Speaker 1 (00:02):
A lot of fun for you this morning.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
But before we get started, I do want to say
I love everybody on social media.

Speaker 1 (00:09):
It's a lot of fun.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
But with the snapchat switching the male and the female faces,
just stop it.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
Come on, it is so disturbing.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
It so drives me crazy. Joe, and I saw myself.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
I didn't do it.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Our our oldest tailor did it with Murphy or Beautiful
as a lady by the way, thank you very much.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
I thought the same, almost decided to use it as
my profile pic.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
I look like something that would have been kicked out
of a trailer. I mean a truck trailer at a
truck stop. And I can't say that kind of I wouldn't.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
I look like a hicic with this long mullet.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
I look like somebody with a long mullet and some
bad decisions.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
It's horrible.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
Yeah, I don't like it.

Speaker 4 (00:59):
I had the long hair too. I did like my eyebrows.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
Man those sah, did you do it with your daughter?

Speaker 5 (01:04):
Maddy?

Speaker 4 (01:04):
I did that myself. How did you do it yourself?
I turned it.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
You look at it and you should shoot a selfie.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
Oh wait, so it super imposes on a generic photo.

Speaker 4 (01:15):
It's in Snapchat. I held it up, I shot myself.

Speaker 3 (01:18):
And yeah, but I mean, but how does it turn
you into a woman if you haven't taken a picture
of somebody else.

Speaker 4 (01:22):
It's a filter. Yeah, it's a filter.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
Okay. See I didn't know that. I thought you were
when you said you did that with Maddie, when Taylor,
when Jody said that, I thought that meant that, you know, yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:30):
Made female and male switching.

Speaker 4 (01:31):
How they shot the picture of me that looked like
a baby. Yeah, yeah, it's like, okay, now we got
to stop doing it. And yeah, I thought, I think
stop now. I'm hopefully these things are quick. Chad producer, Chad,
you have.

Speaker 6 (01:42):
Some Yeah, Sam posted his picture on our Facebook page
and we had quite a few people share theirs. And
I didn't notice. The way that it works is that
there's about four or five stock male female. They superimpose
on your face. I guess they pick which one, base
wise looks most nice. So I saw a lot of
repeats like.

Speaker 4 (02:04):
I had tough take out too on Facebook, trying to
figure out who was who looking at all those pictures.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
Something wrong. It's just weird to me. I'm ready for
the next thing.

Speaker 3 (02:15):
That's why it goes viral.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
Uh huh, okay, just stop, that would be great, all right?
Coming up, I can't believe I've never shared this with
you guys and with everybody, but I'm going to one
of Murphy's best kept secrets, something that he does better
than anybody else I've ever encountered in my life. Keeps
it all to himself at home, but no more. We're
going to share that with you.

Speaker 5 (02:36):
On the way with Murphy's Sam and Joy.

Speaker 4 (02:40):
I'll tell you why my mom has decided she doesn't
want to use the Mother's Day gift I gave her.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
Oh sorry, Sam. Coming up next, first Hollywood Outsider of
the Morning. Was there really another Game of Thrones mistake?
In the other the episode?

Speaker 7 (02:54):
On the way Jodie's Hollywood Outside, Sam, I know you
heard the story about Star Wars Galaxy's Edge having a
four hour rule for when it opens a Disneyland.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
Here's every Star Wars story before we do.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
Right at the end of this month.

Speaker 4 (03:10):
Because you're supposed to reserve. It's not like you can
just walk up and go in Galaxy's Edge to buy
a ticket for it, or reserve a time to go
in and then you've got four hours in there, and
then you've got to get out.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
Two things I want to say here for anybody outraged
by this. Number One, it's only for a limited time
because eventually the world will be like, Okay, I've seen it.
It'll always be busy, it'll always be a hit. But
when it first opens is when it's madness.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (03:36):
Number one, I even saw a meme for it. It says,
now entering Florida Galaxy's edge line right here.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
Right, why would you need to spend any more than
four hours?

Speaker 1 (03:44):
That was my second thing? Isn't four hours of anything?

Speaker 3 (03:48):
Yeah? Anything?

Speaker 4 (03:48):
Well, you know you're talking Star Wars, and because it's
the popular new thing, everybody's going to be crammed in there,
so that means the lines will be huge, and.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
There you may be waiting in a line for one
Disney person.

Speaker 8 (04:00):
Let's it takes two hours to stand in line anything. Okay,
it's gonna be a problem. You get to ride two
rides and then a stortrooper is going to show up
and say we're still.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
Gonna okay, well, and if you don't want to leave,
guess who's going to escort you out?

Speaker 1 (04:16):
Stormtroopers?

Speaker 4 (04:18):
Yeah, The funny thing is storm Stormtroopers in the movie.
You're like, come on, you know, and here it's Disney,
so it's gonna be well, would you like to.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
Let the two finger rule with pointing anyway?

Speaker 2 (04:30):
You know there are people who are going to want
to to stay longer than for just so a stormtrooper
can exit them out. Yeah, I mean she said that's
a stormtrooper. Yeah, dude, Okay, we'll see how that all
goes down. That one opens in disney Land May thirty first,
so it's it's it's almost here Disney World in August exactly,
all right. Game of Thrones, yes, it's true. They had

(04:50):
another one little edit problem and there was so much
going on. I didn't see it now. I haven't gone
back to watch the episode from the other night. I
won't do anything that would spoil anything for you. But
the character Jamie Lanister, you know, his right hand is
a golden hand. Yes, and in one at one scene,
apparently he's hugging someone, his hand grew back ha ha

(05:12):
ha oh one little one more their oops. I guess
there are people who are watching this for mistakes.

Speaker 4 (05:20):
I get that, okay, but it's like, come on, it's fun,
enjoy the show for what it is. Quit looking for
the nipple.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
I wish people could.

Speaker 3 (05:27):
Yeah, you know, I mean the thing is, they probably
have to work so hard on the edits that anybody
would miss something like that, even a gold hand or
a call look.

Speaker 1 (05:36):
Out like a sore thrum or a gold hand.

Speaker 9 (05:39):
Murphy, Sam and Jody, you are a Hollywood insider.

Speaker 4 (05:42):
Coming up next. I did give my mom something for
Mother's Day. Hey, Sam, However, she has informed me that
she doesn't want to use it.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
Oh oh out, I'll let you know what it is.

Speaker 3 (05:54):
And we're big believers in fun before, during, and after,
so that means after the show, podcast fun more fun
than you can enjoy after the show and only online.

Speaker 4 (06:04):
I forgot to tell you what I got my mom
for Mother's Day. You know, we went to visit and
I didn't wasn't really planning on getting her anything.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
Yeah, that's okay.

Speaker 3 (06:12):
Well, when Sam brings something that usually is one of
those white what you're doing this for?

Speaker 10 (06:16):
Right?

Speaker 4 (06:17):
Yeah, you have to give me nothing?

Speaker 1 (06:19):
Okay.

Speaker 4 (06:19):
So in fact, when we went to get Hamburgers because
Parker wanted Hamburger's, she wouldn't let me pay. She gave
the lady her card when we walked in and said,
don't take his card and don't give that back to him.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
Ah, so.

Speaker 4 (06:34):
You're in a fight with mom and mother you can
have a register.

Speaker 1 (06:37):
Let her do, Let her be.

Speaker 4 (06:39):
So you know how I have that tendency to order
things that pop up in my feed? Yeah, Sam, Well,
I was sitting there just minding my own business and
ancestry dot com. The DNA test popped up on my
feed and I was like, you know what, Mom would
like that because she's always talked about her crazy family
from Germany. Okay, you know. And so I was like,

(07:01):
I got it and I shipped it to her and
she said, wow, she'd either get it today or she
might have got it yesterday. I don't know. So you
and it's the one where you swab your thing, you
stick it in the envelope and send it off and
they sew her back.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
Okay, so she starts.

Speaker 4 (07:13):
I told her. I was like, look, this is coming,
so look for it in the mail. Don't throw it
away because it's for you. Sure, what do I need
that for? I was because it's cool. It tells you
where you came from. Well, I no, I came from Germany.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
She can't rattling off.

Speaker 4 (07:27):
German names of you know, family members, and it's like, yeah,
I know that, mom, but you don't know where else
you came from, exactly what's in your DNA.

Speaker 1 (07:34):
You both are this way. You have gift hurdles.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
Whenever she got you an instant pot for Christmas, you
deflated her balloon immediately.

Speaker 1 (07:42):
I don't want that you did the same thing to her.

Speaker 4 (07:45):
Tody says, those are no good So I think I
may have. I mean, because if it would have come
before I got there, I would have swabbed her mouth myself.
He held her down and swabbed her. But I was like,
just and well, how long does it take to get
back to me? I was like, I don't know. You
didn't care a second ago.

Speaker 3 (08:05):
All the novels is sworn off By this point, it's
like forget it thrown away.

Speaker 4 (08:11):
So I don't know. Whenever I find out anything, brother,
than does it for your saying, well, you know it's
gonna be I already know see I that it says
eighty five percent German. I told you that.

Speaker 3 (08:21):
Well, or if she doesn't want to use it, you know,
I give it to your brother. Maybe we can finally
find out where he came.

Speaker 4 (08:27):
Because I know where he is at her house.

Speaker 9 (08:30):
Coming up next with Murphy, Sam and Joe.

Speaker 1 (08:32):
Do we love to hear from you.

Speaker 2 (08:34):

one zero four MSJ.

Speaker 11 (08:55):
I love listening to your Guys show. Well, thank you
that my daughter enjoys listening to your show.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
How old is she?

Speaker 11 (09:02):
She'll be four months old next Thursday.

Speaker 1 (09:03):
Oh wow, it's.

Speaker 11 (09:06):
Actually a little fussy right now because I shut the
radio off so I could call.

Speaker 1 (09:09):
Oh, we'll turn it back on. You can't have fussy
four month olds. The time flies, It so flies.

Speaker 11 (09:16):
It really does. It's amazing to me that four months
ago today she was still am abelly and now she's
growing way too fast.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
Oh yeah, are you getting any sleep?

Speaker 11 (09:27):
A little? She usually sleeps through the night.

Speaker 1 (09:29):
Okay, fingers crossed. You know it'll change.

Speaker 4 (09:32):
Oh yeah, well I'm.

Speaker 11 (09:34):
Ready for the backwards cycling.

Speaker 1 (09:36):
Yeah, what's her name?

Speaker 11 (09:38):
Vanessa?

Speaker 1 (09:39):
Pretty?

Speaker 4 (09:40):
I heard her?

Speaker 2 (09:41):
Yeah, I heard her. We'll turn the radio back on
for Vanessa.

Speaker 3 (09:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 11 (09:44):
Absolutely, Thank you guys.

Speaker 3 (09:45):
A great thank you, Grace. We appreciate the call. Hey, look,
and you know Jody and I are girls, are teenagers,
and they still don't sleep.

Speaker 4 (09:52):
The nights through. Yeah, Hollis, my grandson just made two
months sold over the weekend. Yeah, he's sleeping six and
a half hours at night. When when Sammy told me
told me that, I was like, what, all right, that's
not fair.

Speaker 1 (10:09):
Are you kidding?

Speaker 3 (10:10):
It's still eight weeks in. You know what I'm saying.
The next round is teething. That'll change all that.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
But I don't remember six hours until at least two years.

Speaker 1 (10:19):
It felt like.

Speaker 4 (10:20):
Funny Murphy, you saw them like me, Yeah, we'll give
it time. They're teething water, they're driving something.

Speaker 1 (10:27):
There's something about you, if you've been there, that you
have to explain. The pain is coming.

Speaker 2 (10:32):
Thank you so much, Grace. Eight seven seven three one
zero four m s J to jump in anytime.

Speaker 9 (10:38):
Show me up with Murphy, Sam and Jody Murphy.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
I'm gonna tell Sam in the world one of your
best at home secrets, because I think everybody could benefit.
I didn't realize that great better at this than any
person I've ever encounter.

Speaker 3 (10:53):

and all that fun. Oh and we also have a
YouTube channel. You can subscribe that to subscribe away.

Speaker 2 (11:09):
Okay, I want to tell one of Murphy's best kept secrets.

Speaker 3 (11:14):
I mean, I have no idea what this is, and
I'm getting excited.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
You should. This is high.

Speaker 2 (11:18):
This is a high compliment and you'll know where I'm
going as soon as I start to tell this story things.
One thing we started to do now that we moved
into the new house is that we're having Sunday morning
coffee because there we moved closer to a bunch of friends.
So it's like, if you want to come over and
you can be there at nine and we have coffee.
Every time we've done it so far. I start cooking
up eggs and bacon, and so the other day on

(11:41):
Mother's Day, it was like, who wants egg?

Speaker 1 (11:43):
What kind of eggs you want?

Speaker 2 (11:45):
And our friend David said scrambled please, and my brain
went Dan Murphy makes the best scrambled eggs. I cook
everything else, but when a scrambled egg is called for,
he gets to work, and you make the best scrambled
eggs ever.

Speaker 3 (11:58):
Thank you, But I'm not going to tell my seat.

Speaker 1 (12:01):
Why don't we share? Like, why don't we share your method?

Speaker 3 (12:05):
Yeah, I'm judging joke last night. I actually I don't
think it's anything.

Speaker 1 (12:09):
You really do make.

Speaker 2 (12:10):
And I love scrambled eggs, but when it's when I
want some, I don't try to make them myself.

Speaker 1 (12:14):
And I can do anything in the kitchen.

Speaker 3 (12:15):
But yeah, I mean the secret itself, it actually has
nothing to do with ingredients. But I mean I'll tell
you how I make this.

Speaker 4 (12:21):
Is it love? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (12:22):
That is love?

Speaker 4 (12:23):
Sound Wait?

Speaker 1 (12:25):
Can I take a guess here?

Speaker 3 (12:27):
Sure? Yeah, take it off the heat almost you're actually close.
But I mean to me the secret to that, well,
first let me tell you what I put them in.
Then I'll get it.

Speaker 1 (12:35):
That So all I do is seven out of time, right, Yeah, I'll.

Speaker 3 (12:39):
Do six or seven at a time, A little bit
of salt. People who don't do salt that I get
it doing. Put it in there. But I stretch it
with water nut milk. That's one and a lot of
restaurants do that too. You stretch it with a little
bit of water. And then I like real onions, but
the kids don't, so sometimes a little bit of onion powder.

Speaker 4 (12:54):
But that's it.

Speaker 3 (12:55):
I keep it simple. You can season it. I treat
eggs a way I treat meat. Let the people you
know who eat it season it to taste right. But
the one thing that I do when I cook it
is I don't ever let it brown. You keep it
moving in the skillet, and you do not let eggs
burn or brown. I mean and when I said browning's
not burning, but to me, that changes the flavor. I
don't like the smell it creates in the house. So

(13:16):
when you do ads, they don't get brown.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
They're fluffy, they're perfect.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
And then a lot of times you didn't do this Sunday,
but you just it's cheese on top.

Speaker 1 (13:26):
They're delicious. So they're the best.

Speaker 2 (13:29):
And I think we should put the method on our
Facebook on our Facebook game website.

Speaker 3 (13:32):
Yeah, and you have to put a lot of air
at them too.

Speaker 4 (13:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (13:34):
I don't mean blowing, I mean you know, yeah.

Speaker 1 (13:36):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (13:37):
Whisk them for a long time. So there you go.
Go get Murphy's method. I think they're the best ever
Murphysamon Jody dot.

Speaker 5 (13:43):
Com coming out, you're a Hollywood actress.

Speaker 2 (13:47):
Felicity Huffman was in court yesterday and got really honest
about what she did in that college admission scandal.

Speaker 12 (13:56):
Jody's Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 1 (13:57):
Did you hear about Felicity Huffman and Core yesterday?

Speaker 4 (14:00):
I know she was supposed to be in court.

Speaker 2 (14:02):
Okay, So actress Felicity Huffman. You may know her from
Desperate Housewives.

Speaker 4 (14:07):
She is a usc college scandal.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
Right the college admissions scandal. She broke down in a
courtroom yesterday when she admitted to paying fifteen thousand dollars
to get her daughter, Sophie Grace, to get her SAT
score boosted, and she was crying and through tears explained
that her daughter has suffered from learning disabilities her whole
life and she was just trying to do what she

(14:32):
could do. And this is her statement to the court.
She said this, I am in full acceptance of my
guilt and with deep regret and shame over what I
have done. I accept full responsibility for my actions and
will accept the consequences that stem from those actions.

Speaker 4 (14:48):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (14:49):
See that's as good.

Speaker 4 (14:50):
That's she's taking care of business.

Speaker 2 (14:52):
It wasn't overly and it wasn't blamey. You know, she
just threw that out there and that's and the word
is prosecutors are recommend that she spend four months behind bars. Yeah,
she said to be sentenced September thirteenth, So it sounds
like she's got a long summer ahead to wait and

(15:14):
figure that out. And you know, not everybody's in court
at the same time. There's too many people to sentence
here and to you know, get the verdicts and all
that kind of stuff come down.

Speaker 4 (15:22):
So interesting to see how somebody like, okay, her sentence compares.

Speaker 2 (15:26):
To she did anything wrong.

Speaker 1 (15:30):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (15:30):
Moving on ABC American Idol, the new renewed American Idol.
It's been you know, renewed for a third season. It
be the third time around. But according to Variety, Katy Perry,
Lionel Ritchie, and Luke Bryan may not return.

Speaker 4 (15:44):
Yeah, they're still negotia right now.

Speaker 2 (15:47):
So because they're looking to cut costs because it's a
very costly panel they've got there leading the way, Miss Perry. Yeah,
million or something something serious like that. So they're coming.
We just don't know who it'll be. And maybe it'll
be fun again to put to spice it up again, right,
all right? Coming up in your next Hollywood outside of

(16:08):
this morning around seven fifty five k Goslin is back.
You're gonna like that, Sam, And Game of Thrones gets
a full documentary on the final season, Murphy.

Speaker 9 (16:18):
Sam and Jody, you are a Hollywood e sider.

Speaker 3 (16:23):
Almost the middle of May. I can't believe it. Seems
like we were just doing It's gonna be May, and
now tomorrow's the middle of the month.

Speaker 1 (16:29):
Truth be talld and you know fifteen.

Speaker 3 (16:32):
There's no other no IDEs of May, right Sam?

Speaker 4 (16:34):
I think there are in the fifteenth on eydes of
every every month.

Speaker 3 (16:38):
I don't know, Oh is it? But now you're getting
all technical? Okay, who knows?

Speaker 1 (16:41):
I only thought about it in March. Okay, you know
this time of the year or too.

Speaker 2 (16:45):
I love the energy of May is so exciting if
you're a school kid or a teacher. Yeah, because there's
no month it's counting down more maybe December for reasons
we know, But in May you count down to that
last bell, do you not?

Speaker 10 (17:02):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (17:02):
It's so exciting, it's so but you also have to
get over finals first. You know, if you're a high
school senior, you're probably done by now.

Speaker 3 (17:10):
Get so nervous with finals.

Speaker 1 (17:15):
And rightly so.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
You know, our kids where they go to school, both schools,
they have days we Phoebe calls them. They call it
I'm a dead day where they just study to school
and you just study that. I don't remember that in.

Speaker 3 (17:27):
My I don't think that either.

Speaker 1 (17:29):
Put on a movie that was a dead day.

Speaker 3 (17:33):
I did have something called cram Night. Yeah, those were
in college. I had a lot of those.

Speaker 2 (17:38):
Anyway, coming up, we do want to hear from you
into the school year. You know, we've already already talked
about great teacher gifts and teachers love gift cards and
you can get the five most loved gift cards for
teachers at Murphy Sami Jody dot com. But we want
to hear from you today and the rest of this week.
Tell us the stories about the teachers that really brought
it for you and your kids this year. We want

(17:59):
to hear those stories. Let's celebrate teachers this week. Okay,
eight seven seven three one zero four MSJ.

Speaker 1 (18:06):
We will do that. Coming up.

Speaker 5 (18:08):
Yeah, Sam has music news you know what.

Speaker 4 (18:10):
New Ed Sheer and Justin Bieber song. Yes, well the
internet has already found some plagiarism problems with it.

Speaker 3 (18:16):
Well that course that didn't take long, did it. And Lee,
he's already standing by eight seven seven three one oh
four MSJ. End of the year in school teachers, Lee,
were coming to you next.

Speaker 2 (18:28):
This is your chance this week to tell your little
or big teacher stories at the end of the school year.
Here in what ways has a teacher rocked your kid's
life or your life in general? Eight seven seven three
one zero four MSJ.

Speaker 4 (18:42):
How are you Lee?

Speaker 6 (18:44):
Good?

Speaker 1 (18:45):
Sweet?

Speaker 13 (18:45):
Were talking about first grade teachers.

Speaker 1 (18:47):
Yeah, oh yeah, they're so important.

Speaker 4 (18:50):
Yep.

Speaker 13 (18:51):
My first grade her name was Miss cheatam.

Speaker 10 (18:55):
Old.

Speaker 13 (18:56):
Yeah, and six years ago I went there at funeral.

Speaker 1 (19:00):
Oh of course you did see. That's how impactful she was.

Speaker 13 (19:05):
And she was a very special person because she's the
only one that had faith in me.

Speaker 2 (19:10):
When you're a kid, you believe what the adults around
you say about you.

Speaker 13 (19:14):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (19:14):
So what specifically did she do?

Speaker 5 (19:17):
You know?

Speaker 13 (19:18):
Other futures would go, well, I don't know want him
in my task because he's too unruly, you know. He
has a short attentions fan. Yeah, he doesn't you know
what he's spoke to.

Speaker 1 (19:27):
Yeah, and you're hearing all that.

Speaker 13 (19:29):
It's fine. She said, instead of going to this class,
you can just stay in here with me. I mean,
we ate lunch together. When we went out to playground,
she went up to the playground with me.

Speaker 1 (19:40):
Wow, above and beyond.

Speaker 13 (19:42):
You kept saying, she kept saying. She says, don't please.
She says, one day you'll make it. You'll be all right.
I love it, ye, And I'm grateful for her every day.

Speaker 3 (19:51):
Thank you, Lee.

Speaker 4 (19:51):
We appreciate the car.

Speaker 1 (19:52):
Oh my gosh, love it.

Speaker 3 (19:54):
I mean, I hope everybody's fortunate to have that one teacher.
I mean, I know I had one or two that
were like that. Then, really, they take enough of an
interest in you, and they believe in you for whatever reason,
they see that potential there that they want to grow.

Speaker 2 (20:06):
They help you believe in yourself because when you're a kid,
the way adults treat you is how you see yourself.

Speaker 1 (20:13):
It's so important.

Speaker 4 (20:14):
When I was in fourth grade, that was my last
year of public school. I was going to be going
to a private school. And even though I was smart, Yes,
I'm sorry, but I tested genius, but that was in
fourth grade, not now. My fourth grade teacher was like, well,
you need a you're going into this place, so you
need to beat beef up on your math and your

(20:35):
science skills. And she would give me books to take
home and write do extra stuff so that when it
came time to test to get into the school, I
was ready to go. She was with me.

Speaker 1 (20:43):
Yeah, she didn't have to do that.

Speaker 2 (20:44):
That was extra love it We are celebrating you teachers
this week, or students, grown students, or students right now,
let us know about those teachers that need that little
shout out love eight seven seven three one zero four
ms j oh Yeah.

Speaker 5 (21:00):
Sam has music news.

Speaker 4 (21:02):
Yeah, Ed sheer and Justin Bieber songs only a few
days old. I Don't Care apparently I don't care. They've
been accused already of plagiarizing the song. Of course, I'll
share the different songs for you.

Speaker 5 (21:18):
Sam's got music News.

Speaker 4 (21:19):
At the end of last week, Ed Sheeran and Justin
Bieber released their released their new uh song together called
I Don't Care.

Speaker 11 (21:25):
I Don't Care.

Speaker 4 (21:28):
From the Angry Birds to soundtrack that's gonna be coming
out in later on this summer. This is our second
big collaboration. Right well Ed has written a couple of
songs for just I Love Yourself.

Speaker 2 (21:40):
You know, I don't think they've sung together on a
song before him release one already.

Speaker 4 (21:44):
We didn't make it through the weekend really before a
bunch of internet.

Speaker 1 (21:48):
Trolls, Okay, the words trolls.

Speaker 4 (21:50):
We're saying, hey, they stole this song because it sounds
like this song by Cheryl called I Don't Care. So
here's what's Cheryl Cheryl's song. And Cheryl, by the way,
is one name. It's like cher and Madonna got it.
She's a British singer and the song is called I
Don't Care. From twenty fourteen. Here is.

Speaker 1 (22:12):
You know, Well, here's a new Sweat.

Speaker 4 (22:14):
Do the Ed Shearon went again there I don't I
don't hear it musically no sane three word.

Speaker 2 (22:23):
Yeah, saying three words don't matter, Ed Shearon doesn't need
to steal music. He cranks out songs well like sort
of like Taylor Sweat.

Speaker 3 (22:31):
I think what they say is it sometimes just done well,
it's not done on purpose. It's because you've thought or
you've heard about in the past, right exactly, it's just
kind of comes out crazy.

Speaker 2 (22:41):
This whole trend of this is my If it's obviously stolen,
it's obviously stolen. If it's similar, that doesn't mean anything.

Speaker 3 (22:48):
Yeah, but if it's similar, there are a lot of
cases where it's been split because you kind of can't prove,
you know, intent, the one song didn't influence the other. Yeah,
he's also got that jury trial coming up on whether
or not he stole for thinking out loud, Marvin Gaye,
let's get stop it.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
By the way, first time I heard of Cheryl just saying.

Speaker 4 (23:03):
Yeah, she's got such popular hits as I don't care.

Speaker 1 (23:06):
Yes, she does.

Speaker 4 (23:07):
Also, you know, we have a Laddin coming out at
the end of the month and new live action version. Now,
if you remember, there's a version in the movie. But
Disney also does that thing where they get the big
stars to record the song on a soundtrack back Yeah,
back then it was Pebo Bryson. So it's in the
movie again this time around. But they got Zane from

(23:28):
one Direction and the female named Zavi a Ward to
do it.

Speaker 1 (23:32):
Oh it's the same, yes and nice yeah, and they
won the Oscar back in ninety two for it.

Speaker 4 (23:43):
So with any lock though, they'll that might be the
first time the same songs won the AUSUM.

Speaker 9 (23:48):
That would be interesting, Yeah, Murphy, Sam and Jody Music
News coming up next, more of your teacher stories.

Speaker 1 (23:56):
We're gonna let you celebrate teachers.

Speaker 2 (23:58):
Tell us those little and big stories about you know,
the ones that made a difference in your child's life
this year. Jamie coming to you next eight seven seven
three one zero four MSJ. Inviting you to join us
this week and tell us your teacher stories as we
wrap up another school year. What did a teacher do
for you or your kiddo that you know just rocked

(24:20):
and made the year great? Eight seven seven three one
zero four MSJ and Jamie, what you want to turn
the tables a little bit?

Speaker 1 (24:27):
You're a teacher.

Speaker 10 (24:29):
I recently lost my mother on the twenty first.

Speaker 1 (24:32):
I'm so sorry, and.

Speaker 10 (24:34):
My kids have just been so wonderful about writing me
cars the letters and telling me how much they appreciate
me and how sorry they have been for my law
and the cars have been really deep in thought and uh,
it's just really made seems so much easier and thanks
my day when they do something like that.

Speaker 1 (24:54):
What grade do you teach?

Speaker 10 (24:56):
I teach fourth grade?

Speaker 2 (24:58):
Oh yeah, I have a question. Since you teach fourth grade,
do you and does this happen a lot? People who
you taught will come back to visit.

Speaker 10 (25:06):
You all the time.

Speaker 1 (25:08):
And do you love that or do you feel like
you know you need to move on?

Speaker 13 (25:12):
Kid?

Speaker 1 (25:13):
I'm serious.

Speaker 10 (25:14):
I love it because it's an affirmation that you impacted
somebody's life.

Speaker 4 (25:21):
Yes, I love it.

Speaker 10 (25:22):
When they connect to say I'm so glad you taught
me this because I use it all the time, or
it's something I teach my child. That's just an affirmation. Yes,
I did something. I did what I was.

Speaker 11 (25:32):
Supposed to be doing.

Speaker 5 (25:34):
Right.

Speaker 2 (25:34):
All of us at some time have wanted to go
back and visit a teacher or his school just because
it's a part of you.

Speaker 4 (25:42):
You know.

Speaker 2 (25:42):
I think it's a compliment, but I mean, I guess
if you did it a ton, yeah, it would be
like you need to live in the present, don't you
have a job?

Speaker 1 (25:53):
I did it once right after high school. I went back.

Speaker 2 (25:55):
I had a friend who was still in high school
and I had graduated the year before, so I went
to see her. Their quotes, I really kind of wanted
to be back at my high school for a short
few I remember that it was nice, but then I realized, oh,
it's awkward because I'm supposed to be moving on.

Speaker 10 (26:13):
The hard part is sometimes I don't recognize them.

Speaker 1 (26:16):
Yeah, sure they've gotten you.

Speaker 10 (26:17):
Know, ten inches taller, and you know, they're so much
older that I have a hard time recognizing. Tuesday, say
their name, I know immediately who it is.

Speaker 1 (26:26):
Right, that's awesome.

Speaker 10 (26:27):
The way they happen, or the way they say something,
I know exactly who it is.

Speaker 1 (26:31):
Yay, I love that. Well, I'm so sorry for the
loss of your mother.

Speaker 10 (26:36):
I appreciate this.

Speaker 1 (26:38):
I know you only get one mom, right. Thank you
for calling us, Jamie, I appreciate you.

Speaker 13 (26:43):
Oh, thank you.

Speaker 4 (26:44):
Thanks for all you do is teacher.

Speaker 2 (26:46):
Yeah, keep your teacher stories coming. All you know this
week as you wrap up the school year. Eight seven
seven three one zero for Ms j.

Speaker 1 (26:57):
Sam. You know Murphy well you know, well, you knew
him longer than me.

Speaker 3 (27:01):
Yeah, before Jody and I got married, Me and Sam
knew each other very well, inable, in fact, exactly, I
couldn't tell us a part.

Speaker 2 (27:09):
Sorry about the intrusion, Jim, Well, so you know that
when he Murphy decides to do something, get out of
his way.

Speaker 1 (27:16):
He does it right then and there, no matter what.

Speaker 2 (27:20):
You know, that can be something small like we're late,
but we're going to stop at the store real quick
for this or or whatever.

Speaker 3 (27:26):
Isn't that weird? It's a weird paradox because I know
I can be scattered, But when I'm focused, Boy, am
I focused? I know to the I mean, I don't
hear or see anything around me.

Speaker 2 (27:35):
So last night, I'm trying to take really good care
of myself and go to bed at a decent time,
the kind of time I should be going to sleep,
given our early morning schedule, and the girls are getting
ready for bed, and all of a sudden, I hear
all these bells. And I'm not talking about King's landing bells,
doorbell door bells like somebody was over the door and

(27:58):
over again and so and then I hear my name, Jody.
Can you come do something for me, Come test something
for me? Last night, when I'm trying to go to bed,
is the time to test the doorbell and install a
new what do.

Speaker 3 (28:13):
You call the thing? Is? It's not new? The little
nest hello thing that I installed at the old house. Well,
I wasn't gonna leave that at the old house. It's mine. No,
but I mean I like it. Once you've had that,
you kind of get spoiled on that being at the
front door.

Speaker 2 (28:26):
So since we had a pirate call on ours the
second day, we had at the old house.

Speaker 3 (28:30):
So I disassembled it and I put the old doorbell
back in. I mean, it was seamless at the old house.
This was like a twenty minute process. Man, it couldn't
have been smoother. We get to the you know, the
house we've just moved into, and it becomes really complicated
because it's a really old house. And the way they've
got it wired is I kept pushing the button and
I would under the wires and I kept hearing a

(28:52):
bell go. It's like it's completely disconnected, and it's like,
how is this possible. It's because after all of that,
I mean, I would get up on the ladder, I
nscrewed it, moved wire.

Speaker 1 (29:07):
Vacation National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation Yes again.

Speaker 3 (29:09):
Yes, yes, okay. And then finally it's like, okay, where's
that noise coming from? We realized it was a different room.
There's a second doorbell in this house.

Speaker 1 (29:18):
Come back.

Speaker 3 (29:19):
So I spent all of this time trying to get
this thing attached, and so I had to go put it.
I had to attach it to the other doorbell to
get it to work. So Jody was trying to help
me narrow it down. And of course that's what when
I woke up, everybody trying to get that done.

Speaker 2 (29:30):
Yeah, sound of cozying and trying to get a good
night's sleep right there.

Speaker 3 (29:33):
But guess what was it was functioning before we went
to bed, Well before I went to bed.

Speaker 4 (29:37):
The doorbell. That's right.

Speaker 1 (29:38):
They asked case anybody showed up at one.

Speaker 5 (29:40):
Am coming up.

Speaker 2 (29:41):
Jody, you're a Hollywood for Game of Thrones fans, We're
gonna let you know what HBO has planned for you
the week after that finale.

Speaker 12 (29:51):
Jody's Hollywood outsider.

Speaker 2 (29:53):
Even if you're not a Game of Thrones fan, you
need to know that after this coming Sunday Night's final
episode ever of the show. For the next Sunday, HBO
is doing something called Game of Thrones The Last Watch.
They had a separate full filmmaker to do a documentary
on the full last season, everything from writing it to

(30:14):
the table reads to producing it, which is an very
interesting behind the scenes thing.

Speaker 4 (30:20):
This is strange here we are at the last table read.
It's like looking around and seeing your family.

Speaker 5 (30:29):
It's our biggest season ever.

Speaker 2 (30:31):
Every episode has as much in its as one feature film.

Speaker 5 (30:34):
It's like, oh my god, what was I thinking?

Speaker 4 (30:38):
Winter is coming?

Speaker 1 (30:39):
Huh huh.

Speaker 2 (30:40):
Is a lot of people you know who this is
They had a chance to work on this, whether you know,
being a part of the set, being a stuntman, who
was you knowed how to catch on fire for camera?

Speaker 4 (30:52):
Well, you know, the night King is a stunt man, right,
They tried him out and it worked, and it's like, okay, well,
we mean you're great.

Speaker 1 (30:58):
Yeah. Can you imagine changed their lives?

Speaker 2 (31:01):
And the reason I'm saying that is, even if you're
not interested in the show, it's going to be fascinating
to watch the behind the scenes of this. So of
course HBO is not gonna give it to us first
because we have to have that last episode to see
what happens one. So the other episode, this coming Sunday night,
is the final final episode. Ever, then you get a
week to breathe and complain. Everybody wants to complain. It's like,

(31:25):
I'm not upset about it, and then how you want
I saw a coffee cut in and how you want
I saw a real hand. It's called Game of Thrones
The Last Watch. It will debut on Sunday night, May
twenty six, and they'll probably be there for quite a while too.
It's gonna be one of those things that you're gonna
want to consume and maybe show your friends.

Speaker 4 (31:42):
Oh that's Memorial the weeknd it is.

Speaker 1 (31:44):
To kick off summer. Winter will be over by then.
Get Sam.

Speaker 2 (31:47):
I wanted you to know that Kate Goslin is coming
back to TLC for a new series. I know you
always liked her Kate plus eight. You liked her haircut.

Speaker 4 (31:54):
I remember her haircut.

Speaker 1 (31:56):
Okay, Well, she's.

Speaker 2 (31:57):
Forty four years old now and they're gonna do Kate
plus date. Kids are grown up. Let's see if she
can find some romance. Look for it on else.

Speaker 4 (32:06):
See about John Goslin, any word on him.

Speaker 2 (32:09):
They're divorced and happily divorced, as I understand. Coming up
in your next Hollywood Outside of This morning around eight thirty,
Felicity Huffman in court yesterday, pleading guilty, and she's being
very honest about what she did in that college admission scandal.

Speaker 9 (32:23):
Murphy Sam and Jody, you are a Hollywood insider.

Speaker 3 (32:29):
Come have some fun with us after the show. A
brand new episode every day of the Murphy Sam and
Jody After the Show podcast. And of course there's anything
you miss here on the show show, then well that's
also on the podcast.

Speaker 2 (32:39):
I brought something today for you, Sam that I spotted
and you've done this a lot.

Speaker 1 (32:45):
It's so cute.

Speaker 2 (32:46):
Whenever you know, Sam shops and finds new chips or
whatever that we all want to try, or oreos whatever.

Speaker 1 (32:53):
We do a lot of that.

Speaker 3 (32:54):
That's funny. After all I did for Mother's Day weekend.
She doesn't bring me anything this morning.

Speaker 1 (32:57):
Sayay wait, you already got your did bring you one?

Speaker 2 (33:03):
You were like nah about it, but you did get
it first. Oh, I just don't know what I'm doing.

Speaker 1 (33:08):
Sam.

Speaker 2 (33:08):
I brought you to Mayo, some Hines, Mayo Mustard saucy sauce.
It's called saucy sauce.

Speaker 4 (33:15):
Yeah, they're all called saucy sauce.

Speaker 3 (33:17):
I didn't know that, James, All about these men mixed.

Speaker 4 (33:19):
I got the Mayo Chop, I have the Mayo Q
and I have the cranch collect them all.

Speaker 2 (33:23):
So this is the final at the grocery store that
had it, so I thought, I'm buying too one for
our family because my r Phoebe, our fourteen year old,
thinks it's the greatest thing she's ever had at a
friend's house and.

Speaker 3 (33:35):
Take you and I mean it's when what heines makes
is great. But I mean I have the mental thing
about I can mix these together, you know what I mean.
I don't have to have it combined in one. And
what if you actually want mustard and know mayo, you
can't take the mustard at the mayo when the maos
mixed with the mustard.

Speaker 4 (33:51):
I U when the first when I first heard about
Mayo chop, It's like, seriously.

Speaker 1 (33:55):
Yeah, I can't we all just do this?

Speaker 4 (33:56):
But I have actually used it, and I know it
would only say me ten seconds, but there's time. The
kids don't care, you know, if they want want man,
it doesn't ketch it. Oh great, here you go, man.

Speaker 1 (34:06):
It hasn't ketchup ten seconds?

Speaker 4 (34:09):
What you know? You know what they think It's funny though,
is whenever we have something like French fries, I'll put
all of these on the table.

Speaker 1 (34:14):
I don't know what to do.

Speaker 4 (34:15):
They start laughing at me.

Speaker 1 (34:16):
It's like a sauce party.

Speaker 4 (34:17):
Why do we need all of these?

Speaker 1 (34:18):
Anyway?

Speaker 4 (34:19):
I need these?

Speaker 2 (34:20):
You know, I haven't tried it yet, but you Murphy
made a turkey sandwich with it with some Mayo must
on it Maya mustard condo was great.

Speaker 3 (34:27):
Well, you were like, I mean, well, I mean I
didn't put I didn't overload it, so I mean I
didn't saturate the sandwich with it. Murphy was like, man,
I get it. With Sam's point here is if you
make three sandwiches a day, you save a whole half minute.

Speaker 4 (34:38):
Yeah, okay, so that builds up after.

Speaker 1 (34:40):
A while, so enjoying. If you feel like, bring you
some fries in, we'll all play.

Speaker 4 (34:45):
Well if I bring fries in, it's not bring it all,
bring it all with that, but you could use it
for that.

Speaker 3 (34:49):
I get to see that probably is those mixes make
good dips too. Yeah, now I'm on board.

Speaker 1 (34:54):
Yeah, especially the cranch secrets out. Murphy makes the best
scrambled eggs ever.

Speaker 3 (35:02):
You don't think you're just biased because you're my wife
on Jody.

Speaker 1 (35:06):
Yeah, does it matter?

Speaker 2 (35:08):
You make really good scrambled eggs, Thank you, And so
I thought we should share that, like your method with
the world. So go check it out on our website,
Murphy saman Jody dot com and your method being well.

Speaker 3 (35:18):
Producer Bailey nailed it earlier, right, I mean when he
said it's just about you know, basically not over taking
them off the heat. Yeah, I mean to me, and
scrambled egg goes from great to uh oh.

Speaker 4 (35:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (35:28):
You got to remember the eggs are cooking when they're
not on the actual stove.

Speaker 3 (35:31):
Right, yeah, And so by the time they brown, there's
too problem. Mean, one of them is a personal hang
up of mine because I just have an aversion to
that smell. Once it starts to brown and burn on
the pad. I don't know what the deal is with that.

Speaker 1 (35:41):
So stretch it with a little water.

Speaker 3 (35:43):
Stretch with a little water, which also keeps it from
burning too fast, by the way, I think that's it.
But that also really allows you to get air into
it when you're whiskey, right, and just a little bit
of salt. You know, if you do real onions and
your kids are great, that's the way I prefer it.
But we also do just a little bit of onion powder.

Speaker 1 (35:58):
But then the rest of them they taste great with
onion powder.

Speaker 3 (36:00):
I don't overdo it because I want somebody else to
be able to seize it to their taste.

Speaker 1 (36:03):
Yes, they're so good, enlightened, happy.

Speaker 3 (36:05):
And I used to do them in a ton of butter,
but I don't do that now.

Speaker 1 (36:09):
You can do them in a little butter from time to.

Speaker 4 (36:11):
Time, but I used the spray bacon. So funny. I
know you said this is Murphy's secret, but I kind
of He's discussed this before amongst us, and so actually, Murphy,
I've been using your secret family for about two years now.
I was always a milk person with scrambled eggs. I
a little milk in there and do it. That's why

(36:32):
I was taught to and I would get brown eggs,
I mean just a little brown. But when I started
using the water and keeping everybody moving, it's like it's
so fluffy. The kids love it.

Speaker 2 (36:43):
So my is it my brother that suggested that to
you once? He worked in a lot of kitchens and
restaurants and he said, don't don't mix it with milk
de water.

Speaker 3 (36:51):
It was Joey's brother is the one that taught me
that trick.

Speaker 2 (36:54):
It's super cool, a kitchen trick like restaurant kitchen tricks.
That made it to our house and they are good.
Go get Murphy's method best scrambled egs ever at murphy
Samonjody dot com. Coming up your Hollywood Actress Felicity Huffman
was in court yesterday and got very honest about her
part in the college admission scandal.

Speaker 1 (37:14):
We have that for you.

Speaker 12 (37:15):
Next, Judy's Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 2 (37:19):
Actress Felicity Huffman was in court yesterday in Boston and
broke down. While she admitted to paying fifteen thousand dollars
for her daughter for her SAT scores to be boosted.
She also mentioned that her daughter has suffered from learning
disabilities throughout her life and that's just a mama trying
to help push that along. But her statement was that
she's in full acceptance of her guilt, deep regret and

(37:42):
shame over what she's done, and she's ready to accept
full responsibility and will accept the consequences.

Speaker 4 (37:47):
Well, she pleaded guilty, so lead she's getting it done.

Speaker 2 (37:50):
Those consequences will come in September when she is set
to be sentenced, and prosecutors are recommending she spent four
months behind bars. She is Felicity and famously married to
William H. Macy, who was also again not in court with.

Speaker 1 (38:07):
Maybe she's like, I don't want to look at you.
Stop it.

Speaker 2 (38:10):
Who knows what that really means? The last time though,
he was at the mall while she was in court.

Speaker 9 (38:15):
Murphy, Sam and Jody, you are Hollywood sider.

Speaker 2 (38:21):
Sam, you're telling us earlier that your mom, you know,
is not going to use your Mother's Day gift of
her the DNA kit.

Speaker 1 (38:27):
But she doesn't. She didn't need to know that.

Speaker 4 (38:29):
Because she knows where she's from.

Speaker 1 (38:31):
Right.

Speaker 2 (38:34):
I forgot to shout out and also mention that Murphy
gave me not only like the day Saturday to do
whatever I wanted, and then Sunday took me to my
mom's house and hung a bunch of pictures for her,
which is enough. He also had a bag full of
my favorite things and he gave it to me on
like Sunday morning, all this lavender stuff.

Speaker 3 (38:54):
So I'm like, you know what, keep it simple, Get
lots of.

Speaker 2 (38:56):
Lab lavender spray, lavender hands sanitizer, and we're talking about
real essential oil and then the actual bottle of essential
oil lavender. It is crazy good, so crazy good. I
haven't decided yet whether to put any in my shampoo.
But I'm thinking about it.

Speaker 4 (39:12):
Oh yeah, is that what you do with that?

Speaker 1 (39:15):
Or do you do anything with that? Drop it on
your sheets and stuff? Now I put it in a diffuser. Yeah,
is lavender in the room.

Speaker 2 (39:21):
You can also do drops of it if you want,
in a load of laundry, you know, while the water
is air freshener.

Speaker 3 (39:28):
And you know what. The other thing about lavender, it
was Frank Sinatra's favorite Senka.

Speaker 4 (39:36):
I see Murphy's motive here.

Speaker 1 (39:37):
That's right, So you my favorite.

Speaker 4 (39:40):
So you gave it to your name for.

Speaker 1 (39:43):
Anyway, it was awesome.

Speaker 2 (39:45):
It was a cool thing Murphy too, because you had
a theme gift going and dudes don't always do that.

Speaker 1 (39:52):
Well, played.

Speaker 5 (39:55):
Sam's Got music News.

Speaker 4 (39:56):
Mick Jagger, Remember you had the heart surgery last week?
So I remember emergency heart surgery that canceled their tour
and their appearance at jazz Fest.

Speaker 1 (40:04):
Do tell what's up?

Speaker 4 (40:05):
Apparently his doctors say he's now one hundred percent. Really, man,
he's ready to go. He's already been out and about,
seen around doing things that aren't too strenuous, and the
doctors are crediting his right his healthy lifestyle. Well, we're
not talking about Keith Richards here.

Speaker 2 (40:24):
It's right, Mick Jagger may have had led up a
healthy life. I'm sure twenty years.

Speaker 3 (40:29):
Look, I mean he's he's thin, he moves around like
crazy on stage. Yeah, right, he probably eats well. I
mean he's probably.

Speaker 1 (40:35):
Smokes anymore either.

Speaker 4 (40:36):
They said that his healthy eating and his the fact
that he does exercise and have a regular regiment nice
what's got him able to bounce back and he's ready
to go. As far as that, the tour was supposed
to kick off last month, they canceled everything and they
have not yet rescheduled when they're going to make up
all the dates they were waiting for. This obviously, step
one is he had.

Speaker 3 (40:56):
To get him up on the pavement again.

Speaker 4 (41:00):
So now he's one hundred percent ready to go. Now
they just need to check on.

Speaker 9 (41:03):
Keith Murphy, Sam and Jody Music News.

Speaker 4 (41:10):
