Speaker 1 (00:02):
First full week of June. Wow, boy, this year is
kind of flying.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (00:06):
This is the midway point sixth month. Yeah, okay, well
at the end of the month, yes, professor, is you're right.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
In a few weeks the days start getting shorter.

Speaker 3 (00:16):
That's right, technically, Okay, to start Monday. I want to
bring this right in before we get going. I saw
this last week and I'm thinking, yes, I'm going to
do this more in my life because I want to.
And it's lovely. Fresh flowers in the house, in your
home actually reduce stress, less, pain and anxiety for people
who are recovering from surgery, you know, like you bring

(00:38):
somebody flowers in the hospital, or you send them flowers.
They've actually done research on it. It actually does make
them feel better, less anxious, happier. And you know what,
in the times that I remember or somebody brings fresh
flowers to the house or I get flowers, Oh my gosh,
it really does work.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
So what is that? Is it connecting with nature or
is there something chemical is going on.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
Or probably all of that. It's just beautiful. There's something
about it that's you know, flowers, they're beautiful. They don't
want anything from you. They don't beep. You don't need
just to move them.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
Well, girlfriend, I'm kind of a poster child for that.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
I know it's sam because you.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
Keep fresh flowers in your house regularly.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
I love fresh flowers. Really yeah, I buy it.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
Pig them up at the grocery store every week, right exactly.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
I pick them up and when they start to start
pedals start falling off, they go and I get another one.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
So how many a bunch?

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Because some stories I'll sell them in a bunch. Other
stores they sell many bunches. So you can mix and
make you and make your own bunch and bouquet. And
the thing is too here's a little trick. Don't just
like cut the stent the bottoms off and stick them
in a glass, separate everything, and then you put them
in individually.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
That way, you you're arranging flowers, you arrange it.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
The way you want it, and you can have you know,
like blue yellow blue, not all yellow on one side
and blue. You can arrange everything and put what you
want where you want it.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
Do you do that before or after you arrange your
power tools?

Speaker 1 (02:06):
So do you have just one arrangement there or do
you put them all over the house.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
I usually just have one big one.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
I love the big arrangement.

Speaker 2 (02:13):
Either keep it in the kitchen behind the sink, or
put it on the table, depending on if the kids
are there. Not the kids are there, I'll put it
on the table so we all enjoy it.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
They do make you happy, gorgeous.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
I mean, I like plants overall. The problem is we
have trouble keeping them alive in our house, Jody. You know,
but no we don't.

Speaker 3 (02:29):
Every plant we've had for the last several years is
still alive in our house. We have a greenhouse window.
Now our plants are alive.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
Yeah, that's three plants. Six okay six plants.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
The other three they're just around where Murphy doesn't notice
him because then't have chords coming out of them. He
doesn't notice them.

Speaker 4 (02:47):
Thanks coming up with Murphy Salmon, Jody.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
First Hollywood Outsider of the Morning is next.

Speaker 5 (02:55):
Jody's Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
Before we get to how much the world loved rocket
Man at the box office, we'll do that in the
next Hollywood Outsider. You guys know that Stedman was on
with Ellen on Friday and Murphy You're gonna love this,
not because you call him mister Winfrey. Hah. I'm sure
he's never heard that.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
I don't even actually half what is his last name?

Speaker 3 (03:17):
I know his last name. I can't believe you just
asked me that. Do you know his last name? Graham?

Speaker 2 (03:23):
Graham?

Speaker 3 (03:23):
Okay, Stedman Graham boyfriend, longtime boyfriend to Oprah Winfrey. They've
been together since the eighties. He also he's got his
own thing. Okay, he's a leader, he's like an investor.
He's got companies, and he's written a new book. Anyway,
I'll get to the book. But first, of course, he's
sitting now with Ellen, and she starts picking out him

(03:44):
because they live in the same community, Monacito, California, where
they filmed Big Little Lies. They lived there, and she
saw him in the grocery store, and so she's like,
starts to pick on him about it.

Speaker 2 (03:55):
It was great to see it.

Speaker 4 (03:56):
It was good to see you.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
I was surprised that you were eating a little snack.
Oprah claim that she loves to cook.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
And bake for you, and that you were buying like
a store bought bake good.

Speaker 6 (04:06):
Don't tell her, well, you know, she's first of all,
she's a great cook. She loves to be able to
go out and cook whatever she wants to coach. She's
kind of natural. It's a beautiful thing.

Speaker 3 (04:16):
Right, but you were a store buying some other stuff. Anyway. Anyway, anyway,
he was promoting his book. You'll love this, Murphy. It's
why I bring it up just for you. This one
identity leadership. To lead others, you must first lead yourself.
This is what his book is titled. And what's a while.
So she's asked him to explain it to well.

Speaker 6 (04:37):
Identity leadership is self leadership, and it's based on the
philosophy that you can't lead anybody else until you first
lead yourself. So it really is focused on self mastery,
self efficacy, self empowerment. And it's the greatest thing I've
discovered for myself to be able to work on myself
so I could define myself as opposed to having the
world define me.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
You have to have the part where he looked over
and it isn't that right, Oprah.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
Okay, stop it. He would be the master of this
because the world defines him as Oprah's boyfriend, when when
in reality, you are not kidding.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
He's really He's probably had to work really hard for
his identity because he's always been publicly speaking.

Speaker 3 (05:16):
At how people know him. A lot of men might
be intimidated by that. He seems totally fun with it
all right, coming up in your next Hollywood outside of
this morning in just a little while, how the world
loved or didn't love Elton John's biopic Rocketman, Murphy, Sam.

Speaker 5 (05:32):
And Jody, you are, Hollywood eider.

Speaker 3 (05:37):
So much summer fun online for you, Like the taste
of summer recipes. We stand by every single recipe on
that post. We do, we do, We've made them. They're delicious. Also,
this one's near and dear to my heart. How to
help a turtle across across the street if you so
choose to like.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
That is funny. It's just where did this even come from?
Like Fishery, I know where the info came brow saying
that it's something I would think about every day.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
Summertime, turtles get more active because it's warm and they
start coming out, and you know, they try to cross
the street in our crazy, busy world. Maybe you want
to help them, so get that at Murphy Samonjody dot Com.

Speaker 4 (06:13):
Murphy Sam and Jody twenty more hour Voice.

Speaker 3 (06:15):
Now all right, let's dig in, guys. I think we
miss some calls this weekend.

Speaker 7 (06:18):
Hi, I'm calling about helping turtles across the road. I
tried to help turtle cross the road one time, and
I swear to you, I have never seen a turtle.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
Move that fast.

Speaker 7 (06:29):
That turtles went right down into the river. It was
the most hilarious thing I've ever seen because I've been
chasing it across the road for ten minutes. That a
wonderful day, Thank you.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
And I've never had that happen. I've never encountered a
really fast turtle.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
I have a couple of times. And that's what surprises
me about him, because you always hear turtles are extremely slow.
But anytime that I've ever tried to walk up to,
you know, a turtle, he gets out the way nice.
They move pretty quickly.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
It's funny we're talking about the turtles again because I'm
turtle sitting this week from my neighbors. I forgot that
your neighbors have a turtle. Yeah, they have Big Thomas,
the giant tortoise. Yes, I think he's like twenty something
years old.

Speaker 3 (07:06):
Now, now, aren't you scared of him?

Speaker 2 (07:08):
Oh no, he's.

Speaker 3 (07:10):
I thought you were scared of him biting you.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
No, he just sometimes he'd come after you. But I
mean he's he's.

Speaker 3 (07:15):
A turtle and you've got lettus or whatever you do.

Speaker 2 (07:17):
You feed him, let us they have cucumbers, bell peppers
and all that. You just chop up a bunch of
it and leave him a salad in the yard.

Speaker 3 (07:23):
Nice.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
You just sit there and eat it.

Speaker 3 (07:24):
And that's so cool.

Speaker 1 (07:26):
Say he moves fast though.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
Every now and then he'll come after you fast. And
he's got two dogs in the yard with him, and
sometimes if they come near his food, he'll go after them. Sure,
good for him, but fast to a turtle is not
dot fast.

Speaker 3 (07:41):
Please shoot some video of him this week. I love him.
Oh yeah, excellent.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
It will be silent video because he doesn't talk.

Speaker 3 (07:47):
Okay, you can talk through it. You'd give us a
play by dormas. All right, Look, we love hearing from you.
Thank you for the message. Call any time to join
us eight seven seven three one zero four MSJ.

Speaker 4 (07:58):
Coming up next with Murphy, Sam and Jody.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
So I got a bank alert over the weekend, was
tied to Jody's credit card, and I'll tell you what
I found out. So last week Jody made Sam. Remember
she told us a little surprise was coming on Friday
last week.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
New Coke.

Speaker 3 (08:16):
Yeah, it's gonna come sometime this month.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
Because you ordered some for us online? And is that
the only place that you can get it?

Speaker 3 (08:23):
You can, yeah, the Coke store whatever.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
Yeah, and you have to buy Stranger Things stuff in
order to get to the.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
New Coke, right, because New Coke and Stranger Things partnered
because of this, you know, New Coke is featured in
season three. Here they are by the pool, bad Boy
Billy walking out and the mom swoon afternoon Billy did
the Wheeler?

Speaker 2 (08:45):
Thank you?

Speaker 3 (08:46):
I like miss Wheeler too, Yeah, Miss Wheeler's lovely.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (08:49):
When they New Coke showed up and that trailer landed
a couple of weeks ago, that's when Coke announced that
they're going to bring back New Coke for a limited time.
And I thought that meant in the stores, but it didn't.
Dug deeper and you had to order online at the
Coke store, you get We've get a couple of Stranger Things,
limited edition bottles and things like that of Classic Coke,
and then I think a six pack of regular. I'm

(09:10):
a six pack of New Coke and I want to
taste that again. I had it once once in nineteen
eighty five, and I liked it because it was sweeter
and I was a kid.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
Well, I'm glad that you ordered it, and I didn't
tell you this last week. You were surprising it with me,
and you were trying to surprise me, Sam, I told you,
But I got I got an alert on my credit
card because there was a charge, and then the charge
was dropped, and then another charge, and then the charge
was dropped off, and then one march more charged for
the same thing. I'm like, what's going on. It would
have to make the bank alert me.

Speaker 3 (09:41):
I told you what happened.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
It should have you should have known right away. Murphy
Jody's online again.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
Well, and I didn't think somebody was trying to scam
me for seventeen bucks, you know.

Speaker 3 (09:51):
But well, first of all, it shouldn't have been charge charged.
It shouldn't have been three times. It should have been twice.
One that was one then was declined, and then one
that accepted. This is not a jokey thing.

Speaker 1 (10:05):
Oh that's right, And I bet you I know what
the problem is. Yeah, this is because we moved. We moved,
and the addressed out of the credit We're figuring these
out as we go along, I hit.

Speaker 3 (10:17):
Proceeded check out. It's like, the zip code that you've
put in here does not match with the one for
the credit card. I'm like, oh, that's right, because I
put my new address in and we haven't switched the
credit card moved.

Speaker 1 (10:30):
When you move, you've just kind of discovered those things.
You think you've changed all your addresses and you haven't.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
So good credit card company check checks analysis.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
I guess Jody would have been in a fix if
I would have said, well, you know, I did change
the address.

Speaker 3 (10:45):
Yeah, I hope, I hope we get it, you know,
without another oops. Because that is what happens when I
order online. There's always something.

Speaker 4 (10:54):
Coming up next.

Speaker 3 (10:55):
It's the producer's nailed.

Speaker 8 (10:56):
What do we have on the way, Bailey, Well, Jody,
for you and Murphy, there's some Facebook questions about how
you're spending your personal time with all the kids out
the house.

Speaker 3 (11:04):
Now, reach out to us anytime and let's connect on
Facebook or Instagram.

Speaker 4 (11:12):
It's done for the producer's nail down.

Speaker 3 (11:14):
What do we have today, Bailey?

Speaker 8 (11:15):
Oh, well, Judy, last time or last week on Facebook,
you continued the Bearded Dragons saga. You posted a picture
on Facebook.

Speaker 3 (11:24):
Yeah, patio time. Sometimes we bring the bearded dragons out.
Are both of our girls, Taylor and Phoebe have a
bearded dragon? Yes, And I brought them out to the
patio because honestly, the girls are so busy. Phoebe was gone,
Taylor was gone to New York before that. I'm in
charge of feeding the dragons and taking care of them.
I don't think they should be in their terrariums all day.
I like them to get out a little bit.

Speaker 2 (11:46):
When they're outside. Do they snag at bugs?

Speaker 3 (11:49):
No, No, they're so enamored with outside. You know, it's
so different everything around them. They're just they're almost shine
reserves first.

Speaker 1 (12:01):
Well, probably because you know they're originally from the deserts
of Australia. They're looking for sand. Yeah, they have a cactus.

Speaker 3 (12:07):
Okay, so what do we have in the mailbag bay.

Speaker 8 (12:09):
Well, the majority of the comments are just saying they've
gotten way too big.

Speaker 2 (12:13):
Not too big, but they're huge.

Speaker 3 (12:15):
They're they're big. I mean they are adult bearded dragons now,
and especially Ogie, he is so fat. I fed him
the other day. I threw in twelve worms and he
ate them before I could, before I could get the thirteenth.
I was gonna give him a Baker's dozen, you know,
And and then he was just standing there at the
glass looking at me, like, where's the rest? Lady?

Speaker 8 (12:35):
Seriously, Well, Teresa says, my daughter brought home two from
school for the summer.

Speaker 1 (12:41):
Once.

Speaker 2 (12:41):
Uh yeah, she just said once. Our cat is definitely
not a fan.

Speaker 3 (12:46):
Oh wow.

Speaker 1 (12:47):
Well, we're very careful around the dogs, you know what
I mean, because they're they're a little too interested in them.
I don't think they want to harm them, but they're
they're much bigger, you know, they just kind of don't
match up.

Speaker 3 (12:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (12:56):
Yeah, And Stacey has a question, so how fat star
are they? Obviously it's different from a dog, And yeah,
the dragons can climb and get into small spaces and
all kinds of things, right, yeah, Like do you watch
them like a hawk when they're out of the cage.

Speaker 3 (13:10):
I totally do. The picture I posted Nugget is on
a pillow on my lap, and then Ogi was right there.
I keep them really close when they're outside, because the
dogs are around and they stay really chill for a
long time and still, and you can get complacent and
start looking at your magazine. And then once they decide
to dart, they boogie.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (13:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
Didn't you lose one once in the house?

Speaker 3 (13:33):
Yeah, I did. He was pretty little. That was when
Nugget was little and he went under, of all places,
a rocking chair, and that was bad, and I found
him just in time before we sat down to rock.

Speaker 1 (13:45):
They're fast enough to spend a lazy suason. We've seen
that happen too. It's like running on a treadmill.

Speaker 3 (13:49):
Oh cool, yeah, cool. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (13:51):
I reach out to us anytime. We love to hear
from you. It really is our favorite thing on Facebook, Instagram.

Speaker 2 (13:55):
Of course.

Speaker 1 (13:55):
You can call or Texas at eight seven seven three
one zero four, MSJA coming up.

Speaker 5 (14:01):
You're a Hollywood center, Jody's Hollywood outsider.

Speaker 3 (14:08):
Kind Of a little shake up at the box office
this weekend, not really what I expected. I totally expected
Elton John's biopic Rocketman to be number one.

Speaker 5 (14:16):
Yeah, there are moments in a rock stars life.

Speaker 3 (14:19):
A lot of talk about it. I haven't seen it yet,
but I do know that it is a musical fantasy
based on his life. So it's not just it's not
your typical you walk in there thinking, oh it's a biopic,
but it's a musical fantasy. I'm one of the biggest
stars of Rocketman. Apparently to everybody who's seen it, be

(14:40):
out the next level outrageous costumes like you know, and
that's who he was.

Speaker 2 (14:46):
Oh yeah, that was Elton in the seventies.

Speaker 3 (14:48):
So look for that. I'm really hoping and planning to
see it this week. It came in at number three
this weekend at the box office. It Aladdin is hanging
in at number two and number one. I just don't
get it. But Godzilla number one this weekend, forty nine million.
That's not Marvel big, but it's big. And Millie Bobby

(15:11):
Brown is in Godzilla. And I will tell you this,
but last week when all these movies debuted, you know,
Taylor are oldest who works at a movie theater, had
the opportunity to one night go see, you know, the
early premiere of either rocket Man or Godzilla. And I
knew she was gonna see rocket Man. Yeah, she comes
home Godzilla? What it was? Godzilla? I think it was

(15:33):
all of her friends were watching.

Speaker 7 (15:34):
You know.

Speaker 2 (15:35):
When I saw the preview for this before a movie
a couple weeks ago, It's like another Godzilla.

Speaker 3 (15:40):
I'm now for a new generation. Sam perhaps for a
new generation. Quickly moving on, I've got some Sopranos news,
not about the upcoming prequel movie which they are filming now,
but the early days of Tony Soprano. But this is
just too fun. The home used in the show Sopranos,

(16:00):
which you love. The home. It's practically a character because
in the beginning he drives to the home. You see
a lot of the home. It's actually they really shot
in a home. It's on the market starting price three
point four million, one point five acre property. Only four
bedrooms in there, and that makes sense. Two garages and
a detached guesthouse. Tony Sopranos, everything buried in the walls

(16:22):
is on the market. Probably so coming up in your
next Hollywood outside of this morning around seven fifty five,
everybody's losing about losing it about Robert Pattinson being Batman.

Speaker 5 (16:33):
Up to date with Judy's Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 1 (16:39):
I hope you had a great weekend.

Speaker 3 (16:40):
You know.

Speaker 1 (16:41):
I don't know why I'm always hung up on being
productive as opposed to relaxing over the weekend.

Speaker 3 (16:45):
But that's that's my personality type Murphy. That's okay.

Speaker 1 (16:48):
Maybe it's because what we do, we do here all
week long that I've you know, the only time we
have something to do at home is Saturday and Sunday.

Speaker 2 (16:55):
I've started getting up early on the weekends, yes, Sam, Yeah,
like six thirty seven is because it's one of those
if I'm going to get up and have as much
weekend as I can possibly get.

Speaker 3 (17:07):
I believe in that too, because whenever I do sleep
in too late on the weekends, I feel more sluggish anyway,
and like I've wasted my time, my beautiful, precious free time.
And sleeping late till six or seven on the weekend
is already much later than we normally. Yeah. Yeah, so
it's it's already given time.

Speaker 2 (17:24):
You can always grab a quick little nap at some
point too. Over those two days.

Speaker 3 (17:28):
Murphy sleeps a little bit later on them.

Speaker 1 (17:30):
It's better to get out in the yard when it's early.

Speaker 2 (17:31):
Like that too. The productive thing I did this weekend
was involved my mailbox. I had to take care of
some wasps in my mailbox.

Speaker 1 (17:40):
That always freaks me out. That's speaking me. It's just
hearing you say that.

Speaker 3 (17:44):
That's a bad place for a whip.

Speaker 2 (17:46):
Well, okay, I have a mailbox that's like it's on
a stand and it's a big black box, and so
you have to open the door and stick your hand
in to get the mail. Yeah, and it's about this
time every year that it happens.

Speaker 1 (17:55):
Well inside the mailbox, yesh.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
The worst. You open the door and you stick in
in and get the mail, and all of a sudden.

Speaker 3 (18:02):
That would only have to happen once for me to well,
I don't want to kill them. I would have called
you or get them out of there, because I'm not
gonna do it. I'm talking to get the mail.

Speaker 1 (18:12):
I've had them under the mailbox before, but never in
the now They're always in the mailbox. In fact, it
likes to be a perfect time for me to get
the ring doorbell so I could see just how much
of a fool I am across the street when I
open up the box. I mean, I do not mean
to sound stupid, but where's the hole that lets them
inside the mail open?

Speaker 2 (18:29):
It's got a little the little slit where the carrier
pushed the mail in. That's where they're getting in. And
then the box itself has it's kind of like a
roof on it, and so they get up in under
the roof. Yeah, and so any disturbance. They go nuts,
and so I had to get out there with the
old can of.

Speaker 3 (18:46):
Instant kill and did it work? Did they?

Speaker 2 (18:50):
It works? But I mean give it a few weeks
and there's more wasps. It's a fun summer.

Speaker 1 (18:54):
You know what I mean. There's got to be some
trick or something maybe you could put in there to
keep that from happening. Ours closes completely, so they don't
don't worry about I'm inside. But man, you're right about
worry about underneath.

Speaker 3 (19:02):
We have a little roof. We don't have a little
roof though, Yeah, all right, won't be checking your mail
for you when you're on summer vacation.

Speaker 2 (19:09):
You use that foot spray, yeah yeah, stuff shoots straight
out in the stream.

Speaker 3 (19:16):
We got our FEBI back yesterday after. It was a
big deal Sam for me and Murphy and our whole
our family to me because this was the first time
she'd ever been away from home for this long. She's
not one to be away from us for much more
than a sleepover. And she was gone. I did the
map four nights, yeah, four nights, five days, and it

(19:38):
was significant and at one point in the middle of it,
right in the smack dab middle of the trip on
the phone with her, I could hear homesicknessness, like that's
a real sound to a mother. Yeah, And I did not.
I didn't, you know, I didn't play it a big deal.
I didn't try to make a big deal of it

(19:59):
because you know, you're I can't come get you at
this point, you're not coming back, you know, change the subject,
not really change it, but just comfort her and talk
and we had she had she did have a lot
of fun, so it was well, that.

Speaker 1 (20:11):
Was I think she got over that hump, you know
what I mean. You kind of figured that day was
coming and then it was just But once she had
that moment, she was great right the time. Every time
we talked to her.

Speaker 3 (20:19):
She was at war with herself about it a little
bit because she wanted to do this trip. One of
her best friends in the world, a great family that
she's very comfortable with. Yeah, but it's about being away
from us for that long. So she sort of conquered
that and it was really fun. And since her sister
Taylor had gone to New York the week before and
brought souvenirs, she comes home a bunch of the souvenirs

(20:40):
so cute. But she had a very different trip. So
Mabe was in like little small towns, you know, like
a road trip, and they were antiquing. So I got
some incredible lavender soap and a really cute and I'll
post on our Facebook page a really cute tea cup
with the word mother on it and in this beautiful
art and she said it was made and occupied Japan. Oh,

(21:03):
and it is beautiful. It's special and I'm going to
drink coffee.

Speaker 2 (21:06):
That's cool that she checked on that.

Speaker 4 (21:07):
I do know.

Speaker 3 (21:08):
That's the story of it.

Speaker 1 (21:10):
Isn't that crazy. I got some sweet potato and pecan butter.

Speaker 2 (21:14):
Yeah, use it yet.

Speaker 1 (21:16):
No, I'm actually going to eat it later today.

Speaker 2 (21:19):
I can't.

Speaker 3 (21:19):
There are leftover biscuits in a zip like bags there
no far from yesterday.

Speaker 1 (21:23):
So yeah, I was just gonna eat it straight out
the jar.

Speaker 3 (21:26):
Of course, you get your knuckles in it. The sweetest
actual moment though, when we finally got our back, we
did a hundred hugs last night. It was so sweet, honestly,
was when Taylor got home from work and they were
in the same room for the first time. It was
just a cute little I can't describe the facial expressions
of them having not seen each other for five six days,
five days. It was cute and once Taylor was home,

(21:48):
she was fine. She's one hundred and ten percent back
to normal.

Speaker 2 (21:51):
Good.

Speaker 4 (21:52):
Yeah, Sam has music news.

Speaker 2 (21:54):
You know Taylor Swift is doing the Cat's Broadway musical
turned into a movie. She's actually doing some original music
and that'll tell you about that. Coming up next.

Speaker 4 (22:05):
Sam's got music news.

Speaker 2 (22:06):
Oh we all know that te Swizzle and Jay hud
Taylor Swift and Jennifer Hudson are working on the Cats movie.
This isn't either one of them. It's just a classic
Cats song.

Speaker 3 (22:17):
This movie comes out in December. It's going to be
different obviously than the stage production of Cats, in that
everything's gonna look big except the cats. The cats are
going to be the size that cats would be. And
then ooh there's a refrigerator, and ooh there's a dresser,
and there's a person supposed to be kind of like that,
so different.

Speaker 2 (22:34):
Then they have to go to Cat's school too to
learn how to behave like a cat. Yes, can't wait,
But Taylor Swift its Melbourne announced that Taylor and Jennifer
are actually doing original songs. In the movie as well.
In addition to the cats songs that you Broadway got it,
they're going to be doing their own stuff as well.
I don't know if Taylor's writing her own soft or

(22:56):
of Andrew Lloyd Webber is gonna work with her since
he's the original writer.

Speaker 3 (22:59):
Taylor is breathing. She's writing her own stuff.

Speaker 1 (23:01):
That's what she knows.

Speaker 2 (23:02):
And she's got lots of cats too. Found out a
little more about Adam Levine when he quit the Voice.
Apparently he's walking away from thirty million dollars wow.

Speaker 3 (23:15):
Yeah, and he's probably sitting on ninety million. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (23:19):
He had another two year deal. He still signed off
on two more years for fifteen million bucks a year. Yeah,
and so he's just walking away from it. It does
apparently have to do with him being upset with the
way the rules changed in the out of the show
this year. There was suppose there's these new cross battle rounds,
and the way it worked is that he lost some

(23:40):
of his contestants in the round, and so he went
into the semifinals with nobody and some of the people
behind the scenes and the Voice said he didn't even
want to show up for the final because he didn't
have a horse in the game.

Speaker 3 (23:49):
Right, then it's better for him to walk away. It
really isn't. He's done it for a long time. He
might also be ready to do something else.

Speaker 2 (23:55):
Yeah, And Blake's fine with it because they're bringing in
Gwen as the Adam replace. Doesn't wait to have to
wait to get home to see her.

Speaker 3 (24:02):
You're gonna sit next to each other.

Speaker 2 (24:03):
I don't think that's probably Adam's seat on the end.
And Vegas right now, Lady Gaga is about to begin
the second part of her residency.

Speaker 4 (24:11):
I want to hold them.

Speaker 2 (24:13):
They've added a little something extra for you. So if
you happen to be going to Vegas to see Gaga,
go a little early because they put right next to
where she's performing at the Park Theater, the House of Gaga,
And they have all of a bunch of her clothing,
clothing on display, her Golden globe on display, man, and
they have the meat dress on display. Now it's the
the underside of the meat dress, not the meat because.

Speaker 3 (24:34):
The meat that is the one thing that she did
that I'm like, really.

Speaker 2 (24:37):
Yeah, So if you want to go see some fancy
Gaga outfits, check it out before you go see.

Speaker 3 (24:41):
The show, Murphy Jody Music news coming up next with
summer vacation planning and summer vacations happening. Now why it's
not the best idea in the world to travel with
your friends. Family vacations rock ro you know, besties on
vacation not so much. That's next.

Speaker 1 (25:02):
We've believing fun before, during, and after. You know, so
we don't do it before the show podcast, but we
do do it after the show podcast.

Speaker 2 (25:09):
What time do we have to get here to the
before show?

Speaker 3 (25:11):
Don't worry about it.

Speaker 1 (25:13):
It would be kind of weird, wouldn't It doesn't need
to show another episode of the Murphy Salmon Shody after
the show. Podcast will be posted today a little bit
later on, So come join us.

Speaker 3 (25:21):
Do you believe that traveling with a friend a best
friend would be awesome? Because in theory the idea sounds incredible.

Speaker 1 (25:28):
Yeah, I've never had any problem traveling with my best friends.
I haven't done it in a while, but yeah, I
mean I haven't done you know, well, like when I
sen your trip that was my friend Charles great. We
had a wonderful I mean, in fact, that was a
very long road trip. We spent two days in the
car getting somewhere and two days in the car getting back.
But it worked. I mean, we got along fine.

Speaker 3 (25:48):
I wasn't sick of them, not a care in the
world at eighteen.

Speaker 1 (25:50):
Yeah, but so suppose it.

Speaker 3 (25:53):
What about you?

Speaker 9 (25:53):
What do you?

Speaker 3 (25:54):
What do you think, sir?

Speaker 2 (25:55):
You know me, I'm a little particular you are I
would be difficult to travel with the word and if
you are a family member.

Speaker 3 (26:01):
Truth or a friend our friends, but you really don't
know a person until you've traveled with them. And that
is so true. That is so true. And there are
a lot of instances, and they've done studies about friends
who travel together and then it hurts their friendship, really
and you can kind of and see why, you know,
especially that you grow up and you're an adult. You're
not eighteen any more. Going woohoo. Part A. It's not

(26:22):
like that. When my friend Rachel and I went to
Vegas together, and she's one of my best friends since
high school. I respect her greatly. We we did fine together,
we really really did. But at the end of the trip,
I thought she was gonna be upset with me, and
I thought something had happened that would have heard our friendship. Well,
I almost wasn't that whole.

Speaker 1 (26:42):
Thing about, you know, the guy that wanted to, you know,
have dinner and spend an evening with her, and you
ruined that for her?

Speaker 3 (26:47):
Ha ha, I didn't mean to. Eventually she told me
to stop telling people I'm a PhD. I'm like, I'm sorry.
So it's not good that guys are intimidated by that.
So I stopped telling guys that I was just proud.
I'm proud of her.

Speaker 2 (26:59):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (26:59):
No, So I dropped her phone and it died in
that Las Vegas hotel. You my phone had died. You
were calling me a ton and she finally said, your
husband is calling my phone and I pick it up
and I'm trying to handle my bag and getting in
the room and it fell and it died. No, And
she spent all night and the next morning trying to

(27:20):
get that thing to come back, and every contact she
has in life, professional and personal was in there. And
it finally came back right before we got on the plane.

Speaker 2 (27:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (27:30):
And I literally thought she's gonna hate me because I
dropped her phone and she lost everything. Didn't hurt anything, though, No,
but she if it had, if it had not come back,
I might be telling a different story right now.

Speaker 4 (27:42):
You know.

Speaker 3 (27:42):
So most people who've done it say personal differences are
the reason the trips get ruined. You know, traveling with
someone is living with them for a little while.

Speaker 2 (27:50):
Yeah, you got a compromise with Even if it's a friend,
it's still a stranger, right, And you can.

Speaker 1 (27:57):
Call her Texas anytime eight seven seven three one zero
four MSJ. You can also hit us up on Facebook
or Bazilion ways to get ahold of us. Hey, Megan,
how are you?

Speaker 9 (28:07):
I'm good?

Speaker 3 (28:08):
What's up?

Speaker 9 (28:09):
Oh my gosh, I cannot believe I'm talking to you. Guys?
I called him to leave a voicemail?

Speaker 3 (28:14):
Okay.

Speaker 9 (28:14):
Producer Bailey hits the phone.

Speaker 3 (28:16):
Yeah, would you rather leave a voicemail because we want
to talk to you.

Speaker 9 (28:20):
I've left so many voicemail okay.

Speaker 2 (28:22):
I mean I can make that beat noise if you
want no.

Speaker 9 (28:25):
Oh gosh, we need to talk to you about Rocketman.

Speaker 2 (28:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 9 (28:29):
I went and saw it last night.

Speaker 3 (28:30):
Yes, okay.

Speaker 9 (28:31):
I was not expecting the magic. It was the most
different things I've ever seen, right, And that's that's so
hard to do. At this point in time, I feel
like I feel like everything's already been done, truly and
I didn't know what to expect after Bohemian Rhapsody. I
didn't see that movie till it was like already out
of theaters. So I'll make sure to get on this
movie and see it last night. And I even went

(28:53):
to Amazon and bought huge pink glitter glasses.

Speaker 1 (28:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (28:58):
It was just so fun cool, that's cool. Okay, So
you was it more like a musical like they.

Speaker 9 (29:04):
Say it was a musical. I was not acpecting that either,
but it was just so well done and so smooth.
Right as it was happening, the songs and everything, I
was like, whoa, this is actually a musical.

Speaker 3 (29:14):
You felt like you when you left, you know Elton
John Now, Yes, I spent.

Speaker 9 (29:19):
The rest of the night researching him.

Speaker 2 (29:20):
Oh cool.

Speaker 9 (29:21):
Yeah, it was just so beautiful and I don't know,
it's just so gorgeous.

Speaker 3 (29:25):
That's want to call and tell you I love you.
Know that because it makes it sound like it's more
than a movie, kind of like a work of art.
Between you'll want to see it again.

Speaker 9 (29:32):
See I want to see it again. And the other
thing that was so cool to me is I didn't
even know about that movie until you guys talked about it.
On Hollywood outside or so now I'm in the loop
on everything. Wow, and now I listen every morning. And
so as soon as you talked about it and set
the release day, I put the day in my phone and.

Speaker 3 (29:49):
You made me want to go see it tonight.

Speaker 2 (29:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (29:51):
Well, sweet, I'm so glad we actually got your call
this time.

Speaker 9 (29:55):
Guys. I am so happy to talk to you. You
guys make me so happy. Every morning I listened to
you on the way to all my jobs, have multiple jobs,
I have to go there in the morning.

Speaker 3 (30:03):
My goodness, and I am so the person who calls
you once more.

Speaker 9 (30:07):
And straise my own faith in the morning. Wake up
and yeah, that's a good plan. It helps helps you
wake up every morning.

Speaker 3 (30:13):
Little rose water or just cucumber water or regular water.

Speaker 9 (30:17):
It's not as startling as you say, because it's room temperature. Okay,
it definitely helps you wake up.

Speaker 3 (30:23):
But nice.

Speaker 9 (30:23):
I love you, guys, Thank you.

Speaker 3 (30:24):
So much for talking.

Speaker 1 (30:25):
Thank you, Megan. We appreciate the phone call.

Speaker 7 (30:28):
You know.

Speaker 1 (30:28):
Megan does the same thing that I do. Though, when
I get really into something new pop cultures, I always
want up googling and following up on it afterwards.

Speaker 3 (30:35):
Yeah, I love hearing from you eight seven seven three
one zero four MSJ to jump in anytime.

Speaker 4 (30:42):
Coming out Hollywood.

Speaker 3 (30:44):
So everybody's losing their minds about Robert Pattinson signing on
to be our next Batman. But I want everybody to
calm down and give it a chance. Tell you why next.
Jody's Hollywood Outsider fan are losing their minds? Why about
Robert Pattinson officially signing on to be the new Batman

(31:09):
the world?

Speaker 2 (31:10):
I believe you, that's just the last time.

Speaker 3 (31:13):
I'm surprised that he wanted to do this. That's another
big franchise, and he's he seems more indie and less
franchise since he you know, cut his teeth on a franchise.
That's why we can't you know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (31:28):
Make me wonder is he only going to be able
to come out at night?

Speaker 3 (31:32):
Yeah, here's the deal. I think there are already petitions
going on for him not to be it. First of all,
stop doing that, stop signing petitions about entertainment. Number one,
stop it, and number two, give him a chance. He's
got a gorgeous jaw line and he's a great actor.
That's what you need to be Batman. A gorgeous jaw
line and be a great actor. And let's just say this,

(31:53):
if we'd have had social media when they cast Michael
Keaton as Batman, nobody would have thought that would work.
And he was great. And then George Clooney has a
gorgeous jaw line and he was horrible. You never know
until they slip into that batsuit. I even had hope
for Ben Affleck. Yeah, did you not?

Speaker 2 (32:10):
Is Robert Pattinson's suit gonna sparkle in the sunstop it?

Speaker 3 (32:13):
Stop it? I'm sure on a meme somewhere. Well, so
he has. He's officially signed on to be the next Batman.
He's going to replace Ben Affleck, and the is the
DC Universe thing, right, and the movie is set to
open June, so summer of twenty twenty one, so it's
quite a while that he's got to. Uh. They they're
putting together.

Speaker 2 (32:32):
What I've heard is it's a complete break from Fleck.
They're not going to like tie the stories back.

Speaker 3 (32:36):
Okay, we need to start over. Maybe he should be
a little more dark and less funny. Okay, moving on.
I had to get that off. My jest about everybody
calming down and give him a chance over the weekend.
A surprise, Rocketman was not number one.

Speaker 4 (32:50):
Moments in Ars Life.

Speaker 3 (32:52):
Maybe the most talked about movie release in a long time.

Speaker 2 (32:54):
The musical Fantasy was number two. Then right, it was number.

Speaker 3 (32:57):
Three, Aladdin. Disney's Laddin came in at number two, and
number one was Godzilla, King of the Monsters, Really Godzilla?
Godzilla again Godzilla. That's your update on the family friendly
box office over the weekend. Another Hollywood Outsider for you
coming up around eight thirty this morning.

Speaker 4 (33:19):
Up to date with Shooty's Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 1 (33:25):
So Sam was talking about his Little Wasp escapade over
the weekend, trying to kill him in his.

Speaker 3 (33:31):
Box A mast or like one.

Speaker 2 (33:34):
It's an ast. They've ailed an ass and so after
I killed them, I knocked the nest down, but they
will be back in a few weeks. Apparently it's a
hot spot in the neighborhood. My mailbox, well, maybe you
should stop keeping honey in there. Ah, there's a lot
of dancing that goes along too, some dances. Yeah, oh yeah.

Speaker 3 (33:50):
Get when you open it up, and it's totally scary.

Speaker 1 (33:54):
I would be every single time I go to the mailbox,
I would be scared, scared but you know what I mean,
not just because well, yeah, the thing is, I'm always
used to WASP being everywhere. And then the house that
Jody and I just moved into, they apparently love our
car part.

Speaker 3 (34:10):
Yes, they high, they're in the they're on the garage door.
I want to say, yeah, And so I don't.

Speaker 1 (34:15):
I don't know what this is about that, but I
am going to I'm sure that there's a way to
do this, and I'm sure that you know, somebody in
the pest control business would have some sort of an
idea this. Also, there's got to be a deterrent, you
know what I mean. There's not to be something that
will keep them. I know that the trick of painting
some of the overhangs the light blue will trick a
WASP when they won't build. And that absolutely looks that work.
It does work. But I don't want to. I don't

(34:36):
want to paint our house that way.

Speaker 3 (34:37):
What can't we just paint the inside of our garage
door that that's beautiful? Why not? That's a good idea, Weird.

Speaker 4 (34:45):
I don't care.

Speaker 3 (34:45):
It's the inside of the garage.

Speaker 2 (34:47):
Door that hat blue is supposed to keep ghost of
the way to Yeah, and I don't think it works
on the side.

Speaker 1 (34:51):
I think it's only like ceilings because they think it's
the sky. Maybe you'll give them vertigo. Think they give
them get vertigo. If you're painted on the sidewalls, fine
with they get vertigo. But you know so I but
I have been really kind of visually diligent about this.
Everywhere I go, I'm always looking up at the corners
of the house now and I'm even I have strategically

(35:14):
placed the cans of the twenty foot spray so that
I don't have to go running somewhere. It's always the
you know, I don't know what my thing is. Wasp
for one of those where it's not like I'm scared
of them, but I just can't stand them. I don't
think I think they creep me out more than spiders.

Speaker 3 (35:33):
The way they sort of hang in the air and
fly super creeky. You know they're coming, and you know
that thing is for real.

Speaker 1 (35:42):
That's the deal, right, So I don't want to be
anywhere close to.

Speaker 3 (35:45):
The anticipation of the pain.

Speaker 2 (35:47):
That's what that is, which also goes back to the
bills in the mailbox. Yeah, got the whole family together
this weekend. For to visit Hollis. Actually it was you know,
it was a first time of all four generations being together.

Speaker 3 (36:02):
So Hollis is three two months old?

Speaker 2 (36:04):
Now three months old, okay, and then four generations, Yeah,
Hollis and then his dad, Sammy, my son, and then
me and then mom.

Speaker 3 (36:13):
Your mom, me, Judy, your mom came to town, my mom.
And now see baby Hollis. Does she go for the
baby immediately and grab him?

Speaker 2 (36:20):
And yeah. It's funny though to listen to her talk. Yes,
when the baby starts crying or being fussy. Oh lord,
you know it's a throwback to like nineteen fifties. Well
you know what the problem is. Yeah, and that's like
you say the stuff she I wish I could remember.
But the stuff she says, it's like I look over
at Sammy's wife, Melissa, you know, Hollis's mom, and it's

(36:42):
like she's you know, she's just it's an old wives tale, right,
because the stuff she says, it's like, I don't what.

Speaker 3 (36:50):
You need to turn him over?

Speaker 2 (36:52):
Yeah, he needs some sunlight, you know, cooy stuff like that.

Speaker 4 (36:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (36:57):
Yeah, and you never know, Well, there was one point
where he was getting cranky and I was holding him
and she goes, he's got gas. You need to pat
his back.

Speaker 3 (37:04):
I was like, I know what to do here, right,
I've done it a few times.

Speaker 2 (37:07):
Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 3 (37:10):
It's something about the sound of a baby crying where
people wanted to stop. Whether it's because of love reasons
and oh my god, sue the baby or my ears
can't take it, there's there's something about it that will
move you to any action.

Speaker 1 (37:23):
But think about that. Isn't that like nature? That's the
way it's supposed to be, because it signal was a problem.
And in the past when I've gone over and he
starts crying and I can't calm him, I was like.

Speaker 2 (37:33):
Here you go, you know, back to the mom and dad.
That's true. This time I tried. I tried to work
it out. This time. I walked him around and I
think he likes to look at ceiling fans and out windows.
Of course, so we were looking out the window.

Speaker 1 (37:44):
For a while while everybody nice, we'll see maybe he
needed some sunshine.

Speaker 2 (37:49):
She's right, Mama was right well. Being overseas, we decided
to FaceTime him and so he got to talk to
everybody and see Hollis and see me, me, and we
talked for a little while. It was fun.

Speaker 3 (38:02):
Did you point out the four generation thing or did she?

Speaker 2 (38:05):
Yeah? Because I said, but before Hollis starts getting cranky,
I want to get a picture of all four of us,
four generations on the sofa. And we did a normal one,
you know, one, two, three, four, But then I thought, no,
I want to do one where Hollis is on Sammy's
lap and I'm on my mom's life.

Speaker 5 (38:21):
Hur Jody's Hollywood Outside.

Speaker 3 (38:27):
It's probably the most talked about movie for weeks. Debuted
this weekend at the box office, and that's Elton John's
biopic Rocketman.

Speaker 4 (38:35):
The moments in a rock star's life that define.

Speaker 3 (38:38):
Who he is. I expect it to be a little
higher up on the you know, I don't know a
weekend box office poll. Number one, number three, came in
at number three. But it's not for everybody. It's a
musical fantasy and it's just not for everybody. I can't
wait to see it. But Aladdin, Disney's live action Aladdin
hanging in at the number two spot. Number one, it's

(38:59):
a big one. Godzilla, King of the Monsters, this.

Speaker 2 (39:03):
Is the one where all the monsters are in it.

Speaker 3 (39:04):
Forty nine million dollars. That's actually not in Marvel World,
that's not as ginormous, but it did. And Millie Bobby
Brown is in this movie, so that's kind of I
think that's good for like haunting, bringing the younger crowd.
So that's what's happening this weekend. I do expect Rocketman
to hang on through the summer because I'm hoping to
head there this week sometime with you.

Speaker 2 (39:25):
Murph okay up to date.

Speaker 4 (39:27):
With Judy's Hollywood Outsider. Sam always lies the eats.

Speaker 3 (39:34):
He's the food boy.

Speaker 2 (39:36):
Is this new or what it's a It's a restaurant
in Los Angeles. They're going to franchise this around the
country because apparently it's been working there for two years.
It's a chicken restaurant, but all they sell is chicken skin.
It's called my Chick in the letter in skin like
fry all fried chicken skin? Are you serious?

Speaker 1 (39:55):
And LA is the last place you would expect to hear.

Speaker 3 (39:58):
Which is why it probably stands out America. Anything goes.

Speaker 1 (40:02):
I mean, that's like the fattiest part, the least healthy part.

Speaker 2 (40:05):
Well, it's Keto friendly.

Speaker 3 (40:10):
Chicken meat.

Speaker 2 (40:11):
Parker, one of my teenagers, doesn't like chicken skin because
it's too crispy, and it's like, dude, that's like the
best part of the chicken.

Speaker 3 (40:18):
That's the part that Murphy tries not to eat because well.

Speaker 2 (40:21):
That's the thing.

Speaker 1 (40:21):
I mean, I'll have one by but I really don't.
I've stopped. That's one thing I've just kind of cut
out of my diet because it's so bad for you,
you know. But if there's a restaurant, might as well
try it.

Speaker 2 (40:32):
Calories, I'm assuming what they because it's like, you can
only go so far with chicken sab and I guess
it's different spices or different sauces.

Speaker 3 (40:39):
Yeah, there's a lot of probably things you can do
with it.

Speaker 2 (40:43):
I gotta try this chicken skin restaurant. Weird.

Speaker 3 (40:49):
We mentioned this earlier, but we had to do it again,
especially for a Monday. Fresh flowers reduced reduce stress, and
make you feel less anxious. There's nothing but good benefits
for having them in your house, in your areas, wherever
you are at home. A beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers
makes me happy, and for some reason, I need daisies

(41:10):
in there. Any other combination is great. Throw lilies, throw roses.
I'll have Hydernia's. I love daisies.

Speaker 2 (41:21):
What the white daisies, not the ones that they fake die.

Speaker 3 (41:23):
I like the No, I don't want fakede flowers.

Speaker 2 (41:25):
They don't like that.

Speaker 3 (41:25):
Well, I don't like that. Why if you don't have
to do that? Of all things in nature, flowers are
already spectacularly colored.

Speaker 2 (41:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (41:33):
The only flowers that I'm really very familiar with are
roses and carnations and a few others. I don't know
which one has that really strong smell. You got an
arrangement one time. It was like, oh my god, this
has got to get out of the house. It was
that's the only kind of flower that I can't deal with.
This one just like overpowering, really big, like a trumpet almost.

Speaker 3 (41:53):
Oh okayam would know. Sam's the king of the fresh
flowers around here.

Speaker 2 (41:57):
I don't know if amarillis is smell, but yeah, Amarella,
this is big.

Speaker 1 (42:01):
As long as they're not like overpowering, I absolutely.

Speaker 3 (42:04):
That I'm going to start bringing them into the house
more often because I like them. I forget to get
them and now it's like a stress reliever. Definitely doing it, And.

Speaker 1 (42:14):
