Well, I was wearing them too, like and then I
found dead ones in the house.

We have termites swarming outside of our house, right And look,
I know that that happens every year, and I know
that it can be a common thing, but I don't
remember it happening every single year.

Last year was the first time I knew about it.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
Remember I told you I went out for a walk
walk the dogs and I could not believe what was
swarming around me. And then I come back in He's like, oh, yes,
it's the termites. They swarm once a year. What I
grew up in the country and didn't know this.
Speaker 3 (03:00):
Well, I think they if they randomly choose the places
that they're going to swarm as part of the problem.
And you know, because the first question the girls ask is, Daddy,
we have termites. We have termits. No, that's not what
that means. Just because they're swarming near you doesn't mean
that you have them. But I don't know why they've chosen.
And they are swarming around every single light on the
outside of our house.

Wait then you walk in and they're on your clothing.
Speaker 3 (03:20):
Yes, like lots of them, yes enough, not.

Tons, not like one of those part people cover with these,
but it feels like that because they're on you.

What do you go back out and you get to
brush them off? It is otherwise they've crossed the threshold.

Because you go back out they're jumping on you. Now
when they get inside, they don't live long. Well, I
got found dead ones by the kid bathroom saints.

I mean, look, if you look outside, you go outside
in the morning, open the door, and those wings go everywhere. Yeah, yeah,
but they're not surviving. I googled, you know, for one thing.
I wanted to make sure that we really didn't have
a problem, because we've got the termite contract and all
that kind of stuff on our house. Take care of
that every single year. But apparently they go I googled this.
Apparently they go into they're looking for a new colony.

They're overcrowded where they are, and they just there's not
enough room anymore. So they pack up and start swarming
right to find a new place where. I guess ultimately
they are looking for wet wood. They're not going to
find that at our house, not.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
Now, because that you moved some of the wood. Right,
we had some fire I.
Speaker 3 (04:21):
Had some firewood that I just went ahead and got
rid of because it had bugs in it anyway, and
they didn't have it. What's weird is it had bees
in It's.

Another Yeah wait, wait, wait, my mom's tables outside the
one I'm supposed to redo.

Yeah, calling that dinner not funny.

be there. We looked at our neighbor's house and go

went on to be one of the top selling American

far as in record sales, behind Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood.

when you didn't miss idle. So anyway, the rumor was,
and it was all over the place yesterday that he
had been named as one of the judges.

Yes, so you have helped them recently with any computer
problems with getting them all hooked up on Netflix.

So they didn't have it at first, right, so you

To them how it streaming service is okay, okay, And
so now they're just there have a fear of technology,
of anything new and okay, the hang of it. You
just got to be stubborn and like ring with them.
And once they do it, like right now, my mom's
on board. She's finally like figured it out and she
loves it.

Is it? Isn't it weird for you to become the
teacher with them?

And I mean, I just I'm so used to it

they are all excited because they realize, oh, there's no

them something better, but for now, so they decided what
they they liked, Netflix and stuff. That's what we had
line around the house that they could use, like it's
free and right there. Okay, but she started watching Orange

I was like, I know what you're gonna like, So
I'm not she's gonna like and it's like, let me

And she's loving it. She's on a season two Remember
about season two so much?

I watched it within like forty eight hours, Like it's
so binge worthy, it's such a good show. Yeah, telling
me where she's at, I'm like, oh, and so we're
already talking about what characters we like and don't like,
and yeah, I'm not spoiling anything for I'm like, oh,
just wait, and she doesn't know.

She doesn't realize it. The season five is coming out
in like June.

Or she's gonna have to really get on it.

about this, the more I think we're gonna have to

telling you Sam that you know, we've got a swarming
issue at the house, termites or and I'm not really
really worried about it, but Jody asked a question ago
that a minute ago that just made me think, how

long did they swarm, and.

When I can, I go out tonight and walk the
dogs and open my mouth and breathe.

That Typically it's only you know, a couple of days,
and then they move on. Yeah, I've never seen it

was weird because last night they were all over me,
you know, and then it was called me because I
was walking out they weren't attacking me. But then when
I went back out later let the dogs out, they
were all gone. There wasn't the first term might around
a light at all. So I don't know if they're

coming every night. This has been a week now, has

The day my mom came over the other day and

No, the table was in the back of my car,
my SUV.

So I open up, I take the key and I

It had to be off the back.

I thought they were on the inside, which means I
thought they had been on me at something fall off,
like I don't know what it is, but I'm ready
for them to be gone.

Is it possible to have a termite infested vehicle? I

Because that I mean, that's metal and stuff.

who has been at boarding school.

Boarding school for this this was his first semester doing that,
and he is going back in the fall for next
school year. Yeah, decisions, and he's supposed to get out Friday.
He's finals are all this week. Then he's getting out Friday. Well,
last week I was talking to his mom and it
turns out at his grades were all you had straight a's,
so they exempted him from all his finals.

Yeah? So sixth grade and this was like what all
of a sudden. Sixth grade graduation was yesterday and he
got to leave straight from you know, they packed him
up and he got straight from there.

Oh that's awesome.

Yeah, and he won gold AR and gold AM, which

Yeah, I mean he's looking forward to going back to
his mom gave him the option to of staying there
for the summer, not summer school, because he doesn't need,

you just board for the summer and then you work
around campus. But he wanted to come home for summer.

So he signed up for a bunch of baseball camps
this summer, so that'll do him some.

running back in the back and you know, said like,
I can't find my keys. What's going on? And we looked,
I don't know, twenty minutes or something like that. Finally
Jody has the smart idea that I didn't think of,
grab the extra set of keys.

Oh, I had to get here. I had to get
here early and it couldn't really be late. So it's like,
I need your extra keys. I'll look for my keys later.

you know, when she's split without the keys, and she
told me, please don't spend your time looking for the keys.
You know just what we will find them. Well, I

in the car port right outside the back door.

I've got this whole area where I'm working on my
mom's table and starting going to start painting the extra table,

I knew that it was an accent. What's weird about that?
When that kind of thing happens, you're not as nervous
about it until you realize where they were, You know
what I mean. If they're in a sofa cushion, no

you find it outside right exactly overnight.

Yeah, I've found mine before, stuck in the door.

Yeah, on the outside. It's like you come in, you.

Come in with so much it's like, I'll get the
keys in a second.

It's been overnight and you did that.

The next morning when you're looking, it's like, I only
put those things in three or four places.

Where are they? That's when you're goind of feel like
you have a guardian angel looking over you.

Look, that's that look. We all get that way, And
it's the little things. Is the key, you know, the
keys are little important things. One of my favorite things
was one evening when Murphy came home on the phone,
like on a conference call, just working and talking and
working and talking. He comes in on the phone waves
at us and goes into his office that he's not,
you know, on the phone in the middle of us.
And then it's an hours pass, hours pass, and I

decided to.

Go walk the dogs and do an evening run or whatever.

And I walk outside and his car door is just
wide open. Wasn't really we've been like animals could have
been in there. You were that distracted, So it was

up doing a body suit and just the just the
little neck thing. So I had way too much, shoved
it in a closet. Well, she found it okay, and
so she made all kinds of little things. She even
made me a little bag to hold my keys. You know,
some mom, when you're reach into your purse, you can't
find your keys.

Should have been using that when you lost them yesterday, right,
I know where your keys outside.

Anyway, She's made all kinds of cool stuff. And she
came running into the room the other night asked me
if I had any jeans old jeans. I didn't need
or want any more. And I know where she's going
because she's making all kinds of diy stuff. And to
be honest, I had one pair that was too big
and one pair that she's small.

Like all women. I don't know if you guys know that,
but all women.

Have stuff in their closets that used to fit them,
to fit them now, and you know.

And no, I didn't realize that.

I hope to fit into one day kind of like that.
So I went with the tear the pair that's too tight.
I'm like, I'm not gonna these have been dried and
so many times have been shrunk. Gave them to her
and she made a couple of really cute things. She
took the bottom of them and I guess glued or
sowed the bottom.

She sewed the bottom. Would you call those the cuffs?
I don't know the basic the bottom of the bottom

that Chris Daughtry has joined the American Idol reboot as
a judge.

I'm fine with it, and I like it, and I
was excited and then wait, wait, wait, it didn't go everywhere.
It's kind of like, maybe it's not so true. So
it's trade to say it's just a rumor. At this point,
they could be in talks because the word is over
at ABC for the reboot of Idol, they want a
full panel of judges who've actually been in those contestants
spots before, whether they've won or not. So the word

is they're talking to Carrie Underwood. Yeah, we know they're
talking to Katy Perry, she's never been there before. And
also the word was that Chris Martin from Coldplay. Yeah,
so I kind of want the Chris Daughtry story to
be true, but apparently it's not one hundred percent true.
A word is they also ABC talking to Adam Lamb,

this point for the American Idol reboot.

was totally grossed out last night. Sam, what'd you do again?
Something that I did? It's what I walked in and

Well, I was wearing them too, like and then I
found dead ones in the house.

We have termites swarming outside of our house, right And look,
I know that that happens every year, and I know
that it can be a common thing, but I don't
remember it happening every single year.

Last year was the first time I knew about it.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
Remember I told you I went out for a walk
walk the dogs and I could not believe what was
swarming around me. And then I come back in He's like, oh, yes,
it's the termites. They swarm once a year. What I
grew up in the country and didn't know this.
Speaker 3 (03:00):
Well, I think they if they randomly choose the places
that they're going to swarm as part of the problem.
And you know, because the first question the girls ask is, Daddy,
we have termites. We have termits. No, that's not what
that means. Just because they're swarming near you doesn't mean
that you have them. But I don't know why they've chosen.
And they are swarming around every single light on the
outside of our house.

Wait then you walk in and they're on your clothing.
Speaker 3 (03:20):
Yes, like lots of them, yes enough, not.

Tons, not like one of those part people cover with these,
but it feels like that because they're on you.

What do you go back out and you get to
brush them off? It is otherwise they've crossed the threshold.

Because you go back out they're jumping on you. Now
when they get inside, they don't live long. Well, I
got found dead ones by the kid bathroom saints.

I mean, look, if you look outside, you go outside
in the morning, open the door, and those wings go everywhere. Yeah, yeah,
but they're not surviving. I googled, you know, for one thing.
I wanted to make sure that we really didn't have
a problem, because we've got the termite contract and all
that kind of stuff on our house. Take care of
that every single year. But apparently they go I googled this.
Apparently they go into they're looking for a new colony.

They're overcrowded where they are, and they just there's not
enough room anymore. So they pack up and start swarming
right to find a new place where. I guess ultimately
they are looking for wet wood. They're not going to
find that at our house, not.

Now, because that you moved some of the wood. Right,
we had some fire I.
Speaker 3 (04:21):
Had some firewood that I just went ahead and got
rid of because it had bugs in it anyway, and
they didn't have it. What's weird is it had bees
in It's.

Another Yeah wait, wait, wait, my mom's tables outside the
one I'm supposed to redo.

Yeah, calling that dinner not funny.

be there. We looked at our neighbor's house and go

far as in record sales, behind Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood.

when you didn't miss idle. So anyway, the rumor was,
and it was all over the place yesterday that he
had been named as one of the judges.

Boarding school for this this was his first semester doing that,
and he is going back in the fall for next

He's finals are all this week. Then he's getting out Friday. Well,
last week I was talking to his mom and it
turns out at his grades were all you had straight a's,
so they exempted him from all his finals.

Yeah? So sixth grade and this was like what all
of a sudden. Sixth grade graduation was yesterday and he
got to leave straight from you know, they packed him

I can't find my keys. What's going on? And we looked,

grab the extra set of keys.

here early and it couldn't really be late. So it's like,
I need your extra keys. I'll look for my keys later.

And then it's an hours pass, hours pass, and I

I just wanted to let you know about teacher's gifts.
I am, you know, absolutely for the teachers. I am
not a teacher, but I so believe in helping them
out in any way. Yes, so I believe in totally
gifting them. I always make a whole bunch of different
kind of candy and cookies, and so I give them
homemade stuff and also a nice gift. And then I
asked them to about here. You know, what do you like,
(35:39):
what's your favorite color? What do you like to eat?
For my daughter's teacher, she's getting a mug. You know,
one of those thermal mugs that really keep it hot
or cold, like a getty mug.
Speaker 2 (35:51):
Yeah, yeah, serious smid two days. Yeah that's better.
Speaker 3 (35:55):
Yeah, yeah, I get that.
Speaker 9 (35:58):
But you can get it at Walmart for like seven something,
so it really does the job.

It's in the hunting section, that's sports section, and so
I am having her initials put on the mug. And
we're putting her name on the beach towel, so she'll
have her yetti mug. What's a beach towel and it
all has her initials name on it, and I think
she'll like it all out.

If any of that gets stolen, at least she knows
it's hers.

You know. I did just buy her a hot glue
gun like you suggested, Sam, boy, she has put that
thing to use. In fact, I got a lot of handmade,
homemade Mother's Day gifts. I've shared some on our Facebook page.

You remember the green felt that I bought that was
for her Kermit for Kermit.
Speaker 3 (37:55):
I was wondering where that felt came from. The Kermit
the frog costume.
Speaker 1 (37:58):
I bought way too much because I thought we were
gonna be doing more with the felt, and she ended
up doing a body suit and just the just the
little neck thing. So I had way too much, shoved
it in a closet. Well, she found it okay, and
so she made all kinds of little things. She even
made me a little bag to hold my keys. You know,
some mom, when you're reach into your purse, you can't
find your keys.
Speaker 2 (38:19):
Now you can.
Speaker 3 (38:19):
Should have been using that when you lost them yesterday, right,
I know where your keys outside.
Speaker 1 (38:25):
Anyway, She's made all kinds of cool stuff. And she
came running into the room the other night asked me
if I had any jeans old jeans. I didn't need
or want any more. And I know where she's going
because she's making all kinds of diy stuff. And to
be honest, I had one pair that was too big
and one pair that she's small.
Speaker 2 (38:42):
Like all women. I don't know if you guys know that,
but all women.
Speaker 1 (38:45):
Have stuff in their closets that used to fit them,
to fit them now, and you know.
Speaker 3 (38:49):
And no, I didn't realize that.
Speaker 1 (38:50):
I hope to fit into one day kind of like that.
So I went with the tear the pair that's too tight.
I'm like, I'm not gonna these have been dried and
so many times have been shrunk. Gave them to her
and she made a couple of really cute things. She
took the bottom of them and I guess glued or
sowed the bottom.
Speaker 3 (39:09):
She sewed the bottom. Would you call those the cuffs?
I don't know the basic the bottom of the bottom
came out well she uh.
Speaker 2 (39:16):
She made little just containers for me, one for me,
and then she gave one.
Speaker 3 (39:20):
To my mom.
Speaker 2 (39:22):
Stuff.
Speaker 1 (39:23):
It's the cutest thing ever. Then she made an apron
for my mom, like.
Speaker 5 (39:27):
The green felt apron.

No, no, no, no, blue jeans. Blue jeans, ain't that cute?

And so she was trying to picture it right now, Well,
here's what you do. You picture the pockets on the back,
but you flip it around and everything. The pockets remain
on the front, but the back is just the waistband.

And you can button it.

I'm that cute and you got pockets on the front
of it. So it makes a really good apron. And
she made that for my mom for Mother's Day.

Don't feel bad about not understanding that, Sam, because Jody's
mom kind of looked to look at it for a
minute to get it to explanation. Is her backwards pants
with no bath Yeah? I put them on.

So will Chris Daughtry be a judge on the American
Idol reboot?

Not so fast to believe that.

Yesterday, it was announced by one or two media outlets
that Chris Daughtry has joined the American Idol reboot as
a judge.
Speaker 2 (40:19):
I'm down with that.
Speaker 1 (40:20):
I'm fine with it, and I like it, and I
was excited and then wait, wait, wait, it didn't go everywhere.
It's kind of like, maybe it's not so true. So
it's trade to say it's just a rumor. At this point,
they could be in talks because the word is over
at ABC for the reboot of Idol, they want a
full panel of judges who've actually been in those contestants
spots before, whether they've won or not. So the word
(40:41):
is they're talking to Carrie Underwood. Yeah, we know they're
talking to Katy Perry, she's never been there before. And
also the word was that Chris Martin from Coldplay. Yeah,
so I kind of want the Chris Daughtry story to
be true, but apparently it's not one hundred percent true.
A word is they also ABC talking to Adam Lamb,

and you know what, any of it could happen at
this point for the American Idol reboot.

We've been sharing so much about teachers gifts, like what

called a lot and told us what they've enjoyed getting

And I'm waiting for that list from both of them.
But I know Taylors are going to be a little
different this year. Like I used to when it was
teacher gift time, whether it's Christmas or at the end
of the school year, I would we would get the
same thing for everybody, making it easy on us and
fair if you will, you know, because teachers talk whatever,
who knows what what's discussing the teachers lounge. But this
(41:57):
year is a little different for Taylor because she will
be at the end of this school which is in
a week and a half, moving to another school next year.
So there are some people who are super important to
her and have been super important in her life. This
at the school that she wants to really gift. So
we need to actually like go shopping, and she wants
to do it specifically. So I need to like make plans.

That's the thing about kids don't realize that either. They're like, no, no, no,
you need to tell me now, and we need to
make plans to go.

considered gamer, but they're trying to Their whole thing is
they're trying to expand out and do more things. There
you go, they did they did a Bob Ross marathon
a while back too, you know, so we're like.

No, did they really they could paint for it? So
it sounds like it's a PBS related thing.
Speaker 5 (43:22):
Well, this one and this one actually is because for
the eight hundred episodes over eighteen days, they're also running
commercials in between to donate to PBS because obviously that's
where mister Rogers was.
Speaker 2 (43:33):
And it's a push then too.
Speaker 5 (43:35):
That's good. That's also a publicity stunt to drag people in,
Like I mean, we're they're episodes that they're showing that
I've only been seen once.
Speaker 3 (43:43):
So that's pretty cool. You know what, even though it
kind of looks old school by today's standards, I don't
think the message is any The message is just as
important today. So introducing that to a whole new generation.

They need it.

I mean, they talked about the things that kids needed
to hear in a very sensitive way, like you're right
to feel sad for that.
