Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to the Murphy Salmon Choty Weekend Show podcast, highlighting
some of our favorite moments from this past week.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
Follow us on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
Speaker 3 (00:11):
Well of hearing from you there.
Speaker 4 (00:12):
Especially with this no pressure new year, we like to
call it that, you know, having the January blues. It
doesn't happen for everybody, but it can be a bumpy reintrigue.
Speaker 1 (00:23):
It's a fairly normal thing.
Speaker 4 (00:24):
It was for me earlier this week was I was
happy to be here, but it felt it was just.
Speaker 3 (00:29):
Hard to let it all go.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
Are you over it already?
Speaker 3 (00:32):
I think so. Yeah, I'm seeing a light.
Speaker 2 (00:34):
First day and I was just like, okay, let's move on.
Speaker 3 (00:36):
Good.
Speaker 4 (00:37):
Christy says this regarding January blues. She sent this to Messenger.
My birthday is in January the twenty first, and I
fight the January blues by celebrating the whole month.
Speaker 1 (00:49):
Well that's a good idea.
Speaker 4 (00:50):
Well, something I never used to do, but I finally
accepted that I'm worth it. With each pay check, I
do something just for me, not nest necessarily something big.
I get my hair done, or even by myself, my
favorite candy. Sometimes I just pick a day to bedrot
Binge watching a show or reading. I work full time
(01:12):
and go to school, so I take that mental health
time and I don't feel even a little bit bad
about it. I hope you've had a great new year
so far. Your show makes my daily commute so much better.
And that is from Christy.
Speaker 2 (01:25):
Awesome, Christy.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
That is a great share and a great way to
you know, just anytime you've got something to look forward to,
that's the next thing. It'll help pull you out of
that post Christmas funk or the January blues.
Speaker 4 (01:36):
One of the reasons I wanted to be honest and
talk about it and be honest on you know, Monday
of this week, like I feel the January blues is
because I do think it's very common and even though
I know better, it's.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
The same thing as when you get back from vacation.
Speaker 4 (01:49):
Right, I know, I have a good life and and
I have to do all. You know, you got to
work and you got to get in the world to
have the life.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
Yeah, I think it depends on the experience that you're
you know, you're having personally, if you're fortunate enough that
you've got family around you and it's a joyous time
and it's celebration and you're slowing down for a minute,
going back as it's a natural thing to I think
that you don't want to lose it.
Speaker 3 (02:12):
I used to have that every Sunday night.
Speaker 4 (02:15):
My mom even finally pointed it out to me, and
I was like, oh, she's right. I would start to
get sad about letting go of my comfort, my safety
spot with my family over the weekend, and then I
was going to go into school where I.
Speaker 3 (02:27):
Didn't feel as comfortable.
Speaker 4 (02:28):
Yeah, and so that's something the Sunday night blues. Thank you, Christy,
keep it coming.
Speaker 3 (02:37):
Social Media connect, well you.
Speaker 4 (02:39):
Really came through. I don't know what to watch, binge
watch or read right now, but I want both in
my life, and so I asked you, and boy did
you come through. The comments are still rolling in about
what's to binge watch and read, so you're ready to
dig in guys from Instagram and Facebook. Tiffany said Death
by Lightning on Netflix, which is an amazing four part
(03:00):
mini series based on President James Garfield.
Speaker 2 (03:04):
I made a vow to end the rot in our partner,
President James Golfeld.
Speaker 3 (03:14):
It looks really well done.
Speaker 4 (03:15):
So Tiffany goes on to say, and she commented, I
got a degree in history and taught ap us history
for a decade and never knew this story.
Speaker 1 (03:24):
Wow. So it's not an embellished story or anything like that.
Speaker 4 (03:27):
No, based on real events. That sounds like you too.
Sound that sounds like that. So it's called Death by
Lightning and is on Netflix. So thank you, Tiffany. It's
kind of serious, but still well.
Speaker 1 (03:39):
Yeah, I think. Wasn't he one of the presidents who
was assassinated?
Speaker 3 (03:42):
I think?
Speaker 4 (03:43):
So, you know, it's funny when you're looking for something
new to watch, you know, you'll try something. And I
put on another true crime thing the other night, some
deadly American marriage thing, and I just my heart wasn't
in it. Neither was the wives. Carol sent this. My
daughter got me hooked on that new series on HBO
(04:06):
called The.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
Pit your replacement early.
Speaker 3 (04:09):
She's just covering one of my little sabbatical.
Speaker 4 (04:12):
The first season is already there and they've done and
they won a bunch of awards. It's on HBO, and
then the new season just dropped, so there's a second
season that's brand new that you can binge right now too,
So thank you. You're not the Carol's not the only
one who recommended the pit, Murphy, would you be down.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
For the pit with me?
Speaker 1 (04:29):
Yeah, I'll give it a try.
Speaker 3 (04:31):
Doesn't sound.
Speaker 4 (04:33):
You know?
Speaker 1 (04:34):
I mean I do. I like the hospital genre because
I watched Gray's Anatomy with you.
Speaker 3 (04:39):
Only a bit, A little bit. Yeah, as soon as
it got sappy.
Speaker 1 (04:43):
We can try one episode and see if I get hooked.
Speaker 4 (04:45):
Okay, fine, and then Trisha and so I'm Kelly said
all her fault on Peacock the.
Speaker 3 (04:51):
Time when a child goes missing, it's a misunderstanding between
parents and past.
Speaker 4 (04:57):
Watching the trailer, this one seems but if you can watch,
you could watch this because it's sort of in that genre.
Thank you for your recommendations. We always love them. You
know what I've done for the last two nights at
the house, Murphy. I told you about it.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
Well, you took down the Christmas tree.
Speaker 2 (05:14):
I know that you want to come to my house
and do it too.
Speaker 1 (05:17):
No, Oh, is your tree still up?
Speaker 2 (05:19):
Yeah? I need to take it.
Speaker 1 (05:19):
Oh, well, you know what, you extend the season.
Speaker 2 (05:23):
As long as you won December again soon or half.
Speaker 4 (05:26):
We touched on it early this week in the show
that it helps you get a better night's sleep. It's
not just a trend. It works for many people. Dark showering,
and even because of that discussion, I decided to try it.
Speaker 1 (05:37):
Yeah, and you told me that you tried it. I've
not been home either time you tried it. And our
shower tends to have a really bright light in it.
Speaker 3 (05:43):
So your home, you just didn't know I was showering.
Speaker 1 (05:45):
Okay, because it was dark.
Speaker 3 (05:47):
You couldn't buy me.
Speaker 4 (05:49):
So the first night I did it, I left the
light on just outside of the bathroom, outside of the shower,
and it was okay.
Speaker 3 (05:56):
It was a dim shower.
Speaker 4 (05:57):
Last night, I only left a far away light on
and it was a dark shower and it was so fantastic.
Speaker 3 (06:05):
This is not just a trend. If you do this right,
it is so relaxing because it takes away the visual
stimulation and you are feeling the warm water even more,
you are smelling the body wash even more. And I've
been doing a scrub.
Speaker 4 (06:20):
I got a sugar scrub for Christmas and I've been
doing on my calves and ankles.
Speaker 3 (06:25):
Found hostile.
Speaker 1 (06:26):
I'm glad you're enjoying it. Are you sure you're not
just buying into the hype?
Speaker 4 (06:29):
Yes, I knew you were going to say that. Okay,
well I'm not. My experience is that I find it
more relaxing than a regular bright shower. Okay. Jennifer sent
this to our Facebook messenger. I love dark showering and
normally turn on the vent light and that is just enough.
Light is so calming. Mark sent this, Hey, guys, I've
(06:54):
been listening and catching up on the podcast every day.
I want to tell you about my dark showering. I
usually have small, all led candles lit up in the bathroom.
I get some nice rain or storm com beyance playing
on my phone, and I just relax. It's a nice
hot shower after a long day, and I find it
really soothing.
Speaker 1 (07:13):
That makes sense, that combo of all of it, that
really does sound cool. And I love the safety factor
of the led candles. That's nice.
Speaker 4 (07:20):
The way I dark shower, Murphy is, I know you're
not about it, but I know my way around our bathroom.
Speaker 1 (07:27):
I just don't want the lights off. But you know what,
like your aunt Jackie has these Edison bulbs in her
bathroom and they kind of had that orange just hue
to them, and I bet you that would be relaxing
in a dim.
Speaker 3 (07:37):
You know what else? Dark shower, ha morning, picked me
up times. We all know what muscle memory.
Speaker 1 (07:44):
Is, right, the things that you can do automatically, kind
of like you know, when you learn to drive a car,
it's like stressful because you're paying attention to pedal and everything,
and then it becomes natural.
Speaker 3 (07:53):
Right.
Speaker 4 (07:54):
Riding a bike is muscle memory too. You're thinking about
it when you're first learning to ride a bike. Yeah, man,
that is such a hard thing in life because you're
going to fall.
Speaker 3 (08:03):
You know you're going to fall, and you do.
Speaker 4 (08:05):
And then the first time you're ride without training wheels
well anyway, so you know what muscle memory is. We've
established that. But apparently your brain has something like this too.
It's your own personal GPS. It's called path integration in
your mind. And what it means is, you know how
in your home you could in the middle of the night,
get up in the and it's dark, but you find
(08:26):
your way to the bathroom, just find or your closet
or whatever you need to do. That is your mind.
It's a function of your mind. It's like your own
personal GPS. Researchers say that your mind has gone into
that you have gone into that bathroom one hundred times,
so you have a mental map of it based on
your movements during the day in the light, so you
(08:47):
can get around without sight because of the mental muscle,
right does that makes sense?
Speaker 1 (08:53):
It makes perfect sense. It doesn't explain why I still
kick the coffee table and things like that though in
the middle of the night like that your inches off, Yes, exactly.
Speaker 4 (09:01):
That's a misfire. It doesn't mean that it's perfect every time.
This personal GPS, this path integration, but it does make sense.
Speaker 1 (09:11):
It makes perfect sense. Can this personal GPS help me
find my keys too? If that's another one?
Speaker 4 (09:16):
Put your keys in the same place in the house
and in the same place in your car, you wouldn't
lose them, But he does lose them in his car,
even like every time we're in the cars, Where are
my keys?
Speaker 2 (09:24):
You men have a better mental map? Is that why
we refuse to ask for directions?
Speaker 1 (09:29):
I have all I think we've established on my behalf.
Mind's not so good.
Speaker 4 (09:33):
I have no idea about that. Could not tell you.
I think it depends on the person in the brain.
It's another reason why you feel more vulnerable away from
home in a dark room.
Speaker 1 (09:43):
That makes sense, well, you know what I have you know,
learned about that. What you're talking about, Jody is the
brain actually is designed to try to be really efficient
with its energy and so yeah, so once it's learned something,
it uses less energy to just repeat the process. But
that's why you know the first time you're in an
in a new place, strange place you've never been before,
driving trying to find it's a little.
Speaker 4 (10:03):
Bits more stressful, right, correct? And why you need a
little light on in the hotel room bathroom?
Speaker 1 (10:08):
Oh yeah, we'll leave that at home too for me.
Speaker 2 (10:13):
Chick fil A turning eighty this year, did you know that?
Speaker 3 (10:16):
No? No way?
Speaker 2 (10:18):
And I think yesterday and the food dude, we kind
of mentioned that they have these special collectors cups this
year as part of their celebration. Okay, and what's really
cool about these cups is if you get the right cup,
you can win free Chick fil A for a year.
Speaker 3 (10:31):
Okay, what's the cup?
Speaker 2 (10:32):
Okay? The cups are there are big plastic cups. Each
cup is going to come wrapped, so you don't know
which cup you're getting when you buy it for three
ninety nine at Chick fil A. Okay, if you get
a gold cup. There are three thousand gold cups. Oh
and that's it Gold Cup. There's a certificate in there
that says you won free Chick fil A for a year.
Speaker 1 (10:49):
Oh really yeah.
Speaker 3 (10:50):
And if you get a regular color cup, you just
got a regular cup. Okay, just enjoy it.
Speaker 2 (10:55):
Now. The catch is that the free food for a year.
Obviously they limit it. It's one entree every day a
week for the year. One fifty two entrees, which is
a chicken sandwich or grilled chicken sandwich or eight piece nugget. Okay, okay,
no fries, no drink, but still.
Speaker 3 (11:13):
Still agree you you always got to read the fine print.
Thank you food.
Speaker 2 (11:17):
They started this week and they're going to sell them
until they run out, so if you want to try it,
go get them.
Speaker 3 (11:22):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
I Hops brought back bottomless pancakes and this was going
on through March. If you order one of their there's
six different breakfast combos you can order and it comes
with bottomless pancakes. They'll bring you out two buttermilk pancakes.
By the way, it's only buttermilk. You can't get the
fancy stuff. That's right.
Speaker 4 (11:37):
Who can eat more than two buttermilk pancakes? Though with
a breakfast.
Speaker 2 (11:40):
Yeah, if it was by themselves, I could go for three,
maybe four.
Speaker 3 (11:44):
It's a clever thing for them now.
Speaker 2 (11:45):
And and this is really kind of cool old school here.
They're bringing back the syrup Caddies at I hop remember
the syrup Caddies where they had the four different cut flavors. Yeah,
I didn't know they went away. Yeah, just throw them
on the table now. But they're bringing them back, old
fashion blueberry, strawberry, and butter pecan flavors. Yeah. Easter oreos
have hit the store now. And on the oreo, it's
a regular chocolate oreo. Inside is yellow and pink cream
(12:08):
that tastes normal. Yeah, and you got a butterfly, a
bumble bee, a rabbit of chicken, an Easter bunny. And
each of those animals their nose is a hole so
that the cream comes through, So everybody has a yellow
nose that is fresh. And this one is real fun.
It's a new treat for Valentine's Day. Gummy bands, little
(12:30):
band like friendship bracelets, got it, But they're made a
gummy stuff.
Speaker 3 (12:34):
You can eat them.
Speaker 2 (12:34):
Yeah that's cool, huh.
Speaker 1 (12:36):
I guess with the first bite it's no longer a bracelet.
Speaker 3 (12:39):
No, it's not you get rid of.
Speaker 2 (12:43):
Happy Valentine's Day.
Speaker 3 (12:47):
We're saying earlier.
Speaker 4 (12:48):
If you have family in any branch of the military,
right to them, those letters mean everything to them. They
don't have a lot of time to write, so you
may not receive letters in return, and they're.
Speaker 1 (12:58):
Not using their electronics, especially boot camp.
Speaker 3 (13:00):
No so.
Speaker 4 (13:01):
And we have a cousin who is in the he's
a recruit in the Marines right now. He graduates in February.
I believe it's late February, so soon. But he wasn't
with us for Christmas for that reason. And we did
get some letters, and we did send some letters, and
you could just tell it, every little word meant the
world to him and to us as well.
Speaker 3 (13:20):
Well.
Speaker 4 (13:20):
His mother, my cousin Candace, you know her Sam, when
she arrived at our house for the holidays, she's and
here's the takeaway already.
Speaker 3 (13:29):
If you have a.
Speaker 4 (13:30):
Family member in the military and you get a phone
call that you don't recognize the number, answer it. She
said it was like ten o'clock one night. She almost
never she never answers numbers that she doesn't know, but
it was ten o'clock at night and she just happened
to answer it and it was him.
Speaker 3 (13:47):
He was like Mom, She was like James. She couldn't
believe it.
Speaker 4 (13:52):
He got he won, He earned a phone call to
anyone he wanted to talk to.
Speaker 1 (13:57):
Oh cool, So mom was the first call.
Speaker 3 (13:59):
Yeah, lovely, good choice.
Speaker 4 (14:01):
But then when he told her how he won it,
she was like, I'm conflicted now that you called me.
Speaker 3 (14:09):
It was this drill. They're doing some i.
Speaker 1 (14:11):
Think basic weapons, you know, training where they're rotating their
weapons around to get comfortable with changing positions. Right, You've
seen those quick moves before from the military, you know.
Speaker 4 (14:19):
I mean, well, I can't remember what she said, something
about the no hands drill or something something about hands drill,
but the word was, you know, take your weapon, let's
do this, and the first person to bleed because of
your weapon, you get a free phone call, geez. And
so as soon as he told her that, she was like, ah,
I'm conflicted.
Speaker 3 (14:39):
You bled for this.
Speaker 4 (14:40):
And they had like five maybe six seven minutes on
the phone, and the sergeant was in the room.
Speaker 3 (14:45):
Yeah you know, and so he was. She could tell
that he was trying not to be emotional.
Speaker 4 (14:52):
Hearing his mother's voice, right, because the sergeant was there
and he's a recruit.
Speaker 3 (14:58):
It was just you know, if.
Speaker 4 (14:59):
You have family in the military and you get a
phone call that you weren't expecting, maybe answer it. Well.
Speaker 1 (15:03):
It sounds like the letters easier than the phone call.
Speaker 4 (15:08):
Social media connect Yesterday's After the Show podcast. It was
where I asked, Murphy, do you really mean it? Did
you really mean for me to throw away all the
Christmas goodies and snacks and clean out the pantry so
you can start over? And you said yes, And so
I did throw away some beloved Christmas cookies and some gifts.
Speaker 1 (15:30):
Did you confirm the sugar cookies are gone? Of course
I didn't look for any of it.
Speaker 3 (15:34):
I threw the sugar cookies away. I remember going spy
Santa Bye. Snowman threw away.
Speaker 2 (15:39):
His cotton can too.
Speaker 1 (15:41):
Sam suggestion was really good, though. Bring those things up
here and share them so that they don't just go
in the trash.
Speaker 3 (15:46):
Correct you want me to bring the Giradelli squares up
here and share?
Speaker 1 (15:51):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (15:51):
Or no?
Speaker 1 (15:52):
Wait? I mean at the moment I'm not eating them,
but we can save them for later. At some point
I will snap.
Speaker 4 (15:58):
Look, a lot of us are in this spot and
so you have some atta boys, and you have some
advice on our messenger page and on Instagram and Facebook.
Rebecca said, I understand how Murphy feels. My husband is
also a diabetic with an insulin pump. But I can't
have I can't just have a snack free house, even
(16:18):
for a short time. She's saying for herself. She yes,
snack problems. So I don't snack Monday through Friday. On Saturday,
I always bake something small and enjoy it and we
eat on it, you know, on the weekends. It's my
reward for behaving all week Monday, it goes in the
freezer if there are any leftovers. It's kind of a
(16:38):
good plan. And Rebecca, yeah, how in the world do
you not snack out all Monday through Friday. I mean,
I know it can be done. You can do anything
you put your mind.
Speaker 1 (16:47):
Oh it's what you snack on, that's all I know.
Speaker 4 (16:50):
And I bought you some pickles and Greek yogurts.
Speaker 1 (16:54):
See all those things in the weight watchers world, that's
zero points. I'm not doing weight Watchers, but those zero
point things, you know, that boiled eggs, And I'm good
with all those things. And I've actually lost three pounds already, so.
Speaker 2 (17:07):
You wow, that's so good of Christmas cookies and your
Deli chocolate.
Speaker 3 (17:12):
So you're not alone. And the thing is, it's what
you do most of the time.
Speaker 4 (17:16):
If you were to eat a Jilli Dary, how are
you jed Deli square today?
Speaker 3 (17:22):
Later, it's not the end of the world.
Speaker 4 (17:24):
You just start over within the next hour, right, there's
always time to.
Speaker 1 (17:28):
Do it tomorrow. The problem with me and Jered Delli
squares is it's usually two or three squares in one city. Sorry,
and the next night it was so good, I'm gonna
have to do that again. Right, So see.
Speaker 3 (17:37):
Rebecca, thank you for jumping in.
Speaker 2 (17:41):
Did you see the fun new Lego toy they debuted
this week at the Consumer Electronic Show in Vegas?
Speaker 3 (17:46):
I then we touched on it.
Speaker 4 (17:47):
It's odd but exciting if you play Legos, Yeah, what
is that?
Speaker 2 (17:51):
It's a smart brick. They've come up with a brand
new smart breck. You know. Okay, if you know Legos,
you know they have the little four by two piece,
the basic base. Yeah, that's what the smart breck is.
Now you're thinking, well, so what can you do with that?
They have put in it? A sensor, an accelerometer, a
mini speaker. It's got a silicon chip in it and
that little sucker there. And this is because they've come
(18:12):
out with a new platform called the Smart Play Platform LA.
Now that the toys are not out yet, you can
pre order these and they partnered with Star Wars to
you know, for the first partnership that they're going to
do for the use which.
Speaker 3 (18:25):
Is smart because that's one of the biggest lego sets
they have.
Speaker 2 (18:28):
Yeah, so the smart Brick, it's going to be able
to make noises. It's going to be able to based
on what you do with it and what it's next to.
CEES the Consumer Electronics Show, they took it out, they
put it next to a little Chewbacca figurine and it went,
Chewbacca cool. You put it in One of the playsets
that they're offering right now is Luke Skywalker's X Wing
(18:50):
hundred bucks. Pre order it and put it in there,
and when you start flying it around, it goes. It
does it because it's got the accelerometer based on what
you if you're banking, if you're going down or flying
kind of like that's remarkable. You know, when I bring
my lightsaber in and do that. It makes certain noises
based on what you do.
Speaker 3 (19:09):
I didn't know that that's what it was doing. I
just thought they were noises.
Speaker 2 (19:13):
That's that's what it's going to do.
Speaker 3 (19:15):
That that that's crazy.
Speaker 2 (19:17):
That little thing that is the coolest thing.
Speaker 1 (19:19):
So is it only one smart brick per thing that
you're building or is it?
Speaker 2 (19:22):
I think it's going to come one brick with each
of those kits. Ah, so you can plug that brick
into that kit and do it. And if you buy
another kit, plug a brick.
Speaker 4 (19:29):
What if your friend has a kit and you get
your bricks together that you shouldn't eat anything.
Speaker 2 (19:34):
As long as it knows what sits set it's with,
it should be fine. But it won't. But I know
of effect and it won't make a noise. If you build,
you know, just a block house.
Speaker 1 (19:43):
It's got to be next to something else smart. I
guess you really know what.
Speaker 2 (19:47):
Something else that they can charge you for and you know, okay,
so the smart play.
Speaker 1 (19:51):
So my next question is, hmmm, are they going to
make is there going to be an FBI version of this?
You know where these little bricks that you know they're
building toys and their eye toys out there or something like that.
Speaker 4 (20:01):
I mean, I think the FBI already has stuff that
we don't know about that's not being demoed at the synth.
Speaker 3 (20:06):
Oh yeah, okay.
Speaker 4 (20:10):
It is very cool if you build, if you're into
that kind of and they're going to sell out.
Speaker 3 (20:15):
I think they're pre order now, and they're.
Speaker 2 (20:16):
Pre order that. Like I said, the X Wings, one
hundred Darth Vaders, tie fighters seventy bucks.
Speaker 3 (20:21):
And they're gonna be available though March soon.
Speaker 1 (20:23):
That's wild.
Speaker 2 (20:26):
Jody's Top five entertainment stories of the Week, number.
Speaker 4 (20:30):
Five On Monday Night, You've waited and you're gonna get
it from the Duffer Brothers The Making of Stranger Things.
Speaker 3 (20:37):
It's a it's called One Last Adventure.
Speaker 2 (20:39):
It's a beloved show and mad Ross have to bring it.
Speaker 4 (20:42):
To an end. It's a documentary about the hit series
season five. So it takes you from day one of.
Speaker 3 (20:48):
Oh we're back together again. I haven't seen you in
two years.
Speaker 4 (20:50):
Hey, let's film this every bit of the season, all
the way to the wrap party.
Speaker 1 (20:55):
I am really stoked about that.
Speaker 3 (20:56):
I know you are. That's going to be our Monday
Night Murph.
Speaker 2 (20:58):
They're gonna have the real finale in that food.
Speaker 3 (21:01):
Don't do that. Let's move on.
Speaker 2 (21:03):
Number four.
Speaker 4 (21:04):
Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman are officially divorced. Now killed me,
but they came to agreements on everything. They wave all
child support, all spousal support, alamony. Keith Urban will get
those girls the kids every other weekend and they're not
little kids. Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret Margaret. They'll spend
most of their time with Nicole Kidman and neither one
(21:26):
all week has spoken out, and hopefully they don't.
Speaker 3 (21:29):
They don't need to air their theyn't need to air it.
Speaker 4 (21:31):
But they're both officially they're officially single now, both of them,
after being married for almost two decades, nineteen years.
Speaker 3 (21:38):
Number three I felt that way too, Okay.
Speaker 4 (21:40):
Number three, The House made this big psychological thriller movie.
Speaker 2 (21:44):
So why do you want this?
Speaker 4 (21:45):
Joe? I just really enjoy being a houseman starring Amanda
Seafried and Sydney Sweeney.
Speaker 3 (21:51):
It's getting a sequel.
Speaker 4 (21:53):
It's based on a trilogy of books written by Freeda McFadden.
So I'm excited. And Sidney Sweeney has signed to come back.
That's a big deal. You got to get her and
she's going to star in and executive produce it.
Speaker 3 (22:05):
So maybe get to.
Speaker 4 (22:06):
Reading those now so you'll look forward to the movies.
Number two, This is incredible to me. Twy Hard's Kristen
Stewart said she's ready to reboot Twilight with.
Speaker 3 (22:15):
A huge budget.
Speaker 4 (22:17):
The world.
Speaker 3 (22:18):
I believe you.
Speaker 4 (22:19):
Okay, this was her first big breakout role as Bella Swan.
Speaker 3 (22:22):
We all know that.
Speaker 4 (22:23):
However, she has become a director since Yeah said these
stories mean a lot to her. She would like to
readapt these stories and direct it, and she says she
wants to.
Speaker 2 (22:34):
Do it with better special effects.
Speaker 3 (22:35):
If somebody wants to bring the budget, she will be
there to do the work. Number one and here's what
she wanted to know, Sam.
Speaker 4 (22:42):
Netflix did not drop that secret Stranger Things finale this
week that all the fans wanted because of theories.
Speaker 3 (22:48):
All the theories were wrong.
Speaker 4 (22:50):
No secret episode nine, no conformity gait, and no director's
cut either, even though we weren't given reason to believe it.
Speaker 3 (22:56):
Netflix never said it was coming.
Speaker 4 (22:58):
The Duffer Brothers never said I say go back and
watch the finale again because you'll know what happens.
Speaker 1 (23:04):
It does leave that you know ability, but still I
mean it was clearly to me.
Speaker 2 (23:08):
So there's still a chance for yes, Sam, there is
a chance.
Speaker 4 (23:13):
What do you think is the most common type of
question that is asked of AI, specifically chat GPT.
Speaker 2 (23:20):
What's the easiest way to make a million dollars?
Speaker 3 (23:23):
Actually?
Speaker 4 (23:23):
No, the most common category of question is health related.
Speaker 1 (23:28):
Oh, that makes total sense to me, and I've actually
done that when I had the whole nosebleed thing going
over the holidays.
Speaker 3 (23:34):
It will happen.
Speaker 1 (23:35):
Yeah, but they're really all of them, not just chat GPT.
All AI is now saying I'm not a doctor, so
you need to consult the medical professional. Here's a little
bit of information, but that's it.
Speaker 2 (23:47):
Well.
Speaker 4 (23:47):
Open ai has launched chat GPT health. Oh, because they
get two hundred and thirty million people a week asking
health questions of those chatbots. So it's called chat GPT health.
I can't believe you haven't seen it yet. It keeps
the health questions separate from your other chats.
Speaker 1 (24:05):
Okay, it's smart and easier to keep up with.
Speaker 4 (24:08):
One of the most important headlines here, though, is that
open ai says they will not use health questions to
train its models.
Speaker 3 (24:16):
Do you believe that?
Speaker 4 (24:17):
I mean everything they're doing is training, isn't it. Well,
I'm instantly training itself.
Speaker 1 (24:21):
Yeah. I mean I could see the reason why because
there could be garbage questions in there, meaning like questions
that don't make sense that the model can't necessarily say, well,
this is not real, or they've misquoted the prescription drug.
Speaker 3 (24:33):
Or you so right, Okay, Murphy, you're right.
Speaker 1 (24:36):
It's probably about correct data.
Speaker 3 (24:38):
Okay.
Speaker 4 (24:39):
See you use AI, you told us yesterday in the
after the show podcast you used it to help organize
your workload.
Speaker 1 (24:46):
Well, it helped me distressed before trying to figure out
how to and it was accurate information with.
Speaker 3 (24:50):
Such a good after the show podcast.
Speaker 4 (24:51):
By the way, if you feel like you have too
many tabs opening your brain and too much to do
on a to do list, Murphy's way.
Speaker 1 (24:56):
I actually asked Jim and I a medical question about
itcryption drug, and it actually refused to give me an answer.
You know, it said, yes, this exists and it can
be you know, but I'm but you know, I'm not.
I'm not equipped to give you medical advice. Consult a physician. Wow, Okay,
that's good.
Speaker 4 (25:13):
That seems like somebody is regulating something in Ailands I'm
robot somewhere. The company also stresses it's not intended for
diagnosis or treatment. It is not supposed to replace medical
medical care at all. It's just supposed to help you
navigate your health questions and your health information, which what
sounds like happened with you with Gemini anyway.
Speaker 3 (25:34):
It's called chat GPT health.
Speaker 2 (25:36):
What about the million dollar question?
Speaker 3 (25:38):
Good luck?
Speaker 1 (25:38):
Give it a shot.
Speaker 4 (25:39):
Sam love having you along, join the conversation any time
eight seven seven three one zero four MSJ. You can
also email us, which Ginny has done. Guys, Ginny is
a nurse. Hi love your show. Heard the story about
your dog and oxy codone. That's Sparky. That's our little
(26:00):
little bitty dog who has some heavy drugs.
Speaker 1 (26:03):
Oh, that's right. When we were on vacation. She had
heard us talking about.
Speaker 3 (26:06):
All right, right, we have the good stuff.
Speaker 2 (26:09):
He's got.
Speaker 1 (26:09):
He's got the trachia that kind of you know, collapsing
collapses and all that good stuff.
Speaker 4 (26:13):
Yet and the doctor, the vet prescribed oxy codone for
this dog. I went all around town trying to find it.
It's not easy to find in liquid form. We got
it for him, and it's on a shelf. We haven't
really ever given it to him, but in case he
has the collapsing trachya problems, we have it to use.
Speaker 2 (26:29):
They don't make doggye oxy codone, right, that's regular.
Speaker 3 (26:32):
I don't think.
Speaker 1 (26:33):
I have no idea it's regular. He has those started
to try to hit up a bunch of pharmacies. It
could be a problem here.
Speaker 2 (26:39):
We got to watch out for dog scams.
Speaker 4 (26:41):
I've heard sent this love your show, heard the story
about your dog and oxy codone. As a hospice nurse,
we use morphine and oxy codone to help with breathing. Yeah,
it relaxes the airway some to help air flow in
and out more easily. It's a daily occurrence having to
explain that, understand that understanding to families. Since it's a
(27:03):
its main purpose is for pain. But she's saying, they
explain it all the time that it's for airflow, and
that's probably why it was prescribed. Possibly the same for
dogs why it was prescribed. Please don't worry. Even if
he doesn't feel like he's in pain, it may help
him breathing.
Speaker 2 (27:17):
Okay, we have not had to use it.
Speaker 1 (27:19):
Thank you for the clarification on that. It's interesting because
he kind of goes in and out of that. He
hasn't had any issues. He's not even been coughing lately.
Speaker 3 (27:25):
Have you noticed that, But he hasn't been getting cigarettes anyway.
Speaker 4 (27:31):
Thank you for that, Jinny. I really love knowing this.
It wasn't explained.
Speaker 2 (27:35):
Yeah, so that I have a comment here from Tissia
about micro weddings. Oh yeah, and then she said, regarding
micro weddings, my sixty two year old husband has a
saying the bigger the wedding, the shorter the marriage.
Speaker 4 (27:51):
Well, micro weddings are in is why why she's saying that.
Speaker 2 (27:54):
He loves to point this out When it happens to
be true.
Speaker 1 (27:59):
I'm gonna have to think about that because you know,
I guess I have known some big weddings.
Speaker 3 (28:05):
Ended in divorce.
Speaker 4 (28:06):
Well, any wedding can in a divorce. It doesn't mean that,
you know, having a big wedding means that.
Speaker 2 (28:12):
But I thought you were going to say, just look
at Sam.
Speaker 1 (28:14):
No, I wasn't going to say that to your weddings
did become progressively small, but with.
Speaker 4 (28:19):
The same alcoholic exactly, Tishaw Jenny, thank you joining the
conversation anytime.
Speaker 3 (28:28):
Sam'scott Music News and we are going.
Speaker 2 (28:30):
To get to Bruno Mars brand new song that dropped today,
that's going to be coming up in just a sec.
But first I want to get to a couple other things,
because there is another new album coming from mister Luke Combs,
like My Kind Of Saturday. Well boys, he announced March

songs on his It is all the stuff you've heard
in the past year days like these fifteen minutes giving
her Away. That's all going to be on there, including
the one everybody's been dying to hear, Sleepless in a
Hotel room. So March twentieth for it, that one. And
you know, you may have heard that MTV canceled pulled

the plug on all their music channels at the end
of the year on December thirty.
Speaker 3 (29:19):
First, and fans were upset, are upstands.
Speaker 2 (29:22):
Were upset And Jody you had mentioned that somebody set
up this site called MTV rewind.
Speaker 4 (29:26):

It's not MTV, but it's fair and they.
Speaker 2 (29:30):
Even say they have a disclaimer on there and that
we're not associated with MTV or Paramount or any of those.
We're just fans. This site is so cool. You have
access to thirty three thousand music videos that were on MTV.
You can go in there and just hit shuffle and
it'll just start playing videos. I mean, you got access
to Michael Jackson's Thriller if you want.
Speaker 3 (29:51):
Even the long version. Huh.
Speaker 2 (29:52):
Yeah, you can go on there and say I want
to just listen to the eighties and click the eighties

Speaker 3 (30:17):
I guess it can't get pulled huh by MTV or Paramount.
Speaker 2 (30:20):
I guess if they want to, they can, but I mean.
Speaker 3 (30:23):
Why would you. Okay, can we please get to mars?
Speaker 2 (30:26):
A new song dropping today it's called I Just My.
Speaker 3 (30:36):
I've missed him so much.
Speaker 4 (30:37):
It's got that classic Bruno sound, Yeah, sure does, which
is a classic sound.
Speaker 2 (30:41):

out February twenty seventh. He's announced the Romantic Tour, Anderson
