Speaker 1 (00:03):
And Jody.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
I kept thinking about you all day the Cyber Monday yesterday, noting.

Speaker 1 (00:08):
About online, did Joe because.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
In the in the screen, Sam as I looked at
it every time, it was a pop up for the
instant pot, which is interesting because we already have one,
and that's what we bought last year during Cyber Monday.
And it was the same price this year. Just so
you know, they did drop it by like whatever, thirty
or forty bucks.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
It was the same or it was yeah, it was,
it was the same.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
But the reason I was thinking about you is because
it's funny to me how you really you don't want
to take the time to learn how to use it
something that cooks faster, Jody, you know, because you do
it differently. Sam. You know that's a pressure cooker. Not
everything's cooked the same way. And so Jody does one
thing in our instants Not true.

Speaker 3 (00:48):
I made chicken little soup for you.

Speaker 4 (00:50):
I'm a beef stew for you, but what we most
often do is eggs.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
Yeah, that still blows me away.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
We say twenty seventeen were the beef stews and all
that twenty age has been the year of boiled it.

Speaker 4 (01:01):
You know, I'm not the only person in the house
that could use the instant pot. You can use the
instant pot too, Murphy, Yeah, totally could, totally cood.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
I just but I just think it's funny. I mean,
you really do have a reason that it's not. You know,
you don't want to slow down as a busy mom.
You don't want to slow down to learn the difference.
You don't have to throw something in a slow cooker.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
It's just workday.

Speaker 4 (01:19):
Do you want to learn something new or do you
want to just make something you've made one hundred times before.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
That's me. By the way, Jody, that that attitude right
there may have ruined my mom's Christmas present for me
this year. I'll tell you about it coming up in
a few minutes.

Speaker 4 (01:31):
Oh no, you can change. You don't have to have
my attitude with this, But I will tell you this.
We had one of the best things we ever had
in the instant pot over Thanksgiving at my cousin Crystal's house.
And that's a ham. She did a ham in the
instant pot. We shared a little video of it as
you see it.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
Yeah, Oh my gosh, blew me away. You could do
a ham in there.

Speaker 4 (01:48):
It was delicious, So we had a lot of questions
about it on the Facebook page. So Crystal, my cousin,
who is the Instant Pot Queen, will be joining us
this morning for a complete explanation of how to do it.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
Okay that she is the instant pot Queen. It was
chicken that they were preparing for one of the Jody's
grandmother's corn bread dressing. Fifteen minutes is all that to
it frozen the kerots for the carrots who flay took
what seven minutes.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
Or something and they were completely soft.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
Did you brag to them that, yeah, well you know
we hardwool eggs. No, she knows all of my.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
They were the one that taught us.

Speaker 4 (02:22):
That's why anyway, for you and for all of us,
And that was the best Ham I had had forever.
Don't let Mama here hear me say that. But she's
gonna explain that coming up. Okay, And you know what
I'll do Ham next time. You want it to get
in the instant pot.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
Murphy Happy now coming up with Murphy's Sam Joy.

Speaker 4 (02:39):
First Hollywood Outsider of the Morning, Nicole Kidman explains why
there probably will not be a season three of Big
Little Lies. Judy's Hollywood Outsidernicle Kidman says there may not
be a Big Little Lies Season three.

Speaker 5 (02:57):
We have this sturdy secret.

Speaker 4 (03:00):
So this new one that's coming out in twenty nineteen,
Big Little Live Season two might be it. Not because
they wouldn't love to work together longer and more, and
not that there's not a lot of good story there.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
I'm ready for this. I'm ready for season two.

Speaker 4 (03:13):
But because it's so star sudded, it's Reese Witherspoon, it
is Nicole Kidman, Shalene Woodley, Laura Dern, Meryl.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
Streep joining this time, I forgot.

Speaker 4 (03:24):
It's too hard to get those people together. Those people
have their pick of projects and they want to move
on to something else. And so this new coming season
on HBO and Art it should be early next year,
should be the last one.

Speaker 1 (03:38):
Well, this season is going to be because it wasn't
the first season based on a book. Yeah, so this
season's kind.

Speaker 4 (03:43):
Of but it's based on the person who wrote the book.
Also help them pin this season two, so know that,
know that going forward. Also, we haven't talked about this
yet and oh my goodness, I think I've watched it
five or six times. If you saw over the holiday
weekend that we got the live action and John Favreau
Lion King teaser trailer.

Speaker 5 (04:03):
Everything that touches it's all Kingdom.

Speaker 4 (04:10):
James Earl Jones voice right there. Yeah, crazy beautiful. It
looks seen for seeing like the cartanks.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
Are like waiting for something different, and it's like, where's
the rock? Okay, everybody bows, but I don't want different.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
Yeah, you want that familiarity. The only thing I think
would be better than the preview itself would it be
to scene on a bigger screen. I saw it on
Jody's phone. Yeah that's very small.

Speaker 4 (04:32):
Like panting, like, oh my gosh. This movie means so
much to me. It was a cultural cultural phenomenon. You
know that people who don't have never even seen the
animated know how big of a deal it is, you know.

Speaker 5 (04:44):
What I mean.

Speaker 3 (04:45):
And it looks so fantastic.

Speaker 4 (04:47):
The teaser trailer broke a record for the most views
in a day for any teaser trailer ever, didner one?
Because everybody, yes, two hundred and twenty five million views
around the world. Who in the first twenty four hours
You think everybody's ready for that?

Speaker 1 (05:00):
I was one of them.

Speaker 4 (05:01):
I'm telling you if you haven't seen it and you
want a little heart beaten a little faster, go check
it out today.

Speaker 6 (05:06):
Up today with Judy's Hollywood outside her.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
Still got how many days to go? Like thirty days
till Christmas? Less than that? Yeah, well, I've already I
think ruined my mom's Christmas plans for me. Good Sammy,
I waste no time.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
And because it is the most wonderful time of the year,
you know, we started our gift today every day yesterday,
So we're going to for you, Murphy, Sam and Jody
dot Com. I cannot wait. I get it's my turn today.

Speaker 4 (05:31):
Well, a really good gift for any dude. This is
something that Murphy loves and so definitely putting it up there.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
Well, speaking of gifts, I think my mom kind of
told me what she was getting me for Christmas this year.
She went up and visited for Thanksgiving.

Speaker 2 (05:46):
Why would she do what?

Speaker 6 (05:47):
What?

Speaker 1 (05:48):
I don't know? Really, she starts, she asked me first,
I mean she got there and I'm getting things, you know,
finished up cooking, and she says, do you ever get
you one of those pressure cookers?

Speaker 4 (05:57):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (05:57):
I was like, you mean instant pot? Yeah? I said no,
I never got an instant pot. And then I went
on to explain the long drawn out story of how
you guys, Murphy and Jody had bought one and ye yeah,
cooked it in it for a while, and you pretty
much stored it away.

Speaker 4 (06:12):
That's because of me. It's a great thing to have
in a kitchen. That's just me getting his own way.

Speaker 1 (06:17):
Well, after about five minutes of you know, expounding on
the nah, I just figured I didn't need it because
you know, there's no reason. Oh well, that's that's what
I got you for Christmas this year.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
Oh no, So then what do you say? What did
you say?

Speaker 1 (06:31):
I said, Well, that was just Jody. How did you
recover Sam? I didn't. I just was like, okay, I, no,
you need.

Speaker 3 (06:39):
To call her back and tell her you're actually are
excited about it.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
Hey, at least she heard that.

Speaker 3 (06:44):
Because knowing you, you will think it's amazing.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
At least you didn't say pressure cookers. That's a waste
of time. I didn't take it that far.

Speaker 1 (06:53):
No, I didn't. You need to call her back.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
I'm surprised that she would say that. At least, it's
interesting because you didn't know that was coming, and she's
she could she would have just been Yeah, kind of like,
you know, kind of an interest because I went all out.

Speaker 4 (07:10):
There and I'm a mother. I promise you that broke
her heart. You need to call her this week and
tell her that you actually do want it. Sam, we're
gonna coming up tell you how to do a ham
in the instant pot in fifteen minutes.

Speaker 1 (07:23):
And I'm actually, yeah, I probably will use it. I'm
just telling I'll just repeat it what Jody says about it.
And you know how Jody is, So.

Speaker 3 (07:32):
Tell miss Judy to call me. I'll work it out
with her.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
Yeah, with any luck, she hasn't sent it back already.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
Now she'll give it to me anyway. But then it'll
come with a little You can just shove it under
your cabin and if you want, you don't have to
use it. Mary Christmas.

Speaker 3 (07:44):
Yeah, coming up with Murphy, Sam and Jody.

Speaker 2 (07:48):
All right, so is promised gift our second idea for
a gift today, which we do all the way down
through the holiday season.

Speaker 3 (07:54):
Yeah, you're up, Murphy, something that any dude would love.

Speaker 2 (07:57):
Next, come hang out with us after the show today.
Another episode in the Murphy Salm and Jody After the
Show podcast. It's absolutely free and you get a brand
new episode every single day.

Speaker 7 (08:11):
Gift ideas for gifts from one to ninety two. It's
a gift today at Murphysamon Jody dot com.

Speaker 4 (08:18):
All right, today's gift straight from Murphy's man cave, and
not actually the cave, more like your shed, your tool area.
Here's the deal, you know, and you know this, Sam,
you probably do the same thing. When Murphy goes to
the home improvement store, he always comes home with something.
Oh wow, no, Jody, I bought this. We can use
this a million ways. Isn't it cool that it exists?
And so but this thing he really does use a lot.

(08:41):
And that's your new pressure washer.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
Well it's an electric one, and Jody is the first
question Jody asked when I got it was don't you
have one already? And then I want to explain with that,
Yes I do, but it's gas powered, and I got
to go to the shed and I've got to drag
it out, and you know, I mean to me and
I love that pressure washer, but that's one of those
where that's for the heavy duties stuff. It's just too
much of a pain in the behind to drag it out.
So when there was one that I saw on sale

(09:05):
and I went ahead and got it, and I love it.
In fact, yeah I have. It's so easy to pull
out and use, and it's.

Speaker 1 (09:12):
Got a handle and everything it rolls around.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
Yeah, exactly, it's it couldn't be easier to move around.

Speaker 4 (09:17):
Like you've cleaned the dog area, the car port, your car,
the basketball goal, anything that would stand still outside.

Speaker 1 (09:24):
He is clean.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
For clarity, though, I did not clean the dogs with it,
only the dog area to clarify that.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
But I'm gonna set this on dogs are outside is sparkling.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
Yeah, so you know there there are a handful of
different kinds that you can get. You know, I stopped
worrying about the p s I you know, the pounce
per square inch and all that kind of stuff. Pressure
what it is, Yeah, you know, it's just like as
long as it cleans and doesn't rip paint off of things,
I'll be fine.

Speaker 1 (09:55):
Okay. When I bought mine, Murphy, I thought of you
reading the PSIS, I'm thinking, well with Murphy get here.

Speaker 2 (10:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (10:01):
Yeah, they're all about the same unless you really want
to blow pain off.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
Yeah, and I'm looking at eighteen hundred or two thousand,
Well maybe I really should go for this for the
better one. Yeah, you realized it's only two hundred, you know,
a difference, and the price is fifty bucks less. Let
me go with the lesser.

Speaker 1 (10:15):
Nice.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
Anyway, We've got a couple of suggestions for you. It
really is a good dad's gift. If he's still going
to get out and clean things.

Speaker 4 (10:22):
I think it is too now, don't get it. If
you want him to clean things, he doesn't.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
Want, right, if he's not a handy kind of person.
He made.

Speaker 1 (10:27):
Don't you love using it?

Speaker 2 (10:28):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (10:29):
I swear you do, so check it out.

Speaker 4 (10:31):
Those links A gift to day at Murphysaman Jody dot com.

Speaker 6 (10:35):
Coming up next with Murphy Sam and Jody.

Speaker 4 (10:38):
How to do a Ham in the instant pot in
fifteen minutes and guess what it was the best ham
we ever had at Thanksgiving.

Speaker 3 (10:46):
How to do a Ham in the instant pot.

Speaker 4 (10:47):
We promised you this because we had this at my
cousin Crystal's house for Thanksgiving and.

Speaker 2 (10:51):
Wow, it was good, as cousin Eddie.

Speaker 3 (10:55):
Would say, Sadie Crystal, Hey, hey, thank you for agree
to visit with us this morning on this.

Speaker 8 (11:02):
No problem.

Speaker 4 (11:02):
Okay, so you told me you were doing the ham
in the instant pot and I was like, oh wow,
and I knew I had to watch. So you just
buy spiral cut ham, right, take me through it.

Speaker 8 (11:12):
Yeah, So it's a bone in spiral cut ham. The
recipe says around eight pounds or so, or as it
was like eleven, so we kind of had to shove
it in there a little bit.

Speaker 2 (11:22):
Yeah, that was That was to me. Part of the
entertainment was watching you stick that thing in there.

Speaker 8 (11:27):
Okay, Luckily we were determined, so we got it in there.

Speaker 1 (11:31):
So do you put water in it? I think you did.

Speaker 8 (11:33):
Yes, you put like one and a half cups of
water in the bottom. I mean you have to use
like the steamer tray, like the little insert got it,
you know, with the handles, or you can just use
your steamer basket whatever you have. Yeah, and you just
put it in there. You started fifteen minutes and you
quick release it.

Speaker 4 (11:49):
Yeah, so it takes about fifteen minutes to come up
to pressure. Then you you get pressure cooking for fifteen
and then I remember the look whenever you quick released it.
Oh my gosh, it smells so so happy in the house.

Speaker 8 (12:01):
Yes, it smelled delicious.

Speaker 1 (12:03):
Good. My quick release instead of letting it go slowly.

Speaker 8 (12:06):
Probably because it's already cooked. Yeah, a lot of uncooked me.
You do a slow relief so that it doesn't get dry.
Yeah it wasn't dry, but it wasn't at all. But
it was, you know, it was really well. And then
after that you take it out. Then you put the
glaze on. You don't put anything on it beforehand, put
the glaze on after, and then you put it on
a broiler just for like a minute or so until

(12:26):
it caramelizes. It'll do that quickly, so you have to
watch it closely. Yeah, it was just like a minute
or so and it was out and that was it. It
was done.

Speaker 1 (12:33):
Oh my god, it was so delicious.

Speaker 4 (12:35):
I thought you put it in the regular oven for ten,
but you're saying broiler for one. After that, it was
really one of the best I've ever had. Don't tell
my mom, okay, because she makes ham in the in
the oven.

Speaker 2 (12:45):
Yeah, it was so good. I mean I enjoyed it
for Thankshiving dinner. I had it for breakfast, I had
it for lunch the next day. I think I had
one more breakfast out of it. It was good.

Speaker 8 (12:55):
Well, it was big, so you know, we had plenty
the meals out of it. But yeah, it was good
and it was so easy.

Speaker 3 (12:59):
Yeah, you are the instant Pot Queen.

Speaker 4 (13:00):
And Sam, his mom already told him that she's giving
him an instant pot for Christmas.

Speaker 1 (13:05):
Yes, so I got to accumulate a few recipes here.

Speaker 8 (13:07):
Oh excellent.

Speaker 2 (13:08):
Wait to spoil the surprise though. I don't know why
she told him, but she did.

Speaker 1 (13:13):
Ready, you're ready, all right? Thank you? We miss you already.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
Yeah, miss you too, miss you and the food and
maybe equally I'm just kidding.

Speaker 4 (13:23):
Okay, check out this recipe Queen Crystal Instant Pot approved
Okay at Murphysaman Jodi dot com. Thank you, bik Coming
out Hollywood, we'll let you know who's getting married in
a red dress this week.

Speaker 6 (13:41):
Jody's Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 3 (13:43):
Nick Jonas and Prianca Chopra flew to India for Thanksgiving
dinner and have stayed and brought about two dozen dinner
guests with them, so by the end of the week
they're going to be husband and wife. It's a whole
week of celebrations and they're doing this at a palace,

(14:07):
literally a palace. They're going to have a blend of
Hindu and Christian tradition ceremonies for the next five days,
They've got all these lavish parties, which is all you know,
all the way part of the Indian tradition for weddings. Yeah,
and so they have a couple of Hindu events and
then they've got like a temporary tattoo celebration that they do.

(14:29):
They all have ai yes, and then on Sunday, December second,
they're going to be married and they'll exchange vowels.

Speaker 1 (14:36):
Didn't she wear your red dress to this?

Speaker 4 (14:39):
He's wearing white and some of the other wedding parties
wearing white, but she's wearing red again.

Speaker 1 (14:44):
Yeah, right, and that's crazy cool.

Speaker 4 (14:47):
I wonder how much of it they'll share, you know,
because they're both very high profile meeting, I mean share
with the public.

Speaker 1 (14:52):
Because it also seems very.

Speaker 4 (14:55):
Serious, like they she's taking she's taking this very serious
to do.

Speaker 3 (15:00):
It that way part of her culture.

Speaker 4 (15:04):
So how much do you come back and share that
with America, like on the cover of People magazine.

Speaker 1 (15:08):
I just kind of.

Speaker 3 (15:09):
Wonder, I kind of wonder Megan is going to be there, Megan,
there's no word yet, but they are friends. Prianca was
at her wedding, which is a very, very big deal.

Speaker 1 (15:20):
It's a little different though.

Speaker 4 (15:22):
By the way, Nick Jonas and Prianca started dating right
about that time when Harry and Meghan got together. That's
that they have That's how long they've known each other.
This thing has moved really quickly. So their wedding is
this weekend. Moving on, Jason Momoa, the star of Aquaman,
got the news.

Speaker 2 (15:40):
Vocal gaming my first Swiman lessons.

Speaker 3 (15:42):
I already know how to swim.

Speaker 1 (15:45):
Okay, So he's gonna host.

Speaker 4 (15:46):
I'm excited about this SNL eighth, So a couple of
weekends away with musical guests Mumford and Sons.

Speaker 1 (15:52):
How do you like that?

Speaker 5 (15:53):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (15:53):
Are you hoping he does a Game of Thrones?

Speaker 4 (15:55):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (15:55):
Are you kidding me?

Speaker 4 (15:57):
That's all I want is him from Game of Throw
Then we can throw some Aquaman stuff in. They're gonna
have fun with him, and then Matt Damon is going
to host on December fifteenth, with Mark Ronson and Miley
Cyrus performing. So some big stuff this month, well December.

Speaker 1 (16:11):
I know Mark Ronson is producing Miley's current album, so
maybe that's.

Speaker 3 (16:15):
It'll be another song that she debuts that night.

Speaker 4 (16:18):
You are exactly right about that coming up in your
next Hollywood outside of this morning around seven fifty five.
Oh that Lion King teaser trailer.

Speaker 6 (16:26):
Murphy, Sam and Jody, you are Hollywood insider.

Speaker 4 (16:32):
Kids, You can email Santa now. He is there at
Murphy Sam and Jody dot well, he doesn't live there,
but Murphy Samonjody dot com. We have a direct line
to him. We have a good relationship with Santa all
these years. Despite Sam making him feel unomfortable sometimes.

Speaker 3 (16:47):
He said, he actually does is nice.

Speaker 4 (16:50):
He has a lot of fun when we get to
visit with him every December. So you can email him, kids,
Go to Murphy Salmon Jody dot com. Just look for
his face there and you can email him. Send him
you know, a couple of little things that you'd like, but
also send him your love and your thanks.

Speaker 1 (17:07):
And you can send questions. Yeah, ask questions especially I think, yeah,
like I.

Speaker 2 (17:11):
Love those because I mean, not only would he answer
an email, but you know later in the holiday season
we'll have saying it here, which is awesome.

Speaker 4 (17:18):
Yeah, and he likes to answer those, Like specifically, if
you want to leave him something different this year instead
of just typical milk and cookies, ask and he'll let.

Speaker 3 (17:26):
You know what he likes. He's pretty agreeable to anything. Yeah,
you know, he really is.

Speaker 1 (17:30):
Then we ask him if he likes beer. One year,
you did, I think he did.

Speaker 2 (17:34):
But that's the kind of thing Sam would ask you.

Speaker 3 (17:36):
What you do?

Speaker 1 (17:37):
I still got gifts that year, so that a good question, say,
I think. He says he drinks whatever. Yeah, he'll drink
anything left for him.

Speaker 4 (17:46):
And he also says that the day after he missed,
missus Claws is waiting for him and he puts his
feet up and she gives him spaw like treatments and
stuff like that, peppermint foot scrubs and stuff like that
for real kids.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
So see, I would want to eat a peppermint foot scrub.
You can't do that. So it's the problem.

Speaker 1 (18:05):
With that mental oil that you just enjoy the scent
of murph.

Speaker 2 (18:09):
I know, I understand that. It's just sort of like
when I wash my hair with that peppermint candy shampoo
and I want a mint after.

Speaker 4 (18:16):
I just do have a mint after, but don't eat
the shampoo. No, no, no, you know I have a
peppermint lip scrub and it's in our shower, little.

Speaker 1 (18:25):
Thing lip scrub.

Speaker 2 (18:26):
Yeah, scruffy lips.

Speaker 1 (18:27):
And get them smooth whenever they get chappy. Really yeah,
they made lip scrubs.

Speaker 4 (18:34):
They're amazing. They'll change your life. What Yeah, and my
peppermint one feels really minty and happy.

Speaker 2 (18:40):
Funny. I thought that was an ear cleaner. Just kidding.
I didn't know it was.

Speaker 1 (18:45):
At least you just stuck to the ear at the bottom.

Speaker 3 (18:48):
Oh my gosh, you don't want everything a table.

Speaker 2 (18:53):
So it is time e Santa. As we were saying
to Murphy, Salmon Jody dot com empty fresh.

Speaker 3 (18:58):
Coming up with Murphy's Salmon Joe jump in anytime. You know,
we love to hear from you all through this time
of the year.

Speaker 4 (19:03):
Your favorite Christmas movies are welcome, and Lisa wants to
let us know about her family's favorite game to play
together Your next from eight seven to seven three one
zero for MSJ.

Speaker 2 (19:16):
In case you missed it, Sam's mom already revealed to
Sam what he's getting for Christmas based on on one
of those, He's probably not going to get the gifts.

Speaker 1 (19:25):
Ye, Merry Christmas to me.

Speaker 2 (19:27):
Catch out at anything that you miss on the Murphy,
Sam and Jody Podcast is an easy way to catch
up with anything here on the show and you can
enjoy after the show, which we'll do later today.

Speaker 4 (19:37):
We posted some of our first ideas for gift today
at Murphy Samonjody dot com and with that, we're a
bunch of game ideas, you know, because family games I
think are good to give and hopefully families enjoy and
create memories.

Speaker 1 (19:50):
You get it.

Speaker 4 (19:51):
So eight seven seven three one zero four ms Jay
to jump in. What's going on, Lisa.

Speaker 9 (19:57):
I just wanted to let you know my daughter brought
home that Illustrations game from a family trip with her boyfriend.

Speaker 8 (20:02):
Oh yeah, and we do actually have.

Speaker 9 (20:04):
Like a bigger package. It's for like up to twelve
or twenties later, So we just thought we haven't played
it yet, but we just bought it for Christmas.

Speaker 4 (20:11):
Okay, we're going to add that then to our gift
today because the one we have is the basic What
is it for?

Speaker 3 (20:17):
Four six packs? Yeah, you need twelve six.

Speaker 9 (20:20):
People, right, so it's I think it's either twelve or twenty.
And the way they explain it to me is it's
like the telephone game. Yeah, you draw it and it
is hilarious.

Speaker 4 (20:28):
I know when we play the girls, our girls love
to make fun of the way Murphy draws. Yes, okay,
it's some of them you want to keep. We take
pictures of them before rasing them because you want.

Speaker 1 (20:39):
To keep them forever.

Speaker 10 (20:40):
We definitely did too.

Speaker 9 (20:41):
I have Instagram pictures of like the horrible drawings.

Speaker 4 (20:45):
Awesome, Lisa, thank you for that. We're going to add
the big, bigger addition to the gift today.

Speaker 10 (20:50):
Thank you so much.

Speaker 1 (20:51):
You guys have a great Christmas, you too, thanks seppreciating.

Speaker 2 (20:53):
Yeah, yeah, thanks Lisa. I am so exciting now because
that means we can play with the whole family, Jody
if we get that version so much.

Speaker 1 (21:00):
It's funny, it's really do rely.

Speaker 4 (21:03):
Yeah, it sounds silly, but once you play, it's hysterical
and it's really almost all ages.

Speaker 3 (21:08):
If you can draw, you know you can play.

Speaker 2 (21:10):
This is the game that even people who don't like
to play games will love to play because once you
once you get into it. Yeah, once you're into it,
you know, it's it's fun. Who doesn't like to try
to draw?

Speaker 3 (21:21):
Your dad loves it when we play at the beach.
Dane loves it too.

Speaker 4 (21:23):
Okay, Telestrations the Big Edition. We're adding that. Thank you, Lisa.
Jump in anytime, you know, We love to hear from you.
We always love to hear about your favorite Christmas movies
all season long.

Speaker 3 (21:33):
Eight seven seven three one zero four m s. J.

Speaker 1 (21:39):
Guess what I got for my son Jackson? Okay? What's oh?
Drum set, No, I'm out of guess he got me?

Speaker 5 (21:47):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (21:48):
He tried to give me a Father's Day card?

Speaker 2 (21:51):
Why Thanksgiving?

Speaker 1 (21:53):
Over Thanksgiving, why he was cleaning out his room and
last this path this year for Father's Day, he was
with me and apparently forgot to get a gift, which
I'm fine with it. The kids always you know, when
I get older, they will remember that stuff. So he
didn't get a gift.

Speaker 2 (22:12):
Whatever.

Speaker 1 (22:12):
So he calls his mom and she goes and picks
He tells her what he wants. She goes and picks
it up, brings it over to the house in a bag. Card.
There was a canvas because he was gonna paint something
for me cute, and it got put in his room
and it sat there, and it sat there, and I
have picked up that card so many times. You know
he was there. Yeah, because it's Jack doesn't hide Jack did.

(22:35):
He doesn't think that far ahead. Okay, so it's just
like left it all there. Well, he was cleaning up
over the Thanksgiving holiday. He comes and goes, hey, I
never gave you your Father's Day gift. I said no,
that's all right. He goes, but I had one for you.
I said, yeah, you got the thing and you're gonna paint.
He goes, yeah. He goes he guysn't had a card too.

(22:55):
I said, yeah, I've seen the card. I've cleaned your
room a few times. I picked the envelope up over
here and the card over there. He goes, well, here
he gives me the card. There's nothing written in it.
I was like, what what is this for? He goes,
it's your Father's Day card? You just picked it up
off your floor and to give to me. You didn't

(23:17):
even write, Like does he not know what use? I
don't know what the deal was. I was like, it's okay,
just keep it. He goes, you know what, I'll save
this for Father's Day next year. I said, yeah, okay,
he should.

Speaker 3 (23:30):
That becomes the joke.

Speaker 2 (23:31):
You do that all right, I just got a special meeting.
At least it's got something.

Speaker 3 (23:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (23:35):
That becomes the private joke. That card needs to circulate forever,
and he could write something new in it every year,
you know, on the cards or as big of a
deal to kids.

Speaker 1 (23:43):
Canvas as he had. And the paint. I don't know
where the paint is. It's gone. The canvas is, He's
got one left because he used the other ones to
paint stuff and other stuff. Yeah, who knows what.

Speaker 4 (23:52):
At least he remembered. It is the thought that counts,
especially from a kid. And he did pick it up
off of his floor and say here, yeah, it only
took six months offering.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
Yeah, well so I guess this means that you should
plan on getting your Christmas gift from him sometime in March.

Speaker 1 (24:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (24:07):
Yeah, Sam has music News.

Speaker 1 (24:09):
It's going to run down the big list of names
of folks that are going to be playing for that
wildfire benefit concert next week for you.

Speaker 6 (24:16):
Sam's got music news.

Speaker 1 (24:18):
Big benefit concert coming up this Sunday for the California
Wildlife wildfire victims. Yeah, of the proceeds is going to
go to the victims. Tickets started at seven hundred and
fifty bucks and they're going to go all the way
up to thirty thousand dollars.

Speaker 3 (24:32):
It's turned into one of these huge music festivals there, right, and.

Speaker 1 (24:35):
It's sold out too. So I mean, even though those
prices were that, it's already sold up.

Speaker 2 (24:40):
Yeah, for a lot of people obviously that want to
It's you're talking about something devastating. So I'm sure there
are a ton of donors that are willing to help.

Speaker 1 (24:47):
Leading the way. Top of the list for performers is
Katie Perry.

Speaker 5 (24:51):
I got the.

Speaker 1 (24:55):
Area has the donors too. Let's just be honest. Gwen
Stefani is going to be performing a Gray Robin Thick.
I'm assuming that Gwen is there, than Blake will show
up and do something too different. People from cold Play,
the Chili Peppers, food Fighters all going to be there,
not the whole bands, but it'll be bigger too. Yeah.
And so I don't have And the weird thing is
I don't have any information on like showing this on

(25:18):
on TV or a CD or DVD being put together.
I'm assuming they're gonna work on that and do it
because you know, it's another way to raise more money
for it. Speaking of Gwen, did you hear what Gwenn
and Blake Shelton had for their Thanksgiving dinner? It was
the Flaming Cheetos Hot Hot Cheetos crusted turkey.

Speaker 2 (25:41):
They did do that. I was I was wondering who
was gonna make it. Didn't know it was gonna be
yea them.

Speaker 1 (25:46):
No comments on how it tasted, but that she Gwen
actually posted on Instagram the oven and there it was
all bright and orange, just nice and crispy.

Speaker 4 (25:54):
And blame me on the outside, you know, I love
them broken up on top of a salad works.

Speaker 1 (26:01):
Oh, regular Cheetos. If you make a ham sandwich and
you put regular Cheetos on.

Speaker 3 (26:05):
It, there are no regular Cheetos anymore.

Speaker 1 (26:06):
For me, I'm not. That is so good. And okay,
here's your little music quiz. Here. Tell me who this
is singing here?

Speaker 2 (26:23):
I can't tell.

Speaker 1 (26:24):
You'll never guess this one. He's got a band called
the Sharks. He's been writing music for half a century
since he was twelve, and they're gonna put out finally
their first album this Friday. That's Dennis Quaid.

Speaker 2 (26:38):
Oh wow, that's right. I remember him, you know, doing
the whole band thing, starting the band a long time ago.

Speaker 1 (26:45):
They played apparently they play a lot, but they've never
sat down and put together an album. So wow, we'll
get it. This. It's called out of the Box, and
you get it this Friday.

Speaker 6 (26:55):
Nice Murphy Salmon Jody Music News.

Speaker 4 (26:58):
You know we always love to hear from you, so
jump in anytime to all this holiday fine eight seven
seven three one zero four ms J.

Speaker 1 (27:05):
Shannon, you are next.

Speaker 4 (27:06):
Shannon wants to give us her new favorite Christmas movie
she just discovered.

Speaker 3 (27:14):
Gift Today.

Speaker 4 (27:14):
Ideas are online now and we'll grow every single day
just to spark your imagination. At Murphy Samonjody dot com,
you can also email Santa there. He reads and sees
every single email and of course all season. We love
to hear about your favorite holiday movies because they get
you in the fields. Eight seven seven three one zero
four MSJ.

Speaker 2 (27:35):
How are you, Shannon?

Speaker 8 (27:37):
Good? Tired?

Speaker 5 (27:38):
Yeah?

Speaker 10 (27:39):
I called in a couple of weeks ago about this time.
I was on my way to clinicles. Yes, and I'm
not a morning person.

Speaker 5 (27:45):
Yes, oh come my.

Speaker 10 (27:47):
At that time, my Christmas movie was Elf. Yeah, and
it's now it's kind of tied to a new movie
that just came out at the Netflix Original.

Speaker 8 (27:56):
Wait, it's The Christmas Chronicles.

Speaker 3 (27:57):
Yes, Andy kr Russell Santa Russell.

Speaker 10 (27:59):
And yes, it's amazing. I've watched it three times the.

Speaker 11 (28:04):
Last two days.

Speaker 5 (28:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (28:05):
Worldly Hans in it too.

Speaker 3 (28:07):
At the very end, there's a cameo by going yeah,
you know, and.

Speaker 10 (28:12):
It's an amazing, amazing you know.

Speaker 3 (28:14):
I love Kurt Russell, so anything he does I'm down for.

Speaker 10 (28:18):
Like, don't even plays the Perfect ten o'claus. My brother's
not much for those kind of movies. Yeah, and he
loved it.

Speaker 1 (28:28):
I have to tell you.

Speaker 4 (28:29):
I heard that his beard is eighty percent him, like
you know, he yeah, and then they had to do
a few little Hollywood things to it. But I'm down
all day for Kurt Russell as Santa.

Speaker 6 (28:40):
Yes, all day.

Speaker 10 (28:42):
Well, you'll definitely need to get the popcorn blankets and
hot toso and sit down and watch the family. It's amazing.

Speaker 3 (28:49):
Yeah cool, I'll definitely do it. Thank you Shannon for that.

Speaker 2 (28:53):
All right, I appreciate the call.

Speaker 5 (28:55):
You know.

Speaker 2 (28:55):
I don't think it's gonna take much convincing at all
to get jokes out.

Speaker 1 (28:59):
I've seen it already on Netflix.

Speaker 4 (29:00):
The only problem is I am super attracted to Kurt Russell,
and you know, Santa, he's pure botherly to me.

Speaker 2 (29:10):
Just look at it for its holiday value, and it's.

Speaker 1 (29:12):
Hard not to look at Kurt Russell. You don't want
to have those feelings.

Speaker 4 (29:15):
I don't want to have those feelings for Santa, But Shannon,
I'm gonna watch it for sure. Thank you for that
jump in anytime eight seven seven three one zero for
MSJ coming up.

Speaker 6 (29:27):
You're Hollywood.

Speaker 4 (29:28):
Oh that Lion King teaser trailer, everything they have told
us coming up.

Speaker 6 (29:35):
Judy's Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 4 (29:37):
Nicole Kidman says there may not be a Big Little
Lies season three.

Speaker 5 (29:43):
We have this sturdy secret, So.

Speaker 4 (29:46):
This new one that's coming out in twenty nineteen, Big
Little Lies Season two might be it. Not because they
wouldn't love to work together longer and more, and not
that there's not a lot of good story there.

Speaker 1 (29:56):
I'm ready for this. I'm ready for season two.

Speaker 4 (29:59):
But because it's so star sudded, it's Reese Witherspoon, it
is Nicole Kidman, Shalene Woodley, Laura Dern, Meryl Streep.

Speaker 1 (30:08):
Joining this time, I forgot.

Speaker 4 (30:09):
It's too hard to get those people together. Those people
have their pick of projects and they want to move
on to something else. And so this new coming season
on HBO and Art should be early next year, should
be the last one.

Speaker 1 (30:24):
Well, this season is going to be because wasn't the
first season based on a book. Yeah, so this season's.

Speaker 4 (30:29):
Kind of but it's based on the person who wrote
the book. Also help them pin this season two, so
know that, know that going forward. Also, we haven't talked
about this yet. And oh my goodness, I think I've
watched it five or six times. If you saw over
the holiday weekend that we got the live action Jon
Favreau Lion King teaser trailer, everything.

Speaker 5 (30:50):
That touches, it's all Kingdom.

Speaker 4 (30:56):
James Earl Jones voice right there. Yeah, crazy beautiful. It
looks seen for seeing like the cartoons are.

Speaker 1 (31:02):
Coming, wait for something different, and it's like, where's the rock? Okay,
everybody bows, but I don't want different.

Speaker 2 (31:08):
Yeah, you want that familiarity. The only thing I think
would be better than the preview itself would it be
a scene on a bigger screen. I saw it on
Jody's phone. Yeah that's very small.

Speaker 4 (31:18):
Like panting, like, oh my gosh, this movie means so
much to me. It was a cultural cultural phenomenon. You
know that people who don't have never even seen the
animated know how big of a deal it is.

Speaker 1 (31:30):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (31:30):
And it looks so fantastic.

Speaker 4 (31:33):
The teaser trailer broke a record for the most views
in a day for any teaser trailer ever. Didn't really
because everybody, Yes, two hundred and twenty five million views
around the world. Who in the first twenty four hours
you think everybody's ready for that?

Speaker 1 (31:46):
I was one of them.

Speaker 3 (31:46):
I'm telling you.

Speaker 1 (31:47):
If you haven't seen it.

Speaker 3 (31:48):
And you want a little heart beaten a little faster,
go check it out today.

Speaker 4 (31:52):
Up today with Jody's Hollywood Outsider coming up in your
next Outsider around eight thirty. We'll let you know where
you can catch Jason Momoa you know awkwa Man in
December in a really fun way.

Speaker 3 (32:05):
Still November, Thankful Pumpkin time.

Speaker 4 (32:07):
Okay, so the pumpkin's already gone around, Sam, you wrote
today you're thankful for your four slice toaster. Oh yeah, nice,
that's one of the best things ever is Murphy thinks
so too at our house.

Speaker 2 (32:17):
It's weird that you say. I'm not going to write
that on the Thankful Pumpkin today, But I did say that.
Actually I said it to Jody's cousins because they've got
one also.

Speaker 1 (32:25):
And I was in charge breakfast easy.

Speaker 2 (32:28):
Yeah, I was in charge of toast, not the only
thing they trust for you.

Speaker 1 (32:32):
With maybe you should put that on, put that down,
but that you know, so to.

Speaker 2 (32:36):
Do toast for eight people. I mean it worked out
with two slices each. You see what I'm saying. I
wasn't using a four slice toaster. It would have been
a tough day breakfast all together.

Speaker 1 (32:47):
I mean, I know it's dumb, but it's just so
amazing that it's been there the whole time and I've
never had one.

Speaker 3 (32:53):
Because now just make you happy.

Speaker 1 (32:55):
You want a sandwich, You want a sandwich. I can
do two sandwiches at once, excell. Then it's just amazing.

Speaker 4 (33:00):
It is, okay, a good gift idea for anybody. Force
life toaster. But you can put that in the list.

Speaker 2 (33:04):
And that's just the simplest things, right.

Speaker 4 (33:06):
I wrote my routine routine in general, I am grateful
for that because it keeps me grounded. I love the
time off that we had over the Thanksgiving break, but
it helps me to be centered focused.

Speaker 3 (33:17):
Yeah, I do better in my routine.

Speaker 2 (33:19):
I get overwhelm when I'm out of the routine because
there are too many things that need to be done.
It's true around the house prep for you know, the holiday,
and it's just that kind of big.

Speaker 1 (33:28):
Yeah, these aren't in my Google calendar. Where are they?

Speaker 3 (33:31):
Producer Bailey wrote color changing leaves and trees.

Speaker 1 (33:34):
Yeah, yeah, it's simple, but boy, I'm I glad it happens.
That's so cool. Yeah, nice zen moment from Bailey. As usual,
you get to break them all and you're going to
write something on it. You haven't taken your turn yet.

Speaker 2 (33:46):
Oh I didn't write mine today.

Speaker 1 (33:47):
Well, I know what it is, force Life's toaster.

Speaker 2 (33:49):
No, it's not the force slice toaster hates.

Speaker 1 (33:52):
What is it going to be?

Speaker 2 (33:53):
You feel like I'm going to be so careful. Oh hey,
this grateful I mean thankful pumpkin is getting scratched.

Speaker 1 (33:58):
It's okay, you see that.

Speaker 2 (33:59):
Yeah, it's a the paint's coming off.

Speaker 4 (34:01):
All right, it's going to hit the trash, it's not
I mean, we're going to say that forever us before
you write it, Murphy, let's just sit here and wait
for him to write it.

Speaker 2 (34:11):
It's one word mentors, my mentors. Oh yeah, now that
includes anybody like my grandmother, you know, my parents, or
this would be funny. I'm knocking the studio cameras everywhere.
I'm really clumsy.

Speaker 1 (34:23):
Other day mentors.

Speaker 2 (34:25):
Yeah, I mean mentors, fresh Maker, what's wrong? Why are
you laughing at that? People who you know, teachers, anybody.

Speaker 1 (34:31):
Who's not born in my life choice.

Speaker 4 (34:32):
I'm laughing at the fact that you insisted on writing
it while we're talking about instead of just saying, is
that it was knocked over a very expensive camera.

Speaker 1 (34:42):
That's That's a good thing to be grateful for. I'll
need mentors.

Speaker 2 (34:46):
And then I'm glad that we're actually coming back and
finishing the Grateful Pumpkin. We still we have a few
days this week.

Speaker 1 (34:50):
We need to fill her out. We did more this
year than previous year.

Speaker 4 (34:55):
Eight one h or MS checking your voicemail coming up
next in the twenty four hour Voicemail. We love hearing
from you anytime, So if you want to jump into
a conversation, give us a call eight seven seven three
one zero four MSJ. When we're not here and you
think to call, or you've listened to the podcast, you

(35:16):
want to call and tell us something, leave us a voicemail.

Speaker 3 (35:18):
They stack up every day we have to take.

Speaker 2 (35:20):
We love we listen to every single one.

Speaker 6 (35:22):
Murphy, Sam and Judy twenty four hour Voicemail.

Speaker 11 (35:26):
Come on, guys, call on the comment about a segment
you did last week before Thanksgiving, inappropriate discussion at the
dinner table. If that was the best, people need to
be made aware of that. Keep it civil and remember
what the holidays are about. Marry Christmas. Thanks for that segment.

Speaker 2 (35:43):
Oh, thank you for the mail. We appreciate that.

Speaker 3 (35:46):
It was like what not to say, what not to
bring up and talk about at a holiday table.

Speaker 1 (35:51):
Politics and religion, obviously, but then.

Speaker 3 (35:54):
Don't say anything about how much somebody's eating.

Speaker 1 (35:56):
I'm sure how they're eating, yeah, true. Don't ask when
are you dating again? Don't bring up any embarrassing old stories. Yeah,
because usually the person that it's about doesn't want to
hear it.

Speaker 3 (36:07):
Of course not.

Speaker 1 (36:08):
I'm not in that setting, of course.

Speaker 5 (36:10):
Not.

Speaker 3 (36:11):
Don't bring up exes either.

Speaker 4 (36:12):
I don't think that's not that you know, we didn't
talk about that, But I don't think you should bring
up someone's ex It's a lot of pain attached to that.

Speaker 2 (36:19):
We didn't bring up backs is a Thanksgiving? Did we?
No way?

Speaker 6 (36:23):
So?

Speaker 2 (36:23):
And I think we we practiced every single one of
these and it was a very wonderful you know enough
enough that we would. And what's funny is the Thanksgiving
gathering that we're part of. It's not that it would
ever go there or become a problem. It's a pretty
open discussion.

Speaker 12 (36:38):
You know.

Speaker 2 (36:38):
Everybody's very pretty open minded, and you know, it's even keeled,
not easily offended, you.

Speaker 3 (36:42):
Know, but we all have you know, our own well.

Speaker 2 (36:46):
It's a natural filter, you know. It's it's almost sort
of like if you wouldn't say it in front of
your grandmother, then don't say it at the table in
front of anybody.

Speaker 1 (36:54):
I believe some would call that common sense. Well, but
it isn't for everybody.

Speaker 2 (36:58):
Now in a world where the filters kind of get
lifted sometimes, you know, not everybody is taught the same thing.

Speaker 4 (37:04):
Yeah, and I also this is this is very ticky, tacky,
but I will throw out jokes, inappropriate jokes, not right
at the holiday gamo. There are people that we used
to be in our family who would like to throw
out some inappropriate jokes. And of course those stick and
you remember them forever as a part of Christmas or Thanksgiving,
but I don't think they're for everybody.

Speaker 1 (37:24):
What is that game that we played cards against humanity?
That's different. That was after the meal. The kids were
in the other rooms inappropriate.

Speaker 2 (37:33):
Right, you got to make sure you play that game.
Not an earshot of anybody.

Speaker 3 (37:37):
All right, thank you for leaving that voicemail. We love
to hear from you.

Speaker 4 (37:40):
Eight seven seven three one zero four MSJ coming up
with Murphy, Sam and Jody.

Speaker 2 (37:46):

again yesterday. You're going to get a new one every

Here's the deal, you know, and you know this, Sam,
you probably do the same thing. When Murphy goes to
the home improvement store. He always comes home with something.
Oh wow, Jody, I bought this. We can use this
a million ways. Isn't it cool that it exists? And so,
but this thing he really does use a lot. And

(38:40):
that's your new pressure washer.

Speaker 2 (38:42):
Well it's an electric one, and Jody is the first
question Jody asked when I got it was don't you
have one already? And then I want to explain with that,
Yes I do, but it's gas powered, and I got
to go to the shed and I've got to drag
it out, and you know, I mean to me and
I love that pressure washer, but that's one of those
where that's for the heavy duty stuff. It's just too
much of a pain in the behind to drag it out.
So there was one that I saw on sale and

(39:05):
I went ahead and got it, and I love it.
In fact, yeah I have. It's so easy to pull
out and use.

Speaker 1 (39:10):
And it's got a handle and everything it rolls ound.

Speaker 2 (39:14):
Yeah exactly, it's it couldn't be easier to move.

Speaker 4 (39:16):
Around, Like you've cleaned the dog area, the car port,
your car, the basketball goal, anything that would stand still outside.

Speaker 1 (39:23):
He is clean.

Speaker 2 (39:25):
For clarity, though I did not clean the dogs with it.
Only the dog area.

Speaker 1 (39:30):
I have to clarify that. But I'm gonna set this
on dogs. They are outside is sparkling.

Speaker 2 (39:37):
Yeah, so you know there they're a handful of different
kinds that you can get. You know, I stopped worrying
about the p s I you know, the pounds per
square inch and all that kind of stuff.

Speaker 1 (39:48):
Pressure.

Speaker 2 (39:50):
Yeah, you know, it's just like, as long as it
cleans and doesn't rip paint off of things, I'll be fine.

Speaker 1 (39:54):
Okay. When I bought mine, Murphy, I thought of you
reading the PSIS, I'm thinking, what would Murphy you get here?

Speaker 5 (40:00):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (40:00):
Yeah, they're all about the same unless you really want
to blow pain off.

Speaker 2 (40:04):
Yeah, and I'm looking at eighteen hundred or two thousand.
Well maybe I really should go for this for the
better one. Yeah, you realized it's only two hundred, you know,
a difference and the price is fifty bucks less. Let
me go with the lesser. Nice Anyway, We've got a
couple of suggestions for you. It really is a good
dad's gift. If he's still going to get out and
clean things, I.

Speaker 1 (40:21):
Think it is too.

Speaker 3 (40:22):
Now, don't get it. If you want him to clean things,
he doesn't want.

Speaker 2 (40:25):
Right, if he's not a handy kind of person. He
made much.

Speaker 3 (40:27):
You love using it, Yes, I swear you do, so
check it out.

Speaker 4 (40:30):
Those links A gift today at Murphysaman Jody dot Com.

Speaker 6 (40:35):
Coming up next with Murphy Sam and Jody.

Speaker 4 (40:37):
How to do a Ham in the instant Pot in
fifteen minutes and guess what it was the best ham
we ever had at Thanksgiving? How to do a Ham
in the instant Pot. We promised you this because we
had this at my cousin Crystal's house for Thanksgiving and.

Speaker 2 (40:51):
Wow, it was good, as cousin Eddie would say, Saddie.

Speaker 3 (40:56):
Crystal, Hey, hey, thank you for agreeing to visit with
us this morning on this.

Speaker 6 (41:01):
No problem.

Speaker 4 (41:02):
Okay, So you told me you were doing the ham
in the instant pot and I was like, oh wow,
and I knew I had to watch. So you just
buy a spiral cut ham, right, take me through it. Yeah.

Speaker 8 (41:12):
So it's a bone in spiral cut ham. The recipe
says around eight pounds or so, or as it was
like eleven, so we kind of had to shove it
in there a little bit.

Speaker 2 (41:21):
Yeah, that was That was to me. Part of the
entertainment was watching I stick that thing in there.

Speaker 1 (41:27):
Okay.

Speaker 8 (41:28):
Luckily we were determined, so we got it in there.

Speaker 1 (41:30):
So do you put water in it? I think you did?

Speaker 8 (41:32):
Yes, you put like one and a half cups of
water in the bottom. And mean you have to use
like the steamer tray, like the little insert got it,
you know, with the handles, or you can just use
your steamer basket whatever you have. Yeah, and you just
put it in there. You started fifteen minutes and you
quick release it.

Speaker 4 (41:48):
Yeah, so it takes about fifteen minutes to come up
to pressure. Then you ut pressure cooking for fifteen and
then I remember the look whenever you quick released it.
Oh my gosh, it smells so happy in the house.

Speaker 8 (42:01):
Yes, it smelled from delicious good.

Speaker 1 (42:03):
My quick release instead of letting it go slowly, probably because.

Speaker 8 (42:06):
It's already cooked. Yeah, a lot of uncooked to me.
You do a slow relase so that it doesn't get dry. Yeah,
it wasn't dry, but it wasn't at all. But it was,
you know, it was really well. And then after that
you take it out. Then you put the glaze on.
You don't put anything on it beforehand, put the glaze
on after and then you put it on a broiler
just for like a minute or so until it caramelizes.

(42:27):
It'll do that quickly if you have to watch it closely. Yeah,
it was just like a minute or so and it
was out and that was it. I was done.

Speaker 4 (42:33):
Oh my god, it was so delicious. I thought you
put it in the regular oven for ten, but you're
saying broiler for one.

Speaker 1 (42:38):
After that.

Speaker 4 (42:39):
It was really one of the best I've ever had.
Don't tell my mom, okay, because she makes ham.

Speaker 1 (42:43):
In the in the oven.

Speaker 2 (42:45):
Yeah it was so good. I mean I enjoyed it
for Thankshiving dinner. I had it for breakfast, I had
it for lunch the next day. I think I had
one more breakfast out of it. It was good.

Speaker 8 (42:54):
Well it was big, so you know, we have plenty
of meals out of it. But yeah, it was good
and it was so easy.

Speaker 4 (42:58):
Yeah, you are the instant pot queen. And Sam his
mom already told him that she's giving him an instant
pot for Christmas.

Speaker 1 (43:04):
Yes, so I got to accumulate a few recipes here.

Speaker 8 (43:07):
Oh excellent.

Speaker 2 (43:08):
Wait to spoil the surprise though. I don't know why
she told him, but she did.

Speaker 1 (43:12):
Yeah, ready you get ready, all right? Thank you? We
miss you already.

Speaker 2 (43:16):
Yeah, miss you too, miss you and the food and
maybe equally I'm just kidding, kidding.

Speaker 4 (43:23):
Okay, check out this recipe Queen Crystal instant pot approved.
Okay at murphysaman Jody dot com.

Speaker 2 (43:31):

to day ideas. You can get those links at Murphy

Speaker 1 (43:39):
You know, when you shop at some of the stores
during the holidays, they put things in they offer you
the option of the black bag so the kids can't
see through it or not just the kids.

Speaker 3 (43:47):
Like if you were yeah, Murphy, and you got a
present for him in there, well I was gonna say this.

Speaker 2 (43:52):
I could say the same thing for Jody. If I
walk in the house with anything remotely shaped, like or hidden,
she can still figure it out.

Speaker 4 (43:58):
Not true, you give me to its credit. Actually, the
truth is he doesn't notice what I bring in. I
could bring it in and go with a bow on it.

Speaker 1 (44:07):
Well, apparently Amazon has got a little thing like that
too with Alexa, and I found this out. I have
my Alexa set up so when they deliver stuff, you
give it this, it's either a yellow or a lime
green ring goes around the top. I'm colorblind. Sound No,
it goes around the top, and so you know, oh,
it's a notification. You're looking at it. Yeah, but you're
not looking at Alexa, what's the notification and she'll tell

(44:27):
you what has been delivered, So.

Speaker 2 (44:30):
You're not actually supposed to bang on the side of
the echo because something.

Speaker 13 (44:33):
I didn't know that existed, Murphy, and it tells you
exactly what you ordered. And during the holidays, here's what
she does instead.

Speaker 12 (44:43):
One new notification from Amazon's shopping for Sam a shipment
has arrived. To avoid spoiling any surprises, I won't share
package contents until after the new year.

Speaker 2 (44:56):
Yeah, that's really good. You have to tell her to
do that that way.

Speaker 1 (45:00):
Oh I didn't even tell her to do notifications that way.
She just took over nice.

Speaker 4 (45:07):
So much for you right now at the holidays, Christmas monsters,

Speaker 4 (45:38):
You get it. You're in the kitchen, you'll make something
you give it. But they're not all food. There are
a few little spa like things.

Speaker 1 (45:44):
There you can make. Okakay, you can make a spa thing.

Speaker 3 (45:48):
Like bath salts things like that.

Speaker 1 (45:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 12 (45:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (45:50):
And you can make those things and just set them
aside so that if you're doing that last minute visit
party or somebody shows up right for you.

Speaker 1 (45:57):
You mean that's surprise, Oh yes, I got you.

Speaker 4 (46:00):
Wait, Or if you want to make a Saturday of
it and just make a bunch of stuff and wrap
it up. It's not random, but you just take care
of it all at once. These are some good ideas.
I did some teachers gifts from this stuff last year.

Speaker 2 (46:10):
And it was good.

Speaker 1 (46:11):
Yeah, okay, it's still rich snackers with the rollers in
the middle.

Speaker 2 (46:14):
