for you up covering We have some games my guy
Dan Buyer alongside NBA trade deadline is well now.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
Right, yes it is just pasted. Dougos could still be
done done.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
No no, no, no trades. So okay, do you want
to get me the rundown on who's been traded?

Speaker 3 (01:00):
Like?

Speaker 1 (01:01):
Can we do? The guys that matter? If you don't
get mentioned, they don't matter, Like I think that Mark
Williams getting trade to the Lakers does matter because it's
one of those, Hey, you trade for Luca, you have,
you know, three high level scorers in Reeves, Luka, Doncik,
and Lebron James. But Luca's a traffic cone. Reeves is

(01:23):
slightly better and Lebron is hit or missed defensively. Now
they got somebody to protect the rim. That does make sense, right,
all makes sense. Gives you a rim threat, a lob threat,
and a shot blocker. Obviously, I think that the move
the Bucks made. I don't know if Kyle Kuzma solves
their issues, but he's an upgrade. He's an upgrade over

(01:47):
a former star that they trade, Chris Middleton, who's kind
of aged out a little bit. So I think they
got better. Dallas obviously looking far different with Anthony Davis.
Have yet to see him in a Maverick's uniform. Dearon
Fox leaving the Sacramento Kings. I don't know if that
makes them. I don't think that makes them immediately viable,
but it's definitely a step in that direction where San

(02:09):
Antonio you feel like, hey, they're probably a season away
from being in mentioned in contention the Warriors acquired Jimmy Butler.
Is that the type of push that gets them back
to competing among the league's elite, and Kevin Durant isn't traded,
which means the Phoenix Suns continue to be kind of

(02:30):
a bit of a dumpster fire. Right feels like it
sure Knicks don't make a move this year. They made
their moves in the offseason. Celtics don't make a move.
They continue to push along. Calves don't really make a move.
And they're a team that's been the hottest team in
the East for most of the season. And that's really
the players. A I'm missing anybody that matters.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
I think there are two deals of substance.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
Clippers are getting Bogdan Bogdanovich from the Atlanta Hawks and
three second round picks. They sent Terrence Man and Bones
Highland to Atlanta in return. The Hawks also traded DeAndre
Hunter to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Karris lt, George Niang
and some draft picks Hawks and everybody. They traded Cody
Zeller to the Rockets as well.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
Yeah, it feels like the Hawks are about to hit
reset in the offseason. Yes, because they've last two off seasons.
There's been the potential threat of trading Trey Young. It
hasn't happened. But when you start to move every one
of the deck chairs around, you change coaches, you change
general managers, when you change everything, and the only thing

(03:33):
that hasn't changed is Trey Young. And he's incredibly productive,
but you're not winning anymore, Matt. In fact, you're winning
a little bit less. Then that feels like sort of
an inevitability that eventually he's moved to kind of hit reset.
Is that fair?

Speaker 2 (03:49):
I think so, But there could also be the equation,
And I think you're probably right of we tried this
with Trey Young. We put all these pieces around him,
and guess what, none of it worked. So let's try
to go a different route. But I don't know if
you have enough time to do that. So I think
that's why I leaned towards your thinking of it. They

(04:09):
made it to an Eastern Conference finals in twenty twenty one.
It's as far as they got, and that was honestly,
that was probably their ceiling anyway, for even them to
get that far.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
Toga, I think I think they that's happened in It's
happened in the NFL. Like right now, if you're the
commanders and you went to the NFC Championship game. You
were not the second best team in the NFC.

Speaker 4 (04:31):
You were not.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
The Lions were the best team in the NFC. They
played poorly and they got beat. Now they're gonna have
to figure out new coordinators and losing some guys and
rebuilding that defense. Okay, but if the Redskins think they're
a player or two away, they're kidding themselves. I don't
think they think that.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
Yeah, right, they're calling them the Commanders. Now.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
Oh, I'm sorry that I kept saying redid A good
part of that was our conversation yesterday with Rivera, with
Ron Rivera, who was basically said, like, I wish they
kept as the Redskins. They did lots of studies. They
should have kept his Anyway, let me congratulate the NBA.

Speaker 3 (05:04):
All right, twofold.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
This NBA season has been the boringest season on record? Right,
can you remember one basketball moment that you cared at
all about outside of why are they playing Brownie James
in the NBA? Like literally, that's the only thing that
has drawn any sort of attention ever. Ever, Like, and

(05:29):
I understand, Hey, you're a college basketball coach. I watch
a lot more college basketball a lot more film, So
maybe my mind is not on the NBA, but like, look,
I went to a Bucks game. I really enjoyed the experience.
I follow NBA teams. I have friends and coaches who
I call on in the NBA for advice and thoughts
and evaluations of some of the players we have, some

(05:51):
of the players are going after some of the players
were playing against. All that said is I'm a basketball guy,
and I'm telling you I couldn't be less interested in
the snooze fest that has been the first half of
the NBA season. And it's super weak. And the NFL
kicked the NBA's ass on Christmas Day. And you know
what the NBA did. The NBA said double birds. I'm

(06:12):
not giving double birds because we're on the YouTube. They
did double birds. And they moved the trade deadline to
Super Bowl Week. That's a bold move that I don't
know when they did it. Do you know when they
did it.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
It's been a couple of years, because I've had deja
vu sitting on the stage with you telling you the
trades that it went down.

Speaker 3 (06:29):
Really, yes, it is. It has been a couple of years.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
But what I think it was was the NFL had
to expand their season, so then it ended up falling
in the trade deadline area.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
Well, whatever they did, you know, you give me Luca's
been traded, Jimmy Butler's been traded, Anthony Davis has been traded,
Daron Fox has been traded, Kevin Rant has been flirted
with but not traded, and anybody else, any other stars
I'm thinking about being moved, right, But.

Speaker 3 (06:59):
Yeah, I think that that covers it.

Speaker 1 (07:01):
Right on Super Week and you have let's just be honest,
the boring is super Bowl Week you can think of,
right boring?

Speaker 2 (07:13):
Yeah, well, it's it's not driving. It's not driving. The
matchup is not driving the interesting.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
It's not just not It's not not just the matchup.
It's I do think I have I didn't go to
Bourbon Street, an you guys gone to Bourbon Street? Did
anybody go?

Speaker 3 (07:27):
Not yet?

Speaker 1 (07:28):
Yeah, And it's one of those things. We had this
discussion at dinner last night, which is like, do I
think people are gonna have a good time Saturday night? Sure?
Do I think it'll be the same level of uh?
Is it revelry? Revelry? I think it's with a V,
isn't it? Yes, revelry will it to be the same
level of revelry that it would have been before that

(07:52):
awful terrorist attack a couple of weeks ago. Now it's
not gonna be the same. It's impossible for you to
feel the same about this considering what just happened, because
we're all like sort of reasonable people. I feel like
college also is a little less reasonable, you know. But
you know it's right before the Sugar Bowl, right before
the National semi finals, and you know there's import to you,

(08:14):
is like should I be having a great time when they,
like just a couple of weeks ago, there are bodies
laying in the street. It feels weird anyway, point is
we're in this kind of weird place at the Super Bowl.
Weather's great teams are really good. Like the one thing
you can't argue with. You may be bored by it,
but the Eagles have been good for a couple of years.

(08:35):
They have a great roster, and you can't argue with
Kansas City Andrey Reads. But also they have arguably the
greatest quarterback to ever play. So it's not for lack
of great teams. These are great teams. It's just nobody's
gonna say anything interesting anymore because they're all worried about pushback.
Neither team has sort of interesting new storylines that we
can think of that really make you make you want

(08:59):
to watch the game. And I don't know, it's kind
of a blah week. And here the NBA comes in
and says, I got your block week right there for you.

Speaker 2 (09:09):
I would also say, what is interesting is one of
the bigger stories that I do think could have taken
place this week was Miles Garrett and his trade demand
from the Browns. And Miles Garrett was making the rounds
at certain spots here on Radio Row, and it almost
seemed as if not that it was part of the
pitch that he was pitching, but he was asked about

(09:32):
certain teams and the Commanders I know, were one of
the teams that he was asked about. And who's gonna
say no on when you're talking about like a command
would you like to go to the Commanders? Yeah, they
got a really good team over there. And then that
makes a headline, But that isn't that almost seems manufactured
in a way of I think an actual I think he.

Speaker 1 (09:51):
Got overshadowed by Luca, Like you got a guy who's
a very very good player. Miles Garrett's a very good
player demanding a trade which may Or Manhattan happened, It's
not gonna happen this week. Versus a guy who's arguably
the best player in the NBA, who just went to
the NBA Finals in a completely surprised move, being traded

(10:14):
in the exact same timeline that he said. He that
Miles Garrett said he wanted to be traded, So I
think that he frankly got lucid. He could be got.
He got lucid. Our set here in New Orleans stands
out as the best set at NFL Media Center. Why
because it's decked out with view Sonic monitors. View Sonic
a leading provider of visual solutions for education, work, and entertainment.

(10:36):
Visit ViewSonic dot com to see the difference. Drew Brees
is going to join us upcoming, but he's joining us.
He's gonna pop on set next.

Speaker 2 (10:45):
I think he's I think it's gonna be. I think
it's three o'clock local time he'll be here. I think
that's correct.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
Three he is, No, he's he. I think you switched
his schedule around. He's making the rounds around here.

Speaker 4 (10:55):
He's Brees is the next guy.

Speaker 3 (10:57):
Oh he is next.

Speaker 4 (10:58):
Kay, let's definitely have this on there though. That's cool.

Speaker 1 (11:00):
So let's no, no, it's okay. So let's just kind
of wrap this this the basketball talk. Is this what's changed,
because that's really what matters. What's changed Two things. One,
the NBA season was boring. Now it's not. And now
you have to at least consider the possibility that the

(11:21):
Warriors are players, don't you.

Speaker 3 (11:25):
Yeah. I think part of the reasons.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
I think part of the reason why this season hasn't
been as exciting, and I know that's not popular, but
that the Rockets, thunder Grizzlies, Calfs are your best teams
in your conferences. So you better hope that the Warriors
or Lakers are something now to drive that certain interest.
And maybe the way the bracket sets up, Doug, you

(11:48):
have it, so you have those Lakers, Warriors, Suns, however,
against those newer teams at the top that will propel
towards the playoffs. Yeah, I think that they they're players.
I'm just not as high on Jimmy Butler as I'm.

Speaker 1 (12:04):
Not high on Jimmy Butler either, but I do know
that he's an upgrade I believe over Andrew Wiggins h
for in the short term. In the short term, like
Andrew Wiggins hasn't been good since the NBA Finals. Just
when they won the NBA Championship, he was, he was
his best seller. He hasn't been that guy since. And
I don't know if Jimmy Butler still has it, but

(12:27):
and I you know, but I do think that if
he's second fiddle to Steph Curry and he brings incredible
toughness and postseason success, older guys, tougher guys have a
tendency to win in the playoffs. There does get to
a point to where you don't have the talent anymore.
And I don't know if if if he and if
Steph and if Draymond are to that point yet, but

(12:49):
I'm willing to at least conte And for the Lakers,
I thought it was a punt for the future, But
you add Mark Williams and You're like, I still don't
think they can get there, But I do think it's
going to be interesting. You have three guys that can
really score, you do have rim protection, your bench isn't
particularly good, and you're not very good defensively, but it
makes it you're part of the conversation.

Speaker 2 (13:11):
Again, they have more of a reason of going for
it than the Warriors do. I mean, if we're comparing
the two, the Lakers had more of a reason to
do those deals then, and the Luca deal remove it
from the scenario.

Speaker 3 (13:25):
The Lakers had a reason go for it. Sitting there
at five in the West.

Speaker 1 (13:29):
Yep, fair enough, fair enough Anyway, NBA season became interesting,
and I do think that the bottom of the NBA
playoff bracket became more competitive with the top of the
NBA playoff bracket. And the one thing we do know
about the NBA playoffs is regular season success does not
in any way mean that you're gonna have postseason NBA success.

(14:13):
I can't wait to ask him about the uh was
it Lamborghini out of Texas? I want to know if
he had to give it back, right, like it was
one of those like just for photos. Did he get
to drive it? Did he or did he get to
keep it?

Speaker 2 (14:30):
Well, we're hearing a lot of backstories now. Jamis Winston
is making the Rounds cleared up the crab legs story
this week.

Speaker 3 (14:36):
What he says he could so this.

Speaker 2 (14:38):
Deal would have been okay if it was nil in
the nil era, crab legs would have been okay.

Speaker 1 (14:44):
So in other words, it is what we thought, which
is those guys were always able to go in there
and get get free krab legs. It's just it was
Jamis Winston. He was caught on camera, yes, or that
he was getting free krab legs. Instead of putting on probation,
let's put it on the player, right that it was
gave this his fault and not anything with the team.

Speaker 3 (15:03):
That's what I think we found out.

Speaker 1 (15:05):
Okay, all right, you know what we should do. Let's uh,
I don't think they gave out crab legs. And when
he was when he was at Washington or he was
at b YU, it was before the nil era, right,
So who better to ask about about what he thinks
of the new football era, especially the rise of BYU

(15:25):
football than the legend himself, Poka Nakoua, who joins us
here on the Doug Gottlieb Show on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (15:30):
How are you?

Speaker 4 (15:30):
Life is good? Man? How you doing?

Speaker 1 (15:32):
I'm good? I got a bunch of things to throw
at you. What's like you get to the Rams? And
obviously Cooper had been hurt in out of the lineup.
Now obviously he wants to be traded. They're they're gonna
move him. But for a guy who's come into a
place where he was a gigantic, if not the biggest
part along with Stafford in winning that Super Bowl, what's

(15:55):
Cooper Cup meant to you and your rise to superstart him?

Speaker 5 (15:58):
He's been the best man, so to me, from the
moment I watched into the RAMS.

Speaker 3 (16:01):
Facility, he took me under his wing.

Speaker 6 (16:03):
He gave me all the information needed to have success,
and he's continued to do that. To be able to
watch that and spend this offseason, this past offseason with him,
to see how consistent he was during football season and
see that consistency carry out into everything in his life,
being a great father, being a great husband, and just
being a prime example of what what what my life

(16:24):
could be like and who I want, what the people
I wanted to surround myself like and with He's been
that example for sure.

Speaker 1 (16:30):
We as non football players, we love watching snow games.
Love watching snow games. Uh, that kind of bordered on ridiculous, right,
Like you just couldn't do much. Yeah, what was that game?

Speaker 3 (16:45):
Like? It was a wild one.

Speaker 6 (16:47):
I grew up in Utah, played some high school games
in Utah and we've definitely had some snow flurries out there,
but nothing.

Speaker 4 (16:53):
To that extent.

Speaker 3 (16:54):
So it definitely was a wild one. But it's fun.

Speaker 6 (16:55):
It's like it's what you put the Matten setting on
when you play the game, and is it as it
looks cool, it looks great, it looks like it's.

Speaker 1 (17:01):
But just like the Madden setting, there's all these fumbles. Yeah,
twenty four to twenty three and you guys fumble the football.
Otherwise maybe a different teams playing here.

Speaker 6 (17:08):
Yeah, it could be, And it's an exciting thing to
go ahead into the off season. It leaves a sour
taste in your mouth, but then it pushes you in
the off season. The more because like this is where
you want to be. Everybody, every team wants to hoist
that trophy up at the end of this week.

Speaker 1 (17:21):
We last couple of years we've had this Matt Stafford
reevaluating what's your level of confidence that he'll be your
quarterback next year?

Speaker 5 (17:29):
I'd say I'm pretty confident.

Speaker 6 (17:30):
I don't I don't know really too much of what's
going on, obviously with some of the recent stuff that's
been happening, but I know, uh, I feel like I've
been trying to do my part in keeping him there.

Speaker 5 (17:37):
I feel like we've had a great connection.

Speaker 6 (17:39):
He's continued to be a great leader for me and
our team, and it's somebody who we rely on and
we keep we we really appreciate here at the RAMS organization.

Speaker 1 (17:47):
Okay, you're here with go Bowling and the folks at
go bowling dot com and folks at PEPSI are you
a bowler?

Speaker 6 (17:52):
I am a bowler, actually, so I took I had
a bowling class in high school that.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
Wait, wait, wait wait, you get a bowling class.

Speaker 6 (17:58):
Yeah, my basket our coach taught the bowling class. So
I would spend a decent a decent amount of time
in high school at the bowling alley and I would
be there. I got my own RAMS bowling ball shipped
out here for this event. So I'm be super excited
tomorrow when i'mould be drinking my caffeine free mug Roup
year and then I'm gonna be hopefully bowling some strikes.

Speaker 1 (18:19):
Uh, Bolero Kenner, that's tomorrow night. You can be bowling
some strikes. So you have your own ball?

Speaker 6 (18:24):
Yep, no news, huh, no shoes, sadly, but I got
my own ball.

Speaker 1 (18:28):
Okay, Now it's just what do you know? What's the bowl?
A way?

Speaker 5 (18:30):
Fifteen pounds.

Speaker 1 (18:31):
That's a big old ball. It's does have the huge
finger holes or they are they're tailor made to you.

Speaker 5 (18:37):
They're tailor made to me. Yep, they're nice and set.

Speaker 1 (18:39):
Now you got you have your you got like obviously
you got your nails done right? Yeah? You got you
got a manny?

Speaker 4 (18:43):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (18:44):
My got that?

Speaker 4 (18:44):
Is that?

Speaker 1 (18:45):
Do you always have that? Or is that because of
the bowling?

Speaker 7 (18:47):
No?

Speaker 5 (18:47):
I got im always on these. I mean these are
my baby, These are my money makers.

Speaker 1 (18:50):
So when did you start this?

Speaker 5 (18:52):
Uh, probably sometime in college.

Speaker 4 (18:54):
Once I started.

Speaker 6 (18:55):
My mom never did this for I mean, we didn't
have enough money for me to be going to get.

Speaker 1 (18:58):
My nails done. So now and you double it by you.

Speaker 4 (19:01):
At you dub.

Speaker 6 (19:02):
Actually is that when it first started, one of the
tight ends, Devin Colpe Uh, he took me to one
of the nails lines that they've done. They take the
callus off your feet too, when they get your feet done.
I was like, why have I ever been running? Like
I have these calusies and I can get them removed,
And I was like I So then from kind of
that that.

Speaker 5 (19:17):
Moment forward, it's been my theme.

Speaker 1 (19:19):
That's pretty cool. It's interesting, like like people started getting
on to Caleb Williams about it, and then like all
my guys I talked to, like I have one of
my best player at Green Bay Gouy named Anthony Roy,
like he he hurt his ankle, he's been out and
he took a snapshot of his toes and I was like, dude,
you need to get a pedicure right exactly. Just nothing

(19:39):
like some ugly feet and ugly head.

Speaker 5 (19:41):
No, it's it's bad.

Speaker 6 (19:41):
And especially I get a nice clean, uh clear coat
and stuff like that, it looks real good.

Speaker 1 (19:46):
Okay, It's it's really hard to tell what you guys
matched up with Philadelphia because that game was was so wild.
But what is it going to be like to watch
the team that beats you play in the Super Bowl.

Speaker 5 (19:58):
It's definitely tough.

Speaker 4 (19:59):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (19:59):
I mean, I I'm not a fan.

Speaker 6 (20:00):
I would definitely say I'm somewhat of a sort loser,
Like I'm not gonna be watching the game. I hopefully
I'll be fine back and then by the time we land,
the game will be over.

Speaker 1 (20:06):
So I'm gonna say I'm the same way, like, it's
hard to watch somebody who beats you.

Speaker 6 (20:11):
Now, yeah exactly, And I'm like, man, especially if they
beat us by fifty, you would feel a little bit different.
But when they we feel like we're one play away
that from being right here in this moment, but wearing
the jump the jumpsuits that everybody's wearing the other night,
It's definitely is tough.

Speaker 1 (20:25):
Yeah, a little difference in BYU fans who pass out
ice stream to visiting fans and how Philadelpi Eagle fans
treat visiting teams and visiting fans.

Speaker 6 (20:33):
FA one hundred percent, very very different, two opposite sides
of the spectrum.

Speaker 1 (20:37):
Yeah, it absolutely positively it's pooking the could gin us
here on the Doug Gottlieb Show on Fox Sports Radio. Okay,
so you have your own ball, you have this go
bowling dot com. It's gonna be tomorrow night. How good
are you?

Speaker 6 (20:54):
I average about a two hundred. I'm decently good.

Speaker 1 (20:57):
That's really I mean, I think I could bolt. Okay, well,
here here's the other question. Do you have I think
I have like bowling add And by that I mean,
you know, like I don't know if he played golf,
but like I get to like hold fourteen, I'm like,
I'm good. I'm like a game and a half guy, right,
Like the first game, I finally get warmed up, and
by the end of the first game, I'm decent. And

(21:18):
then the second game I'm good and then I hit
like the sixth frame, Like, man.

Speaker 5 (21:23):
Man, I've been going for a while.

Speaker 1 (21:24):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's the same.

Speaker 5 (21:26):
I haven't played too much golf, but I have.

Speaker 3 (21:28):
We hited the halfway.

Speaker 6 (21:30):
Point and I was like, holy cow, there's no chance
we still got nine more holes.

Speaker 1 (21:34):
Okay, last thing, I think I think Stafford's gonna be
a Hall of Famer. What's he like? What's it really like?
To play with a guy.

Speaker 5 (21:43):
Like that, It's it's pretty interesting.

Speaker 6 (21:46):
He communicates really really fast, and he holds everybody to
kind of the same standard.

Speaker 3 (21:50):
He holds him to himself too. He expects you to
in terms.

Speaker 1 (21:53):
Of his verbage and how fast he gets the playout.

Speaker 6 (21:55):
His verbage, and then just kind of kind of how
he communicates in the in the meeting room, just it
slowed down. We have time for conversations stuff like that,
but out there on the football field, like it's a
time for we have to get those reps in.

Speaker 5 (22:04):
That time is very valuable.

Speaker 6 (22:05):
We don't get a thousand reps to be out there
on the football field, so to take the time in
the meeting room to understand so when we get out there,
the mistakes aren't trying to tell you what to do.
The mistakes are, hey, this is how we'd like to
do it this or how we can be more precise.
This is a technique we want you to use and
execute to get this play done. So he takes advantage
of all those moments, and he's aware of those things,
and he's always trying to make sure that we're at

(22:25):
the top of our game.

Speaker 1 (22:26):

best job today, right, No, no, no, no no, Tyler
Aljiers joining us, and so's b John Robinson, two studs

(23:51):
and they're downing these wings as if have you guys
not eaten today?

Speaker 4 (23:55):
No?

Speaker 1 (23:55):
Or do you guys have to eat at like every stop?

Speaker 4 (23:57):
No you haven't. So these are these are perfect.

Speaker 8 (24:01):
So have you hear some Mesmr?

Speaker 4 (24:03):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (24:03):
This is why you know what's you know?

Speaker 1 (24:04):
It's you know, it's weird, right. So? Uh, I was,
I was a big twelve guy. I played basketball Oklham
State and it was cut. You don't even be twelve anymore,
you don't have to work. So but like it's really
the last twenty five years that wings have been this
big a thing. Really, yes, Like we used to like

(24:25):
when you go watch the game back in the day,
I think sliders, hot dogs, pizza, pizza. The wing thing
was like right when I was coming out of college
it became big.

Speaker 4 (24:34):
But but uh, that's pretty cool.

Speaker 1 (24:36):
I got I got a bunch of stuff to ask
you Bejon Tyler. Let's let's Bjon. Let's let's start with, Uh,
do you did you get to keep the Lamborghini?

Speaker 4 (24:46):
Yeah, but it's still back in the Austin.

Speaker 1 (24:48):
Though your name is your name on the title.

Speaker 7 (24:52):
The name's not on the title. But it's like every
time I go, they're like, here, this is yours.

Speaker 4 (24:57):
Man. Yeah, it's something like that, Oh.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
Tyler, you do do you is that? Does that mean
it's his car? That does not mean it's his car, right,
it doesn't mean it's his car.

Speaker 7 (25:06):
And there's and there's the and there's a company car
too for the for the Mustard. So there's a yellow
Lamborghini that's the Mustards.

Speaker 1 (25:13):
Yeah, okay. The only other part too, it is you
can't really be inconspicuous rolling back to Austin if you're
driving a Lambeau. Right, Yeah, literally everyone will know.

Speaker 4 (25:24):
They will you're here, they will.

Speaker 7 (25:26):
Yeah, it's and then on top of that, like it's
not really tinted too much. Yeah, they have darker windows,
but it's not really tinted, so like they're gonna just
look and be like, Okay.

Speaker 1 (25:35):
I mean I listen. I mean, who am I? I
haven't driven a Lamborghini, so I don't know.

Speaker 4 (25:40):
What that which is?

Speaker 1 (25:40):
Okay, tyler n. The nicest car you've ever driven gots
to be.

Speaker 8 (25:53):
BMW BMW.

Speaker 1 (25:57):
No do you uh? Do you like the ke Wagon?
The boxing one?

Speaker 4 (26:06):
We haven't touch?

Speaker 1 (26:07):
So what what is the Lambow like to drive?

Speaker 4 (26:10):
What do you drive? Huh?

Speaker 1 (26:11):
I have a I have a one of those hummeryv's.

Speaker 7 (26:14):
Okay, yeah, I mean it's it's really just driving like
kind of anything. It's just it's not like driving anything outside,
so like just how you drive it.

Speaker 1 (26:23):
But like I understand, it's gonna steering wheel and then.

Speaker 7 (26:27):
It takes off very fast, so you gotta you gotta
gradually get into it.

Speaker 4 (26:31):
You can't just put your foot on the gas because it'll.

Speaker 7 (26:34):
Yank you, and you gotta like you kind of kind
of momentum yourself into it. And then when it slows down,
it breaks hard. So you need to you need to
like very gently put your put your foot on the
on the brake because if not, it'll it'll make you fly.
Everybody in there flying. But it's it's a very explosive car.
I'll take you that.

Speaker 1 (26:51):
Tyler year and be shonn Robinson join us here, Doug
Gottlieb Show, Fox Sports Trail, joining us on half of bounty.
That's why they're eating wings because you can't have football
without wings. You can't have wings.

Speaker 3 (27:00):
Without without.

Speaker 4 (27:03):
It's like this wing man right here, like this is
my wing man, hey always.

Speaker 1 (27:06):
I know he's I know he's your wing man. But
like the bounty thing, you guys also can't get anything
on those bounty jackets. You have the like as much
as you have the paper towels. You can't get anything
on the jacket. That's an art. Tyler, you did very well,
consider how hungry you were, and I get anything on it.

Speaker 4 (27:23):
I'm keeping the jacket, actually think I do. I'm rocking this.

Speaker 1 (27:27):
How would you characterize your year?

Speaker 8 (27:30):
I thought it was really good. That was really good.
I think I think uh wait, as personally or as
a team.

Speaker 1 (27:36):
Either it's it's what's got an opening of neutral question.
You take whichever way you want.

Speaker 8 (27:39):
Bro Let's go. Uh, let's go the team. We felt
like we were really close. We were really close, and
then but you were we were better than the past
three years. So I think that's a that's a great improvement.
But this time we just need to work on just
being one to know every week and then I think
they'll get us to what are what the end goal is.

Speaker 1 (27:56):
Did you know that Kirk was hurt? Because Kirk came
out and was like, now it's hurt that that's for
that happened.

Speaker 4 (28:00):
No, man, I didn't.

Speaker 7 (28:01):
I mean the thing with Kirk is like he's a
he's a super tough dude, so you know, I had
no idea.

Speaker 4 (28:07):
So he did.

Speaker 7 (28:07):
He just let it ride, let it rock out, and
you know, we thought we were good with it too.
But you know, obviously you don't know what's going on
internally with the player. But I mean he said it yesterday,
but hey, I mean it's football. You gotta be tough.

Speaker 1 (28:20):
You can't really when Penix came in for a bunch
of young dudes, what's that like to have that energy
come into your locker room?

Speaker 8 (28:28):
I feel like, uh, I thought that that was pretty good.
I felt like he already prepared himself to be a
starter right when he came in. So I think having
Kirk has a great veteran to look to take him
under his wing and then whenever, whenever his time came,
he ended up just flourishing.

Speaker 4 (28:42):
So I think no doubt.

Speaker 1 (28:44):
People have talked about the ball that Pennix throws. Yeah,
describe it as somebody who has to catch it.

Speaker 7 (28:51):
I mean I like catching it honestly because I'm a
lefty too, so you know, I'm kind of used to
like those lefty.

Speaker 4 (28:59):
Spins.

Speaker 1 (28:59):
But so it spins different.

Speaker 4 (29:01):
Yeah, it's been different. It does.

Speaker 7 (29:03):
It's i mean a spind, like the spind of the
football is the same thing, man, it's just the other way.

Speaker 4 (29:08):
You still got to catch it. Uh, But I mean
he throws it.

Speaker 7 (29:10):
He gets it to where it needs to be, Like
he gets it in the pocket.

Speaker 4 (29:15):
Oh god, you got you got you got you interview.

Speaker 3 (29:25):
He does.

Speaker 1 (29:27):
Robinson joined his Stug Gottlie show Fox Sports Radio. Uh
a year and a half ago. Before the season, there
was a lot of talk about running backs getting contract
to getting that big second contract, right yea, and all
these guys switch places and then they all have great years.
What's that feel like to be a young running back
and see that happen.

Speaker 7 (29:46):
I mean it's it's great, man, like just seeing you
know it was what three years ago when when this
whole talk started of like should you pay running back,
should do running backs matter?

Speaker 4 (29:57):
All that, blah blah.

Speaker 7 (29:58):
I mean it was all like just you know, opinions honestly,
but you know, to see where it's at now and
to see how much it's grown. And now you can
now we now teams have two running backs are that
are you know, playing at super high levels and that
that are effective no matter what where the game is
or no matter what situation it is, like you have,
I mean for us, like we obviously we have Tyler

(30:18):
and myself and you know, we're just doing things that
you know used to be like one guy can do
Now two guys can do it as well. And I
mean this running back is growing, this this position is
going crazy, and I think there's a lot of great
guys in it and obviously, like it's only going to
continue to grow from from here.

Speaker 1 (30:34):
Is on Tyler. I have a I have a theory
Saquon Barkley is actually an X men. Like jumping over
dudes backwards in a game the NFL is not something
that normal human beings can do. So do you think
he's really a mutant?

Speaker 5 (30:51):
I would say so, Yeah, he's insane.

Speaker 1 (30:54):
That like if Congress, if Congress ever has those like uh,
those mutant trials like we have in the X Men movies,
Like I would expect him to be called before Congress.

Speaker 4 (31:05):
Dude, that dude definitely has the Player of the year.
That was insane.

Speaker 8 (31:09):
Insane because it's not like he got stopped right there
now still he's still gaining the extra.

Speaker 4 (31:13):
Fun jump backwards and still got cayards.

Speaker 1 (31:16):
I was like, all right, and that's that's post knee injury.

Speaker 2 (31:19):
Yeah, crazy, Yeah, to that point, we all awe over
that move as running backs, What do you guys appreciate
like when you see somebody that thug or I wouldn't
see like that. You're like all right there and we
wouldn't know, but you know to good eye what what
what you know?

Speaker 3 (31:35):
Snaps with you guys in that way?

Speaker 7 (31:37):
Shoot, Well, first of all, I mean, obviously you can't
Discredita's abilities and his guy giving abilities and his talent
and what he does. But I mean this man has
an incredible old line too, Like man, them dudes like
create the most insane whole Yeah, And I mean obviously
you can see what happens in one year last year

(31:59):
for him and then fast forward this year and it's
completely different.

Speaker 4 (32:03):
So that's why I appreciate our O.

Speaker 7 (32:05):
Line and what, you know, what they've done for us,
because I think it's really important to have a good
line to want to be successful and to want to
run how you want to run, and have those kind
of spaces and things like that to use your gifts.
But yeah, man, I mean he's he's changing, for sure.

Speaker 1 (32:20):
I'm gonna pause beforehand. But you have a little whole envy,
that's what I'm Tyler Isaiah Pacheco on the other side,
that guy, he runs like you're holding down the turbo button,
like bro, slow down. But that's a that's a very
unique running style. Yeah, I'd never say anything like it.

Speaker 8 (32:43):
No, not at all.

Speaker 1 (32:44):
How does he do that?

Speaker 8 (32:48):
I couldn't tell you because he the way the way
he just gets out, but like is just automatically yes out, yes,
so like it's.

Speaker 1 (32:55):
Just a sprinter out of the out of the block
as soon as he gets soon.

Speaker 8 (32:58):
As he gets the ball. Yeah, no, it's crazy.

Speaker 7 (33:00):
I think that's a cool way to run, like even
though they even put his running style in Madden, which
is which is wild. Actually, Yeah, like he's vy running
like himself and Madden, But I think like it's good.
It's good for him because he can still control his body.
He can still control himself because obviously when you see
him running, think he's way out of control. But now,
I man, he's still be making cuts, he still be
making people miss. So that's that's pretty.

Speaker 1 (33:21):
Cool to I just say, we learned that he plays
as somebody other than himself, and that that's yes, that's
I do.

Speaker 8 (33:26):
Aren't you aren't you in eighty seven?

Speaker 4 (33:28):
Yeah? Ninety? It's kind of cool.

Speaker 1 (33:31):
That is that is it is? That is that that
is kind of wait, wait to check men, Tyler real quick,
all right, your wings like you're gonna order wings more
than ship bull. What's the wing order?

Speaker 3 (33:45):
Gotta go?

Speaker 8 (33:46):
Twenty twenty piece, twenty piece lemon.

Speaker 1 (33:50):
Pepper traditional traditional or boneless traditional good from where? From where?

Speaker 4 (33:56):
Go?

Speaker 8 (33:56):
Wings up?

Speaker 1 (33:56):
Stops? Wings out for stop like wings out fries hot?
All right, bijon real quick your wing order.

Speaker 7 (34:07):
I'm gonna go because this is for more than myself.
So I'm probably gonna go like fifty yes, okay, And
I'm gonna go half lemon pepper, half buffalo, and I'm
getting an insane amount of celery from wingstop.

Speaker 1 (34:22):
Uh blue cheese or Ranch.

Speaker 4 (34:25):
Ranch Ranch, good good call. Whoever says blue cheese kick
them off the stage.

Speaker 1 (34:28):
I just I can't. I can't do the blue cheese.
You're very I cannot do the blue chee. Hey man,
congrats on a great year, fellas. I appreciate it. You
can't do football without wings, and you can't do wings there.
You go make sure you guys don't get any spots
on those those jackets.

Speaker 4 (34:44):
Gotta keep him green vintage next year.

Speaker 1 (34:46):
You gotta bring the jackets for the host. That's what
you gotta You gotta bring the jackets.

Speaker 4 (34:49):
Got host?

Speaker 1 (34:50):
Uh real quick? Yes, I don't think he owns the
Lamborghini just because he can drive the Lamborghini now. The
only thing now, the only thing is he doesn't have
to If he doesn't own it, he doesn't have to
insure it. So there is a bonus today. There is
a benefit of that. Sure. That's that's a that's a
Austin education right there. That that's that's what that is.

Speaker 2 (35:09):
It's a got leave show here live from the Tierrachtler
big big fan of your plays.

Speaker 1 (35:14):
Appreciate it. Yeah, that was fun.

Speaker 6 (35:18):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (35:19):
By the way, l Gerald just truck you like he
will like he's that's.

Speaker 1 (35:22):
Like a thundering. That's like a thunder and lightning right there.
Plus they gut like panics can run too. Like that's
a dynamic backfield.

Speaker 3 (35:30):
Yeah, they've got They've got weapons everywhere. They really do.
And that's why so many people picked them.

Speaker 2 (35:35):
For as much as the Kirk Cousins and acquisition people
thought was gonna put them over the top, they're not
at the top of the division because of Kirk Cousins.

Speaker 3 (35:43):
They're because of those two guys.

Speaker 2 (35:44):
They're because of of Drake London, because of Darnel Mooney.
I know Kyle Pitts is kind of a bit, a
bit of an enigma throughout his career. But like they
had everything in Atlanta.

Speaker 1 (35:54):
They have they have some there, They have some have
some dudes there. Okay, real quick, the podcast we'll be
live at the top of the hour. Make sure you
download it wherever you download podcasts, and if you want
to check us out in the YouTube channel you can't
remember Fox Sports Radio on YouTube. NBA trade deadline has
come and gone. The Lakers every shuffle of the deck,
that's the big news of the week. Kevin Durant stayed

(36:16):
in Phoenix. Some dysfunction there. Jimmy Butler is a member
of the Warriors. It could have been Kevin Durant, but
Kevin Rant said, nah, I don't want to do what
everybody wants me to do and would be wildly popular. Instead,
I'll just be Kevin Durant and somehow be miserable in Phoenix.
There's never been a more Kevin Durant move than that, right.
I think you said that the other day.

Speaker 2 (36:36):
He does what people don't want him to do, and
he'll do, and what people want him to do he
won't do.

Speaker 3 (36:43):
That makes any sense, It makes sense sense.

Speaker 2 (36:45):
Yes, It's like my three year old, Please pick up
your toys, and then he won't for an hour, and
then he'll go upstairs and go to ben.

Speaker 3 (36:51):
Then he'll come back and he'll pick up his toys.

Speaker 4 (36:53):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (36:53):
Yeah, what he should be sleeping, by the way, you
should be sleeping in that time.

Speaker 3 (36:58):
That's the way it is.

Speaker 1 (37:00):
Dan's venting a little bit here. Now he's gotten Kevin couple.
Of course you do. Okay, we'll keep you updated here
on the waste management open. Obviously, one of the most
entertaining golf turns the ear and tomorrow we'll have our
picks for the Super Bowl, not just UH against the
line and the total, but we'll each pick a prop

(37:21):
bet that we like best as part of the camber.
That's all tomorrow from the super Bowl. This has been
