Speaker 1 (00:03):
All right, time we get started on this Thursday and Joe,
Josie Jody has NASA News, which I find funny because
usually that's Sam's job. Sam is an astronaut, you know.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
I like to keep up on you know, in the
space station's flying over, rockets launched.
Speaker 3 (00:17):
And you would like to go to Mars and you
wish you would have become an astronaut.
Speaker 4 (00:20):
Is that right?
Speaker 2 (00:21):
I wanted to as a child to become an astronaut
because I wanted to either try the zero gs or
land on the Moon. And the thing with Mars now,
the people they are looking for for that, I think
are one way trips and I'm not into.
Speaker 4 (00:33):
That, right.
Speaker 2 (00:35):
You'd like they wanted volunteers for a one way trip
and it's like, I still kind of want to come back.
Speaker 3 (00:42):
Well, Sam, you know after your jeep trail ride the
other day, Yeah, you think your I'm just saying that was.
Speaker 5 (00:50):
Almost a one way trip of the woods.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
I don't know, it's the g's would be a little tough, but.
Speaker 3 (00:56):
Ryan, that's not your fault. That's just your body's equilibrium
or whatever.
Speaker 2 (00:59):
That was one off thing, and NASA does have training,
so by the time I would launch to Mars.
Speaker 5 (01:04):
I have training.
Speaker 4 (01:05):
I see.
Speaker 5 (01:06):
So what is the NASA news?
Speaker 3 (01:07):
Okay, so well I don't know the news yet. But
NASA is telling the world something today because they're doing
a press conference today about something that the Curiosity Rover
found on Mars. Okay, okay, so NASA's got a plan
press conference for today. It'll be live streamed on their
website and NASA's Facebook page.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
Don't be disappointed if this is nothing. Okay, last time
NASA had the bigo, We're going to do an announcement
about something we discovered on Mars.
Speaker 4 (01:34):
You were all excited.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
They found like an amba that was could have been
existing in a frozen river that was on Mars three
million years ago.
Speaker 5 (01:42):
Well that's like finding a needle in a haystack.
Speaker 4 (01:44):
Yeah, and the big deal for science, right for science?
Speaker 2 (01:46):
Yes, But NASA gets on there and they tout it
as we found life on Mars. Watch USA today tomorrow morning,
NASA finds life on Mars. And you start reading and
it's like, oh, but it is life.
Speaker 1 (01:57):
Why you want it to be a colony? You wanted
to be like ten people in a house exactly. If
you tell me there's life on Mars, I want to
see a Martian. You know, I want Bigfoot something.
Speaker 6 (02:06):
So you're very hard to please. Consumer The rovers snapped
the picture of the guys. He was going have to
pick up his paper.
Speaker 3 (02:11):
Sorry, Massa. Your announcement, whatever it's going to be, won't
be good enough.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
For Sam, Yeah, but it will be good enough for
the rest of you.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
Really are okay, Yeah, granted for science it will be
a big announcement, but you know you're life on Mars.
Speaker 3 (02:25):
We shall see, all right. Look coming up later today,
how to tell the sex of a bearded dragon. It's
my mission this coming weekend.
Speaker 4 (02:33):
Murphy.
Speaker 3 (02:33):
I'm sorry to tell you, but it is so. Your
son Jackson is tasting food from around the world.
Speaker 2 (02:38):
Yes, he's on a mission trip with his church, and
he's having stuff I would have never thought I could try.
Speaker 4 (02:43):
Yeah, coming out your Hollywood first one of the morning.
Val Kilmer, seen on the set of Top Gun.
Speaker 7 (02:50):
Two, Judy's Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 3 (02:55):
I've got Top Gun two news.
Speaker 5 (03:00):
Something newer than it is actually happening, right.
Speaker 3 (03:03):
Well, a little bit little something, something newer than I'm trying.
I've seen a couple of times floating around this week,
but I finally believe it's really true. Okay, So you
know that Tom Cruise has been on the set. He's
been sharing pictures from you know, all these on the
set of Top Gun Too. And one of the best
ones is Feel the Need and he's standing there holding
his Maverick helmet. The question and you were the first
(03:27):
to ask it, Sam, is val Kilmer coming back as
iceman Ice Man.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
Coming back because he was an integral part of the
first movie.
Speaker 3 (03:34):
Val Kilmer is, of course, he's been acting for many,
many years. He's had some health problems lately. In fact,
I want to say, was it last year he was
recovering from throat cancer surgery?
Speaker 2 (03:45):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (03:45):
I didn't remember that.
Speaker 3 (03:46):
Yeah, he hasn't been through it. But the word we're
hearing this week, and I like it a lot. He
was spotted at the same San Diego hotel as Tom
Cruise while being while working on Top Gun Too.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
Working on the hotel on the movie or is he
just hanging around home for Tom?
Speaker 5 (04:05):
If you need me him hear me?
Speaker 4 (04:07):
Maybe, but I don't think he sounds like that.
Speaker 5 (04:09):
Number One, are you're shooting the movie and nobody called me?
Speaker 3 (04:11):
I don't think that you would be there unless you're
in meetings about being a part of it, or you're
going over you know, read throughs or whatever. So it
looks like the iceman. Okay, Okay, moving on. You guys
know who the property Brothers are the HDTV.
Speaker 4 (04:28):
Would you want to do a big round table?
Speaker 7 (04:30):
Ground table's good for this, but if we're adding eight
feet to this room, a round table is going to
be weird in the middle.
Speaker 4 (04:37):
So I think they're twins.
Speaker 3 (04:38):
They're twins and you can't tell them apart. They sound
exactly like. But they're great with properties.
Speaker 5 (04:42):
They are awesome Isle web Houses.
Speaker 2 (04:44):
Always wind up seeing their show when I'm ever in
the doctor's office waiting, right, because that's always what's.
Speaker 4 (04:48):
On and you want to go home and do something
based on what you saw.
Speaker 3 (04:51):
They are writing a children's book Builder Brothers, Bigger Plans,
okay about these kids getting together and building a double
decker doghouse for their puppy.
Speaker 4 (05:04):
Just extending.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
Kind of sweet, it is kind of it sounds like
handy manny Manny to me. You know where the tools
came alive on the Disney Channel, Do you remember Handy Man.
Speaker 8 (05:12):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (05:12):
So they also have a memoir. By the way, a
renovation guide called it Takes two is kind of their memoir.
Look for that if you're fans.
Speaker 5 (05:18):
We don't know which one wrote it, though, right.
Speaker 4 (05:20):
They both did.
Speaker 9 (05:21):
Up to date with Judy's Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 2 (05:24):
Jody, I do need some help coming up. I want
to know how to perform CPR my dog gus hmmm, Jody,
I got to know the update on Katy Perry's puppy dog.
Speaker 4 (05:36):
Oh yeah, Nugget, Katy Perry's dog.
Speaker 3 (05:40):
It's a teacup poodle, which means it's a poodle you
could hold in your hands.
Speaker 5 (05:43):
They're really tiny.
Speaker 4 (05:44):
They make me so nervous, those little ones like that.
Speaker 5 (05:46):
I know me too.
Speaker 1 (05:47):
That's what we had a miniature as a kid, and
that's about as small as I was willing to go.
Speaker 4 (05:51):
Teacup is a whole new thing, Katie.
Speaker 3 (05:53):
This is a story from yesterday Katy Perry's teacup poodle, Nugget.
Speaker 2 (05:58):
Coincidentally, the name's Nugget. Yeah, your beer to drag.
Speaker 3 (06:00):
It passed out and then rolled off the bed and
was laying there like tongue out. Pause up, and Katie's
assistant Tamra saved its life because a couple of years ago.
I know you guys, remember that there was a viral
video of a squirrel being brought back to life, an
(06:21):
elect an electrocuted squirrel that had fallen off of a
power line or whatever. It just happened, and these people
saw it and they they literally did like chest compressions
and breathed into its little mouth and brought it and
saved it.
Speaker 4 (06:34):
Heimlick.
Speaker 3 (06:35):
Really, and so the Katy Perry's assistant did this to Nugget,
and Nugget is okay, according to Katy Perry on her
Instagram story.
Speaker 5 (06:43):
On a teacup poodle on a ta cup podle.
Speaker 1 (06:44):
Now, shae't even know where to start on that. I
know how to do it on a human, but you know,
I mean, her chest compression is the same. I guess
it's really tiny worry like with fingertips or something.
Speaker 3 (06:53):
That's what the that's what you like, little fingers, little
like no more than two probably, but you got it.
Speaker 4 (06:58):
It's the same.
Speaker 2 (06:59):
And remember song you're supposed to use, yeah, right.
Speaker 4 (07:05):
Or coincidentally yeah, stay alive.
Speaker 8 (07:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (07:08):
Well, the thing is, after I heard the story, I
went home and I was thinking of Gus, my dog.
Speaker 5 (07:12):
My dog is not a teacup poodle.
Speaker 4 (07:14):
He's the labrador ish, but you would totally do it.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
I would totally do it, and I could see doing
it for Gus because he's big and it's just the
squirrel and a tea cup poodle.
Speaker 3 (07:25):
It's delicate. Look, the thing was already in the paws
in the air. It was already almost a bad story,
like who's gonna call Katie and tell her this? But
she stepped in and saved it. I think this assistant
deserves an A rail.
Speaker 1 (07:38):
Is a big hero. But again, I mean without watching
a YouTube video. I mean saying, maybe you'd be comfortable
doing that on Gus. I don't know that would be
comfortable on any dog, because again, I don't want to
break a stern. I you know, I don't want to
do you know what I mean. I don't mean my own.
Speaker 4 (07:54):
You know, the whole thing. I mean, I would want to.
Speaker 5 (07:56):
I would want to do it right.
Speaker 10 (07:57):
You know.
Speaker 3 (07:58):
Yeah, maybe your vet, maybe our vet teach us goodness
notes at Murphy. We have five dogs at home, maybe
we should learn. Coming up next with Murphy, Sam and Jody, Okay,
we always love hearing from you. Eight seven seven three
one zero four msj jump in anytime. And Sam, your
friends who got divorced and shared it all on Facebook.
Speaker 4 (08:18):
Jointly. Holly has something to say about that. Next.
Speaker 3 (08:25):
We do love hearing from you, so you can give
us a call anytime. Eight seven seven three one zero
four msj Holly, how are you doing.
Speaker 10 (08:34):
I am good. I was just going to call and
give my little take on the people who past about
getting divorced on Facebook or Twitter.
Speaker 4 (08:43):
Right.
Speaker 10 (08:43):
I always have concerns about airing your laundry out, even
if you're doing it nicely. Yes, the stings are still
there and people are always curious and want to know
why right, and when you're saying, oh, right, we're doing
it amicably, but you're still getting divorced, so something negative
occur and people are curious. It's one of those very
vulnerable times in life. I think you need to take
(09:05):
a big step back. Take a lot of times there's
children involved and kids see this stuff, and I really
worry about the impact that has on the children a lot.
You know, Mom and Dad, maybe it didn't work out.
Speaker 4 (09:16):
We get that.
Speaker 10 (09:17):
More adults, we have to handle that, but the kids
don't need to have that strewn in front of them
as well. You know, people need to forget about the children.
They're so busy thinking about themselves. But hello, you know,
those kids are so important. They're already dealing with a lot,
and it'd be nice to kind of close ranks and
be really protective of the children at that point. That's
(09:37):
my personal take, especially when there's a couple that you
may have known for like twenty years. Yeah, and that's hard,
and you're like, we want to be friends with both
of you guys as.
Speaker 3 (09:45):
That goal, you know, that's the hope that you can
still remain friends. But truly, you end up being closer
to one more than the other.
Speaker 10 (09:52):
Like you're required to pick sides, and that breaks my heart.
Speaker 3 (09:56):
But I don't like that feeling either. Well, look, thank
you for talking all this since this morning.
Speaker 4 (10:03):
You got it.
Speaker 2 (10:04):
Actually, actually, you know, I don't know whose side I'm
gonna pick this yet. I guess it depends on.
Speaker 5 (10:08):
For your friends that did it, who offers the most
you know.
Speaker 4 (10:11):
Oh right, competition now yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3 (10:14):
No, Honestly, it's who you're closer closest to and who
you knew first.
Speaker 2 (10:19):
Really usually honestly, one of the couples that's doing this,
I know them both very close, so there's no picking.
I mean, nice there's no picking sides. I'm well friendly
with everybody.
Speaker 3 (10:28):
I'm not saying you should pick sides. Yeah, you absolutely not.
You should not.
Speaker 4 (10:31):
I'm saying does it happen naturally?
Speaker 5 (10:33):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (10:34):
Absolutely it does.
Speaker 3 (10:36):
Look give us a call anytime eight seven seven three
one zero four ms J coming up with Murphy's Sam
and Jody saying, we can't wait to tell you about
our little liar at the house that we have at
least for the next couple of weeks.
Speaker 1 (10:51):
Reach out to you any time eight seven seven three
one oh four MSJ. You can call us, or you
can text us, and of course you can always message
us on Facebook.
Speaker 3 (10:58):
Also, okay, I told you that our girls are doing
a play this They're in a camp right now and
they're doing Shrek the Musical.
Speaker 5 (11:06):
Cool. It was on Netflix forever. You have not watched
it on.
Speaker 3 (11:12):
The Broadway version. It's really fun. I think it's funnier
if that's possible, I really do. Okay, So, and they're
both doing it together, which is so cool. A couple
of summers ago, they did The Lion King, and this
is an interesting little lesson, especially for theater and something
that kids need to know. When they did Lion King. Together,
Phoebe got a role that she really wanted, and that
(11:34):
was Nala Young Nala, and Taylor got ed Hyena, and
at first she didn't want that role, and then she
was just like, you know what, I'm just gonna rock
it and do it. And she did a great job.
And that's one of the things that one of their
theater teachers has always said. In theater, sometimes you get
the role you really really want and sometimes you don't,
(11:54):
but you still have to show up and do your
job because every single role, whether you're doing lighting or
tech or the lead role acting, it makes that's what
takes to make the show happen. Everybody counts, and so
this time she liked the musical auditions happened Phoebe. I'm
not sure what she really wanted, but she got cast
as the ugly duckling, one of the fairy tale characters.
(12:16):
She's got some dance numbers and stuff, but it's not
what she She wasn't in love with that. On the
audition day, Taylor wanted Pinocchio and got Pinocchio. It's kind
of like the opposite thing happened this time, and she's
been practicing already around the house I cleared it with
her that we could share this with you.
Speaker 4 (12:34):
Sam.
Speaker 3 (12:35):
This is her first night home with the music in
front of her, rehearsing and rehearsing out.
Speaker 8 (12:40):
Of on my nose.
Speaker 11 (12:41):
That's just how it goes for poor Pinocchio.
Speaker 12 (12:47):
Story of my life, always doomed to fiel chet guy
a fox swow a way off.
Speaker 5 (12:56):
Story of my life. Oh yeah, awesome story.
Speaker 2 (13:01):
So you said she was going for Pornocchiocha, she does
this around my house.
Speaker 3 (13:07):
He loves that role in the movie and walks around,
you know, doing the voice all the time. It's like,
that's what she wanted, and she let them know she
wanted that. So it was really funny for her to
get that.
Speaker 5 (13:17):
It's awesome.
Speaker 3 (13:17):
Now if she rehearses every night for two weeks like this,
I'm gonna be worried about that voice.
Speaker 1 (13:23):
Yeah, that's that's the thing is. It's a tough one
to maintain. It's a strain.
Speaker 5 (13:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (13:28):
Yeah, we've seen kids lose their voice by opening night, right,
So we're gonna try to try to take a break
every other day from rehearsing too much at night. Coming
out Hollywood, the things you didn't know Bradley Cooper could do.
Speaker 4 (13:41):
He's doing them with Lady Gaga. We'll tell you about it.
Speaker 7 (13:44):
Next Judy's Hollywood Outside.
Speaker 3 (13:48):
Until yesterday, I had mark my marks my calendar, a
personal one about what I most wanted to see at
the movies this year, and it was that it's the
queen biopic thing I can't wait to see. However, yesterday
a trailer landed for the World and I watched it
quite a few times.
Speaker 2 (14:03):
I saw this a few times for a Star is Born.
Speaker 4 (14:05):
Goose bumps.
Speaker 3 (14:06):
For Bradley Cooper really singing and playing this musician and
Lady Gaga some serious acting. It looks like the most
authentic thing you've ever seen. I can't wait. Okay, so
you're ready for Bradley Cooper singing.
Speaker 4 (14:22):
Maybe it's no lip syncing, He's really singing. It's down.
Speaker 5 (14:32):
It looks amazing, grilly amazing.
Speaker 4 (14:36):
I want to be in it.
Speaker 3 (14:39):
And by the way, Bradley Cooper directed this. You know,
the first time I ever saw him, it was in
the Hangover.
Speaker 4 (14:47):
I think, yeah, I'm thinking, oh, he's.
Speaker 3 (14:49):
Pretty, and hasn't he come such a long way all
the time he's spent with like Clint Eastwood and this
is just a project you know that he wanted to
do for such a long time. So he is is
really talented. I didn't know he could sing like that.
Speaker 5 (15:03):
Me neither.
Speaker 2 (15:03):
And there's so many parts in the movie where he
is singing and it's just like wow every time.
Speaker 3 (15:08):
Yeah, So this is that story. It's it's a real
look into the music business. You know, he's on the
down slope I guess, you'd say, of his career, and
he's got all these demons, and then he discovers this
young singer who's got her own I guess she's kind
of getting in her own way, and Lady Gaga can
It's not like you've thought of her before.
Speaker 4 (15:27):
I don't sing my own songs.
Speaker 8 (15:29):
Why, I just don't feel comfortable. Oh when you feel comfortable.
Speaker 5 (15:34):
Almost every single person who's told me they like the
way it sounded, but that they didn't like the way
I look.
Speaker 8 (15:39):
I think you're beautiful, but.
Speaker 4 (15:42):
She doesn't look like the mother monster does look like
this awkward girl.
Speaker 5 (15:46):
I'm so glad though.
Speaker 2 (15:47):
It's like the strip of the Lady Gaga makeup and
she just looks real.
Speaker 8 (15:51):
I know.
Speaker 4 (15:53):
It makes it feels like a real love story.
Speaker 5 (15:56):
Well, it's part of it.
Speaker 4 (15:57):
Yeah, I kind of kind of get the feeling.
Speaker 3 (15:59):
I'm gonna leave the with some tears and a soundtrack
that we're gonna go gaga for. So, by the way,
you can catch the trailer if you haven't seen it
yet and you want some goosebumps this morning. It's so
worth it. Check it out on our Facebook page. It's
called A Star is Born. Coming up in your next
Hollywood outside of this morning around seven fifty five. Why
(16:21):
has Johnny Depp lost so much weight up to date
with Shody's Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 1 (16:30):
Hey, when you get a chance today like us on Facebook,
do that while you're surfing today. That way you'll always
get notifications whenever we go Facebook Live and new posts
and all that fun stuff and podcasts.
Speaker 4 (16:40):
Very two feet and grab.
Speaker 3 (16:42):
Okay, you know we do our taste of summer recipes
and we're so happy to bring those to you every summer.
This one this year's really good. There's an easy key
lime pie. There's a holly cleg pistachio ice cream pie
which we've all sampled and it's incredible.
Speaker 5 (16:56):
Read apple.
Speaker 3 (16:56):
Yeah, okay, best ever steak marinade. Go grab that recipe
when you first off ice cream that was kind of sketchy.
Like I told you, we fixed it. I think we're
fixing it.
Speaker 5 (17:06):
Yeah, pine cream man, the one that needs to be
thickened up a little bit.
Speaker 4 (17:09):
Yes, okay, smarties.
Speaker 5 (17:11):
It's not sketchy, it's just soupy. Yeah, it's still taste.
Speaker 4 (17:15):
It's creamy and drinkabowl anyway.
Speaker 1 (17:18):
Actually it's more like an it's kind of like icy
to make you sense soup. He is not really fair,
you know, but anyway, Yes, you can fix anything with
a little heavy whipping cream.
Speaker 3 (17:26):
Okay, look, I wanted to tell you and throw a
new recipe into the mix this time what I whipped
up last night, Murphy, I'd never really done it this way.
We like to cook shrimp often. Yeah, I'll throw some
shrimp in a pan and like, hey, what do you
wanna do with it? Added tapasa, throw it on salad.
Speaker 4 (17:39):
What do you want to do?
Speaker 5 (17:40):
It sounds like red lobster and shrimps can.
Speaker 4 (17:46):
Sounds like mister Gump. No, but so we did.
Speaker 3 (17:49):
We had I realized when looking in the refrigerator we
had everything for like tacos or fijidas. So we did
shrimp tacos fajitas. If you will threw the the shrimp
I had already saw I take some onions. I didn't
have any peppers. Oh well, and I did shrimp and
I did taco seasoning on it, and everybody did.
Speaker 4 (18:08):
Of course.
Speaker 3 (18:08):
It's like a being a short ardor cook at our house.
Because the girls like flower tortillas, Murphy wants corn tortillas.
It's just something different for everybody.
Speaker 5 (18:16):
Everybody's got a little different taste.
Speaker 3 (18:18):
But we did shrimp tacos and it took five minutes.
It took less time than regular tacos, and they were awesome.
Speaker 5 (18:24):
How did they taste with the taco seasoning? Was it good?
Speaker 4 (18:26):
Better than I expected?
Speaker 3 (18:28):
Right? Better than I expected? So can you make your own,
do your own, or just use one of the packets
like I did? Right?
Speaker 5 (18:34):
Yeah, it was good.
Speaker 3 (18:36):
Shrimp tacos a five minute summertime recipe, even healthy as
long as you don't put too much queso on it.
Murphy Salmon Jody dot Com to get them.
Speaker 8 (18:45):
All coming up with Murphy's Salmon.
Speaker 3 (18:48):
One of my main missions in life this weekend will
be figuring out figuring out the sex is of the
Bearded Dragons.
Speaker 4 (18:55):
Tell you how we plan to do that?
Speaker 5 (18:57):
Yeah, I know why you want to do that.
Speaker 1 (19:00):
It has to do with their containers and where they're located,
where they're kept.
Speaker 2 (19:04):
I got to tell you about my son, Jackson, who's
on a mission trip with his church right now. Sam,
they're doing something really cool. They're getting to eat all
these foods. I can't even get him to eat at home.
Speaker 1 (19:16):
Sam's all pumped up today because his son is going
to well, one of his sons is going to get
a culinary experience or culinary expansion.
Speaker 2 (19:24):
He is my son, Jackson, who's fourteen, is on his
mission trip with church, the youth group. And by the way,
this is the they do a mystery mission trip. We
love that the kids all show up pack you don't
know where you're going to kind of give him an
idea where they bring warm clothes or you know, cold
clothes or whatever. And they go somewhere and it's like.
Speaker 5 (19:39):
This is where we're going.
Speaker 4 (19:40):
Yeah, very cool.
Speaker 2 (19:41):
And while they're there they're doing mission work, yes, but
they're using this to teach them about different cultures this
time around, because every night they're going to eat at
a different ethnic restaurant.
Speaker 4 (19:51):
Nice and first they're really going there, right like first.
Speaker 2 (19:54):
Couple of nights. He ate Ethiopian, which huh. You can
just told me Jackson was going to eat Ethiopian food,
I'd say, yeah, right sure, and he loved it because
there was lamb involved. And then he had Vietnamese, he
had fu. Yeah, loved kids love. I'm so happy because
now I can take him. And then he had Yemen
(20:14):
I don't know if it's Yemenese Yeman food as well.
And then they're also going to have soul food, which
he's looking.
Speaker 8 (20:21):
At not a lot.
Speaker 1 (20:22):
Yeah, that's an American tradition there, baby man, that's going
to be mac and cheese and greens and frints chicken.
Speaker 3 (20:29):
You know what this idea, This is a wonderful idea
by whoever the youth leader here or whatever. But also
can you see that it also could backfire where every
kid is starving because nobody will eat it.
Speaker 4 (20:40):
I could see that happening.
Speaker 3 (20:42):
Yeah, you're always almost always taking a chance when you
introduce something like this to a group of kids, right.
Speaker 1 (20:46):
You know, My sister was an exchange student when she
was in college and spent one summer in Spain, and
that's kind of what happened because the dishes weren't you know.
I mean you would think Spanish dishes. Wow, I love
all that stuff, but of course we eat the americanized
versions of right, and so it was being cooked at home.
There were some things that she just couldn't do for
whatever reason.
Speaker 4 (21:04):
Oh man, So she didn't eat while she was there.
Speaker 1 (21:07):
No, and it kind of caused a little rift between
her and the house. You know, mother, I've.
Speaker 4 (21:13):
Never heard this story. Okay, I am definitely gonna find it.
Speaker 5 (21:16):
Okayay, go to your room, eat your pay or get
to the room.
Speaker 4 (21:21):
Oh man.
Speaker 2 (21:22):
Now, I don't know if I'm I have to learn
how to cook Ethiopian food when you.
Speaker 3 (21:25):
Come, right, because Jackson's the one who likes to watch
YouTube videos and learn how to cook new stuff.
Speaker 2 (21:30):
But I'm all for it. I'll find a place so
we can go eat there.
Speaker 5 (21:32):
It's gonna be awesome.
Speaker 8 (21:34):
Coming up next with Murphy's Damn and Jody.
Speaker 1 (21:36):
There's the reason Jody wants our bearded dragons just been
part of the weekend on their backs.
Speaker 5 (21:41):
R and R.
Speaker 1 (21:45):
Call us from textas anytime easy to do at eight
seven seven three one zero four MSJ you can do
both the same number.
Speaker 3 (21:51):
Okay, guys, it's time for our bearded dragons at home, Murphy,
you know this. I've been hinting at this for weeks
at home, that it's time for no Get one of
them to get an upgrade. He's in the original terrarium
that he arrived in at Christmas time, and Ogi has
already bumped himself up to a well bumped. We bought
a bigger terrarium for Ogie because Ogi was growing twice
(22:14):
the speed, right, and it's time for Nugget to have
a little bit more maroon. Poor thing when he when
he poops in his terrarium, poor thing, he gets to
the other end of it and just sticks his head
the other way in the glass, like, get me out
of here, because I'm stuck in here with this.
Speaker 1 (22:29):
The way you say that makes it sound like some
sort of a quote a grandfather would say, Well, you
know what happens when he poops in the terrarium.
Speaker 5 (22:34):
He pecked up. I'm sorry I did around the house.
He poops around the house.
Speaker 1 (22:38):
Yeah, you know the thing is, and I understand I
know where you're going with this, because you know how
I am with this too. In my head, there's a
ceiling on the amount we're going to spend on these,
you know what I mean, love them. They'll get the
care they need. But I do not want to continue
to buy. Joni has this thing with like, whether it's
fish or bearded dragons, every time I turn around, it
needs to be bigger, It needs to be bigger.
Speaker 3 (22:58):
This is not my idea, Murphy. This is a fact
that we knew we were gonna have to go up
in terrarium size. As he gets bigger, he can barely
turn around in there. Now that's not cool.
Speaker 4 (23:09):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (23:09):
And you know the fish, though you could probably just
keep them in wine.
Speaker 4 (23:13):
We will. They're stock forever. In the first I.
Speaker 1 (23:15):
Promise you that there will be no bigger aquarium than
the twenty gallon we've gotten. Now, we're not gonna load
them up with anyway.
Speaker 4 (23:24):
Okay, So here's the deal. Is the deal.
Speaker 3 (23:25):
Our dream would be for these two beardies to be
together in a terrarium, right, okay, and just get one
big one and be done with it.
Speaker 5 (23:34):
However, there's some nature effects we've got to be aware of.
Speaker 3 (23:37):
They've been kept apart because we didn't know the sex
of them. We don't know if they're boys girls, a
boy or a girl whatever and girl and we can't.
The last time I called the vet the exotic Vet,
I was told you can bring them and try, but
they probably are still too young to know for sure.
So here's my I'm gonna try. I'm gonna put them
in a thing this week, both of them, and bring
(23:59):
them and hopefully because if they're both females, were set
they can live together.
Speaker 1 (24:04):
Right exactly. If they're males, you can't because they'll fight. Yeah,
and obviously if male female, then you're going to continue
to breed.
Speaker 5 (24:11):
We don't want to that.
Speaker 4 (24:13):
Yeah, not about that.
Speaker 1 (24:14):
My question is do we have to bring the magnifying
glass and tweezers for this?
Speaker 3 (24:20):
Why?
Speaker 4 (24:20):
Why they're no tweezers.
Speaker 3 (24:22):
Actually, you're feeling for one bump or two bumps from
what I understand, and I haven't been able to feel
it myself, and I'm not an exotic vet. So that's
my mission. Over the next few days.
Speaker 8 (24:34):
Sam's got music news.
Speaker 2 (24:36):
Justin Bieber is going to be the God of Love
in an upcoming movie.
Speaker 4 (24:41):
Really, okay, it's the Fight.
Speaker 2 (24:43):
It's an animated movie. Okay, he's going to be the
voice of Cupid.
Speaker 4 (24:47):
Oh that's cute.
Speaker 5 (24:48):
That's cute.
Speaker 2 (24:49):
It's the the folks that one of the producers of
this movie also produced some of the Iron Man movies
and Avengers movies and the Angry Birds movie, and they're
teaming up with Justin's manager, and so they're like, hmm,
who could we get to voice Cupid in this movie?
Speaker 4 (25:04):
We got just I don't know yet.
Speaker 2 (25:06):
I don't know if this is like really in the
early stages, but they've announced that they've lined him up
for the voice of Cupid. Okay, you know today is
a pretty big day in the life of Prince It's
his birthday.
Speaker 5 (25:19):
It would have been sixty today.
Speaker 1 (25:22):
Do you really wow, that's a game we can play
for all eternity, just so you know.
Speaker 2 (25:29):
And one of the UK this is really kind of odd.
One of the folks who worked in the camera crew
on one of his movies put together a little tour
in Henderson, Minnesota, where they shot some of the scenes
for the movie. So this fans are gathering there for
a three day thing. This isn't the official, licensed, family
approved one that took place in Minneapolis a few months ago.
This is going on for three days in Henderson, Minnesota.
(25:51):
They're going to take you around on a bus and
show you difference, like the house where they shot different
different parts. There's gonna be a screening of the movie
and you get to meet certain members of the Prince family.
Speaker 3 (26:03):
Okay, you're saying the movie you mean Purple Ramble. Yeah,
because he did more than one movie. That was just
the one.
Speaker 2 (26:09):
It's a big one, and they're they're promising a few
special guests as well, quotation marks.
Speaker 4 (26:14):
You know that could be anybody.
Speaker 2 (26:15):
The money that is raised from this is going to
go to paint a mural in this town of Henderson
of Prince leaning against a red Corvette.
Speaker 4 (26:22):
M I need to see that. Okay.
Speaker 2 (26:25):
Also, there's another biopick in the works, another movie biopick
in the works.
Speaker 3 (26:28):
Okay, Glenn Campbell, Okay, t Talker be in this one too.
I don't know, I think rightly so.
Speaker 2 (26:37):
Glenn passing away of August of last year, and his
wife has decided to go ahead and work with Hollywood
producers to put together a biopick some of the people.
Speaker 1 (26:46):
It's a it's a very it's a very deep and
kind of complex story.
Speaker 2 (26:52):
A lot of good music to the folks that put
together Walk the Line.
Speaker 4 (26:56):
Johnny Cash, Yeah, I love that movie.
Speaker 2 (26:58):
They're working with her on this and we still don't
have a glen cast, but oh I got that one.
Speaker 3 (27:04):
Walk the Line with Walking Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon probably
one of my top five favorite movies of all time.
Speaker 1 (27:10):
Top five favorite music movies or top five movies reales.
Speaker 3 (27:13):
Can't watch it without tears, can't do it, Okay, Murphy Salmon,
Jody Music News on the Way your email answered in
our producer's mail bag.
Speaker 4 (27:21):
What do we have on the way, Bailey, Jody?
Speaker 13 (27:23):
One of your most recent not so serious book club
entries is keeping Mono on the edge of her seat.
Speaker 4 (27:27):
Awesome.
Speaker 5 (27:31):
Reach out to us anytime.
Speaker 1 (27:32):
It's so easy to do on Facebook, on Instagram, or
of course you can call us at eight seven seven
three one zero four ms. J.
Speaker 8 (27:39):
Murphy's Salmon Jody, The Producer's mail.
Speaker 4 (27:41):
Bag, Bailey, what's in your bag today?
Speaker 13 (27:43):
Well, Jody, uh, you'll have been trying to find You've
been trying to find a toaster recently, right.
Speaker 4 (27:48):
Oh my gosh, Murphy, so difficult, so tough. Where do
you find those No, No four slice toaster?
Speaker 3 (27:53):
And I started shopping online and then that's when three
thousand reviews came up, and it was like it's overwhelming
people's reviews, and I really am about to just buy
a toaster.
Speaker 4 (28:04):
And hope you don't hate it. Murphy. That's kind of
my fear, you know.
Speaker 3 (28:07):
Yeah, it seems that other people hate it's a toaster. Well,
go online and you'll see what's to hate.
Speaker 5 (28:16):
The thing is. Even the worst toaster in the world
probably still makes decent toast.
Speaker 13 (28:20):
Yeah, okay, okay, Well Brian's had some similar problems. Okay,
but his problem was that force slices was just not enough.
He says he's now turned to the oven because he
likes cream chipped beef on toast.
Speaker 5 (28:36):
Wow, you know what my grandmother used to make that?
Speaker 4 (28:38):
Yeah, that that dried beef that you like in that that?
Speaker 5 (28:42):
Yeah, I never heard about it. Yeah, it's yeah.
Speaker 1 (28:44):
The whole chip beef thing, which was I guess was
like a World War two stable, so that whole generation
right started using it regularly. Almost nobody does now. But
it's not bad. You would think it's bad, but it's not.
Speaker 3 (28:56):
I will tell you that in my experience in the kitchen,
which is a lot actually, if you really want some
delicious toasts, put it in the oven.
Speaker 13 (29:04):
Yeah, that's what that's what Brian was saying. Yeah, you
can't find a toaster that's really suiting your needs to
boil and put it on the top rack boom.
Speaker 1 (29:12):
That's just that's a lot of time, you know what
I mean. It is really I mean, and they do
make eight slice toasters.
Speaker 5 (29:18):
I'm fine with you know, you just decided to dive
into that.
Speaker 4 (29:21):
We're gonna get it for it's going to be over.
I'm buying it.
Speaker 13 (29:23):
So oh you would always find the medium you can
get a toaster oven.
Speaker 2 (29:28):
We sure have dedicated a lot of time to talking
about a toaster.
Speaker 10 (29:32):
I know.
Speaker 4 (29:32):
I'm sorry, Thank you, Brian, Thank you, Brian.
Speaker 13 (29:35):
Well, Mona is also she wants to comment about the
books that you the books that you've been reading, Okay.
Mona says that she just finished reading The Outsider by
Stephen King.
Speaker 3 (29:44):
That's the new Stephen King. I cannot wait to get
my hands on. I'm scared.
Speaker 4 (29:47):
Actually yeah, she said.
Speaker 13 (29:49):
It pretty much kept her on the edge of her seat,
and it also reminded me that she's never read the
third Bill Hodge's book, also by Stephen King. The End
of Watch was also extremely there's a trilogy.
Speaker 4 (30:01):
Yeah, there you go, There you go.
Speaker 3 (30:03):
The Outsider is about a dude who's like new in town,
and then I think he's blamed for the disappearance of
a child Outsider Scary The Outsider. Thank you, Mona. We
love to hear about what you're reading. You can always
check out our Not So Serious book club also at
Murphysamon Jody dot Com. Coming out Hollywood, So why has
Johnny Depp lost so much weight? And Top Gun two
(30:25):
News with Val Kilmer.
Speaker 7 (30:29):
Judy's Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 3 (30:31):
So by this time, have you seen the pictures of
Johnny Depp recently that you know fans saw him were like,
oh my gosh, what's wrong with Johnny? He looks really skinny. No, no, no,
not healthy like this either, like I'm filled out. He
looks very different in the recent publicity photos. That's that
(30:54):
started swimming around this week.
Speaker 5 (30:56):
Oh is he getting ready for a role?
Speaker 2 (30:58):
No?
Speaker 3 (30:58):
Apparently, according to an insider, first of all, he did
look different to me, but I didn't think he looked sick.
And some fans were like, oh my gosh, Johnny Depp
is sick, And I'm thinking no, he's probably just getting older, right,
And but he does look a little different. He's been
touring Europe right now with his band called the Hollywood Vampires.
(31:18):
You know he does this Holly, what a great name
for a band, and they are Hollywood Vampires because he's
you know, he's not the only famous person in the band.
It's Alice Cooper and Joe Perry also in this band,
and they've been touring around and he was spotted and
it's like so a person close to Johnny told a
media source. Look, he purposely lost the weight because he's
(31:39):
trying to take better care of himself and stay in shape.
Speaker 4 (31:42):
And he's healthy and he's joying. He's enjoying his time
on the.
Speaker 5 (31:44):
Road, the rock and roll lifestyle.
Speaker 4 (31:46):
Ooh, apparently not always.
Speaker 3 (31:49):
It's got some you know, interesting stuff swirling around him,
lawsuits and things like that. He owes some people some
money that he denies he owes it. Otherwise, he's happy
living his dream of being in a band.
Speaker 4 (32:01):
All right.
Speaker 3 (32:01):
Moving on to this top Gun two news that was
so exciting that this is even underway for me. And
then another piece of news that came down this week. Yeah,
because we know that Val Kilmer was staying at the
same hotel in San Diego as Tom Cruise. Top and
No it's it's now pretty much been confirmed he's back.
(32:23):
He's gonna be back as iceman of course. Good Yeah,
and maybe he will still sort of be an adversary.
Speaker 4 (32:30):
That's what I'm thinking if I were a writer.
Speaker 2 (32:31):
They're all mature, more mature in this movie, so hopefully they're.
Speaker 3 (32:35):
All Maverick will be one of the instructors right at
top gun this time.
Speaker 4 (32:40):
You get it, So what will that? What will that
make Val Kilmer?
Speaker 3 (32:42):
I don't know, probably an adversarial instructor, but mister super
excited about it. Coming up in your next Hollywood Outsider
this morning around eight thirty, Bradley Cooper is doing things
you didn't know he could do with Lady Gaga.
Speaker 9 (32:57):
Up to date with Shoney's Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 1 (33:02):
Come hang out with us after the show today. It's
always a lot of fun. It's the After the Show

Speaker 5 (33:13):
Jody, do you use a lot of emojis?
Speaker 3 (33:16):
You know, sometimes like a whole ever seeing when I
post sometimes yes.
Speaker 1 (33:21):
Jody will send some emojis. I get hearts from her
every now and then, Sam, you know which.
Speaker 4 (33:25):
I should write, right, Yes, Murphy.
Speaker 1 (33:27):
Hire a one emoji guy, Oh thumbs up, no smiley face.
And it's always done with the colon, the dash and
the parentheses. And it's not because I moved too fast
that don't really take the time to go search for emojis.
Speaker 4 (33:41):
Yeah yeah, but.
Speaker 5 (33:42):
You know there's like twenty eight hundred emojis now. It's ridiculous,
so it's really kind of.
Speaker 2 (33:46):
Hard to go search. They've added just a new batch
of one hundred and fifty seven. And the reason I
bring this up, Jody, is because they've now added redheaded emojis.
What And it surprised me because I was talking to
producer Bailey about this.
Speaker 5 (33:58):
It's like, I need to have redhead ones.
Speaker 2 (34:00):
And we went back and looked and all the people emojis,
there's no redheaded ones.
Speaker 5 (34:04):
M but they missed that. Emojis have been around for
a long time.
Speaker 3 (34:08):
Wait, well, I'll tell you how, having been a redhead
of my entire life, my own they're only redhead in
my entire elementary school. It's less than ten percent of
the population are natural redheads. Less than ten percent. You know,
weird gene mutation. You've you heard it.
Speaker 5 (34:24):
You're special.
Speaker 4 (34:25):
Yeah, that's what Grandma says.
Speaker 2 (34:27):
I wonder if Prince Harry getting married had anything to
do with it.
Speaker 3 (34:29):
Eh, Ginger Ginger. So I just need to look in
my stuff now and.
Speaker 5 (34:34):
Find not being there just yet.
Speaker 2 (34:36):
The folks that create these have put them out there,
but sometimes for iPhones and galaxies and all that, it
takes a while, okay, and until an update comes along.
Speaker 1 (34:44):
There are bazillion emoji apps, so it really depends on
who designed them.
Speaker 3 (34:48):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (34:48):
True, I don't know if it'll be a one size
fits all, but that would be cool.
Speaker 3 (34:52):
Tell you who else has made Ginger's popular again? Not
that the whatever for men is ed Sharon. Sharon has
made the male Ginger hot and lovable and so Prince
Harry forever for me?
Speaker 1 (35:06):
All right, So I'll give you a thumbs up emoji
on that one, which, by the way, is the only
one I ever ever seen.
Speaker 5 (35:11):
Sam use is the thumbs up? Well that's not true.
There's the dog on the other one with the finger
that a lot of time.
Speaker 3 (35:20):
Just stop, okay, coming up with Murphy's Sam and Jody,
you get a little liar at our house and we're
gonna expose it. It's not exactly what you think. It's
kind of sweet actually tell you about that on the way. Also, Sam,
there's a NASA press conference today and I know you're
going to be front row.
Speaker 4 (35:35):
Do it next?
Speaker 5 (35:39):
All right? Tom?
Speaker 1 (35:40):
We get started on this Thursday and Joe, Josie, Jody
has NASA News, which I find funny because usually that's
Sam's job.
Speaker 5 (35:48):
Sam is our astronaut, you know.
Speaker 2 (35:49):
I like to keep up on you know, in the
space station's flying over, rockets launched, and you would.
Speaker 3 (35:54):
Like to go to Mars and you wish you would
have become an astronaut.
Speaker 4 (35:57):
Is that right?
Speaker 2 (35:58):
I wanted to as a child to become an astronaut
because I wanted to either try the zero gs or
land on the Moon. And the thing with Mars now,
the people that are looking for for that, I think
are one way trips and I'm not into.
Speaker 4 (36:10):
That, right, you'd like you back.
Speaker 2 (36:13):
They wanted volunteers for a one way trip, and it's like,
I still kind of want to come back.
Speaker 3 (36:19):
Well, Sam, you know after your jeep trail ride the
other day, Yeah, you think your body I'm just saying
think it was.
Speaker 5 (36:27):
Almost a one way trip of the woods. I don't know,
it's the g's would be a little tough, but.
Speaker 3 (36:33):
Ryan, that's not your fault. That's just your body's equilibrium
or whatever.
Speaker 2 (36:36):
That was a one off thing. And NASA does have training,
so by the time I would launch the Mars, I
got it have training.
Speaker 4 (36:42):
I see.
Speaker 5 (36:42):
So what is the NASA news?
Speaker 3 (36:44):
Okay, so, well I don't know the news yet, but
NASA is telling the world something today because they're doing
a press conference today about about something that the Curiosity
Rover found on Mars. Okay, okay, so NASA's got a
planned press conference for It'll be live streamed on their
website and NASA's Facebook page.
Speaker 2 (37:04):
Don't be disappointed if this is nothing. Okay, last time
NASA had the big we're gonna do an announcement about
something we discovered.
Speaker 4 (37:11):
On Mars, you were all excited.
Speaker 2 (37:12):
They found like an amba that was could have been
existing in a frozen river that was on Mars three
million years ago.
Speaker 5 (37:20):
Well, that's like finding a needle in a haystack.
Speaker 4 (37:22):
Yeah, that's a big deal for science, right for science?
Speaker 2 (37:24):
Yes, But NASA gets on there and they tout it
as we found life on Mars. Watch USA today tomorrow morning,
NASA finds life on Mars and you start reading and
it's like, oh, but.
Speaker 5 (37:34):
It is life.
Speaker 1 (37:34):
Why you want it to be a colony? You wanted
to be like ten people in the house exactly. If
you tell me there's life on Mars. I want to
see a Martian, you know, I want Bigfoot something.
Speaker 6 (37:44):
So you're very hard to please. Consumer the rovers snapped
the picture of the guys. He was going on to
pick up his paper.
Speaker 3 (37:49):
Sorry, NASA, your announcement, whatever it's going to be, won't
be good enough for Sam.
Speaker 5 (37:54):
Yeah, but it will be good enough for the rest
of it.
Speaker 2 (37:56):
You really are or okay, yeah, granted for science it
will be a big announcement, but you know, yeah, your
life on Mars.
Speaker 3 (38:03):
We shall see coming up next with Murphy, Sam and
Josie saying, we can't wait to tell you about our
little liar at the house.
Speaker 4 (38:11):
We'll have at least for two weeks.
Speaker 3 (38:15):
So Murphy and I have a little liar at the
house for the next couple of weeks. It's not as
bad as it sounds. In fact, it's really cute. So
both of our girls, Taylor and Phoebe are doing a
theater camp a theater production. It's Trek the Musical, and
Phoebe got cast as part of the fairytale one of
the fairy tale characters, the ugly duckling, right, which she
(38:36):
wasn't in love with, But that also happens in theater.
Sometimes it's like you get a part that she didn't
really love, but she's having it.
Speaker 5 (38:43):
She'll do it, she'll do great with it.
Speaker 1 (38:45):
And by the way, you know Trek the Musical if
you haven't seen it, it was on Netflix for a while.
You know, it was a Broadway show, right, and they
filmed it and so it lives. It has its own soundtrack.
And it took me the first time looking at it
going well, wait, I like the animated but then want
to check out into it. It's an awesome musical. They've
been huge fans. So when this camp came up where
it was going to be shred and musical.
Speaker 2 (39:05):
So after since everybody's getting parts after the camp, they
actually put the production on.
Speaker 3 (39:09):
Yeah, you audition, You auditioned the first day, you camp
and rehearse your face off for two weeks and then
you perform like two shows and.
Speaker 5 (39:17):
That they're getting to do it together.
Speaker 3 (39:18):
Yeah, and so Taylor really wanted the role of Pinocchio,
and she got it, which is exciting, you know, because
you don't always get what you want, especially in that
life and that world.
Speaker 4 (39:31):
So she was rehearsing at home last night. Are you
ready out.
Speaker 8 (39:35):
Of my nose?
Speaker 11 (39:36):
That's just how it goes for poor Pinocchi. Yo, story of.
Speaker 12 (39:43):
My life, always doomed to fiel jet guy a fox,
swoll my whale.
Speaker 5 (39:50):
That's the story of my life.
Speaker 12 (39:52):
Oh yeah, that's the story of my life.
Speaker 1 (39:57):
Oh man, it's and she, of course that's a first
time just kind of you know, caring, playing around. You know,
she's got two weeks to rehearse this.
Speaker 3 (40:04):
And be on stage and be very animated with this.
So we're kind of excited about it. But I'm trying
to remind her not to overpractice. She's done that before
where she's over you know, rehearsed and by the time
in the voice, Yeah, I worry about.
Speaker 5 (40:16):
You doing a specialty voice like that.
Speaker 1 (40:18):
It's almost like you need to have a voice coach
to help you just with that, because I mean, even
when I'm clowning around on the movie, you know, impersonating him,
it hurts my.
Speaker 5 (40:26):
Throat, you know what.
Speaker 3 (40:27):
I mean, yeah, I need to think about that for
her and remind her about that. But I will say this,
I love that our kids are into theater because it
introduces me to this. I was not exposed to theater
when I was in school growing up.
Speaker 5 (40:40):
Don't shake your head wait at all.
Speaker 4 (40:43):
At all?
Speaker 3 (40:44):
There was There were no theater productions at the school
I went to. It was sports and things like that. Anyway,
I totally would have gotten into it. And I love
that I get to experience watching.
Speaker 4 (40:55):
Them do this.
Speaker 5 (40:56):
Yeah. Absolutely, and there's a.
Speaker 4 (40:58):
Lot of benefit to it.
Speaker 8 (40:59):
So excited coming up Hollywood.
Speaker 3 (41:04):
Bradley Cooper doing things with Lady Goga we didn't know
he could do. And it's exciting.
Speaker 4 (41:08):
We have it.
Speaker 7 (41:09):
Next Jody's Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 3 (41:14):
So the best movie trailer I've I've seen for anything
coming out this year.
Speaker 5 (41:17):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (41:19):
I watched it six times yesterday. It gave me goosebumps.
Bradley Cooper and Lady gug got in A Star is Born.
Speaker 8 (41:25):
Maybe It's down.
Speaker 4 (41:28):
This is really him singing. Maybe it's down.
Speaker 5 (41:34):
I didn't know he could sing.
Speaker 4 (41:35):
I know he plays a musician.
Speaker 3 (41:38):
It's kind of like I guess at the down, the
turning point of his career, battling like alcoholism demons, and
then he tries to help this young and upcoming singer
who's got all these her own issues too. Who knew
that she could do this because she seems so not
go go ish and so awkward and normal, And I
didn't know he could do all. He could have been
(41:58):
a musician obviously. Yeah, and he directs this and it's
out in October. It's called a Star Is Born.
Speaker 8 (42:04):
Up to date with.
Speaker 9 (42:05):
Jody's Hollywood Outsider. Jody's Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 3 (42:11):
Reminder that the Grammy Awards is coming up this Sunday night,
hosted by comedian James Gordon. But he's also a singer,
and he's musiky. He's musically inclined, So remember it is
going to open the show with music. He he just will.
So Grammy Awards, it's expected to be Jay Z's night
and Kendrick Lamar's night because they have seven nominations each.
(42:32):
But oh wait, Bruno Mars has six nominations. Everybody who's
anybody is expected to be there and and performing. You know,
the Grammy Awards. The clothing is usually kind of crazy
and racy.
Speaker 2 (42:46):
But too, I just I always think of j Lo
in that dress.
Speaker 3 (42:49):
Oh yeah, that was the Grammy Awards that year.
Speaker 4 (42:53):
I always think of jay Loo regardless.
Speaker 3 (42:55):
Okay, instead of wearing all black like they did to
the Golden Globes, support the Times Up movement and uh
they're going to everybody's going to be wearing a white
rose so they can still wear their racy things they
want to wear. Look for it on CBS Sunday Night, Murphy.
Speaker 8 (43:11):
Sam and Jody. You are a Hollywood insider.
Speaker 9 (43:16):
Sam always lines the new Eats gez the food.
Speaker 2 (43:20):
Big news coming from I Hop. Now, have you heard
this one?
Speaker 1 (43:23):
No?
Speaker 4 (43:24):
I think I have. It's weird. I Hop is an
international house of pancakes.
Speaker 5 (43:28):
Correct.
Speaker 2 (43:29):
I Hop has a Twitter account like most big brands do. Yes,
And earlier this week they went on the Twitter account
and they said, we've got a big announcement to make
coming up next Monday. They were changing our name to
i hob ihob Breakfast. You would think that now the
anoun house of breakfast. The announcement didn't say what the
Bee's going to stand for. They said they'd make the
(43:49):
big announcement next Monday on what the bee stands for.
Speaker 5 (43:52):
But to me, it's like gotta be good nod, that's
a gimme there.
Speaker 1 (43:55):
Well, you know what, this can't be a permanent name change.
I wonder if it's just a gimmicky thing. Did do
something new that they're adding to the menu? Could be
you're not going to change, you know, something that's got
a sixty year legacy.
Speaker 3 (44:05):
Well, yeah, and say that, and you're correct in marketing
land to say that, Murphy, But companies do stuff like
that all the time.
Speaker 4 (44:13):
You're kind of like, what were you thinking?
Speaker 1 (44:15):
Well, look, but dunkin Donuts tried that and they realize,
you know what, we're not just dunking, We're Dunkin Donuts.
And it's and it's a it's a badge of honor.
It's not a bad.
Speaker 4 (44:22):
Thing, got it.
Speaker 2 (44:23):
Okay, So they do try to change it. I guess
they screw up.
Speaker 4 (44:26):
They could be back to pancakes and they can promote that.
Speaker 10 (44:29):
Course.
Speaker 1 (44:29):
I could be totally wrong. Maybe it's going to become
the International House of Biscuits or.
Speaker 2 (44:33):
Yeah, hello bacon, International House of Bacon. I'll be the
first person in line.
Speaker 5 (44:40):
And they're announcing this Monday. They're announcing it Monday.
Speaker 3 (44:45):
I know, I was sort of excited about the Queen
biopic trailer a couple of weeks ago.
Speaker 4 (44:49):
But this that's all.
Speaker 2 (44:51):
They played that at the theater before Solo solo.
Speaker 5 (44:54):
When we went recently. It was cool seeing it that.
Speaker 3 (44:57):
Big, right, Well, guess what a star is born? Railer
is here now. We put it on our Facebook page
this morning. Two and a half minutes of goose Bumps
with Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga.
Speaker 4 (45:07):
I don't sing my own songs.
Speaker 8 (45:09):
Why, I just don't feel comfortable. Oh when you feel comfortable.
Speaker 3 (45:15):
Almost every single person who's told me they like the
way it sounded, but that they didn't like the way
I look.
Speaker 5 (45:19):
I think you're beautiful.
Speaker 8 (45:21):
Oh my gosh.
Speaker 3 (45:22):
First of all, it feels so authentic. It's not her
as the mother Monster, it's none of that. It's just
her as this awkward girl who can sing but has
like you know, I guess, self esteem issues and anxiety
stage anxiety. And him as this he's on the way down,
the way down in his career and he's got all
kinds of demons.
Speaker 4 (45:42):
I believe it's alcoholism.
Speaker 3 (45:43):
And by the way, Bradley Cooper could have been a musician.
Here's a little bit of this from the.
Speaker 5 (45:50):
Movie maybe it's.
Speaker 4 (45:54):
That's how no lip syncing. Maybe it's down.
Speaker 5 (46:00):
He directed it.
Speaker 3 (46:01):
Yeah, you know this has been in the works for
a long time for him, and so we're going to
get it in theaters in October. Go check out the
trailer two and a half minutes of Goosebumps for you
on our Facebook page. So here, if we had an
out of town work trip this weekend, like an overnight,
but ended up how many hours in the emergency room
(46:23):
after an accident?
Speaker 1 (46:24):
Seven a long stay totally not expected. And so the
three ladies that I was riding with in the car,
this is not just ladies, ladies.
Speaker 5 (46:36):
Out of town. Three ladies in the car, the four
of us.
Speaker 1 (46:40):
You know, we're catching one of those rides here. I
don't want to say the name, but you know, there
are a couple of these right programs. You've got the app,
you order the cars do it a lot. Yeah, and
I love it. I mean it's flawless. But this is
the first time I've ever been in an accident in
one of these vehicles. I mean, it shocked all of
us and to the point where like we don't know
(47:00):
what to do do we we call the police?
Speaker 5 (47:03):
Anyway, So you're in the front seat.
Speaker 4 (47:05):
Where are you?
Speaker 1 (47:06):
No, no, no, I was in the back. One of the
lad you know, one of the people I was with
was in front. She was buckled. The other the three
of us in the back did not have our seat
belts on because we were only going for a few blocks.
Thinking about that, so you're safe. Huge lesson learned from that.
(47:26):
The driver of the vehicle was at a traffic light
and she went to turn left, and for whatever reason,
when she turned left, she hit a car in the
oncoming lane. It was thank god, it was stopped, but
it was waiting for the traffic light. Instead of turning
into her lane, she turned into the car, which of
course brought us to an immediate jolt, threw us all forward.
(47:47):
And you know, I mean, other than the fact that
I'd had my arm already sitting out because I was
holding it the st.
Speaker 4 (47:52):
Around the lady.
Speaker 5 (47:56):
I got a bruise right here.
Speaker 4 (47:59):
Picture yeah.
Speaker 5 (48:01):
I uh oh, Lord, so jam my arm.
Speaker 1 (48:04):
And you know, I'm thinking, well, but we do need
to cut one of the one of the ladies was
obviously her. We needed to get her checked out, right,
But the police officer said, all of you need to
go get yourselves checked out. I'm like, it's like, you know,
I'm a little shaken up, but I really feel like
I'm okay.
Speaker 5 (48:18):
I don't want to go, but.
Speaker 4 (48:19):
You got to take the ladies.
Speaker 1 (48:20):
Yeah, you know when in the u are it was
seven hours, a lot of people with the flu around us.
Speaker 4 (48:27):
Oh your favorite yeah, yeah, you know.
Speaker 1 (48:29):
But the good news is everybody was happy. Everybody was okay,
And yeah, lesson learned for the future. Seat belts no
matter what we're when or for how long.
Speaker 8 (48:37):
Yeah, coming up with Murphy Sam and Jody Sam.
Speaker 3 (48:40):
I know you were going to do Super Bowl commercials,
but you're gonna have to wait. I want to talk
about this a little bit more. One find out about
the ladies accident. Ladies accident and a big question about
what now, because there's all kinds of paperwork now right,
let's do that next. So Murphy had an out of
town trip over the weekend, like an overnight trip. You
(49:03):
guys got into a car accident going from the meeting
to the restaurant.
Speaker 1 (49:08):
And in one of those ride share program type cars
you know where you order from the app and up and.
Speaker 5 (49:14):
It's important to say you and three ladies right.
Speaker 4 (49:16):
When Merchant called me.
Speaker 3 (49:17):
He's like, hey, I just wanted you to know I'm
headed to the emergency room. We were in an accident.
The people I was with and I got into the
accident and I was in the back seat, and like,
are you okay? Now? Is when I'm hearing that it
was all ladies, that's okay, though, I know, yah, I
trust I'm joking.
Speaker 4 (49:36):
It's funny.
Speaker 1 (49:37):
Absolutely, yeah, it definitely was not that kind of a
moment for seven hours in the er, you know, so
they were awesome.
Speaker 5 (49:43):
I'm glad everybody's okay.
Speaker 3 (49:45):
I'm super surprised that you did not have your seatbelt
on in the back, back seat.
Speaker 4 (49:49):
Or front, Mister safety, I'm super surprised in.
Speaker 1 (49:52):
The back of my head for whatever reason. Back seats,
I don't, you know, think if I don't think about
it as fast.
Speaker 5 (49:59):
Them in I know, I know, I feel kind of
dumb for that. So, you know, how.
Speaker 4 (50:03):
Quickly did it happen? It's always like so fast, Well, three.
Speaker 1 (50:08):
Of us were talking about because three of us saw
it coming. But it's one of those where you think
you've got enough time to say something to the driver,
but you really don't. It's happening in a slow motion,
but it's really happening fast. Does that makes sense?
Speaker 10 (50:19):
You know?
Speaker 4 (50:19):
So did you say something to the driver?
Speaker 1 (50:22):
No, the three we talked about that afterwards. All three
of us were going to say, you're going to hit
you know, but you never give me the benefit of
the doubt to the driver, would you what?
Speaker 3 (50:30):
You know?
Speaker 1 (50:30):
You even if if she caught it, you would have
thought she would have gone around the vehicle. So it
was just it freaked us out.
Speaker 4 (50:35):
So you braced your arm on the seat in front
of you.
Speaker 1 (50:37):
Well, I already had my arm there. I couldn't move
fast enough to brace myself. I'd had I was actually
turning to talk to somebody at the moment I had
on the back seat. And so you know when when
we when we hit it just like thrust my arm
back in.
Speaker 5 (50:54):
Okay, so seven hours she wasn't going very fast.
Speaker 1 (50:58):
She literally stoplight turns green, she starts to take off
and just boom, hits this car.
Speaker 3 (51:04):
And everybody's okay that the emergency room bill is yours?
Speaker 4 (51:09):
Is the company's? Is the driving company?
Speaker 10 (51:12):
Like?
Speaker 5 (51:12):
What is?
Speaker 3 (51:13):
No?
Speaker 5 (51:13):
Jenny, I don't think I'm at liberty. Just at this point,
he spoke to his lawyers.
Speaker 1 (51:19):
Now you know, I didn't. I haven't thought about that
yet because we were just focused on getting the care.
Speaker 5 (51:23):
That's a really good question.
Speaker 1 (51:24):
You're right, I need to think about you know, I
don't even want to think about that part of it. Yeah,
but you know, the most important thing is everybody's okay.
But what's weird is I know I'm gonna every time
I order one of these cars, at least for the
next few times. Yeah, it's going to be in the
back of my head.
Speaker 5 (51:38):
Any car, Yeah, with your seatbelt.
Speaker 3 (51:40):
Th
