Speaker 1 (00:02):
Hey, before we get started to know Murphy, you want
to tell Sam a story about what we're dealing with
at night at the house. But first, yes, we did
in the after the show podcast yesterday, which theirs every
day after the show. There's a separate little we keep
visiting producer David and Sam. Let me know that they've
both seen Guardians too, the volume two of Guardians of
the Galaxy.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
Because we haven't gone to see.
Speaker 3 (00:22):
You, it'll be here any minute.
Speaker 4 (00:26):
Is that a rifle? You don't know what a rifle
looks like? Two things?
Speaker 2 (00:29):
Two things.
Speaker 1 (00:30):
Number one, Sam liked it better than the first, which
has never happened in the history of Sam. And the
second thing is that there But how I didn't know this?
Kurt Russell's in the movie. We knew that, and I
knew that and all that good stuff. And he's like
the dad in the very beginning of the movie. It's
young Kurt Russell, like they somehow magically put him young there.
Speaker 5 (00:51):
Not it doesn't look like CGI.
Speaker 3 (00:53):
And I just look.
Speaker 5 (00:55):
I kept staring like they did an awesome makeup job.
I have no clue how they did it.
Speaker 1 (00:59):
Maybe they some overbus want to check this out. I
mean film or something like that.
Speaker 6 (01:02):
I've been.
Speaker 2 (01:03):
I mean, I'm flipping out.
Speaker 3 (01:05):
You know. I forgot when me and Jody, I thought
it was me and Jody and the girls who went
to see the original Guardians of the Galaxy, but our
youngest Phoebe didn't go with us.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
No, it was Taylor and a bunch of her friends.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
Yeah. See, I forgot about that because we were concerned
that it was a little it might be a little
bit too much for Phoebe.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
Ay be interested.
Speaker 3 (01:20):
Yeah, but I mean now she should be able to
watch it right twelve years Oh.
Speaker 2 (01:24):
My gosh, she'll love it.
Speaker 3 (01:25):
Yeah, she's absolutely gonna be. So see, we need what
we need to do, well, we need to watch the
first one on demand and then go back and see
the movie in the theater.
Speaker 2 (01:33):
By me, especially now young Kurt Russell.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
Yeah, Jody's got an extra reason.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
We have all Kurt Russell. But that makes me excited.
Speaker 5 (01:39):
And you got to go now before the third one
comes out in twenty twenty.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
Okay, coming up with Murphy Sam and Jody mister Rogers
on demand ha ha ha. Well, I guess it's not
really on demand, but there's well he's special happening.
Speaker 3 (01:50):
You know. Because on Amazon true every single episode ever
you know recorded is available, but you have to buy
it to be able to watch.
Speaker 5 (01:56):
To tell you where you can watch it free. Eighteen
straight days worth.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
That is a lot of happy mister Rogers, if you
can stay awake through all of it.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
He's just relaxing, and it doesn't he's boring, just relaxing.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
Yeah, I do have everything that I could find out
about the Game of Throne spinoffs for you in your
first Hollywood Outside are coming up this morning.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
And next we've got to swarm at the house, Sam,
And apparently Jody and I are the only ones on
the block with this problem, a real swarm. So Jody
was totally grossed out last night. Sam, what'd you do again?
Something that I did? It's what I walked in and
I was wearing.
Speaker 1 (02:29):
Well, I was wearing them too, like and then I
found dead ones in the house.
Speaker 3 (02:35):
We have termites swarming outside of our house, right And look,
I know that that happens every year, and I know
that it can be a common thing, but I don't
remember it happening every single year.
Speaker 2 (02:45):
Last year was the first time I knew about it.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
Remember I told you I went out for a walk
walk the dogs and I could not believe what was
swarming around me. And then I come back in He's like, oh, yes,
it's the termites. They swarm once a year. What I
grew up in the country and didn't know this.
Speaker 3 (03:00):
Well, I think they if they randomly choose the places
that they're going to swarm as part of the problem.
And you know, because the first question the girls ask is, Daddy,
we have termites. We have termits. No, that's not what
that means. Just because they're swarming near you doesn't mean
that you have them. But I don't know why they've chosen.
And they are swarming around every single light on the
outside of our house.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
Wait then you walk in and they're on your clothing.
Speaker 3 (03:20):
Yes, like lots of them, yes enough, not.
Speaker 1 (03:24):
Tons, not like one of those part people cover with these,
but it feels like that because they're on you.
Speaker 5 (03:30):
What do you go back out and you get to
brush them off? It is otherwise they've crossed the threshold.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
Because you go back out they're jumping on you. Now
when they get inside, they don't live long. Well, I
got found dead ones by the kid bathroom saints.
Speaker 3 (03:42):
I mean, look, if you look outside, you go outside
in the morning, open the door, and those wings go everywhere. Yeah, yeah,
but they're not surviving. I googled, you know, for one thing.
I wanted to make sure that we really didn't have
a problem, because we've got the termite contract and all
that kind of stuff on our house. Take care of
that every single year. But apparently they go I googled this.
Apparently they go into they're looking for a new colony.
(04:04):
They're overcrowded where they are, and they just there's not
enough room anymore. So they pack up and start swarming
right to find a new place where. I guess ultimately
they are looking for wet wood. They're not going to
find that at our house, not.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
Now, because that you moved some of the wood. Right,
we had some fire I.
Speaker 3 (04:21):
Had some firewood that I just went ahead and got
rid of because it had bugs in it anyway, and
they didn't have it. What's weird is it had bees
in It's.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
Another Yeah wait, wait, wait, my mom's tables outside the
one I'm supposed to redo.
Speaker 3 (04:32):
Yeah, calling that dinner not funny.
Speaker 5 (04:38):
Hurry up and finish it so he can send it back.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
It really is no problem, right, It just happens to
be there. We looked at our neighbor's house and go
check their carpard. They're not swarming our neighbors, They're swarming us.
It's so weird to be selected.
Speaker 3 (04:52):
Yeah, and whatever you do, don't take in a big
deep breath of airwor.
Speaker 4 (04:57):
Jody's got the Hollywood outside.
Speaker 1 (04:59):
I'm going to tell you every little thing we know
about the Game of Thrones spin offs, because there's a
lot of questions.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
And I've got some answers.
Speaker 4 (05:09):
Judy's Hollywood outsiders.
Speaker 1 (05:11):
All right, listen up, Game of Thrones fans, and I
know that I'm alone, almost alone in this rem except
for producer David who also loves Game of Thrones and
convinced me to watch it. Thank you so much. I'm
reading the books. I'm watching the show again. George R. R.
Martin did some blogging the other night and let the
world know that yes, there are four you know spinoffs
(05:32):
in the works, and he met with them all you know,
the HBO writers. He met with them, and when he
left there were five spinoffs in the works.
Speaker 7 (05:40):
So he's taking the time to blog about this, but
he's not taking the time to finish the books.
Speaker 8 (05:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (05:43):
See, that's about when all.
Speaker 1 (05:45):
The fans are eat but he said he's on it,
the Winds of Winter, that last one, he's on it.
Speaker 3 (05:51):
Are they planning on bringing any of this in the
modern times anytime soon?
Speaker 1 (05:54):
No, But some things after all of his blogging and
Q and A that I can clear up for everybody.
He does doesn't want you to think of the spin
offs at all because they're prequels. None of the current
people on the Game of in Game of Throng prequel
will be on this.
Speaker 3 (06:08):
These farther back than they already are, because.
Speaker 7 (06:11):
All throughout the show they talk about this pack of
it in the past and all you never see, you
just hear about it, and I'm assuming that's what it's
going to.
Speaker 3 (06:18):
Well, a lot of this.
Speaker 1 (06:18):
Stuff is based on They say it's not going to
be about Robert's rebellion. You know what that means because
everything will be answered before it, I'm quick, And it'll
probably be about the Targarians.
Speaker 5 (06:27):
Yeah, oh good, so.
Speaker 4 (06:28):
That means dragon.
Speaker 3 (06:30):
What's weird about this?
Speaker 2 (06:31):
For dragons?
Speaker 3 (06:32):
I would think that Sam actually would enjoy Game of Thrones.
I just a year in or a season in, it
was just too dark for me, and I just I
could not. I appreciate the cinematography, the story writing. It's brilliant.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
Yeah, I'm serious. All that is, are you to keep
watching Murphy? I would have had to explain a lot
because there's a lot because I'm reading it. I understand
more because of that. So it's okay.
Speaker 6 (06:53):
Murphy needs a musical number and the shows.
Speaker 3 (06:55):
Yes, he.
Speaker 1 (06:57):
He and Sam I do have American idol news too,
not just the Katy Perry possibility and all that good stuff.
But did you hear about Fox kind of rare hitting
back at ABC for bringing it back so soon. Reboot
is supposed to happen next year, and it's underway and
it's coming. But the company that produces the show, they said, look,
you spent twenty million dollars, you know, telling everybody it
(07:20):
was the end and it was over, and you were
supposed to at least wait till the year twenty twenty.
You were supposed to shelve this and give people a break,
and now they cannot wait.
Speaker 2 (07:29):
Do you know why they can't wait? Money?
Speaker 1 (07:31):
They know it will make money, especially if they bring
Katy Perry on Murphy.
Speaker 4 (07:36):
Sam and Jody your Hollywood insider.
Speaker 1 (07:39):
I'm here in the month of May. We're talking teachers
gifts again.
Speaker 3 (07:43):
Me two schools almost out.
Speaker 2 (07:44):
Look, I've got my list.
Speaker 1 (07:45):
So eight seven seven three one zero four six seven five, Lisa,
you're next.
Speaker 3 (07:53):
Where would we be without great teachers? You know, I
mean at the end of the school year. So this
is the time of the year to remember them at
some teacher gift idea for you at Murphy Samonjodi dot
com and something you might have missed on the podcast
after the show and catch up by subscribing calls at
eight seven seven three one oh four MSJ. We'll always
love hearing from you. Good morning, It's Leasa.
Speaker 8 (08:13):
I always Facebook you, guys. I'm the one who sold
Bailey he needs to put.
Speaker 9 (08:17):
A man fun in.
Speaker 2 (08:19):
Awesome.
Speaker 9 (08:20):
Awesome, definitely needs to do a man fun. I just
want to let you know about teacher's gifts. I am,
you know, absolutely for the teachers. I am not a teacher,
but I so believe in helping them out in any way. Yes,
so I believe in totally gifting them. I always make
a whole bunch of different kind of candy and cookies,
and so I give them homemade stuff and also a
(08:41):
nice gift. And then I asked them about here. You know,
what do you like, what's your favorite color?
Speaker 3 (08:45):
What do you like to eat?
Speaker 9 (08:47):
For my daughter's teacher, she's getting a mug, you know,
one of those thermal mugs that really keep it hot
or cold, like a jetty mug.
Speaker 5 (08:56):
Yeah, yeah, serious, two days.
Speaker 3 (08:59):
That's better.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
Yeah yeah, I get that.
Speaker 9 (09:02):
But you can give you a Walmart for like seven something.
But it really does the job. It's it's in the
hunting section, that's sports section. And so I'm having her
initials put on the mug, and we're putting her name
on the beach towel. So she'll have her yetti mugs,
a beach towel and it all has her initials name
(09:23):
on it.
Speaker 2 (09:23):
And I think she'll like it all out.
Speaker 3 (09:25):
That's great.
Speaker 5 (09:25):
If any of that gets stolen, at least she knows
it's hers.
Speaker 2 (09:29):
Always the bright side. Well, thank you, Lisa, good ideas.
Speaker 9 (09:34):
Oh you welcome. And I just love you guys.
Speaker 5 (09:36):
You guys do.
Speaker 9 (09:37):
Life's so awesome. You are my drive to work to
every morning, and I always go on your Facebook and
you guys have the best reciepe.
Speaker 2 (09:45):
Thank you. I'm so glad you're there. Reach out any time.
Speaker 3 (09:48):
Okay, thank you all right, eight three one oh four
MSJ love to hear from you.
Speaker 1 (09:53):
You know.
Speaker 3 (09:53):
The other reason I used to like names on towels
is when it was available, which, of course I'm not
now Joding and I've been married for a long time.
Oh yeah, exactly. You could walk up to so many
media there. Yeah, Jennifer, what's going on? Love?
Speaker 2 (10:06):
Oh? A thoughtument on your own beach town?
Speaker 3 (10:10):
He means check pick up. Yeah, how do you know
my name? It's right there on the towel.
Speaker 2 (10:17):
Awesome game, baby.
Speaker 3 (10:18):
So what are you doing.
Speaker 4 (10:20):
Coming up with Murphy Sam?
Speaker 5 (10:22):
Oh, if you got eighteen days to spare, I'm gonna
tell you where you can watch every mister Rogers episode ever.
Speaker 3 (10:28):
All right, Fingle's next, Everybody loves Her how to how
to video you know, how to fix things, how to
do things? And Sam did one for how to subscribe
to the Murphy, Sam and Jody Podcast.
Speaker 2 (10:39):
Oh that's right.
Speaker 3 (10:40):
It makes it easy, simplifies it for people like me.
Speaker 5 (10:43):
Less than ten seconds. You could be there then.
Speaker 3 (10:46):
That way you can listen on your schedule anytime and
catch after the show. All on the Murphy Samon Jody Podcast.
Speaker 5 (10:51):
Mister Rogers, all of the Mister Rogers episodes are currently
involved in a streaming marathon on Twitch. The twitch is
they're on by Amazon on and it's a gamer website,
really the Twitch or is it twit twitched? It's twitch
dot tv is what their website. Ish've never heard of it, Yeah,
you said, d twitch.
Speaker 3 (11:07):
I'm sure.
Speaker 5 (11:08):
Oh okay, Well, it's like gamers will go on there
and videotape themselves playing games and describing what they're doing.
Speaker 3 (11:13):
Okay, when people watch it, oh cool.
Speaker 5 (11:16):
But what they're doing is they are running eighteen that
started yesterday, eighteen days straight, this mister Rogers marathon, every
episode that ever aired, back to back to back. This
is eight hundred and eighty six episodes.
Speaker 3 (11:30):
Wow, mister Rogers.
Speaker 5 (11:31):
Some of these have never been they've been they've all
been seen before, but some have never like got you
run the PBS rerun rotation, so they'ven't have been seen once.
Speaker 1 (11:41):
You know, truly. Out of all those shows, there are
some that are the favorites and some that or not well.
Speaker 3 (11:45):
And you know, I mean a lot they didn't rerun
a lot of the black and white ones when they
when it was first on that I mean the only
reason I knew that is because me and the girls.
I don't think Jodie was home. We did this, but
Taylor and Phoebe sat down with me and it's like, well,
the first episode ever missed?
Speaker 2 (12:00):
Or is it the one with the goldfish?
Speaker 9 (12:01):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (12:02):
About it?
Speaker 4 (12:03):
What's that there?
Speaker 3 (12:05):
Oh it's a dead fish the.
Speaker 4 (12:08):
Way you laugh.
Speaker 2 (12:09):
But children need help dealing with that.
Speaker 3 (12:11):
I don't know if this guy is gonna make it.
That's what I was wondering, was like, whoa you were.
Speaker 1 (12:16):
In this in a home, in a situation where your
parent was less than sensitive.
Speaker 2 (12:21):
He was it for you.
Speaker 1 (12:22):
He was he understood right where to go to the heart,
the child's heart of any matter.
Speaker 3 (12:27):
But that episode was kind of weird because then the
fish didn't move and he put salt in the tank.
I'm like, okay, what that that? Like that was going
to resuscitate him, and I'm thinking, all you're doing is
making sardines, you know not?
Speaker 2 (12:37):
Why did he do that?
Speaker 3 (12:38):
I don't know. It was his first he was just learning.
But there's still a sweet but you know what, there
really was no better I'm telling you, grandfatherly like daddy
kind of Yeah.
Speaker 5 (12:52):
Now these are running, they've already started, Like I said, yesterday.
They run through June the third back to back. And
what's really cool is Twitch is also doing a fundraising campaign,
so they're going to be dropping in commercials like, Hey,
give the PBS, give the ps you want to go
check it out? We do have the link, Murphy Salmon,
Jody dot Com.
Speaker 4 (13:10):
Jody's got the Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 1 (13:11):
We're gonna set this Chris Daughtry rumor at American Idol
straight for you.
Speaker 4 (13:18):
Jody's Hollywood outside.
Speaker 1 (13:20):
Let's go ahead and just address these American Idol Chris
Daughtry rumors. I really enjoyed Chris Daughtry. I was also
one of those people that didn't like it. Then he
went home on American Idol all those years he did
not win, he went home like that was the year
that Taylor Hicks won. Yeah, and so, but Chris Daughtry
went on to be one of the top selling American
(13:42):
Idol contestants of all time, number three, number three as
far as in record sales, behind Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood.
I mean, just a solid, solid voice, and he's got
great musical tie and I'm sorry, he's got the look.
He's he's got the look too. He was also shocked
(14:05):
when he went home. Those were back in the days
when you didn't miss idle. So anyway, the rumor was,
and it was all over the place yesterday that he
had been named as one of the judges.
Speaker 2 (14:14):
While we're all kind of waiting in the.
Speaker 1 (14:15):
Wings to hear about Perry, the possibility of Carrie Underwood.
You know, she's being talked about about anyway as if
she's been in talks, so we don't know. The deal
was when they're bringing this showback, they wanted the panel
of judges to be all former successful contestants and winners and.
Speaker 5 (14:33):
Things like that.
Speaker 1 (14:34):
They're not going to get Kelly Clarkson because she's going
to the Voice. Not going to get Jennifer Hudson, she
didn't win, but she's going to the Voice. Right, So
the rumors and it's being reported by some media outlets
that Daughtry has been signed, but the trades say that's
not true. Okay, so it might or might not be
true that we're going to get that follow little back. Yeah,
I would be fine with that. What do you think
(14:55):
I'm finds not typically like Daughtry.
Speaker 5 (14:57):
I don't know why, but but as a judge, he might.
Speaker 3 (14:59):
I mean, he knows that it's like and.
Speaker 2 (15:01):
He knows what it's like to be told to go home, and.
Speaker 5 (15:04):
Katie Perry, you are a third person of that caliber.
Hopefully they'll get it done this week.
Speaker 1 (15:09):
Yeah, I would like to have it done, just to
quit speculating and let them get to work.
Speaker 2 (15:13):
I have some fun little news that we had.
Speaker 1 (15:15):
Somebody we haven't thought about in quite a while, and
that's Ozzy and Sharon. Last year, at this time, he
was big time in the doghouse, remember that Around Christmas time?
Apparently he proposed to her again and said, hey, would
you like to renew vowels?
Speaker 2 (15:30):
I'm sure it didn't sound that word.
Speaker 1 (15:32):
Yeah, they renewed their vows in Las Vegas on Sunday
for Mother's Day at the Wynn Hotel. So all is
well with the Osbournes again. Loving that coming up in
your next Hollywood outside of this morning, it's seven fifty five,
so much a surprise elimination last night on Dancing with
the Stars and zac Efron's next movie role will not be.
Speaker 4 (15:52):
Funny Murphy, Sam and Jody your Hollywood here, he'd.
Speaker 5 (15:56):
Be checking out the producer's mailbag. Coming up just after
seven Jody, there's a question in there about your wedding
to Murphy and how I was involved.
Speaker 3 (16:08):
Got some positive, good feeling news for you coming up.
It's kind of like Jody's good thing, but it's really
a story from Sam's personal life. Dan Son Parker Yeah.
Speaker 5 (16:15):
Yeah, yeah, he uh going away to this boarding school
actually working out better for him than we thought before.
Speaker 3 (16:20):
Cool. I'll tell you why though.
Speaker 2 (16:21):
That's good, that's needed, and we love hearing from you.
Reach us.
Speaker 1 (16:24):
There's so many ways Facebook, Instagram, you can call or
text eight seven seven three one zero four six seven five.
Speaker 4 (16:32):
Murphy, Sam and Jody. The Producer's mail.
Speaker 2 (16:35):
Bag, David, What's in your bag today?
Speaker 7 (16:36):
From our Facebook page, Joanna says, I listened to a
week's worth of podcasts on Saturday while mowing my yard.
Speaker 3 (16:44):
My god, yes, thank you. It'll be a big yard.
Speaker 5 (16:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (16:51):
I know that's what you miss it in the morning
and you want to hang out. That's a really cool idea.
Speaker 5 (16:55):
I go, I'll do all day today anyway.
Speaker 2 (16:59):
Thank you, Joanna, I'm glad you did that.
Speaker 6 (17:01):
She said.
Speaker 7 (17:02):
I started laughing when Jody said her dad got alone
time by mowing. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (17:06):
I feel the exact same way. Obviously.
Speaker 2 (17:09):
Yeah, that's cool.
Speaker 1 (17:11):
You know what's funny is that if we had a
riding lawn more, good luck getting me take getting me
off of it.
Speaker 2 (17:17):
I probably would want to do that.
Speaker 3 (17:19):
Really, it's calm. I mean, it's send it for me
to get a riding lawn more then it's relaxing.
Speaker 2 (17:24):
It's calm.
Speaker 1 (17:25):
It reminds me of a childho because every once in
a while he would let me cut the grass.
Speaker 2 (17:28):
You know, it is quiet time.
Speaker 3 (17:30):
For a long time, the writing more to me was
like the predecessor to having a car. I couldn't wait
to get on that thing. They didn't the zero turn
ones weren't around though when we were little.
Speaker 1 (17:39):
You know what you want to hear the most dangerous
thing you've ever heard? What you better be strapped in
for this. The first time I ever did it, that
was barefoot.
Speaker 3 (17:47):
Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (17:48):
When he saw me, he was like, get off of
that and go put shoes on. Yeah. Anyway, joe An,
I'm glad you did that.
Speaker 7 (17:54):
Thank you, And Tanya says, okay, so I need to
know what kinds of games did Sam play at Murphy
and Jody's wedding. I heard y'all mention it on the
show the other day, and I'm so curious.
Speaker 2 (18:05):
Do you even remember, Sam?
Speaker 5 (18:07):
You know what I do?
Speaker 3 (18:08):
You were doing that? Who wants to be a millionaire
type thing?
Speaker 5 (18:11):
Who wants to be a newlywed?
Speaker 3 (18:12):
That's right?
Speaker 2 (18:14):
Question about us?
Speaker 5 (18:15):
Yeah? And they ask y'all each question about the other.
Speaker 2 (18:18):
It was cute.
Speaker 3 (18:19):
I don't even remember it.
Speaker 2 (18:19):
I think Murphy won.
Speaker 3 (18:21):
Yeah. I didn't even have to use a lifeline, did I?
Speaker 7 (18:23):
No?
Speaker 2 (18:23):
I mean that day when we got married.
Speaker 5 (18:24):
You want You're right, Joe, do you ever save the questions?
Speaker 7 (18:29):
No?
Speaker 2 (18:30):
I'm sorry, I don't remember.
Speaker 3 (18:31):
All right, I bet I you know what we need
to go? Look, I might have that somewhere, I hope.
Speaker 1 (18:35):
So all right, Joanna Antonia, thank you for reaching out.
We love hearing from you.
Speaker 4 (18:40):
Coming up and the next five minutes with Murphy Samon joke.
Speaker 1 (18:43):
Now, you guys, remember that producer David's mom and dad
now have Netflix thanks to producer David. He's helping them
with all that. Your mom has a binge show now,
Oh yes, it's a big one in the new season's
coming out next. All let's do that next. So this
is one of my favorite things that producer David has
been doing.
Speaker 7 (19:01):
Recently, is that and bring his parents into the twenty
first century out time?
Speaker 1 (19:05):
Yes, so you have helped them recently with any computer
problems with getting them all hooked up on Netflix.
Speaker 2 (19:14):
So they didn't have it at first, right, so you
had to explain.
Speaker 7 (19:16):
To them how it streaming service is okay, okay, And
so now they're just there have a fear of technology,
of anything new and okay, the hang of it. You
just got to be stubborn and like ring with them.
And once they do it, like right now, my mom's
on board. She's finally like figured it out and she
loves it.
Speaker 2 (19:33):
Is it? Isn't it weird for you to become the
teacher with them?
Speaker 4 (19:36):
Is it?
Speaker 6 (19:36):
Yes?
Speaker 7 (19:36):
And I mean, I just I'm so used to it
at this point, Like it's just funny because I know
I always tell them, like, I know, you're so stubborn,
but just trust me, because you're gonna love it.
Speaker 6 (19:44):
You're gonna love it.
Speaker 7 (19:44):
And finally now they got the hang of it, and
they are all excited because they realize, oh, there's no
commercials with this.
Speaker 6 (19:49):
You just watch as much as you want.
Speaker 3 (19:52):
We talked about it.
Speaker 2 (19:53):
Yes, you're being patient.
Speaker 3 (19:54):
Is this a smart TV? A Firestick Roku.
Speaker 7 (19:57):
They're on the Wii console, right, that's right. Yeah, it's
like the hardest thing they can imagine. She had, like
point name, Yeah, people buy a Roku. I'm gonna get
them something better, but for now, so they decided what
they they liked, Netflix and stuff. That's what we had
line around the house that they could use, like it's
free and right there. Okay, but she started watching Orange
(20:18):
is the New Black.
Speaker 2 (20:20):
I'm sorry, really.
Speaker 3 (20:22):
How am I that here?
Speaker 7 (20:24):
Honey?
Speaker 1 (20:25):
This is but she went, huh, I'm not to say
that's not an easy going show.
Speaker 7 (20:30):
Well, what I did is I went in March. You
know you can see add things to your list and
I mark shows.
Speaker 6 (20:35):
I know my mom.
Speaker 7 (20:35):
I was like, I know what you're gonna like, So
I'm not she's gonna like and it's like, let me
try this one that's new.
Speaker 6 (20:40):
And she's loving it. She's on a season two Remember
about season two so much?
Speaker 7 (20:45):
I watched it within like forty eight hours, Like it's
so binge worthy, it's such a good show. Yeah, telling
me where she's at, I'm like, oh, and so we're
already talking about what characters we like and don't like,
and yeah, I'm not spoiling anything for I'm like, oh,
just wait, and she doesn't know.
Speaker 6 (20:59):
She doesn't realize it. The season five is coming out
in like June.
Speaker 2 (21:02):
Or she's gonna have to really get on it.
Speaker 7 (21:04):
She thinks she's gonna be done up these four seasons.
I'm gonna be like, surprise, you got another one.
Speaker 1 (21:08):
Got her, You've got her doing something that she can
now you know, really she's gonna be busy binging. And
what about your dad? Weren't they gonna do some stuff together.
Speaker 6 (21:17):
He's still kind of stubborn about it.
Speaker 3 (21:19):
He probably can't believe they can't believe they're showing some
of that stuff on TV.
Speaker 7 (21:24):
He's like watching Andy Griffin on TV Land. I'm like,
you can watch all you want on Netflix. But he
doesn't get it yet.
Speaker 3 (21:32):
Right, that'll never catch on. So the more I think
about this, the more I think we're gonna have to
call a professional. Jody. I mean, last hour, I was
telling you Sam that you know, we've got a swarming
issue at the house, termites or and I'm not really
really worried about it, but Jody asked a question ago
that a minute ago that just made me think, how
(21:53):
long did they swarm, and.
Speaker 1 (21:54):
When I can, I go out tonight and walk the
dogs and open my mouth and breathe.
Speaker 3 (21:58):
That Typically it's only you know, a couple of days,
and then they move on. Yeah, I've never seen it
move more than a week. And then, you know, it
was weird because last night they were all over me,
you know, and then it was called me because I
was walking out they weren't attacking me. But then when
I went back out later let the dogs out, they
were all gone. There wasn't the first term might around
a light at all. So I don't know if they're
(22:19):
really going to go away or do they just keep
coming every night. This has been a week now, has
it been a whole week? Almost?
Speaker 4 (22:25):
Really?
Speaker 1 (22:26):
The day my mom came over the other day and
I showed her the little practice table I'm gonna paint
for her, you know, before I paint her whole dining
room table and redo it and all.
Speaker 3 (22:34):
That, it disappeared before our eyes.
Speaker 7 (22:37):
No.
Speaker 2 (22:40):
No, the table was in the back of my car,
my SUV.
Speaker 1 (22:44):
So I open up, I take the key and I
open up, and when I opened it up, all these
little wings came flying out of my car.
Speaker 3 (22:51):
Out of the inside or probably off the back.
Speaker 2 (22:53):
Oh, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (22:54):
It had to be off the back.
Speaker 1 (22:55):
I thought they were on the inside, which means I
thought they had been on me at something fall off,
like I don't know what it is, but I'm ready
for them to be gone.
Speaker 3 (23:04):
Is it possible to have a termite infested vehicle? I
don't think so now.
Speaker 5 (23:08):
Because that I mean, that's metal and stuff.
Speaker 3 (23:11):
Right, I hope that would be weird.
Speaker 1 (23:12):
It's making me itch just thinking about it, you know.
And the thing about these, Sam, when they're on you,
you don't know it. Murphy walked into the house up
to taking the garbage out the other night and he
had like four on his shorts.
Speaker 2 (23:22):
I'm like, get out of here with these.
Speaker 3 (23:24):
Then I thought Jody was taking me behind the ear.
That was the case either Now, so I think I'm
gonna call somebody professionally instead of googling and guessing, which
is really all I've done. And this seems to be stressing.
Speaker 1 (23:34):
Is out and we have a termite contract right so
the house is safe. Our guy, We'll we're just their
favorites right now.
Speaker 4 (23:41):
Yeah, Sam has music News.
Speaker 5 (23:43):
Got some brand new another brand new Prince song you've
never heard before. Excellent until next.
Speaker 4 (23:50):
Sam's got music news.
Speaker 5 (23:51):
Well, as we know, Prince's Purple Rain, the remastered release
is coming out next month, June twenty third, and along
with it, there's gonna be a lot of extra stuff,
like songs the vault, things that have never been heard before.
And they've kind of teased us with a new medley
that's a song called Our Destiny Roadhouse Garden. The our
Destiny part was Lisa, you know, one of his backup singers,
(24:13):
kind of sang that one, yeah, and then it blended
into Roadhouse Garden, which Prince takes.
Speaker 3 (24:25):
That sounds like that would have been recorded in that eighties.
Heyday tech.
Speaker 2 (24:29):
It sounds exactly like Hasley Park.
Speaker 5 (24:30):
Yeah, eighties actually recorded June seventh, nineteen eighty four.
Speaker 4 (24:35):
Oh really.
Speaker 5 (24:37):
Anyway, So that's gonna be on the release, the re
release of Purple Rain coming.
Speaker 3 (24:42):
Out June twenty third.
Speaker 5 (24:43):
Oh my goodness, hope we will tease.
Speaker 3 (24:45):
Us with a few more songs before then too.
Speaker 2 (24:46):
I'm with it.
Speaker 3 (24:47):
We get to hear it.
Speaker 5 (24:48):
Katie Perry, now we you know she's up for the
Idle Judge ship the Post on the air. She's now
confirmed that her album's date the dropping of the album
and a world tour.
Speaker 2 (25:02):
Saw this all over the place.
Speaker 5 (25:03):
Yesterday's June the ninth. The album and it's called Witness,
which a lot of her I don't know what her
fans are called, and a lot of them.
Speaker 3 (25:09):
Thought the album was going to be called Witness.
Speaker 5 (25:12):
And then she announced that she's going to start an
arena tour in September in Ohio and wrap it up
in February in Vancouver. So she's going to be going
all the way on that one. Oh and by the way,
you know she is up for the judge ship jobs.
But also they're talking to another person. The word is
Chris Martin.
Speaker 3 (25:33):
Stuck. That would be you'd be a good judge, bab Yeah.
Speaker 5 (25:37):
Katie and Chris is judges and Idol big time. Speaking
of judges too, I got a judge that they're talking to,
or a possible judge for the X Factor, the one
over in the UK. Nicole Scherzinger apparently is leaving to
go do some acting on the stage, and so they
are actually talking to Mariah to replace her.
Speaker 1 (25:57):
When you take your take a word of advice from Idol, well.
Speaker 3 (26:02):
But you know what I mean. She did it on
Idol and she did find.
Speaker 2 (26:06):
Mixed with others.
Speaker 1 (26:07):
Yeah, he got into catfights on idol.
Speaker 5 (26:09):
Yeah, anyway, this'll be with Simon said next to her,
So maybe he's that would be good for them. Let
you know how that turns out.
Speaker 4 (26:16):
Murphy sim Joey Music News.
Speaker 1 (26:19):
So what's this good news about when your son Parker
goes away to boarding school.
Speaker 2 (26:23):
She's been at this whole semester.
Speaker 5 (26:25):
Well, actually it's turned out much better for him school
wise than we ever thought it would. I'll tell you why.
Speaker 3 (26:33):
Always have some happy, uplifting news. You know, Jody does
something called the Good Thing. I think this little story
from Sam actually kind of fits that.
Speaker 1 (26:39):
Jody Room, this is exciting to hear. So your son Parker,
who has been at boarding school.
Speaker 5 (26:44):
Boarding school for this this was his first semester doing that,
and he is going back in the fall for next
school year. Yeah, decisions, and he's supposed to get out Friday.
He's finals are all this week. Then he's getting out Friday. Well,
last week I was talking to his mom and it
turns out at his grades were all you had straight a's,
so they exempted him from all his finals.
Speaker 3 (27:06):
What really?
Speaker 5 (27:07):
Yeah? So sixth grade and this was like what all
of a sudden. Sixth grade graduation was yesterday and he
got to leave straight from you know, they packed him
up and he got straight from there.
Speaker 2 (27:16):
So he's at his mom's already.
Speaker 5 (27:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (27:18):
Oh that's awesome.
Speaker 5 (27:20):
Yeah, and he won gold AR and gold AM, which
I still am trying to find out what that is.
I'm assuming it's advanced reading and accelerated reader, accelerated reading,
accelerated Math.
Speaker 3 (27:29):
I don't know, man.
Speaker 2 (27:30):
Did he know that was a possibility to be exempt
from the exams?
Speaker 5 (27:33):
No, he didn't, because because when we've been talking and
it's like, this is your final day, your final he's like, yep, yep,
can't wait, yep, and then all of a sudden, boom
early you don't have to do it.
Speaker 3 (27:42):
Man, So how does he feel about all this? Is
it real? Is he excited about the progress or oh?
Speaker 5 (27:47):
Yeah, I mean he's looking forward to going back to
his mom gave him the option to of staying there
for the summer, not summer school, because he doesn't need,
you know, to make up anything. But they also let
you just board for the summer and then you work
around campus. But he wanted to come home for summer.
Speaker 2 (28:04):
Yeah, that's great.
Speaker 5 (28:05):
So he signed up for a bunch of baseball camps
this summer, so that'll do him some.
Speaker 2 (28:09):
So how long has he been there?
Speaker 7 (28:10):
Then?
Speaker 1 (28:10):
When did he start? I can't remember when you got
the ticket. I know that when you were driving in there,
so well when did he start? There was either January
or first of February. It was this semester, right, So
at the beginning it was the heart. It was a
really hard thing for you guys and all that, and
now this is the this is what you kind of
want to see on the back end of a hard decision,
(28:32):
but also.
Speaker 5 (28:33):
Too, you need to stick We need to stick with
it because you come off a one semester like this,
straight age. All right, solved, problem solved right now, you're
gonna stick with this for a couple of years.
Speaker 3 (28:43):
Well, since he's not staying up there to work with
the campus, you could always put him to work around
your house, right, I wonder if he can cut grass.
Speaker 2 (28:50):
You don't need that. You got a neighbor cutting.
Speaker 4 (28:55):
Judy's got the Hollywood Outsider Why.
Speaker 1 (28:57):
It might not be the happiest of mornings for Simone
Bio and zac Efron signs on for a new movie
that you may not want to see him.
Speaker 4 (29:04):
In Jody's Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 1 (29:09):
So last night a big shakeup on Dancing with the
Stars and they announced the finalist because there's already time
for there to be three couples next week. So someone
very much loved and expected to win went.
Speaker 4 (29:20):
Home, Simone and Sasha Miles.
Speaker 2 (29:27):
Simone Biles Olympic Gold Medaline.
Speaker 1 (29:29):
If you would have told me in the beginning, well,
I would expect her to be winning. Actually, so what
happened is apparently there was some fan backlash because not
this week, because this week she had two perfect scores
and she Simone Biles. The week before she was not
happy with one of her scores, and Tom Bearsron asked
her why was she not smiling, and she sort of
(29:50):
snapped back, smiling doesn't win gold medals. You didn't see
it all over social media, like she's got a T shirt.
Now she put it in her snapchat. Apparently you're gonna
be able to buy the T shirt soon that says
smiling doesn't win gold medals.
Speaker 2 (30:03):
And so apparently some fans who are voting didn't like that.
Speaker 1 (30:06):
By the way, Tom Bearsron went back and apologized to
her publicly I'm sorry. I didn't mean to, you know,
I think that's a fair question. Yeah, he's the host.
He's supposed to pull out their feelings, and boy did he.
So smiling doesn't win gold medals. Remember that, that doesn't
mean that's why she went home. Who can really know.
Speaker 5 (30:22):
Earlier in the season, Maxim and girl Heather whatever her
name is, perfect stores and they went home.
Speaker 1 (30:28):
Yeah, it's a popularity contest. Anyway, She's fabulous and I'll
miss her. I would have wanted to see her in
the finals because I probably will watch the finals. But
Simone Files went home last night, so that's, I guess,
a little bit shocking. I've got zac Efron news, and
you know, the next time you get to see him
as really soon in the bay Watch movie.
Speaker 3 (30:48):
Hey one direction here for the qualifiers.
Speaker 2 (30:50):
I'm Matt Brodie.
Speaker 3 (30:51):
I don't have to try out.
Speaker 2 (30:52):
I've got two gold medals.
Speaker 5 (30:53):
Yeah, yeah, we know what gold medals will get you.
Speaker 2 (30:57):
At home on Dancing.
Speaker 1 (31:00):
Monny that these two stories go together because some on
Biles has a huge crush on zac Efron.
Speaker 2 (31:05):
Okay, that's a fact.
Speaker 1 (31:06):
You know the movies that zac Affron's been doing lately,
they're almost all comedy, goofy, rap boy comedy whatever not. Now,
before the release of Baywatch in theaters, he has signed
on and it's been announced he's going to star as
Ted Bundy in an upcoming film called Extremely Wicked, Shockingly
Evil and vile. I vote for shortening the name of
(31:28):
the film. And by the way, if you don't know
who Ted Bundy was, he was a disgusting, yes, thank
thank you, a mass murderer. Zach Effron has already auditioned
for it and nailed it.
Speaker 2 (31:38):
They said he really did a good job.
Speaker 1 (31:40):
This film will be told through the eyes of Bundy's
longtime girlfriend, who believed in him at first and then
was like.
Speaker 2 (31:46):
Oh, I don't know, I don't want to see Zach
Effron do that.
Speaker 1 (31:50):
Coming up in your next Hollywood Outsider this morning at
eight thirty, is it true or not that Chris Daughtry
is headed to the Idol reboot?
Speaker 4 (31:57):
Murphy Sam and Jody you are, Hollywood Sam.
Speaker 3 (32:04):
Here's something that reinforces the reason that people call me
mister Safety. Jody had lost her keys.
Speaker 2 (32:09):
Well just this morning when I was trying to get here,
I didn find my.
Speaker 3 (32:12):
Keys, and you know, and so she came, you know,
running back in the back and you know, said like,
I can't find my keys. What's going on? And we looked,
I don't know, twenty minutes or something like that. Finally
Jody has the smart idea that I didn't think of,
grab the extra set of keys.
Speaker 1 (32:26):
Oh, I had to get here. I had to get
here early and it couldn't really be late. So it's like,
I need your extra keys. I'll look for my keys later.
Speaker 6 (32:32):
I don't care.
Speaker 3 (32:33):
Jody gets here a little bit before me, and so anyway,
you know, when she's split without the keys, and she
told me, please don't spend your time looking for the keys.
You know just what we will find them. Well, I
was determined, you know me, And where were these they
They can only be in one of a couple of
different places. True. I found them on a little shelf
in the car port right outside the back door.
Speaker 5 (32:52):
Okay, conveniently located to steal.
Speaker 3 (32:54):
Conveniently located near the back door and the vehicle. Yeah,
you know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (32:57):
I could have taken the vehicle. I could have gotten
into the house.
Speaker 1 (33:00):
I mean, it was just one of those things where
I was in and out of the house yesterday afternoon.
I've got this whole area where I'm working on my
mom's table and starting going to start painting the extra table,
and I just left them out there, and knowing who
he is, knowing mister safety over here.
Speaker 2 (33:16):
I'm so sorry. I know that freaking and.
Speaker 3 (33:19):
I knew that it was an accent. What's weird about that?
When that kind of thing happens, you're not as nervous
about it until you realize where they were, You know
what I mean. If they're in a sofa cushion, no
big deal, pants pocket or something like that. But when
you find it outside right exactly overnight.
Speaker 5 (33:34):
Yeah, I've found mine before, stuck in the door.
Speaker 3 (33:37):
Yeah, on the outside. It's like you come in, you.
Speaker 5 (33:40):
Come in with so much it's like, I'll get the
keys in a second.
Speaker 2 (33:42):
It's been overnight and you did that.
Speaker 3 (33:44):
Yeahh my god.
Speaker 5 (33:45):
The next morning when you're looking, it's like, I only
put those things in three or four places.
Speaker 3 (33:50):
Where are they? That's when you're goind of feel like
you have a guardian angel looking over you.
Speaker 1 (33:54):
Look, that's that look. We all get that way, And
it's the little things. Is the key, you know, the
keys are little important things. One of my favorite things
was one evening when Murphy came home on the phone,
like on a conference call, just working and talking and
working and talking. He comes in on the phone waves
at us and goes into his office that he's not,
you know, on the phone in the middle of us.
And then it's an hours pass, hours pass, and I
(34:15):
decided to.
Speaker 2 (34:15):
Go walk the dogs and do an evening run or whatever.
Speaker 1 (34:18):
And I walk outside and his car door is just
wide open. Wasn't really we've been like animals could have
been in there. You were that distracted, So it was
a distraction thing. But thank you for bringing me my keys.
Speaker 3 (34:31):
You're welcome.
Speaker 4 (34:32):
I mean up in the next five minutes with Nothy, Sammy.
Speaker 1 (34:35):
Jery why our daughter Phoebe's been cutting up my jeans
and Lisa's got more teachers gift ideas for us from
eight seven seven three one zero four MSJ.
Speaker 3 (34:48):
Where would we be without great teachers? You know, I
mean at the end of the school year, so this
is the time of the year to remember them at
Some teacher gift ideas for you at Murphy Salmon Jodi
dot com and something that you might have missed on
the podcast after the show and catch up by subscribing
call us at eight seven seven three one oh four MSJ.
We'll always love hearing from you. Good morning.
Speaker 8 (35:07):
I it's Resa. I always facebook you guys.
Speaker 9 (35:10):
I'm the one who.
Speaker 8 (35:11):
Told Bailey he needs to put a man fun in.
Speaker 2 (35:15):
Awesome.
Speaker 8 (35:16):
Definitely needs to do a man fun.
Speaker 9 (35:18):
I just wanted to let you know about teacher's gifts.
I am, you know, absolutely for the teachers. I am
not a teacher, but I so believe in helping them
out in any way. Yes, so I believe in totally
gifting them. I always make a whole bunch of different
kind of candy and cookies, and so I give them
homemade stuff and also a nice gift. And then I
asked them to about here. You know, what do you like,
(35:39):
what's your favorite color? What do you like to eat?
For my daughter's teacher, she's getting a mug. You know,
one of those thermal mugs that really keep it hot
or cold, like a getty mug.
Speaker 2 (35:51):
Yeah, yeah, serious smid two days. Yeah that's better.
Speaker 3 (35:55):
Yeah, yeah, I get that.
Speaker 9 (35:58):
But you can get it at Walmart for like seven something,
so it really does the job.
Speaker 1 (36:02):
It's me.
Speaker 9 (36:03):
It's in the hunting section, that's sports section, and so
I am having her initials put on the mug. And
we're putting her name on the beach towel, so she'll
have her yetti mug. What's a beach towel and it
all has her initials name on it, and I think
she'll like it all out.
Speaker 3 (36:20):
That's great.
Speaker 5 (36:20):
If any of that gets stolen, at least she knows
it's hers.
Speaker 2 (36:25):
Always the bright side. Well, thank you, Lisa, good ideas.
Speaker 9 (36:29):
Oh you're welcome, And I just love you guys. You
guys don't. Life's so awesome. You are my drive to
work to every morning, and I always go on your
Facebook and you guys have the best recipe.
Speaker 2 (36:41):
Thank you. I'm so glad you're there. Reach out any time, Okay.
Speaker 3 (36:44):
Thank you all right? Eight seven three one oh four ms.
J love to hear from you. You know. The other
reason I used to like names on towels is when
it was available, which of course i'm not now. Jody
and I've been married for a long time. Exactly. You
could walk up to somebody immediately, yeah, what's going on?
Speaker 2 (37:01):
Love? Oh? I thought you mean on your own beach
town like he.
Speaker 5 (37:06):
Means check pick up?
Speaker 3 (37:07):
Yeah, how do you know my name? That's right there?
On the towel.
Speaker 2 (37:12):
Awesome game, baby, So what are you.
Speaker 1 (37:14):
Doing coming up with Murphy's Sam joby tell you why
our youngest child is cutting up my jeans.
Speaker 3 (37:21):
Sam, you're a big Game of Thrones fans, and you
miss JODI's Hollywood outside about the spinoffs that are coming.
Catch out on the Murphy Stay with Jody podcast.
Speaker 2 (37:30):
That's right.
Speaker 1 (37:32):
You know. Our Phoebe is twelve and she's ad I
wire do it yourself.
Speaker 3 (37:37):
She is.
Speaker 2 (37:38):
She loves to get crafty and it's cool.
Speaker 1 (37:39):
You know. I did just buy her a hot glue
gun like you suggested, Sam, boy, she has put that
thing to use. In fact, I got a lot of handmade,
homemade Mother's Day gifts. I've shared some on our Facebook page.
Speaker 2 (37:50):
You remember the green felt that I bought that was
for her Kermit for Kermit.
Speaker 3 (37:55):
I was wondering where that felt came from. The Kermit
the frog costume.
Speaker 1 (37:58):
I bought way too much because I thought we were
gonna be doing more with the felt, and she ended
up doing a body suit and just the just the
little neck thing. So I had way too much, shoved
it in a closet. Well, she found it okay, and
so she made all kinds of little things. She even
made me a little bag to hold my keys. You know,
some mom, when you're reach into your purse, you can't
find your keys.
Speaker 2 (38:19):
Now you can.
Speaker 3 (38:19):
Should have been using that when you lost them yesterday, right,
I know where your keys outside.
Speaker 1 (38:25):
Anyway, She's made all kinds of cool stuff. And she
came running into the room the other night asked me
if I had any jeans old jeans. I didn't need
or want any more. And I know where she's going
because she's making all kinds of diy stuff. And to
be honest, I had one pair that was too big
and one pair that she's small.
Speaker 2 (38:42):
Like all women. I don't know if you guys know that,
but all women.
Speaker 1 (38:45):
Have stuff in their closets that used to fit them,
to fit them now, and you know.
Speaker 3 (38:49):
And no, I didn't realize that.
Speaker 1 (38:50):
I hope to fit into one day kind of like that.
So I went with the tear the pair that's too tight.
I'm like, I'm not gonna these have been dried and
so many times have been shrunk. Gave them to her
and she made a couple of really cute things. She
took the bottom of them and I guess glued or
sowed the bottom.
Speaker 3 (39:09):
She sewed the bottom. Would you call those the cuffs?
I don't know the basic the bottom of the bottom
came out well she uh.
Speaker 2 (39:16):
She made little just containers for me, one for me,
and then she gave one.
Speaker 3 (39:20):
To my mom.
Speaker 2 (39:22):
Stuff.
Speaker 1 (39:23):
It's the cutest thing ever. Then she made an apron
for my mom, like.
Speaker 5 (39:27):
The green felt apron.
Speaker 2 (39:28):
No, no, no, no, blue jeans. Blue jeans, ain't that cute?
Speaker 3 (39:32):
And so she was trying to picture it right now, Well,
here's what you do. You picture the pockets on the back,
but you flip it around and everything. The pockets remain
on the front, but the back is just the waistband.
Speaker 2 (39:42):
And you can button it.
Speaker 1 (39:44):
I'm that cute and you got pockets on the front
of it. So it makes a really good apron. And
she made that for my mom for Mother's Day.
Speaker 3 (39:49):
Don't feel bad about not understanding that, Sam, because Jody's
mom kind of looked to look at it for a
minute to get it to explanation. Is her backwards pants
with no bath Yeah? I put them on.
Speaker 4 (40:00):
Next, Jody's got the Hollywood outside.
Speaker 1 (40:02):
So will Chris Daughtry be a judge on the American
Idol reboot?
Speaker 2 (40:05):
Not so fast to believe that.
Speaker 4 (40:09):
Jody's Hollywood Outsider.
Speaker 1 (40:11):
Yesterday, it was announced by one or two media outlets
that Chris Daughtry has joined the American Idol reboot as
a judge.
Speaker 2 (40:19):
I'm down with that.
Speaker 1 (40:20):
I'm fine with it, and I like it, and I
was excited and then wait, wait, wait, it didn't go everywhere.
It's kind of like, maybe it's not so true. So
it's trade to say it's just a rumor. At this point,
they could be in talks because the word is over
at ABC for the reboot of Idol, they want a
full panel of judges who've actually been in those contestants
spots before, whether they've won or not. So the word
(40:41):
is they're talking to Carrie Underwood. Yeah, we know they're
talking to Katy Perry, she's never been there before. And
also the word was that Chris Martin from Coldplay. Yeah,
so I kind of want the Chris Daughtry story to
be true, but apparently it's not one hundred percent true.
A word is they also ABC talking to Adam Lamb,
(41:01):
and you know what, any of it could happen at
this point for the American Idol reboot.
Speaker 4 (41:06):
Murphy Sam and Jody, you are a Hollywood insider.
Speaker 1 (41:12):
We've been sharing so much about teachers gifts, like what
are great ideas and what you know? Teachers have also
called a lot and told us what they've enjoyed getting
over the years. You could, of course do that anytime
eight seven seven three one zero for M. S. J.
Speaker 2 (41:24):
If you want to join us.
Speaker 1 (41:26):
I was telling the girls just last night, write me
your list of who you want to give to this.
Speaker 5 (41:31):
Year, teachers and friends or just teaching just well.
Speaker 1 (41:34):
Just teachers at the end of the school year teachers.
And I'm waiting for that list from both of them.
But I know Taylors are going to be a little
different this year. Like I used to when it was
teacher gift time, whether it's Christmas or at the end
of the school year, I would we would get the
same thing for everybody, making it easy on us and
fair if you will, you know, because teachers talk whatever,
who knows what what's discussing the teachers lounge. But this
(41:57):
year is a little different for Taylor because she will
be at the end of this school which is in
a week and a half, moving to another school next year.
So there are some people who are super important to
her and have been super important in her life. This
at the school that she wants to really gift. So
we need to actually like go shopping, and she wants
to do it specifically. So I need to like make plans.
Speaker 3 (42:17):
For last week. You're running out of time here.
Speaker 9 (42:19):
I know.
Speaker 1 (42:20):
That's the thing about kids don't realize that either. They're like, no, no, no,
you need to tell me now, and we need to
make plans to go.
Speaker 5 (42:26):
It'll be the day before the last the night before
we go to the store.
Speaker 4 (42:30):
Coming up next with Murphy's salmon Jokey.
Speaker 5 (42:32):
If you got about eighteen hours to spare and you're
a big mister Rogers fan, I'll tell you where you
can watch each and every one of mister Rogers neighborhoods
right now. That's good, you're a big mister Rogers fan.
You're in luck right now. In fact, from now through
June third, Twitch dot tv. It's on Amazon owned video service.
(42:53):
They actually it's a gamers I guess website channel. They
are running all the mister Rogers upisodes, eight hundred and
eighty six episodes.
Speaker 2 (43:02):
They started on Twitch. Like that's an odd.
Speaker 5 (43:05):
They started it yesterday. Well, the thing is Okay, they're
considered gamer, but they're trying to Their whole thing is
they're trying to expand out and do more things. There
you go, they did they did a Bob Ross marathon
a while back too, you know, so we're like.
Speaker 3 (43:17):
No, did they really they could paint for it? So
it sounds like it's a PBS related thing.
Speaker 5 (43:22):
Well, this one and this one actually is because for
the eight hundred episodes over eighteen days, they're also running
commercials in between to donate to PBS because obviously that's
where mister Rogers was.
Speaker 2 (43:33):
And it's a push then too.
Speaker 5 (43:35):
That's good. That's also a publicity stunt to drag people in,
Like I mean, we're they're episodes that they're showing that
I've only been seen once.
Speaker 3 (43:43):
So that's pretty cool. You know what, even though it
kind of looks old school by today's standards, I don't
think the message is any The message is just as
important today. So introducing that to a whole new generation.
Speaker 2 (43:52):
They need it.
Speaker 1 (43:53):
I mean, they talked about the things that kids needed
to hear in a very sensitive way, like you're right
to feel sad for that.
Speaker 2 (44:00):
Boom sit with that for a few.
Speaker 5 (44:01):
Hey, soo as an adult, I still messmerize how they
make crayons and toothbrushes.
Speaker 3 (44:07):
I love those videos.
Speaker 2 (44:08):
It's what you need to do. Hang on Twitch This week.
Speaker 5 (44:10):
