Speaker 1 (00:00):
And a happy Monday friend to welcome to the thought Shower.
Internshown is my name. Hopefully I had a chance to
relax this weekend, chance to recover. I know, I try
to been busy a couple of weeks. Give me a
busy couple weeks going forward. By the way, I want
to make sure you know this, we are doing our
first ever clause im pause Doggie Halloween Costume contest going

(00:22):
down this coming Sunday, October nineteenth, noon to two pm,
Lone Oak Farm. Bring your dog, put your dog in
a costume. First place wins five hundred dollars cash money. Unfortunately,
I don't think it's the vibe for Skittles. Chewye have
been fine. Skittles is just he's a border Collie, and
if you know about border Collies, they're hurting dogs like

(00:45):
they herd animals, and they will revert to hurting, and
so I think that he would be too stimulated. And
the problem with Skittles is like he's so cute you
want to put your face in his face. However, he's
not a fan of that. He asked to be the
one to do it first, which honestly, it makes sense

(01:05):
if I was a human and somebody I didn't know
put their face into my face. I'm gonna assume it's
not for fun reasons. You know, he's had a costume
once before. I got a really nice, like really nice.
It's like a tuxedo costume. So him and Chewy both
went as like waiters one year. Chewy used to hate

(01:28):
Halloween costumes. He acted as if it was pure torture,
although he looked adorable in them. I have a great
one of him as Darth Vader. There was my favorite
of all time. He was the horse. He had a
cowboy ride in his back, or a jockey rather on
his back. There was that one sawas once got him
a lizard one. He looked adorable, but he hated it.

(01:49):
But when it comes to pets, isn't that like paying
the rent? You know, you don't got to do anything
as a pet, Just pay the rent, enjoy yourselves, or
don't you pay the rent? Rather relax? Your rent is
being cute for the holidays. I was thinking about maybe
getting skittles to see Santa Claus. I think that'd be

(02:09):
kind of fun. Photos. We shall see. Let me get
to this for your Monday. The conspiracy theories people actually believe.
Now here's my thing on conspiracy theories. Do I think
there's truth to some of them? Yes, However, the problem
is not so much the theory itself, it's the people

(02:31):
involved in the theory, do you know what I mean? Like,
you know, like for a while it was like, uh,
everybody can agree Justin Bieber makes bangers, even back in
the day One time baby. However, I think for a
while people didn't want to be associated with being a
believer like his fan base because the believers were very intense.

(02:53):
That makes sense. So I feel like with conspiracy theories,
you want to believe some However, sometimes a conspiracy theorists
it's like, okay. I also think the problem with conspiracy
theories is when it's proven false, you gotta kind of
let it go. Like I do. Think there's some conspiracy
theorists where there's nothing you can do to prove their

(03:16):
mind otherwise. So in that case, it's not really a theory,
it's a fact to you, you know. Not. So I
want to get in all mind, no, because I want
to be doing the podcast on Wednesday, you know, starting
with the Earth is hollow, they say. Proponents of this
theory suggest a hidden civilization, advanced technology, and potentially new

(03:38):
forms of life exists beneath our feet. I'll say this much.
I think that like if there's aliens probably in the ocean,
like legitimately, I think the ocean is like, ocean is
scary for one thing. Ocean is massive for one thing.
We'll never explore. I don't even know inety percent of

(04:00):
the ocean. So I would say that to me freaky,
especially like I ain't grew up on the ocean. I
grew up in Minnesota, So the ocean kind of freaks
me out. Not that I'm afraid of the water, but like,
you know, there's some secrets in the ocean. The moon
landing faked. This is Eric His big one is the
moonlanding didn't happen. I've read the theories on that that

(04:22):
we were trying to win the space race and that
you know, there's we lost, the technology, lost, the footage.
That part of it isn't great. Like that, the fact
that we haven't gone back allegedly and we don't have
the technology to go back, apparently that does seem odd
considering nineteen sixty nine. Technology probably better now than then.

(04:47):
I've always thought that if that was to be true,
How would you get people to be quiet for so long?
Do you know what I'm saying? Like that to me, Like,
I don't know if you get people to not admit
it or not leak that secret, especially with how often
we have government leaks. I don't know if that one

(05:10):
would hold up. Do I understand the idea of why
we would do it sure to beat other countries. I
also think that like other countries would have been like, yeah,
they ain't go the moon. They didn't. They didn't happen,
you know what I mean. So that's why I don't know.
I'm a little bit skeptical on that one. I suppose

(05:30):
the Mandela effect. This one's crazy. It's a phenomena where
people or call events facts or details differently than they
actually occurred. This talks about like I think that one
of the big ones I've heard. Remember they got milk
campaigns back in the day, and there's that meme like
member advirl Vin's got milk campaign and the answer is no,
you don't because she never did it, which is crazy.

(05:52):
So that one, I think is real. I've heard two memories.
It's like everybody has their own version of a memory
and every time you pull that book off the show shelf,
it is altering the memory. So that's kind of interesting.
Elvis Presley faked his death. The theory Elvis faked his
death has persisted for decades. Feel by sightings, alleged sightings,

(06:14):
you know, I don't know. They say that Elvis became
disillusioned with fame stage's death to live a life being anonymous.
I think that to me would be cool if that
was real, like if they're because there's a for a while,
Andy Kaufman who was one of my favorite comedians because
Andy would was on S and L backham Day. Have

(06:34):
you ever seen the movie Saturday Night. It's on Netflix now.
It's really good. But the first show Andy succeeded because
nobody knew what the bit was. Like Andy would do
pro wrestling before wrestling was known to be you know, predetermined,
and he would go on talk shows wearing neck brace
and throw coffee on people, and people never knew what

(06:55):
the bit was. So when he died, nobody thought it
was real, like they thought he was faking. And for
a while people are saying that now that to me,
if you could pull that off, that'd be crazy. I
don't know how the world would take it. I think
it had to be a thing where like I don't know,
like your family and friends would obviously have to know.

(07:17):
Like if I, god forbid, lost somebody in my life
and they came back years later, like, hey, it was
actually a bit, I don't think i'd be like accepting
of that. But oh yeah, dude, all's forgiven. Yeah, Oh
we just mourned you for a while and that. Yeah,
all's forgiven. All good. Don't worry about it. Alien life

(07:38):
at Area fifty one. You know this is one too,
when people are trying to storm Area fifty one. I
remember saying on the air, you know it's a military base, right.
I don't know if storming a military base is the
way to go. Now, I'll say this, The problem to
me is that what can fuel conspiracy theories is when

(07:59):
government or people in power don't just release all the
information at the same time. Do I think we can
handle all the information? No, we cannot. Look at the world, dude,
I don't think we're in a place where we could
handle if there were aliens somewhere. So do I think
that there's stuff going on we don't know about? Yeah? Absolutely,

(08:23):
I would also say too, I don't think i'd want
to know some of the stuff going on, do you
know what I mean? Like, I've always thought about if
I became president, where I want to know all the
secrets some of it. I'm like, man, would you want
to know if there are aliens and there's an attack
coming on Earth? Would you want to know that? I
don't know. What can I do? Play Call of Duty?

(08:47):
Host the show? I don't know? This one's a while too.
That Titanic never sank, so they claim its sister ship
went down in an insurance fraud scheme. They argue that
whites Are Lines switched the ships to claim the insurance money,
as the Olympic ID been damaged in an earlier incident.
They point to discrepancies in the ship's design and the

(09:08):
events leading up to disaster as evidence of the switch.
Despite extensive documentation and underwater ex exploration confirm me t
Tank's identity. Those ones to me too, again, I just
don't know. I don't know. That's a lot. And then like,
how do you figure out where people are on certain boats?
I don't know? Do I think it's fun to have

(09:30):
conspiracy theories? Sure keeps things interesting? Certainly, but like some
of these more plausible than others. I had sat in
the air for the longest time. When your iPhone starts
to slow down, that means the new phone's coming, and
that was found to be true. That was found to
be true. I also, if you remember, years ago on
The Cane Show, would cover my camera on my computer

(09:52):
with take so I'm like, you don't know somebody's watching
you on the other side. As it turned out, that
was happening. So longest those the other stuff I'll leave
to the internet sleuths. I remember there was a great
one for the Flat Earthers, a Netflix documentary where at
the end the guys ran the experiment and it proved
the Earth Earth wasn't flat, and they were like, well,

(10:12):
go ahead to the tests again. I'm like, I think
we're good. Helpe, you have a fantastic Monday. Appreciate your listening.
It's thought shower.
