(00:00):
Why, Hello friend, Happy Friday. Welcome to the Thoughts Shower. My
name is intern John. I amstarting today not on a great foot.
Got to the station. I havea feeling in the car. I'm like,
I'm pretty sure I didn't pack mylaptop, which is not great.
So my work laptop has everything onit and I get to work, sure

(00:22):
shooting have the case, no laptop. So today's show, it's gonna wing
it. Today's podcast, it's gonnawing it as well. See how things
go, although it's basically what wedo anyway, you know what I mean.
Happy Friday, man, I'm excitedfor this weekend. I am going
to the Woods, so after theshow, gonna head out very excited for

(00:47):
it. The Woods has always beenlike my place to kind of decompressed,
to get away, to reset myself, whatever you want to call it.
It's always been that for me.I was supposed to go earlier this year,
and the reason I didn't go isthere was a chance we were gonna

(01:08):
be able to do something pretty coolwith a local sports team like that Saturday.
Unfortunately it fell through, but Icanceled just in case, and then
it turned out to be a wasteof canceling. I'm excited for this particular
place because I've been going to thewoods for golly seven years. Maybe started
going with the hockey coaches because ourhead coach's wife. It's gonna a long

(01:33):
convlude story, but she was ateacher at a school that was basically year
round, and I guess the teacherswould go to this town for like a
break kind of, and so that'swhy we went as coaches. I've been
going ever since, and I tryto do that for each run a comedy
shows, I go to the sameplace and then not repeat it the next
year. I don't know why.I don't know if it's paranoia whatever.

(01:59):
However, this time, the placeI'm going to I actually stayed at and
this is where I basically put togetherthe last full tour, and because of
scheduling and that kind of stuff,I went by myself last time. Oh,
guy, sneeze is coming on me. I was high pitched, But
I went by myself last time lastyear, and it was just very peaceful.

(02:23):
It's kind of like if I couldbuy the ideal cabin in the woods,
this would probably be it. It'scool because there's like a pond that
has quite fishing. It has thehot tub, has the fire pit.
I'm very excited, just kind oflike, I don't know, just the
recenter myself. I think that's theone thing I've learned about me is that

(02:46):
I needed to get away. Andit's one thing to get away and stay
like in Miami. It's quite anotherthing to stay away and to be just
like one with nature, which Ilike doing because in the stars are out
and that's the vibe. It's goodto you because, like may I saw
the worst TikTok ever recently. Itwas that your dog only has like twelve

(03:12):
summers with you. I was like, show, he said, fifteen.
Oh, so I'm excited for thedogs to be out there too. It's
me a lot of fun. It'sme a lot of fun. Tickets for
the comedy shows, we got thelow ticket alert for Arlington, if you're
thinking about going Arlington Draft House Julytwentieth, low ticket alert. We are
not adding any other venues, soI will say that I'm just again keeping

(03:38):
this a short one. July twentieth, Arlington Draft House. August seventeenth,
rams Head Live in Baltimore, Internsoncomedydot com. I cannot wait to see
you there. I want to getto this real quick too for your Friday.
Things that can make a man seemcreepy. Now, I'm gonna go

(03:59):
through these, and I think thinka lot of these have asterisk to them,
like, for instance, he staresexcessively. I do think that if
you are a hot person, youcan get away with almost anything. And
now me, I don't consider myselfa hot person. I think I do
okay for myself, but like BradPitt, could stare at me and I

(04:20):
feel some type of way, youknow what I mean. They say a
brief glance is normal, but prolongedstaring can feel uncomfortable. I think that
is fair. Again, unless youare extremely attractive. He makes inappropriate jokes
or comments. They say, humoris great, but there's a line between
funny and offensive. I agree withthis. Speaking of like comedy, I

(04:43):
do think that I've never tried withthe jokes to be offensive for the sake
of being offensive. I think that'sstupid. Or swearing for the sake of
swearing, I think that's stupid.I do think, however, the occasional
swear word within a comedy set canadd some some zest to a joke.
However, I think doing it forthe sake of doing it again is just

(05:05):
dumb if he doesn't respect personal space. Yeah, they say everyone has a
personal bubble. It's important to respectthat. If a man stands too close,
touches that permission, or invades apersonal space anyway, it can feel
violating. Yes, I agree withthat. That's why I always keep my
hands to myself. That's what Ido. I just that's how I am.

(05:29):
You know, I miss signs allthe time. We talked about it
earlier this week. I always misssigns. So don't worry about that.
If he sends unsolicited pictures of certainthings, yeah, I have said this
and I maintain this. To themen who send unsolicited pictures of your hot
dog, why let's just say yousend an unsolicited hot dog picture. And

(05:51):
she was like, oh yeah,I want that. That's probably not somebody
who's buns you want to stick ahot dog in, do you know what
I mean. That's the same thingI always saw with cat calling somebody,
Like driving on the side of theroad. If you cat called somebody and
they were like, hell, yeah, I come, come get this hot
dog bun, that's probably not somebodyyou want to hook up with. I'm

(06:14):
just gonna throw it out there.I don't think that's what you want.
If he did try us to isolateyou from your friends and family, Oh
yeah, dude, I mean, but that's that can go for so many
things. The right guy, andwe talk about this in the show,
too, wants you to hang outwith your friends and family for the same

(06:34):
reason that you want your man's tohang out his friends and family. Every
now and then, you need abreak, you know what I mean.
I saw I don't know where Isaw TikTok. Maybe this woman was saying
she loves the fact that her orher boyfriend golfs because that means she has
her weekends to herself, which Iget. For me, I would beg

(06:56):
girlfriends to hang out with their friends, beg them, like, please hang
out with your friends, because Ithink it's important to to have that time
to kind of recalibrate. For onething, I think it's important for like
your personal calibrate. It's important tobe the friend group to recalibrate. It's
important. Yeah, I think too. Like I said before, it gives
you a break, you know whatI mean. I couldn't imagine being around

(07:18):
the same person. If I wasin jail, First of all, I
wouldn't survive, let's be honest withthat. But having a cellmate for life,
that would be the worst thing ever, Like every single day of y'all's
sentence being around each other, thatwould be a disaster. He doesn't pick
up on social cues. Yeah,I mean, that's most guys, you
know what I mean. I thinkthat's probably fair. If he has a

(07:40):
history of questionable behavior, I thinkthat's fair. He tries to manipulate or
control your emotions. They say, healthy relationships are built on trust and mutual
respect. If a man tries tomanipulate your emotions through guilt trips, gaslighting,
and other tactics, it's a majorred flag, no doubt, no
doubt. If he has he questioningyour own reality, no doubt. He

(08:00):
laughs inappropriate times for no apparent reason. Yeah, dude, I mean what
I see the joker. If you'rejust sitting down enjoying yourself and Homie starts
laughing on nowhere, Yeah, dude, that's creepy. Like that's like now
I'm thinking of Heath Ledger as ajoker. Of my favorite scenes in that

(08:22):
movie is when he so Heath LedgerJoker in the Dark Knight. He's put
in jail and Gordon just gets thenod as Commissioner and everybody's clapping. The
scene is you can see Gordon, you know, getting commissioner, and then
everybody's clapping and the clapping stops againstHeath Ledger starts clapping like in the Joker
gear, and I guess that wasnot planned. He has did it on

(08:45):
his own and everybody was so takenback they kept it in. I'm like,
oh, yes, love that stuff, but kind of the same vibe
right where like it just rubs youthe wrong way, just ever so slightly.
I think that's good for the fellowus to know, for the ladies
as well. Listen, I'm notgonna lie to you. I'm just excited
for this weekend. First thing I'mgonna do, go dairy Queen, get

(09:07):
chocolate dip cone ooh or butterscotch orboth. I'm an adult man, do
what I want. We'd love tosee at the show A see you again,
Arlington. We're getting close. It'sa low ticket alert. That's the
July twentieth, and then we goto Baltimore August seventeenth, Internsoncomedy dot com.
I'll see there.
