Speaker 3 (00:27):
I was like, hey, man, like, I'm struggling with cursing
right now. I'm trying to stop, Like I'm trying to
just hold back because not only am I trying to
do it for myself, but also like I can't proclaim
that I love God and have like a wild mouth
like that just doesn't make sense to me. His hypocritical Sure,
So I've been trying with that, and he was like, man,
read James three. So I read James three last night
and I went over the devotion on the way to
(00:49):
work this morning. So it's like stuff like that, Like
people are like just like send me stuff and I
ask questions, and I like, I'm a youth in this
walk and I want to learn more receive nine and
two and man, let me come.
Speaker 4 (01:05):
Yeah, we just hey, bro, I love the Lord too.
I'm a Christian, you know what I'm saying. And they've
told you right, there's no im perfect no not one.
What what you got to remember, though, is don't let
outside external forces cripple your walk because they're clamoring for perfection. Now,
(01:26):
if you want to do better, I understand that, then
go ahead and go ahead and make your efforts do better.
I have been trying to quit cussing, been probably now
all probably about sixty years now.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
Yeah, I first started.
Speaker 4 (01:44):
I should probably stop around seven because I started at four,
I became fluent at six. I thought i'd stop at seven.
I've been struggling with it for sixty years. And and
to be honest, I had to say, but I'm not.
Speaker 2 (01:57):
I'm not. It's it's a flaw, but it I mean,
I like it.
Speaker 4 (02:05):
I'm just not going to allow it's sometimes you could
be a little bit too hard on yourself.
Speaker 2 (02:13):
Now, if you can stop, go ahead. I've tried.
Speaker 4 (02:16):
And the one time I tried, I had stopped for
about four days and I developed had severe headaches and
my teeth is hurting, and I was constipated to get
you on in. It was just so much, man, I
was I was having migrains. You have ever had a
headache and constipated? It is?
Speaker 2 (02:36):
I ain't nowhere to go.
Speaker 4 (02:39):
And my wife asked me one time, She says, Steve,
what is wrong with you?
Speaker 2 (02:44):
And then I said, yourself, the f don't know.
Speaker 4 (02:49):
As soon as I said that, the headache went away.
I went right to the bathroom. And so that's what
I knew, me to me stopping hustle with locking me
up and creating so much stuff.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
And so I've just dealt with it.
Speaker 4 (03:05):
But you know, young brother, just you know, hey, man,
have your walk with Christ and going about your business,
because I'm gonna tell you something else.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
If it ain't that, it's gonna be something else. And man,
don't you.
Speaker 4 (03:17):
Let these little half feathered Christians fool you. They can
walk that walk like they staying on that white line
all they want. Ain't nobody on that tight rope like that. Man,
It's people doing all kinds of stuff. So just hey, man,
don't beat yourself up too bad about it. If you
can improve, go ahead.
Speaker 2 (03:34):
And man, hold on.
Speaker 4 (03:36):

a good squad, So he can't come in here not cussing,

to that route, and you got to straighten him out.

face too much. I got to bag you out. You
want me to do body, you.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
He's saying he doesn't want to use profanity and he
wants to do better.
Speaker 4 (04:06):
I got in the NFL because Bible says do unto
others as you would have them do unto you.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
So I figure, if you come up under like you
want to treat it, treat others as you want to
be treated.
Speaker 4 (04:22):
So if you come up to me and you cuss
me out, I'm assuming that's how you won't be treated.
Speaker 2 (04:26):

the NFL.
