Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to the Murphy Salmon Jody Daily Show Podcast.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
As we had started today, we got to talk about
what Sam's wearing. Okay, it was this for the party
that we were supposed to go to tonight.
Speaker 3 (00:12):
All of us like, yes, we were all invited to
a Taylor Swift listening party.
Speaker 4 (00:16):
Other stuff came up, so we're not going now.
Speaker 3 (00:19):
And part of the party was, Hey, if you want
to dress like a showgirl or dress like Travis Kelcey
or whatever, you can do that too.
Speaker 4 (00:26):
Yeah, and so you're wearing.
Speaker 3 (00:28):
I went on eBay and I got a Cincinnati Bearcats
jersey tramas was number twelve. By the way, this is
just number one, okay. And I was even going to
go buy some football pants too. Oh yeah, lucky. I
didn't go that far before we figured out we couldn't go.
So sigured, well, this is the day you wear it.
Speaker 4 (00:44):
Anyway, it is the day it is.
Speaker 2 (00:46):
It is the life of a showgirl day Murphy had
because you know, I had.
Speaker 4 (00:51):
Put some thought into it.
Speaker 3 (00:52):
Really, you're gonna be me.
Speaker 4 (00:54):
It was show girl ish.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
I have this really shiny, fun orange top that I
don't wear very much. It's show girly, but My favorite
thing is that I had this this really extra like
choker necklace that I never wear anymore. I put it
on top of my head the other day and it
was like boom. I was going to attach that to
my hair and I was gonna have like show girl,
(01:18):
you know, headdress, and I had have some glitter makeup.
I mean, I was going to go there. But now
I'm just gonna be sitting around in Pj's tonight.
Speaker 4 (01:29):
Murphy has any thought into this?
Speaker 1 (01:32):
Actually I had put no thought into it, so maybe
it's a good thing. I would have walked up and
it's like, hey, what are y'all doing?
Speaker 2 (01:39):
Oh, I would have helped you, but I knew we
had not talked about it. You know, usually when there's
a party where you have to, you know, wear a
certain thing is a theme.
Speaker 4 (01:50):
I'm Murphy's person.
Speaker 1 (01:51):
Yeah you are, because you're good at that. So yeah,
I'm bombed out because I mean we're not going to
get to hang out with our friends and all that.
But I'm glad you dressed up for it anyway, so
we can't do it there, might as well do it here.
Speaker 2 (02:02):
I should have worn my showgirl head dress today. I
wasn't thinking about it. But Sam, earlier in the week,
you wore a bright orange shirt and I, in the
back of my mind thought he bought that for the
showgirl stuff because it's new, is it not?
Speaker 3 (02:15):
Yeah? It is, Okay, just happens to be a color.
I like, Sure, I'm going to do with tailor.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
Sure, James going home to do life with a showgirl
totally Coming up at six fifty, Jody has three things
to know today.
Speaker 4 (02:27):
Coming up next, Sam has music news, let.
Speaker 3 (02:29):
You know which boy band could be getting back together
and this one looks real.
Speaker 2 (02:36):
Sam's got music news brought to you buy International Animal Rescue.
Speaker 3 (02:40):
Jody, you mentioned yesterday and the Hollywood Outsider that a
couple of the guys from One Direction are getting together
for a Netflix documentary.
Speaker 4 (02:47):
Everyone else touring the country sort.
Speaker 3 (02:50):
Of Zane and Louie getting together for that one. But
it's not the only kind of reunion that's in the works.
There is also a real reunion in the.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
Works, Okay, the meaning that includes justin Timberland.
Speaker 4 (03:06):
Whieah, that's the question, and that's if your answer as well.
Speaker 3 (03:09):
It's the thirtieth anniversary of them getting together. There was
an offer for the group to get together last year
they were talking.
Speaker 4 (03:16):
About this, We're talking about this forever.
Speaker 3 (03:18):
For a twenty twenty six stadium tour, it was presented
to all five guys and guess who never did engage
in that Justin? Right, So the other four guys have
gone ahead with some of the national touring promoters and
they said, you know what, we're going to work on
the four guys going out. If Justin wants to join, great,
but we think the four guys can go out together
(03:39):
and sell out arenas and do stuff.
Speaker 4 (03:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:42):
Yeah, that's what I'm thinking too.
Speaker 4 (03:43):
I think that a lot of them.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
Wait, I think a lot of the instinct faithful will show.
Speaker 4 (03:48):
Yeah, it will just be bigger with Justin.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
If it does come to be, we'll let you know
when tickets go and say all YadA, YadA, YadA, thank you.
I didn't know this, but Mariah Carey says that she
and Michael Jackson recorded a song together back in the day,
and she says she wants the song to be released.
Speaker 2 (04:04):
Now.
Speaker 3 (04:04):
What's held it up is Michael's estate. They've never decided Okay,
this song can come out and be released. She actually
wanted it released to put on the album. She just
put out here for it all.
Speaker 4 (04:14):
And it's probably fantastic.
Speaker 3 (04:17):
This is her, she says, Yeah, it is fantastic, she said.
Every time she plays the song for friends, they all go, wow,
this is gonna be an Instagram right.
Speaker 4 (04:25):
Well, you think she doesn't know it when she hears it,
she does. She knows.
Speaker 3 (04:29):
And finally, a little Bruce Springsteen biopic news. And by
the way, this is not Bruce Springsteen singing unreal. This
is Jeremy Allen White unreal. Wow, pretty good. Yeah, the
filmmaker is the Scott The director, Scott Cooper just released
this the other day. Hey trailer, here's what he sounds like,
(04:51):
singing like Bruce. Pretty good.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
Coming up next, your Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
Jody's Hollywood Outsider, brought to you by Primate Team missed.
Speaker 2 (05:03):
Another big thing going on at entertainment this weekend. Bad
Bunny hosting SNL for the first time. Now. He's been
to the show before to perform, but never to host.
So they did the little.
Speaker 4 (05:12):
Promo about him being there and being very comfortable.
Speaker 5 (05:14):
That's so cool that Bad Money's back.
Speaker 4 (05:16):
I feel like he's been here a lot recently. I
think he's getting comfortable with us.
Speaker 1 (05:19):
Yeah, for sure, I just I can't tell if he's
like too comfortable.
Speaker 3 (05:24):
Are you?
Speaker 4 (05:25):
It's okay that I'm using your tube brush, right.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
So he's walking around the set just doing stuff that's
way over boundaries to all the kid We're going to
see how funny that is, because it wasn't the funniest
promo Okay. By the way, this is his first time
hosting and first time for musical guest.
Speaker 4 (05:42):
Joja kats oh Oh.
Speaker 2 (05:44):
This is the season opener, season fifty one of SNL
on Saturday Night. Also, I have some really surprising news
from CBS. We're getting a reunion special of Everybody Loves
Raymond Ever?
Speaker 4 (05:58):
Wait, oh, come on, you're practically fogged up the mirror.
Speaker 2 (06:02):
With your so, hosted by star Ray Romano and the
Serious creator, and it's going to feature like all these
interviews with Brad Garrett and Patricia Heaton and all this
behind the scenes unseen footage we've never seen before. It's
ninety a ninety minute anniversary special. They're calling it the thirtieth,
but it's actually the twenty ninth year debut in nineteen
(06:23):
ninety six on CBS November twenty.
Speaker 4 (06:26):
Fourth, Coming Up with Murphy Salmon, Jody, it's.
Speaker 3 (06:28):
Some actual proof for you that laughter is the best medicine.
Don't you find that most medical professionals don't really like
the crack jokes.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
I don't try to crack jokes with medical professionals, so
I wouldn't know that any.
Speaker 3 (06:43):
You mean, they initiate a joke, they usually the doctors
or text or anything. They usually don't come in with
a one liner.
Speaker 1 (06:50):
Or well they're probably not going to because I don't know,
they don't know who's who they're talking to, how serious
the condition is.
Speaker 3 (06:56):
So it's the most serious professional.
Speaker 1 (06:58):
It's a context thing, not the right place to do.
Speaker 3 (07:00):
And Jody, I do like you too. I try to
break the ice or my nerves, you know, crack a
joke and it usually it's.
Speaker 4 (07:06):
Like, well what's funny about you? Say?
Speaker 2 (07:08):
You Sam that you crack jokes, and it doesn't land.
When I cracked jokes in my doctor's offices, it lands,
Oh that's good.
Speaker 4 (07:15):
Yeah, they think I'm funny in there.
Speaker 3 (07:17):
I don't know why that's good. I had a great experience.
I had to do some blood work, and so I
went in and met the phlebotomist and you know, you
sit down and all that and the first thing she
asks is which arm, And I said, I don't care,
just do the right arm. So she paused for a
beat and then she says, which one's the right arm?
Speaker 1 (07:38):
I love that, and you're like a in fact.
Speaker 3 (07:42):
And she did it stuck one stick. Boom, it was done.
I was and I was walking out. I was like,
you know what, I had to tell her again, that
was a good one. You gotta use that one again.
And she started cracking up. And it's wonderful kind of thing.
I don't You usually don't get professional in that role
forbotomist is gonna. They know that most people don't want
to be stuck. And so you know, I mean, like, uh,
(08:05):
it's it's either the warmth that works in that case
or the joke.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
Either works. Daniella, who is one, winds up sticking to
me most of the time. I'm used to that realized.
I get blood drawn every six months minimum, and so
she but she's always so warm, friendly and welcoming. And
as many times I've been stuck, you still get a
little bit apprehensive.
Speaker 4 (08:25):
Of course, you're human, you don't want to be stuck. Yeah,
it's the anticipation of the stick that they have a.
Speaker 3 (08:30):
Lot better things to do than be sitting here to
get stuck.
Speaker 4 (08:33):
Yeah, it's part of life. Another thing here.
Speaker 2 (08:35):
No matter what profession, not everyone has a sense of humor.
You can't expect a stand up comedian every time you
go to any sort of medical you know.
Speaker 4 (08:44):
So it's a it's a nice little surprise.
Speaker 2 (08:47):
I don't know what percentage of the population has a
sense of humor, but I'm looking for them.
Speaker 1 (08:55):
Part of the you know, part of the thing of
a sense of humor is timing, and so if the
timing doesn't feel right, they're not gonna throw the joke.
Speaker 3 (09:00):
Her timing was perfect, So Rachel, thank you very much.
Speaker 1 (09:03):
I'm gonna steal that one, by the way next time. Yeah,
I'll reverse it though. I'm gonna say, you know which arm,
and I'm gonna hold my right out and say let's
do my left, all right?
Speaker 4 (09:11):
Coming up next. Three things to Know Today. Three things
to Know Today.
Speaker 3 (09:17):
Brought to you by State Farm.
Speaker 2 (09:18):
Number one, Cracker Barrel has ended its partnership with Profit,
the consulting firm that's behind that failed rebrand that upset
all the customers and upset their marketing and all of that.
They and They had some backlash when they did the
new logo that dropped the iconic image of the elderly
man leaning on the barrel known as Uncle Herschel. Their
(09:41):
shares are still down, but they're they're rebranding, moving forward
with what we traditionally say we want from cracker Barrel.
Speaker 4 (09:48):
Number two.
Speaker 2 (09:48):
Today's a big day in the life of Diddy Sean
Diddy COLEMs. We'll find out if he goes home or
if he needs to chill in prison a little while longer.
He was found guilty of the prostitution really charges, but
got off on the more serious conspiracy and trafficking rap.
So prosecutors are seeking an eleven year sentence, and his
defense team they're pushing for time served.
Speaker 4 (10:11):
There were letters written.
Speaker 2 (10:12):
By some of those who had testified to the judge,
very emotional. What did He also sent his his own
to the judge. This week and number three it has happened.
Taylor Swift drops her new album, The Life of a
show Girl. And then, of course all those screening parties
at AMC theaters today for the world premiere of the
music video to this song, The Fate of Ophelia.

okay about it.
Speaker 4 (11:14):
Team USA.
Speaker 2 (11:15):
He's going to be representing and working with NBC again
for the Milan Winter Olympics.
Speaker 1 (11:21):
And so wait, added so much to the he does.
Speaker 2 (11:25):
He does the work, he you know, checks in with
NBC and does the reporting. But to me, he's also
like a Team USA's cheerleader. He shows up in the
stands and he pumps up the athletes. So yeah, looking
for Snoop there. Number three there are two different members
of One Direction who are making a Netflix documentary. It's
(11:45):
Zane and Louie reuniting together, hitting the road across the US.
They're going to be filming. They're already filming, apparently, talking
about One Direction experiences and even doing some tributes to
Liam Payne. We have no idea when it's coming, but
it will be on Netflix, a full documentary. Number two,
here's the one that's the heart breaker. Nicole Kidman and
(12:06):
Keith Urban have split up. She's filed for divorce. They've
been living apart for a very long time. They are
rumors swirling that he's sort of already moved on with
someone else.
Speaker 4 (12:16):
I don't want to like get into any of that yet.
Speaker 2 (12:20):
There's also rumors that he's not supportive of her career.
She's been supportive of his.
Speaker 1 (12:26):
Whole lot of rumors.
Speaker 4 (12:27):
It's a lot, you know.
Speaker 2 (12:27):
You can't know what's going on inside of a marriage.
Only those two people really know. But the world collectively
can agree that we're pretty sad about it.
Speaker 1 (12:35):
Number one it's here.
Speaker 2 (12:37):
Taylor Swift's twelfth album, The Life of a Showgirl, dropped

Speaker 4 (13:13):
The Life of a show Girl is here.
Speaker 1 (13:14):

It's Grateful Friday.
Speaker 4 (13:21):
Grateful Friday. You know what to do?
Speaker 2 (13:23):
Eight seven seven three one zero four MSJ. You can
tell us about someone you're grateful for or something something big,
life changing or a little like your coffee.
Speaker 4 (13:34):

Speaker 1 (13:35):
How are you, Alita good?
Speaker 5 (13:37):
I'm just calling about your grateful Friday?
Speaker 4 (13:40):
Oh yes, sang tell us.
Speaker 5 (13:42):
I'm grateful for all the coughs out there. My dad
was the next cop and a next deputy sheriff, and
you know, cuda to these guys these days, I don't
people don't want to be them anymore because they're like
stuck between rocks and hard places. It's just time and
need yes, I feel for him these days. And no
matter what they do, they do wrong and and I
(14:03):
I hate it because he loved his job, right, you know.
I mean there are people that do things bad, and
you know, if they go to do anything with them,
then they're getting in trouble for it.
Speaker 4 (14:14):
I know it's it they are.
Speaker 2 (14:16):
They are between a rock and a hard place because
the most investigated. But could any could all of us
do it?
Speaker 4 (14:21):
No way? My uncle was a police officer, and he said.
Speaker 2 (14:24):
You have to realize that you put yourself in an
adrenaline producing situation every day of your life, and you
have to put your hands on people that you normally
would stay away from things like that.
Speaker 4 (14:37):
That's what I'm grateful for, right for all of the
police officers. Well, thank you for that.
Speaker 1 (14:42):
Yeah, we appreciate you, Alita. You know the other thing
about you know, police officers see things that a lot
of us wouldn't see. Oh, domestic disputes and car accidents
and things that are just you know.
Speaker 4 (14:52):
Things are horrible.
Speaker 2 (14:53):
They also see those things and take those home and
sometimes never forget them.
Speaker 4 (14:59):
Yeah, right, I'm.
Speaker 3 (15:00):
Not because I'm thinking a true crime documentaries and some
of the stuff those officers say they've seen it's just
like wow.
Speaker 1 (15:06):
And I feel the same way about first any first responder,
you know, fire department, My brother.
Speaker 4 (15:10):
You have to also just thank goodness.
Speaker 2 (15:13):
We all have different skill sets because you motivation. You
were talking about the phlebottomous Sam, I've thought that many times.
Speaker 4 (15:21):
Could I stick people with a needle?
Speaker 5 (15:24):
No?
Speaker 2 (15:24):
But thank goodness, there are people who are good at that,
like doing that. Understand how you know, Thank goodness. We
all have different skill sets. So thank you again. Alita,
jump in anytime. So many ways to join us eight
seven seven three one zero four ms Jay.
Speaker 1 (15:40):
Coming up next, Jody has another Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 5 (15:45):
Trending Now.
Speaker 4 (15:46):
Jody's Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 3 (15:48):
Brought to you by Private Team.
Speaker 2 (15:49):
Miss Taylor Swift set to be on The Graham Norton
Show tonight. Remember because she dropped the album last night,
The Life of a show Girl.
Speaker 3 (15:57):
Oh yeah, I forgot about that.
Speaker 2 (16:00):
This song is called wish List and it's definitely about
Travis Kelsey.
Speaker 4 (16:04):
Okay, anyway, so.
Speaker 2 (16:05):
The word is on this show. She's already taped it.
She talked to him about the proposal. She explains how
he really crushed it and how he had this whole
garden created while she was busy doing that podcast, and
so she said that he went all out and it's
a ten out of a ten.
Speaker 3 (16:21):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (16:21):
Talked about the upcoming wedding as well, So a big deal.
Speaker 2 (16:25):
Thanksgiving for the Big for the Graham Norton Show, and
by the way, for the Swifties. She looks gorgeous in
the clips and she is wearing her engagement ring.
Speaker 4 (16:34):
Man, that's a pretty ring. Moving on, I want to.
Speaker 2 (16:36):
Say this Today is the opening day for one of
the most incredibly brave things that Dwayne the Rock Johnson
has ever done. His movie that's getting Oscar buzz already.
Remember it's called The Smashing Machine.
Speaker 4 (16:48):
Winning is the best feeling there is oh forty thousand.
Speaker 5 (16:52):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (16:52):
He plays Mma fighter Mark Kerr, and they say, this
is not your typical biopic. It's not glossy. It's a
gritty biopic, and so he goes the distance in this performance.
It is opening this week at the box office, even
though The Tailor Relict is also.
Speaker 4 (17:10):
Play coming up with Murphy Samon Jody Proof that your
dog really loves you?
Speaker 2 (17:15):
What happens in that dog's brain when you pet him?
Your dog really loves you? It's not about treats. It's
not about the food. It's about you. And there is
medical proof.
Speaker 1 (17:28):
Now, sure, it's not about the treats.
Speaker 4 (17:30):
MRI studies have revealed they like that.
Speaker 2 (17:33):
But MRI studies have revealed something amazing about dogs, and
it's it's that the love for their owner lights up
a special part of their brain that's a different part
of their brain and a different activity than a treat
or a food or whatever. When you pet them, when
they smell you, if you're good to them, if you're
the one they look to, if you're their alpha, Yeah,
(17:55):
a different part of their brain lights up. It's not
just a habit when they greet you. There's some than
going on for them. And you know what it is.
Speaker 4 (18:02):
It's love. Isn't that beautiful?
Speaker 2 (18:05):
And I totally I don't need science to tell me that. Yeah,
I knew that when I was a little girl.
Speaker 3 (18:09):
Behavior shows you that, I know.
Speaker 4 (18:11):
But it's just lovely. When they back it up with science.
Speaker 1 (18:14):
It is. But you know, like our long hair, true,
I was sparky, you know. I think it is more
in love with the food than me.
Speaker 4 (18:20):
He's a little selfish, I'll give you that.
Speaker 1 (18:22):
He is because for example in me. The other day.
He walked up to me and I could tell he
was disappointed when I didn't feed him something. It's like,
I'm just I don't want to pat you. It's what
are you looking for?
Speaker 2 (18:31):
He might love you a little bit. He might be there,
just like with people. Some people are love driven and
emotion driven and some people are reward driven.
Speaker 1 (18:40):
Yeah, well, I talk him and I talked to him
in that loving pet owner voice.
Speaker 4 (18:43):
I know you do.
Speaker 2 (18:45):
Fo. We asked you to tell us in what ways
does your dog show you that they love you, Jimmy says,
My Valentino sits close to me and puts a.
Speaker 4 (18:54):
Pall on my lap.
Speaker 2 (18:56):
Rebecca said, after a death in the family, I was
sitting on the sofa crying. My dog came to me,
put her paw on my knee and her head on
my lap. She stayed there, no movement until I stopped crying.
Speaker 1 (19:09):
That is sweet.
Speaker 2 (19:11):
Christy said, our dog howls when we leave the house
as if you know, don't go. The Ferbo dog camera
has been a game changer though.
Speaker 4 (19:21):
Ferbo it's one.
Speaker 2 (19:24):
Of those dog cameras where they I think it talked
you can talk to your dog through it ow.
Speaker 4 (19:28):
Yeah, really, yeah, you want to get one, Murphy.
Speaker 1 (19:31):
I mean, as long as it doesn't confuse them, you know, sure.
Speaker 4 (19:34):
Yeah, immediatly confused.
Speaker 2 (19:36):
But I thought you were here, Karen said, I went
to bed last night and my dog jumped up and
gave me an Eskimo kiss.
Speaker 1 (19:42):
This is a nightly what you want Coming up next,
Jody has three things to Know Today.
Speaker 3 (19:50):
Three Things to Know Today brought to you by State Farm.
Speaker 2 (19:53):
Number one, now that Snapchat has announced they're going to
start charging users to keep all those saved pictures and
posts your memories, Snapchat users are deleting them by the thousands,
by the minutes. You don't want to pay for the memories.
It would be like an extra three bucks a month.
Speaker 3 (20:07):
I don't want to pay if you'd use this.
Speaker 2 (20:09):
More than five gig gigs of storage to you know,
you have to pay to keep it.
Speaker 4 (20:12):
And that's the new deal.
Speaker 2 (20:13):
So lots of people are like, Okay, this was great,
but not worth the money. Number two, there's an online
challenge that's getting some young people in trouble. And this
is nuts and crazy, but you need to know from
the movie K Pop Demon Hunters, there's an instant noodle
challenge that's got these kids slurping down really hot ramen,
just like the characters in the movies. So what do
(20:34):
you think is happening?
Speaker 3 (20:35):
Burns?
Speaker 2 (20:36):
Burns and younger patients internal burns and then if the
bowl spills, skin burns as well. The cases of these
are just an uptick in ers all over the place,
and burns specialists say that younger kids are more vulnerable
because their skin burns faster.
Speaker 4 (20:52):
Don't do a challenge like that. Those were animated characters, right.
Speaker 2 (20:56):
And number three, there's a theme park in New Jersey
that's sell their collection of animatronic dinosaurs. Man, would you
like that in your yard for the holiday?
Speaker 4 (21:05):
Yeah? Thirty one different dinos up for sale.
Speaker 2 (21:08):
One of them is the size of a school bus
that'll cost you like twelve hundred bucks. Ain't that There's
an eighteen foot tall t Rex that'll set you back
three grand.
Speaker 3 (21:16):
Almost the same price as home depots.
Speaker 2 (21:18):
They all move electronically, but you do have to find
a way to get them home.
Speaker 4 (21:22):
You're up to date. Three things to know today, Grateful Friday,
and I've got a personal one.
Speaker 2 (21:28):
We do want to hear yours though, always join us
Murphy Samonjody dot com. You can email your grateful situations
in earlier Yes, I have a personal one though, and
it's you, Murphy. Something you did this week?
Speaker 1 (21:42):
Oh what really?
Speaker 4 (21:44):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (21:44):
So that's sweet. This is unexpected. I mean, I just
don't know what you're about to say. I know, and
I'm not really you don't sweat I am okay, I'm
just killing. Of course I'm killing.
Speaker 4 (21:58):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (21:59):
So our youngest is going on a road trip today. She's,
you know, heading out to visit a friend, her boyfriend,
and it's about like a three hour drive. And so
she was at the house a couple of nights this
week and every night we you know, mert. I didn't
I'm made dinner and stuff. I did the mom thing,
you know, we talked and stuff. But Murphy went out
to her car with her, and you guys did all
(22:21):
the things.
Speaker 4 (22:22):
I'm trying to remember what you did, Like was it
break fluid?
Speaker 1 (22:27):
So she checked her she checked her air pressure and
her tires. She did that on her own. She checked
the oil. She did that on her own. But with you,
like yeah, with me, but you know, but she understand
you know, that understands how to do That's both Taylor
and Phoebe. That's walking through that process and so break fluid, power, steering,
fluid and coolant.
Speaker 2 (22:45):
Which is the big eb What I'm grateful for doing
it for them is one thing. But you're not teaching
someone if you're doing something for them anything boiling pasta
doing maintenance on a car, you know, anything laundry.
Speaker 4 (22:59):
Teaching your kids.
Speaker 2 (23:01):
To do something for themselves is more empowering and more
important because you're not going to be here forever, and
neither am I and I just love that.
Speaker 1 (23:08):
And I mean, car metingans isn't the most exciting thing
in the world, right, So I've tried to keep it
very basic, just to the most important things, you know,
which is like coolant. You don't want to be you
don't want your radiator in the car overheating on the
road and the turnout hers was low. And when you
go buy coolant you have to make sure it's the
right fit for your vehicle because not all coolants are
the same, and so.
Speaker 4 (23:27):
Had to be the run outside and do some of
these with you.
Speaker 1 (23:29):
Though the red pink Toyota well, because you know, if
you mix like different coolants, you can screw the radiator up.
Big time. I wouldn't have known that it creates clumping.
But anyway, Yeah, and then so in checking air pressure. Really,
what I told both of them is they're only a
handful of things on the road that are going to
get you in a bad place your tires, you know,
not having enough oil or not having enough radiator fluid. Police, right,
(23:50):
and the police, Well, Phoebe's found that one out the
hard way. Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 2 (23:55):
Anyway, I'm just grateful that you are the kind of
dad that teaches that in a way that they feel empowered.
They're still gonna call us if they hit up, if
they have a problem, but at least they feel empowered.
Well you know, so that's the grateful. Don't be so shocked.
Speaker 1 (24:10):
Thank you. Coming up next, Sam is the food dude.
Speaker 3 (24:13):
I'm gonna gets you ready in advance for National Taco
Day next Tuesday.
Speaker 4 (24:19):
Sam's always up on the new eats. He's the food dude,
brought to you by Calls.
Speaker 3 (24:24):
Next Tuesday is a big day. It's a Taco Tuesday,
but it's also National Taco Day.
Speaker 4 (24:29):
Oh on Tuesday.
Speaker 3 (24:30):
Convenient? Nice, that's right to time. Yeah, I'm sure everybody's
gonna have deals. And next Tuesday, we'll probably have some
more to tell you about, but Taco Bell's already getting
in on it. They said, Next Tuesday, pretty much every
hour of the day, there's going to be a special
four different hours. You can get one dollar canteena Chicken
soft tacos.
Speaker 4 (24:46):
Oh I like that.
Speaker 3 (24:47):
There's gonna be an hour where you can get a
free T shirt, a Taco Tuesday T shirt, and even
one hour where they're gonna give away Taco Tuesday for
a year from Taco Bell. Sure, yeah, all right, yeah,
so the best thing to do is having on Taco
Bell app to know which hour is whitch and you
know how to get it. Also, next week, a beloved
restaurant chain that hasn't been around since two thousand and
(25:07):
four I think, is coming back, Chee Cheese.
Speaker 4 (25:11):
Oh yeah, wow, it's been a minute.
Speaker 3 (25:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (25:15):
Well, you've been able to buy their salsa still, its
stores a lot of stuff.
Speaker 3 (25:19):
They actually sell chips too. On Monday, they're going to
be opening up their first new Chee Cheese just outside
of Minneapolis. The son of the original founder is the
one that asked Dad, Hey, can I can I start
this up again? And he said, I don't care so
he went and bought Hormel actually on the name now
for some reasons, so he went and bought the name.
Opened up. He's gonna open up the restaurant. And he said,
(25:40):
it's all the original recipes, the original chimney changa, the
deep fried ice cream. Hello, I remember I had that
the first time.
Speaker 4 (25:47):
I don't remember they do.
Speaker 2 (25:49):
I remember going and having fun with my friends. It's
been a long time ago, but.
Speaker 4 (25:53):
I wish him luck.
Speaker 2 (25:55):
That's a cool thing to do, you know, start over
from the ground up. You know.
Speaker 3 (26:00):
Boo buckets are coming back on October twenty first at McDonald's.
They've added two new buckets this year. They have the Ghost,
they have the Pumpkin, they have the Goblin. But this
year they're also adding the cat and the zombie.
Speaker 4 (26:10):
Yeah, now I want the cat.
Speaker 3 (26:12):
Yeah. It's an all black bucket and it's got a cat.
Speaker 1 (26:14):
Based on it's so cute.
Speaker 3 (26:16):
Cup There Pizza Huts bringing back the Big Dinner Box
and if you're not familiar with that one, for just
nineteen ninety nine, you get two medium one topping pizzas,
eight boneous wings, and five breadsticks.
Speaker 4 (26:27):
It's a deal, O big Friday night deal, right, there, yeah.
Speaker 3 (26:31):
And Baskin Robbins kind of copy in Little Debbie for
their latest Flavor of the Month. This month, their new
flavor is Galactic Brownie ice Cream like cosmic Brownie ice cream.
Galactic Brownie ice cream and it looks just like cosmic brownie.
Speaker 2 (26:46):
Right of course it does. Coming up next your Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 3 (26:51):
Trending now, Jody's Hollywood Outsider, brought to you by Private Team.
Speaker 2 (26:55):
Miss Tiki Blinders is back in a big way over
at Netflix. So they've announced a sequel series from the
original shows writer and creator. They even got a two
season order already, so you know it's coming, along with
the BBC producing it.
Speaker 4 (27:09):
It'll take place in nineteen fifty.
Speaker 2 (27:11):
Three, so after the events and the occurrences of the
original show and the area being rebuilt after being heavily
bombed in World War Two, then the Shelby family right in.
Speaker 4 (27:22):
The middle of all of that.
Speaker 3 (27:24):
So Killian Murphy.
Speaker 2 (27:25):
Killian Murphy is an executive producer making sure it happens correctly,
but he will not return.
Speaker 4 (27:31):
They have not announced.
Speaker 2 (27:32):
Casting details yet or a release date. But if you
love that world, it's from the same.
Speaker 3 (27:37):
Creator making a movie too, aren't the movie.
Speaker 2 (27:39):
Is coming as well. It's called The Immortal Man. It's
a prequel film in production. All right, moving on to
one of the looks. It's October one of the scariest
things that you can binge drop today. It's an eight
part series on Netflix. Also, it's Charlie Hunnam in Monster
the ed Geen Story.
Speaker 4 (27:56):
There's something real dark value, Eddie Cana. I mean, the
trailer is scary.
Speaker 2 (28:03):
I don't think I can let this in, but anyway,
it is eight eight episodes. And by the way, Charlie
hunhum to it was so psychologically heavy for him to
play this that he went to sort of shed the
character to the killer's actual grave. This was a real
person to say goodbye to him and the character.
Speaker 5 (28:24):
Social media connect got.
Speaker 2 (28:26):
Some food questions rolling into Facebook and Instagram and even
at Murphy Samonjody dot com. So let's answer and then
we'll get to the love of the dogs. Angela sent
this question regarding no bake energy bites, which I whip
those up all the time, I roll them into balls
and give him his gifts, or or when I make
him for Murphy, I just I don't even roll him
(28:47):
into balls. You just eat him with a spoon, no
bake energy bites. The question is how much does this recipe?
How many does this recipe make?
Speaker 3 (28:57):
Balls?
Speaker 2 (28:57):
Yeah, and honestly I've never counted. I want to say
twelve or thirteen.
Speaker 1 (29:02):
Yeah, it's not a huge batch that it makes.
Speaker 4 (29:05):
It's not enough.
Speaker 2 (29:07):
I would say about a dozen angela depending on the
size that you roll. So when I make it for
a crowd, I have to double the recipe. But one
bunch is about you know, it's a small little container.
The recipe is on our website and basically what's in
it old fashioned oats, coconuts, chocolate chip pieces, honey, vanilla,
(29:31):
and peanut butter.
Speaker 4 (29:32):
That's the big one. Yes, oh so good.
Speaker 2 (29:35):
All right, This came in to Murphy Samonjody dot com.
It's an email from Jony Gotta love that name. It's
about your pizza dough Sam. Oh, simple question is the
water warm?
Speaker 3 (29:48):
You can make it warm? I make I just get
it out the faucet. Room temperature, room temp.
Speaker 2 (29:52):
Yeah, is warm water important to doughy?
Speaker 3 (29:56):
Is that to say warm water? Because it gets the
yeast you know, activated, Sure, but you put it in
room temperature water, it activates the east too.
Speaker 4 (30:04):
You've never tried it warm then.
Speaker 2 (30:05):
In the past, maybe I have, Okay, yeah, I always
thought that had something to do with it.
Speaker 4 (30:10):
I've never made pizza dough from scratch.
Speaker 3 (30:11):
Recipe that we put up the new one, the one
that says use this one.
Speaker 2 (30:16):
It's just room's fine. Yeah, excellent. So there you go, Joni.
And there are two Sam pizza dough recipes online at
the website, the old one and the new and improved
that makes three. And back to your dog loves you,
we want to know how and how they show it,
Marcia said, always greeting us when we come home, no
matter whether it's been five minutes or a couple of hours,
(30:36):
and talking to us in their love language. Yeah, when
your dog talks to you, I feel like they love you.
