.
I was working at a company where that you took
lunch breaks. And even if the boss went to lunch
and we all went to lunch, it was an even

longer lunch break. You know, it was a lunch. Wasn't
at least an hour every day? Wow? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (35:39):
Like three martini lunch?
Speaker 4 (35:41):
No, I mean every once in a while it might
have been a one martini lunch if the client was
a Martini that's right when I worked in advertising. Yeah,
but anyway, we don't and we should. Yeah, not just
for you're supposed to slow down.

Well, you need to take that break. It might be
fresh again.

I completely agree, Like, don't look at your I went
to have a salad recently for lunch and I accidentally
left my phone here oh at work.

No, I realized, you know, I'm just gonna enjoy this.
I'm five minutes away from you know, work, and I
got back to not I had missed nothing.

and the camera angles. Anyway, at one point during the service,
when the choir started singing, Murphy sat up, like what
they're singing?

So, isn't that cool?

But it was awesome.

My favorite part of the whole thing, I mean, start
to finish, middle, the kiss, the blue jaguar, the dress,
the thing. My favorite part was Harry's emotion, Harry's vulnerability
and his nerves. I just not that I wanted him
to have a rough go of it. I didn't, but
I just thought that was so gorgeous. He seemed more

nervous than she, and you would expect it to be
the table's turn, you know what I mean, she's the
American girl being brought into this family. There's apparently a
lot of this just in the last year she's had
to learn. She didn't know all the ins and outs
of life in a palace and all the things.

What you saw there was the person, not the prince.
It was really you're right, vulnerable is the best way
to discribe.
Speaker 4 (38:23):
Right, Well, Murphy, I always see the prince, even though
what you're.

when he mouthed, do you look amazing?

Yeah, every time I watch that whole and you look amazing.
I didn't see you look amazing, but I don't care
what it was. She did look amazing. It was so fabulous.

Think everything about the moment. For me, this is the
first time that I was really deep into it. I
guess because of the energy of Jodi, But you know,
but I mean, Bishop Curry's sermon was just electric, the music,
the just everything this time to me, not that any

Did Okay, I'm gonna know you've been drinking coffee in
the morning here and making coffee. What's this? Uh, what's
this problem you're having with our vending machine. We can't
have you not eating.
Speaker 8 (40:18):
Breakfast, right, okay, Well, every now and then I feel
the need to well, okay, my favorite thing in the
vending machine is the honey bun.
Speaker 4 (40:28):
I know you're gonna say that.
Speaker 1 (40:29):
Yeah, it's usually everybody's favorite. Yeah, and you know the
trick with the honey bun is, to me, it's kind
of like it's gonna like picking produce. Yeah, when it
starts to sweat, that's the time to buy.
Speaker 2 (40:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (40:41):
Well I don't know about that, right for the picking,
but okay, taking it.
Speaker 4 (40:46):
Get I've never eaten the honey bun, by the way,
really serious, you know, not even that much of a
donut person.
Speaker 2 (40:53):
Give me seventy five cents, I'll get you on.
Speaker 1 (40:55):
Yeah, cinnabon is even the next level of that.
Speaker 4 (40:58):
Well like that that's different. Yeah right, that's that's completely
So why are you having problems with the honeymoon? Is
it sweating?

No, it's not sweating. It's just there's only there's only
two options for like I get what would you call it.
It's not a pastry, but it's a Yeah, there's only
two options in there, and I'm they're the first ones
to run out every time you get here so.
Speaker 4 (41:25):
Early, though, we you should have DIBs on the honey buns.
Speaker 8 (41:28):
Well, yeah, I do, but only for a couple of days.
Speaker 1 (41:31):
I was gonna say, I suspect you may be the
only one buying.
Speaker 2 (41:33):
I might be why don't you buy a box at
the grocery and bring them?
Speaker 8 (41:37):
Yeah, that would be the smart idea.
Speaker 2 (41:39):
The other thing is, I know the guy that fills
the machines is open to suggestions. Really, you can always say, hey, look,
I really like can you put some more breakfast items
down here on the bottom row?
Speaker 4 (41:50):
Yeah, we're early morning people. That's a good Yeah.
Speaker 8 (41:52):
What I was going to say is there's a lot
of candy in there. There's a lot of different slots
for a whole bunch of.
Speaker 1 (41:57):
Yeah, he's very open. Just be careful when you're talking
to him, because wen he's got the machine open. He's
pretty protective of the bucket of change. Yeah, don't reach
for anything.
Speaker 4 (42:06):
So talking to him while he's filling the machine, he'll
make mistakes and then you'll ask for a honeymun and
you'll get Dorito's, which sounds good to me.
Speaker 2 (42:13):
You do the cheap version and buy a box at home.

they're airing a two hour special. Barbara Walters and Diane
Sawyer did some special interviews for this. That's this two
hour deal called the Last Days of Michael Jackson's and
it's familiar, almost like there's a little snippet of it
for you.

My first question was, how could this happen? You knew
there was a doctor there. How could Michael Jackson die?
What really happened in that room?
Speaker 7 (43:08):
Because I arrived in the bedroom there was some medical equipment, which,
as you would imagine, is very unusual.

Now this is around me.
Speaker 2 (43:15):
All the way back to when you know him as
a child growing up in Gary, Indiana. Jackson five days,
Michael solo days all the way up until his untimely death.
And they are talking with family members in this one,
and they are talking with Janat Jackson in this one.
But they say there's gonna be some stuff you've never
seen before.

I mean, I believe it. I mean, heah. It's just
one of those things. Do you really want to go
there or not?

I'm interested.

coming with Alicia Silverstone called American Woman. I know about it, saying, wow, man,
that brings back that song to me. Good thing it does,
because here's a little bit of Kelly Clarkson. She's talking
about the show and also the song she recorded, the
theme song, which is the Old American Woman.

We wanted to create this moody kind of vibe, kind
of pretty much to that kind of seventies classic sound
of it too, though, because you know, there's all these
kind of things we love, and we felt we wanted
to represent American woman in the whole lyric of it
and just the strength and the boldness and the powerfulness
that I feel like American woman in Zoom.

Yes, the whole story is about a mom raising her

I take too long to do it. The people behind
you are going to be going crazy. To me.

It's like when I first saw this, it's my first
reaction is cool. But then yeah, I think that it's like,
now go up to the machine and push the bus. Second,
I'm picking my.

Drink back here, Murphy will you will?
Speaker 2 (46:11):
I will do it to make sure it works.
Speaker 1 (46:13):
But maybe what they're thinking is the app streamlines it.
If you're going to use the app and you're going
to put that much thought into it, you're going to
know what drink you want before you get to the machine. Gotcha,
So you connect and you dispense. That's all it's going
to be. You know, now, if you're trying to figure
out how to work the app in the first place,
get out the way.

If you caught Michael Keaton, the actor. The end of
last week, he gave one of the commencement addresses at
Kent State University.

I had a lot of good stuff to say, you know,
inspirational blah blah blah. But then he ended his speech
with two words, and those two words are.

Still got it. He still got the Batman swag.

And everybody forgot anything else. He said. Anyway, it just
reminded me producer Bailey, you just graduated. I sure did,
from the college. Yeah, did you have any inspirational speaker?
Speaker 1 (47:06):
We did.
Speaker 8 (47:06):
We had a former senator oh or on the US level,
I believe the US level. I think he had paid Yeah,
what did you come away with?
Speaker 4 (47:20):
He said?
Speaker 8 (47:21):
He spent most of the time talking about fake news? Surprisingly, Yeah,
he said, yeah, like watch it keep critical thinking a
part of your life.
Speaker 1 (47:29):
And great, and that's very sounded.
Speaker 4 (47:31):
Big theme. I've heard that a lot. Actually, Oprah did
the same in her commencement speech recently. Like careful the truth.
She said, Well, and.
Speaker 1 (47:39):
That's what that education is all about, right, you know,
learning and researching and making your own decisions as you
go on what you learn, and that applies to your
whole life. That's really good sound advice.
Speaker 4 (47:49):
No Batman for you though, No, not quite.
Speaker 1 (47:51):
And this wasn't a fallen senator, right, no, not yet,
