Dictionary maker Mirriam Webster has identified its word of the
year for twenty twenty two. Anyone have any idea what
the word might be? Vaccine? That's a good guess. But no,
that's not it. Junior, You got anything you know respiratory
or something? Uh? Uh no, it's just a new word

for Webster's Dictionary. The word of the year, Tommy, you
got anything? Gas lighting? The word is gas lighting? Uh? Yeah.
The Dictionary says that look ups for that word gas
lighting on its website increased one thousan seven hundred and
forty percent this year. The Dictionary defines gas lighting as

the psychological manipulation of a person, usually over an extended
period of time, that causes a victim to question the
validity of their own thoughts, perception of reality, or memories,
and typically leads to a confusion, loss of confidence and
self esteem, uncertainty of one's emotional or mental stability, and

a dependency on the perpetrator. Wow, that ain't gas Like
that's blackmail. Um. An example of gaslighting is like when
a cheater, someone that's cheated on you says, I'm not cheating.
You're just paranoid, you know. It's a way to deflect
