Speaker 1 (00:00):
Sitting across from me, Director of Utah Shooting Sports Council,
How are you today?
Speaker 2 (00:04):
But I am doing well. It's a little cold, it's
got to put on the heavy sweater today, but yeah,
I'm doing good. How about yourself?
Speaker 3 (00:13):
I'm fantastic.
Speaker 1 (00:14):
And I'm not going to complain about the cold yet
because it hasn't even gotten cold.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
Yeah, yeah, that's true.
Speaker 1 (00:19):
So anyway, I taught just coming back, just barely got
back into the studio from teaching concealed carry class the
Utah and through in the Arizona one at the same
time to seventeen men and women awesome in here in
beautiful Uinta County. So yeah, we had a good time
with them. A lot of interesting questions, most of them
(00:44):
when can we shoot them?
Speaker 4 (00:45):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (00:46):
Can we shoot them? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (00:47):
No, no, Actually, that is the question that everybody wants
to ask, but nobody has the guts to ask.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
It right right, And you know, it's.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
It's not that people are hoping or waiting for the
chance they get to use their gun. I think it's
more likely that they want to know what is They
want to know what that is?
Speaker 2 (01:08):
Yeah, what is that line? What? Where? And where can
I cross that line? And it's different every cross it.
Well they got to cross it.
Speaker 3 (01:17):
As yourself right up to it.
Speaker 1 (01:19):
So anyway, Yeah, so we've gotta, we've gotta, we've got
a got a really great show. I'm lately really looking
forward to the second segment today. Uh, but we're gonna
talk about do you ever use those shotgun around the
exotic type of shotgun rounds, Bill?
Speaker 3 (01:34):
You know the kind Some of them.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
Literally have like two big balls and a chain in them,
and I think they call it a bolo or b
I don't know what it is. We'll have a somebody
in New Jersey used a an exotic shotgun round and
got into some trouble. Of course, you don't have to
do much get in trouble with a gun in New Jersey. Hey,
the Davis County Range was that the the formerly known
(01:58):
as the Wassaide Shooters Range is apparently back up or
we'll be back up in operation. We'll talk a little
bit about that. That was a story out of the
I think it was the Herald anyway, Bill newsflash. Okay,
where there are more states with more swimming pools, have
(02:19):
more swimming pool drowndings.
Speaker 2 (02:22):
Oh would that be like Arizona, California.
Speaker 3 (02:26):
I can't, but yeah, that's that's news flash. We're going
to talk.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
That's the same kind of logic that a CNN article.
States with the most gun violence have one interesting trait.
Speaker 3 (02:38):
They have more guns.
Speaker 1 (02:40):
First off, I want to know how they found out
the number of guns because they aren't registered. And they
literally said Texas has more gun deaths, not per capita.
They just were capping on Texas because they had more
gun deaths. It's inning it's a huge state, Okay, and
(03:03):
apparently they had more deaths than say, Delaware, but they
didn't do it per capita. I don't know about if
we're going to go to that one, Dick's Sporting Goods.
Speaker 3 (03:12):
That's too easy.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
Uh oh, I likes the Dick's one. Yeah, that was
kind of fun. I want to talk.
Speaker 3 (03:21):
About that one. Yeah, we'll talk about that.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
Bring it.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
Dick's got it.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
I can't say it without getting kind of in troubles.
After they got in trouble, they got their hands slapped,
so to speak, and had to pay forty six thousand
dollars to New Jersey again New Jersey because of some
of New Jersey's stupid love.
Speaker 3 (03:40):
We'll talk about a little bit about that. Hey.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
HR ninety five thirty four National Constitutional Carry Act, you
knew it was coming. The hand ringing, bedwetters are bed
wedding and hand ringing as we speak, because Representative Massy
out of Kentucky fourth District.
Speaker 3 (03:59):
Has said admitted this bill.
Speaker 1 (04:00):
Now, this is a bill that technically gets is submitted
every year to every Congress.
Speaker 3 (04:08):
This one though this time might just.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
Pass and essentially I would short maybe not necessarily short
title it, but longer than short title called bringing them
kicking and screaming into compliance with the Second Amendment Bill.
Speaker 3 (04:25):
But it's HR ninety five thirty four.
Speaker 1 (04:27):
Which essentially, in a long way, in a short way
around brings national reciprocity or recognition to your concealed carry permit.
And one I do want to talk about before the
break is in Washington. Okay, So you know Washington State
has what they call universal background checks, which means all
(04:52):
those people that choose to go through the background check
that's apparently universal. And now, but before I get into that,
you had something that you want to talk about.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
Too, Well, yeah, we're going to cover it.
Speaker 3 (05:03):
Or did I already cover it? Maybe I already covered.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
Now we're going to cover in third segment, and I
don't want to take off talk about rhinos. We're going
to talk about don't letting your guard down. We had
a great win a couple of weeks ago. We had
a great win, and this might add a little complacency
to people. And I've had this brought up to me
the last couple of weeks. Hey, what is you know,
(05:28):
a lot of things Trump's promising to do, He's going
to do. What impact does that have on me and
my safety as a gun owner. We're going to talk
about a few things there so well, So.
Speaker 1 (05:41):
With the new elections, Yeah, with the new with the
elections just coming in, the new new people in have
you started a fire yet so as to hold their
feet to it?
Speaker 3 (05:52):
So to speak?
Speaker 2 (05:53):
Yeah, in a way. Well, I think the big thing
that I'm taking away from this is we're going to
really find out who is a Republican and who is
a Republican in name only, And I think even in
Utah we might have a couple of those, but we'll
save that for later.
Speaker 3 (06:11):
Yeah we might, Yeah, yeah, we might.
Speaker 1 (06:13):
All right, So I want to get this done really
quick here. Washington has what they call universal background checks.
There are no private transfers. If you want to do
a private transfer, you have to go to a gun
store for all out forty four to seventy three. Essentially,
give that hand that gun over to the gun store.
They put it in their record, then they take it
out of their record, and you pay the money for
the background check and so on and so forth. So
(06:35):
what happens when the computer that runs the background check
administered by the Washington State Patrol goes on the fritz.
It has been down since November first, and so that
takes the secure Automated Firearms E check, that what they
call the safe system down. You can't buy a gun
(06:57):
because the only way to buy a gun in the
entire state Washington is to go through that background check.
Speaker 3 (07:01):
But that check is down. This is interesting.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
So the Second Amendment Foundation has said they are suing
Washington over this because think about it, they didn't have
a contingency, they didn't have, you know, some other way
of doing this. So you get talking to the Washington
State Police, the folks that are over this, and here's
(07:24):
their quotes. He says, we have those rights, those rights
aren't boundless of the boundaries. That literally was his quote
the right to keep the bare arm. I don't know
what that means. It makes my head hurt. And then
he continues, he said, those rights are behaviors and criminal
histories that would keep you from receiving the privilege of
(07:45):
having that firearm. Okay, first off, that also hurts my
head to think about that statement. But he used the
word privilege of having that firearm. He should should shut
his warmouth right now. I'm sorry. That's interesting choice words there. Yeah,
well yeah, and then he says those checks are designed
(08:07):
to keep people safe, to make sure people who should
not have guns don't have them, really, to make sure.
So does that mean there are no illegal there are
no criminals transferring guns back and forth in the entire
state of Washington.
Speaker 2 (08:22):
Well, isn't that the same system anyways, use for law
enforcement as well when they do a background check on
law enforcement.
Speaker 1 (08:29):
No?
Speaker 3 (08:29):
Well, actually, that's interesting.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
The Department of Social Health and Services they also run
background checks. Their system was tied to the same thing
and it went down. But guess what, they got an
approval for a modification. They can proceed with preliminary checks
even though it's in state code that they have to
do it.
Speaker 3 (08:47):
Somehow, they can get.
Speaker 1 (08:48):
It done, but us gun owners, we don't have the
privilege of having that anyway. When we come back on
Gun Radio Utah More Talk, we're gonna actually have Glenn Parshall,
who is the who's a gun guru? Aren't our tactical uh?
And this is going to be a good one. This
is going to be a good one. So stay tuned.
We'll be right back.
Speaker 2 (09:07):
And if you got some time to kill after the
show here, run over to Mountain America Credit Union Expost
Center and go check out the gun show over there.
You know, this is a great way to show the community,
to show the industry, to show the bed Weathers, how
together we are as a gun community, a law abiding
gun owners and helping each other out. I got some
(09:30):
good things over there. Going on to stop buy and
check them out. You will not see the Utah Shooting
Sports Council over there. Unfortunately, what they did not let
us over let us there. We're gonna have some meetings
and figure out what is their problem.
Speaker 3 (09:48):
You mean the facility.
Speaker 2 (09:49):
The facility. Yeah, so there's gonna be news about that.
Speaker 1 (09:54):
You know, if we find out, if we find out
that this is a tantrum from Salt Lake County.
Speaker 3 (10:02):
Yet will roll, heads will roll.
Speaker 2 (10:04):
Heads will roll. But with that set aside, we're still around,
will be around. You can always go to Utah Shooing
Sports Council dot org. Sign up, get information, get some
cool swag, and we'll take care of you on the
Utah Shooing Sports Council website Utah Shoensports Council dot org. Hey,
without delaying this anymore, we invite to Glenn Parcel is
(10:27):
on with this. Glenn is with R and R Tactical. Glenn,
how the heck are you? It's been a while.
Speaker 4 (10:33):
Oh, we're doing fantastic. How are you doing these days?
Speaker 2 (10:36):
Doing great? Doing great? I'm understanding you guys got some
great things going on over at R and our Tactical.
You've got a little bit of news, uh, in regards
to your grand opening and share with.
Speaker 4 (10:46):
Us, well, our building is going along great. We do.
Speaker 5 (10:51):
We unfortunately don't have an exact date that it is
going to be in December when we're going to be opening.
Speaker 4 (10:55):
Eating the lines up.
Speaker 5 (10:57):
Got a few construction delays and that sort of a
thing along fantastically. If you drive along the crossroads over there,
you'll see it's the tallest building in the area, and
it's every time I drive by, it's a major increase
in the amount of work that's been done on it.
So I was just getting really excited the whole crew.
Speaker 1 (11:16):
Hey, hey, Glenn, just a quick thing, because we didn't
go through this. If you're on a speakerphone, go off
the speakerphone. If you are just getting some modulation here.
Speaker 4 (11:25):
So I'm on the phone.
Speaker 1 (11:27):
Oh okay, never mind, never mind. Then, So Glenn, we
have you on because you're the You're the gun guru.
When I literally have a question, which is often on
on a gun, on some old gun, on some just
all sorts of stuff, I give you a call and
you answer the phone and you answer my questions, and
uh so you're the you're the gun guru, and you're
(11:49):
with our n R tacticle.
Speaker 3 (11:50):
Now tell us about when is that? When is that
gonna happen?
Speaker 1 (11:53):
I mean, you built the you're building the building from
the ground up, and is the building pretty much what
you done?
Speaker 3 (12:00):
Now?
Speaker 4 (12:01):
Well, you have a shell of it's quite done that.
Speaker 5 (12:03):
They've been making great progress and I guess they're going
to be paving. If they didn't pave on Thursday or Friday,
they're gonna be paving this next week the parking lot.
We're ready to start going under the inside and putting.
Speaker 4 (12:13):
Up the walls, and we'll have you. So it's it's
coming along fantastically.
Speaker 1 (12:17):
Indoor shooting range. It's got full featured stuff. You're gonna
have class as everything. A rough idea of when grand
opening might be rough.
Speaker 5 (12:26):
We're looking sometime between the fifth and twentieth of December
just yet. We may have a grand opening after that,
but we'll have a soft opening sometime in December.
Speaker 3 (12:36):
All right, fantastic. Where's it? Where's it located?
Speaker 5 (12:39):
You' see the three hundred block of East Crossroads. The
post office hasn't given us the exact number yet. We're
waiting for them to decide it. But basically it's it's
just to the east of Redwood Road. It starts over
with Springs just before it goes across to the what
you guys see?
Speaker 2 (12:52):
You love it?
Speaker 3 (12:54):
All right? Fantastic?
Speaker 1 (12:55):
Now, Glenn, you haven't always I mean, you haven't always
lived in Utah. You spent quite a bit of time
doing the same kind of stuff. I think in Las Vegas,
I mean, in in like the heart of Las Vegas.
Speaker 3 (13:07):
Isn't that right?
Speaker 1 (13:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (13:08):
Matter of fact, I'm one of the very very few
people that have ever had a gun business license in
the city of Las Vegas.
Speaker 4 (13:14):
Is very very very hard to get one.
Speaker 1 (13:17):
Well, of all the people that would have one, you
would have one, and you were kind of there in
the uh.
Speaker 2 (13:23):
And I think we may have run into a technical
difficulty there, Denny. Do we lose Clark there on the
on the line? Okay, okay, we will work to get
those guys back online here momentarily here, but let's go
to commercial break here, Denny, and we'll work on bring
in Clark back online there. If you don't mind, you're
(13:45):
listening to Gun Radio Utah.
Speaker 1 (13:47):
Glenn, you've you've had some dealings with You've had some dealing.
In fact, I have a special I have a special
clip from from some of Glenn's experiences here.
Speaker 3 (13:57):
Let me find this clip here. Hang on, are these
YouTube clips come out?
Speaker 2 (14:03):
And take again?
Speaker 3 (14:04):
Jody yellopelly? All right?
Speaker 1 (14:09):
Anyway, so thanks for talking, hey, Glenn. Uh, you've had
some dealings with some some some mobsters so to speak.
Did they have to did they get their guns fixed?
Or what would they? Would they come into your shop there?
In Vegas back in the old days.
Speaker 4 (14:25):
Well, some of them did.
Speaker 5 (14:27):
And uh, we also had at one point where we'd
hired the mob gunsmith is a very very very good gunsmith,
fully licensed, fully accredited, and but he was the mob
gunsmith and we had him. We put him to work
and working on all of our guns too. So you's
got a web paying at hand and being in Las Vegas.
Speaker 1 (14:45):
Okay, So I find that amazing. And so did you
ever see any of these mob guns or I mean,
were they were they all mobbed up?
Speaker 3 (14:53):
Or I mean could you tell?
Speaker 4 (14:55):
Well, you really couldn't tell. Most people just acted like
normal people.
Speaker 5 (15:00):
Oh, the Lefty Rosenshal's bodyguard, it was just a normal guy,
Don Rickles in the movie Casino. But he was a
young guy and very very nice guy. I knew some
of the other family members. I've got one of Tony
Spilantro's pistols that came from.
Speaker 4 (15:19):
His gunsmith and it was just barbed being in Las
Vegas at the time.
Speaker 1 (15:23):
Is that the one where he left you the gun
but he took the canoli?
Speaker 4 (15:28):
No?
Speaker 1 (15:30):
Hey, Glenn, So I happen to be looking on your
on on one of your social media sites and I
saw a gun that you were working on that literally
looked like someone had taken a blow torch to the
to this what looked like it used to be a
submachine gun and blow torched it, melted, you know, melted
(15:52):
it right in half. And you're actually working on that
gun to make it functional again.
Speaker 4 (15:59):
Yeah, they horrible things. They taken cut and melt and chop.
Speaker 3 (16:02):
And why do they do that? Why why would someone
do that to a gun?
Speaker 5 (16:07):
Well, because of our stupid laws about the important things.
We can get in some of the parts in the air,
and we have now that are making some of the
other parts, and we spend a lot of time and
a lot of money getting in put back.
Speaker 4 (16:20):
Together and rolding things back together. We're machining pieces as
just so.
Speaker 5 (16:25):
We can get them back in again and get them
up and running. Companies that have the machine gun rentals
do it because you don't want to take a thirty
forty fifty transferable and have a shot to this.
Speaker 4 (16:36):
So we were able to bild these out of we
have all the licenses and everything to be able to
do that, and we build back up again.
Speaker 1 (16:44):
Okay, so you're building these uh, you're you're building these
guns back from essentially they've been destroyed.
Speaker 3 (16:51):
They weren't even a gun anymore.
Speaker 1 (16:53):
And can you give me, can you give me one
or two of them that you've that you've done, that
you're going to have on the range.
Speaker 5 (16:59):
Well, we're I've did this week. I've been working at
a couple of Sten guns. I'm working on empty forty.
Speaker 4 (17:04):
I've got several things.
Speaker 5 (17:05):
I just got a sweetish k parts kin that's have
been that I wanted for a long long time.
Speaker 4 (17:09):
I haven't started working on that yet. Up and coming,
we're gonna have quart a few things, so a couple
of CZ machine guns.
Speaker 5 (17:16):
We've got some Polish guns in there right now that
we've already got done built up a noozy you know,
with new made American receiver. But some of the parts
that come in from overseas. We have to do a
lot of things. I spend a lot of time looking
for the various bits and parts and pieces that go into.
Speaker 4 (17:33):
It just back up and running.
Speaker 5 (17:36):
We had a company down in Vegas where we were
actually the first machine gun rental company in Vegas. We
had when we sold out, we had one hundred and
some odd machine guns. We sold to another company that
uses them now but back then they would just cut
them in half, and now they take the torches to
them and do horrible things to them, so it's gotten
a lot harder to do.
Speaker 2 (17:56):
Well.
Speaker 1 (17:56):
Yeah, I mean putting them back together is not just
like welding them back, because you've literally lost some of
the steel in there, and they're not a nice clean cut.
Speaker 3 (18:05):
So that's that's very interesting.
Speaker 1 (18:07):
And I'm glad to hear that you're you're bringing back
the Sturm gabars and and that back into that we
can actually shoot and so people can actually come into
R in our tactical when you're opening in uh you know,
say early to mid December, and shoot these guns full
auto on your range.
Speaker 4 (18:25):
Absolutely. Now, I give everybody the experience to try these
things out.
Speaker 1 (18:30):
Yeah, give us the details on R and R Tactical
one more time, and especially for the new location.
Speaker 5 (18:36):
The locations in the three hundred block of East Cross
it's the downtown area of Search Overus Springs, just between
Redwood Roads, and we're the least we don't have exact
number yet. We're waiting for the post office to sign
the address to it. But it'll be this three hundred blocks.
It'll be three hundred and something. Right now, we're still
sixty seven North Guardian Drive, which is just literally around
(18:57):
the corner from where the new place is going to be,
and we're pushing sales right now.
Speaker 4 (19:02):
We're trying you can call it the everything, so.
Speaker 5 (19:06):
We're trying to sell everything off, so start the store
with merchandise that we order in.
Speaker 3 (19:10):
So fantastic.
Speaker 1 (19:11):
Well, we'll have you on between between now and then
and talking about the grand opening. Uh, Glenn Parshell, thank
you so much for being on Gun Radio Utah. When
we come back, we've got lots more to cover, so
stay tuned.
Speaker 3 (19:24):
Everything was fine on my.
Speaker 2 (19:25):
End, but yeah, that was kind of built.
Speaker 3 (19:28):
Bill.
Speaker 1 (19:29):
If you're pushing buttons right now, stop pushing all the
buttons that's not.
Speaker 2 (19:33):
Supposed to push. Yeah, yeah, don't push those stopping it's
his choice.
Speaker 3 (19:39):
Stomp it.
Speaker 2 (19:40):
So interesting information, Glenn Gabe. I you know, I am
I'm always fasted. I am fascinated by Glenn because he had,
like you said, he's got a wealth of knowledge, but
I mean he I mean he knows he's been there. Yeah,
he's been there, you know, combat veteran, and he's also
(20:02):
I mean he's worked on and tinkered on these guns.
And these are guns that you and I just don't
see on an every day, you know, or even once,
maybe even once in a lifetime. And he pulls these
things out and we get a fire him and shoot him,
and they are a riot. They are so much fun.
Speaker 3 (20:19):
Oh yeah, so yeah.
Speaker 1 (20:21):
And you know what, every once in a while, I'll
think somebody will ask me a question, I'll say, well,
you know what, I doubt it, but I'm gonna call
this guy. I don't think he's going to know the
answer to this one, and he always does. He literally
I don't know if it's an eight millimeter baby namboo
or you know something, whatever it's, it's always there. Hey, Okay, Bill,
(20:41):
before we go into the other stuff, I really want
to talk about what you talked about. Rhinos, Yes, and rhinos.
For those of you that have heard it before. Is
republican in name only. But it's almost getting to the point, Bill,
that republican doesn't mean republican anymore. We always thought of
it as we always I always thought republican was also conservative.
Speaker 3 (21:06):
Now you have to be.
Speaker 1 (21:08):
If you're if you're what we used to call Republicans,
now we call them conservatives and other anyway, Right, So
what are your.
Speaker 3 (21:15):
Thoughts on on on the.
Speaker 1 (21:17):
New administration, the new Congress that's coming in and something
to be aware of.
Speaker 2 (21:22):
Well, that's that you just hit it on the head.
This is the thing that caught my attention when Trump
started these appointments for his cabinet. He's starting to throw
out names, he's trying to build things going. What I
really like about what President Trump, president elect Trump is
doing right now is he's getting ready. So the I mean,
(21:42):
the ball will be rolling when they're sworn in. Things
are going to be happening on a very very fast pace.
And that's really showing the colors not only within its
own party, but you know, we'd expect it from the left,
but we're now startying starting to see some of these
apprehensions within our own party and it has me a
(22:06):
little bit concerned. Okay, where does that fit in for
law abiding gun owners? Now? One of the big things
that I read just the other day, This came out
like three days ago. I think it was Don Junior
that says, hey, Dad is going forward. He's moving forward
with the Second Amendment. He's moving forward for the rep
(22:34):
National reciprocity. Yeah, within gun rights and I'm gun ownership
across state lines, which to me is a huge thing.
I mean, we've got Gun owners of America, the National
Rifle Association, I mean, we're all getting behind all this.
But this is a big step. And what concerns me
(22:55):
the most. I think it is well, but think about it.
Speaker 1 (22:59):
Should I agree when you look at the Second Amendment,
when you look at the Heller decision, you look at
the McDonald decision, you look at the Brewin decision, it
really we shouldn't have to tell states like California and
New Jersey and Maryland and Hawaii to stop doing this.
Speaker 3 (23:16):
Read the room, folks.
Speaker 1 (23:18):
This is the way the United States Supreme Court has
already dictated. But so we now have to write new
bills like this HR ninety five, thirty four to five
by Representative Massey out of Kentucky, essentially saying, you know what,
you guys have to recognize, you know, concealed Gary permits
or I think it should be the next step to
(23:39):
get rid of concealed Gary permits and just you know, yeah,
otherwise constitutional cary, because like it or not, that is
what the Heller McDonald and especially the Brewing decision really said.
Speaker 2 (23:54):
Yeah, So in addition to that, what I've been telling
people if there's ever a time not to let your
guard down is right now because as these changes and
these appointments happen. Don't be complacent now because you think
you've just had this huge I mean, don't get me wrong,
this is a huge victory, a huge victory. But let's
(24:17):
not get complacent. We're going to let our guards down.
Speaker 1 (24:20):
Are you saying that our well, especially like were Utah.
So let's talk about Utah. Are Utah representatives of which
we have six of them for in the House too,
in the Senate? Uh, that they should represent nice red Utah?
Speaker 2 (24:34):
Yeah, but I think that well, between you and I
and our audience, I'm concerned about maybe one or two
of those.
Speaker 1 (24:44):
There might be some, okay, especially when it comes to
an extremely important, very show your conservative creds. Vote right,
and I'll tell you why it is so important for
the Utah representatives to vote to back got President Trump
in this administration, because I'll tell you what if if
(25:05):
they if the hand ringing bedwetters let alone the rhino
Republicans or the squishy Republicans in other states, maybe purple states,
if they see a Utah representative vote the other way,
vote against Donald Trump. That will give them more cover
than any other representative. Because if a red Republican from
(25:29):
Utah can vote the other way on Trump, that'll give
them cover in a state that's not so red.
Speaker 3 (25:36):
If Utah can get away with it, then well certainly
I can do you know.
Speaker 1 (25:40):
So it is important to, like you said, hold their
feet to the fire and and make sure I got
to tell you I couldn't be happier though. And I'm
not going to have a problem with new representative for
Uinta County Representative Kennedy, who's made it to took over
(26:01):
Curtis's spot and into he's representing you know, ghost diy
manor here. And so in fact, I congratulated him and
said that I'd be calling on him.
Speaker 3 (26:13):
So but we don't.
Speaker 1 (26:14):
That's one guy I really think we don't have to
worry about. Kennedy has really been great as he.
Speaker 2 (26:21):
Two, Kennedy's now back in Washington.
Speaker 1 (26:24):
Yeah, you know what, it's a whole new era of
good Kennedy's now all of a sudden.
Speaker 2 (26:30):
Good Kennedy's and and we're seeing former Democrats on now
being appointed to uh, you know some pretty strong positions
there in Washington. I couldn't be happier. I mean, I
couldn't be more excited for the country. I think this
is going to be great. I watched a few things
right during the election. I don't know if you notice.
(26:52):
Well we all heard about the stock markets and that,
but also I mean just the financial the big coins
of the world. Cryptocurrency took a big jump. I mean,
these are things that are telling These are things that
the people are saying to the results of their elections.
I mean, this is good.
Speaker 1 (27:10):
This is they feel good about investing again because they
don't think that they're going to be living on food
stamps or you know, their preparedness stuff in the basement.
With this new administration, they're willing to say, you know what,
I'm gonna go ahead and invest some money because I
don't think, you know, times are going to be that rough.
Speaker 3 (27:31):
Now.
Speaker 2 (27:31):
Now, what were we saying right before the election? In fact,
even earlier this year, get out stockpile on Ammo, get
you know, things are gonna happen, things are changing. I
was actually talking to Brent connect over there a flash
my brass and I said, hey, how's the show going?
He goes, it's going really good. I go, that's awesome.
He goes, but he goes, it's kind of changed today,
and I go, really, what's that? He goes. Usually people
(27:54):
are in here buying cases of Ammo. Now they're just
buying boxes of Ammo because they're to go out and shoot,
price is a good price, and they're gonna come back
and they'll buy another box or two. They're not buying
in bulk today, which is I thought, that's an interesting message.
Speaker 1 (28:09):
Interesting Now it may be beyond however, because a lot
of domestic reasons may be a reason that we could
get shortages, but it could be even beyond our control,
which I really think it is, especially in Eastern Europe,
and that I still I am holding out. You need to
get your AMMO out. In fact, Flash my brass, you know,
(28:31):
get a hold of Flash my breast. I think it's
flashmbras dot com and fantastic deals on bulk or on
and they even have kind of weird am O too
or AMO that you normally see on the shelf.
Speaker 2 (28:43):
But yeah, I mean, right now is a good time
if you want to bulk up. I mean I saw
prices on firearms over there I'm like, going, holy Cow.
Those are some really really good prices on pistols Smith
and West and MMPs as low as you know, four
hundred bucks. I mean, it's like holy Cow on body and.
Speaker 1 (29:00):
Their piece have always been really kind of bargain price.
I don't know, so hey, speaking of where ammo? Yeah,
remember in the movie John Wick, we watch we watch
all the John Wicks down in the movie in the
theater room because that the sound system will rock your
socks off with this thing. And I remember watching John
(29:21):
Wick and they didn't I don't think they necessarily said,
but he puts some interesting rounds in his twelve gage
shotgun and it essentially lit people on fire from a
from a bit of a distance, and essentially it was
dragon's breath rounds, which what do they call him exothermic
pyrophoric metal mesh. I think it's basically magnesium in there
(29:46):
and which burns extremely bright and extremely hot, and I
don't know that it has any penetration whatsoever. But if
you watch John Wick four you could see that. Well,
this guy, his name was Richard shash Hattie, he's thirty
seven years old, decided he wanted to go shoot this
dragon's breath round on a hot day in New Jersey. Well,
(30:08):
apparently it's been unseasonably warm in New Jersey, and he
went behind the berm at the shooting range and proceeded
to shoot into the dry grass and later started three
hundred and fifty acres on fire by shooting this dragon's
breath and truth he got arrested. He actually turned himself
in and he was arrested. But apparently you cannot even
(30:32):
you can't manufacture, you can't buy, sell, or use Dragon's
breath ammo in the state of New Jersey, which you
can't do anything really ro New Jersey.
Speaker 2 (30:42):
I mean, actually I was pulling that up just to
kind of get some more information on this because we've
seen it at the gun shows here with some others.
But there's actually a lot of states it doesn't allow.
Outside of I mean, of course California, Florida, you cannot
use this in Florida, Well why are you? Of course, Illinois,
that's just disappointing in ILLINOI.
Speaker 3 (31:03):
You know what those are, their rules, not.
Speaker 2 (31:04):
Mine, not mine yet exactly, but yeah.
Speaker 3 (31:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (31:10):
In this article, it says the type of ammunition gained
popularity after being featured in the film john Wick four
and it's not made for self defense or hunting purposes,
but for entertainment purposes and producing visual effect in controlled setting.
Apparently that is a quote from the manufacturer kir Ammo. So,
speaking of shooting ranges, Davis County Range also, I'm going
(31:32):
to always call it the Wassat Range. It's in Kysville,
sixteen forty nine East six fifty North in Kaysville. It's
owned by the county and operated by the county sheriffs.
Now they have taken it back over. It is open
for business now. And so I'm reading an article about this,
and apparently they only interviewed the Davis County Sheriff's office.
(31:56):
They didn't get Wassat shooters, which I don't know if
that's even an entity anymore, but you could tell that
they they only got kind of one side on this one.
But long story short, it's it's primarily it's it's supposed
to be primarily arranged for law enforcement to use. But
then they've opened it up to the public. Thank goodness.
I think there should be a law that any range
(32:17):
built with taxpayer funds should be opened to the public.
But so they're gonna say it's going to be open. Uh,
they're going to open bays up for groups to use
and then for the public on Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday.
I don't know what you do, you know, Monday through Thursday.
But they're gonna They're saying they're gonna have cameras to
(32:44):
make sure that all of them are the only ones
using it. That was their quote, to make sure that
just the groups or whatever's using it. They're gonna have
cameras on the range. How do you feel about that cameras?
I mean they're on the range. I've seen cameras on
the ranges before. I mean there's some indoor range range ranges.
Speaker 2 (33:05):
But on an outdoor range just okay, So what are
they going to do with that information?
Speaker 3 (33:11):
Well, that's a good question. What are they going to
do with it?
Speaker 2 (33:13):
And how where is it stored? What is who has
access to that information? You know, there's all good questions. Yeah,
So I kind of don't get why they would have
to do that, and I think that's an additional expense
of the county could probably spend their money wisely else
you know, elsewhere.
Speaker 1 (33:33):
Well, because they're going to have somebody there's obviously going
to be a Davis County Sheriff's Department range officer on
the site all the time.
Speaker 3 (33:43):
So I don't know.
Speaker 1 (33:44):
I just saw that and I saw cameras, and I'm like, nah,
I don't know if that's all great idea because I.
Speaker 2 (33:50):
Watch the guys shooting those dragons breath things, you know,
or yeah, yeah, or those you know, remember remember the
fifty cows that they were putting in the slugs in
those shotgun shows.
Speaker 1 (34:02):
The what the the fifty putting fifty fifty b mg
in a twelve peach exactly? Okay, folks, don't do that.
Yes it fits one, Yes it fits two.
Speaker 3 (34:12):
Don't do that.
Speaker 2 (34:12):
Don't do it. Yeah, yeah, I would recommend the dragon's breath.
You know, that stuff comes at it like five thousand degrees. Yeah,
can you imagine what doing in the inside. I mean,
it's a.
Speaker 1 (34:25):
Very short time a great shotgun. Don't do it in
your favorite shotgun shotgun, But I am going to do
it in my in my aow great, And I think
I may, I think out here at the Ghost di
manor we may use it for some weed control.
Speaker 2 (34:42):
I think it'd be great for weed control. Clear out
your canals, up there. I think it's a great idea.
I even lighten your barbecue. Why not.
Speaker 1 (34:51):
I've got a great big I have almost at the
new at the property up at Kenga's property, Ghost dime
manor we have made ESSENTI A A.
Speaker 3 (35:03):
I don't know. I think we could probably do what
do you call them?
Speaker 1 (35:07):
Like the vault, like the Swedish Viking funerals, and that
we have made a fire pit.
Speaker 3 (35:12):
That is about that big.
Speaker 2 (35:13):
Okay, Okay, held it, Clark. There's some kids listening to this.
Kids don't do what Clark is saying right now. That's
what dads. Ye rules, dad. So anyway, what you got.
Speaker 1 (35:29):
We're gonna say, I've got uh, here's one. Okay, you
want to talk about Dick Sporting Goods, right.
Speaker 2 (35:36):
Yeah, yeah, this is yeah, this is yeah. We got
a couple of minutes. This is perfect.
Speaker 1 (35:40):
They got in trouble because they were selling through a
under the Field and Stream trade name. They were selling
large capacity magazines, which is eleven rounds and more online
to buyers out of the state of New Jersey. They
say six thousand dollars The hell you say thousand dollars
(36:02):
to the state of magazines at old more than ten rounds.
Speaker 2 (36:08):
That's awesome. Good on the good on those bottomy neutures.
Speaker 1 (36:12):
The gunsmith at Sportsman's Warehouse get your guns fixed and
