Dwayne says, I overheard my daughter and her cousin discussing dating,
and I was disturbed about the advice that was being given. Apparently,
my daughter, who was in her first year of college,
was given off bougie and exclusionary behavior. Her cousin said
that instead she should be open to going out with anyone,

because hey, at least it's a free meal, right. I
don't know which is worse, being viewed as a boogie
snob or being encouraged to just go out with anyone
for anything. I know I wasn't supposed to eavesdrop, but
it's hard to bite my tongue on this one. Should
I say something or should I.

Let it go? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (00:41):
Yeah, you should definitely say something, because see what we've
got to stop and keep presenting to our young girls
is it's not bougie of being a snob. It's called standards,
and it's okay to have some See what they're what
they do now? Is they they got it? Where young
girls can't even have standards. You've got standards. Then all

of a sudden, you bullgey, you snap me hero, This
is a free meal. I don't need no damn free food.
My daddy feeds me at the house. Ladies, you don't
need free food. If it didn't got that bad for you,
you need to get into a shelter or something. You
going out just cause it's some free food. I'm gonna
go out to a meal with somebody that ain't no good,

can find a way to get this free food and
then avoid him. Man, miss me, Man, have a talk
with your young sister, because she will get an idea
of what love is from you more so than what's
out there.

Mother's Day was this past Sunday, and I laid it
out for my wife, Tommy and Junior. She is an
amazing mother to our kids. I really put some thought
into her gift and she loved it. That being said,
now Father's Day is coming in June, and I'm started
to feel a bit played over the last couple of years.

That's because she'll ask me what I would like and
I tell her, but I still always end up getting
a gift. Card at Low's or home depot, which essentially
tells me, I love you, Now get to work on
the house. Is it wrong for me to have growing
feelings of bitterness about this? How should I handle this?

Speaker 2 (02:25):

Speaker 3 (02:25):
We all been about Father's Yeah, I'm bet I already
know it's coming. Nothing nothing, not a thing? Yeah, trifle yeah,
well yeah yeah, by your own Father's Day gift man,
celebrate yourself, that's what you do.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
Already know what I want for Father's Day? What do
you want? What is?

Speaker 3 (02:49):
I'm just gonna put it out there. I'll tell you
off the air, but I already know what I want. Now.

She's done some amazing stuff for me, but.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
My kids don't. And all I'm working. I just want
to send a message out to them. We got the
level of triflinginess over the years that my children have
exhibited the level of triflingness with no longer no longer

be accepted. What No, I'm not gonna accept it because
now I'm gonna take your birthday and treat you the
same way you treat me on my birthday and on
Father's Day as good as damn that as I didn't been,
you would think, come on, they would all get together

and buy something that's worth for damn.

But you know, I'll tell you what's trifling about Father's Day.

ain't but two columns. I didn't got the same damn
card before.

Oh yeah, but you're not trying to compare Father's Day
to Mother's Day, now, are you?

Quit having the date waits the way y'all doing us
on Father's date. Stop having father date
