Speaker 1 (00:02):
NBA All Star Lebron James was chosen.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
By his fellow US Olympians to serve as the male
flag bearer for the US and this Friday's opener for
the Paris Games, Lebron will make history as the first
men's basketball player to carry the US flag. So congratulations
to Lebron. We will be watching Lebron.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
Yeah, I'm ready for the Olympics.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
Man.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
I am ready for that too.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
Man. Speaking of it, do you guys feel there is
enough hype for the Olympics. The Olympics, you know, start
in just a couple of days. But according to a
new online poll, people don't feel excited about the Olympics
this year, and only nine percent of the adults that
were polled said they will be watching every day.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
So you know, I'm watching every day, but I'm you know,
I'm a sports guy, so I want to see all
them and then you know, y'all already know I love them.
Them synchronized swimmers, I can't wait for them.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
That is so funny to me. I love it too,
But it's funny.

Speaker 3 (00:58):
I just don't know how to hold brepped that long
and dance at the same time upside down y'all don't understand.
This is a guilt.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
It takes a lot too. They have to have their hair,
put certain things on their hair. All of that come
apart all of that, Yeah, special grease for their hair, grease, jill,
all of it.

Speaker 4 (01:18):
I think I think people are excited about the Olympics.
I just think maybe this week the breaking news I
think it's been overshadowed by politics this week because we
are so excited about the presidential candidate VP Kamala Harris,
and I think politics has been kind of overshadowing the Olympics.
I think when the opening ceremony starts, people are gonna

(01:40):
start getting into it and watching in normal sports, uh huh.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
Like come on track and field, baby, Shikari, go baby,
someball Biles. We're gonna watch the goat.

Speaker 4 (01:53):
Do her thing like you said, Lebron flag Beary, the
youth team USA men's and women's basketball.

Speaker 3 (01:59):
And then they got break, then they got breakdancing. He
had no idea.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
Cording doing all right, they can't. Moving on to Janet Jackson, Okay,
listen to this. She had a really shocking interview recently.
Janet is on the second leg of her Together Again
concert tour, and in an interview in Britain recently, she

(02:23):
had the strangest request. She asked the host to stop
asking her questions. Okay, you're doing an interview, but you
asked the host to stop asking you questions. Janet says, quote,
I don't mean to be rude, but I have to
be honest with you. Please stop asking me questions. I
have never thought that I give good interviews. I really

(02:44):
don't like speaking, so I'd rather stay quiet and listen
to other people talk.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
And that's always been me. So are we finished?

Speaker 3 (02:53):
You know Jennet? You know Jennetson And she sounded like
Michael when she talked.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
You know, no, she does.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
I don't want to. I don't want to. I don't
want to answer anything right now they do. I don't
like to.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
It sounds like Michael.

Speaker 4 (03:06):
That does not sound like Jenney.

Speaker 3 (03:08):
She sounds like Michael. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
I mean, is that kind of crazy? Her response in
an interview, Yes, come on.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
When we when we was doing radio when we were
living in New York, we interview Jennet. She came into
the studio to call it us that she came to
I was talking. She said, I like your boice so southern.
I like the way it sounds. And Steve looked at
me and said, you need to get your heads at
the studio.

Speaker 4 (03:36):
Right you're about to take off your clothes for Jenny.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
You feel some kind of way, didn't. Man, Okay, you're
on tour.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
How are you promoting your tour if you don't like
to talk?

Speaker 1 (03:54):
What is happening?

Speaker 3 (03:55):
I just want everybody to buy a ticket.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
Stop sounding like Michael. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
I don't know Channet, but I mean, that's the first
time I heard she didn't like to talk.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
Like this, shy.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
We know that I do like whips and chains until
that music start.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
Give me change, boy.

Speaker 3 (04:20):
She came out there at the Essence Festival with them
whips and chain. My mama, my mom was in the
audience with me. She said, baby, Mama gonna go to
the to the casino. This is my exit nine. Baby,
I don't mama gonna need to be.

Speaker 5 (04:32):
Here five four three one. She was talking, all right,
all right.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
Finally, you know that massive commuter computer outage that caused
chaos all across the world last weekend, You guys remember that.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
Of course, how could you not.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
Uh well, social media users have caused the Netflix movie
Leave the World Behind to go viral after pointing out
similarities in the movies plot to what we all experienced
over the weekend, and many are concerned that this will
one day, this will one day be our reality. You
guys saw the movie Leave the World Behind, right? Everybody

(05:12):
saw that, right.

Speaker 4 (05:13):
Would Julia Roberts, Yeah, I saw, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
So you know the in the movie there was no Internet,
remember that, there were no phones. There was just no
going back to normal. So do you think it was
just a movie or should we be concerned about longer lasting,
more serious outages in the future.

Speaker 4 (05:38):
I think we should be concerned because that movie, you know,
it was just the blackouts that occurred, the Internet being out.
It was serious and then you know, spoiler alert if
you haven't seen the movie. The bottom line was there
was some family or a family that was prepared for

(05:58):
the end a bunker.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
That's why I got twenty cases of water, twenty cases
of toilet paper. I have a lot of paper towels.
We have a lot of beans and rice. We have
a lot of summer sauces, a lot of cheese.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
We have we are prepared at my home. You need
a lot of toilet paper.

Speaker 4 (06:19):
That's all y'all gonna be here, beans.

Speaker 5 (06:24):
And.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
You can be backed up, but you'll be safe, all right.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
Coming up in twenty minutes after the Harris campaign raised
over eighty one dollars in the first day after Kamala
Harris received Biden's endorsement. We'll get into it right after this.
