Like it, and I actually really loved her in the
movie The Help. She was in The Help and she
did a great job. And before that, I think she
had worked on with seth Rogen and those guys, and
she's super bad.

Yeah, Okay, enjoy that for a second. And her whole
story in Hollywood is really super interesting. Remember how when
she won that Academy Award, we learned about her, you know,
wanting to when she left high school go straight to
Hollywood and work this life. And she had to really
convince her family to let her do it, and so

she did like a PowerPoint presentation about why she should
go and do it and that funny. She recently sat
on a panel and did this whole discussion opening up
about her mental health struggles and that she has anxiety
and panic attacks. In fact, when she was a kid,
she was diagnosed with generalized anxiety and panic disorder.

So it's it's amazing that she does what she does now.

They didn't tell her, they didn't give her this big diagnosis,
they didn't tell her that heavy those heavy words. They
just worked with her, you know what I mean. She
just did therapy along the way, and she says she
feels like it helped her acting career because when she
would start to feel panicky, one of the things as
they taught her was to start doing improv for her.
So she was doing that sort of stuff all along
the way. Oh isn't that crazy?

Wow? You know what improv meaning just kind of slip into.

Slip into character, slip into situations to take your mind
off of Hey, you know, it's a coping mechanism of
what you think is about to happen is not really happening.
Like the panics setting in for stuff that's not actually happening.
That came out of left field for me.

Surprising to me that there are a lot of things
like that that surprise us about celebrities. I mean there
are people too, but we don't see that usually because
it's all behind the screen, right.

They were actually married. Kimberly and her husband were married

away from something bad, really bad going wrong. So we
want to help people have to do that little bit
to get back on their.

because they were having a family vacation in California and

up some time next year once they get all the

get me with more than one book, I like it. Yeah,

a fan, or if you want to have something like
this to watch and binge together as a family. They're
soon going to be all over Netflix. So Netflix has
signed a multi year deal with the company that owns this,
the C. S. Lewis Company. C. S. Lewis is the

author of the book. They're going to do them now.
They haven't gotten very specific about what that means. Will
it be like a show and seasons, or it will
be a series of movies because Netflix is also in
the movie business. They haven't gotten specific about that. But
it's all going to be within the same people putting
it out, so to me, it will be consistent. Yeah,
it's gonna have the few movies or a few shows

they're going to bring back and give you full length,
you know, new retellings.

of ourus have cameras. But if you've got one of
the Amazon units that has the camera on it, the
Echo Spot and the Echo Show, which you know you
can use them for like security for your home and monitoring,
and I guess you can probably shop on Amazon and

see pictures and things. I've not used woo, but.

I'm not the biggest nervous about it.

You would have one of those at your house. No,
I don't have. And you know the thing is, I'm
intrigued by it, but we already have a different security system,
so I don't know that I actually want that covered. Well,
I mean, I'm I guess I'm a music guy, and
so that's really why we've got the echoes like we do, right.
But the problem that you need to be aware does
involve the version that has the camera. And this is
going to sound no dub. But the more that artificial

intelligence is something we use, some people don't understand that
the drop in feature, which if you've got the camera,
if you've got the Echoes that don't have the camera,
this is not a big deal because it's not going
to happen to you. But if you do have the
versions with the camera, you know you can accept calls
from the outside world, not just intercom in your house,
but you can accept calls from the outside world. And
you know, call your friends just by saying, hey, call

blah blah blah, and they can do the same thing.
Well if they if you authorize them for drop in,
they can drop in on you. And the unit answers
and if you've got the camera version, you'll see them.
They'll see you. You don't have to answer it. It
automatically connects and they can drop in. I'll see what
you're doing.

Now you don't accept it, it just comes in.

Well you accept it the first time, but once you've
accepted somebody as a drop in contact, they can always
drop in on you.

when they first started doing web axes, the cameras automatically
came on. Now that doesn't happen anymore.

I was all into it and somebody said, nice tank
and I'm like, how do you know I'm wearing a

drop in or you can just not accept contacts from
the outside world. And again this is only on the
versions with the camera. If you have the camera version,
you probably should keep it in the kitchen or something
like that.

crazy phone call that was trying to or you suspected
it of being a scam.

You know, actually the call was legit. Yeah, it was
actually from the bank asking about a loan. But you know,
I question because they called me instead of me calling
them and started asking like date of birth and all
that stuff. I'm like, hey, can I call you back? Yeah,
and that's what I did.

Murphy doesn't want to give his date of birth to
the doctor, like you know, he's super protective of that
private information, which is.
Speaker 1 (25:26):
Smart as long as it's encrypted.

I'm fine, Yeah, Okay, Well that whole conversation got me thinking.
When I got a phone call this morning from a
number I didn't recognize. I looked up the little area
code that came with it, and it was a toll
free number. But it says, hey, this is they left
a voicemail robo call. This is a my bank calling

to verify recent transactions on your debit card ending in
my debit card's number due to unusual activity a card
or a hold might be placed on it. So we
need you to call us back, and here's your case number,
blah blah blah, and again the toll free number is this.

Then we're available twenty four Man.
Speaker 2 (26:08):
What's your first thought when you see that? When you
hear that, Murphy, Well, I.
Speaker 1 (26:11):
Mean my first thought is I absolutely want to know, Okay,
is it real? But what I always do is go back.
I pull out my card, debit card or whatever and
call the number on the card and if that person,
if it's legit, can then rout me to where I'm
supposed to be. But I don't ever return the call
back to the number.
Speaker 5 (26:26):
Yeah, that was my first thought. Yeah, I wondered why
on earth they wouldn't be calling from the number that's
on the back of the card.
Speaker 1 (26:34):
Yeah, I mean, I don't know. Maybe it's good because
they also use you know.

But see that makes us suspicious as consumers.
Speaker 4 (26:43):
Yeah, I don't taste anything anymore.

Spend some more time with Murphy. Yeah, your question everything

Always the you know, one of the credit card companies
you know, actually had that in their little enclosure that said,
we're never going to call you for this. If you do,
you know, get a caller message, always call the number
back on your card. I'm like, okay, cool, so that's.

On your card for a reason. Yeah, so is that
your plan? Yeah, my plan is going to be to
call the number on the back of the card. But
the crazy thing is the card has a different number
than the one that they told me to call back on.

Yeah, we'll just check and touch it out and see,
you know what I mean. Or you can always call
it out and give it a chance. Not advisable, Yeah, sure,

got a you know, magnifying glass and a really cool hat.

golden doodle, which is also her favorite kind of dog.
Here's the story, the backstory on the dog. I didn't
go looking for this, but it found me. This is
Bradley Cooper's actual dog, named Charlie after his father He
named the dog after his father after his father passed
away died of cancer. Charlie in the Bavel with lung cancer.

The dog's name is Charlie in the movie. Yeah, so
there's the backstory on the dog everybody, and he is
a lovely, lovely thing. Just want to hug him and
squeeze him. Bradley and the Dog, Yeah, I love that.
By moving on to one of your favorite people in
the world, Sam, Miss Katie Perry, Orlando Bloom's girlfriend. Yes,

they dated so seriously for like a year, and then
they broke up, remember, and they've just been nice to
each other but not together. They reunited again this year

rumors swirling around This would be the second for both

Like it, and I actually really loved her in the
movie The Help. She was in The Help and she
did a great job. And before that, I think she
had worked on with seth Rogen and those guys, and
she's super bad.

Yeah, Okay, enjoy that for a second. And her whole
story in Hollywood is really super interesting. Remember how when
she won that Academy Award, we learned about her, you know,
wanting to when she left high school go straight to
Hollywood and work this life. And she had to really
convince her family to let her do it, and so

she did like a PowerPoint presentation about why she should
go and do it and that funny. She recently sat
on a panel and did this whole discussion opening up
about her mental health struggles and that she has anxiety
and panic attacks. In fact, when she was a kid,
she was diagnosed with generalized anxiety and panic disorder.

So it's it's amazing that she does what she does now.

They didn't tell her, they didn't give her this big diagnosis,
they didn't tell her that heavy those heavy words. They
just worked with her, you know what I mean. She
just did therapy along the way, and she says she
feels like it helped her acting career because when she
would start to feel panicky, one of the things as
they taught her was to start doing improv for her.
So she was doing that sort of stuff all along
the way. Oh isn't that crazy?

Wow? You know what improv meaning just kind of slip into.

Slip into character, slip into situations to take your mind
off of Hey, you know, it's a coping mechanism of
what you think is about to happen is not really happening.
Like the panics setting in for stuff that's not actually happening.

Surprising to me that there are a lot of things
like that that surprise us about celebrities. I mean there
are people too, but we don't see that usually because
it's all behind the screen, right.

Harvest food bank in the area and what it'll do

both put this together and they said, it's it's not

you know, every now and then, everybody is one step
away from something bad, really bad going wrong. So we
want to help people have to do that little bit
to get back on their.

this to watch and binge together as a family. They're
soon going to be all over Netflix. So Netflix has
signed a multi year deal with the company that owns this,
the C. S. Lewis Company. C. S. Lewis is the

author of the book. They're going to do them now.
They haven't gotten very specific about what that means. Will
it be like a show and seasons, or it will
be a series of movies because Netflix is also in
the movie business. They haven't gotten specific about that. But
it's all going to be within the same people putting
it out, so to me, it will be consistent. Yeah,
it's gonna have the few movies or a few shows

they're going to bring back and give you full length,
you know, new retellings.

the Amazon units that has the camera on it, the
Echo Spot and the Echo Show, which you know you
can use them for like security for your home and monitoring,
and I guess you can probably shop on Amazon and

You would have one of those at your house. No,
I don't have. And you know the thing is, I'm
intrigued by it, but we already have a different security system,

so that's really why we've got the echoes like we do, right.
But the problem that you need to be aware does
involve the version that has the camera. And this is
going to sound no dub. But the more that artificial

intelligence is something we use, some people don't understand that
the drop in feature, which if you've got the camera,
if you've got the Echoes that don't have the camera,
this is not a big deal because it's not going
to happen to you. But if you do have the
versions with the camera, you know you can accept calls
from the outside world, not just intercom in your house,
but you can accept calls from the outside world. And
you know, call your friends just by saying, hey, call

blah blah blah, and they can do the same thing.
Well if they if you authorize them for drop in,
they can drop in on you. And the unit answers
and if you've got the camera version, you'll see them.
They'll see you. You don't have to answer it. It
automatically connects and they can drop in. I'll see what
you're doing.

Now you don't accept it, it just comes in.

Well you accept it the first time, but once you've
accepted somebody as a drop in contact, they can always
drop in on you.

you probably should keep it in the kitchen or something

crazy phone call that was trying to or you suspected
it of being a scam.

You know, actually the call was legit. Yeah, it was
actually from the bank asking about a loan. But you know,
I question because they called me instead of me calling
them and started asking like date of birth and all
that stuff. I'm like, hey, can I call you back? Yeah,
and that's what I did.
Speaker 3 (25:20):
Murphy doesn't want to give his date of birth to
the doctor, like you know, he's super protective of that
private information, which is.
Speaker 1 (25:26):
Smart as long as it's encrypted.
Speaker 5 (25:27):
I'm fine, Yeah, Okay, Well that whole conversation got me thinking.
When I got a phone call this morning from a
number I didn't recognize. I looked up the little area
code that came with it, and it was a toll
free number. But it says, hey, this is they left
a voicemail robo call. This is a my bank calling
(25:49):
to verify recent transactions on your debit card ending in
my debit card's number due to unusual activity a card
or a hold might be placed on it. So we
need you to call us back, and here's your case number,
blah blah blah, and again the toll free number is this.
Speaker 4 (26:07):
Then we're available twenty four Man.
Speaker 2 (26:08):
What's your first thought when you see that? When you
hear that, Murphy, Well, I.
Speaker 1 (26:11):
Mean my first thought is I absolutely want to know, Okay,
is it real? But what I always do is go back.
I pull out my card, debit card or whatever and
call the number on the card and if that person,
if it's legit, can then rout me to where I'm
supposed to be. But I don't ever return the call
back to the number.
Speaker 5 (26:26):
Yeah, that was my first thought. Yeah, I wondered why
on earth they wouldn't be calling from the number that's
on the back of the card.
Speaker 1 (26:34):
Yeah, I mean, I don't know. Maybe it's good because
they also use you know.
Speaker 2 (26:40):
But see that makes us suspicious as consumers.
Speaker 4 (26:43):
Yeah, I don't taste anything anymore.
Speaker 2 (26:45):
Spend some more time with Murphy. Yeah, your question everything
that was.
Speaker 1 (26:48):
Always the you know, one of the credit card companies
you know, actually had that in their little enclosure that said,
we're never going to call you for this. If you do,
you know, get a caller message, always call the number
back on your card. I'm like, okay, cool, so that's.
Speaker 5 (27:00):
On your card for a reason. Yeah, so is that
your plan? Yeah, my plan is going to be to
call the number on the back of the card. But
the crazy thing is the card has a different number
than the one that they told me to call back on.
Speaker 4 (27:13):
Yeah, and the voicemail. Yeah, that's strange.
Speaker 1 (27:15):
Yeah, we'll just check and touch it out and see,
you know what I mean. Or you can always call
it out and give it a chance. Not advisable, Yeah, sure,
give it away.
Speaker 4 (27:22):
Well, look, maybe this is a chance that I can
use my Venmo card.
Speaker 3 (27:24):

You can you can go, you can carry litter, yes,

And I got most of my stuff from Goodwill, honestly,

We went last year for Phoebe to a consignment store
or Google, I can't remember, just for ideas, and that's
where she found her costume. She bought a long coat.
We paid like five dollars for it. She was just
in love with the coat and she said, you know what,
I'm going to be a detective. So from there we
got a you know, magnifying glass and a really cool hat.

You can go there and get the idea.

Oh yeah, definitely, but yeah, I say, al and all.
I probably spent less than five dollars, So it was great.

And that's awesome.

You know, you don't have to do all that pinchrist
stuff like you mentioned Earl, and you can just sort
of be yourself and it's awesome. Yeah, ESP's say if
you love cats, double bonus.

do you know that I was when I was growing

I guess I didn't think about that. None of my
grandparents wore house coats, So yeah, a house coat is different.

Anyway, I went with one of my dearest friends. Her
name is Jody, also the JODI's. We went and she
fell in love with the dog in the movie. So
in the movie he has they have a dog.

No, but she's a dog person, and it was a
golden doodle, which is also her favorite kind of dog.
Here's the story, the backstory on the dog. I didn't
go looking for this, but it found me. This is
Bradley Cooper's actual dog, named Charlie after his father He
named the dog after his father after his father passed
away died of cancer. Charlie in the Bavel with lung cancer.

The dog's name is Charlie in the movie. Yeah, so
there's the backstory on the dog everybody, and he is
a lovely, lovely thing. Just want to hug him and
squeeze him. Bradley and the Dog, Yeah, I love that.
By moving on to one of your favorite people in
the world, Sam, Miss Katie Perry, Orlando Bloom's girlfriend. Yes,

they dated so seriously for like a year, and then
they broke up, remember, and they've just been nice to
each other but not together. They reunited again this year
and it looks like they may be getting married. Whoa
rumors swirling around This would be the second for both
of them. It's not official, but it's just a story
that's out there that he would love to get married again.
He was married to supermodel Miranda car They have children together. Yeah,

and then she was, of course famously married to Russell Brand.

They popped up like a week ago on one of
the movie festivals, on.

So, guys, one of the most important things you can
do on a date, if you want a second date,
if you want it to go well, is where you
paying attention?

Yes, verse, you'd be a brilliant conversation Well.

Not brilliant, right, be a good conversationalist. And this is true.
Think about your life.
Speaker 3 (35:22):
There are people you know that you get along with
amazing when you have great conversation with conversations with and
that's super attractive to you. You want somebody you can
really communicate with, you feel engaged or.
Speaker 1 (35:33):
Social beings for the most part.
Speaker 3 (35:35):
Oh number one, we're number one social beings. That's what
people crave the most is connection. So what Sam, what's
funny about that? Okay, So do you feel like you're
a good conversationalist? Can you bring that to a date?

I did when I went on that uh what was
that match dot Com date? Yes, yeah, because I did
kind of what Murphy said a while ago. I was
asked and all the questions, it's good. Instead of me, me, me,

Do careful not to do you need to do both.
It needs to be both good.

I will say this Murphy, going back, look back, you
and I have always had good conversation.

physical attractiveness, what you have in common for for dates

conversation with somebody they're going to be interested in going

pressure on, because you still have to be yourself and
guess what.

And you still got to dress nice and look nice
and smell nice.

I feel like I could talk to almost anybody in
the world, but that doesn't mean every conversation is good.
Sometimes it turns into the how's the weather? You know,
Not everybody's going to get along and jive.

I could talk to almost anybody in the world. I
think I would have trouble talking to Alicia Keys because
she's you know, that's different. And Danica Patrick another one.
You know, so you know those two.

What are the chances of either of those happening and
you being in the dating world with those ladies.

I'm just for the record, Jody, I'm not planning on dating.
Our marriage is.

of Narnia every times.

Because of all the people we know you, Murphy, are
the most likely to do that.

I would agree with that one. Totally surprised you don't

That's she's probably the one that has. Because you know,
you're right, I would be prone to buy all the outlets,
switch everything over to home animation.
