state police detective. He is tasked with investigating the disappearance
of two young children and it's supposed to be his
last case.

Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson wrote this one, and it's

we watched every episode of it.

And we really fought for it. We wanted to love it.
Vince Vaughan was good. Rick Springfield was in it. He

the new season tells the story of this in the
heart of the Ozarks. Okay, really, yeah, it's gonna the
mystery is going to be It's gonna take place over
decades and it plays out in three separate time periods.

to play out like that. So look for it on
HBO and they're super proud of it. January thirteenth, Is

here's the update. Did Jewel and joy on Toto the
Blackmore goldfish that he had a bunch of He had
a bunch of spot white spots on him the other day.
So where he's like, oh he's got ick. A couple
of days in he suffered for a couple of days

where we're like.

Oh, he wasn't rubbing on anything, because usually right before
they get it, they like such thing where they rub
on some of the big rocks.
Speaker 2 (05:44):
That's what I've heard, and I googled that too, and
I'm like, well, never saw him doing that.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
He's like scratching himself.
Speaker 3 (05:49):
I'm around watching the aquarium all day.
Speaker 2 (05:51):
Right, and so but of course you know i've been
you would notice that if a fish was rubbing up again,
ye okay, But you know, I've been frustrated with the
fish thing for a while now because we have so
many animals we're trying to manage. But this turned it
for me. Now. I mean, I'm feeling sorry for the
fish because he's got ick. And then I read that
like the spots really aren't spots that come from the ick.
(06:13):
The bacteria itself. It's the fish's reaction to the whatever.
Speaker 3 (06:16):
This is their immune system working what his own is.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
Right, So now I'm really feeling bad. Okay, so we
declare our fish emergency. You know. Late in the evening,
Jody runs to the pet store and she gets too
big stuff, Yeah, the ick medicine. And we thought we
were gonna need a heater, but we found the heater
because they say, you used to raise the temperature to
eighty degrees and if you're doing the natural way of
doing it, you put salt in the tank, not table salt.
(06:39):
You have to be careful and you know, or you
do the chemical. And so we were like, okay, put
the chemical in.
Speaker 3 (06:45):
We're reluctantly doing this because we're not fish people. So
it's like, oh, but we're going to fight for his life.
So that's last night, and then this morning when I leave,
he's he's up near the filter, love it on the filter,
rubbing on the filter, and we think he's he might
be better, but you think he's dead.
Speaker 4 (07:03):
You got up a little later than me.
Speaker 2 (07:05):
Well, like Sam said, the itching thing, which I googled.
When he was up against the filter, my first thought was,
you know, maybe he's scratching himself. Yeah, to scratch, he
actually had to be moving, which he was not.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
So did he get sucked into the filter?
Speaker 2 (07:17):
I don't know because I remember, like see last night
Jody says, oh, wow, he's swimming around the heater. Maybe
he wants to get warm, optima. And then you know,
and then he was quote unquote between the heater and
the filter.
Speaker 4 (07:34):
You think he's dead. But if he's not floating.
Speaker 2 (07:37):
Now he's up getting close to the filter, and he's
as close to, you know, snuggling that filter as you can.
He's practically wrapped around it.
Speaker 1 (07:45):
Okay, why don't you unplug it and see if he falls.
Speaker 2 (07:48):
I'm just nervous about this now. I mean, I'm I
think he's I think he's done. I know you're done.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
Don't you think if he's done, we are out of
the fish filter?

Bad for this now, I'm sitting here feeling sorry for
a fish.

Yeah, and aggravated with that. It's it's we're reluctantly doing

dishes because the bird's great and all that, but side

Some traditional family recipe it's been passed down so it's
your favorite. And so that's what.

We put on our list this year, all of our favorites,

Yeah. Sam's corn souflet is there, which is really good.
That's good and easy to make. My grandmother's corn bread dressing,
which is very flavorful, and I think easy you do
you know, you make the corn bread the day before,
crumble it up, and then just make it the next
day is what we always do.

We do you put chicken in it? You don't have to,
that's optional, but we put chicken in ours.

Bourbon sweet potato casserole on here, like all of these Sam, Sam,
you have a rice dressing that you like to make rice.

Dressing, And I got my grandma's bread pudding too.

It also has a liquor sauce that goes on it.

twenty five years of right indexing keywords and stuff, and
you know Amazon has the music in the shopping and
all that. But I think we finally we finally found
a little different a difference between the two. And it
was just kind of funny the way this worked out.

The other night, we were we want we were talking
about what's the weather going to be? Like, we were
going here and there, and it's like, well, let's just
ask and it was Alexa, yeah Amazon, who gave us
a very vague answer.

Yeah. We asked the question, you know, it's the chance
of rain tomorrow? And her answer was it's going to
rain tomorrow, right.

And then we said, hey, Google, what's the chance of
rain tomorrow? We got sixty two percent chance of.

Rain, and that went on and on and on specific.

Fixt so one is vague and one is very specific.

Well, and I think that's just a matter of asking
the questions. If you answered the question or ask the

you've got pets and dogs, they are very in tune
with the rhythm of the sun rising and setting, so
they're going to want to be eating at different times

tossed it in a marinado read vinegar, sugar, mayo, salt, pepper,

and bring it Thanksgiving the next day. It is absolutely awesome.

You're probably gonna have a tough time believing this, but
it actually is not one of my favorite Thanksgiving dishes.
And there are people that do it very well. It's
just not my thing. Is a texture of the flavor,
I don't know, it's just not I mean, it's it's
not that it's bad. It's just not one of those
that I rush crunching top. I've had it that way.

Yeah, I think I wind up and for whatever reason,

more than once. I think since he was fifteen years old.
He's been battling this, so they certainly have this in common.
And you know, I guess the official statement to the
entertainment rags is they're just friends. But when they're out,
I'm telling you, they are holding hands. It is very
smiling and all that good stuff. And of course recovery
experts say, hey, wait a year before you have this relationship.

Yeah, I know, that's one of the things. It's like,

Well, you know what, guess what her mom has to say,
because it doesn't matter what the rest of the world

choosing more appropriate friends, and they're all happy about that. Yeah,
it looks like she's still working it because they were
seen together again yesterday having coffee, all smiles and lovey
and then headed to an AA meeting. Okay, so excited

for Demi Levado for that. I'm hoping she'll record music
again soon too. Like getting to work to me, best
medicine for almost anything. If you love what you do,

Okay. So he had some horrible Harley crash in July
and Italy. Did you know about that where he flew

motorcycle and that happens at like sixty miles an hour,
which is what this wreck reportedly was, he's lucky to
be alive.

the craziness.

mystery is going to be It's gonna take place over
decades and it plays out in three separate time periods.

Blackmore goldfish that he had a bunch of He had
a bunch of spot white spots on him the other day.
So where he's like, oh he's got ick. A couple
of days in he suffered for a couple of days

where we're like.

Oh, he wasn't rubbing on anything, because usually right before
they get it, they like such thing where they rub
on some of the big rocks.
Speaker 2 (05:44):
That's what I've heard, and I googled that too, and
I'm like, well, never saw him doing that.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
He's like scratching himself.
Speaker 3 (05:49):
I'm around watching the aquarium all day.
Speaker 2 (05:51):
Right, and so but of course you know i've been
you would notice that if a fish was rubbing up again,
ye okay, But you know, I've been frustrated with the
fish thing for a while now because we have so
many animals we're trying to manage. But this turned it
for me. Now. I mean, I'm feeling sorry for the
fish because he's got ick. And then I read that
like the spots really aren't spots that come from the ick.

The bacteria itself. It's the fish's reaction to the whatever.
Speaker 3 (06:16):
This is their immune system working what his own is.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
Right, So now I'm really feeling bad. Okay, so we
declare our fish emergency. You know. Late in the evening,
Jody runs to the pet store and she gets too
big stuff, Yeah, the ick medicine. And we thought we
were gonna need a heater, but we found the heater
because they say, you used to raise the temperature to
eighty degrees and if you're doing the natural way of
doing it, you put salt in the tank, not table salt.
(06:39):
You have to be careful and you know, or you
do the chemical. And so we were like, okay, put
the chemical in.
Speaker 3 (06:45):
We're reluctantly doing this because we're not fish people. So
it's like, oh, but we're going to fight for his life.
So that's last night, and then this morning when I leave,
he's he's up near the filter, love it on the filter,
rubbing on the filter, and we think he's he might
be better, but you think he's dead.
Speaker 4 (07:03):
You got up a little later than me.
Speaker 2 (07:05):
Well, like Sam said, the itching thing, which I googled.
When he was up against the filter, my first thought was,
you know, maybe he's scratching himself. Yeah, to scratch, he
actually had to be moving, which he was not.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
So did he get sucked into the filter?
Speaker 2 (07:17):
I don't know because I remember, like see last night
Jody says, oh, wow, he's swimming around the heater. Maybe
he wants to get warm, optima. And then you know,
and then he was quote unquote between the heater and
the filter.
Speaker 4 (07:34):
You think he's dead. But if he's not floating.
Speaker 2 (07:37):
Now he's up getting close to the filter, and he's
as close to, you know, snuggling that filter as you can.
He's practically wrapped around it.
Speaker 1 (07:45):
Okay, why don't you unplug it and see if he falls.
Speaker 2 (07:48):
I'm just nervous about this now. I mean, I'm I
think he's I think he's done. I know you're done.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
Don't you think if he's done, we are out of
the fish filter?

That's good and easy to make. My grandmother's corn bread dressing,
which is very flavorful, and I think easy you do

day is what we always do.

We do you put chicken in it? You don't have to,

you have a rice dressing that you like to make rice.

not popular today, but my grandmother would put out a

about what's the weather going to be? Like, we were
going here and there, and it's like, well, let's just

a very vague answer.

of rain tomorrow? And her answer was it's going to
rain tomorrow, right.

Well, and I think that's just a matter of asking

myself because not only did we gain the extra hour
of sleep, I slept another hour. So yeah, I mean I.

Feel great good, they say, though I'm not. I'm not

body might be going Okay.

I guess for me, how am I actually going to know?
The difference rhythm focus is always an issue, you know,
time change.

It's so true with different depending on the person, your
sleep can suffer. It can take up to a week
to adapt to the change of when your body. You know,
if you've got little ones, you know, toddlers, and if
you've got pets and dogs, they are very in tune
with the rhythm of the sun rising and setting, so
they're going to want to be eating at different times

until you break them in this.

Do you see the memes this weekend parents and pets.
It's like, oh, this is the weekend we get to
sleep an extra hour unless you're a parent of toddler.

Yeah you have pets, Yeah, all true. It's Sunday morning.
Both two of our dogs were right up an hour
earlier than normal. Yeah, that's what you're saying, Meg.

I trust their rhythm completely, but and the fewer daylight hours,
it's just harder you go into hibernation mode. It's in
certain people who I don't know if you have if
you have a tendency to get gloomy or well that
you get gloomier.

to talk about.

What is it?

Go ahead? It is broccoli salad salad guy, but it's broccoli, cheese, bacon,
reinforcements everything better and purple or red onion. And you
tossed it in a marinado read vinegar, sugar, mayo, salt, pepper,
and you mix it all together, let it fit the fridge,

and bring it Thanksgiving the next day. It is absolutely awesome.

Yes, sir, Virginia, I made it last year. Oh yes,
it is the bomb.

It's so good and I don't feel so guilty.

Oh yeah, because this guy brought me in it. Yeah,
you got all the major food group certainly a wonderful
staple in my family for many years, and not just Thanksgiving.
We make it for all kinds of events, but it's
definitely one of those things that people are like, who
did not bring the broccoli?

Oh my gosh, he is always man catch. This was

you know's something to be said for that a very
simple recipe. Sometimes that's the best, right kind of you
kind of have to have sweet patao? Do you always
have to have sweet potato?

I prefer it me too, but.

I'm picky about it. I do want the crunch on top,
and I want.

Yeah, I kind of marshmallows.

You know, you have the kind that's like the whole
sweet potatoes, are the pieces of sweet potatoes, and then
you have the kind where somebody just like ends it
all up, so it's kind of like a pure Yeah.
I like the pure version. Yeah, with the nuts on
top and some marshmallows.
Speaker 2 (28:06):
You're probably gonna have a tough time believing this, but
it actually is not one of my favorite Thanksgiving dishes.
And there are people that do it very well. It's
just not my thing. Is a texture of the flavor,
I don't know, it's just not I mean, it's it's
not that it's bad. It's just not one of those
that I rush crunching top. I've had it that way.
Speaker 4 (28:22):
It tastes like dessert almost.
Speaker 2 (28:24):
Yeah, I think I wind up and for whatever reason,
more of a savory place for Thanksgiving. Maybe that's what
it is, you know, So give me an extra helping
of green bean cast.

Role or broccoli and cheese casserole. Yeah, another big one. Okay,

Demi Lovato from Less told you that over the weekend
she was spotted out of rehab, which we didn't expect.

So she's out for good.

Then apparently she's out, but she's still working her program
because she's also been spotted going to a meetings. But
she was having a dinner date, like eating sushi with
Henry Levy, this guy, and everybody's trying to pinpoint who
he is. He's a fashion designer. They've known each other
for years because they knew each other from before when
she was in treatment. He's been in treatment too, oh

more than once. I think since he was fifteen years old.
He's been battling this, so they certainly have this in common.
And you know, I guess the official statement to the
entertainment rags is they're just friends. But when they're out,
I'm telling you, they are holding hands. It is very
smiling and all that good stuff. And of course recovery
experts say, hey, wait a year before you have this relationship.

Yeah, I know, that's one of the things. It's like,
hang on, this is not the place agin.
Speaker 3 (30:08):
Well, you know what, guess what her mom has to say,
because it doesn't matter what the rest of the world
thinks or what experts say. Is she you know, it's
her life, it's her business. Her mom says, hey, she's
choosing more appropriate friends, and they're all happy about that. Yeah,
it looks like she's still working it because they were
seen together again yesterday having coffee, all smiles and lovey
and then headed to an AA meeting. Okay, so excited

for Demi Levado for that. I'm hoping she'll record music
again soon too. Like getting to work to me, best
medicine for almost anything. If you love what you do,
you know what I mean?

All right, Moving on to George Clooney, do you realize
that he had well I guess he has anything he wants.
But yes, he loves Harley Davidson motorcycles and he has
a few albums and that last did not know that, okay.

I mean, I know there was the tequila, and I
knew there was everything else.
Speaker 3 (30:59):
Okay. So he had some horrible Harley crash in July
and Italy. Did you know about that where he flew
twenty feet in the air after crashing into like a
Mercedes binz And I mean, honestly, if you're on a
motorcycle and that happens at like sixty miles an hour,
which is what this wreck reportedly was, he's lucky to
be alive.

A mall has been all over him about Look, I
love you, you can do anything you want, obviously, be happy,
but please stay off the hogs. And so he's auctioning
one of his favorite bikes to Holmes for Troops. It's
a nonprofit that builds and donates homes for injured nine
to eleven veterans, and his motorcycle, his hog is one

of the highest you know, items, highest fetching items in
the whole thing coming up in your next Hollywood Outside
of this morning, around eight thirty, Jimmy Fallon announces for

you know, place match and all that kind of stuff
that you want walk your house.

Well, yeah, whatever today, going to drop one of these
like do ahead things on you every day this week

You don't have to cook everything, though, know that you
assign certain things like dressing from your sister, yeah, and
sweet potato casor roll from Sam or whatever whoever's coming over,
and but whatever you have to cook, go ahead and
shop for. Stock up on the flour and the sugar
and stuff like that. You know, you don't want to
be a day before Thanksgiving trying to go buy eggs,
Oh sugar.

Because this has happened to me in the past. Stock
up on saran wrap and foil, so true that and
run out and it's like, oh, we can't cover these dishes.
Somebody make a run.

And I think joding New is my favorite too. Plenty
of storage bags after ziplock or whatever, because that's you know,
that's the easiest.
Speaker 3 (33:25):
Ye gather your recipes and have them together, and you
know this is what you're going to be making in
a few you know, we a couple of weeks. It's
going to be a couple of weeks before you know it,
and it's gonna be ready. And start shopping and stock
up on that stuff, even non food items, toilet paper,
candles or whatever. You want to stock up now before
the craziness.

Number two iTunes. Really I know number one. I don't
understand this. I didn't know this existed. Disney gift cards

You know, you can buy them on discount and their
their resell value is jacked up. People just want you
to go, like shop at the Disney store to use
it in the park, think any and all. If it's Disney,

it fits in that world. Like you'd probably even use
it for, you know, a Disney movie. I don't know
for sure.

nothing open give. It was a long night, wasn't it.

And I don't even think you get paid for it,
because how are you going to log down on a
time sheet?

Well do you have to get paid for that? But
you got to be away? Right? Can you put down
one o'clock twice?

Yeah, I guess they just they probably commentate us saying, look,
if you worked till what woul be six? You put
till seven or something like that. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah,
that's how it would work. I guess that's how it
