very real for all these actors because they are going

We had three at the jump and then somehow two
of them, one right off.

The bat somebody got back into a corner. I don't
know how you do that in a fish bowl, but yeah,

And then we had two for a long time yep.

And then one of those expired recently. He expired when
we were cleaning the tank, and so I think there
was sort of a there's an environmental situation. Yeah, but
the other one slowed down. But then he was back
at it.

Yeah, that's the sure sign. If your fish is just
hanging out, it's not good. No, he was just kind
of sitting there. I'm thinking, well, he's having a chill
day yet chill Yeah, and.

That's what I thought too, and I saw him going
It's like, oh, that's really really weird. Man, he's not
moving around much. And then so sure enough next day
he went up, and then we waited too long and
then he went down.

We didn't even see him float. We got home from
you know, running around with the girls is like, oh,
he's on the bottom.
Speaker 2 (12:38):
He's resting, And I forgot for three days to get
him out. So I finally I got him out of
the tank. And so now that there's the two bottom
feeders are in there, we'll figure out the tank as
clean as can be. Man, and I swear this is
there's nothing for them.

We're going to go get a new fish. And I
told Phoenie me pick somebody out and.
Speaker 2 (12:54):
I want to do something simple. So we're at a
friend's house over this past weekend and he actually has
a little pond outside that so you know, I got
on that. Yeah, and so he is he's got goldfish.
And then we're in the conversation he's like, yeah, these
are the most low maintenance fish in the world. You
can't kill him if you try, Like, well, actually you can.

Maybe he means in pond and.

We were trying to keep him alive, but you know, yeah,
maybe he means in a pond. But I immediately thought
about Jody because those fish did grow to fit their environment.
Those goldfish Jody were like a foot and a half long, yeah,
and ours never got more than two inches long.

My mom used to have a pond in the backyard too.
All fish eventually died, but I mean she had it
for years.

Do you know why they died?

I don't. Did she have an air d age, Yeah,
she had the aer rator, she had, the little she had.
Everything should go out there and throw whatever fish.

want to take care of fish. We already have bearded
dragons and dogs and a million things going on, and
I don't feel confident about taking care of fish. But
the tank is so pretty. Oh yeah, it's so pretty
with the lights and the beautiful We have one that's
more vertical horizontal, and I just love where it is. Well,
I guess now would be the time, since we only

Probably you know and if you're being official, but I'm
sure they don't care. I think we all know that
Harry's fifth in line for the throne, and this child
will be seventh in line. Not that in line means
anything either royal life that way, make it past one
or two, the deal is. I love that they finally
announced that she's twelve weeks pregnant. We know that now

according to the doctors. The royal doctor said, okay, she's
twelve weeks pregnant. But for her, now that they've announced it,
the palace officially announced it, she's yesterday she was showing
her bump off. It's tiny, yeah, but she was finally
able to take off the coats and stop covering her
belly with handbags and things like that. You had to
wait for the Queen to approve Baby Do in the Spring.

I like it. I just want Harry to be happy.
You're gonna be honest. I really just want him to
be happy for the rest of his life. Yeah, move
it on, Sam. I know you never had any love
for the cartoon Tom and Jerry. Oh, I don't understand

in talks to direct a new Tom and Jerry live

you know I always enjoyed it. Now now maybe it
was Roadrunner, but it was I guess I got it
because we had cats.

anything with the Looney Tunes characters, it's just not the
same because they don't do that classic animation.

got completely distracted, though. I told you that. Phoebe went
with me one afternoon and ran into some of her
friends there, and the girls started trying on like formal dresses,
a wedding dress too. The wedding dress was the favorite
of all the girls. All the girls put the wedding
dress on, which was so cute. They have so much
fun doing that. I'm thinking we all win. I'm finding
all kinds of great Halloween stuff, mix and match stuff,

and then Phoebe points out to me that there are
there's a whole rack of ugly Christmas sweaters. Oh, but
actually they're not ugly, they're fabulous.

Did they ever sign up that said ugly Christmas sweaters?

No, it just said it was I don't know if
it even said anything. It was just obvious, like you
could not miss the red and the green, and the
pomp poms and the sparklies and the bedazzled looks.

But they were not ugly to you.

No, they weren't ugly. They're just Christmas sir, exaggerated. They're exaggerated.
So she wanted one that was black with like tensil
or I don't know what you call it, but and
it had pomp poms on it and when she shakes
it jingles. It is so cute. I found one for
her and found one for Taylor. I found one that
I couldn't resist either. They were three dollars each. It

was such a score that I completely lost track of
supposed to be buying, like scary stuffed out. I had
Christmas stuff and like scary stuff, I need to go
over there and looked at I'm telling you, there was
only one man sweater and I.

Didn't know that won't stop seeing him now.

There was only one dude Christmas sweater and it was
a sweater vest and it was red and it had
a pug on it. It said baham pug. I know,
And I wanted it. And then Phoebe was like, Dad,
he's really not gonna want to wear that? Like, okay,

because we like to rock them, especially on Christmas Eve.

Scary movies For me, I really love scary movies. And
I can handle those hacking slash movies. Person I can
handle those all.

But the kind of movies, the kind of scary movies
that really gets me are the psychological thrillers once where
it's something that's not tangible, right, like it's it's kind
of embarrassing, but pernormal activities. The whole time I was
watching it, I was just laughing. Really it was a
silly movie, very silly, but it was after the fact,
like hours after the movie, when I was getting ready

to bed and you know things like that. That's when
of the movie it came back to home.

So it puts like a question in your head.

Yeah. Yeah, and that's I think that psychological aspect. That's
really the kind of scary movies that I really like,
and one of them that gets me.

Yeah, when your door starts moving for no reason, or
you hear that noise downstairs.

Or you know, hopefully if you don't have a pet
cat that does that thing where it just stares off
into something.

a closed door. I couldn't stand to see closed doors
down the hallway. I can't stand to see hear the music.
I can't stand even see a picture of it coming on, even.

And I hear people say, oh, that was so funny.

one side of my house where the kids rooms are,
I keep the doors closed when they're not there. Just
to keep the cats and the dog out. Sure, so
when you go over there, it's a long haul and

I do have some crazy. This is a crazy story
about Nicole Kidman talking about her marriage to Tom Cruise today.

She never does that. Almost anybody who's ever been in
a relationship with Tom Cruise never talks about it. After
there's always some big question mark, some blad starting to nobody.
Nobody wants to fill in or go there. But she
was doing this interview and it's all about all this
harassment in Hollywood that's come out now. It's like, well,

tell us about your experiences with that. And actually she
was writing in and she was like, you know, of
course I've had those experiences in Hollywood, she said, But
she married Tom Cruise at twenty two years old, and
when you're married to a powerful man like that in Hollywood,
you are protected from it. So she was still working
after meeting him on the set of Days of Thunder.
They met in nineteen ninety on Days of Thunder on

the set, and they got married that same year, and
so she's like, of course I knew it went on,
but I was definitely protected being the wife of Tom Cruise.
And then she wanted to back out of this conversation
during this interview because she said, well, her marriage is
still hard to diss. There's that big question mark again
that marriage. But because she's married to the man who's

my great love as she calls him, Gibbon, that it
feels disrespectful to talk about Tom.

meaning funny, but they deal with issues, working class perspective issues, healthcare,
drug use, the struggle to make ens meet, all of that.
Sarah Gilbert, the girl who she plays Darlene, famously one
of her scenes apparently where she's dealing with the death
of Roseanne. She said in an interview that doing that

is also dealing with saying goodbye to Roseanne in her
professional life, because it's hard for her to be on
that set without Roseanne, who created all of that.

Well, it's good to know at least they'll have Mom's
death resolved in twenty two minutes or less.

Jody was tired. She was trying to calculate the time
zone difference and that always throws her off. And I'm
sitting here laughing, and then androized, oh wait, I screwed
up something too. Our oldest daughter, Taylor was asking me.
She said, the time changes in a few weeks, Dad, right,
and I'm like, yeah, that's right, it's fall back time.
And she says, great, we get to sleep for an
extra hour. And my first reaction was, unfortunately we lose

an hour. And she's like, no, we don't. We go
backwards an hour. We're like yeah, in an hour, you're right.

And so after as long as you know, I've been
through every change of the season twice a year, I
don't know how that still screws me up? How did I?
It's it's fall I know that we fall back. That's
how I remember it.

And then I and the human I always remember fallback
means an extra hour just because of college. See college
taught me just because there was always a football game. Yeah,
it took you to college to learn that, and you
went out after the football game and it's like extra
hour to stay out, an extra hour.

So that's how I've always remembered fallback as an extra hour.

And as you get older, it becomes an extra hour

I've just heard and read things. That's what I've heard.
I'm not one hundred and ten percent saying that's what's

where she's addressing the grief and her in her character,
it ended up being like addressing the grief of saying

goodbye to working with Roseanne altogether. So the emotion you
see tonight in this whole season of the Connors is
very real for all these actors because they are going
onward without the person who created all of this for them, and.

once you've done that, it's probably it's not easy, but
it's certainly easier than getting on a bus every night

Know, I believe you know, we have now lost all
the fish, well not all of the fish. We plus
two of the goldfish from the fish tank that we've had.
And these were the Rally Fish Festival fish as well.
Fair fish, fairfish, right, the girls won them.

We had three at the jump and then somehow two
of them, one right off.
Speaker 2 (11:54):
The bat somebody got back into a corner. I don't
know how you do that in a fish bowl, but yeah,
that's what happened.

And then we had two for a long time yep.

And then one of those expired recently. He expired when
we were cleaning the tank, and so I think there
was sort of a there's an environmental situation. Yeah, but
the other one slowed down. But then he was back
at it.

Yeah, that's the sure sign. If your fish is just
hanging out, it's not good. No, he was just kind
of sitting there. I'm thinking, well, he's having a chill
day yet chill Yeah, and.
Speaker 2 (12:24):
That's what I thought too, and I saw him going
It's like, oh, that's really really weird. Man, he's not
moving around much. And then so sure enough next day
he went up, and then we waited too long and
then he went down.
Speaker 1 (12:34):
We didn't even see him float. We got home from
you know, running around with the girls is like, oh,
he's on the bottom.
Speaker 2 (12:38):
He's resting, And I forgot for three days to get
him out. So I finally I got him out of
the tank. And so now that there's the two bottom
feeders are in there, we'll figure out the tank as
clean as can be. Man, and I swear this is
there's nothing for them.
Speaker 1 (12:51):
We're going to go get a new fish. And I
told Phoenie me pick somebody out and.
Speaker 2 (12:54):
I want to do something simple. So we're at a
friend's house over this past weekend and he actually has
a little pond outside that so you know, I got
on that. Yeah, and so he is he's got goldfish.
And then we're in the conversation he's like, yeah, these
are the most low maintenance fish in the world. You
can't kill him if you try, Like, well, actually you can.

Maybe he means in pond and.
Speaker 2 (13:16):
We were trying to keep him alive, but you know, yeah,
maybe he means in a pond. But I immediately thought
about Jody because those fish did grow to fit their environment.
Those goldfish Jody were like a foot and a half long, yeah,
and ours never got more than two inches long.

My mom used to have a pond in the backyard too.
All fish eventually died, but I mean she had it
for years.

Do you know why they died?

I don't. Did she have an air d age, Yeah,
she had the aer rator, she had, the little she had.
Everything should go out there and throw whatever fish.

Food to the Truth of the matter is, I don't
want to take care of fish. We already have bearded
dragons and dogs and a million things going on, and
I don't feel confident about taking care of fish. But
the tank is so pretty. Oh yeah, it's so pretty
with the lights and the beautiful We have one that's
more vertical horizontal, and I just love where it is. Well,
I guess now would be the time, since we only

sure they don't care. I think we all know that
Harry's fifth in line for the throne, and this child
will be seventh in line. Not that in line means
anything either royal life that way, make it past one
or two, the deal is. I love that they finally
announced that she's twelve weeks pregnant. We know that now

according to the doctors. The royal doctor said, okay, she's
twelve weeks pregnant. But for her, now that they've announced it,
the palace officially announced it, she's yesterday she was showing
her bump off. It's tiny, yeah, but she was finally
able to take off the coats and stop covering her
belly with handbags and things like that. You had to
wait for the Queen to approve Baby Do in the Spring.

I like it. I just want Harry to be happy.
You're gonna be honest. I really just want him to
be happy for the rest of his life. Yeah, move
it on, Sam. I know you never had any love
for the cartoon Tom and Jerry. Oh, I don't understand

in talks to direct a new Tom and Jerry live

you know I always enjoyed it. Now now maybe it
was Roadrunner, but it was I guess I got it
because we had cats.

something gets into your system like that when you're a child,

all kinds of great Halloween stuff, mix and match stuff,

and then Phoebe points out to me that there are
there's a whole rack of ugly Christmas sweaters. Oh, but
actually they're not ugly, they're fabulous.

No, it just said it was I don't know if
it even said anything. It was just obvious, like you
could not miss the red and the green, and the

No, they weren't ugly. They're just Christmas sir, exaggerated. They're exaggerated.
So she wanted one that was black with like tensil

it jingles. It is so cute. I found one for
her and found one for Taylor. I found one that
I couldn't resist either. They were three dollars each. It

was such a score that I completely lost track of
supposed to be buying, like scary stuffed out. I had
Christmas stuff and like scary stuff, I need to go
over there and looked at I'm telling you, there was
only one man sweater and I.

There was only one dude Christmas sweater and it was

Scary movies For me, I really love scary movies. And

But the kind of movies, the kind of scary movies
that really gets me are the psychological thrillers once where
it's something that's not tangible, right, like it's it's kind
of embarrassing, but pernormal activities. The whole time I was
watching it, I was just laughing. Really it was a
silly movie, very silly, but it was after the fact,
like hours after the movie, when I was getting ready

to bed and you know things like that. That's when
of the movie it came back to home.

So it puts like a question in your head.

Yeah. Yeah, and that's I think that psychological aspect. That's
really the kind of scary movies that I really like,

a relationship with Tom Cruise never talks about it. After
there's always some big question mark, some blad starting to nobody.
Nobody wants to fill in or go there. But she
was doing this interview and it's all about all this
harassment in Hollywood that's come out now. It's like, well,

tell us about your experiences with that. And actually she
was writing in and she was like, you know, of
course I've had those experiences in Hollywood, she said, But
she married Tom Cruise at twenty two years old, and
when you're married to a powerful man like that in Hollywood,
you are protected from it. So she was still working
after meeting him on the set of Days of Thunder.
They met in nineteen ninety on Days of Thunder on

the set, and they got married that same year, and
so she's like, of course I knew it went on,
but I was definitely protected being the wife of Tom Cruise.
And then she wanted to back out of this conversation
during this interview because she said, well, her marriage is
still hard to diss. There's that big question mark again

professional life, because it's hard for her to be on

zone difference and that always throws her off. And I'm
sitting here laughing, and then androized, oh wait, I screwed
up something too. Our oldest daughter, Taylor was asking me.
She said, the time changes in a few weeks, Dad, right,
and I'm like, yeah, that's right, it's fall back time.
And she says, great, we get to sleep for an
extra hour. And my first reaction was, unfortunately we lose

an hour. And she's like, no, we don't. We go
backwards an hour. We're like yeah, in an hour, you're right.

And so after as long as you know, I've been
through every change of the season twice a year, I
don't know how that still screws me up? How did I?
It's it's fall I know that we fall back. That's
how I remember it.

means an extra hour just because of college. See college
taught me just because there was always a football game. Yeah,
it took you to college to learn that, and you
went out after the football game and it's like extra
hour to stay out, an extra hour.

So that's how I've always remembered fallback as an extra hour.

And as you get older, it becomes an extra hour

these two lead detectives who have all this chemistry.

No, but I miss them already, so so much. But
I think I know what I'm going to add. It's
already in the list of our Not So Serious Book Club.
But since it's October, I'm thinking of reading the newest
Stephen King book called The Outsider. I think I want
to read that one now.

She's Stephen King place.

Yeah, it's October and it's new, and I got to
try to find a friend who's got it already.
Speaker 4 (41:38):
Not to be confused with The Outsiders that we all
had to read in school.

No, not that one. Phoebe read that over the summer.
She liked it, but she was mad about the spoilers.
I'm like, well, Phoebe, the book is forty years old.
I'm sorry. I'm sorry somebody ruined that for you. I
can't do anything about it. So anyway, check out our

good to read. We really, when it comes to fiction,
really try to recommend stuff that we've read and love.
