Speaker 1 (00:02):
Like it or not, Halloween costume talk is already about
about because a lot of if you're a Halloween family,
you're thinking about it. As soon as pumpkins start showing
up and they have which they have.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
You're thinking about it.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
I haven't seen costumes yet, but I haven't been places
where costumes are hanging out.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
But you moms are better prepared at that than guys.
I'm not thinking about my costume yet.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
You don't ever think about your costume, Murphy. It's always
me going, hey, would you go as this? Would you
please go as this?

Speaker 4 (00:25):
You don't think about your costume until Jody tells you too.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
True, but we might not even do that this year.
Are we going to do that?

Speaker 1 (00:31):
The Murphy, Sam and Jody Halloween podcasting is so fine.
It's so fun to dress up. Okay, so together we'll
all dress up. We can start thinking about it. You
know that Stranger Things is the supposedly hot pop culture
costume this year, and there's so many things you can do.
The thing that jumps to mind mostly is the scoops
a hoy, the ice cre uniform. That's cute, But because

(00:52):
that's been so mentioned already, I'm thinking go deeper, like
go as eleven with her scrunchy, her new out fit.

Speaker 4 (01:00):
The eighties outfit.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
Yeah, I loved it when she went to Gap and
did that. Or Billy Billy.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
In the bathing suit, Billy whistle mullett. I mean that's
pretty easy to pull off.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
Yeah, but don't anybody go as Billy please.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
Let's be pretty if.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
You're gonna go as Billy anyway. It's just something that's
already being talked about. Moms are probably already on it.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
Come Jonius after the show for another episode of the
Murphy Saving Jody after the show podcast later today. You
know where I'll be after the show today, where Sam
probably sitting in a nice long line trying to get
a chicken sandwich of Popeyes.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
You one yet I have not, and this is driving
me insane. Murphy had one before it took off, Like right.

Speaker 3 (01:43):
Yeah, well, what's weird about this is you did it
in the food Dude, what two weeks ago that they
was coming.

Speaker 5 (01:49):
That day?

Speaker 3 (01:50):
I just don't like, you know what, Let me try one.
And it wasn't the longest line in the world. They
weren't out of buns yet, they were out of anything.
And I enjoyed it. Yeah, yeah, I mean, how does
it compare. Well, that's the thing. It's different. It's apples
and well it's not apples an orange chicken, right, but
I mean it's not. Everybody's say, well, compared to Chick
fil a, Well, the Chick fil a chicken sandwich is

(02:10):
just that, it's awesome. It is what it is. This
is different. It's Popeye's take on it. I don't think
it's designed to be different.

Speaker 5 (02:16):
Yeah, I had one yesterday, Okay.

Speaker 6 (02:18):
I really think at this point, the only really, the
only thing you can truly compare is the breading.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
Like, what recipe are they using to bread in front?

Speaker 1 (02:26):
Well, that's the that's the magic, right chickens and chicken
until you bread it.

Speaker 5 (02:29):
Yeah, but yeah, it's it wasn't I like it.

Speaker 6 (02:33):
I like the spicy chicken floy sandwich better than the
spicy Popeye sandwich.

Speaker 5 (02:37):
Okay see, and I'm I can do either.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
It's gonna be what mood of my ending a really
big thick piece of chicken, you.

Speaker 1 (02:45):
Know, hungry, it doesn't matter. I cannot ever eat a
whole chicken sandwich. It way too much protein. It's like
so filling. I can't finish it.

Speaker 4 (02:53):
As soon as I finished one, I want a second
one too.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
It's too much.

Speaker 5 (02:57):
Well, I don't think that's gonna be the case of
the Popeyes.

Speaker 4 (02:59):
Can't even get to a pop.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
Eyes if you can do two of those, because it's
a really thick piece of chicken. I think again, they're
not trying to be like Chick fil A. They're just
doing your thing.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
Yeah, they're all trying to be like each other. They're
all trying to get us wrapped around the building waiting,
which they're succeeding.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
I hope you get one today.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
So I got to find the Popeyees like that's way out,
you know, thirty miles away that nobody knows about. Right,
we gotlenty of.

Speaker 7 (03:22):
Chicken coming up.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
Has your Hollywood some super personal news from Quentin Tarantino
and when he plans to stop making movies Jody's Hollywood
Outsider Quentin Tarantino's latest movie, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
I haven't seen it yet because three.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
Hours, yeah yeah, yeah, but it's got, you know, two
of your favorite actors of all time.

Speaker 5 (03:46):
Can't you sit through that for three hours?

Speaker 7 (03:47):
I'm Rickington, it's not pleasure than mister Schwartz.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
You know you're right. I can sit through anything with
Leonardo because I've done it.

Speaker 4 (03:55):
I'm Margot Robbie.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
I love Margot. Also, I'm not in love with Brad Pitt.
The world has been anyway.

Speaker 4 (04:01):
What well?

Speaker 1 (04:02):
I mean, I like him, but he's no Lego.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
So we pitt that Thelman Louise. Hello, I'm only a woman.
Oh my god.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
When Thelman Louise I did the same thing that every
other woman, I was.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
Like, who is that?

Speaker 5 (04:15):
Who is that?

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (04:17):
Quentin Tarantino a couple of big pieces of news for him.
He's about to be a dad for the first time.

Speaker 4 (04:22):
Oh good, Oh.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
Wife, he got married last year. He didn't get married
till I was fifty five years old. Take note of that, Sam,
He's fifty six now and his wife is pregnant. First child, Yes,
ever gonna have So that's exciting, right. He also says
that he plans to retire from making movies at the
age of sixty, so he's only got a few more
years left to crank out these things that he's working on.

Speaker 4 (04:43):
But remember as that he also said he was retiring
after he did eight movies. He'd said that forever, right,
and then Hateful eight was eight, right, and he decided
to make this one.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
It's his love and his craft. You can say that.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
I don't know why people want to say I'm gonna
stop doing this at sixty, because if something comes along
that he wants.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
To ma, yeah, he'll do it.

Speaker 4 (05:01):
He's so good at it.

Speaker 3 (05:02):
Well, I wouldn't be surprised if having a child will
change him or inspire him to something he's never done before.

Speaker 5 (05:08):
That's what I have.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
Animation, No more blood and gore in the movie.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
Maybe so David Letterman waited till later in life to
have children, and he said in a quote he wishes
he'd have done it sooner.

Speaker 7 (05:18):
Murphy, Sam and Jody.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
You are Hollywood coming up next to something you need
to know. If you've become friends with Jody right over here,
that's something that she's done to me and Sam and
you know producer Bailey and producer Right. So I'm gonna
let you in a little secret about Jody as her husband. Yeah,
all right, and uh, this is just.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
About what happened this morning with us getting under each
other's skin a little bit in here.

Speaker 3 (05:45):
No that sounds interesting, d No, really, I was gonna
be much more simple than that. It was something Sam
noticed the other day. This is what happens if you
become friends with Jody, is that there's a chance that
the longer she knows you, the more that she's going
to give you a nickname, she's gonna call you by
some other name of variation that's your own, you know.

Speaker 4 (06:07):
Okay, yes, I mean you used to call producer Emily
m she is Chad?

Speaker 2 (06:12):
Is I called Chad Chad? Actually longer Chadwick? And wait?
Do you first of all, you don't mind you.

Speaker 5 (06:18):
Child, not at all?

Speaker 2 (06:19):
Do you like it?

Speaker 6 (06:20):
Yeah, I've been It's not the first time I've been
called Chadwick.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
Okay, I kind of wish that.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
But but Jodie is the nicknamer type, you know what
I mean, she always has. Well you understand that with
your kids, you kind of expect that. Yeah, Tay Thebes,
you know, instead of Tator and Phoebe.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
And Scoop and Sammy. I've called you Sammy.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
Yeah, not as much though, No, No, it's not that
I'm you know, you're feeling doubt.

Speaker 5 (06:44):
She also refers to herself as the shod.

Speaker 8 (06:47):
Yeah, excuse me, not often because that's not cool.

Speaker 4 (06:53):
Is there a Murphy one.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
Besides, there's a lot of Murphy ones.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
You know about sparky, sparky, and then there's not I
can't say when I'm or whatever.

Speaker 3 (07:00):
But it's really funny, even even people that we haven't
known that long. You know, one of one of Taylor's friends,
his name is Roger and she.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
I just want to say this though, for anybody that
I nickname and if you need to know.

Speaker 2 (07:19):
That, it's it means that I like you.

Speaker 1 (07:21):
It's the sort of same thing where I've been around
men my whole life who pick on me. They meet
me and I'm twenty minutes in and I'm getting picked on,
and it took me my whole life to understand that's
a it's a it's an endearing thing. So if I
give you a nickname Bailey like b I've thrown.

Speaker 2 (07:36):
That out a few times. It's it's means that I
like you.

Speaker 5 (07:40):
Yeah, you know, she'll occasionally call you sam Well. It's right, sam.

Speaker 4 (07:44):
Well, that's true. That's because of Samuel Tarley. Yes, Game
of Thrones.

Speaker 3 (07:49):
But no changing the sign please to you know Murph
Samuell and the.

Speaker 7 (07:54):
Jode coming up next.

Speaker 1 (07:57):
It's the producer's nailed what do you have on the
way for us to well, Well, there's something special about
Jody that had you feel an uncomfortably numb.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
Truthfully, everybody can relate.

Speaker 6 (08:08):
We're going into that next.

Speaker 1 (08:12):
Give us a call anytime eight seven seven three one
zero four MSJ or you can hit us up on
social media, Facebook or Instagram.

Speaker 7 (08:19):
The producer's mail bag.

Speaker 6 (08:20):
What do you have in there today, Chad, Well, we're
talking about and after the show podcast we did the
other day of Jody about you being a redhead and
something people can't believe that you need more of.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
Oh yeah, love.

Speaker 1 (08:33):
Understanding, no anesthesia, especially at the dentist, they'll numb me
up and then they come in and I'm crossing my
fingers hoping it's not true, not believing the science of it.

Speaker 5 (08:44):
But sure enough it's But most people get that now, right,
don't most doctors get that?

Speaker 2 (08:49):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
I mean, there's scientific I dug into it. My friend
who's a PhD sent me in a scientific article on
it that it's real. You have more whatever, You're susceptible
to thermal pain more so than other people, and you
need more anaesthesia.

Speaker 6 (09:02):
Sounds like a theesis, so Vicky says, one hundred percent true.
I remember with my first child, I had gotten an
epidural and I felt so much pain in active labor.
The anestesialis kept telling me no pain, no pressure, lady,
it's pain. Throughout the years and surgeries, I've been prescribed
some pretty strong painkillers that I don't even take because

(09:23):
they really don't do anything.

Speaker 2 (09:24):
I know.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
Okay, we'll always talk to your doctor about it, you know,
and if your doctor doesn't believe it, then maybe you
need to trysk.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
Jody, Thank you, Vicky. We love hearing from you. Reach
out to us anytime on Facebook or Instagram.

Speaker 7 (09:35):
Coming up, Jody, you're Hollywood.

Speaker 1 (09:38):
I'm gonna tell you about Black Panther two and the
VMA's tonight.

Speaker 7 (09:44):
Jody's Hollywood outside.

Speaker 1 (09:46):
We're going to get to the VMA's for because they're
tonight and say you know what to expect. But first, okay,
so over the weekend and not in Disney, but in Anaheim, California,
they did the D two three expo.

Speaker 4 (09:56):
Oh my god, they had so many trailers this weekend.
It's unbelievable.

Speaker 7 (10:00):
I know.

Speaker 1 (10:00):
Okay, So they did announce some big things that we're
going to get a black Panther sequel.

Speaker 4 (10:05):
Yeah, what do.

Speaker 7 (10:07):
You know about what the textiles? Shepherd's School outfits all the.

Speaker 1 (10:12):
Front and we did expect it, but when So now
we know the Black Panther sequel is coming into theaters
May of twenty twenty two.

Speaker 4 (10:22):
That's a long time away for me.

Speaker 2 (10:24):
Wow, that's a long time away.

Speaker 4 (10:26):
They also had a Black Widow trailer too, apparently they
put out.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
I got excited about that, did you.

Speaker 4 (10:30):
I didn't get to see it because it's one of
those ones they only show there. But the David Harbor
is in it.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
From Stranger Things, Yes, Oh, expect David Harbor to be
in much more. He has made such a name for
himself and I'm fine with it. I expect him to
be in season four of Stranger Things as well.

Speaker 4 (10:45):
Haha.

Speaker 1 (10:45):
Really Okay, So that was one of the big announcements
from D two three. They you know, knocked out a
bunch of them at one time. Moving on to the
VMA's Tonight the show will be opened by one Miss
Taylor Swift.

Speaker 2 (11:00):
New album dropped last week.

Speaker 4 (11:02):
That's right, Love.

Speaker 2 (11:04):
You think she'll do a compilation or one of the.

Speaker 4 (11:07):
Big songs, Probably do one of the upbeat ones. And
then throw something else in.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
Okay, she's also I mean, look, it's big performances. Billy
Eilish is expected to perform Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendes, and
Camilica Bayo. Missy Elliott being honored with the Video Vanguard.

Speaker 4 (11:22):
And she's also performing too.

Speaker 1 (11:23):
He's also performing. So look for that tonight Live from
New Jersey.

Speaker 2 (11:28):
This time.

Speaker 1 (11:29):
Comedian Sebastian Maniscalco is the host. Laughs, that's on MTV tonight.
Coming up in your next Hollywood outside of this morning
around seven fifty five. We also got the trailer this
weekend for the Breaking Bad movie and Oh my Goodness
up to.

Speaker 7 (11:47):
Date Judy's Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 1 (11:52):
For me, my big hang up as a mother was
always sleep. Please get enough sleep, please when they were little, like,
please sleep.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
I've got friends who the thing that they get hung
up on is food. Please eat, please eat. I never
worried about that, but the kids.

Speaker 1 (12:04):
But if you do worry about that, especially back to
school time, because they do need to eat in the morning. Yes,
ideas right now, two ingredient breakfasts.

Speaker 4 (12:14):
Hi, you like that milk and cereal?

Speaker 2 (12:16):
Yeah, that's a good one. Sam, thanks, it is a
good one.

Speaker 4 (12:19):
Part of the balanced breakfast.

Speaker 5 (12:21):
Yes, but that would then need more than two ingredients.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
See, yeah, if you add some to it.

Speaker 1 (12:25):
Here's some favorites. Peanut butter and apple slices.

Speaker 5 (12:30):
That's good routine and fruit.

Speaker 1 (12:31):
It's good for you and it's delicious together if your
kids have never eaten it. Yes, one of the melted
cheese and a tortilla cheese wrap. That's two ingredients unless
you use three cheeses, eggs on toast, egg on toast
if your kids will eat that, Avocado toast is one too,
and fruit and yogurt.

Speaker 2 (12:52):
Just throwing those out there.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
If you're trying to get the kids to eat something,
it doesn't have to be like there's a buffet.

Speaker 5 (12:57):
Yeah, and almost all those are grabbing gut yees.

Speaker 1 (13:00):
So we want to throw those out there and you
can always let us know what you know, your kids
grab and eat on the way out.

Speaker 4 (13:04):
I like that, Murphy. I kind of like that as
the title grab and.

Speaker 2 (13:07):
Go, Grab and go your ingredient breakfast. Yeah, so check.

Speaker 1 (13:11):
You can check out our three ingredient breakfasts and other
stuff on murphy Samonjody dot com.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
But those were two.

Speaker 7 (13:16):
Coming up with Murphy's damn.

Speaker 5 (13:18):
Jody Sham's got music news.

Speaker 4 (13:19):
Lets you know what special thing Taylor Swift has playing
for the VMA's tonight.

Speaker 1 (13:23):
Yes, she's opening that show. Get Ready coming up next
eight seven seven three one zero four MSJ. David, We
are coming to you and kids, moms and dads. David
is a substitute teacher. What he wants you to know
about back to school. We always love hearing from you,
and give us a call any time. Eight seven seven

(13:43):
three one zero four ms J. And here at back
to school time. We have enjoyed hearing from teachers.

Speaker 5 (13:49):
How are you, David?

Speaker 9 (13:51):
All right?

Speaker 7 (13:52):
Good?

Speaker 9 (13:53):
The one thing I wanted to say about teachers, I
substitute teach. My wife is active duty, and everywhere we travel, well,
I substitute teach. And I even substituted for three years
in one town where my son was in high school.
And the one thing I would offer parents to say
is whether they're the real teachers there or the substitute teachers,

(14:16):
is give them respect, pay attention, cut off your cell
phones and lead them off.

Speaker 2 (14:22):
Oh yeah, that's the rules.

Speaker 9 (14:24):
You know, it is a rule. But when substitute teachers
come in, they think they can do anything.

Speaker 2 (14:29):
They want to Yeah, there is.

Speaker 1 (14:31):
I can remember being a student and it was like, yeah,
we got a sub today.

Speaker 7 (14:35):
Who yeah, yeah, and well.

Speaker 9 (14:38):
The teachers leave us an agenda the do you know,
either give a test or you know, they have to
read this chapter and those grades still count while we're substituting.

Speaker 1 (14:49):
I do think that you have an advantage you don't realize,
and that is they don't know you yet, you know
what I mean, So they don't know whether they can
push you or not. I think those first ten minutes
of class are key with a substitute teacher.

Speaker 9 (15:04):
Right, And I get in early and I line out
on the chalkboard exactly what is the agenda for the day?

Speaker 2 (15:11):
Nice?

Speaker 9 (15:11):
And then I surprise him when they first walk in
with an Australian accent. It catches them and they really
start paying attention.

Speaker 2 (15:21):
Right. You know, I about to say, David, please do it? Please?

Speaker 9 (15:26):
All right, Mike. Today, We've thought a lot to do today.
You know, we we taught giggle and muscle around. You know,
we've got a lot of do today.

Speaker 4 (15:34):
So let's started.

Speaker 2 (15:36):
Yeah, we'll keep subbing, David, and we love hearing from you.
Thank you for that.

Speaker 9 (15:41):
Wouldn't have it any other way. I love you guys show,
keep the doo on, love it.

Speaker 3 (15:44):
Thank you David. We appreciate that. I always felt bad
badly for substitute teachers because there were some that we
had that, you know, they would just get picked on.

Speaker 5 (15:56):
Yeah, I mean, you.

Speaker 2 (15:57):
Know it would make a good sub teacher, Sam.

Speaker 1 (16:00):
What you would make a great substitute teacher. They would
be intimidated by you. Then by the end of it
they'd be like, man, we hope we have him again.
He's funny.

Speaker 3 (16:08):
Yeah, I can see Sam going in there with his
antics of hello everybody, I mean calling the titcher right
off the bat, almost doing the show.

Speaker 4 (16:15):
What subject do I need to teach?

Speaker 2 (16:17):
It doesn't matter if you're a sub right you follow
the teachers or.

Speaker 5 (16:21):
Just want That's what Sam.

Speaker 4 (16:22):
We don't know his English class, but we're gonna do
math today.

Speaker 7 (16:25):
Yeah. Sam has music news.

Speaker 4 (16:27):
What I'm hoping Taylor Swift does tonight when she opens
the VMA's.

Speaker 7 (16:33):
Sam's Got Music News.

Speaker 4 (16:35):
Video Music Awards tonight on MTV and opening the show
will be Miss Taylor Swift.

Speaker 7 (16:40):
Thomas that you'll never find another like me.

Speaker 2 (16:42):
I'm gonna tell you this.

Speaker 1 (16:44):
I haven't watched the VMA's in a long time. Because
Monday Night, Hello but Night, I'm I'm watching her open
this show. She's always got something dynamic to brand.

Speaker 4 (16:56):
She's got a lot of the new songs from the
album that came out Friday. I'm thinking wondering possibly if
she might have the Dixie Chicks on stage with her tonight.
The new album is Lover and there's a song on
the album Murphy called Soon You'll Get Better. It's about
Taylor's mom and her struggle with cancer, and the Kicks
are the one with the Dixie Chicks actually singing back up.

Speaker 7 (17:20):
That.

Speaker 1 (17:20):
I'd be surprised if she opened the show with this, though,
because the opening of the show is supposed to bring
a big burst of energy.

Speaker 4 (17:27):
Okay, probably Brandon Urie again and me or.

Speaker 2 (17:30):
Maybe just the calm down song God love that one.

Speaker 4 (17:33):
Yes, it'd be a good one too.

Speaker 7 (17:34):
Yan.

Speaker 4 (17:35):
By the way, it didn't happen on this day, but
it was ten years ago at the VMA's when Taylor
won and Kanye got on stage.

Speaker 5 (17:42):
Taylor, I'm really happy for you.

Speaker 6 (17:45):
I'ma let you finish, but Beyonce had one of your
best videos time.

Speaker 2 (17:50):
I'm sorry that years ago.

Speaker 4 (17:53):
Allow behind the scenes on that one, the president of
the network, Viacom ran into Beyonce backstage and Beyonce apparently
was crying too because Kanye did that. And so he's like,
you know, maybe you could bring Taylor up on stage
because I'm telling you right now you are going to
win a later award. Yeah, and so he said that
maybe will help rectify the situation.

Speaker 1 (18:13):
And no worry, Taylor got her revenge with him with
many songs.

Speaker 4 (18:16):
Also too, Pink got in Kanye's face. We didn't see
this on TV and him out for doing it.

Speaker 3 (18:21):
Yeah, But now haven't Taylor and Kanye since mended their
ways on this?

Speaker 2 (18:25):
I don't think so.

Speaker 7 (18:26):
It was not so very all the time, Murphy Sam
d Music News.

Speaker 2 (18:31):
Sam.

Speaker 1 (18:31):
You know how the last time we came out to
your neck of the woods, Murphy and I had a
date and we saw people making out. Well, it sort
of happened again. We had our night of real action
again out in the country. Tell you about it next, Sam.
This weekend, Murphy and I sort of had a date
in your neck of the woods, my neck of the word. Okay,
so well, we were closer to your house, probably our

(18:52):
youngest dary your youngest daughter, Phoebe, had a babysitting job
our niece and nephew. She was babysitting for the family
and so it was like six to ten, here's your job,
and she was so excited to do it. So we
bring her, thinking, okay, we have stuff to do anyway,
so we're gonna bring her. She didn't drive yet, Taylor
was working, and so we'll go shopping, do our stuff

(19:14):
that we have to do, have dinner, hang out, have
a date, and then pick her up. So we're out
in your neck of the woods.

Speaker 4 (19:20):
Uh huh.

Speaker 2 (19:21):
And so we go shopping. It doesn't take too long.

Speaker 4 (19:24):
Well, mall Mark's quick.

Speaker 2 (19:25):
We also don't think we didn't.

Speaker 1 (19:28):
We also pull into this gas station and I'm sitting
in the car and Murphy goes in to pay, and
on your way out, Murphy, there was this horrible noise
like a was it a screeching tires?

Speaker 3 (19:40):
First, well, it was weird because yeah, I mean I
actually saw a guy screeching around the corner, pulls up
behind the cart, and the pumps next to us gets
out and gets in a fistfight with the guy.

Speaker 2 (19:51):
It was horrible. It was horrible.

Speaker 1 (19:54):
Murphy's walking out and I'm like, please don't get involved,
and I'm it's so scary to be around two grown
people throwing down.

Speaker 2 (20:02):
Yeah, it's scary. And there was the motives and I thought,
oh my gosh.

Speaker 3 (20:07):
So it distracted me so much that when we pulled off,
I heard a noise and looked at and realized I
had forgotten to pull the.

Speaker 5 (20:12):
Pomp out of.

Speaker 2 (20:14):
No because I was like, please, let's get out of here.

Speaker 5 (20:20):
It was my fault.

Speaker 1 (20:21):
I'm like, please get out of here. So I felt
like it was my fault. But at least it didn't
scratch the car and.

Speaker 5 (20:28):
I didn't pull the lucky I got. So I just
casually walked back over and hung it back up.

Speaker 4 (20:34):
I meant to do that.

Speaker 2 (20:35):
Why the safety works. We go eat, we drive around,
we go on the way home.

Speaker 1 (20:44):
We're telling Phoebe. She's telling us all about her babysitting job.
This is what the kids went to that at this time.
I played this game with him and all went well,
and everything got quite A said, me and your daddy
saw a fire.

Speaker 5 (20:59):
The high point of our date night.

Speaker 4 (21:01):
Well that'll teach you to come out to my neck exactly.

Speaker 7 (21:05):
Coming up next with Murphy's Salmon Joe.

Speaker 1 (21:07):
Right, moving on, tell you why the ant man is
coming to the house today. Remember when you stepped on
a bug recently, Murphy, and you were just down for
the count and you thought you were gonna die.

Speaker 3 (21:19):
She stung me. I thought, really it was more of
a wasp. When our youngest Phoebe did the app she said, well.

Speaker 1 (21:26):
Guess what I found out. I talked to the pest
control people. He's coming today, and I found out it's
not an ant. Although the world calls them velvet ants,
they're in the wasp family. It's a wasp. But here's
the fun thing. Now, since you stepped on one and
thought you were gonna die because it was so painful,
which I.

Speaker 5 (21:44):
Believed you, she says, it wasn't true.

Speaker 1 (21:47):
Explain that how bad it was. They used to call
on count ants too horrible. We have seen since that
time two more in our house. One of them crawled
across my arm and I flicked that things so fast,
oh my gosh, and then we Murphy killed it with
his phone. And then the other one we saw crawling

(22:07):
across the top of our bed. Comfort freaked me out there.
I couldn't even sleep that night. Okay, So I told
him that, and you know what he said, He said
that is weird and rare because these things are not communal.
So I was like when I called him, I'm like,
I'm so scared that there's like a bunch of them
behind the wall. And he's like, no, they're solitary. It's

(22:30):
they're rare that you see him. So the fact that
you've got three is weird.

Speaker 5 (22:35):
Seriously, Yeah, he.

Speaker 1 (22:36):
Said that, he said, they're not communical, communal, so don't
worry that there's like a big nest of them. They
don't even have typical wasp nest, but they're in the
their wasp without wings.

Speaker 3 (22:45):
That actually sounds even worse if they're individuals. How do
you get them all? Yeah, well they could be anywhere.

Speaker 2 (22:50):
Well, he's gonna come spray, that's what everywhere?

Speaker 1 (22:54):
Yeah, everywhere, And I just think, beware, he's going to spray.
And then doesn't that sometimes crank them up like oh,
something smells funny and let me get out of here.
You know, isn't that cool and crazy to know that
we have a rare thing and we have three of them?

Speaker 2 (23:11):
Just so lucky special.

Speaker 5 (23:12):
It was more fun when we were calling them velvet ants.

Speaker 1 (23:14):
Actually coming out Hollywood and share with you every little
thing we know about El Camino, a Breaking Bad Movie.

Speaker 7 (23:24):
Jody's Hollywood outside.

Speaker 1 (23:26):
I know you guys saw the news about the breaking
bad movie trailer dropping this weekend, So I'm gonna get
you all.

Speaker 2 (23:33):
Up to speed.

Speaker 1 (23:33):
So it was like six years ago that we said
goodbye to Walter White and just six I think it
was six years ago. Count you know, go back and
do the.

Speaker 4 (23:40):
Mathterfe last year.

Speaker 1 (23:41):
So this and we've heard about this project. You know,
you know that I'm saying Jesse Pinkman, but just Aaron
Paul being involved in a breaking bad movie and perhaps
Brian Cranston. We don't know for sure about that. But
this weekend Netflix released a teaser trailer. The movie is
called El Camino, a Breaking Bad Movie, and it is

(24:03):
the police interviewing Skinny Pete.

Speaker 2 (24:06):
Remember him, Yeah, I.

Speaker 7 (24:08):
Heard about what all they did to him make sure
he kept cooking. So sorry, I don't know what to
tell you.

Speaker 4 (24:16):
No way, I'm helping you people put Jesse Pinkman back
inside a cage.

Speaker 1 (24:20):
Oh that's a teaser trailer, meaning it's just short. It's
just a quick, you know, view of him being interviewed.
Because you know what happened at the end of the season,
the end of the show. So this is definitely a
movie about Jesse Pinkman and Aaron Paul. Actor Aaron Paul
said this in an interview. By the time the media got,

(24:41):
you know, a whold of the story, got wind of
the story that they're going to make a breaking bad movie,
he said, it was.

Speaker 2 (24:46):
It had already, it was happened and it was in
the can.

Speaker 5 (24:48):
Wow.

Speaker 1 (24:49):
They did it so secretly, in fact, that he started
working in and around Albuquerque again and people were like, Ooh,
are you going to be on Better Call Saul, And
he was like, no, dude, sorry, I wish what he
was actually doing was this. Yeah, it's called El Camino,
a breaking bad movie. And he did say all I
can say is I think people will be really happy
with what they see.

Speaker 4 (25:09):
Benny escaping an El Camino stop it.

Speaker 1 (25:12):
Yes, Okay, And you know this is a Vince Gilligan project,
written by put Together, so it's going to be as
authentic as you want it to be. So are you
ready for when this is sooner than we thought? As well?
On Netflix October eleventh, this year. This year, babies, you're
talking two months from now, so you have a couple
of months to go back and watch Breaking Bad if

(25:34):
you really want it to take a long time, but
all of it. Yeah, but they do say it's the
best rebinge possibly ever Breaking Bad. The movie is called
El Camino a Breaking Bad Movie on Netflix, October eleventh.

Speaker 7 (25:48):
Murphy, Sam and Jody, You are a Hollywood outsider.

Speaker 1 (25:51):
They're outsider on the way for you. At eight thirty
this morning, getting you ready for the VMA's tonight. Guys,
I'm so excited that it's a new week because I'm
gonna do another Facebook live this week. I got back
to doing it last week and I realize I'm addicted.
It's my favorite way to communicate with you. If you
listen to this show, join me Tuesday afternoon. It Tuesday

(26:13):
afternoon in the probably if I'm not running errands, I'll
do it from home or something with Champ with my
boyfriend Dog.

Speaker 3 (26:20):
If you like the Murphy, Sam and Jody Facebook page,
then you'll be You'll get a notification when so that way,
if you're three minutes off whatever, that's fine.

Speaker 2 (26:26):
As soon as it was.

Speaker 1 (26:27):
It's been a while since I've done it, just because
life gets busy, and you know you you don't think
to well, let me go live and talk to everybody,
But as soon as I was underway, it's just delightful
because everybody's there saying, hey, I'm here, Hey, I'm here,
and it's just so in the moment, I love it.
And you never know what somebody's gonna say or what
somebody's gonna ask you, and it's just too cool.

Speaker 4 (26:49):
Yeah, and you don't have to deal with Murphy and
I either. It is kind of.

Speaker 1 (26:52):
Different from that regard, although we should probably do another
one from in studio again soon or guys, you can
come with me. We'll just go in the car somewhere.

Speaker 4 (27:00):
Kind of like carpool carry.

Speaker 2 (27:01):
And it's kind of fun like that.

Speaker 1 (27:02):
But get your questions ready, let us know what you
want to talk about and hear about. You can even
send what you want to cover in Facebook Live to
our Facebook page or Instagram.

Speaker 4 (27:11):
Now.

Speaker 7 (27:12):
Coming up with Murphy's Sam and Jody later.

Speaker 3 (27:14):
If the Sower Jody has another Hollywood Outsider for you
coming up next, though, What you need to know before
you become best friends with Jody, what she may do
to you that she's done to me and the Sam
and the Bailey and the chat. So I'm gonna let
you in a little secret about Jody as her husband.

Speaker 5 (27:30):
Well, all right, and uh, this is.

Speaker 1 (27:33):
Just about what happened this morning with us getting under
each other's skin a little bit in here.

Speaker 3 (27:37):
No that soundesting No, really, I was going to be
much more simple than that. It was something Sam noticed
the other day. This is what happens if you become
friends with Jody, is that there's a chance that the
longer she knows you, the more that she's going to
give you a nickname, or she's gonna call you by
some other name, a variation that you're Okay, yes.

Speaker 4 (28:01):
I mean you used to call producer Emily m she
is Chad?

Speaker 2 (28:05):
Is I called Chad?

Speaker 4 (28:06):
Chad?

Speaker 2 (28:07):
Play longer Chadwick? And wait? Do you first of all,
you don't mind you.

Speaker 5 (28:11):
Child, not at all?

Speaker 2 (28:12):
Do you like it?

Speaker 6 (28:13):
Yeah, I've been It's not the first time I've been
called Chadwick.

Speaker 2 (28:16):
Okay, I kind of wish that.

Speaker 3 (28:18):
But but Jodie is the nicknamer type, you know what
I mean, she always has. Well you understand that with
your kids, you kind of expect that. Yeah, Tay Thebes,
you know, instead of Taylor and Phoebe and.

Speaker 1 (28:28):
Scoop and Sammy. I've called you Sammy, yeah, not as
much though. No, no, it's not that I'm you know,
you're feeling out.

Speaker 5 (28:36):
She also refers to herself as that showed.

Speaker 8 (28:40):
Yeah, excuse me, not often because that's not cool.

Speaker 4 (28:45):
Is there a Murphy one?

Speaker 1 (28:46):
Besides, there's a lot of Murphy ones, you know about
sparky sparky, and then there's not I.

Speaker 2 (28:51):
Can't say when I'm mad or whatever.

Speaker 3 (28:53):
So but it's really funny, even even people that we
haven't known that long. You know, one of one of
Taylor's friends is name is Roger, and she.

Speaker 1 (29:05):
I just want to say this though, for anybody that
I nickname and if you need to know.

Speaker 2 (29:11):
That it's it means that I like you.

Speaker 1 (29:13):
It's the sort of same thing where I've been around
men my whole life who pick on me. They meet
me and I'm twenty minutes in and I'm getting picked on,
and it took me my whole life to understand that's
a it's a it's an endearing thing. So if I
give you a nickname Bailey, like B. I've thrown that
out a few times, Hey, B, it's it's means that
I like you.

Speaker 3 (29:33):
Yeah, you know she'll occasionally call you Sam. Well that's right, Sam, Well,
that's true. That's because of Samuel Tarley.

Speaker 5 (29:41):
Yes, Game of.

Speaker 3 (29:42):
Thrones, but no changing the sign please to you know Murph,
Samuell and the.

Speaker 7 (29:47):
Jode coming up next with Murphy's Sam and Josey.

Speaker 1 (29:51):
So friends of ours invited us over for the weekend,
me and Murphy and a big surprise waiting when we
walked in that door.

Speaker 2 (29:57):
Tell you about it next, Sam.

Speaker 1 (30:01):
You know, Murphy and I moved into this new house
not long ago, and it's down the street from our
very dear friends Randy and Carol.

Speaker 2 (30:06):
Handy Randy, Handy Randy, that's right.

Speaker 3 (30:08):
It's weird how you know you get all these years
and then you're right down the street from a friend
you went.

Speaker 2 (30:13):
To come sweets lovely.

Speaker 1 (30:15):
So when we first moved in, we I was like,
let's hang out more as friends. And so I started
this thing like Sunday morning coffee every once in a while,
and the day before, like Saturday before, I'll just send
out of text, who wants to do Sunday morning coffee?
And we've always done at our house, like show up
at nine. I've got coffee, and they we've done it
two or three times at.

Speaker 4 (30:34):
Our house coffee breakfast.

Speaker 2 (30:36):
Well, you know, it's funny.

Speaker 1 (30:37):
I invited everybody just for coffee, and then when everybody's there,
I will scramble eggs and make bacon and we eat
breakfast together.

Speaker 2 (30:42):
It's really nice. And you just visit.

Speaker 1 (30:44):
You do an hour, an hour and a half, and
everybody goes on about their weekend and day.

Speaker 5 (30:47):
I thought I was the one that scrambled the eggs,
but it's all right.

Speaker 2 (30:50):
I did the bacon and all the prep and you
scramble them. That's right, King.

Speaker 5 (30:56):
Recalling correctly.

Speaker 4 (30:57):
I'm sorry the eggs I was eating I made.

Speaker 1 (31:00):
I'm sorry, but anyway, so, but we'd always done it
at our house. None of the other friend group has
ever written offered. And then Saturday night, while Murphy and
Iron are in the country date, I get a text, hey, guys,
Woul would like to do coffee tomorrow morning, and I
sent back at your house or mine, and Randy's wife
says our house, like okay, yes, you know. So Sunday

(31:21):
morning we go down there to their house and I'm
thinking just coffee and I'm hoping there's food, but I
don't want to ask for it.

Speaker 2 (31:28):
Wait, Randy has.

Speaker 1 (31:30):
A waffle station set up, and we had the most
incredible homemade waffles and coffee and he had strawberries and
blueberries and raspberries and maple syrup and honey and whipped cream.

Speaker 2 (31:46):
Oh my god, it was incredible at level.

Speaker 5 (31:48):
It was like waking up at the Holiday Inn.

Speaker 2 (31:50):
Hell bacon.

Speaker 4 (31:51):
Yeah, okay, So did it run through your head that
next time? We got to kick it up now?

Speaker 2 (31:55):
No, No, I mean that's all.

Speaker 4 (31:56):
I'm thinking, Oh, throwing down the gartlet here.

Speaker 1 (31:59):
No, No, No, that last time I did biscuits. Also, Murphy
was doing eggs and I did biscuits, and there was bacon.

Speaker 2 (32:04):
That's a lot, and there was all kinds of good
stuff to put on it.

Speaker 4 (32:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (32:06):
So I mean, I mean the level is fine, the
playing field is even. But I just thought, man, waffle station. Yeah, man,
it was such a journey.

Speaker 5 (32:16):
And he used a John Best recipe and he made
him from scratch. Wow.

Speaker 2 (32:20):
It was in fact, the waffle by itself before putting
anything on. It was good.

Speaker 7 (32:26):
Coming out Hollywood, You'll get you ready.

Speaker 2 (32:29):
Lets you know who's performing at the VMA's tonight.

Speaker 7 (32:35):
Judy's Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 1 (32:37):
I definitely planned to watch the opening at least of
the VMA's tonight because Taylor Swift is opening the show
and the album just drops, so it's all about Lover
right now. But other performances tonight on the VMAs ariana
Grande Billie Eilish. That'll be a big one little mass
look for that.

Speaker 5 (32:56):
That's right.

Speaker 1 (32:57):
Video Vanguard Award being given this year to Missy Ellett Elliott.
You will also perform, so that's going to be pretty hot.
I think they're gonna save that for later in the show.
You do that later in the show, you make everybody
wait for that. The VMA's hosted tonight by comedian Sebastian Maniscalco.

Speaker 4 (33:15):
That means it's going to be funny if you haven't
ever seen his Netflix specials.

Speaker 1 (33:18):
Huh, Although hosting a show and keeping things moving and
still being funny is hard to especially with the MGV crowd.
That's tonight. They're alive from New Jersey this time. Even
Queen Latifa's expected to make an appearance. VMA's tonight up
to date with Judy's Hollywood Outsider.

Speaker 4 (33:37):
You know, we missed the milestone last week twenty five
years ago that Jeff Bezos put the first posted the
first ad for employees at Amazon.

Speaker 2 (33:46):
What makes you think I missed it?

Speaker 1 (33:47):
We had an Amazon box show up and had Taylor
Swift all over it. No love her album. You know
she did that deal with Amazon or she was on
Prime Day. Yeah, well, and you know conjunction.

Speaker 4 (33:56):
With that concert and all that.

Speaker 1 (33:58):
Yeah yeah, Amazon Boxes covered with Taylor at the time.

Speaker 4 (34:00):
Murphy, you'll enjoy this. He didn't know that he whether
he was going to what the name of it was
going to be. He didn't have Amazon as his name.
He was looking at Awake dot com, Cadabra dot com,
Relentless dot com, and brows dot com. Wow.

Speaker 2 (34:14):
Here, that's interesting.

Speaker 4 (34:14):
By the way, here's a little bit of the ad.
Well capitalized start up seeking extremely talented developers to help
pioneer commerce on the Internet. And it says must be
willing to relocate the Seattle area. We will help cover
moving cost. Your compensation will and this is the best part.
Your compensation will include meaningful equity ownership. Oh boy, I
think about the people that answered that ad and got

(34:35):
that jest right exactly.

Speaker 5 (34:37):
Yeah, they're doing pretty well.

Speaker 4 (34:39):
Right.

Speaker 7 (34:42):
Sam's got music News The.

Speaker 4 (34:44):
VNA's Video Music Awards tonight on m t V and
opening up the show Miss t Swizzle today, keep it.

Speaker 2 (34:54):
Coming, jay Z.

Speaker 4 (34:55):
That's for all you Swifties out there.

Speaker 1 (34:57):
She's opening the show and I say that's big. I'm
not miss I'm missing opening.

Speaker 4 (35:02):
Yeah, And this is kind of interesting. This is the
ten year anniversary of the time when she won for
a Video of the Year and Kanye jumped on stage
and told her to hang on for just a second.

Speaker 5 (35:14):
I'm really happy for you.

Speaker 2 (35:15):
I'm let you finish.

Speaker 5 (35:16):
But Beyonce had one of the best video.

Speaker 2 (35:19):
That's the work. I'm gonna let you finish. It still
bothers me that he said that.

Speaker 4 (35:23):
Yeah, there was a little behind the scenes maneuvering too
after the fact, and Beyonce was asked to bring Tailor
up when she won her award later so that they
could kind of smooth things over. Also found out that
Pink was in the audience. After Kanye did that and
got up on stage and did all that, Pink went
around to the front row, got in his face and
started wagging her finger and yelling at it.

Speaker 2 (35:44):
She did.

Speaker 4 (35:44):
Nobody has reported what it was she said to him,
but you know you can use your imagination.

Speaker 5 (35:49):
I don't think you messed with pink.

Speaker 4 (35:50):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (35:51):
No, enjoy the rest of your workday and coming up
