should be got a great second hour of the show.
Daniel Jeremiah will join us. He was at Chargers Camp today.
I don't know if he's calling us from Charger Camp
or what, but we'll definitely have to catch up with

(00:44):
him momentarily. But before we do, let's get to the midway.
He's not getting the middle.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
It's time for stuck in the middle.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
The midway, Okay, the midway today. Midway is the middle
of the show, midle the week, middle of the day.
It can be anything. So hmm, this is good, really
really good. This is good Okay, So The Quarterback is

(01:20):
a reality show and it's popular. It's on Netflix. I've
watched it. I think it's outstanding. Apparently you have several
of these quarterbacks who have turned it down turned it down,
So that brings us to the question, would you what
is it? Would you do any reality show? Jase do?

(01:44):
By the way, we're broadcasting life from the tiret dot
Com studios tyret dot com. Well you get their unmatched selection.
Faste shaping Free Road has protection over ten thousand recommended
to tallar tyret dot com. It's the way tire buying
should be. Jase, do do we want to do any
reality shows or specific reality show?

Speaker 3 (01:59):
The nature of the reality show that the Quarterback I
think is so put yourself in the shoes of the quarterback.
But you're not a quarterback, You're just your talk show host.
John Ramos is a technical producer. Isaac is an update
guy slash play by play guy Slash, I rip off
your passports for streaming guy. The reality show is you're

(02:23):
going to sign a contract and for the next several
months you're going to have a reality show crew and
includes producers that prompt you, that have you retell stories
if not told well enough that prompt you to change
subjects or speak on a subject. You have film crews
that set up lighting on a daily basis in your home.

(02:47):
They follow you to work and do the exact same
thing to your work and the people that you work
with for months and months. Would you sign up for that?

Speaker 1 (03:00):
Let's ask guys a glowing corn I Loo, Well.

Speaker 4 (03:03):
It's funny that this'd be the topic. I've actually never
really told anybody, but I actually once made a pilot show,
a reality show like that. It was going to be
call It was tentatively titled I Low and Behold. It
was going to be on Hulu minus, but the deal
actually fell through. I'm just joking, by the way, not

(03:27):
a bad title. I must say this part is actually true.
So back when I was in high school, the La Times,
remember the prep extra section, Doug, Yeah, okay, So they
actually did an article on me. You know, who's this
idiot kid who was announcing his high school football games.
That actually did turn out to be the actual title,
by the way, But they sent a photographer, like a

(03:48):
professional photographer on assignment to shoot me and follow me
around at one of our high school football games and
it was very, very disconcerting. Now I was. I wasn't
used to it, but just having somebody follow you around
all the time and they're just doing their job, it
becomes very self conscious and a little disconcerting after a while.

(04:11):
And looking at it now from an adult standpoint, I
think it would be a lot more self conscious if you,
like didn't have final say on the content, because if
there was something you did during the course of your
regular life, could it be misconstrued or misinterpreted to make
you seem like some sort of ogre or horrible person.
So I guess it would be the editorial control you

(04:33):
would have it, But I would honestly say no. And
I do that also out of respect for the crew,
which would be bored out of their minds following me
around except when I'm on with you guys, of course,
Jase do so.

Speaker 3 (04:49):
I used to work with Rodney pet Rodney Pete star
at usc quarterback play in the NFL for many years.
Everyone knows Rodney Peat. He and his wife Holly do
a reality show, or at least did when I worked
with him for the Hallmark Channel, and it was kind
of done in the way that the Kardashians are done.
They just follow the family everywhere. And one day they

(05:10):
had a shoot scheduled for work and Rodney asked if
I could just be there and produce kind of a
mock show for this reality show. And I remember we
did it, and you know, the producers are like, you know,
just act like yourselves, but then if you don't enter
the room right or you're not at the right angle,

(05:31):
they'll have you do it again. So it's nothing like real.
So and then I watched it back on the reality
show and I saw my you know, the camera says
that it adds ten pounds. Were there must have been
multiple cameras on me because it was multiple times ten pounds.
It was hard to look at myself. I had to

(05:52):
turn off my TV. I do not want to see
No one deserves to see me on TV, and I
don't want to see my off on TV. That part
of it really turns me off. Now, if there's millions
of dollars behind this and a chance to increase a
platform that I'm not seeking, maybe maybe there's a consideration there,

(06:15):
but there is so much no. I wouldn't and and
it's because I don't. I don't need the publicity and
you don't.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
I don't think like you don't think it could it
could help your career.

Speaker 3 (06:29):
Help the career, and that it would would put more
money in my bank. Yeah, but the entre opportunities, the
intrusiveness of it, of this.

Speaker 1 (06:38):
Forgiven, there's give and take with it.

Speaker 3 (06:40):
Yeah, but that's what this conversation is about, right, I mean,
to me, the intrusiveness probably does not outweigh or or
undercut what I would be making on it. I just
feel that strong. And remember I was on blind Date,
and you know, everything that you do, every conversation you

(07:01):
have is scrutinized by a producer just off camera, and
they tell you to resay things that are interesting. Let's
set up the cameras and redo what the conversation you
just had. It's it's again, the most unreal thing you
ever see is reality TV. And to me, it's just
off putting and intrusive.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
All right, to Jenramas.

Speaker 5 (07:27):
Well, I would be for it myself and probably my
son Lucas. Suzanne and Sarah would not be for it.
So I don't know who would break the tide. Jonah,
He's only four, so I'm not sure he'd be able
to do that. But I'd be fine with it. Like
you said, I mentioned, it doesn't matter if you're I mean,
I don't think we'd be interesting. But if that's not

(07:47):
really the question, if just whether or not you'd want
to do it, I would say yes for me.

Speaker 4 (07:51):
Stay tuned for the ramos with the mostest coming this fall.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
I mean we you know, I mean, like listen, by
the way, guys, by the way, guys would they do?
Is there any what are the percentage chances Jase do
based upon what he said they would do the reality show?
What are the chances that would do the reality show?

Speaker 4 (08:10):
I wasn't the classic elevator patch.

Speaker 1 (08:11):
I suppose no, he said, you know, I says Suzanne
wouldn't want to do it, So he's out.

Speaker 4 (08:19):
Right. John's out right.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
Right.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
I'd like to I'd like to do it. I don't think.
Here's the thing. I don't even think John would ask Suzanne,
Am I right?

Speaker 6 (08:35):
Would I ask her if it's okay to do reality show?

Speaker 1 (08:37):
Well?

Speaker 5 (08:38):
I probably would, Doug, because I mean, it probably wouldn't
be too cool to have he would just show up
at our house because.

Speaker 1 (08:45):
You wouldn't know because you wouldn't do it though.

Speaker 6 (08:47):
Oh right, right? I see what you're saying.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
Right, You're like, I'm not going to ask. I already
know the answer.

Speaker 6 (08:52):
Good point.

Speaker 1 (08:53):
The answer is hell to the no, Right, that's the
that's the answer. Yeah, I would do it. I would
do it. And there's a litany of reasons why I
would do it. Let me kind of read them out
to you. I Mean, the first thing is, you're gonna

(09:15):
make money doing it. They made and you know, like
as much as they want you to do it a
certain way, at the end of the day, it's up
to you. It's a reality show. You can be you.
I have yet to see somebody who is a good
person come off as anything other than a good person
on a reality show. And I think, especially if he's

(09:37):
quarterback guys, and it's incredibly stupid. They you know, they
make them look like they're angels. I mean, it's not
hard for Kirk Cousins because he probably is actually a
living angel. But I get it, Jason, Like, you don't
want people in your life. You'd like your privacy, you
like your quiet. You know, I'm not that way. I
don't care about my privacy all that much, and I

(10:00):
I would love to see what my life looks like
through a different lens. I actually think that would be interesting.

Speaker 4 (10:04):
So okay, there's some producers out there who are now interested.
What would you want the title to be? I've got
either got got leave like got milk? Or Beware of Doug?

Speaker 6 (10:20):
Why would you want to be aware of him? I
don't sound good.

Speaker 1 (10:23):
Yeah, that's a don't go near Doug.

Speaker 6 (10:26):
That's next.

Speaker 1 (10:28):
I thought he was gonna do I Dream of Doug
or something because they're all old TV references from my
low that was. That was my fear that it was
all old TV references from my low.

Speaker 3 (10:38):
How about Dig Doug?

Speaker 1 (10:40):
Good video game? Right?

Speaker 3 (10:41):
Play on the old video game Dig.

Speaker 1 (10:43):
Was It was a really good video game.

Speaker 3 (10:44):
But dig also having a double meaning like, hey, we
dig Doug. We all dig Doug.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
Why shouldn't you? Why shouldn't you? Okay, now, what about
this chase too? If you're a quarterback, would you do
that the Quarterback Show?

Speaker 3 (11:02):
Yeah? Now that so that, I think also goes into
the category of do I am I seeking attention? In
this social media era, it's filled with a generation of
people that does seek attention, doesn't mind the attention. So man,

(11:24):
if I'm the quarterback, I don't need any extra attention.
I don't need it. But if you put yourself in
the shoes of this generation, it just seems like a
natural thing. And it is surprising to see like a
Jalen Hurts and Justin Fields, even though I know I
think he's already done one before pass up on this.

(11:44):
I'm shocked that they are actually their generation. But no, no,
if I'm even a quarterback, I don't. I don't want
the attention. I don't want it.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
I love your quarterback has to change your opinion.

Speaker 4 (11:57):
Yes, because I have more more leverage in that situation.
I'll have my own representation and pr people who can
control the content to maybe portray me in if at
least not a completely positive light, a realistic but non

(12:18):
negative light. So yes, because I would have more leverage
and more control for my own, for lack of a
better term, brand, if I was a quarterback.

Speaker 1 (12:30):
That's the midway.

Speaker 2 (12:33):
The midway.

Speaker 1 (12:34):
The show is brought to you by Progressive Insurance. Progressive
makes fuddling easy and affordable. Get a multi policy discount
by combining your motorcycle, rvbot, ATV and more all your
protection one place. But I want, say, Progressive dot Com,
what current reality shows. Do you actually watch Jase two?

Speaker 3 (12:48):
The one that I watch, obviously is a Bachelor, All
the Bachelors, and I think that does it. I think
that's that's the only one I do. I did that.
I did The Housewives of New Jersey and it was
very compelling, and then I stopped watching for whatever reason.
But no, I don't do a lot of reality TV.
Just the Bachelor franchise.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
I don't either, But I like the the f One show.
I like the Quarterback, I too like The Bachelor. Generally.
I'll watch it some.

Speaker 3 (13:16):
Oh you know what, if you're including these sports things,
I guess the hard Knocks I do watch. Yeah, I'm in.

Speaker 1 (13:21):
The middle of the golf one, one of the caddies.

Speaker 3 (13:23):
No, I'm not saying that.

Speaker 1 (13:25):
Pretty good, pretty good, pretty pretty good.

Stugglib Show, Fox Sports Radio, Sad News Today, The Word
of Music Snat O'Connor died. Was she fifty one fifty
six man? And she had other hits, but this is
the one she's most known. For right, She's known for

(14:06):
two things, shaved her head and.

Speaker 6 (14:09):
This song, and one more big thing too.

Speaker 1 (14:13):
It was like anti United States protest.

Speaker 5 (14:15):
Kind of like she she ripped up the Pope picture
on Saturday Night Live.

Speaker 6 (14:19):
That was a big thing.

Speaker 1 (14:22):
Okay, Jay stew are you okay? Does the Pope picture
match in terms of how much people know her with
the other two?

Speaker 3 (14:31):
I think so. Yeah, that was a big one. Yeah,
you don't want to piss off religious people. And by
the way, Prince gave her that song. Prince wrote that song.

Speaker 1 (14:40):
Really yeah, hmm, strong song, strong song she had. I
think one of her sons died like last year, right,
that was the big story, that is correct. He was
like seventeen. That sucks. That'll ruin anybody, man, I understand that.

Speaker 6 (15:00):
See definitely was a big, big musical artist.

Speaker 5 (15:02):
And was it the nineties, right, the nineties that was
her kind of decade that she kind of ruled through.

Speaker 1 (15:09):
Yeah. I don't know if she ruled through. I mean
like she had if I had to let her look
at her song list. But yes, she was very well
known and she but I think for a myriad of reasons,
not all like one was the shape the shaved head.
I thought was a big reason why she was known strong. Look,

(15:31):

(16:17):
Dania Jeremiaho was out at Chargers Camp earlier today. What's
what's the spirit of Chargers Camp? A team you cover
with Justin Herbert getting his new deal.

Speaker 7 (16:27):
Yeah, that was a lot of energy out there, Doug.
I mean, I think, you know, first day of practice
around the league, you're gonna see a lot of fresh
legs and a lot of high hopes, so that's not
totally unusual. But here, you know, I haven't been out
here the first day for several years now, not having
a contract situation like it existed in the past with
Derwin James and Melvin Gordon's, you know, the kind of

(16:48):
stuff hanging over the team. There's none of that. It's
a it's a pretty healthy group and you know, you
get out there practice. Herbert had a really nice day,
Keeen Allen a nice one handed catch, and you know,
Mike Williams is beat out there running around healthy, and
Quentin Johnson, the rookie, made a couple of nice plays.
So there's a lot of talent. Talent is not ever
going to be an issue here.

Speaker 2 (17:08):
They are.

Speaker 7 (17:08):
They are really really talented group.

Speaker 1 (17:10):
Okay, Yeah, I mean, we we've talked about this, I
think more than anybody else, not me and you just
on my show. Just like at some point the talent
has to be and you have a quarterback and it
feels like you have an offensive coordinator who Kellen Moore
who may fit better here. What's the what's what's missing?
It's got to be something other than if they if

(17:32):
they have injuries. What's what's the potential downfall this team?

Speaker 7 (17:36):
Well, you know, really the issue over the last few
years has spent stepths. They've had the premiere kind of
star level, blue chip players, but due to injuries at
keith spots. You know, we've seen Joey Bosa miss a
lot of time last year. You know, Rashaun Slater missed
the majority of the season. Jamari Sawyer you know, stepped
in and played well, but then you lose his depth
along the interior. So they've had really kind of depth

(17:59):
along the last year. They lost a couple of defensive tackles. Shoot,
I think that four defensive tackles get hurt last year.
So they need to stay healthy one of course, but
they need to have some quality depth of when those
guys are out, you don't have a tremendous drop off.
And you know, you think about Keenan Allen and Mike
Williams of missed games over the last few years. So
now you have Quinton Johnson and Palmer in there. That's

(18:20):
not bad. And then you look at the defensive front
two y Twoy Polo to the rookie second round pick
out of usc Is. There is a nice insurance piece
for Khalil Mack and Joey Bosa. So I think that's
the biggest difference. You know, one day out there, we'll
see how it goes. But there seems to be upfront
a deeper group than they've had.

Speaker 1 (18:40):
What is what's your take on the running back market discussion?

Speaker 7 (18:47):
Well, I feel I feel back for him. I get
why they're upset, I get why they're frustrated. You you know,
you could see a guy who's a third receiver that's
making more than you are, and you can say, okay,
well my impact is different than his, and I should
be getting paid more. But the issue is really what
happened with Todd Gurley, what's happened with Zeke Elliott, what

(19:09):
happened with Le'Veon Bell? And these running backs you know,
unfortunately have not had tremendous longevity and have not maintained
their level of play when you start getting into your
you know, eight, nine and ten. So that's where you know,
I think it might be a different discussion if those
contracts had played out better. We just have very few

(19:29):
examples of a lot of money going on the second
contract to a running back and ending.

Speaker 1 (19:33):
Well, yeah, what what did Saquan accomplish other than getting
what nine hundred grand more? Is this nine under grand more?
To make sure he shows up for camp and preseason?

Speaker 7 (19:45):
Yeah, I mean, I guess it's not a huge win
on his part. I mean, I think he probably should
have taken the deal in hindsight, But you know, I
think that at least says, hey, it's a respect thing
that this is what they you know, they me and
uh and they went a little bit above and beyond that.
So that's you know, they take that as a sign
of some respect. Even though they get the number that

(20:07):
they wanted, they can show up and and feel like
there was some respect shown.

Speaker 8 (20:11):
So I get it.

Speaker 7 (20:12):
It's not a ton of money, but it's more than
they had to pay them.

Speaker 1 (20:15):
Fair enough, fair enough. Any thoughts that Josh Jacobs misses
a game this year, I'm not not.

Speaker 7 (20:22):
I'd be shocked. Yeah, I'd be shocked.

Speaker 2 (20:25):
You know.

Speaker 7 (20:26):
Again, it's just the way that the way that it's
set up leverage wise, you just it's it's not it's
not worth it to play that game.

Speaker 1 (20:36):
No, plus. I mean it's ten million dollars. That's a
lot of money.

Speaker 7 (20:39):
That's a lot of money.

Speaker 1 (20:40):
That's a lot, a lot of a lot of money.

Speaker 7 (20:43):
You know what's going to take. I mean people say, like,
what's it going to take for this to change? What's
what's going to take is for all these guys that
are upset right now to go out play through their contract,
play through their franchise tag, and then go play meaningful,
really good football you know you're eight, nine, ten, and
then okay, then maybe that will flip and change. But

(21:04):
there just hasn't been a recent history of that working out.

Speaker 1 (21:07):
Well, no, no, there's so what do you think that
Joe Burrow numbers just slightly above that of above that
of of Herbert.

Speaker 7 (21:16):
I was talking to somebody in the league today and
they said, the expectation is that the Borough number, you know,
whenever that gets done, will come in a little bit
above and Mahomes is going to redo his deal and
he'll go over the top of all of them, and
then uh, and then it'll be Josh Allen getting in
line again to go back and read his deal, like
all these AFC stud quarterbacks. I think we're going to

(21:38):
see this over the next you know, decade really is
just one, just top and another and then then trying
to get back to the market earlier than you should
be because you feel like you're, yeah, you're way underpaid
at that point in time. So it's going to be
interesting to see if a team eventually said, nope, we
did this long deal. We gotta we got to ride
this one out a little bit here, so that that's

(21:58):
when I think we're in for some for a little
bit of a roller coaster.

Speaker 1 (22:02):
I would tend to agree with you The Quarterback. It's
I think an outstanding reality series. But I don't know,
Like you have all these guys hesitant to be in
The Quarterback season two. They don't make anybody look but
even Marcus Mariot who bailed on the Falcons, like, they
don't really follow him through the decision. There's no nothing

(22:23):
makes him look bad. Why would these guys not want
to do it?

Speaker 7 (22:28):
I don't know. I mean, I guess it's just the
you know, the camera is attached to a human being,
so it's just having human beings in your house during
your downtime and you maybe don't want I guess, so
I mean that would be the only reason. I don't
think it's for any image or how flattering unflattering. If
you'll be presented, it's always going to present you at
a positive way. And I think it's just some people. Yeah, Doug,

(22:48):
you just don't want people in your homes. So I
think it's probably about as simple as that. Would you
do it, I would do it. I think it's something
that I as you get older, I'm forty five, I
start thinking of things that you kind of leave behind.
Is kind of and I would say the legacy. But
that's a cool thing for your grandkids to see and

(23:09):
you know, share with your your you know, your your
kids and their kids years in the future. Hey, this
is this is what my life was like during that
point in time. It's like having a real life living
photo album.

Speaker 1 (23:21):
That's a great point that and I mean I again,
it just you get promoted. You never know what opportunity
to may come from it, and you make a little
sketch when you're doing it. I don't. I guess maybe
I don't see as much of the downside as other people.
I do get the night having people around sometimes sometimes
you just need a breath, But it doesn't feel like
it's an intrusive way in which they do it. I

(23:42):
could be wrong, obviously, there's a lot of stuff.

Speaker 7 (23:45):
I mean, you're trying and tell me, like, this isn't
something where you're calling up you know something goes a
little too far or you you have issues. It's not
like you're calling up and talking to a guy who's
been producing you know, reality TV. You're calling Peyton Manning.
I mean, like Pyton, you understand, like, look, this is
where we are in the season, this is going on,
and I just can't do this. Yeah, Peyton man He's

(24:06):
gonna understand that.

Speaker 1 (24:07):
Totally agree, completely agree. That's that's the part. Like if
you like his big thing is he doesn't want to
say anything bad about anybody. He doesn't. They don't think
they get anybody on the reality show if they make
them look bad. So why would you what would be
the why would you want to make people look bad?

Speaker 2 (24:22):
You know he's not.

Speaker 1 (24:25):
Jimmy Garoppolo. Does it work? Are they better in Vegas
because Garoppolo's there?

Speaker 7 (24:31):
That's the great enigma. And I was talking with Money
about this out at the charges practice today about how
I feel like I know Kansas City is going to
be really good. Obviously, that's not hard to figure that out.
I feel like Denver is going to be better with
Sean Payton. I feel pretty confident about that. Russell Wilson
I'll play better. I have no clue what the Raiders,
because you know, I know Jimmy fits the system and

(24:52):
has a relationship there with Josh McDaniels. I don't know
what his health is going to look like when he
gets out there. I don't know how in the world
you can rely on him seventeen games, you know, maybe
not rely on them for twelve games. You know, who knows,
but how that thing comes together there. And I still
think the offensive line has some issues. I still think
the secondary has some issues. That team has the broader range,

(25:14):
Like I feel like the Chargers, they're gonna win, you know,
worst case scenario, nine games, best case scenario like thirteen games, twelve,
thirteen games. I feel like the Broncos, you have a range.
You feel pretty good about it. Kansas City is gonna win.
I mean, they fall out of bed and win twelve games,
like you know what they're gonna do. If you told
me that the Raiders won three games or they want

(25:38):
to you know, eleven games. I say I could make
a case for either.

Speaker 1 (25:42):
Yeah, it's really it's just such a complete and total unknown, Complete.

Speaker 7 (25:47):
And total unknown.

Speaker 1 (25:50):
Stut Gottlieb show here on Fox Sports Radio. Speaking of unknown,
does the Sam Howell thing work in Washington? I know
he was known as a commodity when he was like, Hey,
maybe this guy's the first round draft pick and didn't
have the last year at Carolina that he hoped to have.
But now he's the starter in Washington. They got to

(26:11):
win with a new owner. Can he win? Will he
win as a starting quarterback? Well?

Speaker 7 (26:16):
I think he's completely dependent on on the environment. I
think he has to have a run game. He's at
his best throwing the ball down the field vertically. I
think if you want to put him in the shotgun
and do you know what, maybe you know Herbert can
do and Mahomes and Josh Allen and Trevor Lawrence like,
you'll be disappointed. But if you ask him, you know,
to get out there, run the football, take some shots

(26:37):
down the field, use your legs to create and make
some things happen. I think you'll have some success. I
think it's going to be entirely dependent on how they front,
how they play upfront, and how they run the ball.

Speaker 1 (26:48):
Are you a buyern to Aaron Rodgers? Does this work
with all the change they have in New York?

Speaker 7 (26:53):
Yeah? I think so. You know, long term is a
different story. I think this year, you know, provided they
keep some of their pieces healthy. Up front, they are
loaded with skill talent. He seems to be, you know,
pretty refreshed and engaged. So you know, I don't know
what that looks like a year from now, two years
from now, but I feel like in the short term, yeah,

(27:13):
I do think. I do think it'll work. He's he's
still I mean, if you get sixty percent of a
traditional Aaron Rodgers, that's really kind of all the just
need with what they have in place.

Speaker 1 (27:23):
Yeah, and the big thing is he doesn't turn the
ball over, right, Yeah, he turned over a little bit
more last year than her only does, but generally not
a turnover guy. And yeah, do you want some of
the spectacular, Sure, but if you just don't turn it over.
They seem to have enough around where they can be
really you would think really.

Speaker 7 (27:40):
Success six They've got six legit defensive end pass rushers,
six of them. I mean, they have a very talented roster.
So they just need him to be, you know, steady
and solid in the veteran presence. They don't need him
to be the traditional Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 1 (27:57):
And if they get a lead, obviously those guys can
pin their ears back and get after him. Daniel Jeremiah
Life from Chargers camp in Beautiful Coasta, Mesa, California. Padrew's
paying a little better, a little better.

Speaker 7 (28:08):
Yeah, well it can't get Doug. It's someone won four
games in a row. Yes, this year, that's it's inconceivable
that they have not been able to string it together.
But they like to win fourteen to two one day
and lose two to one the next. That's that's kind
of who they are this year.

Speaker 1 (28:20):
You know who won four games in a row last
week was the Angels? Really? Yeah, they've actually won I
think six out of seven. So trying to figure out
postpone platform.

Speaker 7 (28:31):
You have a platform, Will you please remind Jay su
and all the Dodger fans there's a zuero percent chance
that the Angels would ever trade showing a county.

Speaker 1 (28:39):
I don't want to say I don't want to say
zero percent. Like, look, if it's the best deal and
you charge them a little Dodgers tax. I don't think
it's crazy. I wouldn't want to. I wouldn't want to
do it. But if they if they're like they had
the best farm system, they want to come up off
the best players by all means. Yeah, I don't want
to trade them. I want I want try Out to
come back and then to make a move and then

(28:59):
and get to the playoffs. I just don't think that's
a likely scenario.

Speaker 7 (29:03):
Yeah, no, I would. I'd be rooting for him, But
I don't think they end up moving them. I think
they just enjoy the turnout for the rest of the
year and hope that they get in.

Speaker 1 (29:13):
That's crazy, that is crazy, but it may well happen.
Daniel Jeremiah, he talks football, He talks baseball occasionally some
hoops as well. Thanks for joining us, man all, I
appreciate it. Later one and only, DJ, We'll be out
there August fourteenth. I believe we're gonna be at Chargers Camp.

Let's get to the press, showing the press, Isaac Loew
and Kron give me all the stories the day you can.

Speaker 4 (31:08):
You know, doug incompletions are not typically associated with all
world tight end. Travis Kelcey, However, on his podcast This
Week with brother Jason, Travis revealed he shot his proverbial
shots with Taylor Swift when her Era's tour came to
arrow At Stadium recently, only to have his past fall incomplete. Listen.

Speaker 8 (31:33):
I was disappointed that she doesn't talk before or after
her shows because she has to save her voice for
the forty four songs that she sings, so I was
a little butt hurt. I didn't get to hand her
one of the bracelets I made for you made her bracelet. Yeah,
if you're up on Taylor Swift concerts, there are frendship
bracelets and I received a bunch of them being there,

(31:54):
but I wanted to give Taylor Swift to one with
my number on it.

Speaker 1 (31:57):
Ry your numbers in eighty seven or your phone number,
you know which one.

Speaker 8 (32:05):
So she didn't that she doesn't meet anybody, and she doesn't,
or at least she didn't want to meet me, so
I took a personal.

Speaker 5 (32:11):
Well, she probably just hasn't gotten over the Super Bowl yet.

Speaker 1 (32:14):
She's a big Eagles fan, so maybe she just made
something up and just didn't want to talk to you.

Speaker 4 (32:17):
Damn it a rare incompletion for Travis Kelcey.

Speaker 1 (32:22):
Do we think that's a real deal, that he really
really want to take a shot? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (32:26):
Why not?

Speaker 4 (32:27):
I mean he is he assumed, but why not sure?
I mean he went to all the trouble to make
that lanyard with his numbers on him. I actually think
it's kind of cute and romantic.

Speaker 1 (32:37):
Did you remember that that he had? There was actually
a she had a show like his own Bachelor's show
one off season where he dated like thirty cent women.

Speaker 4 (32:46):
I do, and I'd have a fresher memory if Jason
didn't change his passwords six weeks ago.

Speaker 1 (32:51):
That's funny, very very funny. It's a great story. Also,
the I like the protecting the voice. That's a solid
move out of her. Oh yes, protecting my voice. Sorry, protecting
my voice. Love to talk to you, protecting my voice.

Speaker 4 (33:07):
Do you think, though, in your analysis that this could
be a potential social media Craigslist connection? He mentions this,
hopes it goes viral, and then hopes that she notices.

Speaker 1 (33:20):
It's a great that's a great hypothesis. Yeah, it could be.
Why not?

Speaker 4 (33:27):
All right, well stay tuned for that. I'll just invite
myself to the wedding. UNC Charlotte forty nine ers head
coach Biff Pogi was already that's really his name, baby.
He was already irritated with his team being picked to
finish last in the American Athletic Conferences preseason media poll,

(33:47):
and then yesterday at AAC media day, Pog's irritation went
to another level when he was asked only three questions
by reporters when he was up at the podium, listen.

Speaker 9 (34:00):
Any other questions for coach?

Speaker 6 (34:02):
That's it?

Speaker 3 (34:03):
Three questions.

Speaker 6 (34:05):
Maybe that's because you have us ranked last.

Speaker 5 (34:07):
That's all what you think of?

Speaker 2 (34:09):
Um?

Speaker 6 (34:09):
So that would we get that message? Thank you?

Speaker 4 (34:14):
And Pogi then stormed off it a huff. I love
this guy, Biff Pogi, head coach of the UNC Charlotte
forty nine Ers.

Speaker 1 (34:21):
Just so you know, I know, you gotta say Charlotte.
You can't say unc show they don't like to go
by the uns.

Speaker 2 (34:27):
Jeez, one of these schools again.

Speaker 3 (34:29):
Oh boy, he.

Speaker 1 (34:31):
Was a directional school. Now they're just Charlotte. We just
want you to call it Charlotte.

Speaker 4 (34:36):
The Charlotte forty nine Ers head coach Biff Pogi. Sorry, Charlotte.

Speaker 1 (34:43):
His name is really Biff.

Speaker 4 (34:44):
That is no, that is not no, that is not
his I think his birth name is like Francis Xavier
or something like.

Speaker 1 (34:50):
That, and he goes by Biff.

Speaker 4 (34:52):
Yeah, Francis Xavier is his birth name, just like Chick
Hern's birth name is Francis Dale. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (34:58):
I think his parents were fans of the Back to
the Future franchise.

Speaker 4 (35:04):
Especially since he was born in nineteen fifty nine, so
maybe they were in Hill Valley or whatever if huh,
either that or death of a salesman, right, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (35:15):
I mean I love college coaches. They're just out of
their minds. So many of them completely out of their minds,
you know. You know, it's like it's like it's like
a that's baseball thing, Like, man, that was a weird response.
Who was that he's like he's a football coach college
or high school college. Yeah, okay, that makes sense.

Speaker 4 (35:32):
By the way, in all the college games that you've broadcast,
if you accidentally made a slip of the tongue like
I just did, and call them like UNC Charlotte and
have that particular school get mad at you, because for
a long time, for example, USC, they hated it.

Speaker 1 (35:46):
When people of University of spoiled children.

Speaker 4 (35:48):
Well that too, but Southern South Central, well that too,
but Southern cal Yes, anyway, well.

Speaker 1 (35:55):
I mean, like, listen, South Carolina wants to be known
as Carolina, and like North Carolina is like no. The
worst one I think is Louisian. Lafayette wants to be
They go by University of Louisian, right, which there was Martin,
There's Monroe. There's some others as well. Sure, and yet
they want to be known as university and people buy
into it. But I have always.

Speaker 4 (36:15):
Refused fight the good fight. Finally, a loss of power
in the production truck areas at Comerica Park in Detroit
yesterday called caused major technical difficulties of the first thirty
five minutes of yesterday's Tigers Angels game. At one point
both teams. Television crews had to announce the game using
cell phones. Here's how that sounded. On the Tigers side,

(36:38):
Ardo and.

Speaker 7 (36:38):
Jake Rogers thinking about a little bit longer fight three call.

Speaker 4 (36:43):
That's on the inside part of the place.

Speaker 7 (36:45):
Good hit three strikeouts on the night for after a
nine to pitch second, he needs just eleven to get
through the third in a ball game.

Speaker 4 (36:54):
And that was it. An actual Major league television broadcast
done on a cell phone.

Speaker 1 (37:00):
That's amazing. That's that's Angels baseball in a nutshell, right,
isn't it. I Mean, nothing says Detroit more than the
truck was not working. But the amazing part of technology.
We have a we have a technology, right you guys
know we can from our cell phone. We can broadcast

(37:21):
live from anywhere in the world as long as you
have connection and actually sounds really good if your microphone's
really good.

Speaker 4 (37:26):
I'm actually in Antarctica right now.

Speaker 1 (37:29):
Say height to the penguins. And that's the press.

Speaker 4 (37:31):
Get out there and pressed.

Speaker 2 (37:32):
That was the Press.

Speaker 1 (37:34):
