Speaker 1 (00:03):
And Jody finally has me in a good habit Sam
that makes life of use. Here in the morning, I
just always forget in the rush. If you get your
clothes out the night before, that's one last thing you
get hung up on in the morning train like the yeah,
exactly make your lines right. And so I do great
on the mornings where I've already done that the night before.
Right when I fudge it, you know, there's inevitably there's
(00:23):
you know, the sox soap match or the shirt that
or I can't find this belt all that right.
Speaker 2 (00:27):
The few times that I fudge that in our lit
in my life, it's because I'm so comfortable where I'm
sitting or whatever, you know what I'm saying, where I'm
snuggled up in bed, and I don't want to move
to get up to lake clothes out. So I'm like,
I'll just handle it in the morning, and I tell myself,
I have an idea of what I'm grabbing, and it
never works out and I'm never happy.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
And I've kind of had in that situation.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
This morning, I laid my clothes out, what I was
going to wear, the shirts hanging, I threw the pants down.
I'm like that and laid them across the laundry basket
and put it and literally, I'm lucky. I'm glad that
we don't have like I don't have hours in the
morning to get ready. I literally get dressed and jet
I have to get out. Yeah, it's me too, That's
one reason I lay close out. But by the time
(01:08):
I was halfway to work, I'm like, I'm wearing the
wrong pants. I'm true, I'm saying I should have gotten
rid of these. I'm wearing the wrong pants. The pants
that are uncomfortable. They don't fit me right, Like they
don't fall at my natural waist, and that's where I
want pants to sit, and where my natural waist used
to be. Feels like you know what I'm saying. And
(01:29):
so when you wear the wrong pants, you feel it
all day long.
Speaker 4 (01:31):
It's like, oh, well, I've had that happen before. I've
had a shirt too tight different times. Every now and then,
I'll wear an undershirt, a colored undershirt that hangs out
from the I'm noticed, yes, and that drives me insane.
Up I sit there and I pull it up and
pull it up and it comes out, and that drives
me nuts. And it's like I have to spend the
entire day like this.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
It's a simple little when one. I know, it's such
a little nothing problem. But I'm wearing pants today that
I told myself I should have just not taken him
out of the closet because I don't want to wear
them anymore.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
They feel weird. So I'm in the wrong.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
Pop, I'm sorry. Yeah, Well, just for the record, I
feel good today. I'm not confined feeling good.
Speaker 3 (02:10):
It's all that laying and out ahead of time.
Speaker 4 (02:12):
Babe, you gotta have twenty pairs of Chucks. There's a problem.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
I'm right, right, Color, I have twenty bracelets. Don't worry,
all right, coming up in a little bit. This is
so interesting when our happiness peaks in our lives at
what age, because there's kind of an average age where
happiness peaks earlier in life and later in life. Yeah,
it's not too late for you, Sam, right, Yeah, first
(02:38):
one of the morning, Why are Justin Bieber and Barbis
streisand spending time together?
Speaker 3 (02:44):
That's next.
Speaker 5 (02:48):
Trending now Judy's Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 3 (02:50):
Sam, did you hear about Justin Bieber spending time with No? Actually, no,
not at all.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
Justin Bieber, who's at the Really, I guess he's at
a peak of his career, right, Yeah, spending time with
Barbara Streisand is Thatt a head scratcher for you? I mean, well,
raight not to sing. The deal is justin. Bieber's manager
is Scooter Braun, right, And Scooter Braun has been spending
time with Barbaris streisand's a long time manager because and
(03:18):
they worked it out to get the two together, because
she is mentoring him a little bit on how some
staying power is. I'm going to double check the date
on the story because I thought it was an April
full story. Yeah, but apparently it's happening. It's apparently it's happening.
They've met at least once, and they have no plans
to work together. You can't imagine them working together two
(03:42):
Maybe that would be.
Speaker 3 (03:42):
Funny, though.
Speaker 1 (03:44):
Maybe the softer side of justice is what we'll get
out of this.
Speaker 4 (03:48):
Do you think he's going to pay attention to it?
Speaker 2 (03:50):
Yes, he believes she has real staying power and has
dealt with million many everything that he will deal with me.
Speaker 1 (03:55):
I would think that. I mean, she's an icon period
end of story. So if you're one of those who's
lucky you have to get to spend time with her.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
Not just that though. It's like a mentoring thing. Have
you ever had a mentor? How important that actually can be?
Speaker 1 (04:08):
Absolutely I've got like four or five mentors. Yeah, I
spend time with them really kind of on an ad
needed basis. We just kind of switch off. It's sort
of an inkind thing that makes sense, you know what
I mean, because it's not something you're gonna do every day.
Speaker 3 (04:21):
But justin Bieber doesn't need to do this every day,
but is a mentor.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
There needs to be enough distance for them to be
able to coach with that being too close to does
that makes sense?
Speaker 3 (04:29):
So heavy? So like you could be a good mentor
to somebody.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
I don't know you think.
Speaker 4 (04:33):
So, Yeah, I don't have any mentors. I have tor mentors.
By the way, sham get into that.
Speaker 2 (04:40):
No music planned for those two together. Just actually she's
helping him have staying power, and the word is he
really respects her staying power.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
I will also a little bit more.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
A little bit more about Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez.
J Rod Jennifer introduced him to her mother, Uh big serious.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
Wait wait wait wait what about isn't usually the other
way around where you do the you know, she should
be meeting his family.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
I believe first I don't think does firsties matter? I
don't think so. Family's family, and this is serious.
Speaker 1 (05:21):
It sounds like it.
Speaker 4 (05:22):
First these don't.
Speaker 5 (05:23):
Matter, Murphy, Sam and Jody, you are holly.
Speaker 2 (05:27):
Let's talk about the times in your life when your
happiness peaks. We now know like ages where your happiness peak.
Speaker 1 (05:34):
Rather you're saying that it all goes downhill after a certain.
Speaker 4 (05:37):
Say that in fact, they all have to choose the
same age.
Speaker 2 (05:39):
No, there's still a lot of hope for you, though, Sam,
where do you think you peak in life for happiness?
They've determined two ages where you actually peak. It doesn't
mean you're not happy at other times, but at peak
where you're happiest.
Speaker 1 (05:55):
Should you should you peak or should it be the
kind of thing that's just like if you maintain a
healthy attitude, you're good for life marriage.
Speaker 2 (06:02):
So that's not the that's not the point of like
the study.
Speaker 3 (06:06):
I was just saying that it does.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
Peak, and that's true for anything. You have lows and
highs and everything.
Speaker 1 (06:11):
Right, I have two Can I take a guess Jody, Sure, Okay,
high school, when you graduate high school, your high school years,
and then when you become a grandparent.
Speaker 3 (06:20):
You're not that far off, but you're off.
Speaker 4 (06:22):
I'm thinking low twenties and the early fifties.
Speaker 2 (06:26):
Okay, you're you're off also, Okay, you're close.
Speaker 3 (06:31):
On one though. Okay.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
They say happiness peaks first in your life around the
age twenty three ish, around twenty three, you're feeling independent, Finally,
you've got freedoms you've begged for forever. You're hopeful about career,
you're finding where you fit.
Speaker 3 (06:48):
You don't feel as loss as the few years before.
Speaker 1 (06:50):
Interesting, you know, because that was awesome when I was eighteen,
I was a ball of stress. When I was twenty three.
Speaker 2 (06:55):
Well, you never fit the mole murphy and you feel
like you're gonna live forever that point you're twenty three,
I mean, yeah, what's time?
Speaker 4 (07:03):
You know what?
Speaker 2 (07:04):
The futures aren't ticking by, right, So that's a point
of high of happiness, the high point of happiness for
a lot of people around that age. And then again
around the age of sixty nine. Well, I know, yeah,
happy people they feel that they know that they've gone
through the hardest parts of their life. Hopefully they have
and even if they do have hard things coming, they
(07:24):
know that they can handle it. They've seen the you know,
hopefully children are raised and successful and there's a satisfaction
in that, like all right, we did okay kind of thing.
It's usually the careers behind you and you are just
enjoying the little things in life and what's what's right
and what's really important.
Speaker 1 (07:43):
Well, and in twenty seventeen, being sixty nine is not
like the train's about to pull back in the station,
right right.
Speaker 3 (07:49):
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Do you know do you see what's
interesting about those two ages?
Speaker 2 (07:53):
The first one, the twenty three is mean you you
kind of put childhood behind you, yeah, okay, and then
at the end of the around sixty nine.
Speaker 1 (08:00):
You're putting your whole life.
Speaker 3 (08:02):
But it comes to train. I just think that's kind
of cool. It just means peaks.
Speaker 2 (08:06):
It doesn't mean you can't be happy in other places,
but that's where you can expect it to really soar
for many Anyway, I love it.
Speaker 1 (08:13):
So I have another round to look for and forward to.
Unfortunately it's way in the future.
Speaker 5 (08:17):
Yes, yeah, Sam has music news.
Speaker 4 (08:20):
Yes, Steve Perry is getting back together with Journey. Really,
I'll tell.
Speaker 5 (08:25):
You Sam's got music News.
Speaker 4 (08:30):
As you know, this Friday is the swearing in ceremony
or the induction Ceremony's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Rock News one of the groups that is being sworn in,
sworn in and sworn in again. This isn't the Supreme Court.
Is a Journey.
Speaker 3 (08:46):
All off of that that is so huge.
Speaker 4 (08:49):
And you know, Steve Perry is no longer the singer Journey,
but a lot of bands when they get inducted into
the Hall, they kind of bring back the older members,
so everybody that got them at.
Speaker 2 (08:59):
This point, and Star Perry is a huge part of
the reason they're there.
Speaker 4 (09:03):
Right. So Jonathan Kane, who plays the keyboards in the band, says,
you know what, they've never heard from Steve about whether
he wanted to show up, whether he wanted to take part,
and they don't have any They were like, we want
him to be there. He was the band, you know,
and so he said he spoke to him last week
and and Steve Perry says, yes, I will be there.
He is going to accept the award. Now, the downside
(09:25):
of that is he says he doesn't know if Steve
is going to perform, hang around to perform. He says,
he's going to be there as part of the band
to get his award, but they don't know if he's
going to sing or just leave that up to Arnell Pineda.
Speaker 1 (09:35):
I don't understand that. Why, I mean, why not one
more time? And this has been twenty years he's not
been with the bear voice.
Speaker 4 (09:41):
He doesn't know I was his voice. I mean many
a thing, run through it a couple of times.
Speaker 3 (09:47):
I'm never going to perform with you again.
Speaker 1 (09:49):
I know.
Speaker 4 (09:49):
If they run through it a few times and it
sounds good, I'm sure he might do it. But it's
supposedly the voice. He's not sure he's up to speed.
And now because he's not loud high Stern Perry anymore.
Speaker 3 (09:59):
Sure he can't do that forever necessarily.
Speaker 4 (10:01):
Well anyway, Elton John is taking I guess credit for
the year long break that Ed sheeran tuck.
Speaker 3 (10:11):
You know, tell him to do it, he said.
Speaker 4 (10:14):
You know, he's real good friends with him. And before
Divide came out or after when he was you know,
ride and high, he said, Ed was everywhere. He said,
even I was sick of Ed and I even told Ed,
I'm tired of it, go away for a year, and
he said, that's what he did. He took his girlfriend,
went to the Far East eight toward everything. He said,
he actually put on a little too much weight, so
he had to advise Ed to trim it back and down. Yeah,
(10:38):
had gotten shape, came back and gave us Divide.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
That's what Taylor Swift is doing. He's taking a break
for sure from the world.
Speaker 1 (10:44):
You know what, in that world where your creativity is everything,
you probably need that time to completely.
Speaker 2 (10:49):
Rena You know, all people need that time. But yes,
most people can't take a year off that you know
what I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (10:55):
We could try music.
Speaker 3 (10:59):
Knew hearing from you most of all.
Speaker 2 (11:01):
So coming up next to your email answered and our
producer's mail bag, what's on the way, David.
Speaker 6 (11:05):
Yeah, Becky has a great show suggestion to watch on
Netflix and it may or may not be a family one,
depending on how you look at it.
Speaker 3 (11:12):

Speaker 1 (11:26):
That's okay, but maybe you didn't know that that you know,
we do what you hear. You can actually see on
our YouTube channel. Murphy Sami Jody dot com to get
the link.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
Murphy, Sam and Jody The producer's mail bag, David, what's
in your bag today?
Speaker 6 (11:38):
Well, we're going to get to Becky's new Netflix show
that she suggests for us to watch. But first let's
talk about something we haven't discussed in a bit, and
that's Sam's dating life.
Speaker 4 (11:47):
Yeah, Sam, just beat that bad horse.
Speaker 2 (11:51):
You don't love discussing it, but you get a lot
of interest. Everybody's interested in.
Speaker 4 (11:57):
Sam checks Digmy because I'm funny.
Speaker 1 (12:00):
That's right, well and humble.
Speaker 6 (12:02):
Laurie says, good morning everyone. Enjoy listening to you guys
in the morning. Probably if I listened more in the podcast,
I might know the answer to this question.
Speaker 1 (12:11):
It's okay, we'll answer it now.
Speaker 6 (12:13):
Sam is single. I know that, But my question is
is he currently dating anyone?
Speaker 4 (12:18):
Currently?
Speaker 6 (12:19):
No?
Speaker 4 (12:20):
But are you dating?
Speaker 3 (12:22):
No means no, I'm not.
Speaker 4 (12:26):
No, I haven't d over a year. Huh.
Speaker 3 (12:30):
That was a year ago when you went on those
walking dates and talking dates.
Speaker 4 (12:34):
That was a year ago.
Speaker 3 (12:34):
Yeah, what happened to her.
Speaker 4 (12:37):
We discussed that.
Speaker 3 (12:40):
What I'm asking you is this is coming. She's still
in your life in any way, shape or.
Speaker 4 (12:43):
Form, not even a Facebook friend. I always realize that. Okay,
look for the reminder Jody.
Speaker 6 (12:49):
All right, we'll get Sam out of the hot seat
and move on to Becky's comment. Thank you by the way,
she says, Hey, guys, just finished binge watching a show
on Netflix called Thirteen Reasons Why. It is an some
show that I encourage all parents and their teenagers to watch.
It's about a boy whose crush commits suicide, but instead
of leaving behind a letter, she leaves cassette tapes that
give the events that led up to her tragic issues.
Speaker 3 (13:11):
Right right right.
Speaker 6 (13:13):
It brings up a ton of subjects that can be
sometimes difficult for parents to talk to their teens about,
but is a must. Anyways, thanks for keeping me entertained
in the morning, God bless.
Speaker 3 (13:22):
What's it called thirteen Reasons Why?
Speaker 1 (13:24):
I'm about to tell you the story of my life,
more specifically, why my life ended.
Speaker 3 (13:29):
Ah? Is this the one that Selena Gomez was involved?
Speaker 4 (13:32):
Yes? Yeah. When she was fifteen, she read the book
and bought the rights to it when she was fifteen. Awesome,
it's taking this long for her to get it made.
Speaker 1 (13:40):
That sounds creepy to me.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
Thank you, begg It sounds i don't know, interesting and
maybe important. It might help people, right, Thank you, Becky,
reach out anytime. We love hearing from you on Facebook
or Instagram.
Speaker 5 (13:53):
Up next, Jody's got the Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 2 (13:56):
Well, the FAA has made a decision about whether Harrison
Ford your Han Solo will keep his pilot's license after
that latest incident.
Speaker 3 (14:03):
Tell you about it.
Speaker 5 (14:04):
Next, Jodie's Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 2 (14:08):
Hey, remember when Harrison Ford landed his plane in the
wrong place recently and he almost landed on top of
a passenger plane full of like hundreds of people.
Speaker 4 (14:17):
Yeah, he was a hip Yeah, landing on the taxiway
instead of the runway. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (14:21):
So he's been kind of under investigation for that.
Speaker 2 (14:23):
Yeah, you know, he was facing some he was being
looked at closely by the faas he should have been. Well,
they've concluded that Harrison Ford you'r Han Solo will not
be disciplined for this incident at all, and his attorney
said the look the agency acknowledged that he has a
long history of compliance. So basically it's because of who
(14:44):
he has been all these years, not because of one incident.
Speaker 4 (14:46):
Didn't he have a plane crash like a year ago.
Speaker 3 (14:49):
Or it was a couple of years ago, right, I mean, I.
Speaker 4 (14:52):
Know he's made the Kessel run.
Speaker 5 (14:53):
I never heard of the millennium fault? Should I have?
It's a ship that made the Kessel run and less
than twelve parson.
Speaker 4 (14:59):
Maybe that thats why they gave him off.
Speaker 3 (15:01):
Maybe, so I'm going to say this famous.
Speaker 2 (15:03):
My first reaction to someone landing on a taxiway and
getting confused and almost, you know, crashing into a passenger
playing with two hundred people, is maybe this person shouldn't
be flying.
Speaker 4 (15:16):
It's my first driving.
Speaker 2 (15:18):
But I don't know anything about an aviation. But they've
been investigating since February.
Speaker 4 (15:24):
You've been flying for that long. You know what a
runway in a taxiway look like.
Speaker 3 (15:29):
Right.
Speaker 2 (15:29):
But what they're saying is that they are acknowledging his
history of compliance and his cooperative attitude during this entire investigation.
That he's held a pilot's license for more than twenty years,
has logged more than five thousand hours in the air,
and he had never been the subject of any sort
of problem before. And I'm thinking because he's also Harrison Forward,
(15:52):
so you're.
Speaker 4 (15:52):
Saying that they probably sent him some motographs and pictures.
Speaker 3 (15:56):
You hope not right?
Speaker 2 (15:57):
You hope not. I don't think so, right, But he's
not going to be He's still got his license, right,
so that means he's probably going up today.
Speaker 5 (16:05):
So stay off the taxiway, Murphy, Sam and Jody you
are Hollywood.
Speaker 2 (16:11):
Are coming up in your next Hollywood Outsider. At seven
fifty five this morning, JK. Rowling offers some advice to
aspiring authors. Don't you want to hear what she has
to say? Maybe of all people will do that. On
the way, Sam's being self conscious about his eyes, so
I understand you. You need to look into his eyes later.
(16:35):
You guys can feel your romance this morning. You know,
we'll post a picture later and you can judge. Ladies,
looking into Sam's eyes if something's wrong with him.
Speaker 4 (16:43):
Might land myself a date that way.
Speaker 3 (16:45):
That's right, that's right. Guys.
Speaker 2 (16:47):
Did you hear about the Hugh Jackman thing with him
riding a mechanical elephant in New York?
Speaker 3 (16:53):
The other day? He is playing p T.
Speaker 4 (16:58):
Barnum in a New movie the circus creator.
Speaker 2 (17:02):
Yes, and he's playing him, and so there's a scene,
of course where he's riding an elephant. And because the
circus stopped using elephants recently, they didn't want to use
a real elephant. And I'm down with that, although that
made me think, do you remember when we went to
that Renaissance festival and our girls recently wrote an elephant?
Speaker 1 (17:21):
Yeah, just like in the Middle Ages when it's probably
a good thing they didn't let Hugh get on a
real elephant, you know, because those wolverine things, man, those
are sharp.
Speaker 2 (17:31):
When the girls were riding that, I was like, oh
my gosh, what that must feel like.
Speaker 3 (17:36):
That must be the most the craziest feeling ever.
Speaker 2 (17:39):
I'm not saying I want to because I don't, but
I mean, the first time ever got on a horse,
it was crazy, the crazy.
Speaker 1 (17:44):
Good well, and there's nothing the way that they you know,
the way the park and all that handled it. I
don't think there was anything wrong with that. What you're
talking about is a movie set where you can take
twelve hours to shoot one scene.
Speaker 3 (17:57):
I know, the poor elephant, right, you wrote an elephant?
Speaker 4 (17:59):
Say he has a kid?
Speaker 5 (18:01):
Cool?
Speaker 3 (18:02):
It's crazy, right, Yeah?
Speaker 4 (18:03):
Anyway, the legs, Your legs have to go really wide
to reach around the elephant. Yeah. How much did it
cost to ride it? Oh? It was peanuts? Yeah, right
the way. He loved that one up there for me.
Speaker 2 (18:16):
By the way, for you, he rode the mechanical elephant
in while for the filming. And then they're going to
replace it for sunds like Urban Cowboy, They're gonna replace
it with a c GI elephant.
Speaker 3 (18:27):
And but by the way, the movie comes out Christmas.
Speaker 4 (18:30):
Daily, and it is a musical, by the way.
Speaker 3 (18:31):
That and he can do it, really, he can do
a musical. So exciting.
Speaker 2 (18:35):
Coming up with Murphy Sam, kids gather around. We're gonna
get Sam to plug back in his hot glue gun.
Speaker 1 (18:42):
Question for you with that and Sam? Next is the
food dude.
Speaker 4 (18:45):
Yeah, what could be better than a bowl of fruit loops?
How about a fruit loop milkshake?
Speaker 5 (18:54):
Sam always finds the new eats the food dude, And just.
Speaker 4 (18:58):
A couple of weeks you might be able to go
to Burger King you get yourself a fruit loop milkshake.
Speaker 1 (19:04):
Yeah, okay, Well, now how do you suck loops a straw?
That's my question.
Speaker 4 (19:09):
There's a punch line in there somewhere, but you know,
in the past year.
Speaker 1 (19:13):
They would taste great.
Speaker 4 (19:14):
The Burger King has given us mac and cheese fries
and the wapparito. So supposedly they have this, uh, the
fruit loops milkshake that's gonna be debuting.
Speaker 2 (19:23):
Wait, it's gonna taste like this cereal, which means it's
gonna taste like lemon almost.
Speaker 4 (19:27):
It'll take. It'll taste like the milk does when you're
finished with that.
Speaker 1 (19:31):
Remember the trick there, even though all those fruit loops
are different colors.
Speaker 3 (19:35):
Same all the flavor kids. I'm sorry.
Speaker 2 (19:38):
Yeah, I always thought it was a game big fruit explosion,
and it's not.
Speaker 1 (19:42):
Do you know who I learned that from?
Speaker 4 (19:43):
FEBEs Sam, Yeah, froot loops are a mind game, don't fall.
Baseball season of course underway, and uh, some of the
new foods that are being tried out because all these
parks try to outdo each other and the weird foods.
Speaker 2 (19:56):
Sorry, when it comes to a baseball game, you gotta
go hots on with mustard, don't you.
Speaker 4 (20:00):
It's like a law. Yeah, but they got parks this
year doing hot dogs wrapped in tortillas and hot dogs
with all kinds of apparently funnel cakes is the way
to go this year. Funnel cake sandwiches like the Royals
Kansas City Royals they have the pulled Pork Paddy Melt,
which is funnel cakes, barbecue pork, fried onion, cheese, and
bacon all in between it so the funnel cake is
(20:21):
your bun. And also do the Arizona Diamondbacks have one
that's a fried chicken sandwich with funnel cakes and maple
syrup and jelly.
Speaker 1 (20:28):
See I would try that once, of course I would.
I would be all in just to see. I'm sure
it's good.
Speaker 4 (20:33):
It's probably messy as can be.
Speaker 1 (20:34):
Probably do they put powdered sugar on top of that?
Speaker 4 (20:36):
You?
Speaker 3 (20:37):
Of course, I just can't.
Speaker 2 (20:40):
I'm sorry that kind of stuff I can't and also
make a bite, but I can never order it.
Speaker 1 (20:44):
A little too cloggy there for you, Jody very much.
Speaker 4 (20:46):
Don't you use the Ways app, Murphy, Yes, it's for
driving or traffic or whatever.
Speaker 1 (20:50):
It's it's it's owned by Google.
Speaker 4 (20:52):
Yeah, they've added a new feature. They partnered with Dunkin
Donuts and they said this is just the first one,
but through the Ways app, you'll be able to order
your drink so you can swing in and get it
really yeah, and they say they plan to order. They
plan to start partnering soon with pizza places. You could
order your prescription while you're in the ways, app all
that kind of stuff.
Speaker 1 (21:10):
So I can report a traffic incident and order my
coffee at the same time.
Speaker 4 (21:13):
Right, they have a new time and money.
Speaker 3 (21:16):
So such a happy line.
Speaker 5 (21:18):
Coming up next with Murphy, Sam and Joe's.
Speaker 2 (21:20):
Why I Am so glad you bought a hot glue gun.
Sam and Murphy. I'm hoping to mind either.
Speaker 1 (21:29):
Thanks for coming to hang out with us this morning.
We appreciate that you can hang out with us after
the show. Also on the Murphy Save with Jody podcast,
where we just keep on going.
Speaker 4 (21:36):
We loiter and going, they going.
Speaker 2 (21:39):
Sam, I want to talk about this hot blue gun
you bought for Maddie. You bought a little one or
a big one?
Speaker 4 (21:42):
Hellt no one. I didn't realize there was that much.
Speaker 3 (21:45):
Oh yes, yeah.
Speaker 4 (21:47):
I mean they had the cheap ones. I didn't go cheap.
I went like the next level up.
Speaker 1 (21:50):
Yeah, are you like me? You look at the cheap ones,
you go, no, know, this is safe for not.
Speaker 4 (21:54):
As soon as I grab it. I'll burn my hand.
Yeah yeah. And then they have these ones that are
big monster guns. I know, it's like man that looks
like curious draft.
Speaker 1 (22:02):
Did you get the one that has its own little holder.
It's a little safety harness.
Speaker 4 (22:06):
And now I got the woe with the little the
foot rest. But that never works because the cord always
knocks its sideways and you wind up with glue everywhere.
Speaker 2 (22:13):
The reason that you brought is because Mattie was coming
for the weekend. Your daughter Mattie, who's eleven, who's very crafty.
Speaker 3 (22:18):
Right now, you.
Speaker 4 (22:18):
See any instructions by a glue gun, get some beads
and some canvases.
Speaker 2 (22:22):
Yes, you did beat on You guys did that together.
Phoebe is so like this. We still should get them together.
Although I know that your time with her, you don't
want to be with us. I get it. But Phoebe's
this way too, so very crafty. She made slime all
weekend flying that's what it's called. And she made uh
snow glow snow globe. She's always making stuff.
Speaker 1 (22:43):
What's funny. Our oldest daughter, Taylor is about the musical
side of the right, bring creative. Phoebe is the artie
in Archie kind of creative with the beads and the.
Speaker 3 (22:50):
Oh loo lose and the Yeah.
Speaker 2 (22:52):
She if I say something that I'm passionate about, she'll
make me a flyer, draws it and paints it and goes,
you can hang this up at work.
Speaker 3 (23:00):
I mean, she's so cool. It's so sweet.
Speaker 2 (23:02):
Well, anyway, she asked me for a hot glue gun
six months ago, and I'm like, sure, we'll go next
time we're there, remind me, and I forgot to buy
it for her.
Speaker 3 (23:11):
I need to get her that she would love it.
Speaker 1 (23:15):
I thought, well, we're gonna have to lay some ground
rules at the house for you. I'm just saying for
safety art. But I thought we already had a hot
glue gun. Didn't you have one at one point? We
bought glue sticks for something.
Speaker 2 (23:24):
Yeah, years ago before we had children. We don't have
a hot glue gun unless you capped it.
Speaker 3 (23:30):
Mister. No everything.
Speaker 1 (23:31):
I have a soldering iron, but that's not the same things.
Speaker 2 (23:35):
I don't know if I want to play with an
old hot glue gun. Anyway, I'm with you on that. Yes, yes,
So just expect things to be glued down, daddy, because
I'm going to get her one because you just realized
that she.
Speaker 1 (23:46):
But dazzling everything.
Speaker 2 (23:48):
I love that kids this age want to get crafty
because realize how important it is to not to not
always be looking at a device.
Speaker 1 (23:56):
Hey, I agree with that.
Speaker 4 (23:57):
I love it. You can make some dog collars with
beads and stuff on the ooh.
Speaker 3 (24:01):
You're speaking my language for that.
Speaker 5 (24:04):
Coming up and the next five minutes with Murphy, Sam
and Joey.
Speaker 2 (24:07):
All right, Murphy, can are you getting ready to look
into Sam's.
Speaker 1 (24:10):
I don't see anything wrong.
Speaker 2 (24:11):
Wait, he's gonna have to tell you what he thinks
is wrong, and we're gonna post a picture.
Speaker 4 (24:16):
You're gonna go, oh yeah.
Speaker 1 (24:21):
So we have a little mystery going on here this morning.
I don't see Jody says there's something wrong with Sam's I.
Sam says there's something wrong with Sam's I maybe you
can help us on our Facebook page.
Speaker 3 (24:30):
Or earlier this morning, you asked me to look into
your eyes.
Speaker 1 (24:35):
That's great.
Speaker 4 (24:35):
It was voluntary, Murphy.
Speaker 1 (24:36):
All the things that happened before I get here.
Speaker 4 (24:38):
So wait, I saw I was looking at myself on
a video on my iPhone.
Speaker 3 (24:44):
Making a dating profile again.
Speaker 4 (24:45):
Now and when I'm looking at it, my I guess
it's my left r Yeah, it's like half closed, and
I'm thinking, what what what? I don't see that way.
I can see fully, and when I look at it,
when I look in the mirror at home, sometimes it
looks like it's kind of a lazy eye right down
a little.
Speaker 2 (25:02):
Yeah, But in these videos, for some reason, it sticks
out at you.
Speaker 4 (25:05):
It makes me look like it's not even not like
I got punched in the eye.
Speaker 3 (25:08):
And it's what's funny. Here's the deal.
Speaker 2 (25:10):
As soon as you said does my eye look like
it's and I would look and I was like, oh,
but you had to point it out.
Speaker 1 (25:17):
This is happening right now. Is it slight? It's because
I'm sitting on the left side of Sam. I can't
tell you. You don't see like it. It looks like
a oh the lid's a little flatter. Yeah, you need
a lid lift. That's what it looks like. Maybe a
lid lift. Listen to you spill it.
Speaker 3 (25:33):
Are you in the cosmetics industry?
Speaker 4 (25:35):
You got a hot glue gun. I might be able
to take.
Speaker 5 (25:36):
Care of this.
Speaker 2 (25:38):
Not a good idea, but I guess there really is
such a thing as a lid left.
Speaker 3 (25:41):
But I never thought about it.
Speaker 1 (25:42):
Yeah, but that's a very common thing. And I've heard
I've read this because one of my eyes is a
little more closed than the other two. It's a little fatter.
Oh you're yeah, eighteen years of marriage and she's just
noticed one else around.
Speaker 3 (25:56):
No, maybe yours is more slight.
Speaker 1 (25:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (25:59):
And when I look into your eyes, I'm not checking
your lid balance, I'm looking at your eyeball, you know.
And I never noticed it, Sam until you said it.
So the fact that you're pointing it out now all
the chicks are going to look at it now.
Speaker 4 (26:12):
And drinking used to make it really fun because is
everything would get really.
Speaker 1 (26:16):
Yeah ahly good news is since you don't do that anymore.
Speaker 4 (26:19):
Eye problem.
Speaker 2 (26:20):
Yeah, yeah, I guess it's it's not always been that
way those you know, it has not this. Welcome to
life maybe in years, five years. Welcome to life. You
are guaranteed physical changes, even the ones you don't want,
you just are.
Speaker 1 (26:34):
Yeah. What good news is nobody sees it until it's
been pointed out, which now it has to the entire
world for you and I.
Speaker 5 (26:42):
Call or text us eight seven seven three one oh
four msj.
Speaker 2 (26:46):
Okay, Wendy is next she wants to let us know
what big pop culture thing, movie, or TV show she
missed out on, since we all have one of those, Wendy,
you're next.
Speaker 1 (26:59):
So what do you call this? When you've missed a
big thing in pop culture? Whether it's like a movie
or just some fat or something like that, it bypasses
you don't what do you?
Speaker 3 (27:08):
Goddamn what would you call it?
Speaker 1 (27:10):
Put the big out on my forehead?
Speaker 3 (27:12):
You know we all have it that you know.
Speaker 2 (27:13):
This kind of started with producer David never seen Peris Bueller, Sam,
you've never seen La La Land yet, which doesn't count
because it's too you And.
Speaker 1 (27:20):
You know, I thought of another one the other day
and we still have not gone back to binge watching
or anything. The TV show Lost was like one of
those phenomenons.
Speaker 5 (27:27):
Yes, this is our chance to change things, This is
our destiny, and if you're wrong, then everyone on the
island dies.
Speaker 2 (27:33):
I almost didn't want to get into this because people
were so fanatical about it, like do I need something
to take over my psyche?
Speaker 3 (27:40):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (27:40):
If somebody walked up and said anything about that show,
I would look like a complete idiot because I just
don't know.
Speaker 3 (27:45):
And you know how in the stuff I get.
Speaker 1 (27:47):
I do know that, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (27:49):
I'm dreaming the dragons right now.
Speaker 4 (27:50):
A game throne supposedly with Lost though they had hidden
stuff in the show, really had to pay attention and.
Speaker 3 (27:57):
So really excited to rewatch.
Speaker 1 (27:58):
Probably, Yeah, I would have to go back and catch
that one, because that went right.
Speaker 2 (28:01):
Over my so eight seven seven three one zero four
six seven five.
Speaker 3 (28:06):
What did you miss?
Speaker 2 (28:09):
You know after all this time, Wendy, do you have
one I did?
Speaker 4 (28:13):
I missed out on Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Speaker 5 (28:18):
Never saw it.
Speaker 4 (28:19):
Still have friends who still go get dressed up and
go to the midnight things and just stay out of
that altogether.
Speaker 3 (28:26):
I'm the same way, Wendy.
Speaker 2 (28:28):
I have friends who are fanatical about it and we'll
go see it at midnight and whatnot. I saw parts
of it with them, you know, a long time ago,
but I never finished it, and I never it just
didn't grab me.
Speaker 5 (28:40):
Yeah, I'm the same way.
Speaker 6 (28:41):
I've seen bits and pieces, but yeah.
Speaker 3 (28:44):
I'm out of the loop on that not so much.
Speaker 4 (28:46):
I've seen it a few times, but I've never been
a fanatic. It's like if it's on or I happen
to catch it. Yeah, Okay, the music's fun, it's kind
of quirky, but I've never been one of those who
has to go see it constantly.
Speaker 3 (28:58):
Yeah, really, no kid, Yeah, it has that kind of following.
Speaker 5 (29:02):
Love your show. Thank you guys, fantastic, Thanks Wendy.
Speaker 1 (29:05):
We appreciate that. So is you re calling it is
rocky horror picture, so still a thing at all? Now?
Speaker 5 (29:10):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (29:10):
Yes, they just remade it last year on Fox.
Speaker 2 (29:12):
Yeah, they did the live and then and they show it.
They'll show it at midnight sometimes and it'll it'll sell out.
Speaker 3 (29:19):
It's a cult classic.
Speaker 1 (29:20):
Don't you have to go and bring like this queen
or saw a raincoat or something, so you don't.
Speaker 4 (29:24):
You can stay in the back. You don't get they're
shooting the water guns.
Speaker 2 (29:28):
Yeah, look at you, knowing that you're not so lost
after all. Eight seven seven three one zero four six
seven five. Anytime you want to join us Next, Jody's
got the Hollywood Outsider. If you've ever written anything or
aspired to do so, JK. Rowling has some advice for you,
and we've got it for you. Next.
Speaker 5 (29:50):
Jody's Hollywood Outsider JK.
Speaker 2 (29:52):
Rolling has given some advice to aspiring writers and we
all know she pinned one of the most incredible series.
Speaker 3 (30:00):
Of all time.
Speaker 2 (30:02):
Nothing can ever compare to me to that first time
I read all those books and.
Speaker 3 (30:06):
I was just like, what, this is amazing.
Speaker 2 (30:08):
How Harry Potter books? Yeah, only once. I really do
want to go back. And there have been times when
I've started to go back and read them and then
I get, you know, pulled.
Speaker 3 (30:18):
Away into something more.
Speaker 2 (30:20):
I don't know current, but I cannot book. I also
can't wait for the next book from her under that
other name she writes with Robert Gallbright. They're so adult
and it was scary and like, I'm suspense novels anyway.
Speaker 3 (30:36):
JK.
Speaker 2 (30:36):
Rowling, who wrote Harry Potter, has offered advice to aspiring
writers that's happened online on Twitter, and her advice is
keep going And what a good piece of advice, because
how many people have tried to write something and hit
a wall and I think it's not going well or
life gets in the way and they don't finish it.
And she goes on to say online, even if it
isn't the piece of work that finds a piece of
(30:57):
work that finds an audience, it will teach two things
you could not. You could have learned no other way.
The discipline involved in finishing a piece of creative work
is something on which you can truly pride yourself.
Speaker 3 (31:11):
Such a good vice.
Speaker 2 (31:13):
She does write party, and that's a really good piece
of advice, and talk about it being it having real,
you know, a leg to stand on because it's coming
from her.
Speaker 4 (31:21):
I like it a lot. Just reminds me of what
Dory used to say, Just keeps swimming.
Speaker 3 (31:24):
Swimming, that's right, Just get it finished.
Speaker 2 (31:26):
Speaking of writing, today's the day that the Alec Baldwin
memoir is available. It has been released, and boy are
the reviews incredible. Alec Baldwin has written everything about his life.
It's called Nevertheless. He holds nothing back. The critics you've
already read say nothing back about childhood and what it
(31:47):
was like his parent a big family, brothers, struggled with financials,
and he lost his father at a young age. And
then he goes straight to his life in Hollywood and
holds nothing back like the votes chapters to Tina Fey
and his ex wife Combassenger and all of that that
you would want to know, all that you would want
to know about.
Speaker 4 (32:06):
Voice left for his daughter that time.
Speaker 2 (32:08):
Yes, he knows that that's something that will haunt his
image forever, and that's probably at his loan. He's very
open about all of it. So if you're interested at all,
Nevertheless called Nevertheless by Alec Baldwin, available today, Coming up
in your next Hollywood Outsider this morning at eight thirty,
Harrison Ford finally hears from the FA on whether he
gets to keep his pilot's license.
Speaker 5 (32:30):
Murphy, Sam, and Jody. You are a Hollywood Insider.
Speaker 2 (32:34):
And on the way just after eights? What you were doing, Sam?
Hanging around our backyard the other day unannounced? Sam, I
understand you had to stop by the house the other
day and you met my champ, my champion new dog
who is awsung.
Speaker 1 (32:50):
Sam came to hang out with me, you know, like
he knows every weekend, right.
Speaker 4 (32:53):
He wouldn't let me pass the gate though for some reason.
Speaker 3 (32:56):
Oh, because you came in and met Champ.
Speaker 4 (32:58):
I'm a champ and Stella was there and was it
the act? Was Ashley the other one?
Speaker 3 (33:02):
Ashley is the other surviving boxer.
Speaker 4 (33:04):
As didn't see Piggy see Piggy.
Speaker 1 (33:07):
If Piggy can't see me, Piggy was probably inside on
her side with their tongue hanging out like pugs do.
Speaker 3 (33:14):
Yeah, you know, she's thirteen years old.
Speaker 1 (33:17):
I mean, we have to break you know, I always
have to go check and make sure there's still a pulse.
Speaker 2 (33:20):
So my point is, did you meet my new handsome
heart Throb dog that I'm in love with?
Speaker 3 (33:25):
And isn't he the greatest?
Speaker 1 (33:27):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (33:27):
I mean for a few minutes, I was there.
Speaker 3 (33:29):
Nice, he's nice, the happiest thing.
Speaker 2 (33:31):
We were gonna foster him, and then we were like,
oh no, he's the alpha we needed after losing two
dogs last year. And I just as soon as I
was taking a nap when you stopped by, and then
when I came out, Murphy's like, you should have come
out and seen Sam. He was here for a few minutes.
I was like, did he meet Champ. That's the first
thing I wanted to know.
Speaker 3 (33:50):
Ihew met him. He was so great.
Speaker 1 (33:52):
Yeah, I mean, you know, in ten seconds, it's tough
to really get a feel for a dog, but he did.
He seemed nice, and you know, Jody was really I
thought Jody a little bit over the top at first.
It's like, wow, she's fostering, but like, why she's so
in love with this dog, but he has fitting with
the pack. We needed another male. The only one small
problem is he's a loud liquor.
Speaker 6 (34:10):
Ah.
Speaker 1 (34:11):
That's one of those where when he's getting in to
the lig and dig it's loud.
Speaker 3 (34:17):
I don't even hear him. The licking sound does not
bother me. Seriously, Yeah, I barely have hurt him lick.
Speaker 1 (34:25):
It sounds like somebody you know, tapping. I don't even
know explain it that fast tapping. I can't even make
the noise.
Speaker 2 (34:34):
He's the happiest dog in the world. And when I
walk through a room, he picks up his toy and
brings it to me and goes, hey.
Speaker 1 (34:38):
Yes, that's what's cute. He gets so excited. He doesn't
know what the douce, so he picks up his bones
and that kind of stuff.
Speaker 4 (34:41):
But when I got home, Gus ran to me with
his toy and then all of a sudden he stopped
and froze, and it's like he smells something, so he
got some alley all over me for a while.
Speaker 3 (34:50):
So cute.
Speaker 5 (34:51):
Coming up with Murphy's samoy.
Speaker 3 (34:53):
The ages in our lives.
Speaker 2 (34:55):
When your happiness peaks, it's around the same you know
age for most people, and it happens twice in your lifetime.
Speaker 3 (35:02):
Don't you want to know?
Speaker 2 (35:02):
We're going to do that coming up, coming up next though,
your email answered and our producer's mailbag join us anytime,
so many ways to do that eight seven seven three
one zero four six seven five. You can call or
text to that number, or reach out on Instagram or Facebook.
Speaker 5 (35:19):
The producer's mail bag, David.
Speaker 3 (35:21):
What is in your bag today?
Speaker 6 (35:23):
Well, we're gonna go along with the movies that we missed.
Speaker 3 (35:26):
Movies and shows.
Speaker 6 (35:26):
Movies and shows.
Speaker 2 (35:27):
You miss something big and everybody else is talking about
it and you're out of the loop.
Speaker 6 (35:31):
Mm hmm. Well, Deanna has two pretty big ones, the
first one being Titanic.
Speaker 3 (35:36):
Oh, wondering here with me?
Speaker 5 (35:39):
I figure life's a gift, not only tend on wasting it.
Speaker 2 (35:43):
Man, that would be weird to have missed that because
I guess there's no point in going back and watching it,
because you know that Diana's probably heard all about the.
Speaker 4 (35:50):
Yeah, the raft, the raft.
Speaker 3 (35:55):
Well, she also didn't see another big one, that is
the Notebook.
Speaker 5 (35:58):
Where you figure out.
Speaker 3 (36:02):
I'm gonna have to recommend that one, Danna, don not
to recommend it.
Speaker 4 (36:06):
Beginning is fine, it's just a love story and that
ends like the Titanic, okay.
Speaker 6 (36:14):
And Jen says, I haven't seen or read any of
the Harry Potter franchise. I get that one and or
Game of Thrones, and I haven't seen any of the
Fast and the Furious series.
Speaker 4 (36:27):
The highly coordinated drivers took down in military convoy.
Speaker 1 (36:30):
Well, let's say I'm introduce you to that one.
Speaker 4 (36:31):
You know, you don't have to really watch about to say.
It's like seven mind. Yeah, and it's just fun.
Speaker 3 (36:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (36:39):
I've never seen those and I really don't want to,
even though Dwayne the Rock Johnson.
Speaker 1 (36:42):
Hello.
Speaker 4 (36:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (36:46):
When when somebody tells me they've never even read Harry Potter,
I can't understand.
Speaker 3 (36:51):
They don't know what they're missing out.
Speaker 2 (36:52):
My gosh, it really is just some of the best
storytelling ever. And might I say one of the best
surprises I ever had powder people, you know what I'm
talking about. I never spoil, but one of the best surprises.
I literally walked around stunned for a whole day.
Speaker 6 (37:08):
And Janet says, I have never watched any of the
Rocky Balboa movies.
Speaker 4 (37:12):
Oh my goodness, Oh they throw back and a half.
Speaker 6 (37:16):
There how many of their are those there are there
five or six reasons? Remember which one is the most
recent one? Balboa, I want to say was six. Well, yeah,
Creed counts two. The third one's the best, but you
got to watch the first one to understand who he is.
And they're great and there's a great backstory because Sylvester
Stallone wrote that himself and they offered him money to
(37:38):
give them the script and he was like, no, I
don't think so he wanted to be the one to
star in it and he held out for that and
it won an Oscar.
Speaker 3 (37:47):
Thank you for that. We love hearing from you.
Speaker 2 (37:49):
Deanna, Jen and Janet reach out to us any time
on Facebook. Where do you think you peek in life
for happiness? They've deterned in two ages where you actually peak.
It doesn't mean you're not happy at other times, but
at peaks where you're happiest.
Speaker 1 (38:06):
Should you should you peak? Or should it be the
kind of thing that's just like, if you maintain a
healthy attitude, you're good for life marriage.
Speaker 3 (38:13):
So that's not that's not the that's not the point
of like the study.
Speaker 2 (38:17):
It's just saying that it does peak, and that's true
for anything you have lows and highs and everything.
Speaker 1 (38:22):
Right, I have two I have Can I take a guess, Jody? Sure? Okay,
high school, when you graduate high school, your highchool years,
and then when you become a grandparent.
Speaker 3 (38:31):
You're not that far off, but you're off.
Speaker 4 (38:33):
I'm thinking low twenties and the early fifties.
Speaker 3 (38:37):
Okay, you're you're off also, Okay, you're close on one though. Okay.
Speaker 2 (38:43):
They say happiness peaks first in your life around the
age twenty three ish. Around twenty three, you're feeling independent, Finally,
you've got creams, you've begged for forever, You're hopeful about career,
you're finding where you fit, you don't feel as lost.
Speaker 3 (39:00):
Is the few years before.
Speaker 1 (39:01):
Interesting, you know, because that was awesome when I was eighteen.
I was a ball of stress. When I was twenty three, well.
Speaker 2 (39:07):
You never fit the mole murphy and you feel like
you're gonna live forever at that point you're twenty three, yeah,
I mean.
Speaker 1 (39:13):
Yeah, what's time?
Speaker 5 (39:14):
You know?
Speaker 1 (39:15):
The future baby.
Speaker 3 (39:16):
Aren't ticking by, right.
Speaker 2 (39:17):
So that's a point of high of happiness, the high
point of happiness for a lot of people around that age,
and then again around the age of sixty nine, well,
I know. Yeah, happy people they know that they've gone
through the hardest parts of their life, hopefully they have.
And even if they do have hard things coming, they
know that they can handle it. They've seen the you know,
(39:39):
hopefully children are raised and successful, and there's a satisfaction
in that, like, all right, we did okay kind of thing.
Usually the careers behind you and you are just enjoying
the little things in life and what's what's right and
what's really important.
Speaker 1 (39:54):
Well, and in twenty seventeen, being sixty nine is not
like the train's about to pull back in the station earlier.
Speaker 4 (40:00):
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (40:01):
Do you know?
Speaker 3 (40:02):
Do you see what's interesting about those two ages?
Speaker 2 (40:04):
The first one, the twenty three is mean you you
kind of put childhood behind you, yeah, okay, and then
around sixty nine.
Speaker 1 (40:10):
That you're putting your whole life behind.
Speaker 6 (40:13):
It.
Speaker 3 (40:14):
I just think that's kind of cool. It just means peaks.
Speaker 2 (40:17):
It doesn't mean you can't be happy in other places,
but that's where you can expect it to really soar
for many Anyway, I love it.
Speaker 1 (40:24):
So I have another round to look for and forward to. Unfortunately,
it's way if you.
Speaker 5 (40:29):
Next. Jody's got the Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 2 (40:32):
Will Harrison Ford be allowed to keep flying? You know
after that recent incident.
Speaker 3 (40:36):
I'll tell you about it next.
Speaker 5 (40:39):
Jody's Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 2 (40:41):
Harrison Ford almost landed his plane on top of a
jet full of passengers recently on its top seaway, the
Millennium Falcon. This happened in his own plane. It's happened
in February, and he's been investigated by the FAA since. Well,
he can keep flying, so his license remains his license.
Speaker 3 (40:58):
But it was I guess.
Speaker 4 (41:00):
Reprimand him or eything.
Speaker 3 (41:01):
No penalties doesn't sound like it.
Speaker 2 (41:03):
No, and his lawyer says that the agency they acknowledged
his long history of compliance and his cooperative attitude during
this whole thing.
Speaker 3 (41:13):
Maybe he's sent the gift baskets.
Speaker 2 (41:14):
Yeah, yeah, but he's held his license for more than
twenty years, logged more than five thousand hours, and he's
never been the subject of an investigation. I'm thinking yes,
he has just now and so they're not going to
enforce any action, so he keeps his license.
Speaker 3 (41:30):
How does that make you feel?
Speaker 2 (41:31):
Since you're such a hanso when you're on the taxi
wa super extra careful.
Speaker 5 (41:35):
Harrison up to date with Shodie's Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 2 (41:40):
Go to our Facebook page today to see check out
Sam's eyes and why he's asking us to why you're
asking us to look into them today?
Speaker 3 (41:49):
Pretty well, they're pretty Yeah, No, just.
Speaker 4 (41:51):
One of them. I shot a video when I was
looking at the video on my back of my phone
and my left eye was half closed, and it.
Speaker 3 (41:59):
Wasn't half but it was a little different than the
other one.
Speaker 4 (42:03):
And I've noticed over the past few years it's been
getting lower and lower.
Speaker 3 (42:07):
Look at me, now, let's look again. It's slight. You
had to show me that for me to notice that.
Speaker 4 (42:14):
Sam, It's just annoying.
Speaker 3 (42:17):
I mean, yeah, it's not a big deal. Yeah, but
can you live with it? Is the question?
Speaker 2 (42:22):
Well?
Speaker 4 (42:22):
Yeah, I mean I'm not going to go have surgery
and have it whatever.
Speaker 3 (42:24):
The eyelid lift Apparently it's a real thing, but.
Speaker 4 (42:31):
I don't want to do it, and I don't want
to take a chance on the fact that then I
will always look like I'm startled because they took too
much off or they lifted it too much, Okay, and
then I'll be walking around like I'm in shock all
the time.
Speaker 3 (42:42):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (42:42):
So go online to our Facebook page today and look
at the picture and see if you can if it's
obvious to you.
Speaker 3 (42:48):
Of course, when you're telling me to look at that,
that's what I see.
Speaker 4 (42:52):
Right.
Speaker 2 (42:52):
If you wouldn't have told me that, I would have
not really noticed that. Unless it gets worse every time.
I never thought of that happens.
Speaker 4 (42:58):
I'm sure as I get older, it'd probably will get
lower and lower.
Speaker 3 (43:01):
Who says who?
Speaker 4 (43:02):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (43:03):
I don't know if that's necessarily true.
Speaker 2 (43:05):
Anyway, check out Sam and see if you think it's
obvious that one I is droopy?
Speaker 3 (43:09):
Is that the right word?
Speaker 4 (43:10):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (43:11):
Lazy Murphy, Sam and Jody on Facebook.
Speaker 5 (43:14):
Yeah. Sam has music news.
Speaker 4 (43:16):
It looks like Steve Perry is finally going to be
back in the band Journey.
Speaker 3 (43:20):
No Way, it's up next.
Speaker 5 (43:24):
Sam's got music news.
Speaker 4 (43:26):
Big a big week this week in the world of music,
as the Rock and Hall of Fame Induction ceremony is
coming up Friday, and it's going to be televised on HBO.
They'll show it on twenty ninth of April, but Friday
is the big night.
Speaker 3 (43:38):
You have to really be into it to watch one
of the whole ceremony.
Speaker 1 (43:42):
I've never have Oh no, me neither. I've always seen
clips after the fact.
Speaker 2 (43:45):
Some of the best musical moments ever come from that,
you know, the performances, but watching the whole show, not
in my wheelhouse there we.
Speaker 4 (43:53):
Might have one of those moments. This week, of course,
you know, Journey is being inducted huge and there's this
guy that used to be in the band and he
hasn't played with him or anything in years, and uh,
they didn't know and no one is known. Is he
going to show up because he was invited. You're part
of the band, you were part of the band, show
(44:14):
up and get your trophy, and no one knew until
last week. Jonathan Kane, the keyboard player from Journey, said
he got in contact with Steve and Steve says, oh, yeah,
I'm planning on being there. Then the question was, okay, good,
they're getting the band back together. Are you going to perform?
And he doesn't think Steve was gonna perform because Steve
hasn't sung with the band in a while. His voice
is not what it used to be.
Speaker 1 (44:34):
And I always thought there was like a rift between them,
but there's not.
Speaker 3 (44:37):
I think there was a rift and the voice thing
is happening.
Speaker 1 (44:40):
Yeah, because he hasn't sung with them or been on
a tour in over twenty years.
Speaker 4 (44:44):
Right, right, and something to do with He was supposed
to have hip surgery if he wanted to stay in
the band for the riggers of touring, and he decided
he didn't want to do that. See you later, bye bye,
So we'll have to see how it turns out Friday
Night'd love to see him perform with him at least
one more time.
Speaker 1 (44:56):
Yeah, it'd be cool, Murphy said, Show Music News, Sam
is the food Dude coming up next and also today
and after the show podcast. I have a little piece
of advice and I think will benefit any guy that
does di y stuff at the house.
Speaker 3 (45:13):
What about ladies? Ladies, you know what, I think.
Speaker 1 (45:15):
It took me forever to learn this lesson. Yes, it
works fun doing it yourself at the house.
