away a high Endi venue yesterday for the couple that
stayed on the car the longest and it was our
Brave Hearts and they're with us now.

There was a very emotional moment. Here's here's the moment
when we basically handed over the keys.

Adam, what does this mean to you?

MIKEE My kids inspire. He's so much to see the
stuff that Cody goes through that he teaches me to
be strong and I'm going to be a good role
model for even to show him that he can get
through anything.

what he goes through constantly, like this will be his
eighth operation and there'll be more in future.

And I just he loves Blue is dense blue. He's
gonna love it really good. I love that the boys

And despite the fact they're in a radio station with
everything that's going on in here, whatever's on the iPad
is more interesting.

take aiming to stop shaking? It was a long drive
home with a lot of emotions between us both.

Yeah, I got stopped so many times yesterday. So many
people were just really invested in you guys, because this
car is going to make a world of difference to you,
isn't it.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
Like what's going to happen? Oh, just massive change.
Speaker 7 (01:58):
Like I went into work yesterday and I had to
go and pick the boys up from my parents' house.
And there I was in my car and it was
hot and it you know, he's just thinking that this
is going to change so much. It still doesn't feel real.
Speaker 4 (02:12):
Because Cozy's got another heart operation coming up.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
When is that?
Speaker 5 (02:15):
The March the six still'll be having his fon time procedure,
so that his last procedure basically replumbed his heart to
pump his blood to the top half of his body,
so this one will do the bottom half of the
body so as he grows, so like if you look
at him, he is quite blue. His fingers are blue,
his feet are blue, so that'll just bypass the bad

side of his heart and be able to pump that
blood through to the bottom.

The rest of his body. He as bright as a
button and not lacking energy, so they'll be double that energy.

Your daughter Lacey is also here with your Lacey excited
about the new car.

Yes, yes, Lacy, you had a bit of an issue,
didn't you, because you told everyone at school that your
mum was going to try and win a car by

What if your family said they're in tears just as
much as us, Like they've been with us every step
of the way with Cody, and they experience the same
feelings that we go through, so they know how much
it means to us and how much it's going to
make a difference for Cody's health and you know, his
quality of life essentially, and just the amount of strangers

that we've spoken to, like, I feel so supported and
I just feel like I've had this massive hug from
Brisbane and it's given me. You know, I know that
I have the support and the strength now to be
able to go through this next surgery, knowing that not
only do I have my family and friends, I've got
the whole of Brisbane you now as well well.

Speaking of which, we received a message and despite us
begging them to come and talk to you, they want
to remain anonymous. They said, please accept this gift from
one Brisbane family to another. We're incredibly blessed to have
two healthy children and be in a position where we
can pay it forward. A brand new car, needs new
car seats for your beautiful boys to enjoy and make
