Speaker 1 (00:02):
All right, team, I get ready for work. It's Monday,
after all. And by the way, I think today is
my cousin Katie's birthday.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (00:10):
The reason I say I think is because she's one
of those that doesn't post her birthday on Facebook. Oh
it'll be there though, And I mean I know that
her birthdays at the end of July. I just never
remember if it's the day before my birthday or like
two days before. Because my birthdays tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
Well, we can find out, like in two seconds, we'll
find out and send out some love. All right, your
day's tomorrow, Murphy Bailey two.
Speaker 1 (00:29):
Oh, that's right, that's right.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
Well, I'm sorry, Bailey. I'm sorry. I'm just Murphy's my husband,
and I'm trying to make sure no I.
Speaker 1 (00:36):
Forget about that crazy coincidence because it's you know, it's
Bailey and I are like, you know.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
Dred spirits.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
We are kindred spirits, same birthday, a lot of same
common likes, interest in those kind of things, and so
I yeah, I feel bad too.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
Rock gone, Oh.
Speaker 3 (00:52):
Wait, does that mean there's a cheesecake in the future tomorrow?
Speaker 2 (00:55):
I don't know. I don't know.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
That's what's funny about this, it would probably be for Bailey,
although it be kind of cool for his dad to
make too.
Speaker 2 (01:01):
Well. The last time, the last time Producer family brought
cheesecake and brought it for you as a graduation present, Bailey,
when you graduated college, you brought your cheesecake home rightly,
So Sam had a slice. I didn't.
Speaker 4 (01:16):
Yeah, Well, look, I'll let you know. On on my birthday,
we have a different kind of dessert traditionally. What is
you ever had a mud pie?
Speaker 1 (01:29):
Do you stick candles and mud pie on your birthday?
Not quite?
Speaker 2 (01:33):
It's a it's a lot of chocolate pudding.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
It's really really you know. I mean, I've done so
good losing all this weight now, and I'm gonna have.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
To You'll be fine, you know tomorrow your birthday and
yours too, Bailey. You can just eat little bits. It's
what you do most of the time. So one day
you want.
Speaker 3 (01:49):
Bailey, your parents just let them know. There's always to
start a new.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
Tradition, especially when there's so many more mouths coming.
Speaker 5 (01:57):
Up with Murphy's Salmon.
Speaker 2 (01:59):
Facebook market place, you guys.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
Aware of it.
Speaker 3 (02:01):
I've actually been looking at some of the stuff there.
Speaker 1 (02:04):
Sam, you have you Jody scored a sale this week.
Speaker 2 (02:07):
I sold something and I might be a little bit addicted.
Tell you all about that on the way. Coming up
next to the first Hollywood Outsider of the morning, James
cordon really did skydive with Tom Cruise.
Speaker 6 (02:20):
Jody's Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 2 (02:22):
But you know, the biggest movie right now according to
the box office reports, I'm rightly so is Mission Impossible
fall Out with Tom Cruise. Another Mission Impossible movie that
had incredible stunts. And of course Tom Cruise does all
of his own stunt right. I mean, I know the
other that there are other people like Daniel Craig who'll
get down and dirty and do some of it, but
Tom Cruise does all of that.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
You are willing to jump out of a plane one
hundred times.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
To get the right time, Yeah, to get a shot.
He loves it. He must love it.
Speaker 3 (02:50):
Well.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
James Corden from The Late Late Show, he did this thing.
It circulated all over social media this weekend. Did you
guys see it where James Corden's skied eyes with Tom Cruise,
And I'm thinking, okay, he probably they.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
C g eyed it.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
He really did it. They did this whole It's worth watching.
You have to go watch. I pulled some of the
highlights for you.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
I'll be honest, I'm terrified.
Speaker 3 (03:15):
This.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
This feels like a mistake.
Speaker 5 (03:18):
Okay, James said that aircraft can be jumping out the back.
Speaker 1 (03:20):
And how long will be it?
Speaker 3 (03:21):
Will we be in that airplane?
Speaker 2 (03:24):
Fifteen minutes?
Speaker 3 (03:25):
Is there a mail service? Snacks?
Speaker 5 (03:28):
No?
Speaker 3 (03:29):
Peanuts?
Speaker 5 (03:29):
No?
Speaker 3 (03:30):
A little trolley with some drinks on it?
Speaker 2 (03:32):
No?
Speaker 3 (03:32):
Wow? So the worst plane of.
Speaker 5 (03:36):
It's only one way down.
Speaker 2 (03:38):
Now that there's two ways down. We could just land
with the pilot. But he actually got It's worth watching
because he actually does it. What do you call that jump?
He did it with the guy on him and Tom
Cruise lands like you know Tom Cruise? No, Tom Cruise
land really of course?
Speaker 1 (03:57):
Well, I guess if he's done it and trained for
the movie, then he knows that.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
Do but say this, if Tom Cruise lost all of
his acting chops, he could be a stunt man.
Speaker 1 (04:04):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
You know there's no need for a body double for
Tom Cruise. And Tom Cruise is fifty six years old.
Did you see him?
Speaker 1 (04:10):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (04:11):
Yeah, like he's thirty six.
Speaker 3 (04:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (04:14):
I don't think I could, Jous, I don't think I
could jump out of a plane, even if it were
for ratings, you know what I mean? Honestly, Well, you.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
Know it's something that James Cord must have really wanted
to do, while that he played it off like he didn't,
you know what I mean. It's a very funny. You know,
it's one of the segments he did things I would
like to do.
Speaker 3 (04:31):
Really when I start putting a lot of thought and
visualization into it, when you push yourself towards the door,
ac because that's when I think, yeah, that'll be great.
But then I think, Okay, at some point I step off.
Can I actually step off? I'm gonna have to be pushed.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
I just I know it's something that I would never do.
And another thing I would never do is do a
balloon ride. Fine, I don't want to be at that
high in a basket. Yeah, just can't do it. I'm
fine right where I am. But it's really funny and
really worth watching. And of course Mission Impossible fallout number
one movie right now.
Speaker 6 (05:04):
Up to date with Judy's Hollywood don't sign her?
Speaker 2 (05:07):
Are you coming up next? We'd love to hear from you.
What's on the way in your mail bag? Bailey?
Speaker 4 (05:11):
Well, Judy, with all of our talk about the plane delays.
Susan wanted to let us know about some crazy reason
that her plane was delayed.
Speaker 1 (05:20):
Coming up, Sam has found the Clintes Central list of
songs that have been banned from weddings by the bride
and groom no last because they just have been so overdone.
You can see him at Merphy Samon Jody dot com
and Sam's got him coming up.
Speaker 2 (05:31):
We love hearing from you. Jump in anytime eight seven
seven three one zero four MSJ or hit us up
on Facebook or Instagram.
Speaker 5 (05:38):
It's done for the producers.
Speaker 2 (05:39):
Nailed Bailey, what's in your bag today?
Speaker 4 (05:41):
Well, Jody, since we just came back from that trip
all the way that trip Businas trip.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
Yes, well, I guess it was a kind of an
airline nightmare force. We got delayed and delayed and then
delayed again.
Speaker 1 (05:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (05:53):
It was one of the first times I had ever
been on an airplane. And well not the first time,
but one of the first time. Yes, And getting used
to the delays was pretty strange. And I guess a
lot of different things happened to delay planes.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
Oh yeah, we don't. We didn't know either. We just
knew it was delayed and they never gave us a reason.
Speaker 1 (06:10):
Many times it's you know, it's mechanical. Sometimes they're waiting
on the crew. We've had to have them before. Sometimes
unfortunately they have to do clean up. That's kind of
gross too, but it does. Flight never thought of that. Sorry.
Speaker 4 (06:21):
Well, Susan has a story where here. Basically, here's what
she says. On a recent trip back from the Bahamas,
our plane was delayed for two hours because a swarm
of bees landed on the nose.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
Oh wow, which is really insane.
Speaker 1 (06:36):
Yeah, she says.
Speaker 4 (06:37):
Bees swarm because they're looking for a new place to live.
Obviously they didn't pick the right place, so they had
to call a bee keeper out to remove the bees.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
Good that they did that.
Speaker 3 (06:47):
They weren't inside, So why couldn't you just Yeah, I'm
surprised you have fly and eventual they'll might let go.
Speaker 4 (06:55):
Well, because the nose is where all of the radar equipment.
Speaker 2 (07:00):
I'm surprised you didn't know that, flight man.
Speaker 1 (07:02):
I mean, I guess I should have, right, you know what,
because I've always done that with bugs that hit the windshield,
you never.
Speaker 2 (07:07):
Have to just keep going. Wipers shout out to airlines.
We as passengers, we want to know why it's delayed.
I don't want to hear the weather. It's just weather.
Speaker 3 (07:18):
When you get that over the loudspeaker, there's a swarm
of bees on the nose.
Speaker 1 (07:23):
But you do want to hear that it's weather. Jodah,
you're one that can't stand to fly through that.
Speaker 2 (07:26):
And hell, the only thing I don't want to hear
our mechanical issues.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
You just don't want any excuses. My favor is there
was a flight I was on one time that was
delayed because one of the flight computers was not functioning properly.
But it was okay because there's only one needed to
fly the plane, so we took off with the backup.
All right.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
Look, thank you Susan for that. I'll never forget that story.
Reach out to us any time on Facebook or Instagram.
Speaker 5 (07:52):
Yeah, Sam has me as the news.
Speaker 3 (07:53):
We'll let you know which member of n SYNC is
actually interested in buying the Brady Bunch House.
Speaker 5 (07:58):
Oh, Sam's got music news.
Speaker 3 (08:03):
We've told you before that the Brady Bunch House is
up for sales.
Speaker 2 (08:06):
The story, Yeah, there's only three bedrooms and two baths.
Though that's my eye.
Speaker 1 (08:10):
It cracks me up about this. So if you ever
watched the show. The living room was the biggest, dreamiest
living room ever. But the house itself is literally just
a three bedroom, two bath house.
Speaker 2 (08:19):
Love the way both of you are just amazed that
Hollywood tricked.
Speaker 3 (08:22):
You for sale. Is the one that was used for
the outside shots. Yeah, and if you'll look at it.
And I just found this out today too, there's a
window that looks like it's on the second floor. There
is no second floor of the house.
Speaker 2 (08:32):
Oh this house.
Speaker 3 (08:33):
That is really the window to make it look like
a second floor. Okay, house on one floor.
Speaker 1 (08:37):
Wait, that's Hollywood magic.
Speaker 2 (08:39):
Yeah, don't be upset, be impressed.
Speaker 3 (08:41):
Okay, window to nowhere.
Speaker 2 (08:43):
What of the house?
Speaker 3 (08:44):
Well, they have a bunch of folks that are bidding
for it right now. One point eight million is what
it's going for.
Speaker 2 (08:49):
Is it really worth that or is it because it's
the brain? Is that the marketing price?
Speaker 1 (08:53):
I'm part of it, I'm sure because it's California and
homes are very expensive there.
Speaker 3 (08:57):
Yeah, last time was up for sale, it went for
sixty one nineteen seventy four. Well, and some of the
folks that are trying to get it are developers who
want to run it to the ground and start building
you know, a mini malls and whatever that does a
One of the people at the top of the list
is that Lance Bass from in Sync, And this is
(09:18):
so cool because he says he's loved the show forever.
He says he wants to be He's hoping he can
get to the top of the list because he actually
wants to go inside and rebuild the inside to look
like the TV house.
Speaker 1 (09:31):
Cool. Yeah, although it's like, you know, trying to get
ten pounds and you know, well, you know exactly in
a five pound balls.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
So if you have the kind of money to play
and make that happen, shout out.
Speaker 3 (09:44):
And also supposedly Miley Cyrus is interested in it his own,
but I would love to see Lance get it because
and add it to make it look inside, because then
you can give tours and yeah.
Speaker 1 (09:54):
Kind of man, I love that kind of stuff.
Speaker 3 (09:57):
A little earlier this year, the rumor was going around
that there going to do a nine to five sequel. Well,
it is confirmed now.
Speaker 2 (10:04):
As long as you put Dolly in it, I'm down.
Speaker 3 (10:06):
Dolly's the one that confirmed it. How long ago was
this movie on nineteen eighty Oh?
Speaker 2 (10:10):
Whoa, I never saw it. It was Okay, I've never
seen it.
Speaker 3 (10:14):
Dolly confirmed it this past week. She says, yes, she
and Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda are coming back to
reprise their roles.
Speaker 2 (10:21):
It's gonna be like the leaders now, like the executives exactly.
Speaker 3 (10:24):
It's gonna be a younger set of girls, sure, and
then the younger set of girls are going to turn
to them for advice on all the things in today's workplace.
Speaker 1 (10:30):
That's funny.
Speaker 2 (10:31):
Dolly's there. I'm down.
Speaker 3 (10:32):
Yeah. I don't have a date on it yet, but
for twenty nineteen, probably.
Speaker 2 (10:36):
Murphy Joy Music News, guys coming up, Facebook Mark, Facebook Marketplace,
and I now have a real relationship.
Speaker 1 (10:46):
Who coming up? After seven thirty? There were some caution
notes I had to put up last night before Jody
and I went to bed. I wanted to make sure
she saw these first thing this morning when she woke up.
Speaker 2 (10:57):
Yeah, thanks Ton for taping it to my car. Keys.
Speaker 1 (10:59):
I know there was a there was a good reason why.
So we'll get to that next hour, and anything that
you missed you can catch in the Murphy Salmon Jody podcast.
Speaker 2 (11:05):
Okay, right now, who here has sold something on Facebook Marketplace?
Speaker 1 (11:08):
Not me? Nobody but me, me man Chad Bailey, Nope.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
I'm very aware of all the places you can sell
and buy stuff on, you know, online, but I'm on
Facebook a lot, and it was like it peaked my curiosity.
I've looked a lot at stuff for sale on Facebook Marketplace.
But months ago, a couple months ago, when Ogie, our
biggest bearded dragon, was growing so fast that I had
to move him from his original twenty gallon terrium to
(11:34):
a forty, I shopped for one and bought it on
Facebook Marketplace, and so I was I had an extra.
We have an extra twenty gallon. I actually have two
now because they've both moved up, both of our beardies.
Speaker 1 (11:46):
For all that, Yeah, okay.
Speaker 2 (11:48):
So I cleaned up the twenty gallon terrariums and I
posted a picture with They've got a screen on them,
They're beautiful, they're ready, and I posted the price I
wanted and nothing. A couple of people asked about it,
but it's like absolutely nothing. I realized I was asking
too much at first, so I dropped the price a
little bit and nothing. I almost forgot about it until
(12:10):
just the other day, bing, hey, is this still available?
Absolutely it is, And they were nearby, So it's not
like a thing where I'm going to have to drive
to meet you or you're going to have to make
arrangements to come. Like this was like within a couple
of miles radius.
Speaker 1 (12:24):
Well, and that's part of how it works, because it's
about proximity, right, That's part of it. And then the
other part is it's a bearded dragon, you know, terrarium,
So it's not exactly the kind of thing that everybody well.
Speaker 2 (12:35):
It's a terrarium. If you had a little snake, you
could use it too, Like it's not so. I mean,
I meet this guy at a parking lot.
Speaker 5 (12:47):
That sounds bad.
Speaker 2 (12:49):
Wait, no, it's like in front of Kirklands and olta beauty.
We're not. It was easy. It was like in the
middle of everything. It was easy. I told him what
kind of car was in. He told me what kind
of car was in. He drives up and Phoebe's with
me and he helps me get the terrarium. I was like,
this is perfect. And I'm like, oh, you got a
baby beard need to put in there? And he goes, no,
I'm putting some like carnivore type stuff in there. And
I was like what and and then he said he's
putting like venus fly traps and stuff in there. Okay,
(13:11):
something like that. I thought that was.
Speaker 1 (13:14):
He's just doing a sort of a plant kind of
terrarium type.
Speaker 2 (13:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (13:18):
Yeah, my uncle grew their own stuff like that.
Speaker 2 (13:22):
Well, really, I have another terrium.
Speaker 5 (13:26):
It was.
Speaker 1 (13:28):
A legitimate.
Speaker 3 (13:31):
I't find out.
Speaker 2 (13:34):
I do still have another rorium if your aunt and
uncle need it. Coming out hollywo The Duffer Brothers make
a big announcement about Stranger Things season three, and not
all fans are happy about it.
Speaker 6 (13:49):
Jody's Hollywood outsider.
Speaker 2 (13:51):
Okay, we are going to get to that Stranger Thing
season three news that it's like, give me any little
bit of a vent. Uh not? Everybody's love this first though,
Mission Impossible fallout.
Speaker 3 (14:03):
I don't trust anybody.
Speaker 5 (14:04):
I've heard of this or you go row.
Speaker 6 (14:06):
He's been authorized to hunt you down and kill you.
Speaker 2 (14:09):
Biggest three day opening the franchise has ever had, and
rightly so. Right the hype for this movie. Tom Cruise
almost killed himself to do this movie movie. What's he
gonna do to follow that? Like, next time he goes
on a set, what's he gonna do?
Speaker 3 (14:23):
Mission Impossible seven?
Speaker 2 (14:25):
Anyway, this one was a huge opening, sixty one and
a half million, and that's right now. They're still counting
money right now for this one. This was his second
second biggest debut film of all time, following War of
the Worlds. So everybody came out to see that one.
Speaker 3 (14:38):
I don't remember that. Yeah, that's been a while.
Speaker 2 (14:41):
How about let's take into account that Top Gun Maverick
is coming next year. Yeah, hello, hello? Okay, moving on
to Stranger Things season three. News. You didn't see this
this weekend, Sam.
Speaker 3 (14:53):
No, I didn't. Okay, it's not good.
Speaker 2 (14:55):
The Duffer brothers and the executive producer of programming there
have confirmed that the side fi series, you know, we
were supposed to get it around Halloween this year, perfect timing,
they're moving into moving into early twenty nineteen. They're having
to move it, but they're saying, calm down, fans, that
it will be worth the wait. In fact, what they've
come up with once they started filming and writing and rewriting,
(15:17):
and it's a work in progress. They say it's going
to be better at that Yeah, better than the last
And I thought season two was great.
Speaker 3 (15:28):
Usually when they delay it, that means, okay, things aren't
working out. Right, or hey man, we can put a
real good spin on this one, right.
Speaker 2 (15:35):
So the quote from them is better than the last season.
That's what they believe, and they just want to be really,
really careful with it because they know they only get
one chance to do each season. Coming up, in your
next Hollywood Outside of this morning, around seven to fifty five,
another hot, famous young couple announces an engagement after two
months of dating.
Speaker 5 (15:55):
Murphy, Sam and Jody. You are a Hollywood insider.
Speaker 1 (16:01):
So even though it is the end of July, its
school literally is right around the corner, and Jody and I.
I really should give Jody the credit for this, because
it's not me. Our daughters are about to go back
into school, and so trying to get them back in
the routine is something that really needs to start today
and not the day before they wind up going back
in a few weeks.
Speaker 2 (16:18):
Yeah, and yeah, you've never concerned yourself with bedtime even
when they're in school, Marph, what's bedtime?
Speaker 1 (16:25):
Bedtimes? Just when the music's over?
Speaker 2 (16:27):
Right now? Truly, this is the time of the year,
towards the end of summer that I try my best.
Do I succeed probably not, but I try to slowly
but surely say all right, girls, if you go to
bed thirty minutes earlier every night, now, you won't feel
like a vampire if by noon tomorrow, that means I know,
it's pointless.
Speaker 3 (16:47):
With my son, Jackson, he's going on new school this
year as a sophomore. He lives in the moment. He
lives in the now, So trying to explain to him
that school is less than two weeks away, right.
Speaker 1 (16:58):
No, I had two weeks, may as well be two years.
Speaker 2 (17:00):
Yeah, I remember living in the now. It's been a
long time ago. When you become a parent, when you
become a mother, maybe especially, I feel like I feel
like I'm the planner of the home, and so am
I always in my brain ahead. Absolutely. I know that
I'll be back to school shopping on Wednesday at three o'clock,
because that's the plan.
Speaker 1 (17:21):
Oh, that's crazy, I have not thought that far ahead.
Speaker 2 (17:23):
Yeah, Phoebe's got school pictures Wednesday. I know you don't
know anything.
Speaker 3 (17:25):
You haven't thought past his birthday tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (17:28):
In the now. You're living in the now, Murphy. Anyway, Yeah,
that's the ideal thing to do right now. Teachers will
tell you that too, because sleep is so important. But
what happens to our kids every year? They have to
learn the hard way. They're exhausted the first couple of
days of school. Although the adrenaline the first day of
school takes them through it just fine, but by Wednesday
(17:48):
of the first week of school when they hit when
they get home, soar sofa. So anyway, that's the plan.
Try to get them, you know, if they're younger, and
you can try to get them to go to bed
a little bit thirty minutes earlier every night for a while.
Speaker 1 (18:03):
So am I expected to actually help with this? I'm
kidding of course, of course not, sir.
Speaker 5 (18:08):
Coming up with Murphy Sam and Jody.
Speaker 2 (18:10):
All right, Murphy, have you recovered yet from your surprise
this weekend?
Speaker 1 (18:15):
I think I have, But you know, kudos to pulling
that off. Jody. Yeah, eighteen years of marriage to Jody Sam,
and I was still fooled by this surprise party. And
it was one thing that you said, Jody that actually
kind of took me off the trail. I don't think
I would have ever figured it out thanks to the
one thing that you did. Let's do that off with,
(18:37):
all right, So I have to say a big thank
you to my sweet wife here, Jody. Yay, they're red
Head for a surprise party over the.
Speaker 2 (18:44):
Weekend, a small surprise party.
Speaker 1 (18:47):
My birthday is tomorrow and actually prety Serre Bailey's birthdays
tomorrow too, you know that summating two birthdays in the
room at the same time. But Jody threw me a
surprise party, and I guess you can't really do that
easily on a Tuesday night, so she did it over
the weekend, and.
Speaker 2 (19:03):
I liked the one way I threw him off. You
told me this last night. The one way I threw
you off is by telling you to block out Sunday.
Speaker 1 (19:10):
Yeah, yeah, it was you know what I mean. Jody
and I have been married for eighteen years, so to try
to pull off a surprise party, and then the girls
are both you know, at thirteen and sixteen. They were
a part of it. Jody had them being decoys. But
I think everybody had a little bit of trouble, kind
of like containing the excitement.
Speaker 2 (19:28):
Yeah, by Saturday afternoon, when the party was just hours away,
we were so anxious and nervous of us building that
we were just staying away from him, Like, don't.
Speaker 1 (19:38):
It was weird. It's like, Okay, it's Saturday, and it's
like every conversation was shorter than it was supposed to be.
Him like, this is weird. But Jody's decoy, you know,
verbal decoy was leave Sunday open. Whatever you do, don't
book anything were Sunday. So I'm all focused on, Okay, well,
something's going on tomorrow and I don't know what what
what's the deals this Sam?
Speaker 2 (19:55):
On Saturday afternoon, around four o'clock, He's like, since I've
got to leave sun wide open, I'm mnsa sit down
and do some email and some work right now, you know,
for you know, just to get myself ready for Monday.
Because he always kind of does that over the weekend,
which is smart, you know, sits down and just gets
everything ready. I'm thinking, yes, that means he believes that
we're going on like a day trip Sunday or something.
Speaker 3 (20:15):
So for it.
Speaker 1 (20:16):
Huh So anyway I did. I crammed everything in.
Speaker 2 (20:19):
Phoebe was the decoy. Shout out to Phoebe who's thirteen
years old. Because the party was at your dear friend
Randy's house and his Randy's daughter Maya and Phoebe are friend.
So Randy called and said, hey, can Phoebe come spend
the night? And it was like a Saturday morning. But
we've been planning this for a month. Yeah, you know,
kind of a thing. So Phoebe rode with him and
(20:39):
walked in the door with him for the big surprise.
Speaker 3 (20:42):
I was able where I was standing to see look
through the window and he didn't look like anything, Murphy
and looks you know.
Speaker 1 (20:48):
No, I wasn't anticipating anything at all. In fact, I
think Phoebe was doing such a good job trying to
delay me so that I didn't show up too early.
She was vacuuming her room. I'm like, what, I'm vacuuming
in my room. I'll be done in a minute.
Speaker 2 (21:01):
I'm like, okay, okay, wait, wait coming up next. Though,
you have to know that our girls were a little
bit upset with you, Sam. Why you almost you almost
stepped on that big moment? Do that next. I was
able to pull off, with some help from friends and
our daughters, a surprise party for Murphy, a small one
over the weekend with some high school friends, some family aunt,
(21:22):
Sam and I am exhausted.
Speaker 1 (21:25):
Now, I'm sure how in the world you were able
to put after Jody told me how long she'd been
planning this, since early time. I know, you just being
able to keep something like that for six weeks, seven
weeks or whatever that quiet.
Speaker 2 (21:38):
Women are planners.
Speaker 1 (21:40):
Nobody slipped and nobody did anything.
Speaker 3 (21:41):
You know, silly, okay, Murphy, though, I think as it
got closer, the stress I could see it in Jody,
Like Friday before we all left for the weekend, it
was just I just know she was like, I gotta
do this, I gotta do this, and he can't know
I gotta do this.
Speaker 2 (21:54):
The good news is I'm always doing stuff and he doesn't.
You know, he's used to that. So it did work.
Speaker 1 (22:00):
Because of that, I didn't question anything until, you know,
everybody's conversation with him became really short on Saturday.
Speaker 2 (22:07):
I gotta say this Number one, here's the moment when
you did walk in the door thinking you're bringing Phoebe
to our your friend's house just for a sleepover, which
is fun. You were so oh my gosh. That was
(22:28):
the moment for me that I finally breathed, because I
know you so well. I knew that you were absolutely surprised.
Speaker 1 (22:33):
And there's nothing that's more stunning than that.
Speaker 3 (22:35):
Too.
Speaker 1 (22:35):
When you see that many different people and some I
haven't seen in years, you freeze up. Your brain is
like processing too much stuff. You scored.
Speaker 2 (22:44):
I do want you to know, Sam, that our girls,
especially Taylor, who was at the party with me, is
that the house. Phoebe was with him.
Speaker 1 (22:50):
She was the decoys, the decoy.
Speaker 2 (22:52):
Taylor was flipping out. You don't know this, Murphy. But
Sam arrived five minutes before you. If that, And.
Speaker 1 (22:59):
It's unusual, always the punctual one.
Speaker 2 (23:02):
Be late for a surprise.
Speaker 3 (23:03):
Traffic, it was ridiculous. And I was talking to Jody
on the way there and she said.
Speaker 2 (23:06):
Get here.
Speaker 3 (23:07):
Murphy's here, so you're still ahead of him, so keep moving,
keep moving.
Speaker 2 (23:10):
Park next door, and there was some you know, it's
like you gotta park and hide and walk. Sam walked
in five minutes before you and then had to duck
in a different room to take an important phone call.
Speaker 3 (23:19):
Well, you know, Jody, Taylor came out to meet me.
She's like, come on, we have been waiting for you,
like mother, like.
Speaker 5 (23:28):
Yeah, coming up next with Murphy, Sam and Jody.
Speaker 1 (23:31):
Well, speaking of surprises, had Jody had two surprises when
she woke up this morning. They were not related to
my surprise birthday party. That's next.
Speaker 2 (23:41):
Our morning routine at home. As I get up before
everybody else, Murphy's still sleeping sweetly and the girls are
certainly still sleeping. At summertime, we don't even move.
Speaker 1 (23:50):
Jody does get the studio here a little bit before
I do each morning.
Speaker 2 (23:53):
Yes, and then then you wake up at all that.
So this morning early, as I tiptoed out bound, I'll
try to be as quiet as I can. And I'm
gonna say this, I'm way quiet. I totally am so quiet.
Speaker 1 (24:05):
There are times where you leave and I don't hear it,
and when my alarm goes off, I'm like, wow, Jody's
gone again.
Speaker 2 (24:12):
Bandit in the morning. Anyway, this morning, I doing my
usual thing, and by the time I go out into
the kitchen area, I'm getting my iced coffee put together,
which I do quietly. I go to grab my bag first,
and then my keys. On my bag, there's a there's
a hand written note in all caps in Murphy's handwriting.
(24:32):
It says watch out for the rental and ps from Taylor.
Taylor loves you. There's a rental car in our driveway right.
Speaker 1 (24:40):
Well, yeah, I mean I had to rent a vehicle
and I need to bring it back today. And then
just you know, Jody, when she backs out, it's really
early in the morning. When you're talking about BEFO four
o'clock in the morning, most people aren't awake. If you
recall a couple of years ago, when Jody was backing out,
she hit her mother's.
Speaker 3 (24:54):
Car, do you recall that, in fact had on video.
Speaker 1 (24:57):
Yeah, knocked a bumper clean off anyway, so you know,
I knew that, I knew you knew it was back there.
But I'm thinking, you know, just in the off chance,
let me write this note before Jody goes to bed.
The funny part of it to me is I wrote, actually,
I wrote too, put one on her person, put the
other one on her keys. I really wanted to make sure.
Speaker 2 (25:12):
That Joey was late to my keys.
Speaker 1 (25:14):
Yeah, and but I guess at some point during the night,
our oldest daughter, Taylor, because they're not back in school,
got up. She saw them, thought that was funny and
added to my notes.
Speaker 2 (25:22):
Yeah, ps, T loves you, And that's in Taylor's handwriting.
The other one is from Murphy Jody, be careful backing
out dot dot dot the rental and Taylor added to
this one, as if the note on the purse wasn't enough.
I love you, but you know what, shout out to
you for that. You're correct for doing that, because last night,
before I went to bed, I remember looking out the window, going, yeah,
(25:44):
I need to watch out for that rental in the driveway,
because you know me, in the morning, my head space
is in a different place. I'm thinking about Hollywood Outsiders
and you know just what we're about to be doing
in my head space, and I'm in a routine like
a robot. I'm backing out of the driveway and going, seriously.
Speaker 3 (25:57):
I'd have thought about tape and one to the window too.
The last thing she sees before getting in the car is.
Speaker 1 (26:02):
I almost I mean I literally almost did that. I'm like,
you know what, that might be overkill. Of course, some
could debate debate that two was.
Speaker 2 (26:08):
Overgil, Yeah, you might have been, but thank you, I
did need it early.
Speaker 1 (26:13):
Okay, See I was right. Jody was already asleep last
night by the time that, you know, so I accomplished.
Speaker 5 (26:20):
Coming up next with Murphy, Sam and Jody, I.
Speaker 3 (26:23):
Run down the list of the top songs at Brides
and Grooms say they never want to hear at their
wedding reception.
Speaker 1 (26:29):
And how in the world are you going to get
your kids back to uh school? Are back in their
school routine? I should say, because it's still summertime. Jody
had a couple of great ideas earlier this morning. In
case you missed it, catch them on the Murphy, Sam
and Jody podcast.
Speaker 2 (26:44):
That'll probably do us no good, but okay, we'll try.
Speaker 3 (26:46):
Yeah, except the New York Times have done us a
fun favor of this Monday morning. They have put together
a list of the top songs that brides and grooms
at their wedding do not want the DJ to play
the reception. Yeah, they were they They surveyed a few
hundred wedding DJs around the country and said that they
were told, do not play this song whatever you do. Okay,
(27:07):
it's my requests it don't play it. I don't want
you to play it.
Speaker 2 (27:10):
Oh okay?
Speaker 3 (27:10):
Is it tired? And it was for I would have
never thought of that cliched that some of them said.
They were cheesy, they're out of date. They're in the
style stuff like a Baby Got Back and love Shack
and hokey pokey pokey. Sure, I get that one's done.
Speaker 1 (27:23):
He doesn't want to hear love Shack.
Speaker 3 (27:25):
But I figured mean, you hear it at every wedding,
so there's a reason.
Speaker 2 (27:30):
Okay, So we went to a really fun dance wedding
reception recently, so I'm dying to know anything.
Speaker 1 (27:36):
You know what they played, love Shack Baby?
Speaker 3 (27:39):
These are the top five and coming down five to
one to you and coming in at number five of
the songs they don't want to hear a wedding village.
Speaker 2 (27:46):
People, I could do about it.
Speaker 1 (27:50):
Yeah, that does have a tendency to bring an older
crowd onto.
Speaker 3 (27:53):
The floor exactly at one point in time. Great song
for a web done.
Speaker 2 (27:56):
Now, now that you're doing this, I think I know
what might be number one.
Speaker 3 (28:02):
Really, I'm surprised at this one coming in at number
four from Cupid. It's the Cupid Shuffle.
Speaker 1 (28:07):
Oh that's a great line dancing song.
Speaker 3 (28:09):
I know that was the thing too. A lot of
the bride and grooms say they're sick of line dances,
but to me, line dances are part of a recess.
Speaker 1 (28:15):
If it's a party, it's a party.
Speaker 2 (28:17):
This was done at the wedding reception we went to,
and our girls were first on the floor for the
Cupid stuffle. Yeah, I'm not the biggest thing in the song.
Speaker 3 (28:23):
But number three on the list, this is a big
one a few years ago and it still gets people
out to dance.
Speaker 2 (28:29):
That's the one I was going to say, I don't
need that.
Speaker 1 (28:33):
Time is coming gone.
Speaker 2 (28:34):
I didn't need that five minutes minutes after it was done.
Speaker 3 (28:37):
Just played at my second wedding. Let's see how that
turned out.
Speaker 1 (28:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (28:41):
Number two on the list is the Cha Chaws Lie.
Speaker 1 (28:48):
I am a guy that appreciates watching the line dance.
I'm a guy who messes a lined up dance up
if I get in it. I like this song.
Speaker 3 (28:55):
Number one on the list. Are you ready to dance?
The Chicken Dance?
Speaker 1 (29:00):
Are you serious?
Speaker 2 (29:02):
Thank you goodness gracious that I've never seen this out
of wedding.
Speaker 3 (29:05):
I could do about this one for sure.
Speaker 1 (29:07):
Okay, well I'll go along with number one. You know
the thing is, I think you just have to gauge.
If the crowd's out on the floor, why not just
let them hear the music they want to hear.
Speaker 3 (29:15):
I want to get paid as the DJ.
Speaker 2 (29:17):
Now you're getting paid by the bride.
Speaker 5 (29:18):
And groom coming out.
Speaker 2 (29:21):
You're Hollywood, saying, another really fast engagement in Hollywood, and
the Madman creator has another show coming our.
Speaker 6 (29:28):
Way, Judy's Hollywood.
Speaker 5 (29:32):
Outside.
Speaker 2 (29:32):
My fans are flipping out, and it feels like deja vus.
We've got another young couple who started dating a week ago,
well two months ago actually, that are apparently engaged, and
that is Nick Jonas and Prejonka Chopra.
Speaker 3 (29:49):
Quickie.
Speaker 2 (29:49):
Isn't she beautiful too?
Speaker 1 (29:51):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (29:51):
Wow, she's She was on TV's Quantico. She is also
friends with Megan Markle, and she was at the Royal
wedding wearing her fascinating and then the next day she
had Joe I mean Nick Oopsas Nick Jonas on her
arm and they started dating. It was hot. They seemed
(30:12):
to be so into each other, and they showed up
everywhere together and they quickly met each other's families. And
so the word is it's being reported, people magazine reporting
it now. The couple, these two have not commented yet,
but I think I want to say it was a
couple of weeks ago. She posted in social media him
buying her something at Tiffany's something yeah, something, and they
(30:38):
were spotted. By the way, The word is they have
hung out with Megan Markle and Prince Harry already. Oh,
couples outing, that's the word. Now, I didn't see pictures.
Speaker 3 (30:47):
Of that, so you may not see pictures of.
Speaker 2 (30:49):
That, right, but the word is they're hanging out because
she and Megan Markle are friends. That's another Jonas brother
about to walk down the aisle. You know that Joe
Jonas is also about to get married to Sawsa.
Speaker 3 (31:00):
From Sophie Game of Roads.
Speaker 2 (31:03):
Sophie Turner. That's right, So look for that hot couple.
Maybe an official engagement announcement from them, maybe even as
early as today. Murphy, You're going to love this. Remember
who Matthew Wiener is.
Speaker 1 (31:15):
He's the Oh yeah, he's the producer of.
Speaker 2 (31:18):
Writer of mad Men.
Speaker 1 (31:20):
Mad Men right right?
Speaker 2 (31:21):
Mad Men was his baby and his creation. Well he's
at it again. Not mad Men exactly, but he's got
a new show coming out on Amazon and it debuts
in October called The Romanofs, an anthology show set in
modern day. So it's all these a group of people
who from around the world who believe they're the descendants
(31:42):
of the Romanofs. The Russian royal family was executed by
the Bolsheviks in like nineteen eight. I don't know when
eighteen or sixteen or a long time ago. And so
it's Matthew Wiener his project. He's directing all eight or
ten episodes, and a couple of people from mad Men
will be in it. Lattery, who played Roger Sterling. Yeah,
(32:04):
and Christina Hendricks will be in it as well.
Speaker 1 (32:07):
That you love her.
Speaker 2 (32:08):
She's the one who played Joones.
Speaker 1 (32:09):
She's my other favorite redhead.
Speaker 2 (32:11):
So look for that on Amazon later this year. Coming
up in your next Hollywood outside of this morning around
eight thirty, why we have to wait even longer for
Stranger Things season three coming up?
Speaker 1 (32:26):
Jody has figured out the way to score on a
Facebook marketplace sales school. Kind of cool.
Speaker 2 (32:32):
First, Sam, do you like I'm assuming no, But do
you like a lot of magnets on your refrigerator?
Speaker 3 (32:40):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (32:40):
Oh that's a serious question. Wow.
Speaker 1 (32:42):
The delay in his answer concerns me a little.
Speaker 2 (32:45):
I don't like a lot.
Speaker 3 (32:45):
I don't know how to answer because I do have
a bunch of magnets. Oh you do, but organized and cleaned,
of course you like. My mom's refrigerator is full of
magnets and it's just like randomly whatever you got one
throw it up there. I like mine, minuscule, neat, clean,
serving a purpose, serving a purpose like one, little dots,
(33:06):
like round dots that serve a purpose.
Speaker 2 (33:10):
I gave you those big googly eyeballs for Christmas one year.
Speaker 3 (33:12):
They fell off the fridge one day when the kids
were there.
Speaker 2 (33:15):
I'm sorry, go doggated.
Speaker 1 (33:17):
And I knew it was going to be a pet thing.
I knew it.
Speaker 3 (33:19):
There was no gluing it back together. Oh yeah, they're
up there for no gift note one on each door.
It was perfect.
Speaker 2 (33:27):
I don't like a lot of refrigerator magnets. I like
the refrigerator to look neater than that. So I do
have some magnets, and we keep them on the side
mostly I don't. I don't like a clutter.
Speaker 1 (33:38):
That's true. You don't put them on the front anymore.
My mother did that. I loved the way that my mother.
My mother's fridge to me, was was special because of
all the crazy silly magnets. She had one, you know,
and before she passed away, you know, every there's something
that that would be a cake, you'd push it. It would
sing happy birthday, and she would call each of us
and you.
Speaker 2 (33:56):
Know, and that magnet is still there, so I will
not take offense to this at all. Sam. But while
we were on vacation, we got a refrigerator magnet for you.
Speaker 1 (34:07):
Okay, don't get too excited, Sam.
Speaker 3 (34:09):
Jody has given me a refrigerator magnet.
Speaker 2 (34:11):
Before it was wait, it was given to us, and
I'm like, I'm gonna put that in my bag for
Sam because I don't want it. But are you ready?
Speaker 3 (34:16):
You gave me one?
Speaker 1 (34:17):
You will? I think you will like this when I
really do. This is a Sam kind.
Speaker 2 (34:21):
Of any Yeah, it's a chick magnet, but it's a
chick and it's say a chick drive twenty five. It
was a safety counciled guy or something like that. We
were on a faery. Uh his face, he doesn't like it. Fine,
you don't want to be a chick magnet.
Speaker 3 (34:37):
It's a jokey.
Speaker 2 (34:38):
Come on, you're a clownfish. Say something funny.
Speaker 3 (34:41):
It's from a safety council person.
Speaker 2 (34:43):
I don't know. Somebody gave us a chick magnet and
I thought Sam might like that.
Speaker 1 (34:47):
He passed him out because he knew that there would
be a time where chickens would be crossing the road,
you know, to get to the other side.
Speaker 3 (34:53):
And translation here, Jody doesn't want it, so she's given it.
Speaker 1 (34:57):
No, that's not true.
Speaker 2 (34:58):
It's in the garbage right now.
Speaker 1 (34:59):
When they said chick magnet, we're like same with like
a chick magnet. Obviously fine.
Speaker 2 (35:06):
Coming up with Murphy's Sam, tell you why Sam didn't
give Murphy his present at the little surprise party this weekend.
You showed up late, you left early, and you didn't
bring impressure. What's wrong with you? So our Murphy's birthday
is tomorrow? Yes, but.
Speaker 1 (35:23):
Yeah, yeah, so his producer Bailey, he and I have
the same birthday.
Speaker 2 (35:29):
Not the same age though, No.
Speaker 3 (35:31):
I believe he might be twenty five.
Speaker 2 (35:32):
Yeah, okay, So I threw you a little surprise party
on Saturday night. I'm so glad it's over because I
could finally exhale and relax, and you.
Speaker 1 (35:41):
Pulled it off without a clue planning that as long
as you and I have been together and making that
work is pretty impressive.
Speaker 2 (35:47):
I just want to say too, it's it's hard to Also,
you either invite everybody or you invite a small group, right,
and so we did a small group of old high
school friends, some close family members. Sam, what's your family.
You might as well just lump you in with family.
Speaker 3 (36:04):
You know, the smaller group, there's a benefit. There are
less people to possibly blow the surprise.
Speaker 2 (36:09):
Oh that's true.
Speaker 3 (36:09):
When you got thirty or forty people, somebody's gonna say something.
Speaker 1 (36:13):
You know. I didn't even think about that. And the
other thing is the person who like gets blown away
by the surprise and is stunned for the because it
takes you almost a half hour to recover from that.
I don't know i'd explain it. You see all these faces,
and it's like you want to say, talk to everybody,
and you can't talk to everybody at the same second.
You know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (36:30):
You did. You did a good job of working the room.
But the other sweet thing is that I didn't think
about this. I didn't tell people to do this, but
most everybody brought you a gift.
Speaker 3 (36:39):
Yeah, and I wasn't expecting that either. You know, well,
I thought, you know, party, bring a gift. Birthday party
equals gift.
Speaker 2 (36:46):
Yeah. But we didn't open your presence, Sam because you
had to leave early. You got there late and you
left early.
Speaker 1 (36:50):
Isn't that sweet? Right? We wanted to open in front
of you, so you know what. I decided to save
it until my actual birthday tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (36:56):
I'm glad you did because I cannot wait till you
open this. You're gonna get so much joy and such
for such a long time. Really, it's one of those
things you can just whenever you're feeling like it, you
need a laugh, you can pick it up and get
a laugh from it.
Speaker 2 (37:10):
This is a build up.
Speaker 1 (37:11):
Wow, Like I'm not over selling it.
Speaker 2 (37:13):
Yeah, just like Murphy, tell him what your dad gave you?
Speaker 1 (37:17):
This is the key. Never have one of these in
my life. It says it was a small box, it
was light. I open it up, I'm like.
Speaker 2 (37:24):
What is this?
Speaker 1 (37:25):
And it is a bow tie. But it's not like
a clip on bow tie. It's the kind you have
to tie yourself. And you know me, I already I
always have trouble doing the double winds or not, and
I regular tie. Now I'm going to try to learn
a bow tie. So I guess i'll YouTube, but man,
that'll be cool. I'm always wanted a real bow tie.
Speaker 2 (37:40):
Yeah, you need to bring it tomorrow. Maybe you could
wear it tomorrow, Murphy on your special day, okay or not?
Speaker 5 (37:48):
Coming up next with Murphy's Sam.
Speaker 2 (37:50):
And Jody guys, I made my first ever sell on
Facebook marketplace, and I'm super excited about it, although the
transaction was a little weird. Our morning routine at home
as I get up before everybody else, Murphy's still sleeping
sweetly and the girls are certainly still sleeping. At summertime,
we don't even move.
Speaker 1 (38:11):
Tody does get the studio here a little bit before
I do each morning.
Speaker 2 (38:14):
Yes, and then then you wake up at all that.
So this morning early, as I tiptoed out bounced, I
try to be as quiet as I can be, and
I'm I'm gonna say this, I'm way quiet. I totally
am so quiet.
Speaker 1 (38:26):
There are times where you leave and I don't hear it,
and when my alarm goes off, I'm like, wow, Jody's
gone again.
Speaker 2 (38:32):
Bandit in the morning. Anyway, this morning, I doing my
usual thing, and by the time I go out into
the kitchen area, I'm getting my iced coffee put together,
which I do quietly. I go to grab my bag first,
and then my keys. On my bag, there's a t
There's a hand written note in all caps and Murphy's handwriting.
(38:53):
It says watch out for the rental.
Speaker 1 (38:55):
Huh.
Speaker 2 (38:56):
And PS from Taylor, Taylor loves you. There's a little
car in our driveway right.
Speaker 1 (39:01):
Well, yeah, I mean I had to rent a vehicle
and I need to bring it back today. And just
you know, Jody when she backs out, it's really early
in the morning. When you're talking about before four o'clock
in the morning, most people aren't awake. If you recall
a couple of years ago, when Jody was backing out,
she hit her mother's car.
Speaker 3 (39:15):
Do you recall that on video?
Speaker 1 (39:17):
Yeah, knocked the bumper clean off. Anyway, so you know,
I knew that, I knew you knew it was back there.
But I'm thinking, you know, just in the off chance,
let me write this note before Jody goes to bed.
The funny part of it to me is I wrote, actually,
I wrote too, put one on her person, put the
other one on her keys. I really wanted to make
sure that.
Speaker 2 (39:33):
Jody was like to my keys.
Speaker 1 (39:34):
Yeah, and but I guess at some point during the night,
our oldest daughter, Taylor, because they're not back in school,
got up. She saw them, thought that was funny and
added to my notes.
Speaker 2 (39:43):
Yeah, PS, t loves you. And that's in Taylor's handwriting.
The other one is from Murphy, Jody, be careful backing
out dot dot dot the rental, and Taylor added to
this one as if the note on the purse wasn't enough.
I love you, but you know what, shout out to
you for that. You're correct for doing that because last night,
before I went to bed, I remember looking out the window, going, yeah,
(40:05):
I need to watch out for that rental in the driveway,
because you know me, in the morning, my head space
is in a different place. I'm thinking about Hollywood outsiders
and you know just what we're about to be doing
in my head space, and I'm in a routine like
a robot. I'm backing out of the driveway and going.
Speaker 3 (40:18):
Seriously, I'd have thought about taping one to the window too.
So the last thing she sees before getting in the
car is.
Speaker 1 (40:23):
I almost I mean I literally almost did that. I'm like,
you know what, that might be overkill. Of course some
could debate debate that two was overkill.
Speaker 2 (40:30):
Yeah, two might have been, but thank you, I did
need it earlier.
Speaker 1 (40:33):
Okay, See, I was right. Jody was already asleep last
night by the time that, you know, so.
Speaker 2 (40:37):
I always like her friends from you A mission accomplished.
This is the time end of July to start slowly
but surely trying to get your kids in a more
back to school schedule. Yeah, and I look, we've got
teenagers at our house, so I try as I might.
(40:57):
They're not doing it. They're just going to pay the
price on the first few days of school in the afternoons.
But younger kids you can do that with that.
Speaker 3 (41:03):
Almost seems like with teens, as much as you explain
it, it still doesn't sink in.
Speaker 2 (41:07):
You just answered everything. With teens, Oh, Sam, well that's.
Speaker 3 (41:10):
True, they know better. Hey, yeah, I don't keep this up.
Speaker 2 (41:13):
They totally do. But when they're younger, you can, when
you are actually in charge of their you know which
I guess you're still in charge of their teenagers, but
you have more influence when they're younger. Well, yeah, they
go to bed.
Speaker 3 (41:23):
It's not as much pushback.
Speaker 2 (41:24):
At nine tonight instead of ten in the summer schedule. Look,
in the early hours that we work, I don't even
want to know what time my kids are going to bed,
but I do know that they've been getting up around noon. Yeah,
crack of noon is when they're getting up lately.
Speaker 3 (41:39):
It's funny as last week. Parker was with me Thursday
and Friday, so he was there Thursday night and Fortnite
was on. You know, I was like, Parker, I'm going
to bed later. Yeah, I said, don't stay up too late.
And I only heard the pantry once about ten o'clock. Yeah,
I woke up and he was already asleep when I
woke up at four o'clock. So who knows. Somewhere between
(42:00):
ten and four, Parker went to bed.
Speaker 2 (42:01):
Yeah, it's time to start thinking about it, at least
going to bed a little earlier. We love hearing from you.

Speaker 5 (42:10):
It's fine for the producers.
Speaker 2 (42:12):
Nailed down, Bailey, what's in your bag?
Speaker 3 (42:14):
Joy?
Speaker 4 (42:14):
Jennifer reached out to us and she's asking specifically to you,
what book were you trying to read at the airport.
I don't know if you remember you were there's somebody
in front of you reading a book.
Speaker 2 (42:23):
Okay, this was on a plane, actually, Okay, I'm always
reading an airports. That's the perfect time to either shop
or read. Okay, when airports have good shops, I shop.
We were on a plane recently and there was a
lady in front of us okay, reading a book, and
she told the flight attendant that she couldn't stop reading it,
and the flight attendant goes, yeah, I couldn't put that
(42:44):
one down. So of course I sneak a peek and
it was called The Woman in Cabin ten.
Speaker 1 (42:49):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (42:49):
Have you guys heard of that?
Speaker 3 (42:51):
Only from you?
Speaker 2 (42:52):
Okay? Yeah, I haven't read it yet, but it's my
next book.
Speaker 3 (42:54):
I remember a cruise ship.
Speaker 2 (42:57):
I feel like it might be a cruise ship, and
she's in a cabin. She's in the cabin ten.
Speaker 3 (43:01):
I don't know yet, she's in cabin ten in the woods.
Speaker 4 (43:03):
Yeah, that's what I was thinking.
Speaker 2 (43:05):
Why, oh the woods, cabin in the woods. I believe
it's a cruise ship, okay, which might be scarier to me.
So that is my next one. And every single person
that I've talked to, my friends who are reading it
or read it so that it's like it's going to
keep you up at night, it's that good. So yay,
we've added it. You can get a link to it
and then Not So Serious book Club at Murphy Sam
and Jodi dot Com. Thank you, Jennifer.

Speaker 2 (43:36):
Okay, what's this Sam that some of your friends have
recently done on social media that upset you?
Speaker 3 (43:40):
No, no, no, I didn't upset me. It actually made me.
Speaker 1 (43:43):
I think it felt good.
Speaker 3 (43:44):
I think it's a good thing.
Speaker 2 (43:45):
Oh, it's an upsetting subject.
Speaker 3 (43:47):
Okay. Hollywood. Whenever some big name couples get divorced, sometimes
they put out the joint statement that you know, we're
paying his friends and no big deal, We're still going
to love our kid, and they kind of get ahead
of everything so there's none of the gods.
Speaker 2 (44:01):
Yes, well, I.
Speaker 1 (44:01):
Guess you have to because otherwise paparazzi is going to
be all up in your business, you know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (44:06):
Yes, I've had two couples that I'm friends with on
Facebook in the past month do the same thing, and
one of them posted that, you know, we want to
get the same thing, we want to get ahead of
the gossip, and it's time to put it out there.
And they put it out there as a joint statement
just to let everybody know that after X number of
years of being together, marriage. It's just time for us
(44:27):
to go our separate ways, and there's no animosity between us.
Sure we're still here about the kids, We're still going
to support each other, we're still best friends. Neither one
of us saying bad things about the other. On nice
you know, usually there's a line about you know, unfortunately
people grow apart, you know, well.
Speaker 2 (44:43):
Like somebody almost wrote it. But yeah, but.
Speaker 3 (44:46):
I kind of I hate this number one. I hate
to see it end those those marriages. But on the
other hand, it's kind of nice to have it out
there so that nonsense doesn't get all started. Sure behind their.
Speaker 2 (44:57):
Just diffuses the situation, right, you can't take can run
with that? If if both of the people have already
said here's what it is, what do you think of
that's funny. I've never thought about it because I haven't
had that happen with people in my friend's circle yet.
But I guess it's certainly their right to communicate something
like that the way they want to, or is it
(45:19):
a different because it so it is very private. It
is very private.
Speaker 1 (45:25):
I think it just again, it depends on the person,
if they really if you've got a lot of friends
and you want them to know and instead of it
becoming the oh my god, I didn't know and all that,
I would.
Speaker 2 (45:35):
Probably be at war with myself about it because part
of me would want everybody to know. All is well.
I am fine, this is a joint decision boom, right,
but I don't think that I would want to use
that for it.
Speaker 1 (45:46):
Right, You mean, not let everybody know, but more and
more of a private one. So you would rather send
out a formal press release.
Speaker 2 (45:54):
With a content why are you working on one of those?
Speaker 1 (45:57):
For questions please call well.
Speaker 2 (45:59):
Maybe it's a new tree and Sam, if you had
two friends two marriages.
Speaker 3 (46:03):
And by the way, I did reach out to both
and like, you know, my thoughts are with you. Sorry,
if you need me for anything, let me know.
Speaker 2 (46:10):
That's really one of them.
Speaker 3 (46:11):
I threw a joke in but I don't want to
share it.
Speaker 2 (46:12):
