Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's time now to check your voicemail Steve eight seven
seven twenty nine. Steve, you can call if you want
to leave a message for Steve. You might just hear
your call on the air.

Speaker 2 (00:09):
Here we go.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
This is from James in Memphis. James left a message
about fashion Steve.

Speaker 3 (00:15):
Hey, Steve, this is James Man. I would just called
him to congratulate you that you're bringing the veil bottom
of back and you look real shock man, I'm so
tally tight clothes you can't believe yourself. So Steve, thank you,
bro set the styles for the Kings in America.

Speaker 4 (00:35):
Yeah, James, I'm glad they breaking him back because I
really upset that I threw so many of my clothes
away coat baw Lord versus bar had them already. That's why,
you know, it ain't even a stretch for me to
wear like the bail bottoms and flat leg pairs because
I grew up in that.

Speaker 2 (00:54):
That was my first you know, when I was in
high school. Man, that was it.

Speaker 4 (00:58):
The veil bottoms, legs. You know, that's what's happening now.
That's what's coming out of Paris and Italy right now,
fully arrived in America yet because European and the Italians
and the French a year in front, so what you

(01:19):
can buy over there won't be available here for a year.
The facts, I'm not that's just facts. And so uh
you know, we had started, uh with some designs in
that area, and then it took off. I'm not taking
credit for it. I'm just saying we had, we had
already started. So so when they started coming out this year,

(01:42):
already had them because I was getting them made last year.
Oh good, I'm already we was making them last year.

Speaker 1 (01:57):
I can't Why did they call you blue again?

Speaker 2 (02:00):
Because I'll be dressing. I love that.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
This is from Robin Santa Monica. He left a message
about the w NBA Steed.

Speaker 5 (02:11):
I was up, Steve. This is Rob from Santa Monica, California.
Want to give a shout out to all of y'all
in the Morning show. Carlo, Mississippi, Monica, Shirley of course, nephew,
Tommy and Junior, and of course the man mister Steve
Harvey himself. I wanted to speak real quick on Shirley
brought up the disparity between the WNBA player salary and

(02:32):
the NBA player salary. Real quick, something that people don't
think about is that there's only twelve teams in the WNBA.
There's only twelve teams versus thirty teams in the NBA,
So of course he ain't gonna make the same amount
of money. What the WNBA needs to do is try
to fill out more teams in the league. Number one.
Number two, stop playing basketball in the summer. When my

(02:54):
team loses in the NBA, I don't feel like watching
no basketball in the summer time. Summertimes for vacations is hot.
Ain't nobody trying to be up in the stadium with
some folks or whatever watching the game all day. You're
trying to be out, You're trying to go on vacation
and things like that. And so what the w NBA
needs to do is have their season during basketball season

(03:17):
with everybody else. You notice that the NCAA Women's Tournament
ain't losing no viewers. They making way more money and
it's getting way more viewers than the w n b A.
So the w n b A is losing to their
own counterparts in college whereas the NBA is not losing
to the NCAA Tournament as far as viewership and as
far as revenue. So I just wanted to say that

(03:37):
real quick. I love what y'all doing. God bless y'all. Piece.

Speaker 4 (03:39):
You know what, he has a valid point, great voice. Yeah,
but you know because I was looking at the zoom
and they were just you know, holding the patting their
hand everything clothes and stuff. So I know that about it.
But I thought I thought they I thought he had
a valid point because I've often said that too.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
Man, that the summer time.

Speaker 4 (04:03):
But they want to pick summer because there's nothing else on.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
But the summer is just not a good look.

Speaker 4 (04:10):
Man.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
TV season goes down in the summer.

Speaker 4 (04:13):
They don't start back up to the fall, because first
of all, it gets dark on the East Coast at
nine o'clock. Ain't nobody in house watching no game at seventy.
And he's exactly right about that. He is one thousand
percent correct. And I hadn't even thought about it like that,
But that's true. And you need some more damn teams,
and then you need bodies in the seats, and ain't

(04:35):
nobody going in there in the summer.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
They got a couple of problems, but they be.

Speaker 4 (04:40):
Balling, man, and they gotta find a way put that
stuff on during the season.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
I didn't know it was just twelve teams. Yeah, all right.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
Coming up next, it is the Nephew and Today's pring
phone Call. Right after this, you're listening Morning Show
