text you some photos that she got from a different person.

I mean, there's this guy that approaches me on a
Saturday night. He has my number, which I found really
disconcerting because I'm very particular about who I give it to,
particularly on dating apps. But he texts me and you know,
it goes backwards and forwards, pretty full on, pretty forward.

Cause him solf Fortalian, looks like he's about twenty five
but says he's forty six. And then we get this
message from my neighbor Bella who when I was talking
about on air, she said, no, no, no, he went under
a different name with her the same name that when
we called the number on air, we got the answering
machine too, and he kind of did the same thing

to her.

Same photos too, Yeah, same photos. Who is this guy?
Speaker 3 (01:26):
Yeah? Well sounds a little bit strange, doesn't it.

The thing that's thrown us off is he gave us
a phone number and it seems like it's a local
phone number. We only got a voice message, but it
was an Australian sounding person that answered the phone. What
does that say to you?

Well, I was very smart, and that's the first thing.
If he's getting a legitimate phone number to make some communications,
so I certainly can do some checks and see where
that phone number just that's for sure.
Speaker 2 (01:50):
So could someone from overseas mask themselves by using a
local number?
Speaker 3 (01:55):
Yeah? Absolutely, They could certainly use a burner phone or
a burner card to get a number and then you know,
make the calls of such. That's quite common really from scammers. Interesting.

Okay, So if we give you obviously that phone number,
you don't give him first names, hasn't he?
Speaker 2 (02:10):
Yeah? But no, no, no, gave me a full name, full name, okay,
and a suburb. I don't know if that helps particularly.
There's photos. That's about all I've got really.

Plus yeah, well it gives us something to start with anyway. Look,
I can certainly run out the phone number and see
where that leads us and who that belongs to. Think
it may may well be a Burner and a Prepaige
sym that goes nowhere, but you never know. We can
also run the name that he's given you, Robin. That
the name that he says he goes by. We can

run that out and see if that is a legitimate
name and where that goes. And we'll have a look
at the photos that he sent and see if we
can reverse in me some of those and see if
it belongs to any one legitimate as well. So I
put a little bit.

To go on so you can use those photos, Dave,
and then and work out who the actual person is
in those photos.

Yeah we can. I mean it's called reverse imaging. And
then you know, throwing those photos into the system and
seeing if they are used by any other forum. You know,
so if they are an exact clone, and it must
be an exact clone of that particular photo that they're using.
It can and it'll reveal, you know, with the source
of where that original photo comes from.
