Speaker 1 (00:01):
Well. Earlier this year, the greatest tennis star of all time,
the Goat, Serena Williams, announced that she was stepping away
from competing in tennis, but she recently made it clear
that it does not mean she's retiring from playing tennis.
At a recent tech conference, Serena was asked what are
the chances we will see her play again, and she

(00:22):
responded that the chances are very high, very high. So
here's a question. She's retiring, but she could play again,
you know. So yeah, she's the Tom Brady of tennis.
Is that what you're trying to say? Tommy, most shame. So,

(00:50):
Steve Um, I gotta ask you now, did you just
step away from comedy altogether or did you retire? Stand?
I know I'm asking. Yeah, we were all there and
it was a great night. Well, I was gonna say

(01:12):
it because I haven't done it, and I don't like
the way my timing is right now. Even though I
have jobs that have kept my comedy muscle active and sharp,
I don't have the set that I would be proud
of right now to put out I really don't. I
would need about six months on stage, yes, call it.

(01:37):
But I do have one in me, But I gotta
wait till I'm leaving TV. But that's what I was
gonna say. Is it because you're restricted? Because I think
we're ending this guy special? Gonna end? Why do you
want to end it? Though? Like that? I thought you
wanted to do this forever? Do what forever? Don't you

(02:00):
want it to be being in comedy and do stand up?
You know when you wanted it on your own terms? Forever? Forever?
I mean, you know what I mean? Like some of
those old comedians, like you know, did it till they
were well well up in age? Yeah, you don't look
good either though. It don't look good. Comedy don't look

(02:24):
good at a certain age. You just don't. Because you're
talking about what your next comedy special will end your career? Well, yes, yeah,
oh no, yes, no, no, no, it's hope. I'm just
telling you right now. I know it's a rap. What
I want You're gonna do it anyway? Yes? The most

(02:48):
pertinent question. Yeah, with that end, this radio show is welling,
Sponsors is gone. Everybody? Are you gone? Out the window?
I'm trying to figure out why you would be that?

(03:11):
Why would I do why would why would you do something?
That's going to end your career because of Dave Chappelle.
Dave Chappelle, what about him? Because his special motivated me. Yeah,
I want to say what I want to say too. Yeah,
he gets away with it. One of damn day, Chappelle

(03:35):
was so ignorant talking about Detroit. He said, they were
buying it. Dave, you know, suck Dave. We want our
money back, he said. I gathered myself. People love Detroit,
hear me, and hear me. Well, you will never money back,

(03:55):
he said. But then I felt so bad about it
because I just wasn't having a good night. I decided
to do something for the people of Detroit. So I
spent half of my money that night, and I bought
tens of thousands of dollars of bubble gum, and I
drove around the city passing out the bubble gum to

(04:16):
homeless people so they could chew it and still be hungry. Boy,
this boy's a food man, I said, Say it ain't,
so they could chew it all right, coming up in
