of Fox Sports Radio. Maybe it's Friday it's five o'clock somewhere,
not yet on the East coast, not yet, definitely not
on the West coast.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
But in honor of.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
Friday, we like to play a little something called Frosty Fridays.

Speaker 4 (01:14):
I got some beers, it's drink them.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
It's that time of the week to crack open a
cool beverage.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
It's Frosty Friday. M All right, boys, this is really
more your expertise than mine. Your Frosty Fridays chase, do
you want to begin?

Speaker 5 (01:39):
So we you have to first start off by saying
what you're drinking right now? What's in front of you?
What have you cracked open? And mine is Mexican beer Pacifico.
I feel like a little Mexican beer right now. And

(01:59):
what I'm really looking forward to this weekend is, you know,
the Dodgers, they got some some decent guys at the
trade deadline. I want to see how they how they mash,
how they mesh. We got a frontline starter that's going
to be getting to start here. Flairty Uh. We've got
a guy in the bullpen and Kopec and then a

(02:19):
couple of utility guys that we're gonna plug in and
I want to see how the new mix does. Andrew
Friedman's legacy as as a Dodgers president has been to
do a lot of winning during the regular season with
a lot of guys who analytically played good from from
out in front, and then when when you need some

(02:40):
clutch hitting, they don't provide it. So we'll see if
this new collection of hitters maybe ultra is the chemistry
a little bit and we could do some clutch hitting
and maybe win his first World Series title as a
as a president.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
All right, what about you? There's Iowa Sam.

Speaker 6 (03:03):
I can't say I have a lot of sports plans
for the weekend. I actually will be working here tomorrow
mid afternoon until eleven o'clock at night, filling in for
one of the part time ors. Just getting away to
see some family, So I'll be hanging out with my
old weekend pals. And but you know, maybe tonight or
after the shift tomorrow at eleven, I'll probably grab a

(03:25):
brut Ski Charlie and and then on Sunday I'll definitely
be having a cold one or two or three or four.

Speaker 5 (03:33):
I'll be going out to how do you guys say it?

Speaker 6 (03:35):
So I'm not a native someone helped me out port
Enemy WHENEMYI me, Winnie me, sorry, I just get that, yeah,
because it's kind of a it doesn't look how it sounds.

Speaker 5 (03:45):
Winnimi.

Speaker 6 (03:45):
I'll be going out to Port Winnimi area to help
Danny G, the producer for Kavina Rich, celebrate his son's
first birthday. I have committed to that, so I will
be making that about approximately hour drive and that's near Oxnard, right, yes,
so maybe I'll maybe I'll see some some Dallas cowboys
floating around somewhere. But I'll be going out to that

(04:05):
early afternoon on Sunday, which is my day off, and
definitely been having some cold ones after that drive, so
that's sort of my weekend in a nutshell.

Speaker 5 (04:13):
Doug, did you get an invite to Danny G's birthday
party for one year old?

Speaker 6 (04:18):
I did not mean neither, Dan, I mean Doug would
have definitely gotten on a plane and back out here.

Speaker 7 (04:24):
Yes, yes, I have been invited, interested committed fIF the show.

Speaker 5 (04:30):
It's been invited.

Speaker 7 (04:32):
I unfortunately, Well, I'll be hosting my show with Carrie
Rhodes newon Eastern nine Pacific on Sunday, and then because
of our U trip that we had back home to
go see Doug, and then Brody got COVID and everything
washed out. Lisa, myself and Brody will be going taking

(04:55):
a couple of days off after I having an appointment
on Monday and getting some R and R. So I'll
be away from you guys then, But in the meantime,
I may bee sitting on a nice cold glass of water.

Speaker 5 (05:08):
Well also, guys.

Speaker 7 (05:10):
Maybe downing a power aid after trying to get the
golf game in some sort of shape. Because at the
end of the month, I go back home, I play
golf with my buddies for a week, and yeah, it's
go time and the summer's winding down. Football is going
to take over all of our lives. So if I

(05:31):
get any opportunity tomorrow to maybe work on the golf game,
that's what we're gonna try to do. Tried last night,
hit some balls. It's not going where I needed it
to go, and so it's going to be a work
in progress.

Speaker 5 (05:45):
I'm reminded of the only Doug Gottlieb showed day off
golf trip when the four of us went out on
the hottest day of the year. I think it was
the hottest day in a decade according to Farmer's Almanac
that I read, and John Ramos turned on the water
spickett and he left it on a memorable day. That

(06:06):
was great.

Speaker 7 (06:07):
Now Number one, I would rather play golf in that
weather than like of the one hundred percent of humidity
days you could get where Doug is right now, you
know back when you get the humidity in the Midwest,
it is so hot. Yes, it is just there's there
is no relief, the great thing about that. And I
feel a little guilty talking about this because John is

(06:27):
not here. But remember it had to be cleared by Suzanne.
Oh so like this had to be cleared by Susanne
at that time for him to be able to make it.
We are coming up on the two year anniversary. There
was not a second edition of the Doug Gottlieb Show
place Hooky. I don't think there's going to be one
this year, but you never know. Things could change.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
Okay, So my weekend tonight, I will be going to
the Blizzard game, Green Bay Blizzard and the championship of
the uh into Her Football League.

Speaker 5 (07:02):
And you had just been at one, right, well, we.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
Were at the semi final team one yet there, Yeah,
and so my man lt is the owner. He invited
us down there and it's really cool to sit in.
I can't remember what it's called. It's like the garage
or the alley or something, and it's like right next
to the field. It's cool anyway.

Speaker 3 (07:20):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
And then tomorrow I'm gonna I'm gonna scoot over to
try and find a way to Traverse City. Watch my
daughter ride. I may leave starting driving late tonight and
then she she'd riding horses the last show before she
was to college. And then tomorrow night is the Packers
Family Day, which is a huge thing locally where the
Packers basically have a open the public scrimmage in lambeau

(07:42):
Field and our entire group is going. Sunday will be
a day of rest, potentially.

Speaker 5 (07:47):
Golf, oh man, drinking.

Speaker 2 (07:51):
I'm big on, yeah, I'm big on. I'm big on
the Shandy's lighting, Google Shandies. I'm big on right now.

Speaker 5 (07:59):
So what are the details on that Packer thing? Is
it's a tradition, you.

Speaker 2 (08:02):
Say, yes, yeah, so it's it's they have Stace Cell
tickets to it. It's mostly whereas like Packer home games,
and Dan can speak to this where I know he's
not a Packer fan, but he's Wisconsinit Packer home games
are you know, people come from all around the rule,
all around the country as well as obviously Packer's season ticketolders.
Whereas Family Night is I think the players all bring

(08:25):
their families. But it's also just it's just like local
people come in to watch the Packers.

Speaker 5 (08:30):
Yeah, it's a team scrimmage, and other NFL teams do this.

Speaker 7 (08:33):
Packers have done it for a while now, but it again,
you know, to Sam when Sam was totally ripping apart
the NFL preseason, one of the things that I said
is it allows maybe fans who don't go to games
or can't go to games, to allow them to get
inside Lambeufield and to see their favorite players. And it
could be for any NFL team, and that allows them

(08:54):
to do it. It is very well attended. It is
a very popular event for the for the Packers because
it's a bit of a kind of a not a
free for all scrimmage, but that's what it is, just
a scrimmage at lambeau Field. And yeah, you get the
cheer on your Packers and take in the evening's. Yeah,
it's a cool event. There you go another sports calendar

(09:14):
landmark that you would have.

Speaker 6 (09:17):
Sure I'd go to something like that. Yeah, Sally see Lambo.
I've never been to Lambeau Bill.

Speaker 2 (09:24):
Are you is Iowa coming out to the West coast
this year?

Speaker 6 (09:27):
I believe they're at UCLA, So I will be at
the Rose Bull for that.

Speaker 2 (09:30):
Can that will be like seventy percent Iowa fans and.

Speaker 5 (09:34):
The stadium won't even be half full.

Speaker 2 (09:35):
Probably, yes it will, it'll be completely full.

Speaker 6 (09:38):
Oh, I don't know about that. It's like what ninety thousand? Yeah,
I don't know. Well, they'll still have those tarps on
a couple of those spots.

Speaker 5 (09:44):
We should ask to Sean Foster where UCLA is? Did
you see a shirt? I like that heleans into it.
And who else in the Big ten is in Los
Angeles as well? Those are the questions that need answers.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
You know, usc they're out here too. We're out here too. Yeah,
so funny, Like I can't believe it, and tell you
how many people account to me. It's like, you know what,
Deshan Fosterer, what was he thinking? What was going? I
was like, I don't know. We asked him and he said,
they just want to take more questions. Right, So we
play on the eighth of November. That place will be packed.

Speaker 7 (10:19):
So you know that Big ten commercial with the map
that they have aired. Oh, I love that it's now updated.
Next song, great song with the four new editions on
the West Coast.

Speaker 5 (10:32):
I want to beat it in that one. Yeah, yeah, yes, yes,
that one. That's whoever made that is did a really
great job. Classic.

Speaker 7 (10:40):
Yeah, so you can check that out. It's making its
way around the internet. Santamount of computer making and appearance,
I believe for the LA Schools.

Speaker 5 (10:50):
Space needle on there for Washington, but overrated Seattle space needle.

Speaker 2 (10:57):
I would agree with that.

Speaker 5 (10:58):
I paid fifty bucks to go up outing and I
couldn't have been less interested. Very underwhelming.

Speaker 6 (11:04):
Is it like smaller, like not as tall as people think?

Speaker 5 (11:08):
Sure, yeah, it's just not impressive. Overpriced. Skipping's never been
to Seattle, right travel.

Speaker 7 (11:19):
I've never been to a Seahawks game. I have been
to Seattle. I was up there for the for the
US Open when it was in uh at Chambers Bay,
just south of Seattle, so I was up there for that.
But yeah, I've never been up for a Seahawks game.
Stayed downtown, but I'd never made it over to the
to the space needle.

Speaker 5 (11:38):
Never after I after my Seattle trip, I got back
and somebody was like, did you do the uh the
Underground City Tour? I'm like what? And then I googled it.
There's a city underneath Seattle. Didn't know that.

Speaker 2 (11:52):
What is that city called?

Speaker 5 (11:54):
I don't know, sub Seattle. I don't know. Honestly, there's
a city underneath Seattle. Look into it. I didn't know.

Speaker 2 (12:01):
I haven't heard of Seattle in Portland post COVID pretty gross,
but again that's also from people who they'll tell you
the world's coming to an end and that La is
super gross. LA has its parts that are gross, but
plenty of parts just like they've always been.

Speaker 7 (12:17):
There was a popular Starbucks that was closed down in
downtown Seattle.

Speaker 5 (12:21):
Yeah, I was reading recently.

Speaker 7 (12:23):
So not the original, right, No, not the original, But
people are kind of wondering, like why it was, why
this one was closed down? It seems like it's a temporary.
But to Doug's point, maybe things haven't been great in
downtown Seattle.

Speaker 2 (12:35):
Not great. Anybody have any new drinks they'd like to share.

Speaker 5 (12:41):
I've been working a lot on the and this is
a recent thing in my life. Ginger and Jamison. I
just kind of converted it to that guy, Ginger and Jamison,
very refreshing, very good summer drink. Hmm.

Speaker 2 (13:01):
And that is Frosty Friday's kids.

Speaker 4 (13:03):

Speaker 2 (13:16):
Stug Gottlieb show Fox Sports Radio. Try and find that
Steve Kerr sound for you. I did want to play
for you this, so Kayleb Williams apparently told Vets. Then
he clean up after themselves, like his only request, all right,
and it had two very different perspectives on Fox Sports

(13:38):
and Fox Sports Radio. We'll play that for you after
we get the update. But look, this was Steve Kerr
after he met with the media yesterday. He was asked
about guys, the rotations and Jason Tatum not playing, then
embid not playing. They're pros, they're committed to each other,
Steve Kerr told the media when he's asked about it.
According to Washington Post, Ben Gulver, I don't read social media.

(14:01):
I would hope our guys aren't paying too much attention
to that. That's the regular season thing where the soap
apera can carry the ratings. Here, it's just win the
damn gold. I agree. It's what I've said the whole time,
as much as there's complaining from people stateside over playing time,
and I don't think Jason Tatum handled any of it
well with the easy questions set up answers of hey,
I'm just here to win a gold medal. He didn't

(14:22):
say that, But the fact is that if you think
people we are upset, now, wait t if you'll lose
a game, and I like what Steve Kerr is doing,
can't play everybody because then if it's the old if
you try and keep everybody happy, nobody's happy. So this

(14:43):
is the It's not a direct shot at Steven A. Smith,
who keeps railing about it. It's crazy, right, said nothing
about Joel Embiid not playing, only about Jayson Tatum not playing.
That's weird.

Speaker 5 (14:54):
I was singing this the other day. If you're Steve Kerr,
what's the win in taking this job? Like the the
only thing you're going to get is crap when you lose,
And these decisions like and you're supposed to win, Like,
if you win, there's no credit. What's what's the winning
for Kerr?

Speaker 2 (15:15):
I don't see there being one.

Speaker 5 (15:16):
I see one being an Olympic gold medalist as a
head coach.

Speaker 2 (15:21):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 7 (15:22):
But I say that because Doug, I've been on the
exact opposite of what's I think of what you and
others have done. I do not want to treat these
Olympics like we treat the NBA nine months out of
the year or rotations and.

Speaker 5 (15:35):
Who's playing and who does win. Yes, that's all I
want to do.

Speaker 7 (15:38):
I want USA to go in and I want to
cheer for usay, hope they win the games, hope they
win the medal, and then be excited if they win
the gold. And I feel like this this toxicity of
the NBA, he's just completely taken over these Olympics because
it's the same people and we're treating it like it's
like it's April or you know, like the NBA playoffs

(16:00):
and just come on, can we have a breather? So
like to the point of and I think Jason, I
get what Jason is saying because it's turned into that.
But I think on the surface, of just winning gold
and being like, yeah, I want a gold medal in
the Olympics. As a head coach for Team USA is
a pretty pretty awesome thing to have on your resume.
But I feel like it's maybe us in the media

(16:24):
that are making this much more difficult. And I wish
you wouldn't have said social media. I wish you would
have just called out who he was talking about, you know,
whether it was Stephen A. Smith, because we've made it miserable, Yes,
absolutely miserable to coach.

Speaker 2 (16:38):
Like, wait, I just want my twenty six points. Your
question me like, what, Like, Serbia is good, you can
lose that game. It was a close game, they figured
it out, they blew them out. All good, nobody and
nobody got hurt. Right, That's the other thing, you know,
the bigger issue has always been don't don't let a
big get hurt, you know, don't get hurt. He watch
to Liz l from Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She's our first

get a quick update, Dan, anybody got before.

Speaker 7 (17:47):
I tell you guys, what is going on on this Friday? Doug,
I want to ask you and Jason Stewart a question
because I feel like you guys have a bigger reach
on social media, especially you, Doug. Have you ever gotten
a retweet like it's popped up on your phone and
you're like or a like by someone You're like, huh,
you know that was, you know, maybe a tweet Jason
said something that have gone viral. Doug, you obviously are

(18:09):
very popular on social media. If you ever got one
of those where you're just kind of like that, you remember, like, oh,
so and so like retweeted my tweet.

Speaker 2 (18:16):
Yes, totally, it happens a lot.

Speaker 7 (18:18):
Yes, Steve Kerr liked a tweet that I had a
couple of years ago about an awful referee call on
an episode of The Brady Bunch, one of the worst
Brady Bunch episodes ever, when they had the grandparents come
in and Mike and Carol ended up playing the role
Florence Henderson and Robert Reid playing the role of the grandparents.
But so I tweeted about it and it did kind

(18:40):
of make the rounds a little bit, And one night
I was sitting at home and all of a sudden,
I got an alert, it says Steve Kerr liked your tweet.

Speaker 5 (18:46):
And I thought it was awesome, Like sweet.

Speaker 2 (18:49):
I agree, that's really cool.

Speaker 5 (18:51):
Yeah, do you have any Jason stand out once? I
once had one of my tweets about the Red Hot
Chili Peppers and how they're an awful band and how
they they turned under the bridge in the thirty years
of us listening to unlistenable music by them and just
out of nowhere. Gabe Kapler, Uh, this was prior to

(19:12):
him taking I think prior to him being a manager.
He probably was at FS one back then. And he says, uh,
jas Stu from downtown. That was his reaction, Gabe Kapler.

Speaker 2 (19:27):
Gabe Kepler, like all he does is post on TikTok
and as reels now right, I think so, yes, yeah,
And let's be honest, Dog probably the lady, the lady's
thirst trap.

Speaker 7 (19:37):
That's yes. Doug probably has famous people just texting him directly,
you know.

Speaker 5 (19:41):
So it's maybe that David Spade.

Speaker 2 (19:43):
David Spade liked and followed, and I was like, oh
that's cool.

Speaker 5 (19:46):
Oh yeah, that's date.

Speaker 7 (19:48):
Yes, Like especially when you get that okay from a comedian,
like that's a it's.

Speaker 5 (19:52):
A big deal.

Speaker 7 (19:53):
Yeah, all right, no laughing matters in Paris.

Speaker 2 (19:58):
I hadn't really thought of Andy Dalton until that. Mo right, Yeah,
I feel like, uh, you gotta be a Star Wars
guy for it as a name I have not heard
for quite some time. Andy Dalton. Yep, that's him, Andy Dalton.
It's not got Leeb show here on Fox Sports Radio.
I heard this, so Caleb Williams. Of course, there was

(20:20):
a couple of days ago where Bears camp and he
told reporters that he had told vets to clean up
after themselves his own request. Here's a Monti tumor. Former
New York Giant said this on FS one about it.

Speaker 8 (20:32):
He's Russell Wilson two point zerohh, this is not gonna
go over well.

Speaker 3 (20:38):
If you came in the locker room, I've been here.

Speaker 8 (20:40):
I've been in this locker room for eight years, like
you said, And you know he's gonna come in who
hasn't played one snap right talking, we're wearing the fingernail polish.

Speaker 3 (20:50):
You know. Now he's gonna come in here.

Speaker 8 (20:51):
And tell me we've been here, who've been through the struggle,
that I need to clean up?

Speaker 3 (20:56):
No, how about rookie, how about you clean up after me?

Speaker 2 (20:58):
Right?

Speaker 4 (20:59):
How about that?

Speaker 3 (20:59):
Don't give me this crap. I don't like it at all.

Speaker 8 (21:02):
I feel like rookies should earn their respect. Sure, just
because you got drafted number one doesn't mean nothing to
me because I don't even.

Speaker 3 (21:08):
Know if you're good.

Speaker 2 (21:11):
Okay, here's LeVar Arrington on two pros and a cup
of jet.

Speaker 9 (21:15):
I don't know how it became a story, you know,
I would say that that becomes an interesting, dynamic apiece
of it. Like I don't want to be embarrassed by it,
you know what I mean? Like I don't want it
to become a story like oh Kayleb Williams told us
to clean up, clean up after ourselves. But nonetheless, the
message is the message and the clarity of building a standard.

(21:36):
If you have a number one draft pick that comes in,
like he's supposed to just be submissive and be a
subordinate and not be seen or not be heard from or.

Speaker 3 (21:46):
This, that and the other.

Speaker 9 (21:48):
As as the leadership role of quarterback on the team,
like because he's a rookie, I.

Speaker 3 (21:55):
Don't I don't.

Speaker 9 (21:57):
Listen to MONI is a very very bright dude, super
dope dude. But I gotta say I fall on the
other side of this one. If somebody's coming in and
they're setting a tone and they're setting a standard, I mean,
if that's Ray Lewis, are you saying the same thing?
Because I can guarantee you ray Lewis came in day
one and he was the same dude that he was
day one, that he was the.

Speaker 3 (22:18):
Day that he left.

Speaker 2 (22:21):
I don't know ay Lewis well enough, but I do
know leadership. You can't suddenly become a leader after a
couple of years. You got to come in and you know,
there's there's a fine line to it. There's a way
in which you got to sometimes, you know, walk quietly,
carry a big stick. But I'm with LeVar there. I'm
with LeVar. The problem with like locker room et aquitt

(22:44):
in locker rooms being gross is that they just just
stuff just smells, you know, just it's so gross. So
you know, when you leave your stuff out, especially after
football practice, like, I don't think that's a The fact
that it got out is a bigger issue than the
fact that he asked for it. You know, like you

(23:08):
guys asked me to stop coming in barefoot with co
funk gets hanging everywhere, and I promptly moved away. That's
what I did.

Speaker 5 (23:18):
Is that what caused you to move away? Doug?

Speaker 2 (23:20):
That's exactly what it was.

Speaker 5 (23:21):
Not a great job offer. No can I can I
say one thing about this?

Speaker 6 (23:25):
If you're just throwing your trash around like no one
should expect Kaylen Williams to pick up other people's trash.
I think it's okay for him to speak up when
I see people like litter out in public, I'm like that,
you're the laziest person out there. Like that does in
just disrespect, It's disrespectful and lazy. But I also kind
of see the point of like if you are new

(23:47):
to the team and you haven't proven anything yet, yeah,
I hear the Heisman Trophy winner, number one overall pick,
so you have you come in with some clout, but
you should not just be the show up the first
day and just start barking out stuff. It will rub
people the wrong way. But I do like the accountability
and I do like that people when they paid attention
to those little details. I think that that that does

(24:08):
speak about your character. Like you know, I think Colin
was talking about this. You have a messy room. You
might have a messy existence on this earth. So I
can see I can see a Moni Tumor's point, like,
you know, don't come in here just because you were
the number one overall pick and start you know Boston
people around or you know it's going to rub people
the wrong way, because yes, it's a professional. It's a
men's it's a man's league. You know, you got to

(24:29):
come in and prove that you can do it before
you start doing that little stuff.

Speaker 7 (24:32):
There's a lot of different levels to it, absolutely, because
I don't even think it's just leadership. I just think
it's like responsibility and have a place the way it
was when you got there and granted the person before
left it a mess. Maybe that doesn't hold true, but
I think that if you're there, you clean up after

(24:54):
yourself and you leave it for the for the next
person or if someone's there to clean it up. Try
to make it maybe as easy as you possibly can.
It's it's a problem in radio, and we talked about
we've had it off air conversation, Doug, that you weren't
privy to of people having a cup of coffee, you know, no,
just putting it in a trash can with still like

(25:16):
part of the coffee in the cup in a studio.
And I'm sure this happens at offices in a lot
of different places everywhere. Yeah, yeah, just how about going
down to the kitchen and dumbing it out and throwing
it the coffee away there or pouring it out there
so then the person who cleans it up doesn't have
to navigate a half filled cup of coffee spilling all

(25:36):
over them as they're taking out the trash or.

Speaker 6 (25:38):
Leaking out of the bag when they take it out. Yeah,
it's just yeah, it's oblivious. It's obliviousness, like people are
just they're not even thinking about these little things. And
they do matter in life.

Speaker 5 (25:46):
I think they do.

Speaker 7 (25:47):
Yeah, And it's not even just it's not even about
leadership but just thinking. It's about thinking about other people
and cleaning up after yourselves. Have you guys ever heard
the term. It's like a camping term. Take only photos,
leave on footprints. So nothing worse than when you go
out into like nature, you go to a camp site
and people leave trash around, or they leave something behind,
they burn their cans in the in the fireplace, and

(26:09):
it's just ruining it for the next person, and you're
just being disrespectful to a surrounding an environment that you're
trying to say you're enjoying.

Speaker 6 (26:18):
You're going there and enjoy. But yes, take only photos,
leave only footprints. I've always thought that's a great piece
of philosophy.

Speaker 2 (26:25):
He sounded very wise there, It was, didn'y He almost
sounded like sage pieces of wisdom there. You know, you
got to say it like with a little little more
like crank up the bass in your voice. How about
how about this take only photos leave?

Speaker 5 (26:41):
Well, you were a footprints. You were referring to Obi
wan Kenobi, and I just wanted to play this earlier.

Speaker 2 (26:45):
He's on the drawings you're looking for, looking for that's.

Speaker 5 (26:49):
The name I haven't heard in a long time.

Speaker 2 (26:52):
Why don't you play the one that says that's the
name I haven't heard a long time. I don't actually
have that one, and I just do have that one
you're looking for.

Speaker 5 (26:58):
It's a good one, though. I liked one that I
looked when family got to their own Star Wars. That's
my favorite part when when when they bring up Kenoby
and Luke is like Kenoby, I wonder if she's talking
about old ben Kenoby. It's like if you have, if
you have this Jedi that's trying to hide from the

(27:20):
evil Umpire. All he did was change his first name,
like you'd think he would change his entire name, But.

Speaker 2 (27:28):
Nope, not so much. Not so much. There's a lot
of but there's there's some holes there. Don't get me wrong.
I mean you want to pick apart Star Wars, you
can feel free pick pick it apart. But there's other
parts to it, like if they can read never mind?
Have you seen have you seen Ted? Not the movie Ted,
but the show Ted. They have like the series Ted?

Speaker 5 (27:52):
No good, really good?

Speaker 2 (27:54):
I mean like, do you like do you like family Guy?
Do you like his Heemer? Do you like this the
movie Ted? Su then you like it? It's really good.
And I've seen I told you guys Deadpool and Wolverine excellent,
really good again, if you like that sort of movie
right where they're meta, they make fun of Marvel stuff.

(28:17):
It's very crass but really funny.

Speaker 5 (28:19):
Would you like a precursor? Would you suggest watching the
first two to get to get familiar, as it will
kind of a one off.

Speaker 2 (28:27):
Yeah, you do need to watch Deadpool in order to
what because you have to understand his background. You don't
have to, but it definitely helps.

Speaker 5 (28:34):
I also heard, and I've not seen any of these movies.

Speaker 6 (28:37):
I don't really watch any Marvel movies, but I've heard
that Wolverine, and I don't want to give any spoilers away,
but he kind of had a certain end to his
fate in a prior film and now he's somehow back
in this film.

Speaker 2 (28:49):
But yeah, it shows you how he's about.

Speaker 5 (28:50):
The magic of filmmaking.

Speaker 2 (28:52):
No, it's storytelling meta it's the metaverse. I to understand
the metaverse.

Speaker 5 (28:55):
You can manipulate time in space. I can't stand metaverse
that's introduced in this I hate that stuff.

Speaker 6 (29:02):
No mata first, where you're in like Facebook's Little Lalla
Land with an avatar.

Speaker 5 (29:06):
I thought that's what metaverse was.

Speaker 2 (29:08):
Well, have you seen the Last Spider Man into the metaverse? Yeah,
and it's frustrating where there's all those different Spider Man's
from different universes.

Speaker 5 (29:16):
Everything's in play because you're from you can if we're
recommending stuff. I was watching something last night that I
think Dan Biro like Dirty Pop. It's a new documentary
on Netflix about the guy that scammed Backstreet Boys and
then Little Pearlman. Yeah, it's really good. He scammed the

(29:40):
Backstreet Boys, he did pay wage theft, right, it's creep. Yeah,
there's a lot of things about him.

Speaker 7 (29:47):
Yeah, I've I've seen it up there, I just haven't
got a chance to watch it. I've been locked up
in the Eye of the Storm limited series from Discovery. Man,
if you like weather, that thing is I was telling
I would Sam really this week.

Speaker 5 (30:01):
On what Undiscovery? Yeah weather.

Speaker 7 (30:05):
Yeah, guys literally in the middle of tornadoes as it's happening,
and they are just crying as it's going over them
and through them.

Speaker 6 (30:13):
So you're saying it's better than twisters. I did not
see twisters.

Speaker 5 (30:17):
I did.

Speaker 7 (30:18):
It's all real life, it's all and you know, because
nowadays everybody gets their phone out for everything. I mean
the episode they did about the storms in Iowa, you
know a couple of years ago, two different ones. I
mean that was that was hour long on just the
State of Iowa in one of the six part series.

Speaker 5 (30:33):
That would be my recommendation.

Speaker 2 (30:36):
Gary, you listen to the show, say I disagree with
your leadership. Take case in point Justin Tuck and Mike Strahan.
When Strahan left being the voice and leader of the team,
Tuck stepped up. You barely heard from Justin Tuck before that.
I agree. But when you're a quarterback, and again that
doesn't mean you come in and you boss everybody around.
But if you just pick one thing, which is what

(30:56):
Caleb Williams did, just pick one thing, like a fellas
how can we pick for ourselves? You know how we
pick up at ourselves. I can't tell you. I just
don't think you can make somebody. You can grow to
be a better leader, but you can just all of
a sudden wake up a year two and be like, Okay,
now I'm going to lead. Shortly after the show, the
podcast will be going up. You missed any today's show,

Iowa Sam if we could make it the Gottlieb family

Speaker 5 (32:37):
Are you ready for that?

Speaker 2 (32:38):

Stroud?

C J.

Speaker 2 (34:25):
Stroud? Meroud?

Speaker 4 (34:26):
Is it?

Speaker 9 (34:26):
C J.

Speaker 5 (34:27):
Stroud?

Speaker 7 (34:29):
No, did not make it in our rankings. Around fourteenth
with the ranking of eighty a rating of eighty one.
First strike on the board. Over to Jason.

Speaker 5 (34:39):
Stewart, Wow, I can't believe we got a strike already. Yes,
sorry about that. So I'm gonna say Justin Herbert.

Speaker 7 (34:47):
Justin Herbert does have that foot injury right now? Show
me Justin Herbert seventh highest writing eighty seven eighty seven
for Justin Herbert in Madden, over to Iowa, Sam, how
about Jared Goff? Oh loving some Jared Goff got that
big contract this offseason?

Speaker 3 (35:05):
Is it?

Speaker 5 (35:05):
Jared Goff?

Speaker 2 (35:07):
Oh no, come on, we forgot a couple of.

Speaker 7 (35:12):
By the way, Jared Goff eighty two rating, slightly higher
than C. J.

Speaker 5 (35:15):
Stroud. That is thirteenth best according to Madden.

Speaker 2 (35:18):
Josh Allen, Josh Allen, show me.

Speaker 7 (35:20):
The bells quarterback Josh Allen gotta be there there he
is number four, a ninety two rating for Josh Allen.

Speaker 5 (35:27):
All right, Jason Stewart, you're up. Okay, this is where
it gets murky. It is, and we have not guessed
Dak Prescott yet. Yeah, have you no?

Speaker 2 (35:37):
Yeah, there's another one. Okay, Yeah, I.

Speaker 7 (35:39):
Need sure, show me doc, show me Dak Prescott. Dak's
correct ninety rating up ninety for Dak Prescott number five.
All right, Sam, just go.

Speaker 5 (35:51):
With Jalen Hurts.

Speaker 6 (35:54):
With voices in my head coming from the cornfield in Dyersville, contestants.

Speaker 7 (35:59):
Yes, show me Jalen Hurts eighty six, rating number eight
on this list. All right, three quarterbacks left again, we
are trying to get guess the top ten rated quarterbacks
in Madden twenty five.

Speaker 5 (36:14):
Here's a recap of who is off the board.

Speaker 7 (36:16):
Mahomes Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, Josh Allen, Dak Prescott. That's
your top five, Justin Herbert at seven, Jalen Hurts coming in.

Speaker 5 (36:24):
At number eight.

Speaker 2 (36:27):
I'll take Matt Stafford.

Speaker 7 (36:29):
Matt Stafford. That is a great guess, is it? Matt Stafford? No,
I guess too well, comes in with it.

Speaker 5 (36:38):
Actually it's ten eleven.

Speaker 2 (36:40):
They have They have two ahead of him, don't they.
Tua's got to be on there? And who's the other

Speaker 5 (36:48):
Sorry, unfortunate. No, that's okay.

Jordan Love by the way, the same exact rating of

(37:29):
eighty one that CJ. Stroud had. Those are your top
ten ratings for Madden twenty five.

Speaker 2 (37:36):
And he had another family they could have they could
have stolen.

Speaker 7 (37:40):
Should we call off another sports network and see if
they'll steal it, or another show we could have. We
could have Cavino and Rich come in, or you have
the odd couple they could have tried to steal.

Speaker 2 (37:49):
Do that. That should be a new bit. I like that.

Speaker 5 (37:52):
All right, that's game That's that's the press. Yeah, it's
not game time. They get out there and pressed.
