So there are signs when things are amiss right, and

(00:47):
with sports teams, those signs can generally be buy the
language right, buy the language is bad and oftentimes look
it doesn't matter the sport. But when it's grown ups,
grown men like they can do they keep it together better. Sometimes.
Can they get frustrated, Absolutely absolutely, But that frustration that

(01:15):
they have that they feel that exists, that is absolutely real. Okay,
that frustration. It can you can just sense it in
the personal interactions. At times, it's not when a coach speaks,
it's what the guy is doing when he speaks. It's

(01:38):
when the coach walks away. Does he roll his eyes?
Does he talk ish about the coach? Same thing with players.
There's sometimes you can see it amiss. Oftentimes when teams
are dysfunctional. You can see it when there just isn't
the fight to get back in the game. And it
may be one guy, it may be a bunch, or

(01:58):
it just may be a theme. The most obvious sign
that something isn't right is when you're like, hey, we
gotta have meetings. Nobody has players only meetings when things
are going well. The Packers have the weekend off. They
just beat the Washington Commanders after beating the Detroit Lions

(02:19):
in subsequent weeks, does anybody think for a second that
Jordan's love is gonna go? Hey, fellas, listen, I know
we're two and er, but we got to get some
things lined out. Players only meeting on Saturday. No, No, now,
maybe you should. Maybe it'd be smart, right, It's like, uh,
it's like preventive care. People only go to therapy when

(02:42):
something's gone wrong. They don't just keep going to I
know a smart people like I go to therapy all
the time, got it, But couple's therapy, it's great. I
would encourage you to go go when things are good
and just keep you know, just keep that open, honest
conversation with each other. But the reality is you call
a couple of therapists, you know, because things aren't good,

(03:05):
then you're trying to fix them. So the Dolphins played
one football game, and in what feels like record time,
they've had a player's only meeting. Here's a here's a
Dolphins linebacker talking about the player talking to reporters about

(03:29):
the players only meeting.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
Losing the way we did week one, it can be discouraging.
You know, outside noise, people talking, fans talking, family, talking
to whoever, everybody's talking, but just kind of making sure
that everybody's like together. When you lose like that, it's
easy for people to get discouraged and you know, start
looking and questioning maybe yourself or others. So making sure

(03:54):
that we all locked back in and make sure that
the belief instead of you lose belief, you don't have
no different. So make sure that everybody's still on the
same page and come back next week.

Speaker 4 (04:04):
Struggle.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
Jordan Brooks is the Dolphins linebacker. You had the visual
of Tyreek Hill being visually upset at either not getting
the ball, but again, you don't know, we can't read
like it might have been a lot of things. Right, Remember,
this is a guy who's being sued by his by
the mom of his kids as well. You're like, well,
is that what's bothering him? And is not getting the ball?

(04:27):
But bother him is that he's not as good as
he used to be as bothering him? Is it because
he's they're gonna trade him? Like, what's going on? You
can't tell? Jordan Brooks gave a lot of said a
lot of things. It was mostly a word salad. But
when you say we're not we got to make sure
we're on the same page, that means you weren't on
the same page. Anybody dispute that, of course not. There's

(04:49):
no dispute for that, none, zero, no disputing it. So
what do you what do you do? You call a
team meeting together. But that does make it even more
obvious that something is amiss. Now, the good thing is
they got the Patriots at home. The Patriots massively whiffed

(05:13):
on their first game of the season. But if you
can whip that bad at home, and you got to
go to Miami. And this is the time of year
where the Dolphins always play well at home because it's
twenty five degrees warmer and fifty percent more humidity than
wherever you're coming from. This is a week in which Miami,
who's a one and a half point favorite, should take
care of business. But if they don't, they go to

(05:37):
the Bills next week. Now they have Jets, Panthers, Chargers,
even at home Browns, there's some games that they could
win in there, especially when you're again when you're playing
at home. But the old we're not on the same
page thing. Ooh, we're talking one week in the season
and those guys didn't play in the preseason, so they've

(05:57):
played together for one game and already they're there's infight
into where they need a players only meaning what a mess?
What a mess? What a mess? Buyer? Is this fixable?

Speaker 5 (06:17):
No?

Speaker 6 (06:17):
Absolutely not. It is. Yeah, it's over. But this tale
isn't different than other NFL teams have had in the past.
I think that there are certain things that are unique
about it. But Mike McDaniel's not going to finish the season.
I think we know that, especially after what happened in

(06:39):
week one, it's going to be sooner rather than later.
We're pointing as soon as week three. Yes, this is over.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
Do you think it's over? How much of the responsibility
is that of Mike McDaniel, I would say, a great,
I'm going to ask you your opinion, so please. It
feels like I asked a question.

Speaker 6 (07:00):
Such not as much as you think.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
Well again, I have a little bit, not a ton,
but I have a little bit of inside knowledge in
that some of it is is optics okay, and some
of it is a little bit of inside knowledge. So
I was told there was a group of guys last
year and most of them are gone. Tyreek Hill was
one of them that they just could they that the

(07:25):
veterans on the team were like telling Mike macdaniel, you
got to get him in line, got to get them
in line, Like they're just and look, Miami, we've heard
of South Beach flu right after you when you go
down there and play in the NBA, that's a real thing.
It's a place where you can be a professional or
you can go have a really really good time. But

(07:46):
whatever was going on off the field or whatever is
going on in terms of locking in with teammates, there
was a general discontent with guys like Tyreek Hill, guys
like a Jalen Ramsey, some of the other guys that
have been sent backing. But that falls on the head coach.
And I think that he came in and he had

(08:08):
the swag Jyasah Bentley and he's got all he has
these quirky press conferences which he's entertaining as a matter
of fact, but at at at some point you gotta
be a leader, and sometimes to be a leader of men,
he kinda gotta be a jerk. Right. There's a balance

(08:29):
there between everyone hating you and everyone respecting you. And
I'm not saying they don't respect him, but they definitely
don't fear him, and they had a bad chemistry mix.
And then the I think the bigger part is that
no matter what you do, your quarterback's not good enough.

Speaker 6 (08:47):
Like Ah, there's yeah, this and there. I could see
why Mike McDaniel would get flack. I understand that, I
think fairly or unfairly for people that may not like
his stick may not like his style. I think that
he's going to get criticism for that. But even setting
that aside, I think that he maximized Tua for what

(09:09):
Tua could be. I don't think that Tyreek Hill was ever.
We knew at some point that Tyreek Hill situation was
not going to work out. I mean, if the Chiefs
are willing to trade you when you're at the top
of your game and you're winning Super Bowls, that should
tell you something. And he had a great couple of
seasons with Miami, but at some point something's going to happen.

(09:30):
He's either not going to be Tyreek Hill on the
field anymore, there's going to be off the field stuff.
And Hecky gets pulled over prior to Week one of
last year, so that had an expiration date. This was
also dug a team five six years ago that was
set up so pretty with first round picks that you
thought that the Dolphins were trying to build a foundation

(09:51):
from for the future. Tua was one of those first
round picks. One year that had three first rounders, the
next year they had two. TWOA and Jalen Waddle are
two of them. They also were docked the first round
pick because they tampered with Tom Brady. So while it's
all on McDaniel's shoulders right now, I just think the

(10:11):
organization is a complete mess. And I even just brought
up yesterday on the Network of Dave Wanstead is the
longest tenured head coach of the Dolphins since Don Shula
was the head coach. He was there for five years.
Jimmy Johnson was there for four years. And that Cowboys
documentary that we all watched, I think, by and large,

(10:33):
the way they portrayed Jimmy Johnson's tenure in Miami was
a failure. Would you get that sense? Compared to what
he did with the Cowboys, Jason, you watched, it didn't
sound like Jimmy Johnson's success in Miami was that good.
They made the playoffs three out of four years at
that point. Now you look back and you say, here's
a Dolphins team with Mike McDaniel, by the way, the

(10:54):
third highest winning percentage of any of those coaches since
Don Shula. So I get it, Like I understand like
Mike McDaniel is definitely not going to make it through
the season. But that's why I am not willing to
put as much of it on McDaniel, as I think
he did max out Tua. I think he made it
work with Tyreek Hill, and all of this stuff was

(11:14):
at some point going to expire. And for a franchise
that hasn't shown us really anything in twenty five years
of having any stability, whether it be Stephen Ross or
other ownership, it's difficult for me to say that this
is all Mike McDaniel's fault.

Speaker 2 (11:30):
I think that's completely fair. And he did max out Tua,
and you know, they extended Tua, and at the end
of the day, I think Tua is ultimately the one
who gets them all fired. Right. Is the chemistry off?
Is their talent off? Did they miss on things? They
lose a first round pick?

Speaker 5 (11:51):
Is?

Speaker 2 (11:52):
Is it his message? Great? But if Tua was justin Herbert,
then we'd be fine. That's just the reality of it.
And and you know we have to let's go on
a weekly basis, we'll see if we can pin him down.
I was told not by Tom but by others that
if the moment had come up that they could have
had Tua or Herbert. I think they would have taken

(12:13):
Tua despite the fact who's coming off the hip. I
don't know that for a fact, but ultimately that's what
gets you because you're so limited in what you can
do offensively. Where he has to get it, he has
to get rid of it quick and then you have
to win quickly. And if you don't, he's just not
a guy that can play with extended plays because he's

(12:35):
not crazy mobile and he's been hurt, so he's a
little he can be and then he's he's been reckless
and gotten concussions. Like, where do I sign up for
a guy who's had hip surgery and multiple concussions where
we thought maybe last year he should hang up playing football.
It is crazy, huh.

Speaker 6 (12:55):
It's just not good.

Speaker 2 (12:56):
No, yeah, no, no. And then again, after you've had
those concussions, how are you gonna play? You're gonna play differently.
You're gonna get rid of that point. If you thought
I got rid of it fast last year, wait do
you see this year? And everybody knows that. So what
do they do? They jam their guys, They pressure them,
they get them off their routes. They just like they

(13:18):
used to do with Peyton with Peyton Manning, only he
Peyton Manning. He can't make plays when he's off time,
but it did no good.

Speaker 6 (13:30):
They traded a first rounder to move up to get
Jayleen Waddle. Yeah, you know, like there's another there's another
move with it of a misstep in the draft. They
were they were set up. If you rewind the table,
you go back to us talking about the.

Speaker 2 (13:43):
Trede Jeremie Tunsel. They were really set up.

Speaker 6 (13:45):
Yeah, yep, because of the Hall that got.

Speaker 2 (13:48):
Yeah, and and I would say that the Jayleen model
thing was let's get the best weapons possible for this
dynamic offense and this dynamic coach and this dynamic quarterback. Oops. Oops.

(14:42):

play these five teams, do this, do that. But you
have a couple of knowledgeable people here, Jason Stewart, Dan Bayer, Me, Ryan,
you gotta pick. I don't know, but we we all have.
We're all oozing with supports, knowledge, and we really want

If you do that, all good. Let's get to our picks.
Let's start with the Jay Stude team barlay. Here's Jason
Syd Doug.

Speaker 7 (15:18):
I'll take it from here. You got to run to
the betting window for this one. Run to the betting window.
The early games tonight feature Colgate at Syracuse, Colorado at Houston.
I'm a big orange guy. I like orange, but I'm
not giving thirty seven and a half points to anybody,

(15:38):
including Colgate or Aim or Pepto Bismo. I'm not giving
it to anything that you might find in your bathroom.
So take Colgate and the points, and then you need
to pair it with something for the JAY'ST two team
Parlay Colorado is at Houston. I will I want to

(15:59):
take I'm in four and a half points at Houston,
and just a quick message to Houston fans, Andre Ware
is not coming through that door. Pair of Colorado with Colgate.
That is the alliteration JAYSTU team Parlay Colgate to Colorado,
Dan Bar, I.

Speaker 6 (16:18):
Don't want to go with the public. I really don't
want to go with the public. But the Lions are
favored against the Bears, and the line is moved from
five and a half to six and a half. I'm
throwing caution to the wind. Let's go with the public.
The Lions bounce back. Short week for the Bears on
the road, even though Ben Johnson knows Jared Goff I

(16:39):
don't think you're gonna be able to stop Jumior Gibbs
and David Montgomery. Give me the Lions to cover minus
six and a half.

Speaker 4 (16:45):
Wow?

Speaker 2 (16:49):
Ra Wow? Okay, So Doug Gottlieb Show, Fox Sports Radio, Right,
I got to make my own pick, Ryan, do you
have one?

Speaker 5 (16:58):
Well, it's a Raid Chargers.

Speaker 6 (17:00):
I'm picking my Raiders Surprise Surprise by three, and then
I'm picking a bunch of Raider fans beating the hell
of Charger fans in the parking lot. That's kindy, that's nice.

Speaker 2 (17:11):
That's this week. That's really timely. It's excellent of you.

Speaker 7 (17:15):
I mean, yeah, you could say it's exaggerating, but you
know it's a ninety nine point person chances gonna happen.

Speaker 5 (17:23):
That's self defense.

Speaker 8 (17:24):
No, it's it's it's it's true, but it's not not
the week, right, not the week.

Speaker 2 (17:36):
I know it's not related, but it's not the week.
But yeah, sadly it is true. Right, Sadly it is true. Okay,
let's get to my pick of the week. You knows,
as much as I'd love to sit here and go
like man, college football seems like it is. This one
is really really, really easy. Okay, it's a follow the

(17:58):
money game. What's that mean? That doesn't mean anybody's doing
anything nefarious. It's completely legal what Texas Tech has built
in Lubbock. And conversely, what's happening to Oregon State? Right?
Oregon State's coach who had played there left went to
Michigan State a couple years ago. Their new head coach
cursed on on live TV. He wasn't wrong, but like

(18:22):
Ryan read the room. They're taking on the Red Raiders.
Texas Tech has a ton of money. They've scored sixty
seven and sixty two. Oregon State lost twice at home,
twice at home. So yeah, I know about the Emir
Boyd arrest with reckless driving and that they got some

(18:44):
issues going on in Lubbock, but you know what they have.
Joey McGuire has a ton of talent. Oh yeah, by
the way, Joey McGuire said, how they going to handle
it internally? We're gonna handle it internally. Yeah, internally. Texas
Tech third the nation in total offense in four and
a half yards in their first two games with uh,

(19:05):
with uh, how do you say his name? Baron? Baron
Morton is the quarterbackstorre for four fifty nine seven touchdowns
and no interceptions. Okay, so what's the lion? Is the question? Well,
the line is twenty three and a half. Not enough.
Give me the Red Raiders throwing tortillas and touchdowns in Lubbock.
Let's get to Oh, let's sing, shall we enough?

Speaker 4 (19:29):
Kick down?

Speaker 2 (19:32):
No? When the hole come on? Ryan?

Speaker 5 (19:35):
No?

Speaker 2 (19:38):
No, when to walk away? No, when to run? You
all money money at the table? Town Stuck Gottleib Show
here on Fox Sports Radio. He just said that the
Jay Stude team Parlay is an American institution and it

(20:01):
should have its own podcast. That's Jared Smith. That's what
he said, not me. Fox Sports Radio betting analysts, co
host of the Fox Sport Radios count Out to Kickof
with Rich Hornberger and Brian no Airs Eat Saturday, nine
am New Eastern Time. Let's live a native of Fox
Sports Tridio phillis the iHeart Radio appitsol presented by Bett
mg m uh. Okay, Let's let's get to some of

(20:22):
these picks here, Jared. Should be a really really good
weekend in college football. Let's start with Oklahoma. Kind of
sandwich game for them, right, They got ridiculous schedule upcoming,
and they just beat Michigan. They're twenty three and a
half point favorite on the road in Philly against Temple.
Against Temple, who do you like?

Speaker 5 (20:41):
I mean again, what's your favorite kind of sandwich dog?
Is it a grilled cheese tune of mel I mean,
this is like the ultimate sandwich spot. Oklahoma's look good
and John Mattier, I think the mechanics are still a
little wonky, but the heart, the hustle, and the energy
from this Oklahoma offense is there, and it feeds the
defense because we know their defense is great. Nibles is
one of the best defensive coaches in this generation. Put

(21:02):
him next to Kirby Smart maybe, but I do think
their offense now has a pulse and that makes Oklahoma
a very dangerous team in the College of Ball playoff.
But I'll be honest, Temples, they are a little better
than you think. Two and zero against two bad teams.
But this Owl's offense again top fifteen in success right,
number one in passing success right. I had to look
up this Evan Simon Kidd, fifth year senior from Rutgers.

(21:24):
He's a transfer from Rutgers, averaging over twelve yards per ten,
nine touchdowns, no picks, zero turnover worth. He plays in
his first two games, and I know they didn't really
play anyone, but they can at least cover the back door, right,
And Oklahoma's got Auburn next week. That's a huge game.
Coming off a physical non conference game against Michigan. I
think Temple is the play here. It's kind of a
hold your nose special in this sandwich game for the Sooners.

Speaker 2 (21:50):
I Actually, I just kind of dismissed that game until
you sent me that you were looking at it earlier.
I was like that, I just okay, here's a big game.
South Florida is. You know, they beat Boyses to nobody
knows how good Boise State is. Then they go and
beat Florida in the swamp. I don't care how good
Florida is in the swamp. Back to back, that's a
hell of a win. Now they get Miami, but they're
a big underdog. Do you like the number?

Speaker 5 (22:12):
Yeah? I think now that we're kind of strection past seventeen,
it's starting to get a little heavy for me. But
I do think Miami will dominate this game in the trenches,
especially on the offensive line, like USF is gonna have
to load the box to stop the run. I talked
about it when they played Notre Dame a couple weeks ago,
that this Miami offensive line is legit, maybe one of
the best units in the country. And if you give

(22:33):
Carson Beck time to throw and he just kind of
sits back there in the pocket, He's got a lot
of weapons at his disposal. So I think USF is
going to have to commit. But here's the thing. You
go into Florida and you win a game. It's one
thing to beat Boise right at home, and you go
into the swamp and you win. Now everyone's radar is up,
like you're not gonna sneak up on Miami this week.
So I do think while this is a very fun

(22:54):
Cinderella story, in fact, you could make the argument that
right now USF's resume is better than what Indiana had
last year going into the College Ball playoff with a
couple of ranked wins. I think this is a really
tricky spot. Now. USF does have this kind of moxy factor,
like they're great. They're they kind of remind me Notre
Dame last year, like elite in situational and momentum football,
great in the middle eight spots, great at calling trick plays,

(23:16):
the timing of those trick plays. I think the X
factor is Alex Golish being a much better situational coach
than Mario Crystal Ball. Like, if this ballgame is tight
in the fourth quarter, I think I trust Goalish more
than Crysta Ball. But here's the problem. Miami's defensive line
is absolutely loaded. Baine mesidor Blunt, He's this kid from
Miami Central, very prestigious program in South Florida that you

(23:38):
might have heard of. Marque's lightfoot Also, I mean, they
have dudes for days up front, and then I think
they're gonna spy Byron Brown, the running quarterback for USF.
They've got this transfer from Rutgers Mohammatore, who's a fifth
year linebacker who again has seen it all, very instinctual.
And Brown seventeen carries last week against Florida. What does
he have left in the tank. So I'm a little
concerned that this is one of those run out of

(24:00):
gas games for USF where they showed you their best
stuff the first two weeks and now you got to
reload again for a very dangerous and athletic Miami team.
I kind of think the Hurricanes start slowing and lean
on the Bulls in the second half and eventually put
some distance between themselves and win this game and cover.

Speaker 2 (24:17):
Clemson takes on Georgia Tech. Clemson said lost at home
to LSU and then struggle with Troy in the first half,
came back and got a win. They take on the
Wreck in Atlanta, and Clemson's a three point road favorite.
Totals fifty two and a half.

Speaker 5 (24:31):
Yeah, numbers come down a lot. We saw this at
five and a half, and you know then it got
bet to three and a half almost immediately, and now
we're seeing it hover right around three. A lot of
Tech money this week, and this number was nine over
the summer, So I would expect at some point, probably
now that we're at a flat three, we're gonna see
some Clemson money come in soon. The biggest question is
the Hayineskin injury status. It looks like he will play,

(24:53):
but I'll be honest, I watched some of the tape
last week. Their backup Aaron Filo was slinging it all
over the yard school wreck a three hundred and seventy
eight yards. I mean, this is a Georgia Tech team
that isn't used to having a passer at the quarterback position.
Usually it's a Haines King Grady runner who can maybe
make some throws as well. Buster Faulkner is a very
experienced and talented offensive coordinator. I am fascinated to see

(25:15):
if King is not one hundred percent, do they go
to Filo at any point in this game? And Faulkner, again,
I think he's a really good play caller. They just
gave him a big extension in the offseason to keep
him at Georgia Tech. And if he thinks that Filo
gives them a better chance to win because Clemson stacking
the box and taking away the quarterback run, maybe we
do see Filo at some point in this game. I

(25:36):
think is a really tough game to pick. Here's the key.
Brent Kee eleven and four ats is a dog against
top fifteen teams seven outright wins. But the average BREAD
in those games was thirteen and a half. So now
at three, you're basically asking Georgia Tech to win the game.
I think you missed your chance to bet Tech. I
think this is Clemson minus three or pass for me.

Speaker 2 (25:55):
South Carol has a three point favorite against Sandy at home.
Totals forty eight and a half.

Speaker 5 (25:58):
How about Diego Pavia. He's turning into like Peyton Manning. Now,
I mean you're talking about vertical threats for this Vandy
offense is not something I expected. Three big time throws
in each of his first two games. He only did
that once the entire year. Last season. South Carolina struggled
to move it in bad weather. Last week. I kind
of give him a free pass. Anytime the game gets
the laid and they come back in and out. I
think it's tough to really gauge how good they were.

(26:20):
And I'm sure they were saving some of these explosives
for the Vandy game. And I'll be honest, those sacks
and TFLs are an issue for South Carolina right now.
The offensive line is a little bit bulky. I think
Vandy again, if they can hit some of these explosives
and if Diego Pavia can continue to push the ball
down the field, it looks like the market is favoring Vandy.
We've seen this number get pushed down to three. But

(26:41):
I like Lenora Sellers. I think he is a Heisman candidate.
I think if South Carolina can win eight or nine games,
I think he's gonna be on the podium in New York.
I don't know if he's gonna win it, but I
think he deserves to be there. I'm still waiting for
that big time Heisman game this season. We saw it
a little bit against Virginia Tech, and then that one
got tight late. Of course, the special teams tilted it
towards the game Cocks. But I think at three again,
South Carolina. I think they're the better team, and I

(27:03):
think they've got more explosiveness on the offensive side of
the ball, especially with sellers.

Speaker 2 (27:08):
Fox Sports Tradio betting analyst Jared Smith is our guest
here on the Doug Gottlieb Show on Fox Sports Radio.
Last year, it wasn't really competitive. Now it goes to Alabama.
Wisconsin's a twenty and a half point favorite against Obama.
Squad lost to Florida State, turns around in just mollywamps

(27:29):
in a bye game. What happens against the Badgers.

Speaker 5 (27:31):
Yeah, it is a tough spot for Wisconsin. So they're
dealing with a ton of injuries on offense. They're gonna
have San Diego straight transferred Danny O'Neill as their starting
quarterback this week. Billy Edwards got hurt in the opener,
and you know, O'Neil played okay right like Wisconsin was
able to get by with him. But he hasn't faced
a power for opponent yet in his career. Again last year,
he played San Diego State. His two big games last

(27:53):
year for San Diego State against Boise and UNLV, he
threw four combined picks, lost by a combined score of
ninety seven forty four. Then you get the red shirt
freshman Dylan Edwards, who's gonna be the running back in
this game for Wisconsin. He's the leading rusher for the
Badgers through two games. Huge step up in class. It's
like again red shirt freshman forty career carries more than
half of them. Or this year. Now you got to
go into Tulscalusa against the pissed off BAMA team that

(28:15):
got embarrassed in their first Power Four game this year.
It just feels like one of those really tough spots.
I think that was a perfect storm for Florida State, honestly,
I do. And the game against Ulm last week. Brian Vince,
it's not a terrible head coach like the he's turned
that program around. So I think that win again with
the seventy two nothing like it was absolute dominant. So

(28:37):
I think the Bama defense is really the unit that
will shine here, and I think Wisconsin's offense is going
to really struggle to move it. I will take Bama
laying a big number at home.

Speaker 2 (28:46):
Georgia's a four point favorite at Tennessee. The totals fifteen
and a half.

Speaker 5 (28:51):
Absolutely love Georgia in this spot, I mean Kirby Smart owns,
Josh Heipel four and Oats. Since Hypel took over at Tennessee,
all four of those spreads eight and a half points higher.
So you're getting a discount on Georgia. This week I
laid three and a half. It's out the four now
I would still lay four. When I watched the Georgia
tape last week, I know it was against Austin p
but their offensive line and their defense is back. I

(29:12):
know Georgia last year struggled at the skill position group.
They had a ton of drops at receiver. But they've
got a first rounder left tackle Monroe Feeling, the center
Drew Bobo, son of the former quarterback current ocy Mike Bobo,
High Football IQ, the right guard Dontroll Glover, true freshman,
highest grade, highest graded freshman at his position last week.
Their backs, they all bring something different to the table.
Fraser Bowen's Phillips was a track star in high school.

(29:35):
I think this Georgia offense is going to be very
ground and pound, and I think Tennessee they know that
they're going to take away the run and they're going
to allow the receivers who are much better this year.
Young Bell and Zachariah branch to transfer to have a
lot of one on ones on the outside and gunners.
Stockton's kind of a gamer. He's not a guy that's
gonna sling it all over the yard. But I think
he give him one on ones on vertical shots down
the field. I think he can make those throws. I'm

(29:56):
not overly impressed with Tennessee's win overseer Use either, because
we all so what happened is Syracuse last week against
Yukon that wins looking a little suss as the kids say, so,
I think you trust Kirby Smart here to go on
the road and get this team right. George's performance last
week against Austin p Kirby Smart never puts his best
up on tape when he's favored big. In fact, he
has never covered a spread. I repeat that again, oh

(30:17):
to twelve against the spread when it's thirty eight points
or higher. So when they face these bad teams, he
just kind of throttles down, gets through the week, and
then we really gear up for a game at Tennessee
in what should really set the tone for who the
best team in the SEC is this year. I think
Georgia goes into Knoxville, gets a big win, covers the
spread big one.

Speaker 2 (30:34):
A and M at Notre Dame under the lights Notre
Dame Stadium, Iris sure six and a half point favorite,
and the total is fifteen and a half. Huh.

Speaker 5 (30:44):
I'm worried about the A and M defense here, I am.
I think Notre Dame can run it right, and I'd
love to see Jeremiah Love get a full workload. But
Price is a star too. I think when I watched
the game against Miami, right, Notre Dame din't play last week,
so they had to buy. They lose to Miami, they
go on by, and we don't really know what CJ.
Carr is right. I've only had one data point. It

(31:05):
wasn't great. He only had one downfield pass against Miami.
Eventually Miami took away those free access throws. It was
all hitches, slants and screens. And now if they're not
willing to push the ball down the field in Texas,
A and M can creep down and take away the run.
That's where I get a little bit concerned in this game.
For A and M now on the other side of
the ball, I honestly think Notre Dames defense is a
very underrated unit. I love the corners. I do think

(31:27):
Marcel Reid is a he has something to prove. He's
come out and said it. He wants to be known
as a throwing quarterback. I think A and M takes
some shots in this game. I would take the points.
I know it's off the key number of seven. I
got seven with A and M earlier this week. Maybe
we get back there, but I think A and M
keeps this one a little bit snug down there in
South Bend.

Speaker 2 (31:47):
Before Jase two, you wanted to get in on this charity.

Speaker 7 (31:50):
You had mentioned in the in this sidebar text message
today leading up to the hit that you're a big
fan of the JS two team parlay. They look for
to it every week. I just want to ask you
what do you appreciate about it most? Is that all
the homework that I obviously put into it.

Speaker 5 (32:07):
I think it's your nonchalantness and just how casual you are.
And also, frankly, you're very good at piecing things together,
like you just did alliteration this week and weren't even
trying to.

Speaker 7 (32:18):
Oh the alliteration. I'm so proud of that one. Thank
you and you calling syrahcuse Suss only confirms my Colgate pick.
Thank you.

Speaker 5 (32:27):
I'd be honest. You're running gassers. I'd be dug your coach,
you run, You run your gassers after a game. That
doesn't happen too often. You don't see that.

Speaker 2 (32:34):
I don't think those were gassers.

Speaker 5 (32:36):
I don't know what those were. That was. I've never
seen that.

Speaker 2 (32:38):
It felt like it was a warm down, so maybe
it was. That's when coaches do for themselves, not for

Bud Doug Moore, Dolphins Talk this time from Dolphins wide
receiver Tyreek Kill, who was asked by The Miami Herald's
Omar Kelly about it being the one year anniversary of
him not catching a pass over forty yards or thirty yards.
Here was that exchange of the Dolphins locker room earlier today.

Speaker 2 (34:24):
Is there any reason, rhyme or reason you haven't caught
a pass for over thirty yards in a full year.

Speaker 8 (34:34):
I'm trying to face me after this.

Speaker 4 (34:38):
I'm not I'm not trying to pish you out.

Speaker 2 (34:39):
I'm just trying to ask you what is going on?

Speaker 5 (34:41):
Because we see he's the speed is there?

Speaker 2 (34:44):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (34:45):
But the throws there. I don't know, Bro, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (34:51):
Bro.

Speaker 2 (34:51):
I say, I'm just grateful to be here.

Speaker 7 (34:53):
Bro.

Speaker 2 (34:53):
I love my job.

Speaker 4 (34:54):
Bro, Hey, you hit it, Calm, it's gonna come.

Speaker 3 (34:58):
Man.

Speaker 6 (34:58):
I feel like this week.

Speaker 3 (35:01):
We got a great opportunity to go out there, you know,
make some plays on and you know, moved pass last.

Speaker 7 (35:07):
Week and uh, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (35:09):
Man.

Speaker 2 (35:09):
As a call, sometimes I hope it's a terrible question
and the the interviewer blatantly threw to under the bush
has a terrible question, and and it's just like the
laughing at a press conference when something's not funny, it's

(35:31):
just because you're in You're clearly intimidated by tyreek Hill.
Anybody see it otherwise?

Speaker 7 (35:39):
No, But earlier in the hour, you made the comment
that he is getting into a divorce with the mother
of his kid. I just need to correct you with
but one mother of one of his kids.

Speaker 2 (35:53):
Yeah, but it's it's it's his main one.

Speaker 7 (35:55):
Not that's a story indicated earlier in the week, and
this was like an ap or story. Tyreek Hill has
had at least five kids this year. The key words there,
at least.

Speaker 6 (36:13):
I thought the second half of what he said was
the coach speak, which is the good teammates speak, the
the natural reaction of your trying to bleep me off,
and then the the avoidance of it was was not good,
which came out to his expense.

Speaker 2 (36:33):
But but we do all agree like the question was terrible.
I see the speed is there are the throws there? Yes? Correct,
there's nothing wrong with the initial question. Hey, it's one
year anniversary. Why is that? You know, he could take
it anywhere he wants. But then when you you know,
you basically say it's not you, it's the quarterback. Do

(36:55):
you want to officially throw the quarterback under the bus.

Speaker 6 (36:59):
Let's go from one unique situation to another. There's a
report from ESPN Cleveland, Tony Rizzio saying is that sources
have told him that Shaudor Sanders isn't even getting scout
team reps in practice, that it's Bailey's zap an article. Yeah,

(37:19):
I read that is getting the lease?

Speaker 2 (37:22):
Is Bailey's appy?

Speaker 6 (37:23):
Yes, the former Patriots quarterback. Obviously, Dylan Gabriel is the
backup to Joe Flacco right now, but should Or Sanders
is not even getting scout team reps.

Speaker 2 (37:35):
Let me look at this in the most diplomatic way possible.
There is a world there where Bailey's Appy is a
better fit for whatever the scout team is, and because
he's a veteran, it's an easier thing, like you just
don't have time for Hey, the rookie's got learn to
be honest, I just have time. Just Bailey's Abby's been
doing it.

Speaker 6 (37:53):
Lat fair enough, yep. I think that that's that could
be a fair assessment. I am curious to find out
what Cleveland's plan is there. If there is one with Shador,
maybe that'll change throughout the season. But I think that
your your assumption is is fair. FanDuel is going to
reimburse the Jaguars for five million dollars after a former

(38:16):
Jags employee stole money from the team and deposited the
funds into his sportsbook accounts. It was a story made
popular a couple of years ago, FanDuel saying that they
are making the goodwill gesture because of their relationship.

Speaker 2 (38:26):
With the NFL and because they print money. Right, yes,
they pretty much, but that's also some some mafia stuff
by fan by the NFL, like hey, how about you
give our team five million dollars? Like yet we're getting
him to Okay, yes, we'll give you five million dollars.
We're just going to maintain a relationship with you.

Speaker 6 (38:45):
That's the press.

Speaker 2 (38:47):
