Stee. This is from Corey on Steve Harvey FM. Corey says,
throughout my childhood, I was brought up on a rule
that one person cooks and the other person cleans up.
It made sense to me, and it always seemed like
a fair way to do it. Now I'm grown and
in my first live in relationship with a woman, and
I'm discovering that not everybody was brought up that way.

When she cooks, I clean up. When I cook, I
swear the dishes would just sit in the sink for
a month before anything would be done about them. I'm
thinking this is one of those little issues that can
turn into a big resentment down the road. How do
I address it without appearing combative or accusatory? Is this
a rule anywhere else or was adjusted in my house

as a kid.

That's just your house though, Yeah, ain't nobody doing all that?
And you need to find got to clean up. She's
a great person what you're tripping for now? If she
don't like cleaning up, that could be an issue. But
this rule you got, but you have it as an
unspoken rule, and you're not being clear about that because

obviously she ain't paying no attention to it. See she cooking,
you've been cleaning up, so she she didn't equate the
two together.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
That's the girl. I mean people do people have that when.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
I growing up at least care what come to do?
We don't doubt that we aren't doing that. Mind, I'm not.
I'm not cleaning well. I don't give it there.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
If you're there spiraling a ham by hand, I'm not cleaning.
You have people, though, I don't give a damn how intown.
I don't care if you're that cleaning all the fish,
I'm not finishing.

Speaker 3 (01:49):
I'm not not cleaning. I'm not all upside refrigerator. I'm
not wiping them all. Talk about his kitchen seek you'll
tell you I'm not cleaning up now, I'm told you
that he don't clean and he won't bathe. I just

Well, but there's time for another one, Steve. This is
from Michelle on Facebook. Michelle says, my job puts out
free snacks in our bake breakroom every day for the employees.
Usually only about half of the snacks will be eaten
by the day's in, but this one coworker will go
in there at about five ish and fill his backpack

with everything that's still left. There's no written rule that
he's breaking, but it just seems wrong and it irritates me.
Should I say something to him or to management?

Speaker 3 (02:47):
No, it ain't your business.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
The company puts out free snacks, and y'all don't eat
them all day. He wait to the end of the day,
and everything y'all left he put in the backpack. If
he don't do that, you'll company gonna stop putting out
the amount.

Speaker 3 (03:04):
You see what I'm saying, he's created what's called job security?
Is that what it is? You didn't pay for the snacks.
Them ain't your snacks. They the company snacks.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
But why does she irritate?

Speaker 3 (03:17):
Why does that? That's what I'm saying, mine your.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
Damn business bothering.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
You ain't over on your desk taking your snacks. He
taking it from the break room that the company puts
out for everybody.

Speaker 3 (03:29):
To eat anything they want. He wait till the end
of the day.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
Everybody got what they want, and to go on in
here and load up my backpack. Now he got a
snack center catering table at his house. Yes, Now, when
people come over his house, guess what he got snacks?

Speaker 3 (03:50):
What you want his next barbecue? Look live man, you
got meat snacks.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
Hey, y'all gonna get some of that to the barbecue.
Get ready. I think it's brilliant guy. Leave that damn
man alone.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
Yeah, brilliant management. Come on, I might like her. That's
a lot. That is a lot. Now she's going to
tell it. Yeah, afternoon, Senators.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
About judicious system judges, all the miscounselors and all those
bishops junior speech in front of the Senate next year.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
And I'm trying to get him ready, but I just
don't know where we go.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
