And a happy Monday. Friends. Welcome to the Thought Shower.
Intern John is my name. It was a weekend, indeed,
hopefully you had a good one, had a chance to relax,
had a chance to take care of some business. If
you have some business take care of or wherever you
need to get done, may you have gotten that done.
My weekend was simple Friday, when try some new drinks,

(00:24):
new cocktails out because the restaurant I'm involved in opening
in like two weeks, so it's almost game time. You
have known about this since like last December ish, and
now we're almost here. I'm very excited. Hopefully you get
a chance to come out and see it. It's give
me a good chance to lounge relax in the Clanton area.

(00:45):
So that was on Friday. Saturday, woke up early for
some reason again for me, like I can't sleep in
past seven. It is what it is. So woke up
fairly early and I was like, why no, what, let's
do crabs today? I think honestly, it's because I have
this TikTok in my feet, this guy who feeds crabs
to his fish, And I was like, you want to know,

(01:07):
crabs sound good? So I hit my Buddy Shame White
and Guy Crabs was joined by Buddy Dante and his
entire family. Was a lot of fun. And then I
went to my neighbor's house on Saturday. They'll get together.
That was kind of fun. His family was out of town.
See he has some guys over and it's just cool
to see. I'd never been inside his place before, and

(01:27):
so we have a similar layout, but different builds that
make sense, Like whoever built my house, they chose different
things and built his. So it was kind of cool
to be like in my house's cousin, if that makes sense,
similar DNA, different dads, do you know what I mean?
So that was kind of cool to see how that
laid out, and then just kind of passed out Sunday.

(01:50):
Went to the gym. That was very good. Went to
Target early that was very good. I saw Trap the
New Jake No Josh Hart and almost said Jake Gillenhall
Josh Hartnett movie. Thought that was good. That was a
good little twist on on movies. Can't go wrong with that.
And then big week this week. First of all, the

(02:11):
tickets are still on sale. My intern John's from Scratch
Comedy Tour. The last one next Saturday. August seventeenth, Ram said,
Live the Bogo sale ends next week. See buy one ticket,
you get one for free when you break it down
and makes like each ticket I think fifteen bucks. So
you and a friend going fifteen bucks helping out fish Rouse,

see myself, see my father, which that's gonna be something,
that's gonna be a whole lot something. See my dad
do comedy. He's very excited. August seventeenth, Ram said, Live
get tickets Internship on comedy dot Com. I'm excited. It's
gonna be a big week. Tomorrow's my birthday, which Tuesday.

(02:54):
You know, it is what it is. I've been trying
to think about what I want to do the actual day,
Like I've tied my workouts this week, so in theory,
tomorrow could be an off day. However, my next two
weeks are so stupidly busy. So birthdays Tuesday, Thursday, doing
the Empire ships back with the show, the Star Wars

(03:14):
bro Less show, Friday, I sure Saturday doing the birthday
at public in Deup, Polish. Be a lot on Sunday,
probably recovering. Then the week after that my parents come
into town on next Thursday. They have the best in Baltimore,
like the reception hour, so very excited for that saus
to get her award. Thaws shower gets there our award.

(03:34):
I guess how I say that Friday going to the
O's game my parents Saturdays is show in Baltimore, and
the week after that the bar opens, so it's gonna
be a lot. Man. Then hockey starts in like three weeks.
We got a lot going on, you know, but that's good.
That means business is good. We're making moves, we're having
fun while doing it. There we go. I want to

(03:56):
hit this real quick for your Monday. The cute personality trade.
It's that women love and men. I want to see
if these stack up. I've been learning a little bit
just how bad dating is out there, particularly for the ladies, Like,
for instance, they hold the door open. That should be
one of the most obvious things to do, even if

(04:18):
it's not for a lady. Fellows, you're supposed to hold
the door somebody's nearby, and if that's enough to sets
you apart and make you that much better, he won't
open the doorfam What are you doing? That's it's easy
and it's free. What more could you do next one?

(04:38):
Is there competitive? They say, not all women on this
simp bandwagon motes want person going to challenge them, not
falling around my gloss puppies and tell them they're perfect.
He's shiverrous, yes, but he's not about let you win
a board game night. That makes sense. That way, it's fun.
There's nothing more fun to talk and trash your partner
will playing games. It's so much fun, so much fun.

(05:01):
They can put us out of their egos. That makes
sense for sure. They know their own worth. To attract women,
men need to command respect to that. To do that,
you have to have a strong self, a strong sense
of self understanding. I think that's true. I also think
that makes you not put yourself in bad situations as well.
If you know you're better than that, you know you're

(05:24):
better than certain situation, you won't let yourself fall into
that trap. I think that's huge, huge, huge. They're nice
to waiters, makes sense. They say, it's a small scale
way of seeing that partner has a good personality check.
They maintain eye contact with the weight staff of taking
their order, always say thank you, YadA, YadA. I think
that's fair for anybody that goes both ways one hundred

(05:45):
percent of my date with somebody and they're mean to
the waiter. I'm not gonna like that because for one
thing too like that makes me look bad, you know,
because I'm sitting there awkwardly like I I'll just have
the chicken nuggets please. Yeah, that's having a good time.
If they're willing to watch the Selling Sunset or other

(06:07):
of like those types of shows with you. They said,
man who can embrace his feminine side and just have
fun sharing the activity with you. Women love that. As
long as he gets stuck in with each character in
each drama, you have us much fun telling them about it.
I think that's fair. That's fair. Also, I feel like
that's good because it's something you can do together and
like again, no judgment because there's gotta be trade offs

(06:30):
where it's fun for you. Me and my actually to
play video games. That was fun. That's my favorite things
to do. So that was kind of like a good
good vibe. If they ask about your friends, that is
a sign or they asked to meet your friends, say
it's always keep When guys asked to meet your friends,
it shows they know how important they are to you
and how much you rely on them. I'll say this,

(06:51):
that's because fellas fellas you down and get the friction. None.
You gotta get her friends on your side. Of the
more important things you can do, get her friends and
family on your side, because if there's ever a moment
where she maybe has doubt or maybe you put yourself
in not the greatest position, as long as her friends

(07:13):
and family think you're good for her, they will have
your back. However, if you don't give off that vibe,
that just means that friends of family will rightfully so
try to bury your ass the first chance they get.
Make sure they like you, fam make sure that they
think you're a good person. They invite you on family vacation.

(07:35):
Of course, said men are open and vulnerable enough to
invite you on vacation with their family or real keepers. Yeah,
because I think two and I've said this a million times.
A guy wants the girl he's dating to be approved
by friends of family so they get off his back.
But I think that's all so cool. Yeah, you wanted
to spend time together, vacation together, and see how while

(07:56):
you fit into the family mold. See if your family
is vibe with each other, if they get you flowers
just because. Do this all the time. Takes a little
bit getting used to, so that your girl doesn't think
that you did something wrong. They say, real men know
red roses are an overdue cliche, and they don't weigh
around for a reason to treat you well. They know

(08:17):
you deserve the world. Yeah, one hundred percent. Send flowers
to work, send flowers to the house. I would do
just because flowers all the time. I think this is
I like doing that stuff. But I also think it's's
good to know and good that they know like you
care about them. They're, you know, priority. I think that's
huge ties into the next one. They prioritize you over

(08:38):
their friends. They say, it isn't This isn't to say
they know their friends. That'd be red flag. But seeing
how they prioritize you even though they have a different
offer on the card is always nice to see. I
think that's fair. That's certainly a hard balance, of course,
but I do think eventually, when you get past a

(08:59):
certain marker, partner's got to be a priority, but you
start to maintain those other relationships. I think that's more
than fair. They're great with kids. I had a coworker
tell me recently. I guess not recently, like months ago,
because one of our coworkers brought this kids shot to
Darren and like I got down to talk to on
the kids level, and She's like, that was the most

(09:20):
oddly attractive thing I've seen. I'm like, oh, look at me.
I love children, children love me. They encourage you, got
the ad you comfort zone. I like that one. The
final one. Many challenge their partners are important. They now important.
Growth is both separately within the relationship. This is sure
as the spark is kept alive, you both continue to

(09:42):
enrich each other. I think that's fair. I would also
say they encourage you gather your comfort zone because they're
there to catch you if you fall. I said this
in the past, like I've been able to do some
really cool things because the person I was dating was
able to, like I knew if if something went wrong,

(10:02):
they catched me if I fell. You know, it's easy
to do the the trapeze relatively if you have the
safety out there. You know, you know, like if I fall,
