Speaker 1 (00:01):
Well.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
According to NSN dot Com, Anita Baker fans in Atlanta
were upset this past Saturday when Anita canceled her show.
The doors to Anita State Farm Arena show opened to
guests at six pm and lights were expected to go
down at seven pm, but it never happened due to
late unforeseen circumstances. Tonight's and Evening with Anita Baker, event

(00:23):
featuring eight time Grammy Award winning superstar Anita Baker, set
to take place at State Farm Arena has been canceled,
was the message the email sent out to ticket holders
less than fifteen minutes before she was expected to grace
the stage. Purchasers were guaranteed a full refund at first
and out for a confusion and disappointments spilled out into

(00:46):
the public from concert goers. However, compassion grace were soon
expressed by fans who simply wanted to know just was
Anita doing okay?

Speaker 3 (00:54):
Was she all right?

Speaker 2 (00:56):
So?

Speaker 1 (00:57):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (00:58):
Go?

Speaker 2 (00:58):
Here's a question. Though, you guys perform all the time
on stage, have you ever had to cancel a show
so close to showtime? Have you ever had to do that?

Speaker 4 (01:10):
Guy, Steve No No, all.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
My years from stand up, I missed two shows, one
because the plane couldn't make it to burn me Ham.
I missed the first show. I ended up doing the
last two and then a show in uh Knoxville. I
didn't make it too old time because the car broke down.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
When I was with Luther. Luther's voice went out while
he was on stage into the first song, Yeah Yeah.
We was in Detroit and he said he said, oh no,
I can't do it tonight and came back two weeks later.
Then people don't want their money back at all. Luther
came back two weeks.

Speaker 4 (01:48):
Later, wait by Yeah home.

Speaker 3 (01:51):
Run here knocked it on the part the park Wow
told but told me, But you got to tell some
new Jokesuse they already told you, already told them to
two weeks I said, we'll not don go. I'm the
only one gotta change.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
But you rose to be.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
Thinking about him to He didn't change songs. Right, that's
the difference between comedy and yeah music. They come here
to hit comedy. You can't do that all right.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
Yeah, they never said what was wrong with Anita, so it.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
Was to be upset about that though. Yeah, you send
the email out fifteen minutes.

Speaker 4 (02:33):
Before she posted we'll go get that.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
Already.

Speaker 3 (02:39):
I'm in the I'm in the venue waiting.

Speaker 4 (02:40):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. This one lady.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
She went off on TikTok on social media talking about
Anita bad I was like.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
Well, first of all, you don't even know what happened,
you know, yeah, well she doesn't have an MO of
cancering showy.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
No, you know, no, all right. In other news, HBO's
real time host Bill Maher thinks Donald Trump is crazy.
During a recent CBS interview, Bill Maher said, the liberals
irritate him, but the Conservatives alarm him. Take a listen.

Speaker 4 (03:13):
They're very alarming. They're extremely alarming, more alarming.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
What do you say to your critics though, who say,
then you should just focus on them, Bill, If they're
more alarming to you than the left, and why not
shine the spotlight on them?

Speaker 4 (03:27):
Only the truth isn't one sided like that. The Democrats
constantly are running against Trump with the idea you people
out there couldn't possibly vote for this guy, and people
are saying, watch me, hold my beer, watch me to
vote for him again, instead of just saying, oh, he's lying,

(03:50):
we know he's a liar. He's Donald Trump. He can't
help himself. He's crazy. I mean I think literally crazy.
I think there's a kind of a level of malignant
arcissism which is not just a personality quirk. It's diagnosable,
and he suffers from it.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
Oh okay. Trump has repeatedly lashed out at Bill Maher,
calling him the worst.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
The worst. Why See, if you're going to call a
man the worst, then why But if he calls him
the worst, he has a long list of why. You know,
I just I just think he's really spot on when
he said that if you think they're not going to
vote for him, because I can't believe you're gonna vote
for him, they're just going to watch me. And that's

(04:35):
exactly what's happening. And this race is extremely close. I
mean it's not even a percentage point away, which is
a sad, sad statement for this country right here. This
is a this is our country right here at this point.
It's just shameful at this point, it really really is.

(05:00):
It's just shameful. It's it's ridiculous man, that you can
that you can put forth this type of representation for
your calls and your party. And the only reason you
can do that is because you fined with it because
that's how you really are. And they walk amongst us.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
Yeah, finally and entertainment to Whoopy Goberg has been married
three times and she is over marriage, she says. While
doing her press tour to promote her new memoir Bits
and Pieces, My Mother, My Brother and Me, journalist Chris
Chris Wallace asked Whoopy about her marriages. She said she
does not have energy for that kind of relationship. Whoopy

(05:38):
went on to say, when you're married to someone, you
have to be invested in how they're feeling. I am
not so so what do you believe is the key
to a healthy, long lasting relationship?

Speaker 3 (05:52):
Come on, married three times? Come on, we're listening how
you feel.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
I agree with what will be saying, except you got
to find someone who is worth being the investment because
the return is so valuable. That's the only thing. I
can understand what she is because I was sick of
investment with a low return, and I'm sure they might

(06:21):
have felt the same way too. But when you find
somebody that's worth the investment because the ROI the return
on your investment is great, then it's worth the investment.
And that's all it is, just been making bad choices, all.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
Right, Coming up with twenty minutes after the hour, It's
graduation season. We'll talk about it right after this. You're
listening hard Morning Show
